Wachi, a drug cartel whose name began to pop up under the radar of the USD and EDF alike. Led by a leader who went under the alias, Kuuro, the criminal organization had spread their influence and gained power throughout various regions on Earth at a very alarming rate. With the recent events that happened on the planet and the massive damage and backlash the Universal Syndicate of Defense faced, they couldn't afford anymore mishaps to happen on the planet. It was already bad enough humans were already expanding chaos and disturbing the peace on Earth, but having other species from other planets and dimensions causing mayhem was more than just a bad look.
The Wachi were no ordinary drug cartel that could be dealt with in a short amount of time; they had a complex hierarchy system with hundreds, thousands, if not almost millions, of members all doing their part. There were bosses that worked under chiefs, and those bosses served Kuuro. In short, it'd be going through hell and back over a thousand times to make sure this organization is permanently dealt with, but it was all the better reason to go after them and end their empire before it acquires any more sway. Isla was one of the few agents in the force that was more than willing and even excited to take on something so significant; it was almost as if this was the biggest moment in her career.
Of course, she had to start small and she wasn't doing it alone despite her power and being able to handle more than what she can chew. She was assigned two other partners to guide her with the demon being the main leader of the operation. There was Graves, a stoic and mysterious agent who always held his own, but a team player that looked out for others from the shadows. The other half of this duo was a man named Vanic. Similar to Graves, who had a peculiar atmosphere to his character, Vanic was much more social and likeable. These two were somewhat polar opposites, but they always managed to work well together.
The two men were in all black tactical gear, and naturally Isla had to follow. It was wise to not stand out and blend in with the environment, mainly the darkness. It felt a little uncomfortable, given Isla's usual fashion choices allowing room for flexibility and mobility, but it was understandable for her to camouflage and provide more protection.
The trio was in an abandoned city in the Eastern Continent on a rooftop, safe from prying eyes, occupied by one of the bosses that worked under the chief of security for Kuuro. The woman in charge of this particular area was Ava. Not much is known, or at least essential information to consider. All that could be said was that she was a perfectionist with a short temper. Anything that didn't go as planned, she kills off a member of her group that was either involved and somehow messed up, or kill them just to relieve the stress pent up inside her. She was... an interesting character, which explained why she was one of the first bosses to be buried deep in the dirt.
Graves had binoculars and scouted the entire ground area. He sucked his teeth in frustration. "Shit ton of mercs armed. Some even got grade A armor and padding on top of that." He pulled the binoculars away and shoved them in his pocket.
"Looks like we might as well go in guns blazin' on this one. No point in trying to stealth our way around this. They're all basically paired up together." Vanic chimed in.
Graves shook his head in disagreement. "Ava might be a hardass who'll do anything to make sure her higher ups are pleased, but not enough to risk her life for it." She said.
"Saying she'll run the moment shit goes down?" Vanic questioned.
"Yup. she values her own life above her goons. Take a general's title away from them and all they really are is a fool with a hat." Isla replied. "That said, we don't have to completely eliminate the idea of going gung ho."
"Now you're talkin'!" Vanic excitedly agreed.
"How so?" Graves asked.
Isla pointed at a tall building not too far from the trio. "That's the main building where Ava's office's located, specifically deep in the basement. She won't be able to hear the gunfire from there. We just have to be really careful with our shots and take out as much goons as we can. Ideally, we go after the ones with radios that could potentially warn Ava about our presence." She said.
"Sounds like a plan to me. We start shootin' taking out all of the outer forces, charge into the building, kill those inside, then we get Ava." Vanic looked almost too excited to start shooting, but it was enough to Isla that he was willing to start as soon as possible.
"Not a big fan, but we don't have a choice. So I'm in." Graves concurred.
"Alright, boys. It's settled." Out of thin air, Isla summoned a glowing dark blue rifle and aimed it down at the ground area. "On my signal, we go down and start shooitng. Also while staying alive, preferable." She explained.
"No promises, but in the event that I don't make it, I have a very specific-"
"Fuck off, Vanic." Graves growled.
