Near the base of the central tower of the Gau-la-Furia was a massive chamber, a nearly 700 meter long circular room that stood nearly 400 meters tall. It was situated towards the front of the ship, just in front of the massive forward spoke containing the Spinal Orgone Cannon. During the refit of the Arcship into a troop transport this room was set up to allow the advance troops to practice and train during transit and when the J Numbers hijacked the ship they adopted the chamber for much the same purpose; training and exercise.
The young boy called Liek had run to this chamber as fast as his legs would carry him after reading some of his grandmother’s letters. Specifically the ones pertaining to his origin and the identity of his birth mother.
He already knew he was half demon. As much as he repressed that knowledge he’d known since he was little, his Grandmother had never kept it a secret. It had become more obvious to him ever since his first outburst when he’d lost control, injured his grandmother and caused so much destruction and killed an animal that had basically been his best friend at the time. The trauma from that had caused him to seek to suppress and lock away that side of himself, only for Callion to rip that scar wide open all over again.
As much as he’d hated his demon side he had held out some hope about his mother’s identity. Maybe she was a good demon? One who defied the stereotypes and held a pure heart who acted with a pure heart in the defence of others.
The letters shattered that hope. He wasn’t just some child of a normal demon either, he was the child of a full blown Demon Lord vying for the throne of the Demon Realm. To add insult to injury his parents hadn’t even loved or cared about each other in slightest! His mother had created him against his father’s will for the sole purpose of using him as a weapon for her own goals. On top of that his father only took him away from her out of spite. He didn’t care about his own son in the slightest, even his name was given for the sole purpose of insulting his mother.
His father had died when he was a child. He’d come to terms with that long ago.
His grandmother had adopted him and raised him like he was her own grandchild, something he would always be grateful for. But she had passed now too.
The boy had held out hope that his demon mother was somehow good, that she yet lived and that he could one day find her and share a heartfelt reunion. And now, only one of those seemed true, and not the two that he had hoped for the most.
It was all a massive emotional kick in the teeth and the boy had realised immediately he could snap at any moment. In this moment of clarity he’d run from the Captain’s Cabin and rushed to this training room as quickly as he could. There, in the middle of the room, with the letters outlining exactly what had him so upset scattered in the entryway the boy screamed and pounded his fist against the reinforced floor.

Opherla couldn't help but return to the Gau-la-Furia with a heart full of joy and amazement. She was excited to show Liek just what she could do now with her Energy Materialisation, having trained that before she came to the Gau-la-Furia to show her boyfriend how far she had come. The amount of excitement she felt as she flew towards the ship as fast as she could was indescribable, as she had a wide grin on her face the entire time she was getting closer to Liek's ship. She kept thinking back to before she was coming here, about when she trained herself to learn how to properly use Energy Materialisation.
A few hours earlier....
"Okay.... here we go." Opherla would say as she was back home in West City, in her usual training grounds, taking deep breaths in and out as she was prepared to start learning how to do Energy Materialisation like Liek did. She needed to treat this as chi, not ki, even though it would, in a sense, be powered by ki. Taking a few more breaths, Opherla soon looked up at the waterfall in her location, as she decided the best way to do this... was to flow like water. "CHYA!" She roared, sending a ki blast streaking across the water, as a water droplet would proceed to fall towards her, Opherla closing her eyes, catching it with the palm of her hand, and moving it to where it didn't break. The training had begun.
Opherla moved in tai chi esque movements with the droplet of water, keeping it from breaking its current perfect ball shape as she moved it along her body. This was an exercise she had done multiple times before, turning water into a ball of ki. Suddenly slinging the water off of herself and through the air, the water droplet bexame encased in a ball of ki. Step one was done, the easy part, what she already knew. Step two would be increasingly harder, considering the fact that as Liek said, keeping the Orgone Crystal formed was easier said than done. But Opherla kept to the movements, flowing in them as she opened one eye upon feeling the Orgone Layer being close. She just needed to perfect this point, this motion, to bring out the crystal. Step three? She didn't know what that was. Yet. But she would soon, if she could pull this off!
Concentrating and focusing, Opherla would send the ball of ki upwards... and sure enough, it formed a beautiful, shimmering, crimson Orgone Crystal. Step two, done.... Step three? ...Just see how long Opherla could hold it now! Opherla would start to move it just as she had done in the previous two stages, and started to count the minutes of how long she could hold this thing using her ki where it was needed and treating it like a ball of chi she had in her hands.
Five minutes passed... ten minutes... twenty minutes... thirty now... an hour... The crystal was still formed, and still very healthy looking at that! Opherla was in awe. Had she finally done it? Had she finally performed Energy Materialisation!? As she soon floated the Orgone Crystal back to the palm of her hand, she soon got her answer, as it shimmered, floating in front of her in brilliance and splendor, as Opherla soon gained a massive smile, cupping the Orgone Crystal in both of her palms.
"I did it... I did it...! I DID IT! YEAAH!!!" Opherla cheered as she jumped around a little bit in joy. She had done it! She had taken the first step on her Furiemshinken jourmey! She had learned Energy Materialisation! To celebrate, Opherla decided to try something as she tossed the crystal up into the air, and as she took the finishing pose from doing so, the Orgone Crystal exploded, split up into four ki orbs that traveled in cardinal directions from each other for a short distance, before they exploded, and Opherla was showered with a cool, calming water, as she felt it wash over her. The reward for a technique well learned, and Opherla had the widest grin ever on her face.
"I can't wait to show Liek, he's going to be so proud of me! Hahahah!" Opherla laughed to herself like a little girl before she shot off to find the Gau-la-Furia, and to find Liek there, hopefully.
Back to the present day...
"Welcome, crewman Opherla."
The all too familiar words of the ship graced Opherla's ears as she entered into the Gau-la-Furia, taking in her home once again as she nostalgically looked at her Saiyan Attack Pod. That Gravitron update would be coming soon. Opherla had made the arrangements for it, it just had to get delivered to where they were now. Opherla hoped that "giant space ship in the sky" was good enough to use as an address for the delivery people. Regardless of that, Opherla needed to go and find Liek.
"Computer, where is Captain Liek right now?" Opherla would ask.
"He is currently in the training room. Follow the lights to reach the training room."
"Thank you!" Opherla told the computer as she began to follow the guiding lights system to reach her boyfriend, excited beyond belief to show him just what she had learned, and that she had finally nailed Energy Materialisation! Opherla soon ran to the training room, but as she was about to call for Liek, she noticed something on the ground and slowed down, her running turning into walking as she slowly approached the scattered papers and envelopes on the floor. Were they... letters? Letters about what? And were they for Liek? And that's when she suddenly heard Liek scream and pound the floor, Opherla's eyes widening as she peered around the corner, seeing her boyfriend on his knees in absolute agony as her eyes widened, and immediately the tears formed. Just what was in those letters!? Was there something in them that made Liek incredibly upset!? Opherla would have to ask later... right now, her boyfriend needed comfort.
He needed HER.
"Liek, I'm here! I'm here..." Opherla exclaimed as she ran to him and knelt beside him, quickly wrapping her arms around him as tears were shedding from her eyes, seeing him in so much agony which made her heart hurt, as she held him tightly and held him close, kissing him on the cheek to let him know she was there. "What's wrong? What happened... please, Liek, tell me. I'm here for you. I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner. Please tell me what's wrong. I want to help you!" Opherla exclaimed as she clutched on to Liek, tears of helplessness rolling down her face as she was so unsure of what to do to cheer Liek up.

A voice like sweat music cut through the chaos and raw emotion that was the inside of Liek’s mind, recognised those wondrous tones anywhere, she didn’t need to say who it was because she was the most precious thing in the world to him, he would recognise her voice without ever needing to see her. She then wrapped her arms around him in an effort to comfort him and to ask what was wrong. What was wrong?
What was wrong?
He was wrong! His existence itself was wrong! His being on Earth was wrong! He was the product of evil ambitions and spite! Born for the soul purpose of inflicting pain and suffering on others!
How could he explain any of it? He didn’t know. He clung to his girlfriend’s arms even as a part of him desperately wanted to tell her to run away and never look back. To gather her strength, become stronger then ever… and then end his life before he became the thing his birth mother created him to be.
“...a monster…” He whimpered, “I’m a monster…”
He sobbed for a few moments more, “The letters… Grandma…” He gestured vaguely back at the entrance, “Everything…” He sobbed again, “My parents… hated each other… my mother… is a Demon Lord! She made me to be her weapon! To take over the Demon Realm!” He probably wasn’t making a whole lot of sense, but his mind was too frazzled to string coherent thoughts together, “My dad… didn’t even care… he only kidnapped me to spite her! Everything… even my name… just for spite!”
The very foundation assumptions of his life had been laid to ruin, the assumptions that his parents cared about him, about each other, even a little bit. Shattered and scattered to the wind. How could he be certain about everything else? Had he really loved his Grandmother, or was she just a means to an end to grow his power? Did he love Opherla, or did the demon within only see her as an opportunity as well?
That was what upset him the most. Not his parents, it was the fact it all made him doubt himself and his relations with other people. What if everything he was feeling was just a big fake? Some approximation he’d subconsciously set up to lure in those who could be useful to him in a quest for power? The idea of committing that level of betrayal disgusted him and he hated that the possibility existed.
Oh no! Not now! He could feel himself slipping! Not when Opherla is here! Please!
His grip tightened significantly as he grit his teeth and tremble. His green aura began to shine despite his attempts to resist and his hair began to float from the surging power within. Through grit teeth and his aura shifting to a more yellow tint he managed to growl, “Please… RUN!!” Before howling as he completely lost control and slammed both fists into the deck as his aura completely turned golden, his air swaying in the air, carrying a reddened tint as red streaks ran from the corners of his eyes down to his chin. Slowly his eyes turned in their sockets towards Opherla, revealing that they had turned crimson.
The Demon that had lain within snarled.
Sensing danger to the ship the system slammed the door to the training area shut.

Opherla's eyes widened as she had to forcefully process everything in such a short amount of time in order to properly be ready for... for whatever this was before her! To start, Liek believed he was a monster!? Far from the truth, Liek was a good man, he was a very good man at heart! So why did he believe he was a monster? He soon revealed it to Opherla, revealing to her that his mother was a leader of the Demon Realm!? When!? SINCE WHEN!? Opherla's eyes widened in shock further as she learned that Liek's dad, well, HE DIDN'T EVEN LOVE LIEK! He just wanted to spite his mother! And that's when Opherla understood it. There, in that moment, she knew that Liek believed he was a monster because in his youth, now he wondered if everything he was feeling was a lie. Opherla understood that feeling. That came to her when she failed to do more in South City.... but now, the demon in Liek was awakened before her. He pleaded for her to run... but Opherla was NOT going to run.
His mother would pay for this the best way Opherla knew how. By watching as her son grew into a beacon of hope for this planet alongside Opherla, as she looked at Liek with a determined face as they were now separated, the door slamming behind her as she knew that this was a fight she couldn't lose. It was time to fight for what she wanted. And right now. She wanted Liek back. And running wasn't going to bring him back. She would combat him using her brand new style of technique, the Energy Materialisation would bolster many of her previous attacks, as she stared down at Liek... before her aura flared, her power level being doubled that of Liek as it stood right now. He had grown so much. Opherla was proud of him. So proud, that Opherla was ready to bash this demon right out of him.
"Liek... I don't know if you can hear me... but even if you can't. I want you to hear my words and let them sink deep within your core, Liek." Opherla declared as she took her stance, her lunar aura flaring as she looked at Liek firmly. "This is going to hurt me much more than it will hurt you, because your demon is forcing me to strike the man I love. But let's get one thing clear, Liek. I knew something was amiss about you, ever since I met you from the start. I knew you had a darkness within you. In honesty, we all do. But it's what we choose to do with it that makes us who we are. Mine I turned to motivation, to leave it behind and pursue a strength that would be beneficial for the planet. I don't care what you choose to make yours, because I want you to hear me and hear me clearly, Liek!" Opherla yelled as her aura flared more, as on instinct, multiple Orgone Crystals formed around her to show she had learned Energy Materialisation down. "My name is Opherla. Defender of Earth. Beacon of Hope for this planet. And I love you, Liek, with all my being. Not even who you are now changes that. I'll show you my love here and now, by sending this darkness in front of me back from the deepest pits of hell it walked out from, so I can get the man I love back into my arms! And that IS MY PROMISE TO YOU, AS YOUR GIRLFRIEND, AND ONE WHO LOVES YOU UNTIL THE DAY WE DIE!!" Opherla proclaimed, in her last ditch effort to get Liek snapped out of his state, to get the man she loved back. To return him to who he was. Opherla didn't care about all the other stuff. She didn't care if his parents hated him. All she cared about, right here and right now was reminding him that he still had Opherla in his life, and she would fight this demon of his, to get the man she loved back! Nothing would ever change their love! Nothing would ever separate them!
Not even the darkness within Liek's own heart.

The Demon smirked and chuckled as it rose from the ground and sneered at the woman in front of it. The she-thing was babbling some nonsense it couldn’t care one bit about, but it could feel when she flared her power that she was much stronger then it was, which only served to anger it further. How dare this lowly she-thing demonstrate such strength in it’s presence! Didn’t she know her place was at it’s feet, kissing it’s toes and begging for it’s mercy before it claimed her as mother for it’s horde? Non-Demons where so stupid. Well, power difference or not it would show this wench her place!
Leaping forward the Demon cackled as it charged towards Opherla only to vanish in a flash of gold, only to appear next to her in the same moment swinging a kick directly at her head from behind, followed by Kamehameha. There was no mercy to be found in this beast.
He felt like he was drowning, he couldn’t breath, his lungs burned. His limbs wouldn’t move, they felt heavy, as if made from lead. He couldn’t hear anything, at least at first, then there was something, some muffled sound. He couldn’t tell where it was coming from, it sounded familiar, but it was so muffled he couldn’t place it. He couldn’t see, he was so shrouded in darkness he wondered if this was where light came to die. It was so all encompassing, so omnipresent, the pressure was crushing him and he felt like there was no way out…
“Inheritor.”
Another sound?
“Inheritor!”
A… voice? The boy forced his eyes open and noticed something in the dark, like a strand of string dangling from the endless void down to himself, a tendril of green light. He’d seen something like that before, hadn’t he? Yeah… when training Telepathy with Master Roshi…
“INHERITOR!” A voice boomed through the shadows, “FEAR NOT THE DARK! ALL THINGS IN BALANCE, JUST AS ALL THINGS MUST DIE…”
“So to…” The boy forced out a whisper, “Does all life… begin anew…” As he uttered the words it was like the sky opened up and he could clearly see Opherla, her power surging as she said the words;
And that IS MY PROMISE TO YOU, AS YOUR GIRLFRIEND, AND ONE WHO LOVES YOU UNTIL THE DAY WE DIE!!"
The boy’s eyes widened and strength surged through him, “She’s not giving up on me!” he growled to himself, “And I will never give up on her!” He began to move his body in the mindscape, resisting the insidious hold the shadows had on him. “I will not fear the dark! I will conquer it! I will bring it into balance… WITH HER LIGHT!!”

Opherla's eyes widened with fear as she watched the demon before her attack, but quickly steeled herself for the blow, only for him to warp behind her and nail her in the back of her head, and then got blasted by a Kamehameha, as she rolled across the ground, quickly stopping as she grit her teeth, looking up at the demon in front of her, as she thought there was no hope of getting Liek back, and so her heart hurt that she might have to hurt Liek badly, or worse, kill him, to get him back to her, at least, until she saw one of the eyes flicker a little bit... that flicker... was it Liek trying to get control? And how did Opherla even know that!? Was it... was it just the fact she was so connected to Liek, she could feel the emotions within him, even underneath the darkness!? Opherla would hopefully see some sort of sign that this was the case, as she stood tall, looking at Liek.
"Liek... I know you're fighting in there. This is going to hurt. Probably a lot... but I need you to be strong. I need you to stay strong. Because that's the only way we're gonna come back together, is if we're both strong! Right here, RIGHT NOW!" Opherla roared as she powered up, as suddenly, many Orgone Crystals formed to her sides, as she fired them at Liek in rapid succession, hoping the Energy Materialisation would seep through him and vanquish some of the darkness, or do something for him, in any case, Opherla would follow this up by enhancing her Wolffire Raze move, firing Orgone Crystals like shotgun blasts while the previous attack was ongoing, pelting Liek with Orgone Energy as Opherla prayed her plan worked while she rushed in to finish Wolffire Raze, slashing Liek's body rapidly before dashing through Liek, a massive Orgone explosion occurring behind him!
If Opherla's plan of Orgone Energy affecting Liek was working how she intended it to, the darkness around Liek would start to fade away from all the Orgone Energy attacks, and form before the young boy a Crimson form of energy, taking the shape of Opherla who seemed to be holding a spear in her hands as it approached Liek.
"Liek! Are you okay!? Come on, we have to get you out, before we rip each other apart!" The Orgone Materialisation of Opherla would exclaim to Liek, batting away some of the darkness surrounding him. "Take my hand! TAKE MY HAND!" The Energy Opherla shouted, holding her hand out to Liek for him to grab!

Opherla had indeed seen a flicker within the eye of the rampaging Liek as he fought within his own mind to regain control of himself. There could have been any number of ways the wolf-Saiyan could have realised; pure instinct? Empathy? Hope, both founded and unfounded? Or maybe in this wild state some of Liek’s sheer will leaked through the shadows, through his telepathy ability, to Opherla sending her just enough give her that impression? The world may never know for sure, not that it really mattered.
The Demon was frustrated that the wench hadn’t just rolled over like a good dog from it’s attacks, and was even more enraged when she didn’t give it time to follow up. Instead of getting to continue it’s assault it was forced to defend itself from a barrage of crystals, something it blocked by deploying the Energy Cloud, covering itself in a shimmering golden barrier that the crystals simply dissolved into. However it soon found it’s barrier crumbling as the wolfgirl combined Furiemshinken with her own style and started blasting it with Orgone enhanced Wolffire Raze blasts forcing it to remain in place. This left it open to the physical blows of the Wolffire Raze, the Energy Cloud crumbling the moment Opherla’s claws made contact.
The Demon howled in fury and pain before being knocked off balance…
While the Energy Cloud had blocked the majority of the Orgone the girl had been throwing around, enough had gotten through to have the desired effected. Her attuned Orgone was able to transmit into Liek’s body… but not because of Opherla, such a feat would be beyond Liek even with his complete mastery of Energy Materialisation doing what Opherla was doing would simply be beyond their skill level. No, they where not alone… something, someone was intervening.
Within his mind Liek grunted and roared against the shadows that restrained him, he could see Opherla! He could see her fighting! He could see her using Energy Materialisation! The joy of seeing the skill wielded by another, the love of his life no less, filled him to bursting with determination! That just sealed the deal! He couldn’t, wouldn’t let the beast within win now! He had to over come it! There was no way he was letting Opherla get away with a showing like that without kissing her for a solid hour, dammit!!
As he strained he didn’t notice as his eyes turned crimson and red lines began to trail down from the ends of his eyes to his jawline. His hair took on a reddened tint and his aura flared golden. As he continued to flex against his restraints cracks began to form in the shadows around him.
On the outside Opherla would have seen the Demon clutch it’s head and roar at the sky in apparent pain.
As the materialised vision of Opherla reached out for Liek he looked up at her and grinned. With one final roar, his joined by another much louder roar, he flexed one last time, wrenching his arms and legs free from the shadows, causing them to shatter like glass only for the shards to be blown past both Liek and the vision of Opherla by the other roar. As the shards of shadow cleared the mindscape was still dark, but it wasn’t an oppressive evil dark, more like the gentle darkness of the night during a full moon. As the boy reached out and took the vision’s hand with a smile the vision would have noticed something fading behind the mental version of boy.
A vast dragon with blackest obsidian scales and eyes and flesh roiling like molten magma, looking on the two with the closest thing to a smile such a creature could manage. As it faded so to did the mindscape itself.
The Demon’s scream was cut off and its hands fell limply to it’s sides.
After a painfully long moment Liek’s hands clenched and another roar issued from his throat as he thrust his arms into the air, his golden aura erupting! In an instant he was surrounded by absolutely massive golden Orgone Crystals reaching all the way to the ceiling! He continued to unleash his warcry for a moment longer before going silent.
“FEAR NOT THE DARKNESS!” His voice echoed, “ALL THINGS IN BALANCE! JUST AS ALL THINGS MUST DIE…”
His aura died down and the crystals started to dissolve.
Liek looked at Opherla with a smile on his face as he finished, “So to, by the Light, does all life begin anew…” The boy suddenly dropped to his knee and out of his transformation as he was hit by a sudden dizzy spell, probably from how mentally exhausting the whole ordeal had been.

Opherla had widened eyes when the demon suddenly started to let out the scream, as she immediately got in a defensive stance to prepare herself for impact, however, she found it would never come, as an image flashed in the mind of the dragon within Liek, that seemed to smile at them both. A dragon... what did it mean? What COULD it mean? As Opherla pondered this in her mind, she suddenly gasped as Liek roared and had the aura return, only he seemed to be in control this time, and seeming to be talking in a mantra with the authority behind his voice! Opherla watched in awe as the crystals surrounded Liek, as she smiled, knowing that Liek was finally back! However, she then watched as Liek would slump down from the dizzy spell, as her eyes widened in fear.
"Liek!"
The pain didn't matter. The methods to get here didn't matter. Nothing in this moment mattered at all to Opherla as she rushed to Liek and clutched him tightly, holding him close to her as she made sure to stabilize him, and not knock him over, as Opherla soon kissed Liek... many times on his face, the worry of the wolf girl showing in full as she looked Liek in the eyes to make sure it was him, before she hugged him again tightly, not wanting to let go as tears rolled down her face, as she held Liek tightly.
"Liek.... Oh my God Liek..." Opherla cried as she held on to Liek and continued to sob in his arms, overwhelmed with emotions as she got Liek back at long last. She hd him as tight as ever, and no part of her ever wanted to let him go. Because she loved him. Yes, she wanted answers. Yes, she wanted to know what it all meant. But she wasn't going to pry and pressure Liek. Not right now. Right now, he needed her, and she needed him. And that's all that mattered.
"Please, don't ever call yourself a monster again, Liek..." Opherla begged Liek, holding him tightly to her. "You're so much more of a good person than you give yourself credit for. I don't care what drove you to believe you're a monster. You're not. You're Liek. You're my boyfriend. And if that isn't genuine love, I don't know what is, Liek." Opherla assured him, caressing his cheeks with her hands, as tears rolled down her face from all the emotions she was feeling in this moment. "And don't you EVER think that anything about you will change the fact that I love you, got it!?" Opherla demanded as she hugged Liek yet again, not wanting to spare any moment not touching his body. Sure. For only a few moments, she had been without him... but those moments were a painful eternity of pain that Opherla was now experiencing for the first time. This... this was what it meant to truly love someone, and love someone with all that you are. Opherla would spend the amount of time she needed, which was hours of time just holding and loving Liek with her all. No words, only connection and kisses shared between them for a long while.
Hours later, as night fell, and after finally getting their emotions reigned in, with the stars outside shining brightly to compliment what light the moon was giving off, Opherla was taking the time to read the letters that had been in front of the training room Liek had ran to, with them both now in the Captain's Cabin. Opherla was rubbing her head in confusion and bewilderment, as she soon looked at Liek, with a lost expression and a face that showed complete disbelief, and honest misunderstanding of it all, as she looked at him.
"....What does this all mean, Liek?" Opherla asked. "You being the son of a Demon Queen basically, your father not loving you and just helped you, distantly, to spite your mother, which by the way she totally deserves it... to... what I just witnessed in the training room... ...Ugh... my emotions have my head spinning so much right now.... Liek... just.... ...What's the deal? What made you start to hate yourself over these... these letters?" Opherla asked, hoping Liek would give her a full explanation, even though she didn't quite ask the correct question in her mind.

The boy didn’t resist his girlfriend’s fusing, even if he had had the strength to do so he really didn’t want to. Her actions, both during that fight and right in this moment cemented the truth of her words into an unbreakable, undeniable reality for the boy. Instead he leaned into her, wrapping his arms around her and for that short while they where just embracing each other the only other thing he did was whisper back how loved her too. When she kissed him, he returned it wholeheartedly, if weakly thanks to his exhaustion. He couldn’t find the words to say it, but he took her words to heart, he wouldn’t call himself a monster again. No matter his bloodline he was her Liek, and that meant he couldn’t be a monster because she would never allow it.
Once time had passed and she had lead him to the Captain’s Cabin he sat next to Opherla, leaning against her. After a moment for his tired brain to process what she may have been missing he said, “My father was a low-class Saiyan on some mission to find planets to conquer and got into some kind of space accident and ended up in the Demon Realm. My mother found him and saw potential in Saiyan blood and the old man wasn’t interested in helping, so…” He flopped an arm not wanting to speak the name of the act, “So I happened… Dad kidnapped me, managed to escape the Demon Realm in his pod… then managed to crash on Earth near my Grandmother’s place.”
He paused and sighed, “I’d hoped… I knew Dad was gone. But I hoped one day I’d meet my mother. That she’d be a good person. That my parents had made me because they loved each other.” He snuggled against Opherla more, “Finding out the truth… cut really deep. I… I don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t been there…” Honestly, he didn’t want to think about it. He smiled at her, “Thank you, Opherla”
“I was scared. That wasn’t the first time I snapped like that… the first was when I was a kid. It was over something stupid… I caused so much damage to the forest… I hurt Grandma and she never really healed from those wounds… and… Ajax… he was a wolf I’d made friends with. He was my best friend… I… I killed him… when I woke up I was standing over his body with his blood on my hands…” The boy started crying. “So I swore to never let my emotions go wild again… but…” He grit his teeth, “Callion… he wanted to train me. Make me unlock some power… he wanted me to get angry…” He took a shuddering breath, “So he brought my Grandmother’s soul from the afterlife and threatened to kill her… if souls are killed in the living world they’re erased forever! I…” he whimpered, “I lost it…”
He took a moment to calm himself before continuing, “Then I read the letters and it all just seemed to click into place. I kept loosing it like that because I…” He was going to say he was a monster but stopped himself, “That’s what my mother wanted me to be. An attack dog lashing at at anything that wasn’t it’s master...”

Opherla's ears drooped as she heard Liek explain his situation to her, as she couldn't help but just feel so sorry for him. Liek was a good hearted man... but like most good hearted people, life had dealt him the worst possible of hands. A dad who didn't even love him. A mother who just wanted him as an attack dog. A relationship that was limited to only one moment of... well, Opherla didn't want to dive that far. All she knew was looking at Liek right now made her sad. Because Liek was such a good guy, and he had been given such a bad way of life to start out. Opherla couldn't help but get even sadder the minute Liek talked about Ajax, his pet wolf. Opherla imagined Ajax was a wonderful friend to Liek, and she would have stayed sad for a while...
Until Liek mentioned the next time he had lost control. And it was because of Callion. CALLION!? For real!?
"HE WHAT!?"
Opherla's blood was now an immediate boiling temperature as she grit her teeth in absolute anger. Just what in the hell was Callion doing!? What the hell was Callion THINKING!? He brought Liek's grandmother into the living realm, only to threaten to slay her RIGHT IN FRONT OF LIEK!? What kind of training was that!? Sure, Opherla knew that anger was the best way to bring out a Super Saiyan, but that was NOT the right way to go about that! Not at all! Any and all admiration and love Opherla once had for Callion that was overshadowed by her love for Liek was dashed in that moment. Opherla was going to make sure her next meeting with Callion would sting. Sting in so many ways the monk Saiyan would be SORRY he ever did that to Liek. Opherla would make SURE of that!
But for right now, Opherla would have to calm herself down. Liek was recovering, and he needed her to be level headed right now. Not raging over something that Callion did. Opherla sighed as she rubbed her head, having a small headache from everything as she brought Liek in even closer after feeling him snuggle closer to her, as she wrapped her tail around him for extra comfort.
"Sorry. But the idea that Callion did something like that is unforgivable. I intend to have a word with the man I formerly held affection for very soon." Opherla proclaimed to Liek firmly with a small snarl. "He'll regret doing this. I'll make sure he regrets doing it." Opherla stated, before she sighed again and leaned her head into Liek's a little bit, making the duo even closer together. "...Sorry. Let's just rest for now. I was hoping to show you how much I had done with Energy Materialisation... but that will have to come later, won't it?" Opherla asked with a soft look on her face as she kissed Liek's forehead. "Right now I want to focus on you getting better, so we can work on getting that darkness of yours a bit more under control. I hate your mom, by the way." Opherla remarked, trying to jab in a little joke, even though she realized it might have been of ill taste. "N-no offense meant by that..."

A part of Liek felt bad for mentioning Callion…
An itty bitty, teeny tiny little bit of him that went ignored, maybe it was the darker parts of himself, that he was now willing to embrace, but ignoring that part that said siccing his Girlfriend on Callion was a very mean thing to do was just somehow so satisfying. While both Liek and Opherla may have been weaker then weaker then Callion there was no fury like that of an angry woman, especially when that woman’s loved ones where involved.
“I… I didn’t want to bring up Callion at first…” Liek admitted, he genuinely didn’t. But he put voice to his reasons for not keeping it to himself, “I don’t want to keep secrets from you, not ones like that anyway.” He managed a soft laugh, “I swear, the only secrets I’ll keep from you will involve presents and parties.”
He accepted the extra comfort from the tail, absentmindedly stroking it with one hand.
“I saw…” He admitted, “I could see it while you where fighting, you where magnificent!” His eyes gazed over at his girlfriend with raw admiration. A tired grin formed on his face as he said, “Seeing you form those crystals so well… Inspired me to push harder. Because of your devotion… and because I owe you a reward for your hard work, I think.” A yawn interrupted him before he continued, “I think your reward should be… an hour long make out session!”
His mother. She had planned to use him to take over the Demon Realm and install herself on the throne. He didn’t blame Opherla for hating her nor did he take offence, rather he was thinking along similar lines, though probably a bit more vindictively then he may have if he hadn’t started accepting his darkness. “Wouldn’t it be funny…” He muttered sleepily, “If we took what she wanted, right out from under her…?” With those last words the youth drifted off to sleep.

Opherla felt a little bad herself for getting angry at Callion. A small part that was instantly shoved away as she focused on Liek, noticing how tired the boy was, and admittedly, she hadn't noticed how tired she had gotten from the adrenaline wearing off and now sitting next to her boyfriend on a comfy couch. Opherla actually yawned first, which caught her a little by surprise, as she soon softly giggled as she heard Liek tell her the only secrets he would keep would be presents and parties. Opherla felt exactly the same, and suddenly felt Liek stroking her tail, a blush appearing on her face as she fully allowed it, the sensations of it making her tingly and very comfortable.
Opherla couldn't help but feel her heart swell when Liek praised her for using Energy Materialisation. Opherla was so happy to hear it, knowing that if he was happy for how far she had come, then that was all the more the good news for her, as she smiled brightly and got even closer to Liek, warming his body up more as she felt so proud of herself. She was now well on her way, she believed, to fully mastering the Furiemshinken, and she couldn't be more happy that Liek was her teacher in this journey, leading her along in the ways she should train and fight, so that Liek would not be the sole user of the Furiemshinken, and Opherla could now carry that mantle with him, as well as make it her own, in a manner of speaking.
"Thanks, Liek." Opherla would tiredly tell Liek to respond to his praise as she soon heard him talk about how inspired he was to see her improvement, and then proceeded to tell her she deserved a reward, a one hour make out session! Be careful what you wish for, Liek, Opherla knew that most of the time, especially when they were full of passion, those make out sessions usually led to something else... but nevertheless Opherla giggled as she looked at Liek. "I don't need any reward except your praise, Liek, but okay, sure." Opherla remarked with a wide smile.
Opherla watched as Liek was starting to doze off into slumber, leaning in on Opherla's chest, which Opherla didn't mind. As long as Liek was comfortable, that's all that mattered to the wolf girl right now. But she suddenly heard Liek give a hypothetical about his mom, asking if it would be funny if they took what she wanted right out from under her? Opherla felt relieved that Liek took no offense at her hating his mom, and as a matter of fact, seemed to encourage them doing a heinous act to her, which was, in Liek's eyes, taking something right out from under her. And Opherla knew exactly what Liek meant. Taking her own son, right away from under her plans. Opherla smiled and nodded, soon kissing Liek on his head as she soon leaned into him to where they both were comfortable.
"Yeah... she deserves it when we do..." Opherla would finish off, soon drifting all the way to sleep... and as they had themselves connected so close to one another, the two of them shared an amazing dream of their future, Liek a fully grown man, Opherla a fully grown woman, each holding children in their arms and loving them as only a proper mother and father would, all the while sticking it to Liek's hateful mother all the way.
