The Gau-la-Furia was a massive vessel built on a scale most people of Earth, and even the galaxy at large, would most likely consider impractical or even comical. It’s sheer size made it too large to serve as a proper war ship, it’s bulk making it too slow to catch up to most other combat vessels, and it would have been impractical for most private owners. A conventional ship of the same size would have been prohibitive to impossible to maintain, both materially and economically, requiring the GDP over entire nations, or planets, to keep operational. But the Furia? The way the Fury had designed her had been with automation and self-sufficiency in mind. Materials could be fabricated from Orgone and the maintenance was carried out by an army of robots that could be replaced the same way as any other material on the ship.
But that size presented another challenge for it’s current owner and operator; Where was anything on this giant space boat? It was a question that had been plaguing Liek since he’d raised the vessel from the depths, and one that would likely still plague him for days, or months… maybe even years to come. On the day he raised the ship he located the engineering room and the bridge before Opherla and Terra had dropped by. Once they had left he’d located the captain’s cabin, which had been mostly stripped of it’s old decorations. They had been Carolina’s things after all, it made sense that once they returned to Earth she’d moved her belongings.
But there was still much more ship to explore, though! Which was what Liek had set out to do! He needed to find all the different rooms and offices. He knew there was a training room, a mess hall, bunks and a med bay… somewhere. There was also a sizeable armoury of Fury weapons located somewhere in the central section of the ship. And hanger bays in the after spoke. And that’s just assuming there was one room for each, in a ship this big there could easily be multiple. Heck, he knew there was a dedicated tactical deck for weapons operators that he hadn’t been to yet either.
However, the boy wasn’t sure if he was going to do that exploring right away. At the moment he was looking over the Captain’s Cabin with some boxes just inside the room, and more outside of it. In fact there was a mountain of boxes lining the hall from the airlock. He’d already packed up everything from his grandmother’s shack, packed them into boxes and moved them all to the ship. He’d already taken some stock of the room and decided he was keeping the bed, being a king size it was a sizeable upgrade over the single he’d had at his Grandmother’s shack. It just needed 50 years of dust cleaned out of it first and some new sheets.
Looking around it seemed that that was the easy part. He needed furniture and decorations. Those… where not his forte.

Opherla was eager to explore all of the Gau-la-Furia as she was heading towards it right now to help Liek with decorating, having picked up some furniture and bringing it to Liek via her Saiyan Attack Pod, as she was aiming to utilize the Gau-la-Furia's ship storage area to store her Saiyan Attack Pod so no one would look in a funny way at her home anymore. She was currently on course for the Gau-la-Furia, as she kept looking for the doorway into the hangar area of the ship to dock her Saiyan Attack Pod so she could see if Liek liked the items of furniture she picked out for the base. As she did so, she couldn't help but think back to the kiss she and Liek shared here in this very ship. She wondered how it affected Liek after that moment that they shared, how he felt during the kiss and how he received it. It wasn't like Opherla had stuck around to check. Though she had to assume it affected him in a positive sense, given the fact he yelled at her during Gravity Training the words that still rang in Opherla's head since:
"I LOVE YOU OPHERLA!"
Opherla couldn't help but giggle and smile. "I love you too, Liek..." She said to herself as she was approaching the hangar doors leading into Gau-la-Furia, as she had a warm smile on her face, eager to see Liek again, and more importantly, eager to help him decorate this ship that Opherla wondered if Liek was going to call home from now on. He certainly seemed to have that plan in mind, given the fact Opherla didn't see him much on Earth, except for when she trained with him. Opherla was more than happy to bring her Space Pod here, so that Liek always had access to her Gravitron for his personal use when she wasn't around.
Once the hangar bay doors opened and Opherla was allowed in, she would dock the Saiyan Attack Pod into what Opherla believed was its forever home, as she smiled upon landing it within the hangar bay, and giving the internal systems a small pat, as if she was saying to it 'Welcome to your new home.' Which was silly to do for a machine, but Opherla just couldn't help her emotions in this given moment. Opening her pod, Opherla would soon start dragging out article after article of furniture as she soon heard the computer recognize her, as she smiled upon hearing its recognition speech, before Opherla would call out to the one she held a reciprocated love for.
"Liek! I got some decorations for the Gau-la-Furia! Mind coming to check them out and see if I did okay on picking them out?" Opherla would call out to Liek, hoping the young boy was nearby enough to hear Opherla's call and come to see the furniture she had picked out. To Opherla's eyes, the furniture seemed to compliment the ship well, but it was all up to Liek to decide if Opherla's choices were good or not.

As Opherla had approached the Gau-la-Furia the system had recognised her biometrics and automatically cleared her pod for landing and sent over the flight path she would need to follow to land. This would have lead her to the rear most spoke of the vessel in which the hanger and ship service facilities where located. As she approached a section on one side of the spoke would open up, allowing her access inside the ship. If the ship had been in orbit there would have been a shimmering green barrier, a specialised application of the Energy Cloud, meant to keep the atmosphere inside the ship. However since the ship was inside the atmosphere there was no need for it and so it was kept offline. “Welcome aboard, Crewman Opherla.” The ship greeted with it’s usual monotone before scanning her pod, “Detecting non-critical micro fractures. And. Other wear and tear.” It informed her, “Would you like to have your ship maintained?” The damage outlined by the scanner wasn’t anything serious, just the typical kinds of wear and tear that happened to any kind of vehicle technology, it may as well have been asking if she wanted some scratches buffed out of the underside of a car. Still, the Captain had ordered it to fix everything to ‘pristine’ condition. So it was extrapolating that such instructions should also extend to anything the crew brought on board. Thankfully the system was smart enough to understand nuance and subjective value and thus knew about concepts like art. Any books brought on board where safe from being ‘restored’ into trees. In fact the system was dedicating a subroutine to solving the puzzle on how to fabricate Orgone in a way that would allow it to restore a well loved book into ‘brand new’ condition. The system was almost amused when Opherla started yelling out for Liek’s attention. How silly of organics, they did such inefficient things sometimes. “Attention Crewman Opherla. The Captain is currently in his cabin. The Hanger Bays are approximately two. Kilometers. Or. One. Point two. Five. miles. From the Captain’s Cabin. He cannot hear you.” After a pause the system added, “A message will be relayed on your behalf. For future reference; You need only ask and you can be connected to the Captain through the communications system at any time.”
A message was indeed relayed to Liek, the system wasn’t programmed to be able to lie, after all. In fact, the programming was outside what present humans where capable of writing code for; Fury programming had more in common with DNA then binary that humans where limited to, with code based on four digits that could read different commands in both directions. Just looking at the code had given Liek a headache the one time he’d tried to take a look… an attempt that didn’t last a full minute. Using the ships abundant use of moving sidewalks to his benefit the boy ran along them to speed up his travel from the cabin to the hanger, but even then it still took some time. Naturally his face spilt into a grin a he arrived in the spacious hanger bay, instinctively taking to the air to cover the distance between them, “Opherla! You look great today!” he blurted without thinking, his face immediately turning beat red as his brain caught up to his mouth, before noticing what she had brought with her, which the computer had helpfully left out of it’s message, “Oh wow, you brought a lot of stuff along. Where did you even get it all?”Reference pic for the distance from the Hanger to the Captain's Cabin

Opherla was quite surprised when she heard the offer to have her ship repaired by the system of the Gau-la-Furia. She couldn't help but smile when she was given the option, noting that this computer system was very much a generous computer system indeed! Opherla smiled as she pondered the offer for only a moment, before she smiled.
"You can definitely do maintenance on my ship. Permission granted." Opherla told the system as she had everything already unloaded, so the system could get right to work sending in bots to help maintain the Saiyan Attack Pod and get it to full 100% operation. Though Opherla hadn't seen anything wrong with it, she was thankful the ship was more keen in details than she was.
As the robots got to work, Opherla blushed in embarrassment when the ship told her that Liek had been NOWHERE near her position, and she yelled out for nothing. It was a complete embarrassment to the girl that she had wasted her yelling for basically nothing, as she face palmed herself in embarrassment, her cheeks bright red as she groaned from hearing the realization. However, the computer offered her the alternative next time: Establishing a direct communication line with Liek. Duh. That was the smartest thing to do. Not yell like a buffoon into empty space. Sighing, Opherla was prepared to make the journey of two kilometers, or one point two five miles, to get to where Liek was...
However, she would be surprised to see that Liek actually made the journey to get to HER first! Opherla could only smile with a soft blush on her face as Liek complimented her on her looks today, which Opherla giggled at and smiled brightly upon hearing Liek say that. So the kiss DID leave an impact on the young boy. Perhaps Opherla would take today as an impromptu date with the young man. It wouldn't be the first date she had gone on, since Callion had already treated her to a date, but it would be the first date for her and Liek's relationship, and she was more than eager to try and put that into action today.
"Thank you, Liek." Opherla said to Liek in response to his compliment as she winked at him, before Liek made a comment, asking where she got the furniture. "Where else? There's a lot of furniture stores in every continent. I picked the best one I could find and bought what I could. I hope the furniture I have is enough, but if not I can always go and get more if you want." Opherla said to Liek, as he saw that Opherla had brought in a couch, a few ornate tables, some chairs to sit around the tables that were higher raised than the other tables, some bookshelves, a lamp or two, and some other necessary furniture items to make the Gau-la-Furia feel like home, all colored in ways that complimented the surroundings of the ship. "So, what do you think, Liek? Will this be enough?" Opherla asked, hoping that the furniture she had picked out would truly give this place a sense of being more like home, and would hopefully fill in a lot of space that needed to be filled in within the ship. Opherla was eager to get started on getting the furniture moved how Liek wanted it, she just needed his approval on if the furniture she chose was sufficient to do such a thing with. Opherla really didn't want to make multiple trips. But if she had to, she would.

“Aye, Crewman.”
The ships’ computer wasted no time sending some drones over to the ship, six in total, all of which set about taking a closer inspection of the ship before getting started on the repairs, little micro fabricators extending from their faces like proboscis which it used to direct Orgone from their tiny extractors into the damaged areas. They then used their front manipulators to mold and weld the material to fill the damaged areas. The ones that weren’t fixing damage used a larger set of manipulators to handle cleaning supplies as they gave the pod a thorough cleaning and polishing.
“You bought everything?” Liek gawked, shooting his crush a genuine look of surprise, “I… I didn’t expect you to get anything, let alone spend money!” Taking another look at what she had brought he once again mentally conceded that decorating was not his strong suit. He gave an approving nod, “They all look good.” He agreed but he also considered a certain detail that the girl may have been overlooking, “So… I’ve not fully explored the ship, or taken a real stock of whats needed… but this will make a good start!” He tried to put a positive spin on what he just said so that the next part wouldn’t hit Opherla too hard, “But we’ll probably… definitely need more eventually. This ship was supposed to be able to transport an entire army of hundreds of thousands of soldiers, complete with mess halls, bunks and med bays.”
The refit into a troop super carrier was to allow it to transport a full army fighting force, the only reason Liek could even operate it solo was because it retained the features from the original Arcship design. Which included having a small number of crew to come out of stasis on rotation to keep the ship on course while searching for a new world for the Fury if they failed to find one before their world blew up. Plan A had been to transport people to an an already discovered world, Plan B was to have the Arcship fleet take as many people into stasis as they could and continue the search after the planet blew… obviously both went out the window.
“I mean, we should be able to kit out the Captains cabin and a mess hall, not that I know where one of the later is…” Liek assessed before looking up in general, “Computer, can you clean the Captain’s Cabin of all the dust please?”
“Aye, Captain.”
After a pause the boy looked over at Opherla before mumbling a bit, wrapping one arm around himself and rubbing his other with it. He looked down and bit his lip before speaking up, “So… uh… about… Us. You know how I feel… and you k-kissed me… but… You’ve never actually said… you’ve never actually told me how you feel.” Finally, he had found the courage to ask directly, no more second guessing. No more worrying or wondering. Just a straight answer. Was there something between them? Or was it all one sided on his part?

Opherla would blush yet again when she heard Liek tell her that he hadn't finished exploring just how many rooms there were in the Gau-la-Furia, and that there would likely be MANY more trips to furniture stores when the money was there to completely furbish the ship. Opherla felt like an absolute idiot now, considering the fact the amount of furniture she got was paling in comparison to the size of the ship, as she sighed and rubbed her neck shamefully.
"Probably... should have thought more into that, huh..." Opherla laughed a bit as she nervously chuckled in embarrassment. It was just one foolish move after another today, huh. Opherla wondered just how silly she could make herself today with all that was going wrong for her in this moment. Liek must be trying so hard to keep his composure at how much Opherla was unintentionally aiming to make him laugh. Though, given the fact he was being supportive of her, perhaps that wasn't what was on his mind at the moment.
To Opherla's surprise, what was on Liek's mind was the state of... well... THEM! Opherla was absolutely stunned! Had the kiss not been a clear cut statement that Opherla loved Liek? Did the kiss jar him so much that he didn't know what to think of how Opherla felt towards him? Opherla thought she had made it clear when she gave him that kiss, she put everything into it! But, she supposed that Liek was a bit too young to fully understand what Opherla had truly meant by the kiss, and Opherla understood that. The problem was now, how could Opherla say what she was about to say without mentally jarring Liek further than he already was? Opherla had to be cautious on what she said, thinking long and hard before she took a deep breath. Probably no better way to do this than to tell him straight... and that probably WAS the best option in this scenario.
"Liek..." Opherla stated, as she took a deep breath again to collect herself for what she was about to say. "That kiss should have told you everything about how I feel. Because when I kissed you on the lips, Liek, I felt something I have never felt from anyone else before. I can't describe this in any other way to you than what I'm about to tell you right here and right now..." Opherla declared as she was becoming redder and redder leading up to the confession, as she was hoping that Liek wouodn't pass out or react in a way Opherla would consider negative as she took in a huge breath to collect herself, and exhaled, before she looked at Liek passionately.
"Liek. I love you. I love you more than anything in this entire world."
Opherla became incredibly red once she made the confession, but she continued on regardless. "Ever since the day we met, something about you has just... spoke to me. I don't know what it is about you or what just speaks to me about you, but I can't help but to love you, Liek. That's why I wanted to learn the Furiemshinken from you, and I was completely honest when I said that to you. I do want to learn the Furiemshinken... because the generations I want to teach it to... I can't explain it other than this... I imagined teaching it to... to our future generations, Liek. I just have that deep of a connection to you... a connection I can't shake, and a connection I don't want to let go of. So I'll repeat it... I love you, Liek... with all that I am." Opherla confessed, her blush softening as the embarrassment of it finally left her, and was replaced with compassion and, yes, love.

As Opherla spoke the taller boy kept his eyes firmly focused on her, his attention undivided on her words. Her words confirmed what he had hoped, that the kiss had meant what he’d hoped it had meant, that the girl he’d fallen for held genuine affection for him. Enough affection for her to eventually say that magical four letter word. But that wasn’t all she said, in fact not only did she give him that concrete confirmation didn’t come until after a much larger explanation, and confession, that left his heart racing.
She admitted that her desire to learn Furiemshinken was tied to that love, and her desire to share it with future generations wasn’t just to any students they may pick up, but literally his, and her, future generations. To their children. Children. Together. The idea hit Liek so hard he felt like his heart was about to beat right out of his chest. The idea, the image of the ship’s bridge filled with young faces with wolf ears and tails, some with brown hair, some red, some with blue eyes and others with yellow, didn’t fill him with fear, but rather with longing, a longing to see that future come true. It was a future he hadn’t dared imagine until now, and now he wanted it to happen.
As she spoke his eyes widened slowly as he absorbed what she was saying until she was done. Surprisingly his reaction wasn’t to faint or to freak out, rather like so many other times when Opherla had offered him comfort he felt relief. All his fears and worries about what may come between them where banished and he felt lighter on his feet then he ever had. His first action once she had finished speaking was to wrap his around her and hold her tightly, stroking his hand through her hair.
“I love you, Opherla.” Liek whispered to her, “Now and forever, with all my being.”
He then laughed, “Truth is… well… I grew up in the woods with a hermit. I don’t exactly have a lot of worldly experience…” He trailed off for a moment before continuing, “I didn’t want to make any assumptions… in case I was wrong.” Blushing he continued, “What if that kiss was just some way for you to say you liked me as a friend? Same with teaching you… I didn’t want to make the wrong assumptions and make things all awkward…” he tightened his grip on her a little, knowing he wouldn’t hurt her, “But now…” happy tears ran down his face, “Now I won’t be second guessing myself… and I want to make all you said come true!”

Opherla couldn't help but allow herself to be wrapped up by Liek as she let his arms go around her, letting him stroke her brown hair from her Mastered Fury transformation, as she smiled passionately at Liek and wrapped her arms around him in return, holding him as close to her as she possibly could, and to be honest, she didn't want to ever let go of him. She wanted to hold him for as long as she could. She wanted to protect him, to help him get stronger, to bring him and herself a future where they had a healthy and wonderful family together. It would take work and dedication from both of them, Opherla knew that. But she was more than willing to put that work in. And she could tell Liek was willing to put in that work as well, and that made Opherla all the more willing to make this all come true. She absorbed in this moment as much as she could, listening to Liek's words with a soft smile on her face, listening to how he was so unsure of how to react, not wanting to assume anything about their relationship as Opherla couldn't help but laugh a bit.
"It doesn't hurt to be cautious with your emotions." Opherla smiled at Liek. "After all, it's easy to be hurt if you let your guard down on your emotions. But listen, Liek. I don't want to hurt you. Ever. So I'll make sure that you'll never be hurt. By me, or anyone else. If I fail in doing that... it's on me. I want to make sure nothing bad ever... ever happens to you... if it ever did... I... I..." Opherla choked up just THINKING about that... if something happened to Liek when she wasn't there to help him. If he was hurt by someone, emotionally or physically, the very thought of it plagued Opherla... that was something she hated, she feared. Something happening to Liek when she could have stopped it...
Opherla quickly shook those thoughts aside, however. Right now, she wanted to focus on this moment together with Liek, and making the most of the time she had to get all this furniture moved with him, so that they could be comfortable here within the Gau-la-Furia, as Opherla soon kissed Liek once again, the two of them sharing a kiss as passionate as their first, as Opherla soon held Liek by the shoulders.
"Enough about my worries. Shall we start getting our home away from home renovated?" Opherla asked Liek with a genuine smile, gesturing to all the furniture she did have. Sure, it wasn't enough to fully outfit the ship with new furniture, but it was enough for a good start to get things rolling in the right direction!

“I feel the same way, Opherla.” Liek replied softly, “I never want to hurt you. You’ll never have to guess about how I feel, because I’ll always tell you outright. And I’ll do everything in my power to keep you safe.” His breath hitched slightly as he considered it for a brief moment before adding, “A world without you… I-I don’t want that! I can’t even stand thinking about it!” Her kiss was returned with equal passion without even the slightest hint of hesitation. Sure, his heart was still pounding in his chest from his nerves, this was his first, and, he hoped, his only romantic relationship. It was all very frightening and exhilarating at the same time as the best thing to ever happen to him before!
‘Our home away from home’ she called it.
The words shot through the youth like lightning, bringing an all new smile to his face. Every time she said something about how much she wanted to entwine their lives it acted as a wellspring of joy, flowing forth anew. Stepping back, but keeping his hands on her hips he replied, “Yeah! Enough worries and concerns! Let’s just enjoy some time together!”
He pondered for a moment exactly where to start before deciding to get her input, “Well, I was cleaning up the Captain’s Cabin, so we could start there? Or would you rather wander around the central disk and find some of the other rooms?”
As the words left his lips a sudden pang of guilt hit him, and hit him hard. It suddenly occurred to him how selfish he’d been since he’d met Opherla! He’d told her so much about herself, basically chewing her ear off about Furiemshinken this, his Grandmother that, the Fury the other thing. But had it ever once occurred to him to ask her about herself? No! Stupid, selfish Liek! Well, it was time to fix that!
“So… I should have asked about this a lot sooner but… what about your family? Your past? I’ve said so much about myself but I never thought to ask about you… sorry about that.” His tone was soft, making it clear she was under no pressure and that he was genuinely feeling bad about not asking sooner. Plus, he really did want to know. He wanted to know everything she was willing to tell.

"The Captain's Cabin should be a good place to start. We're both familiar with it and its location, after all." Opherla smiled as Liek offered where they should start placing the furniture first. Putting it somewhere familiar was definitely a good starting point, even if it was a bit bland to go somewhere formerly explored than to explore around the ship some. Opherla didn't want to do any exploration just yet though, she wanted to get this whole relationship with Liek fully solidified first and foremost. And with that came the boy's confession of... almost selfishness as he had blabbed so much about himself, not even Opherla had even the brightest idea that she didn't tell Liek anything about herself, where she came from, what her family was like. To be honest, she only knew her adopted Earth parents. She only knew her mom somewhat from seeing the vision about her mom, before Opherla sighed and shook her head.
"You're alright, Liek. To be honest, the only past I know about is the adoptive family I had here on Earth before I left them. I don't know much about my actual family. About who my mom is, or who my dad is. All I know is I have this strong desire to... to protect and instill life into everywhere I go. But that desire to fight like Saiyans show... that runs just as deep within me." Opherla explained. "That tells me my father was a Saiyan, a warrior at heart. My mother... I cannot explain it, but I feel something so calming about just mentioning her.... I wonder where they are out there... among the cosmos... or if they're even still alive." Opherla remarked, as she looked out the window of the hangar bay, looking at the stars, wondering if her parents were out there, watching her from afar, and maybe were proud of how far she had come in her journey.
"...My adoptive family helped me train in martial arts. Though none of the traditional styles offered really fit me." Opherla admitted. "And so that's what brought on the creation of what I use now, the Lycanshoto style arts. They tap into not only my warrior roots, but my natural abilities and instincts." Opherla stated, flexing her hands as she looked at Liek. "I owe everything to both sets of parents. The ones who raised me here, and the ones who sent me here to keep me safe. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for them." Opherla spoke nostalgically, as she soon laughed and rubbed the back of her head. "Compared to your history, it isn't much, is it? I'm not related to someone who's got such a history of such an event of significance that happened somewhere. It's laughable." Opherla chuckled a bit as she looked at Liek with a smile. "...But I know you won't say that. I know you're just as happy to hear what I can tell you of my past." Opherla stated, before she then thought of something else that she remembered just now.
"...I just thought of something. When should we get started on you teaching me the Furiemshinken?" Opherla would ask, looking at him expectantly, and hoping that the training for it would be very soon, so she could know how to do things like Energy Materialisation and so forth.

“Alright, let’s head that way then.” Liek replied with a smile, holding out his hand for her to hold as he readied to make the journey. As inexperienced as he may be, he knew hand holding was a thing couples did. It wasn’t as significant as kissing or hugging, but the touch of her hand in his would mean every bit as much to the youth. Glancing at the furniture he said, “Computer, can you send some drones to move all this for us?”
“Aye, Captain.”
With that sorted the boy began to lead the way out as he listened to what his girlfriend- a word that made him absolutely giddy- had to say about her past, “So we’re both adopted, huh? You’re family sound great, I mean they took care of you all this time, right? I’m sure they’d still see you as their daughter if you paid them a visit.” Sure, he didn’t know them personally, but if they where anything like his grandmother then Opherla would always be part of their family. Then again he could be wrong and was ready to apologise if that was the case. A part of him wanted to suggest she visit them before… but he didn’t want to turn things towards that particular subject.
“And both our Dad’s where Saiyans?” He chuckled, “Now there’s a coincidence. I know my old man’s name and that he died after crashing on Earth. That and he lived long enough to tell my Grandma about how Saiyan tails work and my name, but that’s it.”
His mind turned to his own birth mother, and the big nothing he knew about her. He knew she was a demon, but that was about it. He recalled what his grandmother had told him after his fight with Callion, about the letters that where currently in the Captain’s Cabin sitting on the desk in the office alcove. Maybe they held answers? “I… don’t know much about my birth mum either… Apparently my Dad did say a lot about her to Grandma before he died. And Grandma left a bunch of really important letters for me to read after she passed… but… I’m too scared to read them. I’m not sure I want to know.” A smiled returned to his face as he said, “But I’m glad thinking of your mother brings you peace! If she left that much of an impression she must be awesome!”
“Most Earth martial arts don’t even delve into ki. I don’t think anyone with Saiyan blood would be satisfied with that.” He paused and laughed, “What am I saying? I don’t know the first thing about Saiyan culture. For all I know the warriors are a minority and their main culture is obsessed with competitive knitting!”
“A comparison would depend on your point of view. Sure, inheriting the Legacy of the Fury may seem grand, but so does having a living family that you can see any time.” Liek commented sadly, and a part of him really did envy Opherla for having a family to go back to if she wanted. He had to either endure alone, or forge a new family. At least right now he was one step closer to forging that new family, even if it wasn’t something he’d planned for.
“We can start some simple exercise now if you like? Or any other time you like.” He said while pondering exactly where to start. His grandmother hadn’t started him on Energy Materialisation until after she’d immersed him in Fury Mythology for a few years so he’d not just know the technique, but understand the history behind it. In Opherla’s case maybe he should stick to the cliff-notes version?

Opherla was more than happy to take Liek's hand in her own, smiling as she did so as she couldn't help but feel her heart flutter just touching the one she loved again. She was more connected to Liek now than she had ever been before, and she was more than willing to spend all the amount of time she could touching Liek. That included hand holding, and that was more than enough to satisfy all the doubts of what could happen to Liek in Opherla's absence. Not long before, he had even choked up to say he didn't know what a world without Opherla could be like. And Opherla reciprocated that sort of feeling. But holding on to Liek, be it his hand or him.... it washed away all of those doubts.
Opherla had to laugh when Liek talked about both their fathers being Saiyans. Opherla wondered if Saiyans were incredibly concerned about legacy, and that's why Liek and her knew so much about their dads, who were Saiyans, as opposed to knowing next to nothing about their mothers. Saiyans sure were prideful, even the ones with good hearts. Even Callion had some pride in him, I mean, sure, he took on the guise of a monk, but Opherla KNEW that Callion had that sense of pride deep down inside him. He wasn't perfect, Opherla knew that. But the best part was, he didn't pretend to be perfect either, at least, Opherla didn't think so. But she hadn't heard from Callion since the grand meeting with all of Earth's defenders. Honestly, taking time for this now seemed silly to Opherla, and seemed like a waste of time... but then again... maybe it wasn't. Maybe, if the world was coming to an end, and maybe if they couldn't defeat Arctic... having this relationship with Liek... maybe it would make living in the afterlife so much better.
Her thoughts were snapped back to reality when Liek cracked the line of for all he knew, Saiyan culture was all about knitting! Opherla had to laugh at that heartily as she shed tears from how hard she cried at that, laughing for a good while before she could finally respond to the very comedic comment.
"Sure! Don't you know all the quilts of the universe are made by Saiyan hands, Liek?" Opherla joked as she laughed more, hoping to get him to laugh, as Opherla then realized Liek might take her seriously, so she followed up by finally saying after composing herself. "I'm joking, Liek, I'm joking." Opherla laughed a little more before composing herself and sighing happily to catch her breath.
"No, I'm pretty sure Saiyan culture is all about who's top dog." Opherla remarked. "Saiyans are prideful, after all. Just look at what we dealt with when we met Salada. Yes, what we did was wrong, but, Salada was as prideful as any Saiyan I've ever seen before. She just wouldn't let go of it, at all. I knew her pride was going to get in the way. It was just a matter of then or later." Opherla admitted to Liek.
Liek then told her that they could start some basic exercises soon, as Opherla smiled and nodded. "The sooner the better, I would say. I want to be sure I have a good handle on the Furiemshinken before Arctic comes. It'll give me options on how to battle him." Opherla remarked to Liek. "Just let me know whenever you want to start, Liek." Opherla said with a warm smile, as she was more than excited to start learning the Furiemshinken as soon as she could! It just came down to what Liek would want to teach her first. Any time he wanted to start was a good time for Opherla, since it would be training for both him and her.

It didn’t escape Liek’s notice that Opherla completely ignored his comments about how she could visit her adoptive family. It seemed strange to the boy, but for whatever reason there was some distance between her and them, despite her own words telling him how grateful she was to them earlier. As much as he wanted to pry further into the topic he opted instead to let the matter slide for now. Pushing on topics others where avoiding was often only good for getting them upset, and since the boy had no interest in causing such problems he filed the topic away for later.
When she started laughing hard about his crack about Saiyan knitting he felt that familiar warmth in his chest, the happiness welling up from within. He had no idea if his idea was just that absurd or if he’d hit the nail on the head, but either way her clear enjoyment brought a smile to his face. At her first comment he was almost ready to believe her, given how little he really knew, until she admitted to joking. At that moment an image of the Saiyan Salada appeared in his mind, her furiously knitting with all the intensity of a life and death struggle, and he broke out laughing as well.
“I don’t think I’d have liked that kind of life.” The boy commented on the behaviour he’d observed from Salada, “Being angry all the time, having a chip on my shoulder over every imagined slight, would exhaust me… I’d need two eight hour sleeps a day just too keep up with the anger quota.”
“I suppose I should start with some backstory; the Furiemshinken started out like any Earth martial art. A discipline to refine the body and movements of the user to maximise strength, speed and endurance while facing various foes. The Furiemshinken of today evolved from two important factors, the first being the Unification War that united the Fury and all martial arts into the Furiemshinken. The second was the discovery of Orgone. Legends say a female monk was meditating in a field when a wordless voice spoke to her through the winds, guiding her meditation and helping her tap into the life energy present in all living things called Orgone.” The boy began the preamble to teaching the girl about the Furiemshinken.
The boy gestured to the ship, “This vessel is both built and powered by Orgone, and it’s control and manipulation, both through technology and martial, arts is the foundation on which the Fury built their empire.” He looked back at Opherla, “The wind that taught that monk to how to tap into Orgone wasn’t just some random flash of inspiration, it was the Fury God of Life, Light and Creation, Basireous. He, alongside his twin, the God of Death, Darkness and Destruction, Volda, always watched over the Fury, ensuring a balance between them. Neither God was specifically good or evil, both being necessary for the cycle of life.”
He held out the hand that wasn’t holding hers and instructed, “Try and feel how my ki flows…” He channelled some ki into his hand, just a small amount, and he did so slowly so she could trace the flow with her senses, and started doing something strange with it, pushing it into itself, and yet not at the same time. A moment later ki was consumed and replaced by a small crystal. What she couldn’t sense was the ki being consumed and used as a catalyst for drawing out and moulding of Orgone into the crystaline form, “The trick is figuring out how to use your ki to tap into the Orgone Layer. Amazingly the Fury didn’t even need Ki to do it, they could just will it to happen. The version I use was invented by Carolina of the J Numbers.”

Opherla hadn't outright ignored Liek's comment about family. Had she not been on the rabbit trail of distracting thoughts, her response would have been that she would love to go visit her adoptive family to see how they were doing. But thanks to the distractive thoughts, followed by Liek's funny comment, that was swept under the rug and now was going to stay unresolved between the two. But the joy that came from them joking about Saiyan lifestyle brought it back to very wonderous between the two as they moved along the corridors of the ship.
Opherla intently listened to the origins of the Furiemshinken. She was surprised to learn it actually started out like every other Earth martial art: Wanting to make better use of your body and physical form in use of combat. Opherla was quite thrilled to hear that, actually, it meant that it wasn't just a simple change of how ki is manipulated, but is instead a sense on how to better use ki, and one's body, to engage in battle. Opherla was curious about Orgone energy, Liek had talked about it before... and she was surprised to learn that it was actually present in all living beings! Truly!? Orgone energy was present even in her? Astounding!
Opherla heard Liek talk about the voice in the wind again, and how he explained it as one of the two governing gods in the history of the Furies. While Opherla wouldn't remember her names, she would keep that in mind, considering the fact the God who used the wind to speak must have visited her and Liek that day when Opherla told Liek that the wind tells stories. Perhaps that's why she believed the wind tell stories, maybe that god truly existed and was watching over her and Liek on their journey.
Opherla's focus shifted once Liek began to demonstrate how to use ki to tap into the Orgone Layer. Opherla carefully watched as Liek formed the ball of ki, before he seemed to make it start imploding on itself, before suddenly it didn't, transforming into a crystal of energy! Opherla was amazed at seeing this, her eyes wide and sparkling as she saw it happen, as she heard Liek explained that this variation was invented by Carolina of the J Numbers.
"That's cool, seriously, very cool." Opherla spoke with a smile. "Is it just that simple of... impacting it on itself yet not at the same time? Or is there a huge catch to it? Because I'd like to try it for myself to see if I can do that." Opherla remarked, eager to see if she could tap into HER Orgone Layer like Liek could. If she could manage that, then she was well on her way to learning the secrets of the Furiemshinken, right? No better time to try than now.
Opherla soon brought out a ball of ki, not even waiting for Liek to answer, as she began to control and manipulate the ki as best as she could to try and do it how Liek had done it, focusing on it as she tried to condense it how Liek had condensed his, as it was getting close to a breaking point of a mini explosion.
If Opherla would fail in making an Orgone crystal, the explosion would happen and fizzle out as she sighed, her ears drooping a bit as she looked at Liek. "I guess it took you a lot of practice to get to where you can do that, huh?" Opherla remarked as she looked at Liek with a soft smile.
If Opherla succeeded in making a crystal, her eyes would sparkle as she gazed upon her new creation, as she would look at Liek with a bright smile as she looked at it. "Wow! I did it! I actually did it!" Opherla laughed triumphantly, showing her Orgone Crystal to Liek to show him that she was somewhat of a natural at this! And she hadn't even known that much about Furiemshinken!

The boy watched intently as Opherla began her first attempt at channelling ki into Energy Materialisation. She had guessed at the technique being simply a matter of imploding the ki, which isn’t far off from an outside view, but that wasn’t all there was to it. There was a catch to the technique, a few in fact. It seemed that Opherla hadn’t picked up on them, not that he could blame her, he’d missed them as well all those years ago when his Grandmother first taught him the technique.
Her mistake was simply trying to just condense the ki. An approach that inevitably lead to a little explosion in her hand. The young man didn’t laugh or look down on the girl, he simply smiled and nodded, “It took me ten years to figure it out. Though in my case, my Grandmother could use Orgone without needing ki and she couldn’t completely remember how the ki version worked. I basically had to reinvent the wheel. And you made the same mistake I did back then.”
“You can’t draw out Orgone just by compressing ki, otherwise every martial art in the universe would be doing it.” The boy explained, “The Fury only could because they knew Orgone was there. And we can because their knowledge combined with ours lets us use Ki to coax Orgone out.” He tossed his crystal over his shoulder, not even paying attention as it exploded, and started the demonstration again up until he started to compress the ki, “Now, I’ll do this slowly. Feel how my ki flows in the ball. Watch very closely!”
Just as he said the ki flowed more slowly, more deliberately. The singularity of the compressed ki wasn’t just sitting still as the ki flowed into it, it pulsed and probed space time itself, then at a certain frequency it pushed a little further then the other time, “Do you feel that? That’s the point where the Orgone is… if I just…” The ki pushed further into that point further and then in an instant another crystal was formed, only this time much, much more slowly. If Opherla was paying as much attention as he hoped she would sense his ki slowing the crystal’s formation and guiding it.
“You have to guide the formation, so that it doesn’t go out of control.” He said as the crystal finished forming.
