Things had been so much different now after the defeat of Liari, though Athren still had an objective and plenty of things to accomplish in his life, the thing he was working the hardest at was now behind him. He put every single ounce of his efforts into facing off against the menacing majin warrior and though it did come at a cost of the life of someone he respected, the fight was behind him now. The only thing he could look to now was the future, how was he going to find the rest of the Dragon Balls? Even with the Radar, those things were stubborn bastards. Whether they be frozen deep in the thick ice of the North or at the bottom of the ocean in the East, they were truly a pain to find. Along with that, he had to keep this new town up and running. There were just over twenty residence of people taking care of each other, providing everything for one another and it was a rather peaceful community so far, one that Athren knew would expand given time. He just needed to maintain it, keep everybody happen and keep the peace from external and internal threats. Athren was in the hall that he called home, it had also doubled as a place for him to provide meals and other essential items to those in the village who needed. If one were to walk into one of the two main entrances, they'd come into a room with two long tables and plenty of seats and off in the center would be a singular chair for Athren to sit and watch those in the room take part in great feasts and celebrations. Though his life was rather uneventful as of late, he was surely enjoying the peace time. The happy smiles of those around him, the people he began to get to know. He was taking Pybara's lessons to heart and passing on his teaching in small forms. He was slowly becoming the individual Pybara wanted him to be, that he guided him to be. Behind Athren's chair were two more doors in the left and right corners, this would lead to a spot created to retain water from the river and make a pool with full sights of the waterfall crashing near. The sound of it peaceful and very relaxing to the saiyan warrior who had finally been finding his stride in peace time. It was roughly 2:30PM, and Athren had found himself in his base form floating in his normal attire. He was lost in his own thoughts about everything that had happened in his life and all the decisions that had led him to this moment, to the massive victory over Liari and to the small victory of building this home, this village and giving these people a roof over their heads. He couldn't help but think about his children and how they had been thriving under Callion and Ayu's guidance and how in the end, the Planet he came here to attack was finally becoming home. In such a short time period, just over a year the planet itself started to feel like a place he could permanently call home. Today had been a rather quiet day, though the population in the village was low the people were thriving. There had been some massive gardens, farms, a village doctor and people had generally left him alone for the most part, though he could always expect a random drop in at any point. This place did attract the eyes of wanderers, travelers looking for a place to live or those who had just been passing through and more frequently than not, individuals could pick him out from the media of the events in South City. Whether it be a brave camera man on the ground level or a helicopter in the air, people had images of the fighter who saved the Earth and his power was talked about. Though mostly theories, people had an idea of what he was capable of. As he lay in the water blankly looking up to one of the balconies above, Athren let himself get lost in thought. There wasn't a need to rush anymore, to push himself hard to get something done. It seemed like that may have been behind him for now. He'd collect the Dragon Balls in his free time after all the chores in the village were complete. After all, he wanted this place to be perfect when he finally made his wish. He wanted to welcome his resurrected friends with open arms, to a place that was more than capable of handling the big crew. Whether they would stay permanently or at all was up to them, but the option would be there. One thing that he couldn't help but think about was how they'd react. His former wish made everybody forget about him, he would be nothing more than a stranger to them. Though without the Nova as their home, they'd need a place. The Nova was currently parked in a hidden spot behind the waterfall. It was out of sight from anybody who wasn't specifically looking for it. Though Athren was enjoying his peaceful thoughts, they would soon be interrupted, though unlike what felt like a previous lifetime, he wouldn't be so bothered by strangers bothering him anymore. He had finally pushed the brakes and found something more to live for aside from fighting and becoming the best he could be. In this house, he found himself a home that he would welcome almost everybody too. The only question was, would whomever was about to interrupt him be a friend or an enemy? It was easy to get to him and any of the villagers would've pointed any new comers his direction. After all, he was the most qualified to handle it all. Give assistance, guidance or anything that a stranger required. Now what was it going to be?

The only thing that filled Isla's heart more with glee than a day off. The adventures she encountered as a USD agent were exciting, she'd admit, and dare she'd say fun, but nothing beat a simple day of relaxation before the demon returned to her usual schedule the next day. Nothing was more tension reducing than a simple walk through Mount Paozu. Granted, the region was far from being a safe location for a casual stroll due to its hazardous creatures that lurked on the land, mainly dinosaurs. Compared to what she did the past week to fighting a couple of wild beasts, she wouldn't break much of a sweat.
Though, it wasn't often did Isla picked Mount Paozu as a hotspot for traveling in relaxation, much less in general, unless it was anything related to her duties, so when she discovered a village within the area, confusion settled on her face. Granted, this could be on Isla's part on her neglect of learning possible new settlements or it was an area she never explored upon. Arms crossed, Isla looked around as she surveyed the area. There wasn't much people, but there was a sign of life with a few natives to the village, if she had to estimate. The infrastructure was impressive despite the low population. Was it okay for her to wander around? What if she wasn't welcomed?
Entering the village, Isla caught a few stares and glances at her direction. She couldn't make out if they were out of curiosity for the outsider or caution. Ignoring the stares, she continued to explore the village, head turning each direction to take in the different buildings. There, that's when she came across a river and discovered someone... lying in it? She didn't know how to take the sight in. Was this person depressed? Or maybe it was some form of relaxation, albeit odd looking.
"If you're trying to drown yourself, you're not doing it right." A morbid joke was made as the demon smirked and approached the floating man.

Hearing the voice of the visitor normally would have made him arch a brow curiously, but her comment alone was enough to make him shake his head lightly and put a small smirk on his face. It wasn't often that somebody entered his house with that kind of humor but he had to admit that it was rather funny and he even went as far to admire the comment. Though to communicate back with her, he wouldn't resort to traditional means of speaking vocally, he was going to try something that he had been working on around his village for quite a few months with the residence. It was still something he had rather struggled with but given his current state and how relaxed he was, focusing in on it shouldn't be that difficult. If he failed, the worst case would be an unnaturally long pause before he replied, why not go for it? He took a brief moment to really focus in on her ki, his training with his own ki had allowed him to sense an individual deep within an truly assess their powers. Whether he powers had been hidden through clothing items or suppression he was able to get an accurate read on how strong she was. Though this wasn't the goal, he noticed that she wasn't a threat at all to him in her current form as he tried to connect with her on a mental level. As the weeks had gone on, Athren was trying this with all of the new people that had been coming to the village. This technique wouldn't allow him to read minds at the current level and that was something he was aiming for, but it would simply allow him to communicate telepathically with them and the range was as far as he could sense. So in theory, as long as he could sense them anywhere in the universe, he'd have a solid chance at speaking with him. The usage of this technique were many and in a pinch it could even save lives. He wanted this to communicate with Callion. If things started heading to conflict on Earth, at least he could reach his backup. It took a few short seconds before Athren was able to actually pull it off but it seemed as if his training around the village had paid off. He had learned how to telepathically speak with those around him and who better to try it out on than a stranger with such humor? Hopefully she wouldn't mind this choice but he just wanted to test it out to see if he could actually pull it off. Without him moving his lips, she'd simply hear his voice in her head. Calm, passive and rather amused from her comment. ~ It's safe to say you've got some pointers for me? Let me guess.. the first one being float face down?~ Of course, he was just playfully bantering back with her on the subject she had broken the ice with but that wasn't going to last for long. Athren was far too much of a straight shooter to not get down to business. Once her business was figured out, he'd gladly assess the situation from there. Hopefully she was going to be here for a good reason, something innocent. Hell, maybe she was even here looking for a home or here to help, whatever it may be, Athren was going to be more than happy to hear her out. If he could help her, he absolutely would. After all, he was already in such a good mood and finally succeeding with his telepathy made his day even better. It was so strange, being unaware of all these abilities up until recently and yet he still didn't quite know what his demon heritage made him capable of, or where it's limits were. It was in this moment that he'd use his instant transmission technique to appear in front of her, he'd then use his magic materialization technique to create a mug of freshly brewed ale in his right hand and in his left was a fancy glass of red wine that he'd extend to the woman before him. He still had to learn how to be a good host and it was something that wasn't coming to him naturally but he had to try his best and in this case, it was the best thing that he could come up with.
"Welcome to Crimson Hall." He paused for all but a brief moment, "I don't get too many visitors, so I've got to ask what brings you here? Just visiting? Passing through?"Welcoming others was something he still had to work on a lot. He was never really the social type and had spent most of his life working with a small crew of people. Even when he ran his own crew of 100 or so, he only really got to know half of them on a personal level. His thing was always fighting and training in exile, running jobs in low numbers and getting stronger. Socializing in those earlier years just didn't seem like a priority. Though hopefully this woman was a little more outgoing than him and from her first comment, it seemed that would be the case. Though it would make him a very poor host, he was hoping at least for the response to his words that she could carry the weight of the conversation until he at least found his stride. Surely, once they got to speaking about her purpose here, he'd be able to slide in some relevant comments. If it were a home she was looking for, he'd easily be able to set her up. A meal? Done. She just had to be honest for as long as she wasn't here looking to cause trouble, he'd be more than happy to try and help her. Though it was still weird, this lifestyle change but Athren had to admit, trying to be a good person wasn't the worst thing in the world.

Isla was taken aback from an unknown voice that echoed in her head. So he knows how to mentally communicate with people. Duly noted. Just when she was going to go into her mind to reply, she stopped herself and only chuckled as a response followed by a shake of her head. "Nope. Let's just say I've met a few people who tried to float around like you did and ended up having their lungs filled with water. The difference is, some of them tried to do it on purpose." It took somewhat of a morbid turn in her banter, but nonetheless it was anything but truthful. She'd only hope the man would take it somewhat lightly.
She rose a brow at the man as he managed to summon a glass of beer and handed her a glass of wine. Isla couldn't help but widen her smirk into a warm smile. "Well, well, a gentleman after my own heart. Keep it up and I might just have to be obligated to somehow return the favor." She winked and took a sip of the wine. Of course, Isla was a wine lover so the minor gestures related to it was all it took to swoon her over.
"Crimson Hall?" Isla repeated the name. "I'll be honest with you, I've always had to do calls and take up surveying the planet for any sort of potential threat and unusual activities, but I don't think I ever came across your... home before. I suppose you could say I'm just passing through." It was strange that a village like the this never popped up in her radar. She almost felt bad admitting it. Then again, the man mentioned that he barely had visitors, so not all was too bad to make Isla feel a little silly.
When she took another sip, she looked around the village once more. "But... if you don't mind, I'd love to take a tour of this 'Crimson Hall'. Maybe a meal or two to help keep me energized, if that isn't too much to ask. If it is, a tour is more than enough." She requested. She was more than curious to know the history of the village, how it came to be, especially since Isla was, technically, still somewhat new to the planet.

Athren couldn't help but smirk lightly at her comments, his ocean blue eyes locking onto hers ever so briefly as he brought out an honest response. "Well, Luckily for you that wasn't the case. Otherwise, You'd be dealing with the corpse. Though even if that thought ever crossed my mind, I wouldn't say I'd have the luxury of making such a rash decision. Too many people are counting on me." Now of course is she was observant, she would've noticed the twenty to thirty people that resided in the village. It wasn't a big number at all. Of course, Athren was referring to the large crew of his that he had gotten killed. The one the town was for, the one crew he was trying to wish back.
Once the woman had accepted the drink he had offered, he couldn't help but take a quick drink of his own. He wouldn't have done it if she declined, he was trying to be pleasant and polite to his guests after all. Though her words had rather caught him off guard and with the wink, he wasn't initially quite sure how to react. For now, he simply gave her a smile. "I wouldn't worry about returning the favor on this one, but maybe if you have another we'll have to discuss terms?" Of course his humor was a little rough. He was bred as a warrior, his light side had only really started to show through as of late.
He couldn't help but repeat the name of it after she did, followed by a brief history of how the place got it's name. "Crimson Hall." A short pause followed. "Named after a group I used to be a part of. Plus to honor them, the waterfall and both rivers surrounding the village light up in a crimson color at night. That's why the town is called Crimson Rivers." He made sure not to go into too much detail, he didn't want to be connected to anything from the past. Of course, if somebody were to get close enough to him he'd be honest but now wasn't the time. "And you wouldn't have heard of it before, It's only but a few months old." In all honesty, he was rather surprised this place was already getting the little bit of attention it was. It wasn't like it was in a very populated area.
Athren couldn't help but nod his head, at her request for a tour and food. "I wouldn't mind at all, there's more than enough to go around. The village provides for themselves and not only does the hall serve as my home but also as a place for the villagers to get necessities. I wanted to make sure nobody went hungry if their plans didn't work out for them." Athren took deep thought into making sure everybody who lived her was taken care of. Housing was free, there was no taxes and everybody essentially worked for trade. The handful of occupations he had here so far were quite unique and everybody seemed to be making it work just fine.
"Where would you like to start? House? Village?" He paused for a moment once more. His ocean-blue eyes focused on hers. "And if you happen to have one too many drinks, you're more than welcome to take your time passing by. There are more than rooms for you to stay in, including mine." Maybe it was a little bold to playfully flirt to that degree, but with her sense of humor he believed that she wouldn't mind at all. Surely, she'd fire back with a smart remark. Either way, Athren did have a way to back peddle out of it if she didn't like the comment.

The banter shot back, Isla chuckled. It looked like her little joke worked so there was no need to backtrack. Not like she would, but she would've been quick to recover and move on. "Well thank goodness, I wouldn't want to try to do paperwork on my day off." She laughed. As her laughter settled down, she took one more look around before settling back onto the other man. She wondered how these people got here. Could it be that they were the helpless in need of a community to bring them back together? Better yet, how did the USD not catch them sooner so they could have provided better for them?
A village only a few months old, but still managed to gain a population even if it was small. The history behind the village and its function was honorable. It made Isla respect the man more, even if she just met him. All she could do was nod her head. It has also made a lot more sense with the village's age and Isla not hearing about it until she came across it. "I respect that. You're an honorable man." There was something about someone using all their resources and giving back to those in need that she can't help admire. The way he carried himself and what the village stood was just respectable.
Isla cracked a smirk at the man's risque joke as her request for a tour was accepted. "In that case, we can start with your room for a couple of hours and continue the tour tomorrow." She returned the man's flirtatious attempts. She didn't think he'd be the type to flirt, but there he was. Isla wondered just how far she could take it, but for now she'd start slow and steady."On a slightly serious note, we can start with the village itself. I want to know more about the landmarks and their history, if there's anything impactful about them. We can work over a house tour after." She giggled.
Willing to take more risks, Isla wrapped her arm around Athren and pulled herself close to his side, almost snuggling up to him. "The village is bigger than it looks, I wouldn't want to get lost, you know? I wouldn't mind staying either. Like I said, your room's part of the tour." If he was uncomfortable, she was more than willing to tone it down and take a step back.

Hearing another playful comment, Athren found it hard not to form something that had resembled a smile. It wasn't usually like him to be able to vibe with somebody so quickly but she had a sense of humor that he couldn't help but find amusing and her laugh, it just made it even better. Though he couldn't help but be curious to what she actually did for work, he'd save that for later as it was a more serious subject and he'd rather just enjoy the moment of innocent fun. "Well, It would appear you would've found the right corpse in the right town then. You're out of your jurisdiction, We've got people to do that sort of paperwork." Of course he was just continuing to play along and in all honesty, that wasn't even something they had set up in this town yet. If somebody were to die here, they'd be buried and that was that but that was besides the point. He honestly couldn't help what was going on in her head while he explained the founding of the town. He knew it was a rather unique beginning for a place such as this and it's purpose was rather odd but he was intrigued with what she thought of it. Not many of the visitors really asked questions like this. People wanted to know if there was shelter and if they could stay either temporarily or permanently. Nobody would really ask the history. Though when she gave him her respect he couldn't help but shake his head lightly and give a minor hint about the person he used to be. "I wouldn't go that far. I'm just somebody who's trying to right a few wrongs." It was strange, months ago he wouldn't have been so open. Maybe it was the Earth or maybe it was just her, he couldn't hell but it really didn't matter much. Boy, was he changing. Though what happened next would completely catch him off guard, her response to his bedroom flirt had been something completely unpredictable. Start with his room for a few hours? He couldn't help but bite his lip ever so lightly as his ocean blue eyes would've easily been noticed scanning her down from head to toe for a brief second. Her giggle then amplified some sort of feeling, whatever it was. He didn't know, he wasn't good at these types of feelings. He was bred for one single purpose, he was quite literally brought into this world to conquer the universe and rule the Demon Realm, he wasn't meant for such.. wonderful moments. One would think, a warrior capable of pushing himself beyond the limits of Super Saiyan would have all the power in the room but to her next action, it was clear that wasn't the case at all. Her arm wrapped around his as she pulled herself very close to his side, nearly snuggling up to him. He hadn't ever experience quite a gentle gesture in this fashion before, it was more than enough to throw him off balance but also enough to make him crave further contact with her. He didn't even care that they didn't even know each others names, he was going to shoot his shot and double down on her playful flirtation.
His head turned as he gazed down into her eyes. He heard everything she said about the tour and the more serious note but he couldn't help but come up with an alternative. "On a serious note. Those stairs behind you? They'll take us right to my room and I promise you, there's more than enough I can show you up there to last for hours." His tone was rather soft and gentle at this comment. He didn't even question how she'd react. This just came out naturally, almost as if he couldn't pass up on a moment like that. Whether or not she'd agree was a different story but hopefully the backup plan of a tour would be a solid recovery if he was declined.
