The former queen of the Saiyan stood panting her breath heavy as she stood over her opponent. The fighter before was on his back beaten and could no longer stand. But it had been a fun match for him at the Former queen. Both fighters had joined the tournament in otherworld for the grand prize to return to earth. But both had been saiyans and the fact they could fight the universe strongest fighters who had died in the last 10 years was exciting to both. Although in Zaks honest thought none measured up to them at all.
“” it was a fun match! Keep training! When I return I Expect a rematch!”"”
The Saiyan laughed and accepted her hand as she helped him up.”” Dont make it sound like your returning straight here will you?
The cheers of the crowd went unheard by both of them as they focused on each other in a friendly rivalry. The rivalry between a queen and a fighter she had just encountered played out for of otherworld to see. It had been an even match until the queen had transformed. But before then the two had been completely Even! Blows traded in Ernest as each fighter tried to pull ahead of each other. But finally the other fighter took the lead as the queen knew she had reserves and didn't fight at 100%.
“” Well I would love to stay a moment and train with you just a little… but I am needed back on earth. A lot…”” She said apologetically . It was true though… without callion,herself, or Ayu. There was no one left.. Athren bailed and the human never showed up. Pran was it? .. together they couldn't even beat liari probably… no she needed to go back and find a way to free opherlia and liek. And start A resistance. Although… she couldn't do it the same as before. As the queen of the Saiyans..as she wasn't her anymore…
“” don't sweat it.. I am sure you can do it. Bring our world back. Show then just how stubborn we Saiyans can be.”” The Saiyan warrior said to her trying to pump her up. Zaks wish she had known him before now. But he had died 5 years ago and the Two never got a chance to meet. But the former Queen smiled at him and nodded her head in agreement. Turning away she looked at the judges of the match and raised both her hands in the air declaring herself the Victor.
—-two weeks later—-
Zaks stood on the earth again her heart hammering in her chest. She was alive to fight for her people once again. She was alive to fight for earth once more.. if she succeeded she could fight for her children once again. Thar thought pushed her forward as she started to walk through west city to enact her plan. She didn't stand a chest vs Artic by herself… but that didn't mean she couldn't chip away at his allies. First to Start at the bottom.
Opherla was her first target and one that made her chest clench tight. The girl was good and it angered her to see her controlled by liari. so she would free her or imprison her first then liek. She probably Would have chosen liek first but she didn't exactly know we're he was… and she didn't want opherlias hands to get any more stained from time Under liari's control.
Looking down at her hand she smiled. Her plan she had come up with was brilliant. Currently she was wearing a suit that covered her from head to toe In black plates and synthetic fibers. To top it off the skull helmet hid her shortened hair and her recently grown horn. The damn thing and sprouted giving her the impression of a demon. The Kais Had said Somthing to the effect of her blood was reacting to there's and evolving. They had said it was a good thing though. Regardless it didn't matter.
Taking a deep breath Zaks starred to alter her ki. It made her ki seem like some one else and she had learned it to hide from artic and liari. If she appeared on the earth again and ethier of them caught wind of her she doubted it be long before they were on top of her. She wasn't ready yet.
her Appearance scared the local population as she made her way through town. Her large imposing frame looking like some monster as she closed in on opherlia ki signature. She kept her self suppressed and altered until she was within eyesight of the woman. She felt .. clean? Was liari not controlling her anymore? She would have to test her. Her heart started to hammer in hope… and excitement.
Raising her hand her power level sky rocketed in its altered form before a blue blast was sent straight at her. Zaks had stayed in her base form under her armor and disguise but the. blast was still strong enough to seriously harm the wolf girl if she didn't dodge it. But then she would have to worry about it Hurting the people around her.
Although zaks knew it wouldn't harm anyone the warrior she targeted wouldn't have the time to judge that completely.
“” target aquired…Opherla of the artic empire army. Threat level… red.””
Zaks monotone voice matched an old opponent she had helped train. Now he was no were to be seen.regardless the bio android had spoken like this so it seemed correct. She could waste no time and didn't wait to see the effect of her attack before she summoned up her altered blade. Her ki hiding and distorting the energy she used to summon it. Sooner was it shaped like the blade her tribe used for generations. Now it took the shape of a long thin straight blade simular to what the earthlings called a Katana. At least she hoped it looked like one. Her entire disguise was to make her appear like an earth warrior or android. With the futuristic gear. Even though hers literally did nothing but hide her appearance.

Opherla was just minding her own business as she was gathering things up at home, making sure things were all prepped for her to move her belongings from her old place in West City and get it all moved to Liek's Gau-la-Furia. Opherla's fiancée had even offered to help her get things moved to his grand ship, but Opherla had insisted she could handle it herself. The young man, however, simply refused to take that answer and instead compromised, saying he would get her personal belongings room ready on the Gau-la-Furia, and THEN he'd be at her place to help pack. Opherla sighed, she supposed thst would do. But, she had just finished packing and Liek hadn't shown up just yet. Good. That meant she could figure out how to get things transferred on her own. Problem solved.
That was, until she sensed a familiar presence coming to her place, as Opherla's eyes widened upon feeling the familiar presence approaching, before feeling the ki becoming altered. ...There was no mistake who that ki belonged to before it got masked, as Opherla was immediately drawn to it, turning around before seeing the imposing figure of the woman approaching, as despite her best attempts to hide from others, her figure and her eyes seen through the helmet... Opherla knew who it was immediately as her chest tightened, and her heart leapt in a mix of joy... and a bit of fear. There was no doubt to Opherla who that was, and it was clear of one thing... Opherla didn't know if she knew that Opherla fought back and earned her freedom. Still, Opherla would start trying immediately to reconnect with Zaks before she would go to attack her.
"Zaks... it's good to-" Opherla tried to speak, however, that was thrown completely out the window immediately when Zaks fired off the blast of ki straight for Opherla, as her eyes widened as she immediately threw her hand forward, as suddenly, a golden light erupted, sending the nearby civilians off their feet and running away from them, as Opherla looked at Zaks with a hardened gaze... and not just any hardened gaze at that.
The hardened gaze of an angry Super Saiyan. Opherla's Super Saiyan form was even stronger than all other base line Super Saiyan transformations. It was probably due to the fact of the ferocity shown by Beastfolk and the instinctual power they added to the table. Irregardless of whatever the case, Zaks saw those emerald Super Saiyan eyes staring into her soul, as if Opherla was judging her for just briskly attacking her instead of just freaking CONFIRMING whether or not Opherla was still under control of Liari! It was a dumb play and Opherla's respect for Zaks dropped a fair bit from this rash and uncalled for play, all while she still held Zaks' ki ball as if Opherla was placing a palm on the head of a child. It was effortless, as Opherla suddenly threw it upwards, before sending an Orgone Crystal up with it to make it explode in beautiful fireworks, which the crowd appreciated with some "oohs" and "ahs" from how it looked, as Opherla's hardened gaze never left Zaks, as she folded her arms soon after she made sure Zaks' attack didn't harm any civilians.
"I had so much I wanted to say to you. So much to apologize to you for. For killing Gemini and Shiso with Liek, for being subdued by Liari in the first place. For causing things to go awry against Arctic, that I couldn't do more. I had so much to say to you, so much to apologize to you about, because I believed you deserved as such." Opherla spoke in a hardened tone, but Zaks could tell the malice wasn't an evil malice like Opherla was under Liari's control, it was just malice out of how stupid it was for Zaks to just out and throw an attack to try and see if Opherla was truly herself instead of just asking her and confronting her that way. Opherla's gazr hardened even further as her Super Saiyan eyes peered into Zaks to try and make her crack. Probably not the smartest move since Opherla guessed Zaks was stronger than she was, but she had to do something to try and defend these people from another wild attack by the rightful Saiyan Queen.
"But now, I've lost a bit of respect for you just outright threatening the civilians, especially involving me since I am the only person other than Liek who knows the location of your refugees, Zaks. So I suggest you better start talking to me or else I'm going to have to defend myself. And frankly, I don't want to trade blows with someone like you. You mean too much to me to get into some damned useless squabble with. So what the hell, Zaks!? With all due respect, WHAT THE HELL!?" Opherla yelled in anger, the rising anger from what Zaks did finally peaking as the Lycan Saiyan's golden aura flared even stronger with that powerful declaration, as she seemed to have a deep growl to go along with it to drive the point home. Opherla was now PISSED, and the target of her aggravation was Zaks, for now, unless Zaks had a really damn good explanation besides "Oh I thought you were still under Majin Mind Control." If that was the ONLY excuse Zaks had...
Well Opherla couldn't exactly blame her. Except for the fact of wondering how Zaks thought she might be mind controlled when she was PACKING HER THINGS instead of just rampaging the town! Free will as Majin Mind Control might have, it still affected the mind to do worse things than just pack belongings to go somewhere. So even if that WAS Zaks' response, it was going to earn her a good left hook to the jaw to knock that helmet right off her head so they could talk face to face!
...And Opherla really wanted to talk to Zaks face to face again. Zaks felt like a mother or big sister figure that Opherla never had. So if Opherla could convince her to join her and Liek as part of their new Empire, then that would be a wonderful thing to see happen. Opherla would even make sure Zaks' betrothed would be a part of the Empire too, since she knew Zaks loved Tanya dearly. Opherla wanted to do so much to make things right with Zaks after what Earth had done to her. But this kind of thing wasn't going to slide with her. Opherla basically felt like the one fat guy in some weird cartoon who asked one time "Who the heck starts a conversation like that, I just sat down!"

Opherla’s officially moving into the Gau-la-Furia had been a long time coming, it was something that both Liek and the wolfgirl had been thinking about ever since their relationship originally started and even now the boy felt a lump in his throat thinking of sharing the same home as the woman he loved. That said, they where both fairly nervous about the whole thing, and moving into the same room full time was a daunting prospect.
Especially for Liek.
Marriage had been his idea, that was true, but he was still a child, all things considered. The thought of being that close, every night, scared him. He didn’t even remember bothering his grandmother when he had nightmares as a child, so as far as he knew he’d never slept in the same bed as someone else, ever.
And now he was one step away from doing so…
As the boy had been preparing on of the Officer’s rooms for Opherla he’d had to stop of several occasions just to calm his nerves. The room wasn’t as large as the Captain’s cabin, but it was significantly more spacious then the barracks the Saiyan refugees where living in. Not that they where complaining. Rough sleeping and communal living wasn’t uncommon for the low class Saiyans, apparently.
The boy didn’t really have a lot of work to do; mostly clearing out what little the J-Numbers had left behind absentmindedly. Almost everything had been removed by his predecessors, thankfully. The only noteworthy exceptions being the hundred year old tube of used toothpaste and the underwear he’d found behind the bedside cabinet. The underwear brought an unfortunate detail his grandmother had offhandedly told him once, that she and the other girls wore colour coded underwear to make laundry day easier.
The underwear was green.
His grandmother’s colour.
The revelation almost had the boy curled up and crying in a corner from the trauma.
As the boy was picking himself up the ship’s computer drew his attention, “Captain, an anomalous signature appeared several seconds ago. Initial scans matched the wavelength of subject: Queen Zaks. But subsequent scans have shown a change in the signature.” That caused Liek’s head to snap up at attention. Zaks was back? He clutched his chest and grimaced, he definitely owed her an apology. As he was thinking that the computer continued, “Bogey Not-Zaks has since engaged Co-Captain Opherla in combat.”
“What?!” Liek shouted, “Cauri!” he didn’t need to tell the computer why he said that name as it patched him through to the bridge, “Engage Fold! Get us over West City, now!”
His apprentice needed no explanation, she was why the computer had even interrupted Liek in the first place, “Aye! Spooling complete! Folding!” And in that instant the entire mass of the Gau-la-Furia, still masked by the Orgone Cloaking system, shifted location in Earth’s atmosphere to be directly above the city, but entirely invisible and all souls onboard undetectable. An instant later Liek wasn’t inside the Arcship anymore and all those inside vanished from his senses.
Instead the situation at hand become visible as he took in the sight of his fiance’s Super Saiyan might confronting a strange, absurdly tall, woman in fancy high-tech looking armour. Liek blinked and wondered if Zaks actually thought she was fooling anyone with that get up. Oh, sure, the ki masking was a neat trick that the boy had to admit he wanted to learn, but there was exactly one person who Liek had ever met who had that body size, proportions and figure all wrapped up in one package.
Though, if there was one things Liek knew, despite his limited knowledge about women or socialisation in general…
“Look, I’m not dumb enough to jump into a catfight between women but… can we talk this out? Opherla? Zaks?” he asked, while holding his hands up defensively.

Zaks tilted her head at the situation before her. It was was pretty obvious that opherla wasn't thinking it all the way through. But then again she hadn't had the time to either as that had been Zaks plan from the start. she should fix that now rather then later.
Raising a single hand zaks pointed her finger at opherla and her energy once more forming on her finger tip. The blast wasn't any stronger then the last one and easily preventable by opherla yet Zaks fired it all the same. But somthing happened when it was about halfway between the two fighters. Zaks suddenly twisted her wrist up and the blast changed course heading straight into the sky to explode harmlessly. The general humans in the area shouting out in fear or amazement. “” if you really thought it was me… did you think I really would endanger them so easily? “”
Zaks Didn't blame her exactly after all everything that happened left them all a little raw if she had to be honest. “” but I needed to see how you would react"” after all Zaks didn't know a whole lot about the mind control she had been under. Beneath her helmet she sighed before she started to pull off her armor.
“” I assumed if I had worn enough armor and helm I could get away without being noticed. After all I don't think artic will tolerate me all that much being alive. “”
As Zaks took her helmet off there was some changes since the last time she had Met the two Hybrids. One Zaks mane of hair had been cut to just above her shoulders and combed back removing her wild look she normally had. The next thing one would see is in the middle of her forehead was a black horn that almost looked like a blade. Followed by her eyes sclera of her eyes being black instead of white. If it wasn't for the cocky grin on her face that radiated laughter she looked every part that of a demon.
“” …I have to admit I am a little hurt puppers. “” Zaks teased. “” you doubt me already? I promise that blast missed my heart…”"” after her little quip Zaks build her vest slightly down revealing her neck and the scar the originated further down.

Opherla's gaze softened immediately after Zaks began speaking to her, and Opherla immediately felt like it was like talking to her mother or big sister, scolding her slightly for the way she reacted while also pointing a few jokes at her despite the last time they saw one another. It formed tears in Opherla's eyes as she soon dropped her Super Saiyan form, as she looked at Zaks while tears streamed down her face, as Opherla tried to keep her composure. The last thing she wanted to do was to be a blubbery mess in front of Zaks, though it was really hard not to be given the circumstances that led up to this moment.
"Zaks... I'm sorry..." Opherla spoke softly as the tears began rolling once again just after speaking those words, as she kept trying to keep herself from just downright bawling in front of the former Saiyan Queen. "I'm so sorry... Gemini.... Shiso... ...That whole incident back with Arctic... I..." Opherla was losing it. The more she even just tried speaking to Zaks, her motherly/big sister approach, even going as far as calling Opherla 'puppers' was making Opherla lose control of her emotions as she tried desperately to reel them in, but was failing miserably at doing so, as Opherla hung her head, unable to even look at Zaks for what happened during the confrontation with Arctic. "I'm sorry for everything.... for letting Liari control me, for killing your friends... ...I... I..." Opherla couldn't even form the proper sentences as she was an emotional mess before Zaks.
It was bad enough that Opherla didn't even notice Liek's arrival right away, not until he had landed and started to say something. Upon noticing him, Opherla would look at him with her tear filled eyes, as she then looked at Zaks, still not knowing what to do or what to say in the moment... all Opherla could do was cry. It seemed she was really good at crying instead of just reuniting with people. Opherla always seemed to be a crier. She always seemed to be a tear filled coward or a tear filled talker in moments where she really needed to dig in and properly focus. That was going to have to change... but not today. Opherla would soon approach Zaks, and if Zaks allowed it, she'd give her a big hug, full of many emotions. Apology, relief, sorrow, sadness, those emotions and more could be felt in the tear filled hug Opherla gave to the former Queen of the Saiyans as she clung onto Zaks tightly, truly thankful Zaks was back, but still feeling like the sins of what she did to Gemini and Shiso perhaps may come back to bite her in the future, even if things were biting her now for taking their lives.

It seemed that things where already defusing even without his intervention, something the young Emperor was grateful for. While he didn’t have the same level of emotional attachment to Zaks that Opherla had, he did hold a great deal of respect for her, so much so that he hated the idea of fighting her while in his free state of mind. The fact they where able to avoid such a tragic battle was a blessing if there ever was one.
The boy didn’t hesitate for even a moment before rushing to his fiance’s side and placing a hand on her shoulder to try and offer her some comfort, it was a small act, but given he wasn’t used to giving or receiving physical contact outside of sparring, it was a start. When Opherla approached the former Queen of the Saiyans to give her a hug he didn’t do anything to stop her. He knew Opherla needed it, the positive confirmation that everything was alright between the two women.
Maybe not forgiven, but that they could move forward as friends.
Liek moved closer, but kept his distance as he pondered his next words carefully. After a moment, giving the two women time to talk among themselves if needed, he looked Zaks in the eye as he said, “I apologise as well. I wanted to keep Opherla safe above all else and… I know that it’s not an excuse… my actions caused you so much pain and lose…” He bowed at the waist and hung his head, “I’m sorry Zaks, I failed you when you needed me most.”
Standing back up straight he added, “You aren’t wrong about Arctic. He was out for your blood in particular, and no doubt the blood of the Refugees as well.” Glancing up towards where the Gau-la-Furia was hidden in the sky he added, “They’re still safe, by the way. Hidden and beyond that bastard’s grasp. And my offer of sanctuary extends to you now, obviously.” After all, his promise had been to take in any and all willing Saiyan survivors, and Zaks fit that description.
Plus, her presence would surely have a stabilising effect on the refugees. While his Super Saiyan status certainly earn the awe and obedience of most of the refugees the fact he didn’t identify as a Saiyan, and was still an outsider in terms of understanding Saiyan culture, built a divide between him and the refugees. Zaks, being the former Queen, could probably settle any issues before they arise just by being there.

Zaks could help but smile at the reaction from the kids. This was much better then she had hoped for her return to earth. She had feared she was gonna have to kill them outright with how much stronger they had grown. It would not be long now before they would possibly surpass her. But to find them both perfectly OK mentally. Well considering they were mind controlled earlier this was much better.
Zaks couldn't help but grin wider at the pup as she tried to apologize to her. “” don't be sorry.. I have a message from them actually. “” The grin she wore never left her face as she ruffled her hair. “” they want a rematch later and you guys owe them dinner although i am sure they dont realize how much you jave grown yet. “” it was light hearted as the three of them had plenty of time to talk it over when they had been waiting at the check in station. They had assumed it was some sort of control from liari and later confirmed by the kai's.
Zaks couldn't help but open her arms as opherla came in for a hug and give her a gentle hug in reassurance.”” Hey it's OK we will make it all right. “” it was moments like this that the older woman could not help but think of opherlia as a kid still. Logically she knew she was an adult and one that had already bad life experiences . But to Zaks she was a little kid who had just Endured what was her duty. That loss of innocence angered her even if it never reached her actions. After all the anger was at her own weakness.
As she comforted Opherlia she listened to Liek carefully. It was good her people were still OK and what she feared did not come to pass. “” Thank you for taken care of them for me.”” A sudden mischievous smile and tilted eyes gave warning that the young man had now become the target of Zaks attention. “” I thank you for the the offer but… well let's just say I was dying to leave your last party. “"” a quick wink before she sobered Up.
zaks didn't like how easy they had saw through the disguise but she knew it was her own fault since she hadn't started to mask her Ki from the start. “” so… kids what have you been up to? Better yet how did you get free?”
