Personality: Anastasia is a stoic person who only speaks when she has something to say. Due to her difficult upbringing, Anastasia doesn't trust people almost to a fault. She also doesn't really value her life, often putting others above herself. She has a bit of a martyr complex. However, if you manage to break through her walls, deep inside you'll find some one who is deeply loyal and kind. She also has a bit of a mischievous streak. She can, and will, be a bit of a little shit.
History: Anastasia was born a small village on the edge of a no-name little country that most didn't even know existed. One day her village was attacked and conscripted into a war between two larger forces. Anastasia was raised as a child soldier and has never known anything else. Her life was spent fighting battles for people hundreds of miles away sitting safe behind desks.
The war eventually ended with the destruction of one of the forces and kind of peace followed. Anastasia's team was disbanded. She found herself with out any orders to follow, or soldiers to fight for the first time in her life. Lost with no other skills or life to fall back on Anastasia eventually found herself recruited into underground fighting pits. Once again she found herself fighting for people sitting behind desks, but now she did it in front of a roaring crowd and their frantic bets.
Will the past come back for Anastasia? Would the war she had once been a part of come back to haunt her? Or do the dead stay dead and forgotten? Will she be forever shackled to the whims of others, fighting for their pleasure, or will Anastasia eventually find her freedom and make her own way? Who is to say?

"CAGE MATCH! CAGE MATCH! CAGE MATCH!"
The crowd roared out deafeningly. A multitude of people, all different species and races, combined into a single hivemind through shared bloodlust. They demanded violence. The screamed for spectacles of pain and suffering... and they wouldn't stop until it was given to them.
The heavy bars descended from the ceiling to settle around the sandy pit in the center of the vast betting hall. The metal thunked loudly with the weight of the steel cube. Vertical bars rose 15 feet into the air, the metal bars several inches thick and reinforced with ki-infusion from a special machine. There would be no escaping the cage. The only way out was to defeat your opponent.
Luckily it wasn't a death match.
Anastasia, Ana, tightened the bandages around her hands one last time. The boxer's pattern designed to secure and reinforce the delicate bones of her hand wrapped solidly around her fist. That was going to be the only protection her knuckles would have against her opponents flesh. And she was going to need it as the alien who stood across the pit from her had a chitinous carapace studded with small barbs that would shred her skin like a cheese grater. They opted to be nearly nude wearing little more than spandex shorts and a studded belt. Ana herself was wearing a dark sleeveless shirt with a high collar. Her trade mark scarf left behind in her dressing room. She didn't want to give her enemies something to grab onto and choke her with.
"I'm going to shred you to pieces, Miss Fortress!" Jaks jeered at her while punching his fists together with loud cracks.
Ana mentally grimaced at her stage name, outward expression carefully neutral. Miss Fortress was such a lame name, but it was the one given to her by her 'manager'. She used to be a part of a tag team, Ana had been the defender that had kept her team mates protected, like a fortress, and so the moniker stuck. As cheesy as it was Ana couldn't be bothered enough to argue for a different one.
"You can try," Ana said cooly.
The bell struck.
Jaks launched himself at Ana instantly, trying to catch her off guard. A foolish tactic. Ana was always ready the moment she set foot in the pit. She dropped into a deep stand that lowered her center of gravity and gave her a sure footed base. She met Jaks with a thunderous crush, catching his attack unflinchingly. He hissed in her face intimidatingly, spittle flying into her face.
Unfazed Ana just met him with a headbutt, her skin reinforced with ki to keep it from shredding on her opponents sharp hide. Her forehead bashed into his teeth, shattering them into pieces and breaking Jak's jaw. He howled and stumbled back from Ana, mouth hanging limply open, tongue lolling stupidly, a slurry of blood and droll dripping to the sand.
Ana pressed her attack while Jaks was stunned. She slammed into his torso with a quick kata of punches, elbows, knees, and kicks. Jaks's armored skin cracked like egg shells under the punishment. As Jaks fell back, she pushed forward until he was trapped against the bars of the cage.
The audience roard it's approval at the merciless punishment whether they had bid on Ana or not. Later shen the adrenaline died down there would be curses from the losers, but at the moment everything was forgotten in the face of such spectacle.
Ana could sense Jaks's ki flickering weakly. It was time to end this. Ana finished up her flurry of blows by grabbing jumping up and grabbing the much taller Jaks by the head and slamming his face into the sand.
He didn't move.
Ana surreptitiously slid her fingers to a gap in Jaks's armor on his neck and felt for a pulse. He lived. He might never be able to eat with out a straw again. But he would live. Ana stood up and walked away from Jaks. She moved to the edge of the pit, and ducked under the rising cage. Ana didn't wait for the announcer's proclamation of her victory. She didn't care.
Ana went back to her dressing room to grab her scarf and find out when her next match would be.
