Liari was just looking for a little more excitement before the inevitable coming of Arctic... Callion was busy, Athren wanted less than nothing to do with her, everyone else that was strong was gone or training... And so, the Majin stood alone in the forest, UNLEASHING HER POWER! Sand BLAZED into glass, the sky flashed with PURPLE sparking flashes, what little rock surrounded the Majin crumbled into more sand! Liari was effectively sending a signal to ANY AND ALL that could sense it that she wanted a fight... and she wanted it now. Perhaps it should have been a red-flag to Liari that she had been considering firing a blast towards a city or two to get someone's attention. Send them an offer they couldn't refuse, you know?
...But then she found her mind drifting towards her death... and Arctic. The last thing she needed to do was compromise her "truce" with Callion while that THING was still around. Worst case scenario, she dies before she can teleport her loves to safety! ...Best case, she ends up so weak and exhausted that, by the time Arctic got here, she might as well be dead with how useless she'd be! ...So all she could do was wait and hope someone took her up on her challenge...
"Stupid..." Liari growled, shaking her head. "They never do. Besides Callion who can actually FIGHT, everyone else is too afraid to confront me..."

The young hybrid named Liek had been taking some time to unwind after all the recent events he’d been through. Raising the Gau-la-Furia, confirming his relationship with and teaching Opherla, learning the truth of his heritage, controlling his Demon Within and unlocking the power of a Super Saiyan. So much had in such a short amount of time, all the while the threat of a planet destroyer drew closer and closer.
It was all so much. The boy just wanted some time to not think. To let go of all the baggage and let himself be at ease, like he had been able to before leaving his old home.
Diablo desert was not the sort of place the youth would normally have gone to, but right now he just wanted to blow off some pent up steam. And what better place to do that then where almost no one else ever went?
Turns out, he wasn’t going to be the only one out there on this day, as the youth sensed someone else in the area, right before he saw the explosions, along with the surges of power that came from someone throwing around ki, rising from the surface. The power had a slightly familiar edge to it, reminding the boy of little Terra, but this power was considerably evil in nature.
Not that Liek had a reason to hold anything against someone just for being evil at first glance. Evil came in many forms, after all. For all the youth knew this was a martial artist politician who caused no harm, but was intensely greedy.
Curiosity, and the potential to blow of steam with a sparring partner who could help him practice his Super Saiyan form a bit more, drew the boy in and he drifted down to be within earshot of the other person, finally getting a good look at them. The strange blue skin and bizarre appearance vaguely reminded him of an older Terra if she wasn’t in her hero costume.
“Hello there!” he called down with a friendly tone, “You wouldn’t happen to be looking for a sparing partner would you?”

PL Suppressed to: 45,000 And like that, as if fortune itself had heard Liari's fuming, someone had come to face her! In fact, it was someone Liari hadn't seen before! He looked... kinda like a human, though he had that weird tail-like-thing Saiyans had... A halfbreed, maybe? Probably. For some reason, those seemed to be popping up all over the place! Though, Liari DID find it odd that the stranger didn't seem to know who she was after the cataclysm that happened over at South City. She DID almost destroy it, after all! The Majin turned her sanguine gaze upon the stranger, a young boy by the looks of it... And without saying a word, she threw a punch. Obviously, at the distance they were from each other, Liari's arm could NEVER reach Liek... unless space folded around her arm entirely to make that a possibility! As Liari's arm extended, it faded away into cubes as it passed a certain point, seemingly disappearing into nothing... before reforming a handful-of-inches next to Liek's jaw! If she caught him by surprise and struck him, her hand would then shoot out and grab him by the scruff of his shirt and pull him in, yanking the Saiyan through a portal in space to reveal... that he was now standing right before the Majin herself! She had forced him through a portal! ...It was amazing how some people didn't get disoriented from sudden changes in perspective like that. "Well, hi there!" Liari greeted cheerily, her fingers clutching into Liek's collar. "As it so happens, I WAS looking for someone to fight! Lucky me!" ...But was it lucky for Liek...? Only time will tell! And speaking of time... Liari would smile devilishly as she faded away into cubes, her entire body disassembling off in a rightward direction before fading away entirely, dropping the boy from where she'd held him! A soft-whisper-of-a-laugh reverberated throughout the desert as if the very rocks and sands were enjoying a joke at Liek's expense... before a booted foot would shoot out from the space near to Leik, threatening to sweep the legs out from under him! Apparently the Majin woman was more then happy to oblige in a sparring match! Her throwing a punch was pretty clear intention of that, however the boy was initially confused as to why she was throwing a punch at such a distance. Was her arm able to stretch like those rubber themed super heroes? The answer became very clear a moment later as her arm faded into cubes and proceeded to reappear next to his face, punching him square on his very surprised jaw. He barely had time to process what had happened before the hand had gripped his collar and pulled him through the portal down to where the woman was, the only sign he’d been where he had been being shimmering crystals left scattered in the air.
Seeing the move for the second time was all it took for the youth to get a read for it, it was clearly a warping technique but it had a very visible and traceable tell. Even if he didn’t have a way of judging where she was warping yet, he could see when she was warping. Now he just needed to turn that to his advantage somehow.
When she warped again the boy’s instinct kicked in and he immediately took to the air, avoiding the leg sweep more by coincidence then skill before blinking out of existence with Cloud Fold, having spotted the leg coming for his head out of the corner of his eye, once again leaving behind a scattering of crystals in the air. In the same instant he vanished he appeared a few meters away and roared, drawing on the strength within, recalling the feeling that had allowed him to access this power the first time.
A golden aura erupted around the youth as his hair turned deep gold, large lines ran down from his eyes with both the lines and his eyes glowing like molten metal, churning and flowing. “Straight to the fun part?” Liek noted with a smile, “I can get behind that!” He continued to smile as Liari threw her ki ball, which he didn’t move to avoid, simply allowing it to be dissolved by his Energy Cloud.
Flaring his aura the boy grinned before Cloud Folding again, leaving more crystals in his wake, reappearing in the same instant he vanished next to Liari with his leg swinging towards her head in an attempt to repay her for her earlier attempt to do the same to him. As the momentum of his leg carried him through he threw a ki ball of his own at her center of mass.

Liari "tsk"-ed in annoyance as Liek did, what could only be described as, "a pro-gamer move" and quickly escaped to the sky, her kicks striking nothing but air as she stepped out of her fold in space. Look at him, actually using strategy... She was so proud! AND LOOK, he could go gold too! She stared up at Liek almost uncomprehendingly, a hand reaching up to scratch her head in wonder.
"...Huh... I thought that form was kinda special..." Liari mused before shrugging her shoulders. "OH WELL! At least this one I'll get to crush all on my own." The Majin would smirk, her own aura EXPLODING radically up to 660,000, EASILY matching AND SURPASSING Liek's own radiant energy! Her red-pink aura glowed hauntingly over the desert as the golden ki of Liek's Super Saiyan form bathed down upon it, the two warriors locking eyes as Liek proclaimed how he was MORE than ready to accommodate Liari!
"Oh, goody!" Liari proclaimed! "I'm glad you have some guts! Soooooo maaaaaaany of you Earthlings are SPINELESS! You, though... not so much." ...Just as she finished this thought... the boy disappeared, leaving behind these weird crystal-things in his place! It was as if the universe itself at blinked at Liek... didn't make it to the other side. Liari stared, blinking herself once or twice, the afterimage of Liek's presence taking a good second or two to disappear from sight! "...Wait, what?" Liari muttered, once again scratching her head in confusion. "He can teleport too-" -SMACK! Liari's head jerked to the side as Leik's leg came from literally NOWHERE, CRASHING across Liari's cheek! Mild surprise flashed across her face as she recoiled a step, surprised that this kid could just... DO THAT. Maybe he was special... Not many, maybe like THREE people could give the finger to space and just move wherever they wanted like that! ...This could be more fun that she had anticipated.
Aiming to follow up his attack, Liek would use the momentum of his kick to whirl around, bringing a hand holding an energy-sphere up and pressing it to Liari's chest! In a BURST of power, it would EXPLODE against her body, causing a GAPING HOLE to be blown out the center of her body, splattering rubbery flesh all over the ground behind her! The Majin looked down at the SURELY fatal wound in horror, her eyes widening!
"OH NOOOOO!" She cried, resting the back of her hand on her forehead dramatically! "I'm gonna DIE!" If Liek hadn't been paying attention, the gummy fragments of Liari's body that had been disconnected had all but disappeared, having slithered away into the environment! From there they had begun reforming behind him into a SECOND Majin, all while Liari herself distracted Liek with her over-dramatic lamentations of her impending "death." In a matter of seconds, a NEW Majin Liari had manifested behind Liek, it lightly touching his shoulder to get his attention! If he turned to face it, he would see Liari standing there, waving at him casually! If he turned back, the original would be gone, having faded into cubes while he was distracted!
"...Nice trick, huh?" The clone asked, resting her elbow on Liek's shoulder, leaning against him as if he were a wall or railing. "Speaking of which, what's that little crystal-thing you do?"
"Kaaaaaaaa.... Meeeeeeeeee...." Something muttered in the distance, easily lost under the whistle of the wind if one wasn't listening fully.
"Here I thought I was the only one who could teleport like that. Who taught you?"
"Haaaaaaa.... Meeeeeeeeeee..."
"I'll let you in on a secret..." The clone leaned in close, as if she were about to reveal something SUPER taboo. "...This is a distraction..."
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Suddenly, a DARK BLUE LIGHT would ENVELOP the clone as it waved "goodbye" at Liek, the energy then SURGING OVER TO LIEK, THREATENING TO CONSUME HIM TOO! Behind it stood that ORIGINAL Majin several DOZENS of meters away, her hands clasped together bottom-to-bottom, one-over-the-other as a MASSIVE haunting blue beam EXPLODING outwards from between them!

The boy had not expected to blow a hole through the Majin. If this had been anyone else the youth may likely have had a panic attack at what he was seeing, being able to seen through a person. But he wasn’t totally naive, after meeting Terra he had done some research and actually learned about the Majin people and how they where less biology and more sapient magical putty. So there was no heart attack or crisis of conscience. Just a raised eyebrow at the theatrics.
The clone, though? That thing still worked. That he had NOT been expecting. Nothing he’d read had said anything about Majin being able to do stuff like that! So suddenly having two of the Majin women, one he’d just been looking at, and the one now leaning on his shoulder was more then a little surprising. At first it was enough to keep him distracted from hearing the original cubing away and preparing her attack, but by the second question, neither of which he felt like answering in the moment, he’d clicked to what was happening and honed in on Liari’s ki. And just in time too! By the time he saw the Kamehameha coming he knew there wasn’t time to fold out of the way, so he braced himself, allowing the blast to impacting his Energy Cloud, then as the Cloud broke he deflected what was left of the Kamehameha into the ground, using the dust it kicked up to prepare his next move.
Forming four elongated crystals around himself he smirked and called out from inside the dust cloud, “NICE TRICK! HERE’S ONE RIGHT BACK AT YA!” And with another Cloud Fold he was right in front of her. Now many may wonder, why in front? Well, when you deal with warpers you typically expect to be attacked from the back or sides, so most people let their guards down from the front. Which is precisely why Liek went with that angle of attack… all while his elongated crystals attacked Liari from four other angles at the same time.
It was a flurry of attacks, punches and kicks from Liek as he moved in and out of range, while the crystals sped past, trying ram Liari from different angles, Liek warping himself whenever he needed to keep his range with Liari while the crystals chased them. After a few passes the crystals dissolved by Liek opted to keep up the pressure.

"Feh." The Majin grunted, her blast being dispersed, then SLAMMED into the ground before the boy, preventing it from completely washing over him. She really thought he'd be caught by that... Maybe he wasn't quite as single-minded as she'd thought... How annoying. Here she was, setting a perfectly good trap and he had the audacity to see through it! Some people just didn't respect the few seconds of time it took to form a good plan anymore...
Well, speaking of plans, Liek would put his into effect immediately, conjuring a quartet of crystals and appearing right before the Majin! Liari was quick, if clumsy to act, still not used to fighting someone who could zip around reality like she! Liek would attack ferociously, even landing a few punches on the Majin here or there... but his strategy would soon become predictable! Liari caught sight of the crystals hovering around the boy the moment he stepped out of space-time before her, him bobbing in and out so his little rocks could pelt Liari from the four cardinal directions! The first round of crystals were dealt with quickly by the Majin, blasting them out of the sky before they'd even gotten close with a few ki-spheres fired from her tentacles! The second round, Liari swelled up like a balloon, rebounding them BACK at at Liek, only for the boy to teleport away!
...Well, this was getting annoying.
"Well. Some Saiyan you are." Liari noted dryly, catching one of Liek's punches in her hand, pulling him in for a BRUTAL uppercut to the stomach! "Hit-and-run tactics? I thought you wanted to fight!" She would then SWING Liek over her head like a mallet and SLAM him down into the ground, backhanding three more crystals that came for her and catching the fourth! "...And why are you hitting me with rocks? Aren't you stronger than that? ...Let's find out!" Liari would then raise the crystal over her head like a stake and PLUNGE it down at Liek's chest as if trying to impale a vampire's heart... only for the boy to blink away again!
...But Liari had started to catch onto his tricks. It seemed as if Liek wasn't willing to commit to any kind of forward offensive, at least at this stage. He would pop in for a moment, throw a few punches, then let his crystals do the work! So if he was going to appear somewhere... it would be...
"...Ah, screw it..." Liari muttered, rolling her eyes. SUDDENLY, Liari would let out a ROAR of power, her aura EXPLODING OUT in a pulse of energy, aiming blow away EVERYTHING over a large radius, hoping to catch Liek and his little crystals WHEREVER they escaped to!

The blue Majin woman was going through his crystals pretty easily, but then the Broken Arm crystals where not made to take a hit, only to dish them out, so it wasn’t terribly surprising that she was able to destroy them so easily. But every one she destroyed left shards lingering in the air, just adding to the growing clouds of crystals filling the area the fight was taking place in. Even the round she rebounded just shattered after being blown back, scattering more shards. The same happened every time Liek Folded, the crystals scattering more and more, the air around the battle field sparkling with crystals shards.
“By blood only.” Liek replied right before she caught his punch, “More Fury cultural-oh fu-GRK!!” He tried to continue before she pulled him in and her upper cut cut him off. He tried to direct another wave of crystals her way while she sung him around and slammed him into the ground, but she backhanded three of them, shattering them and sending their shards to join the others in the air. He winced in pain and only managed to spot her trying to impale him with the remaining crystal, folding away just before it hit the ground and shattered.
It was fortunate for Liek that he decided to pick this moment to get some distance, instead of pressing the attack, because the Majin unleashed a thunderous roar, sending energy surging in all directions. It did succeed in blowing most of the shards around her away from her, but since they where all still linked to Liek he was able to resist her blast some and limited how far they where pushed until it would seem like the Majin was inside a sparkling dome as sunlight glinted off the crystals.
The boy smirked as that gave the boy an idea.
He revealed himself just outside the dome, “KAME.” he started doing the hand motions before folding to the opposite side of Liari, half way between her and the edge of the dome, “HAME.” Then he vanished again, this time appearing directly behind Liari in a crouched position before throwing his cupped hands forwards, “HAAA!!!” And nothing. No beam flew from his hands, just a fierce looking teen holding out cupped hands…
For about 0.01 seconds.
Then the Kamehameha wave would have erupted towards the Majin from the ground, the shards of the crystal she had smashed on the ground, and her surging pulse of energy had only embedded further in the ground, and come back together and acted as a conduit for Liek’s Kamehameha wave, allowing him to attack from where he wasn’t.

'By blood only...' HA! What a thing to say. Those with Saiyan blood were supposed to have the fearsome hunger for battle their race were known for! What was this, Liek being so conservative with his battle tactics? Where was his need to GET IN THERE and bust some heads? Where was that feral monkey pride Saiyans were so known for? ...Apparently not here, but that was okay. It made for a different kind of fight. Yeah, it might've been more IMMEDIATELY satisfying to knock Liek around in his attempts to battle her head-on, but actually having to THINK her way out of problems was turning out to be interesting as well! ...And speaking of THINKING, Liek would prove himself to be more of a strategist than Liari was giving him credit for! Cupping his hands much as the Majin had, he began charging his attack, the Kamehameha! ...Geez, did EVERYONE know this move? Well, regardless, Liari held out a single hand, palm open to greet what she assumed to be the GREAT BLUE BLAST that would surely come from both of his! Fine... When she was done dismissing his latest move, Liari thought smugly, she would show him a BLINK of her true power to put the fear of KAMI in him! It would serve him right for being so sneaky! ...And so she waited... and waited... And for another moment waited. ...Nothing?
Liari half expected for a pathetic puff of dust to POOF out of Liek's hands from how little his proclamation accomplished! "...That's it...?" Liari questioned, cocking her head. She then formed an energy-sphere from her outstretched hand, black electricity arching across his face. "...Well, sorry kid but your goose is coo-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Liari SCREAMED as suddenly a massive blue beam ERUPTED from the ground around her, consuming Liari in light! Her flesh seared instantly as she was caught completely by surprised, Liek's little deception having worked like a CHARM! He had channeled his energy through the crystals on the ground somehow and made them come out of THEM rather than his hands! HE had pulled a little distraction-trick too! With this realization, Liari disappeared screaming into the blast... before falling silent. As the smoke cleared, a vague shape of a woman twitched and jerked in the shadows, Liari's body contorted unnervingly, her deep blue flesh marred and burnt black from the aftermath of Liek's super secret technique!

"RRRRRRGH! CURSE YOU...!" Liari SNARLED through gritted teeth! "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME!?" The deep blue Majin's body slowly began to repair itself, wounds fading away, gaping holes closing, Liari's expression slowly untwisting into a more calm, collected expression. When she was fully healed, Liari stood over Liek, her expression a mix between slight admiration... and disquiet. "Okay, seriously." Liari stated flatly, leaning in close so that her face was mere inches from Liek's. "How the hell did you DO that?" WC: 549 TWC: 2376 |

Sometimes Liek just couldn’t help but love how Furiemshinken worked. For a bunch of honour obsessed knights you would think their signature martial art would be more straight forward and focused on head to head, face on duelling their foes and beating each other senseless like a bunch meat heads. But if one assumed that then they knew nothing of Fury Honour. Retreat and fleeing in the face of overwhelming odds where considered entirely reasonable and honourable courses of action. Things other honour obsessed cultures may dismiss as cowardice where interpreted differently by the Fury, when it came to battle achieving victory through wisdom and minimal casualties was as honourable and desirable as winning through raw brute power was, in fact the victory through wisdom and strategy was more desirable then the raw power, but destructive victory.
It was part of why the Furiemshinken was so tactical, rather then straight forward. It also didn’t help that the most proficient in the art where also all around the same power level, so victories had to be won more through out thinking your foe, more so then simply pummelling them into the ground.
These there lessons his Grandmother had beat into his mind over years of training, that he had to use his brain as much as his brawn, slowly overcoming his straight forward Saiyan nature, and instead nurturing his more cunning demonic side. And thanks to the intervention of both his girlfriend and his God he was more then willing to embrace and further grow that side of himself.
He smirked at the question, how did he do that she asked?
“Well, the warping is called Cloud Fold. It works by doing exactly that, folding space. The theory behind it that space, time and energy, while interacting all the time, are actually three entirely separate forces and one can be manipulated without affecting the other two.” Liek proceed demonstrate with his arms and hands, holding the tips of his fingers together while holding his arms straight, “So basically I take flat space and fold it,” He pushed his hands up together then, “Then layer the space of where I want to be with where I am,” he then moved his hands so the tips of his fingers still touched but there was a gab between the backs of his hands, “Then I unfold it and then where I wanted to be becomes where I am and where I was becomes where I’m not!” he straightened his arms back out, warping two feet to his right as he did so, before holding them out to his sides, “Simple!”

Liari stared at Liek blankly as he went about his explanation. She was SURE it made all the sense to him, the guy that made the technique, but the way he described it all... she could barely even repeat it before growing cross-eyed! It wasn't so much that she lacked the intelligence, after all she had 5 brains-worth of intelligence powering her noodle, but it was more that the description... scarcely nabbed her attention. Apparently, HOW you explained something mattered as much as WHAT you were explaining! ...Otherwise it went over someone (like Liari)'s head! Once his explanation was done and the Majin was no closer to understanding what Liek had said to her than she was BEFORE, Liari then took it upon herself to figure it out! Recounting Liek's explanation, the Majin pictured in her brain as if Liek were standing upon a piece of paper. He would then fire a blast and the paper would fold. It would then unfold and the blast would be somewhere else! She then pictured the boy himself standing on that same piece of paper, the paper would fold under his feet and then, when it unfolded, he would be standing somewhere else!
IT MADE SENSE! Liari's face lightened up! It sure didn't LOOK that way when he did it but if that was the closest image the Majin could come up with, then whoop-dee-doo! She figured it out!
"Aaaaah, I get it." Liari stated after a moment, lightly dropping a fist into her palm, emphasizing her understanding. "...Seems like a complicated way to teleport stuff, though..." She then narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. It seemed like Liek was doing a whole lot of extra work just to bypass conventional laws of physics. For Liari, all she had to do was tear open a hole in space-time and close it behind her! It was like walking from one room to another! For Liek... he was actively bending it, FOLDING IT, as the analogy goes and unfolding it! A much more ginger and precise application of magic, she presumed. Huh... Well, maybe she could convince him to teach her later, if he remained entertaining. If Athren or Callion were to get used to her typical teleporting shenanigans, Liari could maybe stay a step ahead of them with this technique!
Then Liek would attempt to be all polite and such, commenting that he still hadn't received this lady's name and didn't want to reveal his secrets just yet! She had to admit, he had a way with words. Liari blushed very slightly at his remark and giggled slightly, the savagery disappearing from the Majin... for the moment.
"Oh! Well, I'm Majin Liari! Maybe you heard of me?" She twirled a tentacle around her finger causally, looking off to the side as if she were all innocent. "You know... Me? Name a disaster in the last couple of months, I probably did it? Ring any bells? No?" If Liek didn't recognize her name or face by now, she would frown, almost pouting! What was the point of being a force of destruction if nobody recognized you? TORNADOS happen less than Liari does and everyone wails on and ON about them!
"Anyway..." Liari continued, brushing the matter aside. "...How old are you? 15? 16? And already a Super Saiyan..." She licked her lips thoughtlessly, her belly rumbling at the thought of such... delicious power. "...Wonder how strong you'll be later..."

While the boy’s description was hardly the best ever presented it was no worse then the one his Grandmother had given when she had originally taught him the theory behind it. Which isn’t terribly surprising since she was kidnapped at the age of fourteen and her formal education ended at the same time. Liek did technically get a more robust education, but most of it was through self-guided lessons and recordings from those with more complete educations like Carolina and Cay-Luum. Which really didn’t help in the maths department since Humans and Fury used different maths systems, with humans sticking to Base 10 while the Fury used Base 12/60, which was just weird.
Too bad Cloud Fold was developed with Fury numerics in mind, so Liek was forced to sit through lessons learning how to do all kinds of maths using two systems, presumably just so he could use the technique. Jokes on them! He didn’t think about the numbers while doing it! He just picked a location and ZOOP there he went! Sure, he could calculate the first five decimals of Pi in Base 5/60, but that didn’t mean he liked doing it! Or even knew how he was doing it!
“Complicated, yes.” Liek agreed, “But your portals still require you to physically move. That means there is about a half second in which you’re vulnerable. And if you opponent can predict where your portal will exit they could fire a blast through it before you pass through.” He then admitted, “I’m just not fast enough to do it.”
“Liari?” He had heard that name before? But where? But then he remembered, Callion had said she was going to help them fight Arctic. And Opherla had told him how Liari had been the cause of many of her nightmares since… “South City!” He suddenly blurted as realisation struck.
He was sparring with the Monster of South City, the person responsible for the most traumatic experience his most precious person had experienced! This knowledge almost made the boy lose his cool, the Super Saiyan instinct to destroy anything that stood in it’s way nearly taking over, but the boy managed to rain it in, but not before his ki surged around him from the burst of emotion. He knew how much stronger she really was, trying to do something as stupid as avenging his girlfriend’s pain would just get him killed.
“I’m sixteen.” Liek replied, “And already being thrown at world ending threats. And if that wasn’t bad enough I’ve got assholes like Callion trying to traumatise me to make me stronger.” As much as he wanted to say what Callion had actually done, he wasn’t sure telling some one like Liari that erasing souls from existence was possible was a wise course of action.

"OH! SO YOU DO KNOW ME!" Liari exclaimed, her face brightening at the recognition! "You wouldn't BELIEVE how bad people's memories are! They forget a rampage as easily as they forget what they had for breakfast now!" ...And what was more, Liek took a stab at Callion out of nowhere, claiming he was an ASS for what he was doing to improve his strength! Liari let out a BIG laugh at the boy's comment, her chortle carrying on and on and ON! HOW SURPRISING it was to find someone who thought of Callion the way she did! So many people on this planet viewed the guy with irritating neutrality or saw him as a hero! It was refreshing beyond measure to know that someone felt the same way she did! ...However, Liari's laughter would peter out as she noticed a flash of RAGE spark across the boy's eyes! Although he didn't let it escape into his face, however, that moment of recognition came with such rage, such deep-from-the-heart emotion, it caught the Majin's attention. A nefarious smile arched across her lips.
"Oh? What's that look for?" Liari questioned, lifting a finger up and poking Liek's face just below his eye. "...Did I hurt someone you know? I kinda stomped all over a city so... I think the odds are pretty good."
Liari's amusement came at the cost of Liek and she knew it. Hell, she kinda even relished it! Maybe he'd actually start fighting now instead of this little dance they'd been doing. Yeah, it was a fun appetizer and all, but she was starting to get bored of it. There was only so much fun one could have without using their full power. It was like lifting weights WAY below your strength level or eating meaningless snacks like pork rinds or pretzels to quench your hunger: It didn't last for long and quickly got old. Liari recounted what Liek had said, that he seemed to be frustrated with his lot in life, that he didn't like how he was being made to get stronger to fight world-ending threats.
"Like me." Liari thought to herself, her smile growing a little larger. She would have to thank Callion later for doing her this little favor and training Liek for her. He seemed like a very promising little snack, if she judged-so-herself. He was witty, strong, and very, VERY angsty underneath all that politeness. If she could make him a little angry... maybe she could invoke some kind of life-long mission to destroy her like with ABAS or something. ...That could be fun.
"...Well, whatever I did to make you mad... mind thinking about it a bit and working yourself up? I'm getting bored with our little spar and I reeeeeeeeally want an excuse to hit you harder than I was."

“Only by reputation.” Liek replied with his gaze downcast, “You didn’t fight her directly, but your actions left her with nightmares.” he explained how he knew about the destructive Majin, recalling the story Opherla had told him, the story she had used to help fuel his initial awakening as a Super Saiyan. The long lingering pain in her words, the emotional scars and trauma she still carried, that had motivated her to keep aiming higher and higher so she could prevent a scenario like that from happening again. And here he was, facing that same monster from back then, cause of those traumas, those scars and that pain.
He felt anger, that much was true. But it wasn’t Liari. Everything that had been done to Opherla hurt him, clawed away at his heart and made it ache to take all her pain away. But he was powerless to do that for her. That’s what angered him, his inability to make it so his beloved could live entirely in happiness, without the suffering this wretched world had thrust on her.
Did he blame Liari? No. The boy had no doubt if it hadn’t been her then it would have been someone else. Someone better? Someone worse? Did it matter. Sooner or later someone was going to get a big head and cause who knows how much destruction somewhere, and Opherla was going to get dragged into it, all while he’d been kept in place by his grandmother who deemed him too young to intervene.
But his grandmother was gone now and he had no other family to turn to in times of need. He was a teenager, a child, thrust into a world seeming out to make him and the most precious person in his life suffer. World ending threats, crazed monsters, uncaring teachers… he should have been going to a school, getting a formal education. His most pressing concerns should have been exams and his dating life.
Yet here he was…
A child hovering face to face with one of the most destructive, heartless, uncaring and vile beings alive. It all just made him feel… tired.
Despite her goading he wasn’t brought to a boiling anger. Despite his frustrations, despite his Super Saiyan form making him easier to anger and more eager to be angry, that isn’t where he stayed. It lingered and fuelled him, but it did not rule his mind. He ruled it.
“No.” Liek said defiantly, “You… Callion… you’re the same. Anger this, anger that.” His eyes narrowed, “You’re so obsessed with making me angry. So blind…” He thrust his hands forward unleashing a pointblank ki blast at Liari in the exact moment six Broken Arm crystals, that he had formed from the crystals floating around them when he started talking, careened at her from behind, “To alternatives!”

"Well, hell." Liari shrugged. "If getting you jubilant makes you fight harder, then do that. I don't care." Liek's hands would shoot up and, in a FLASH of movement, the Majin's would clamp around his wrists, pulling them to either side of her! If his blasts still fired, they would shoot harmlessly over either shoulder of the Majin's, but he wasn't yet done! MORE CRYSTALS would shoot at Liari from behind! Liari rolled her eyes, sensing them shoot through the air behind her from a mile away! She looked at Liek, disappointed, as her form distorted rapidly, barely resembling anything like the human form as the crystals SHOT forward, her shape bending around them as fluidly as if it were water! If Liek didn't do something, he would be pelted by his own attack, clobbered by the very crystals he conjured!
...Liari might've laughed at that. And why not? It was practically slapstick! She would then fade away into cubes before him before a hand would LATCH onto the back of Liek's head and drive him down into the dirt! She would them lightly kick at his ribs with a boot, standing over him all the while!
"I'd be hoping for something more than just nightmares after all the effort I put in." Liari commented dryly as Liek recounted the condition of his friend. "I got all dressed up in my best form and everything... Maybe I should try again, put my back into it, you could say!" She looked at Liek expectantly, being less than satisfied with the exhausted, borderline depressed look on his face. She tilted her head to the side thoughtfully. Just WHAT had Callion put this punk through that made him behave this way...?
"I dunno how long you've been with Callion, but if you've taken one look at that loser, you know we're not alike. Just look at him!" She waved a hand in a random direction as if Callion were there himself. "Big, fat muscly Saiyan with more hair than brains and a determination to wax lyrical like I've never seen." She rolled her eyes at the memory. "'I love this... Greater good that... Look at me, I sooper smart monkey-thing!'" Liari did her best brain-dead Callion impression, the Majin struggling to hide her own smile!
"...And besides, he couldn't match my stunning good looks." For emphasis, Liari brushed aside one of her bang-tentacles as if it were getting in the way! If Liek hadn't risen himself yet, Liari would scoop him up, holding him upright by his collar. "Rise and shine, sleepy-head. It's not over for you yet." She would gently slap Liek's face forehand and backhand, striking both sides of his face just enough to sting.
"You wanted this, right? Come on... Unleash that power of yours Callion wanted so badly... Do it yourself so I don't have to experiment. I'm feeling quite lazy today so I might start out... extreme." The Majin lifted her free hand, her fingers suddenly sharpening into claws, claws that slowly descended towards his face!
