Opherla would watch Liek do it again, concentrating hard as she watched Liek form the crystal. It wasn't a fast process, but a slow one. A very slow and concentrated approach, as opposed to Opherla who just tried to condense the ki. Liek compressed the ki, sure, but it was different from regular compression. It was like compression of coal into diamonds. Too much pressure just broke the coal... but just the right amount of pressure at the right time and angle... and voila, a diamond. That's how Opherla needed to approach this.
Opherla took a deep breath, concentrating on a new ball of ki, as she focused hard on it. She would approach it as if she was compressing coal into diamonds. Too much pressure too fast, and it would break. Too little pressure, not fast enough? It would fizzle out and she would miss her chance. She compressed the ki ball just like Liek had done, focusing on the right timing, before feeling the point where it was reacting to the Orgone Layer within Opherla. She seized the moment, controlling the compression, trying to form those diamonds...!
And it worked. Right before Liek and Opherla's eyes formed a crystal. A shimmering crimson Orgone Crystal, made by Opherla's own energy, as she controlled it as long as she could, still inexperienced on keeping the crystal formed, as it soon crumbled and fizzled out, as Opherla looked at Liek.
"I... I did it! I did it! I wish I knew how to maintain it but... I did it! I actually did it!" Opherla exclaimed with glee, as if she was a little kid who just passed a major test in grade school. And to be honest, that's how it felt to Opherla! She was proud of herself! She was so proud of what she did, she could almost burst with all the energy she was exuding, and not in ki either, just in overall happiness that she had taken the first of what she knew would be many steps into learning the Furiemshinken, a journey she now had full confidence she could walk!
"...So... how do you keep the crystal maintained? Is it a matter of ki control or is that something I need to practice a lot too?" Opherla asked, before she then realized something. "...Or is that why you said it took you ten years to fully learn this? Forming the Orgone Crystals... that must be the easy part, isn't it?" Opherla asked, realizing just how much work might be ahead of her to truly learn the Furiemshinken.

Once again the teen observed his girlfriend, this time her she was doing it the right way, for the most part. The flow was more controlled then last time and just has he had demonstrated, instead of just compressing the ki she probed out and sought the Orgone Layer. But she made another error, a mild one but one Liek realised would lead to another failure in the end, but despite it being a failure it still brought a smile of pride to his face. That little failure meant Opherla was on the right track. A little more practice, and trial and error would get her over the line.
The error wasn’t in technique, but application. He could tell that her approach to Orgone was on the small scale, only tapping into the reserves present within herself. It was a natural conclusion to reach, one he understood as he had stumbled over the idea himself, just as Carolina had before them. It was likely any ki user they attempted to teach in the future would also struggle in the same way…
As the crimson crystal crumbled the boy grinned, “You did amazingly, Opherla! This is only your first attempt and you are already at a point that took me years to reach!” He nodded, “Yes, actually forming the crystals is easy, we all have a reserve of Orgone within us… but the key is to look past that. You’ve been using ki for years now, ki only comes from within, so it’s only natural you assume you need to treat Orgone the same way. But think, Opherla. If Orgone worked the same way as ki, how is this ship powered by it? It’s not a living creature. There is no spiritual or life energy being created by it.”
He lifted the crystal he had in his hand and explained, “Orgone is all around us. Within the air itself and even in the depths of space. Drawing on that Orgone, not just the Orgone within, is the key to forming the crystals properly, and at combat viable speeds.” He then tossed his crystal over his shoulder and once again it exploded like the last, “You use your ki to guide the formation of the crystal into the desired form, you don’t control it. Getting the right feel takes practice, yeah. Once you do you can maintain the crystals for as long as you maintain the connections between them and your ki. Once you have the formation down properly you’ll know it once they start exploding when you throw them.”
With a smirk he added, “Those explosions weren’t me being flashy. Orgone crystals do that most of the time. Only a few shaping techniques don’t.” He then looked at the ship, “The martial art shaping techniques anyway, the technology version of shaping can do stuff I have no idea how to do.”

Opherla's eyes widened with realization when she heard this from Liek. No wonder the crystal crumbled! She was trying to power it from within, when it was already around her at all times! Now it made sense. Opherla couldn't just treat this like ki, she had to treat this almost like chi. Chi was an essence that was present in all life, that was something she learned in a movie about how a panda became a dragon warrior. Something like that. So to master Orgone, and, subsequently, Energy Materialisation, Opherla had to approach this as one would approach mastering chi. Opherla didn't want to spend all their time on just training, so she took in all of Liek's tips to heart for her own personal training.
"I figured you weren't being flashy, Liek, you're not that guy." Opherla smiled. "In any case, let's focus on just spending a bit more time together, shall we? I'll help you get the furniture in place, then I want to get out of here so I can keep training myself, and others that might need it." Opherla said with a bright smile. "Thank you for teaching me what you taught me today, Liek. I hope to use it for my future endeavors. Now, let's go get that furniture placed, shall we?" Opherla suggested with the same warm smile she had shown many times before.
Opherla spent the remaining time with Liek getting the furniture they had picked out placed where they wanted it on the ship. This was truly their home away from home, and Opherla wanted it to feel that way as they went to work in fitting the Captain's Cabin, as well as a few other rooms with all the furniture Opherla had picked out. Opherla couldn't help but have a smile the entire time as she did so, looking forward into what future she and Liek had as a couple, perhaps them sitting right here in this Captain's cabin, Opherla reading their kids bed time stories while Liek watched on with a warm smile. Opherla couldn't help but feel that future may not be as far away as she thought it was... and that was a very happy thought to leave with after they were all done.
Once they were done with the furniture placing, making sure everything was to both their likings, Opherla would soon wrap her arms around Liek in a loving and caring manner. "I'd love to stay and explore this ship more with you but I need to go. There's other people out there who might need training, or may need to see me for some comfort in this time of stress. But don't worry, I'll always come back here." Opherla promised with a warm smile. "Oh, and don't hesitate to use the Gravitron in my Attack Pod, okay? It goes up to 125 times Gravity for right now, but eventually I'm planning to buy an upgrade for it that will let it go to the maximum standard of all Gravitrons: One hundred seventy five times gravity. We can really use it to bolster ourselves then! Anyways, love ya Liek~" Opherla said with a loving tone as she kissed his cheek before heading to exit the Gau-la-Furia. "I'll see you again soon~" Opherla would add as she made her way to leave the Gau-la-Furia with a satisfied smile on her face, as she had one thought on her mind the entire time she made her way to the exit....
Her and Liek were gonna be the best and strongest couple on Earth! She would see to that!

The boy smiled a little more as he saw the light of realisation flicker in her eyes. As much as Opherla managed to do silly little things, like forget to account for the size of the Gau-la-Furia, she was still a very intelligent young woman. All it took was the right clues, the right pieces of the puzzle, for her to start connecting the dots and send herself down the right direction. There wasn’t a doubt in the boy’s mind that the love of his life would be forming stable Orgone crystals in next to no time at all now that she had all the information she needed. Now it was just a matter of applying that knowledge and bringing it all together.
Although it reminded him that he still had many techniques he still had yet to full bring under control, but once he’d gotten a handle on them and taught Opherla the ones she wished to know then there wasn’t a doubt in his mind that together they would be a force to be reckoned with. His mind turned to the two couples of the J Numbers; Carolina and Cay-Luum, first human master of Furiemshinken and a Knight Lord of the Fury and Rudee and Yumi, the human and Fury hybrid who just wanted a peaceful world and the gentle girl who was experimented on and forced into conflict. Both couples where apparently awe inspiring in battle, cover each other’s weaknesses and supporting each other in battle.
Liek looked forward to the day his bond with Opherla was as amazing as they had been.
“Yeah, let’s.” The boy agreed to her proposal and enjoyed the rest of the trip up to the captain’s cabin in companionable silence, simply enjoying the proximity to his love, and warmth of her hand.
Once they arrived at the cabin he set to work alongside her. As requested the computer’s drones had exterminated every last molecule of dust and other any other form of unwanted deterioration from the cabin, meaning the two didn’t need to clean anything. With more then a little direction from Opherla’s greater sense of style various pieces of furniture where arranged.
On entering the Cabin was an upper section with the entryway where those entering could relieve themselves of their jackets and boots as well as a door leading to the adjoining bathroom. Slightly further in and too the left was a small alcove set up as an office where several pieces of paper work had been set aside along with a monitor and the letters Liek’s grandmother had written him. On the wall between the entry way and stair leading down to the main level, and across from the office, was hung a deactivated Fury Orgone Sword Rifle as a decoration. Down from there was the main level, which had been set up with a small kitchen (which was currently barren of food) and pantry area. Beyond that was the living space which included a massive monitor on one wall with bookcases to either side of it and a couch in front of it, opposite that was a large table with chairs arranged around it, enough for a family to eat at, and on the wall opposite the monitor was a window that gave a view of the world outside the vessel. At the rear of the cabin and raised above the living area was the sleeping area, dominated by a centrally placed king size bed with nightstands to either side and beside those where wardrobes, in the front of this raised section there was also a vanity for more storage space, and if Opherla was so inclined, any make up the girl may decided to acquire.
It was a start. Just one room out of who knows how many hundred? Thousand? More? Rooms that needed to be seen to. But a start just meant they where that much closer to completion.
But, sadly, time was always a spectre looming over them, and time for Opherla to leave came all too quickly in Liek’s mind. He grinned as she kissed him on the cheek, despite his sadness at their parting and replied, “Alright. Take care of yourself! Love ya!” He waved as she departed and watched sadly as the door to the cabin slid shut with a hiss. Heaving a sigh he wondered what he’d do next…
Slowly his eyes drifted to the pile of letters his grandmother had left, burning a proverbial hole on the office desk. Curiosity and fear gnawed at the boy. What mysteries did they hold? What stories did they have to tell? What truths to reveal. Slowly curiosity won over fear and the boy started slowly walking over to the letters and lifted the first one in the stack...
