Liari's deep blue skin burned hot with the demonic fires she had been consumed by, black blazes arching up her neck and encompassing her head like blazing cloak from the pits of hell. The majin writhed and twisted amongst the among the flames, her own energy keeping it from spreading but doing little to staunch the burn the consumed ever deeper into her core. Liari's eyes glowed an enraged, pained sanguine as the flames arched down her back, touching upon her face like the mane of a great beast, their plumes of black heat flaring with the majin's ki as she desperately tried to quench the burn!
Water merely boiled away at her touch, the ground catching alight as she tried to roll over it, her ki only seeming to feed its life as much as her flesh... Zerori had blasted her clone with this fire... and now it spread to HER! ...and it fed into her darkness. Liari seethed through gritted teeth, her lips pulled back in a feral, almost animalistic snarl as the bore through the unceasing agony. Her vision blurred red and black at the edges, anger, frustration and unconsciousness debated amongst one another for control over the majin.
"Hate..." She whispered, her aura flaring up around her in a visceral burst of power, spraying fire, ki and invisible force out like a geyser! "Hate... them... all..." Her blood boiled, driven on by her pain, the majin resisting every urge in her body to destroy EVERYTHING in sight! The compulsion tugged at her nerves the way a puppet master would his strings, fighting against the remnants of logic in the Majin's mind, tempting her with gratification!
"Kill... them... all...." She hissed vindictively, raising her hand to her face, her red, glowing eyes tracing along the fire arching up her arm. "...Yes..." Her voice grew lower, harsher, as if a hand gripped her throat, her steam hissing out along the holes in her arms and mixing with the ki and fire. They would all die, she would see to that. For what they did to her, blighting her with this cursed flame... She would kill them all a piece at a time, enjoy herself while she killed them with their own PLANET! The thought brought a twisted grin to the majin's face, an ugly, spiteful laugh reverberating in her throat. If it hurt them, made them cry, let them feel even a TASTE of this fire as it burnt against her body...
...She would do it. But not now.
No, she wanted to get enough of them together so that when the planet exploded, they would ALL know why. She wanted their last moments to be about despair as much as blood. She wanted to see them cry as their little funny friends burned alive in the fires of her hatred.
...But to do that... She would have to get this DAMNED FLAME UNDER CONTROL!
"It will all be worth it..." She whispered to herself, staring at the sky. "...If I can make them all feel what I feel... It will all be worth it... I know..."

Zaks was training as Usual with her kids in the next room watching her as she bounced around the gravity room. She sometimes felt bad for the kids only being able to sit there and watch her for hours as she tried to become stronger to protect them. But after feeling the large power level the other day Zaks felt positively weak compared to it and it had awoken something deep inside of herself. Every damn night since feeling that power level over east city she has been dreaming of… him. She did not know how she knew who he was, only that he was real and he was her father. The being in her dreams was huge, the size of a mountain always looking down at her in his shadowy form. She could see nothing but his eyes judging her and for some reason it terrified her. Why did she feel like she was failing him and she honestly knew the reason why but why did it matter? Why did it matter that she was weaker than him by a mile and completely unworthy of even a fraction of his power. That Power that was always coming closer…wait it really was coming closer!!
Zaks Felt herself snapped back to reality as the power that had come from the east city approached her at a high rate of speed. At first she thought they had sensed her and her family but that could not be the case as they were a little off in their destination. With a quick nod of her head to May, Zaks ran outside the ship until she was on the ground outside and she heard the roar of the engine start up. May would pilot the ship out of the area with her baby brother while Zaks would stay behind to buy time and throw any possible trackers off their trail. With a deep breath Zaks hid her Ki and started to bounce along the ground in the direction of the monstrous Ki she was feeling. The more she felt it the more she felt something familiar lurking on the back of her head like she had felt it before.”” IT….feels a bit like Terra.”” Zaks would never forget that child and wondered if this was her mother she had talked about way back when. But something felt completely wrong in the intent of their KI. With a shake of her head Zaks refocused on her task at hand and kept up her hidden approach to the figure. Zaks knew her size was far too large to be running around on two feet to be able to be kept hidden so she did what she learned to do all the years ago inside the shell. She slowly leaned forward and began to stalk closer to her target, moving ever so slower as she crept closer.
Soon her target came in sight and startled her by just how massive it was and it reminded her of a messed up Great Ape. Taking place in a nearby bush she watched the creature struggle in pain with what looked like black flames and caused the creature visible agony. Zaks almost stepped out of cover to offer the figure aid until she heard it mutter under breath how it would kill them all. “” Shhhhit.”” Zaks whispered to herself as she felt her pointed ears twitch as she tried to hear more of the beast was saying and what she heard scared her to the bone. This thing was beyond angry and Zaks had gotten way too close to it. She had felt Athrens power and even had to flee from it and she was under no false pretenses that she would fare any better. Creeping away on all four limbs Zaks hoped she would get away before it randomly saw…. Her.
Zaks silver eyes widened as the creature random looked right at her and Zaks looked straight into the beast's eyes.””Shit shit shit!!”” Zaks under her breath as she leapt away from the Creature no longer hiding her power level as she tried to get as much distance from it as she could in the opposite direction of her kids.

WC: 509| PL: 25,777 (6,444 currently due to super weighted clothing) | Bonuses: Super Weighted Clothing (+75% PL gains), Rookie Bonus (+65% PL gains), Wealthy (+10% zeni gains) With what has happened in East City earlier, Derrick now fully realizes that so long as beings as powerful as Liari and that super saiyan exist, his organization, the Dirty Snakes, can never truly thrive without risk of complete and total collapse. All it would take is a single stroke from them to wipe everything that the boss had worked for to be suddenly erased, a fate he is not so eager to see come to fruition. As such, he needs ways to attempt to become as strong as them, ideally even stronger than them if he wishes for his work to thrive. How this would be accomplished remains a mystery, but he could at least buy some time...
He wasn't completely certain as to where Liari had fled to after the events in East City, but he believes that she couldn't have gone too far away. Perhaps this is one of the craziest plans he has ever come up with, but if he could just say the right things to the blueberry, then he might just get her off of his back as well as away from both Khyrop and Maycair. He still needs those two if they're going to assist in making sure the Snakes remain as a solid foundation, and he doesn't want the majin to go around ruining his plans for them in the future.
Derrick's searching, eventually, bore fruit, and off in the distance he finally spots Liari, who still appears to be in her Oozaru for, the human still quite unsure how she was able to pull something like that off. From what he could tell from a distance, and with a bit of help from his modified sunglasses giving him a bit of extra farsight, she was still burning from that red armored fighter, and those flames, or whatever they might be, still sting from the looks of it.
Once he arrived finally, it looked like Liari's attention was elsewhere as another individual, one he's not familiar with, launches from the ground and attempts to flee the scene. Just who exactly was that, and what the hell was she doing here? It matters little, as he doesn't anticipate that Liari, despite being on fire, would allow someone like her to escape so easily. At the very least, he can make his own presence known...
"So this is where you ran off to, huh Liari?" Derry shouts in her direction, slowly floating back down to the ground as he begins to walk towards her, "I tried to warn you, didn't I? Things were only going to get messy when you took the approach you did, and look at you now. Now, I didn't come all the way out here just to taunt you about that whole ordeal back in the city. Seems like we might be long overdue for a talk, don't you think?"

Post by Majin Liari on Nov 22, 2022 12:36:21 GMT -5
As steam billowed out from the majin, her form appeared to deflate, Muscle, bulk, it all seemed to recede against her body, making her appear skeletal... almost emaciated and gaunt! The color of her skin, once a deep, dark blue, faded into something ashier, lifeless. Her energy sunk deeper into the darkest pits of sensation as if her signature were a fissure in ones senses, threatening to suck in and consume that which approaches. A low, almost whispering screech could be heard as the steam was enveloped by the fires coating her flesh, consuming whatever it was she had expelled and growing larger in turn... but never threatening to burn beyond its boundaries.
...And in the midst of this transformation, something blasted away. It could have been a normal person in a hovercar or it could have been a fighter of considerable might. It was on the edge of her senses, tickling her interest for the briefest of moments... and no longer. The burning, faded Majin rose to her full, impressive height, her eyes flickering back to an icy cold silver, her expression a deep, unfocused frown as she merely stared over the landscape. Hatred radiated off of her much as the demonic flames did, directed at everything... and nothing at the same time. Thought gave way to sensation, pain fading into a cruel normality, her body adjusting to the agony and merely letting it... and the misery it brought, bleed into a new normal. If left undisturbed, Liari would have stood there for hours, perhaps even days as she grew used to this new... her, taking stock of what she was capable of...
...But then, that... THING approached her.
It was the invocation of her name that garnered Liari's attention, her eyes flicking to him as he... began chastising her! At first, confusion flashed across the Majin's face, neither recognizing this man NOR his authority to judge her! Did she know this man...? Did she care? Did he have a RIGHT to think he could even SPEAK to her!? Liari was leaning no towards all of these questions, her massive, gangling form turning threateningly towards the mobster. The thought of killing him crossed her mind before the thought of responding had, a thin, needle-like beam to the heart to watch him bleed out slowly.
It would have been easy... it might've even been FUN watching that confidence drain out with his blood...
"...Who you?" Liari rumbled, her voice low, guttural and harsh, as if the flames on her skin had marred her throat. Her eyes fell upon Derry like three-million-ton weights, as if to kill him with the sheer force of her stare! She found herself wondering why she didn't just... destroy this place. She could feel the need in her veins, the compulsion to rest her hand upon the ground and erase everything beneath. It pulled at her fingers like a second mind, trying to urge her wordlessly to satisfy her hunger for destruction.
...But something equally strange was holding her back... at least for now.
"Who you tell me what to do?"

Zaks saw the trees speed past as she bounced away from that overwhelming threat that sent fear into her core. She had felt its power and it seemed terrifying to the point all Zaks could think of doing was running away for her life. Suddenly she stopped hand held to her chest as she felt her own beating heart beat uncontrollably. Yes she had felt fear worse than anything she had felt yet she had felt something else. “” I felt him for just a second… I felt like I was in my dreams staring up at….I felt power…”” slowly Zaks turned back and looked behind her.
She was afraid and angry at the same time that made her head want to explode. She was running again just like she did on Vegeta when she had fought the True king there and lost pretty badly. The man in her dream was right and she really was unworthy of whatever power was dormant inside of her. “” I won't run away not like this anyway. Lets…see what i feel.`` '' She knew she was talking nonsense and she knew she was acting crazy, possibly going to her certain doom. But she had to find out what that feeling was again and Control it. She found herself turning around and sneaking back through the trees. This time she was listening then trying to see what was around her and approached from the opposite angle she had seen the pink haired human stand on.”” These long and pointy ears are not for nothing…hopefully””
Finally she was just out of eyesight before she stopped and listened in on the two of them talking and wondered how they knew each other. It was obvious to her that the two at one point worked with each other as the man seemed to think she was a reasonable being. But every instinct inside her chest told her to run and this was bad to even be in the area. It caused a fear to spring up inside of herself that also started to make her skin crawl in a way Zaks had never felt before. It was what a predator felt like when they met something that was higher on the food chain then them. It caused Zaks to hold perfectly still and watch coiled like a spring ready to leap away again.
Zaks wondered if the Pink haired man pissed it off and his life was in danger would Zaks help him? He was strong for a human but compared to Zaks at full power he was not much to look at and compared to that beast even wounded Zaks herself was powerless. What was his goal and how was he not so scared of her? All she could do was wait and listen to their conversation. If it turned deadly then Zaks would step in and probably die. But something inside of her needed to fight this creature or be near and conquer her fear.

Khyrop wasn't an idiot, naive about some small things from his years of isolation, but he was no idiot. After the events in the east he had been feeling a sting that turned into a sour impression showing him more than he thought he'd ever need to learn. He had been training making his body stronger than it ever was, but he still needed to assimilate worthy dna to fuel his own metamorphosis. Although he had found worthwile targets he hadn't been able to secure any of them as he still found himself at the whims of much stronger beings, it made him consider taking a new approach. After he had left the city he had taken the time to lick his wounds and make sure he was good enough to handle himself, not to fight, no to run if he would need to. In the end there was only one risky decision he could make that he figured would lead to him getting the strength he needed.
There was only one being who understood the path he was on and had already walked further, the same one whose rage had stopped him before. It was clear to him that to become what he needed he would need to follow the example of the blue terror, even if she was willing to cooperate or not. He had been hanging around Derry's hideout making sure they were protected and that he was around an ally at all times and was aware of when the mobster was leaving. He hadn't followed him, but he did leave soon after going in the same direction as he figured it would be the time for his own tasks. It wasn't until he arrived that he realized they were travelling to the same destination.
"....I guess I can't say I don't feel the same." Was the first comment Khyrop made to himself as he not only saw, but felt the rage the majin was expressing as though it were a pressure pushing on him. He watched, and noticed that there were others already there as he flew in. "Well at least I'm not the onl- wait is that Derry?"
His head swiveled as he saw a familiar face followed by its matching voice, talking to the Majin with confidence and calling her out about the situation without any fear. He wouldn't have been surprised that if at the reminder of the events Liari would've enraged further, but he knew he'd have to wait it out and see how it would go. He knew that he couldn't leave now even if he hadn't been noticed he would have to make sure his remaining allies stayed alive. He would need every one of them for his upcoming plans should this training endeavor work even at a fraction of what he was hoping. His head turned once again and he saw another familiar face, someone he remembered seeing back before his changeling allies had bit the dust.
"Her I was expecting, you not so much, or that one either." He spoke to Derry as he flew in beind him, seeing the situation at hand and knowing there was no sense in hiding he took up a place near his companion. "I hope my presence doesn't ruin whatever you're trying to do here, but I need her for my own reasons."
His head turned towards the raging Majin, he couldn't help but feel a sense of deep respect for her as he knew that she had consumed stronger fighters than him and put in the effort for much longer than he has. He wasn't sure if he needed to stay by her side and hope to gain the right moment, to listen to her, or if that he needed to train with her and test himself until he couldn't be tested any more. Regardless, as he stood there with an emotionless expression he could feel his fur raising as he waited to see how things would go.

WC: 501 | TWC: 1,010 As Derry approached the massive oozaru majin, it was then that he noticed that Liari appeared to be reverting back to her original form and shrink down to the majin he was a bit more familiar with, except for the fact that her pigment was starting to shift as well. The all too familiar dark blue of her skin started to gray out quite significantly, a phenomenon that Derrick wasn't all too familiar with. On top of all of that, even her base form was starting to shift, almost looking like she's malnourished, if that's even a thing for her species. All of this combined greatly confused the boss, making him exceptionally curious as to just what is happening to her, and potentially if it means that she's willing to talk now that she's not so tough now.
Then she spoke. Her voice cut through the air as she asks who Derrick is. Raising an eyebrow in response and looking around himself as if she were speaking to someone else, he turns back and replies, "Uh... Derrick. You know, pink haired guy. We met a few months back, met my kid. You tried blowing up a city a while later, and I was there. You know me, don't ya?" It was certainly a bit bizarre that Liari would ask such a question considering the times that they've interacted, and that it hasn't even been that long since their last incident. She was still burning from those flames earlier, after all. She pipes up once again, and it's clear that despite her much weaker form, the majin has no intentions on taking any sort of orders from Derrick. His eyes narrow at her as he responds, "Suggestions, Liari, suggestions." He'll really need to be quite careful with his choice in words to avoid accidentally angering her. Liari might potentially be weaker, but that doesn't mean that she wouldn't stand as a threat.
At least, not until a more familiar bat arrived at the scene. Khyrop flies over to where both Derry and Liari were situated at, pointing out that he anticipated neither Derry nor the other stranger to be out here. "Well, I just wanted to have a little chat with a... a 'friend,' let's say," he comments as he turns his attention towards his business partner. "But it certainly seems like we have some rather interesting developments over here. I'm sure she wouldn't mind your company. You two seemed to get along just fine back in the city." He couldn't help but chuckle at the little jest he made for a bit before turning his attention back towards the majin. "Not entirely sure what that other lady's deal is in this whole thing, but I know mine. I wanted to have a nice little chat with you after that stunt you pulled in the city, but it seems to me that you aren't exactly yourself at the current moment. Still need a breather or something like that?"

The majin's mind was like that of a storm, turbulent and wild. It was as if the ape had never left her inside, its fingers clawing at her brain in a feral bid for control over the body. She could feel it under her skin, attempting to wrestle the bones to do its dirty work, to get her to rampage, kill and smash with all the sweet, sickening promises of it making her feel better. Liari stared wordlessly at Derry as he proposed making "suggestions" regarding her next conquering attempt, seemingly fancying himself her advisor or... "friend" as he claimed it. Friends... What eve WERE those? Zero and Ryme treated her like a tool. Ayu had disappeared, leaving the Majin alone. Quash was a coward, disappearing after that... "tournament."
Friends... What good were they if they simply disappeared?
...And then the bat-thing appeared, claiming to "need" her. Need...? HE needed HER? The Majin's icy silver eyes flicked to Khyrop, turning her wrathful attention upon the beast. Who was HE to need her for ANYTHING? She had given him a task and he had failed spectacularly... and yet here he was, acting as he she owed HIM something. Liari's wrist twitched, electricity arching over her hands and chest, bounding across her grey-tinted flesh for an instant... before her posture relaxed. ...She could kill them all here... and that was enough. Wasting her power here with that... SUPER SAYAIN flying about, able to pop up at any moment... She would rather keep her presence as reserved as possible... or at least, as reserved as her rage would allow it to be. Derry would then question if Liari needed to, perhaps, cool down after what had happened... and the Majin... simply nodded... waiting for more.
...Was this all Derry had to say to her... or was this merely one of his "suggestions?"
...She hated this... She hated EVERYTHING about this! The way she was being talked down to, having to hear these creatures' concerns and their wants... The resistance! She could have done something... She could have had EVERYTHING. Her power would have been untouchable! She would have been accountable, questionable, and surmountable to no one...
...And yet here she was, burning in a wasteland, fearful that the golden-man would appear beside her when she wasn't yet ready, listening to these... THINGS as they tried to... "help." She needed help... What a revolting reality.
"Speak." Liari demanded, her voice like thunder across the landscape. "If you want say something, say it. Now."

Zaks stayed crouched nearby making sure she was not seen or heard by the two figures she was stalking. Truth be told her heart was hammering in her chest and she was more than a little frightened of being here near such a monster. But something told her to be here inside her core, a voice that seemed to merge with her heart and made her want to keep her heart racing. She actually wanted to fight the monster that stood in the clearing and the thought of beating such a foe seemed…worthy.
Zaks felt a new presence before she heard it enter the area and much like Liari its power easily dwarfed her own though in the grand scheme of things she could actually fight this new power at a massive disadvantage. Once again she suddenly felt the urge to fight this new Contender that entered the area and the urge was making Zaks bear her teeth in Excitement. She never had urges like this until recently at roughly the same time she started to dream of the Titan figure in her dreams.
She tracked the figure as he approached the other two and from what she could hear they all seemed to know each other to some degree. It seemed the other two wanted something from the powerhouse that was in the clearing.”” Wonder what is going on..I think I felt these powers all in the city recently. Went…”” shaking her head she tried not to think about what happened in the east city and focused back on the powers before her.
Taking a deep breath Zaks started to mutter a spell under her breath, each syllable spoken with perfection that was needed to perform even the most basic of spells.”” Von lun ben.”” While she slowly muttered the spell she raised her right hand and drew a small glowing circle in the air before her. The Circle looked much like a mirror in the air that showed a birds eye view of the three figures. Zaks loved this spell as it was practically untraceable by anyone that did not know how to use magic themselves as it converted KI into Magic. To those that could use magic it would just appear as a disk floating in the air but to those who mastered magic they could look back through the very mirror to see Zaks watching them.
She was pretty startled to see one of the figures looked almost like a beast and its power was the second strongest that she could feel. Zaks had years stalking creatures of the Luna shell back on planet vegeta and she knew very well what those large ears on the creatures could do. She slowly started to creep away from the trio trying her hardest not to be heard or her power level felt. The three of them seemed to know each other and while the Majin did not really seem that friendly with he others she did not want to find out first hand if that was really the case.
She moved to a new position that was farther away well past the point that Zaks could hear their conversation and hoped she was far enough away to fool the beast as well. Truthfully Zaks feared it could hear her hammering heart and some primal fear was just beneath Zaks calm facade.

His eyes never shifted off of the Majin, no, even though Khyrop knew if she really wanted to he wouldn't be able to stop her from killing him. The bat had strength but every time he ran into her this other creature had always shown him that there was a bigger fish out there. It frustrated him but it also motivated the Bio-android beyond belief, even under his new calm exterior he couldn't help but keep his focus on her. It might've been caution, jealousy, respect, interest, or whatever you wanted to call it but to him, it was nothing short of an obsession. He thought his hopes of gaining her as an ally might've been diminished with the Saiyans ruining his plan but the fact that he hadn't been killed just yet gave him a small bit of hope.
Derry wasn't a threat either, he was a proven ally with both of them having already gained much from their partnership so he stood in front of him just a little bit so his back was to him and he could be in the way in case things went sour from before. He didn't want that to happen so his mind had already begun running through all the possibilities. He didn't know her well enough though, she was incredibly unpredictable so it he knew each plan didn't have a high degree of confidence.
"..I need to play my cards right." He spoke to himself under a breath as he took a deep inhale, and then took a powerful breath out of his nose before outstretching his arms. One of his eyes would look over at Derry for a second, he would take a moment to speak before he could ask his questions and hopefully not ruin the mood. "I apologize for before."
"I did not expect for the other to come so quickly to save his ally, or for him to leave the battlefield so quickly, I should've been stronger so I could've bat him back to you." He would hold one arm over his chest and bow folding his wings behind him even as he would show deference to her, if just for this moment. "I wasn't though, but I will make it up, I need to make it up."
He wouldn't admit it at this moment but he hated to do this, even during his bow he bit into his lip with one of his fangs, almost drawing his own blood. It might've hurt his pride but it wouldn't hurt as much as she could hurt him if she got mad, and on some levels, he was also mad at himself as he wished he had been strong enough to make the situation different. "I'm sure you want to get that Golden man, and I wanna get her, she's escaped me twice and its quickly turning into a deep and gnawing hunger."
"If you'll let me have the chance, I just need to keep getting stronger, to keep training and eating all those against us." He was ending his comments lifting from his bow before taking another deep breath letting his tension leave with his last comments on the matter. "After all both of them are probably trying to do the same as we speak."
Once he was completely finished he would stand straight up and take a small step back, still slightly in front of Derry but closer to being standing in front of him at this point. It might've looked like he was posing for a photo even, but no he was simply holding himself tall and ready. Even if he didn't believe that he would have a chance if things went sour and so while he hoped his bet would work out he knew he'd have to try and escape if it didn't. His eyes still didn't move, boring down with a neutral indifference he had held all the time waiting for their responses to it all.

WC: 406 | TWC: 1,416 Despite the looks he was getting from Liari, it seems like she was at least willing to hear whatever it might be that Derrick has to say to her, and he certainly has quite a bit to share. Of course he'll just have to choose his words carefully around her still considering all of the unknowns surrounding her. Perhaps this could, in fact, serve an ample opportunity to figure out just what's up with her and, maybe, how to reign her in a bit. His gaze, however, turns over to Khyrop as he approaches and speaks about giving his apologies to Liari about his own failings back in the city. "Mistakes are made by just about everybody, Khyrop. No need to beat yourself up about that sort of thing," Derry chimes in as the bat speaks to Liari, all while eyeing the grayed out majin.
Eventually the bat starts bringing up the potential prospect of training and helping him grow stronger in the hopes of taking on that yellow haired saiyan some day. Derry wasn't entirely into the idea of the whole training idea himself, though it wasn't because he didn't want to. Rather, he was more so concerned about Liari and her sort of state at the current moment. He had doubts about certain aspects of her stability, but perhaps if it comes down to it, Derrick could always just use Khyrop as a meat shield.
"Trainign and sparring and whatnot? Doesn't sound like too bad of an idea now, does it?" He speaks up once more before approaching Liari and starting his little portion of this conversation, "Though I do admit that I have a few... concerns about your well-being, so I'll start with that. You've changed quite a bit since we last spoke months ago, and it made me rather curious as to what might've happened in between. Even now, I'm... I'm not quite sure what's going on with your body at the current moment. Everything alright with you?" He pauses for just a moment to allow her to speak up about her condition, all before continuing, "Whatever may be going on with you right now, I'm certain that Khyrop here or myself could provide a bit of assistance. Making sure you're alright, that's the first thing I wanted to touch up on. I can go on more, but you'd probably get a bit bored by me just babbling."

Liari... was genuinely caught off-guard by the approach both Derrick and Khyrop were taking with her. Perhaps it was because she was in pain, but she was expecting these two to be as short-tempered and USELESS as Liari felt! She assumed they would have chastised her for her failure, call her a mess, and attempt some kind of retribution. Instead, all she received were apologies and expressions of concern. Liari... stared at the pair, both perplexed and confused. Suddenly, the compulsion to burn everything to ash subsided a bit, her posture relaxing. Seeing that someone SEEMED to care about her... didn't make the flames hurt so much... In fact, some of the color appeared to flush back into her face!
"You..." Liari growled, her face contorting as if the words choked her in her throat. "...Couldn't... have done anything..." The majin looked towards Khyrop, her expression, while contorted in a snarl, seemed to be more of pain than outrage. "...You did... what you could..." Khyrop would note that all they would need to do is train and consume to grow stronger, to fight and improve if they were going to defeat the Golden Man. Liari slowly nodded, a small glint of excitement flashing across her sanguine eyes. Derrick would then step up, remarking that he had more than one concern regarding Liari's appearance. After all, she had "changed a lot" since they had last met.
Liari would look down at herself, the flames running up and down her arms, the grey skin that pinned tightly against her "bones." A flash of anger flashed across her mind, the pain of her body burning raking across her thoughts... Liari shook her head and banished such distractions before they took her again.
"...It hurts." She said slowly, as if trying to find the right words. "...Whatever Zerori did to me... it's not going away." Derrick would suggest that Khyrop may have some means of helping her... and the majin shook her head. "If I could heal from... this... I would have. Enough worrying about this, though... I... will beat this... What matters here... is you two."
Liari fixed her gaze on Derrick and Khyrop, flexing her fingers in front of herself!
"...You two need to get stronger. If we are going to destroy all who oppose us and control the rest, we need power. Strength." She glanced at Derrick. "You especially. I believe... we should begin with basic sparring. We will grow strong... It is only a matter of time."

Zaks could do nothing but wait really while she tried to listen in on the groups conversation using her magic. She started a small chant that allowed her to hear the conversation through as well from the figure down below from magic circle that floated above them. She originally had not used this part of the magic for a reason as it made it visible to anyone regardless if they had magic or not and she trying to keep a low profile. As she listened into the conversation she was shocked on what she heard from the trio and was surprised to find that they seemed to be making up or at least coming to an agreement about what to do. There was surprising a lot of information she could gleam from there short conversation and she filed it away for later use but the parts that stuck out to her were important. It seemed the Beast devoured other beings for one reason or another but it sounded particularly obsessed with the target that escaped it twice now it would seem. The other thing that stuck out to her was that Liari was injured from the battle was having a hard time dealing with the flames and Zaks could sense the darkness on them. “” That maybe how I can.. have a conversation with them.”” She thought to herself as she rubbed her chin in debate.
After a few moments she decided what the hell and with a mental command made the Magic circle move down near the trio easily visible for them to see. “” Hello!””Zaks voice came from the circle floating not more than 15 feet from them before it turned sideways and faced them. On the surface on the Magical circle they could see a face looking down at them and for those who got a look at the fleeing figure from before might notice her being the same figure. “” Sorry for eaves dropping but I heard a few things that caught my attention. Such as a golden man and the flames that still burn you now Liari.”” She hesitated as she wondered if this Majin was indeed related to terra and decided to trust her gut feeling”” I might be able to make the flame go away though I can’t be sure as it is always hard to make 100% guesses. But even from here I can tell that it is magic that did that to you and I am a magic user”” More than likely the Majin would heal from the damage eventually one way or another but if she aided her now she might get some information from her. She was dying to know if the power level she sensed before really was Athrens as there was a slight difference in the signature then his old KI but it was so slight that she was willing to bet money it was his. But a golden man? Wait? Golden man could it be that Athren is the legendary super sayian? She needed information and the only way to do that was to take a risk.

WC: 442 | TWC: 1,858 It was still quite clear where Liari stood on Khyrop's efforts after the attack on the city and how they stood rock solid, albeit she did mention that he did what he could. Of course Derrick could tell that just because the bat did what he could, it isn't enough in the majin's eyes. They'll have to resolve that whole issue themselves, but right now Derry was a bit more concerned about Liari's current condition, and the fact that she was still in quite a bit of pain from those flames was still biting into her. However, Liari mentions a familiar name, a name that Derry had known of for quite some time and he's even worked with her for a while as well. Zerori apparently did thi according to the majin, which meant that she was that red armored woman back in the city. Well, the mob boss certainly does learn something new every day.
Of course, he's going to need to keep that information on the down low to avoid getting potentially swatted by Liari for even mentioning some form of relationship between the two of them, and thankfully the conversation was shifting away from speaking about Zerori. Now on the other hand, she turns her attention towards both Khyrop and Derrick, suggesting that the two of of them train in order to grow stronger, more specifically focusing on basic sparring. "Yeah... Probably for the best..." Derry replies, knowing that something basic is pretty much all he can handle given Liari's immense strength. There's no way he'll be able to keep up with her if they went all out, and he doubts that even Khyrop is capable of doing something so rigorous either.
These sorts of thoughts are, however, interrupted by the stranger from earlier, finally bringing herself into the situation and going so far as to offer to help get rid of the flames that still continuously pester the blueberry. "I'm sure she'd take just about anything to make this go away, miss... I, well, I don't believe we've properly met. Regardless, are you quite sure that you're able to handle something like this? I should warn you that the flames that fry Blueberry's flesh are demonic in nature. I hope you're a bit familiar with how demonic magic works, or else things could get a bit of out hand." Should he be so lax as to allow someone like this stranger to try and fix up Liari? Maybe. Maybe not. It's ultimately up to Liari herself, but he has a sneaking suspicion that she's likely going to say yes to having these flames removed.

Khyrop's expression stayed unchanged, he would simply give a nod to the Majin as she gave her comments on the situation. To some, it might've seemed harsh, but to the Bio-android it felt like nothing but a relief as he read it as her letting it go, but making sure to remind him that he was still too weak in a world much larger than he could've anticipated. His eyes scanned over Liari and her condition, he was a scientist but he was unsure what could be causing this for her from the technique. However, as he was pondering he would find himself interrupted as another joined their conversation.
His eyes scanned over them, they looked familiar but he couldn't quite place it at the moment and would instead stare at them with an air of caution. The claims over magic mastery sparked an idea in his head, he had been training his ki and martial prowess but there was a whole other field of study he could push himself into and grow. If he could find away to incorporate it all together with his current DNA, and any future millions of possibilities began to flood his brain.
"Hmm, I suppose you are right on that, we might be looking at this from the wrong perspective, but we should consider all options on removing this blight from her." He would look down and rub his chin with his clawed hands, really getting good use out of them after having gained the extra set when he gained this from. "I don't know any healing, but we could always track down someone who does if needed."
With this comment mentioned he would turn to Derry for a moment, he knew the man was likely trying to survive rather than attempting to reach Liari's level but he saw potential in him. He would walk over and place a hand on his shoulder looking at him in the eye, a much-needed difference from their previous encounters. Khyrop was different slightly, but his new cold visage would drop for a moment as he let a level of comfort take him over. The Bio-android was the stronger of the two, but he would learn from Liari and others and help Derry as he did the same, he had helped him when he first got here and he wouldn't forget that.
"Derry, I know this might seem more chaotic than what you're used to but you've had my back, I don't know how these people will react when they see us next, but regardless I wanna help you get the strength you need for your family." He would then tap his chin before staring off into the distance of this land before turning back. "I can teach you some things you can do with Ki, not just for ranged combat but for close-up too, but we might also need to come up with some new stuff."
