“... Yeah, no - you’re not waiting up for me… Because where I’m going you ain’t gonna be able to follow!... Look, if I SEE you there, I’m going to laugh at you. So don’t ask, just keep a watch on Twilight for me. And don’t feed the bastard after midnight,” With her hand over the input receiver of her helmet and dressed in the dead of night in her armor that she’d mad pains to wear ONLY when she wanted to be known as the Red Doll, Zerori was sat atop the ledge of a rooftop building far after hours of it’s function. In the downtown area of East City where she resided and claimed as her own (unofficially), Zerori wanted to enjoy a stroll through the metropolis before she’d be taking Maycair up on her offer to try and find their mothers in Hell. For better or for worse, after the situation at Kaz-... Liari’s tournament that went south, Zerori knew that if she had any hope of understanding her powers, she needed to know more about them.
"Alright, I'll see you then... Ugh, bye you dumbfuck," Zerori chuckled, ending the call on Korn and resuming her quiet observations over the streets below.
So, at her earliest convenience, Zerori had sent a message to Maycair to her preferred mode of communication and dropped her coordinates for them to meet-up. At first she wasn’t going to show up in her ensemble that was meant to remain secret… but she trusted Maycair, even if they’d only met once before. A sense of familiarity was there and though Zerori was struggling once more with the betrayal of not just a lover leaving her scorned but whom she’d considered a sister promising to kill her - it was one last chance to believe in the words of another.
Upon the roof of the building, Zerori cracked her neck and checked the time on her visor before she brought both her arms up in a massive stretch. “Korn is gonna fuck something up, I just know it…” She muttered, more or less teasing him in secret since she’d left him alone in her apartment plenty of times before this. “Maybe I should have brought Twilight to Athren’s ship, instead?... Pft, no. I bet they’d just have a staring contest and that man wouldn’t know the first thing about what to do when that little shit got hungry,” She laughed to herself, feeling a warmth in her chest as she allowed herself to enjoy the fantasy of such a domestic moment.
One day, she hoped she could enjoy more of these moments… One day.

There was a war in the demon's heart, a sick nostalgia to see home once again. It was good to see Zerori, one of few she saw a kinship in, but returning to hell was bittersweet. She didn't want to face her mother, but the desire to best her at the same time was also something too good to pass up. She had to find the woman, put her in the place she belonged for trying to make May her weapon. Still, fear presided in her heart, when she had faced her father it was the black-out rage of her uncontrolled demon ape form that had managed to overcome it all. While she had gained the memories of what she had done it was different to actually face it, to take action of it against her mother.
Advokate was a ferocious demon, and an even worse mother. Still, with her new found strength, and the help of a friend May had some sort of confidence. Not enough to feel pride in the clothes she wore under her sweats, if she was going to fit in at hell May wanted to look the part. There were those that had always worn similar but those were weaker demons. Beside's, her mom always said she had no sense of style so even if it was permanent it would be funny to see how the cruel woman would react to her new look.
Flying towards the coordinates she had been given May would start to sense the power signature of Zerori. The Ki a demon-saiyan hybrid gave off seemed to be unique. While they were similar, they also radiated differently depending on the individual. It did feel like a cool marker of their condition. Making her way toward Zerori she would raise her voice before getting too close. "It's been quite some time! I've heard rumors of things that have happened on earth. Did you get up to anything interesting, you feel stronger?" May would ponder.
She had her own little adventures, she could only wonder if Zerori had done anything to gain her new power, or if she had dedicated herself a full force to her training. May's weights hid her power, but if the other hybrid sensed her power she would likely notice how the meek May had changed, how confidence was starting to slowly form in the way she carried herself. The demon was looking to grow, to be the woman strong enough to face the shadows of her past. May didn't want to flex her newfound power, she only wanted solidarity in friendship, in the reassurance together they'd accomplish their goals. Who knew what they'd face? May's mom was a danger, Zerori's was missing, and there could be all sorts of danger afoot.
"So, after such a long wait, while we can catch up, are you ready to go hell? I know this is as much a lesson as it is an adventure." Not many were excited about visiting the afterlife, to her, it was just returning to vacation. A lifelong abandoned was now ready to return.

Still enjoying the passing fantasy of a calm life, even if Zerori would always enjoy the rough and tumble danger of her chosen profession, she was broken from her reverie with the call of a familiar voice and turned in their direction to see Maycair floating in the air with a new set of clothes, a power that the hybrid woman could sense was higher the last time she’d met her and confidence that had bound up so high Zerori was wondering if she’d nearly called a stranger to her aid. The smile on her face widened at the question, Zerori standing up from the ledge slowly as she took in the changes, “It has, and holy shit it looks like you’ve also been busy!” The difference between May then and now was like night and day and Zerori was beyond curious to know what she had been up to! Last she’d heard, Mayfair had business on Vegeta. To the mention of the rumors, however…
While her mood wasn’t too dampened at the mention, Zerori did wince just a bit before giving a diverting shrug, “It’s been, uh… busy. The result of said business MIGHT have something to do with my increase in strength,” For good measure (and to possibly distract Maycair) Zerori flexed pointedly while posturing with a grin. She couldn’t sense beyond Maycair current strength since she didn’t even know that she was Weighted up like Zerori was with her suit but she just wasn’t the type to miss out on a chance to showboat.
At the mention of them getting the show on the road, Zerori quickly abandoned her vanity and found herself excitedly clenching her fists at her sides, “For the first time in my life, YEAH! I am fuckin’ READY to go to hell! Hah,” She brought a hand up to her face, laughing, “That will never not be funny to me,” She mumbled in her mirth. “Okay, okay,” Zerori chanted, calming herself down before hopping up into the air to follow Maycair, “Aight, so how we gonna do this?” Zerori would animatedly question, her hands gesturing impatiently, “You want me to just repeat what you do or somethin’? Wait, are there magic words and shit? I mean- pft, even if there isn’t I will ABSOLUTELY just make up some magic words. It’s actually, like, a thing I’ve been workin’ on with my whole theme and stuff,” Zerori gestured to her armor, choosing at that moment to materialize her helmet on her face for effect.
On one hand, she knew that this was probably a really difficult and seriou matter for Maycair and in truth… Zerori was also nervous about just how big this was going to be. She needed to do something to lighten the mood, however and she never did lack a sense of humor. Still, more calmly and sounding a bit vulnerable, Zerori would admit to Maycair, “Sorry, by the way. Just-... Very nervous. Very anxious. I’m not exactly in my element once we get there.”

"Well, still despite whatever is happening it's good to see you've had results. I can feel your strength, with the two of us together I'm sure we should have no trouble making our way through hell. Which is good. as there are all sorts of types that will pop up. More often than not, it'll be someone trying to take advantage of you, swindle, maim or take you through eternal damnation. Now, they may sense your demon aura and ignore you but there are plenty of stupid people crowding in hell." May would explain, offering a fair warning before answering the question she was posed with.
"It's one of the few things my mother actually managed to properly teach me, so I wouldn't need her when I had to leave for my earth training." May would say with a bit of a bitter-sweet chuckle. "The magic itself can be approached many ways, there are not any special words or enchantments to ensure it but words can help memorize feeling, the shape you wish for it to take. The best I can describe creating the portal for myself is sensing the image of hell, and how I remember it. I think as I've reached forward, tearing forth the curtain to just walk through the door." May explained, mimicking the gestures with her hands.
May patted Zerori on the arm, she felt weird being chummy but it felt right to try and offer comfort. Isn't that what friends were supposed to do? "Don't stress too much, I've never been good at fitting in anywhere but strut yourself and back it up no one in hell will be messing with you. You're striking enough, give em a glare, and either they'll want your number or they'll be running in terror." The hybrid tried to be funny, she was sure she wasn't very good at it.
With that aside she would stand firm, facing away as to open the gate. She gathered her Ki slowly, muttering to herself but no real words formed. May remembered better with little tunes she hummed to herself, while doing it the demon dug her hands forward. In the air nothing appeared, until her nails curled back as if grasping a slight purple glowed, a tear ripping into the air as she pried it open, a great hole leading to the netherworld.
A slight smirk would follow as May would say "All aboard, please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle if you wish for it to be free from harpy attacks."

Zerori listened to the warning of what they might face, cocking an interested eyebrow up at the idea of a veritable army potentially wanting to maim or swindle her. The first one she could understand if the denizens of Hell were really so bloodthirsty, but swindle? If dead people actually thought there were things of value to steal off of each other, Zerori wondered if there was anything of value in Hell that she could make off with. While it was an idea to consider, Zerori put that thought to the wayside as Maycair explained her own methods for traveling between the living and dead dimensions. While Zerori was bummed out that it didn’t actually take reciting any hocus pocus, the methodology was almost comforting as it reminded her of the calming guidance she could recall from her mother when she’d taught her what little magic Zerori knew.
“Words to remember feelings. Got it,” Zerori parroted with a nod, throwing her arms forward and backward in an effort to loosen herself up and possibly attempt trying it herself. However, Maycair had given her a pat on the arm in an attempt to reassure Zerori before the mercenary was exhaling through her mouth and physically feeling herself relax. Moments later, seeing Maycair literally peel back the fabric of space and time with her bare hands, Zerori would gape at what lay on the other side of the ‘doorway’ before giving the blue-tinted woman a look of shock and awe. The following snappy response Maycair gave was all Zerori needed to snap her mouth shut with a wry grin and laugh as she took a few confident steps forward, “You’re enjoying this more than you let on, aren’t you?” Before she paused for all but a moment and stepped through.
What she saw beyond what little view the rip had given her was… dizzyingly strange. From her place with one foot stepped through the portal and the other slowly following suit, there were odd structures like mountains of spikes and pools of what she assumed was either red water, blood or even lava. Things were also very very yellow, including the sky which boasted of a plethora of yellow clouds. Lastly there seemed to be trees, which was an oddly normal thing to see in Hell, that littered the area.
Zerori cocked her head curiously at everything before she turned to where Maycair was, likely stepping through her own portal, “Not gonna lie. I was expecting more fire and brimstone and less… wh-whatever this is,” Zerori gestured awkwardly toward the world around her, stuttering a bit from being so out of her element. Still, by the look of what she assumed were inhabitants of Hell approaching them, Zerori and Maycair were soon about to be the lucky recipients to a possible mugging. AND, just like Maycair had suggested, Zerori put on a facade of confidence before turning her body to them completely in preparation for a fight.
Except it… didn’t turn out that way. As what appeared to be two ogre approached, only significantly shorter than the other, a confusing realization that they looked intrigued and excited had Zerori glanced at Maycair with confusion.
“Visitors from the living world, right?!?” The shorter one aske, practically bouncing on his heels “What’s the occasion?!”
... The fuck?

"I'm having just a bit of fun." May would smile as they crossed the barrier. Hell was a strange place, it wasn't like a single biome. It was it's own world after all. Each part of a strange shifting world, with colors and patterns that seemed almost sickly. This confusing world was the place she called home, it probably gave a good reason as to why she was the way she was. In contrast, Earth and Hell both seemed rather queer, space had shown her there was likely an endless expanse of mind-boggling worlds out there. The folks were always the interesting parts about going to new places, it was a shame May made a habit of avoiding them. It looked like this time around people were coming to find them.
"Yeah, Hell is full of the unexpected, I'd throw any idea you have of the place out of the window. There's a good reason you have to stay on your toes down here." The hybrid would say as the pair of demons approached them, even she was curious as to what they'd want. As the strangers began to speak, May realized it was the only thing worse than a mugging. Much worse, the most painful thing to face in the underworld was friendly demons. "Yeah, coming home for a family reunion in a sense, got some people we're really excited to see." She spoke hiding the tinge of sarcasm, she was excited to see her mother, then put an end to her. The little one seemed too antsy, and the taller one seemed to be looking down on Maycair but then again she was barely over five feet so everyone taller than her did that.
"I can't say I remember the last time I had a welcoming party, any special reason you're the area today or did we intrude?" May had to play the probing game. She didn't trust random people, especially any person she shared any kind of blood with. They might be nice sure, but then ten hours later you're drunk, knocked on your ass and out fifty bucks because you made a stupid bet. She already made that mistake on Vegeta, she didn't feel like doing it here too. Friendly demons could be genuine, but the denizens of hell we're known for having strange tastes.
May gave Zerori a small nudge, disguising it as a stretch. They needed to be more careful, ready to dash at a moment's notice. Though maybe for once friends from the motherland would be good for her, still the last friend she had when living her left a bittersweet taste in her mouth. She wondered if he would be around, they weren't that far from her old stomping grounds from the looks of it. In fact, a lot of this was starting to look familiar.

Zerori could tell by the way Maycair kept herself guarded that the idea of a ‘welcoming party’ wasn’t very welcoming at all. Still, her sarcasm as she answered their questions was enough of a clue that they were hardly in any danger - yet. As casually as possible for Maycair, she questioned the two on their motives to approach them and it was the taller one of the two that seemed to get the clue, “O-OH! We’re actually not here to cause trouble! Nope! We’re here to, uh…!” For a moment, the Demons looked to each other for guidance at the same time before they both spoke simultaneously - with opposing answers! “-Give advice!” “-Keep the peace!” And just like that, they looked back at each other with a look of condemnation. SOMEONE forgot the memo and Zerori didn’t think it was possible to witness it applying to both of the Demons.
It was at this moment that Zerori had felt the discrete nudge to her shoulder and gave a soft ‘ugh’ before muttering, “Nah, yeah, hear you loud and clear,” Before she looked at the both of them, “Look, we’re kind of in a hurry so you mind just-... welcoming someone else next time they come along?” It’s not that she wasn’t curious about what they had in mind (she never passed up on a chance to kick some ass… typically) but both her and Maycair were on a mission.
However, it seemed these two didn’t exactly understand the concept of ‘No’ and (as expected) Zerori’s apparent dismissal of their benevolent intentions had their tones changing almost dizzyingly quickly, “Sorry, but this is a-” “-One time offer!” The two completed each other’s sentences - their previous blunder nowhere in sight as they stood up straighter and with more confidence. Oh yeah. Definitely a shake-down. Well, it certainly beat waiting around to see what Hell really was like!
Tossing Maycair a half-assed look of apology, Zerori gave a shrug, “No time like the present to exercise lesson 1, right?” And it was with a powerful but controlled effort that Zerori had allowed her demonic to bleed out in a malicious display as she turned her gaze back to the two. Already, she’d anticipated that they were going to change their tune rather quickly but just in case she needed to ‘put the nail in the coffin’ - Zerori stepped intimidatingly toward the two as her eyes flared dangerously red for a moment. “Consider this a final warning, then. Not. Interested.”
At first, it appeared as if they were going to resist - possibly calling her out on the whims of a bluff? - before the smaller of the two seemed to see some sense and pushed the taller one back. “LOUD AND CLEAR! LOUD AND CLEAR!” Though, while that seemed to douse any desire they had to try and jump them, they hadn’t quite fucked off yet and Zerori crossed both her arms impatiently.
