Geenz.
A sleazy bastard, from what her boss, Darc, informed her. A spoiled brat who was coddled by his rich parents, took life for granted as he was bored of living off the luxurious lifestyle that he didn't have to work oh, so hard for. Instead, he took the stupider and more asinine route of running off to start his own gang and cause havoc. AKD, he called it. Assassinate, Kill, Die, were what those three letters meant. Typical. His gang was advertised for the outcasts, the forgotten, the damned, and the misfits. It was meant to be a safe haven for those that were just "different" and to bond, unite as one. Alternatively, Geenz exploited them to his own gain and took advantage of their demons to turn them into ruthless killing machines.
It made Shorette sick to her stomach; some rich boy who had it all and decided to throw it away, and for what? Sick pleasure? Boredom? The twisted bastard he was... to control those that fought with internal problems they struggled with. It was despicable. No, the young woman quickly shook her head to bring herself back to reality. As much as she wanted to stomp on that jackass's neck, she had to keep calm. She's dealt with worse since her recent employment with Valope Enterprises.
While she was disgusted... Shorette was, at the same time, impressed with the numbers that grew fast in numbers... but now wasn't the time to ponder on his recruitment skills and charisma levels.
She was assigned this contract all on her own with one single objective: bring Geenz to the office. Alive. This just meant she had to be more careful. Prior to being assigned this contract, there was a mole that joined the man's gang to gather intel; log in their every move, where they've went, their enemies, collected as much information as she could for the company to use to their advantage to capture Geenz and dismantle the gang. Her name was Chime, and she was a member of the AKD for about three months. She eventually became a recruiter to recruit more "broken individuals on a journey to recovery and happiness", when in reality it was to become a pawn to a pointless game that led nowhere but death.
It was why Shorette arrived at an abandoned factory, the assumed base that the AKD temporarily stayed in, according to Chime's notes. She managed to "recruit" the young woman, and she arrived at the factory for a "meeting". In other words, Chime was Shorette's way for easy access into the gang.
When Shorette arrived, she noticed the outside riddled with turrets that watched her every move. Although they didn't fire immediately, they waited for her to make one wrong move before they'd lit her up with bullets. She kept a straight face and continued forward towards the entrance. As mentioned before, the young woman dealt with worse. This was nothing to her. However, it was worth being mindful that Geenz might've been a flashy bastard who liked to flaunt his authority and skillset related to it, he wasn't a fool to not add extra security. She wouldn't be surprised if there were more turrets or even traps inside the factory.
As Shorette approached the entrance, she noticed a telecom by the side of the door. She took a deep breath before she heavily sighed, mentally preparing herself for whatever was about to happen. Right now, her goal was to get in. After that, meet with Chime. Then, become officially an AKD gang member. Will things go wrong? It is very possible. Does Shorette have a backup plan? Absolutely not, but life has never damned her whenever she improvised, so what could really go wrobg?
Shorette's cover story, for better or worse and more or less, was a neglected child named Magree who strayed into the wrong crowd, hooked on the wrong stuff, and gets agitated if she doesn't get her dose. Her index finger raised and pressed down the red button, she began to speak. She met Chime near the corner of a supermarket, and Chime knew that she could be "fixed" by joining the AKD, thus the address given to her, and here "Magree" was.
"Chime? Chime are you there? It's me, Magree, the girl you met close to that one market. You said to meet you in here, or whatever." As expected, Chime was meant to be close to the com for instant communication. All Shorette had to do was wait for Chime to reply and grant her access to come in.
Things could either go very swimmingly and according to plan, or it could all go to shit in a matter of five seconds with unpredictability.
Well... fingers crossed. I just hope Chime is at least going okay.
