It was quiet. The sun rose not so long ago, but the sky was grey and the silence was deafening. From under her eyelashes, Ayu was watching the dulled sunrays dancing on the wall above her. Her garden, separated from her by mere bricks, was still thriving, the whispers as rustles of leaves reached her ears. For the first time in a few days, she was home alone - Liari took Terra somewhere for a moment, and the quiet atmosphere was resting heavily on her shoulders. With the lack of chatter and distractions, her thoughts started to drift again towards the most recent matter.
Ayu was resting. There wasn't any other matching word to describe that exactly, but she spend the last couple of days sleeping off the exhaustion that strained her body. Given that she napped for three days straight, much to the concern of some people, she was nowhere near getting back to her daily routine. Her body was weakened... No surprise here, really, she burned through every last energy deposit she had in her. During the episode of panic, when frenzied plants fed too much on her Ki and grew like crazy, attacking everything around her - let's say she was lucky that she was knocked out. If the timing was any bit worse, perhaps it would be harder for her to regain consciousness again. After waking up she found it difficult to stand up and her organism behaved like it was completely devoid of power... Which was true yet ironic, considering that her Ki was still more or less fluctuating, maintaining almost the same - and high - level of energy. A joke that she could sneeze and blow the house wasn't too farfetched right now... For the time being, Ayu was staying at home, trying to recover from the fatigue little by little. Something has happened with both her body and energy in the meantime, changing her. Terra said that she was now taller than she was before, but Ayu couldn't exactly walk to the mirror to check any possible differences. That didn't bother her too much. The power felt less burdening to her physique, which was good, but nothing was solved yet. For sure, it didn't feel like an amalgamation of various types echoing through her Ki - the signature was unified into one, consistent type of energy. Maybe things will finally take a turn for the better?
It all came to her in bits and pieces between sleep and lucidity. Things spiraled down hard and she was lucky that it all ended the way it did... Because judging by how badly her energy went out of control, it wouldn't take much more for things to end in tragedy. There was an ambush of Red Ribbon Army androids. Her grandfather's betrayal... He sided with the Red Ribbon, clearly treating her like a thing that was supposed to be easy to take by force and transported... Somewhere. The fact that no androids survived that ambush sent a message that it won't be a simple matter. What will happen in the future? Zhang was alive but he surely won't be coming home. Not like she felt ready to see his face after everything that has happened. The ambush, and the realization that the androids were there for her and wouldn't hesitate to kill Liari and Calot - triggered a panic attack. And Ayu killed people. The mere memory of that was enough to twist her stomach and hold onto her throat.
She saw people being killed before. It was something she knew she won't ever get used to, but sometimes there was no other choice. Face to face with the enemy, knowing that no reasoning would work and the only way out of the danger was to kill... There were situations like that. When they were mimicking nature, it was easier for her to understand and accept that - because struggling to survive was the most primal instinct any living being possesses. Despite that, Ayu still strongly opposed violence and taking lives. At least when it wasn't needed. And what her powers did... It wasn't a quick and painless death. The roots and vines tore apart flesh and robotic parts of androids, painting the scenery with gore and blood.
It was out of her control. Her plantlife manipulation ability went berserk, there was no way she could have stopped it when she was panicking, fearing for the life of others, and hurt by the obvious betrayal. They said it wasn't her fault... But Ayu felt guilty regardless.
Her memories were still hazy and blurred. Ambush, fight, kill... She clearly remembered that at one point the weighted clothing that was keeping her body grounded snapped off her body, and the energy was set loose. Her whole body felt like it was on fire and at one point there was nothing more but a neverending sea of green. The hopeless sensation of losing control and despite her efforts to stop the mayhem, being useless... Maybe she hadn't got any dreams lately, but she knew that when she was opening her eyes, not remembering the dreams, it was most likely the same scenery again. And over and over again.
With a soundless sigh, Ayu stroked her forehead, her eyes glancing at the window. Her complexion was pale and her braid was a mess, but she still wasn't aware of the fact that her features matured. That she matured. Perhaps the aching mind of hers, still processing the latest events, wasn't ready to point it out to her? Even if not, it wasn't that important. She closed her eyes, listening to the silence.
For now, during this somber morning, Ayu was laying half-asleep on the couch, nested among the blankets and plushies that Terra piled next to her. Steady breathing felt like a chore, but she was doing her best to gather strength. She was weakened, but she won't stay like this forever, right? She can't. The future felt so uncertain... She needed to figure out what was happening to her. Ayu had to learn how to control it, how to live with it, how to... Accept it.
And in the back of her mind, there was already a thought telling her, that she knew what she has to do.

This power… This was something Callion hadn’t sensed in quite some time. Truth be told, ever since his passing at the hands of Liari, he hadn’t kept a general eye on how things might be different in the world around him, not to mention how stronger those he knew may have become over the years. However, this one? It was massive, whoever this familiar energy was pushing out, it was huge and enormous, far beyond his expectation. If anything, it was a mixture of both incredible and terrifying at the same time. The thrill was incredible to him, and like the Saiyan genes that was exploding from the inside, Callion simply had to see who this person was. With his intuition of having learnt to control his ki energy down to an absolute minimal and being able to sense the energy reading of those around him, he decided to go and investigate the power level of that very certain individual, and he wanted answers to as many questions that his Saiyan brain can even remotely muster to himself. Since having been brought to life, a flurry of questions had spun around in his head whilst he flew into the air, whilst keeping his power level down. For starters, who was this person that had such a massive energy reading? Secondly, were they friend or foe? And thirdly, how did they achieve such an immense power level? Who was still alive ever since the changeling’s devious scheme of trying to take over an entire city, alongside Liari? Was she OK? Did she managed to get away from them? These were just a few of the many questions that ran through Callion's mind as he flew towards the source of the energy. He couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as he drew closer. This was a feeling he hadn't experienced in a long time and it was invigorating. He was determined to find answers to his questions and see just who this person was that had such a massive energy reading. As he drew closer, he could feel the energy becoming more intense and he prepared himself for what he might find. But whatever he was expecting, he wasn't prepared for the sight that greeted them. However, as he approached the scene, Callion didn’t expect to witness an old friend, he recognised that 5’2” female, green-skinned, bio-android anywhere, he smiled at the sight of his beloved friend Ayu. Callion slowly landed on the outskits of Ayu’s home, keeping himself hidden in the vegetation for now. He had to think carefully, what was he going to say? How will he be able to start a conversation with her? The last thing he wanted to do was to absolutely terrify her, believing that she must’ve heard of him having died at the hands of Liari. How could he possibly approach her in a careful situation. The Saiyan remained ever so quiet, tapping his chin several times, his long tail rubbing his nose at the same time as he entered a deep thought. “Hmmm… How do I say Hi to Ayu… I can’t exactly go, ‘Hi Ayu! Did you miss me? I died and now I’m back to life! No, no, that’s dumb…” Callion's mind was racing with thoughts and he was having a hard time figuring out the best way to approach Ayu. He didn't want to scare her or cause any distress, but at the same time, he couldn't keep himself hidden from her forever. After a few moments of contemplation, he finally decided that the best course of action would be to simply be straightforward and honest with her. He took a deep breath, stepped out from his hiding place and walked towards Ayu's home. As he approached, he called out to her, "Ayu! It's me, Callion. I know this may be a shock to you, but I'm back." He stood there, waiting for her response, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement at the prospect of seeing his old friend again. Callion took a moment to think for a moment… Was this really the smartest idea he could come up with, just charging head on and just announcing himself so carefreely? Well, truth be told, he didn’t exactly have any other alternative ideas, and the others were even less ideal to this particular situation. Now, even the Saiyan warrior and monk like him was only now just starting to sweat. How exactly was Ayu going to respond to this. Was she going to this that this was some kind of horrible joke and a ploy on her emotional springs, he didn’t exactly know what was going on with her, unaware of the berserk state that she was in previously with her power going completely out of control. If anything, Callion was unaware of just about anything that happened during his death. Well, the call had been made, there was no turning back now. Callion stood there, waiting for Ayu's response. He couldn't help but feel a bit anxious as the moments passed by without a reply. Had he made a mistake by just charging in like this? He started to second-guess himself and the thick air of wanting to just high tail it out of there and get away from the whole situation was becoming all the more pleasing by the minute, but even that was going to look rather distasteful for Ayu. One moment announcing himself to be alive, and at the next minute having left? That was no way for a friend that had returned to the land of the living to behave, let alone a Saiyan of all races across this entire universe. No, he was way too deep in revealing himself as he knocked on her door several times in order to get somewhat of a response from Ayu. “Ayu? You in there? I can probably assume that you may think that this might be some sort of prank, but I can assure you, it’s not… Are you even in here?” Callion asked… Which was also rather silly of him. Sure, he could DEFINITELY sense her immense power level within the house, but he wanted to make sure that was, indeed, absolutely her of all things – whist he could sense it was Ayu, there was that little spark of comedic ‘dad-like’ energy that he still managed to maintain.

At this point, Ayu had a hunch. Not a foreboding feeling but a sensation similar to someone whispering advice right into her ear. As soon as she can, she should go see someone - just... Would it be okay to ask Liari to take her to a meeting with someone she never met? She can't fly, nor go alone on foot there. And it's not like she knows where to go either. Ayu closed her eyes, her face half-buried under the warm blanket. Maybe she should just sleep... Focus on getting better - even if she has been repeating the same statement in her head over and over again. That won't solve anything. Each time Ayu closed her eyes a scene was replying inside her head as if it was burnt on her eyelids. The sky before the dawn, blood on the grass, and despair and fear. A shiver ran through her spine. She had to get better and gain control over her energy. She had to. What happened a few days ago was a nightmare that will haunt her until the end of her life. Killing people. Hurting her family. How could she look Liari in the face after she almost split her in two? She didn't mean it, she didn't want to harm her yet her energy went out of control and frenzied plants were attacking everything around her. No doubt that she was away from home so often lately. It would be alright if she started to resent Ayu for that...
Her heavy heart and equally leaden head were putting her into a half-asleep state those days. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad trying to drift away to sleep now. Only then she could get some rest, praying that it will return strength back to her body, banishing the pressure of Ki cooking another migraine. She sighed. And hoped. And in this lethargic state, she didn't even realize that someone was approaching her home. The dulled senses weren't so keen on picking up unexpected guests. A knocking sound shot as piercing as an arrow. That took her completely by surprise and Ayu blinked startled by the noise. There was a voice too... And a presence? The girl lifted her head a little, trying to sense who was outside - and she froze with her eyes wide open and a knot in her stomach. The realization...
Callion..?
There was a moment of silence in the house - and then a dull sound was heard inside - in this stillness, it felt akin to an explosion. Why? Ayu slipped from her nest on the sofa, taking with her all the blankets, pillows and plushies piled around her. She was about to stand up, so shocked and confused by the energy she felt outside, that she forgot that she shouldn't move. This tired body of hers was still aching and fragile... It ended with Ayu trying to lift herself to sit but ultimately she failed and disgracefully slipped from the sofa onto the ground. A tiny mumbled gasp was swallowed by the rustling of fabric. The young woman landed with her back on the floor, entangled in a blanket, a pillow on her face and legs above her head. Not her... Brightest moment. Ayu sighed, closing her eyes when an uncomfortable sensation of aching hit her head again. A small and nonlethal fall was enough to make her dizzy and the weakness in her body reminded her painfully that she wasn't the best person to greet anyone in front of her house. Or move an inch from her resting spot. There was a soft murmur of her voice when she tried to get up but failed, instead barely turning on her side. Ugh. Her fluctuating energy was hurting her body, yet being so weak and helpless was like a knife to her heart. And she was wondering why she couldn't do anything about her state? That... She felt her hands tremble. Ayu wiped her eyes with a sleeve when she started to notice tears gathering under her eyelids.
"I-It's open...," she finally answered the call with a weak, shaking voice, though trying to speak loud enough for Callion to hear. If she wasn't so devoid of strength she might have felt embarrassed by her fall, even if a faint, abashed blush tinted her cheeks. Ayu lifted herself on one elbow, trying to sit and rest her back against the sofa on the floor. The energy rose again... After three a bit too long and too deep breaths, her eyes closed. "A mess..." Ayu said apologetically under her breath, running her fingers through the hair, lots of loose green locks found their way out of the messy braid. It was hard to tell if she was referring to herself or the pillows laying within ten feet radius of the sofa. Because she was looking down, perhaps it wasn't visible that her eyes were tearing up. Among this mess, she was standing out like a sore thumb, a messy, weak girl that was trying her best to hold in the overwhelming energy and emotions inside. All this time she couldn't raise her eyes at the silhouette in orange clothing. Her gaze would run away in an abstract fear that if she'd look at Callion, there be someone else standing by the door.
"S-Sorry... I fell from t-the sofa," she chuckled weakly, trying to smile again while apologizing. Not a very good smokescreen, because her shivering hands were screaming that she was troubled. Why was Callion here? Why now? How was he alive again? He... He should leave soon, nothing good would come out of staying too long in her presence. She had to tell him that... The Ki calmed down again, though probably not for long. Ayu found herself playing with her fidgeting fingers, her head resting against the side of the sofa. An uneasy heartbeat was starting to fill her ears. What should she do? A tear fell and landed on her hand - she couldn't be afraid any longer, could she? "Ah, s-sorry," she mumbled while wiping her eyes.
It took her a moment - a very long moment to break and finally lift her head when there wasn't anything else to distract herself with.
And now she was looking at the Saiyan, gaze locked at the tall profile, not hiding away her both pale and bewildered face.
Callion. It was really him.
"Thank g-goodness..." Ayu's voice whispered with gratefulness and relief. There was sincere happiness in her eyes albeit drowning in confusion. She couldn't doubt it even before when she sensed familiar energy but right now - seeing him alive and well, like no time has passed between their last meeting, Ayu felt hot tears in her eyes. Callion was alive, he really was here. It was illogical - who wouldn't be perplexed at seeing the dead come to life? - but just having proof like that was relieving enough. "I'm so glad y-you're alright..." she hid her face in her hands trying to clumsily get rid of the tears that didn't want to stop. If only she would be strong enough - she would run there and hug him... But now she could only sob with relief, bashfully smiling through tears.

Callion looked at the crying Ayu, one of the first few people that the Saiyan made contact with whilst on this planet and sit not a word. he saw the tears that trinkled down the green-skinned Bio Androids eyes and let out a gentle sigh. Goodness knows just how much she had gone through whilst he was dead, how long he was away whilst she had to deal with practically everything else. It was honestly heartbreaking to see Ayu in such a manner. Callion sighed once more, "Ayu, what's wrong? Please, talk to me." He said in a soft and comforting tone, extending his hand to wipe away her tears. He wanted to be there for her and help ease her pain in any way he could. Callion took the moment to enter her home, seeing the state that her humble abode was in, and he didn’t mind that at the moment – his entire focus – was on her. The Saiyan warrior decided to move his body onward and walking towards her. He placed a hand on her shoulder and looked into her eyes, "Ayu, I'm here now. I'm back, and I won't leave you again. I promise. I am sorry for having left you and the others."
The Saiyan warriors’ hands were gentle to the Ayu’s cheeks. The guilt of having died to the hands of Liari, only to now come back alive infront of her was honestly quick the terrible move that he assumed at the back of his head, but he pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the present moment. He knew that Ayu needed him now more than ever, and he was not going to let her down. "I am here to help in any way I can, to make up for my absence and to support you through whatever you may be going through." He said, his voice full of sincerity and companionship of all things, rather unique and rare for a Saiyan. Though naturally, he didn’t go over the top with such affections, but he kept his attitude relatively calm in the hopes he was able to ease the pain that Ayu may have gone through the ordeal. "So, Ayu... You erm... You got a nice house and place to live in." Callion attempted to change the subject to a more comedic and livelier outlook, in the hopes to raise her spirits, he decided to come up with his ever-classical puns to make her smile. "So, what do you call a green-skinned Bio Android who lives in a clean and tidy house? A-yu-tiful!" He chuckled at his own joke, hoping it would bring a smile to her face. Callion then walked around her home, admiring the decorations and small details she put in, "Honestly, Ayu, you have a great taste in decorating. I love the way you've set up your home, it's very inviting." He said, giving her a compliment to brighten her mood even more. The Saiyan warrior then sat down next to her and gave her a warm smile, "Please, Ayu, tell me what's been bothering you. I am here to listen and help." He said, showing her that he truly cared and wanted to be there for her. He hoped that with his words and actions, Ayu would feel comfortable enough to open up to him and let out all her worries and fears. Callion was determined to be there for her, no matter what, and he was not going to let her down again. The Saiyan knew that he couldn’t exactly keep on trying to avoid the discussion, he decided to ask Ayu some of the more important questions. “No doubt you and some of the other learnt from my passing at the hands of Liari. I am actually curious and counting on you to tell me what happened since that day… What has been going on? What were you up to? I respectfully ask to know as much as possible. Since, well, you know being dead and all, I missed a lot.” Callion said, with a hint of sadness in his voice as he remembered the day of his death. But he pushed those feelings aside and focused on the present, hoping to learn about all the things that he had missed and how Ayu and the others had been coping during that time. He wanted to know what she had gone through and how he could help her through it all. He promised himself that he would never leave her side again, and that he would always be there to support her in any way that he could. "This, I can understand being a rather... Poor choice and time from my part in wanting to know as much information as possible, especially having only just appeared to you like this, I completely understand Ayu. However, even I could see Liari's rampage... So please Ayu, it is important that I know what has happened since then. I want to be able to help in any way I can, and I can't do that if I am not aware of the situation." Callion's voice was filled with concern and genuine care for Ayu. He didn't want to add to her stress or worries, but he needed to know what had happened and how he could help. "I won't force you to talk about it if it's too painful for you, but I am here to listen if you want to. I won't judge you or make you feel worse. I just want to be here for you and help in any way I can." The Saiyan warrior's words were filled with kindness and compassion, and he hoped that Ayu would feel comforted by his presence. Though he decided to add one more little light note question. "Also, while we are on the subject of learning what has happened... I just want to know at JUST HOW IN THE NAME OF THIS PLANET DID YOU GET THIS POWERFUL!? I MEAN FOR KAMI'S SAKE, I COULD FEEL YOUR POWERLEVEL FROM THE OTHERSIDE OF THE PLANET!? HOW DID YOU ACHIEVE SUCH POWER?" Callion's eyes were filled with amazement as he looked at Ayu. He had never seen such power in a being before, and he was curious as to how she had achieved such strength. "I understand if you don't want to discuss it, but if you do, I would love to hear about it. I have always been interested in strength and power, and I believe that there is always room for improvement. I believe that by sharing knowledge and experiences, we can become stronger and better warriors." The Saiyan's words were filled with genuine interest and a thirst for knowledge. He hoped that Ayu would be willing to share her story and help him in his own journey to become stronger.

There were dozens of questions that Ayu wished to ask Callion. It wasn't an everyday event to see a dead person come back to the mortal world and visit their friends. How? Why? Was that even possible? It sounded like a bittersweet fantasy born out of grief over a loss of a loved one came to life. Yet... Nothing could deny that she saw the warrior in person. Ayu could sense his calm Ki and she felt the warmth of his hand that gently wiped tears from her face. It was real, there was no longer any apprehension that the person in front of her was just a trick of the light or an illusion made by her weakened mind. The day when she was able to sense his demise - alongside other lives - was one of the memories she couldn't forget, a somber dance of tears, worry, and guilt. Some of those feelings now were burning out, her heart filling instead with relief and gratitude... Oh, she wasn't able to put that into words. The tears running down her face were tears of happiness, of gladness. And then the quiet realization started sinking in - that now she was the one reassured by his words and presence but the first thing that Callion saw was her aching and weakened self. That surely wasn't the picture he wished to see upon miraculously coming back. Most likely there were so many, many other things he needed to do or catch up on... Why add another trouble to already piling up worries? And he was kind enough to be concerned about her too... Feeling guilt creeping in and a nervous knot in her stomach, she lowered her head a little.
"Ah, i-it's..." Ayu's flustered face turned pale and then dark pink with a blush. Her gaze couldn't focus on anything in particular but she joined her hands together on her lap. She didn't want to show anything that could worry Callion more... Though her uneven, raising-and-falling energy of hers, not to mention her disheveled appearance, wasn't leaving much for the imagination. Now the rosy color on her cheeks turned deeper in a wave of shame. "I'll g-get better in no time..." she said in a soft tone trying to sound confident, lightly squeezing Callion's hand with her own. Her fingers for once didn't tremble but the weak grip was telling enough. "I t-think," she murmured a second later and she slowly shook her head. No. She didn't have the right to burden him more, right? Callion was already feeling guilty because he was away. It wasn't his choice to die and leave this world, yet the sense of duty remained. Ayu needed to find a solution on her own - yet listening to his honest offers to help she didn't know what to say. Was keeping everything to herself a selfish decision? Or will it be more egoistical to share the worries that have been keeping her awake at night?
As if he felt that the mood was getting heavier, Callion started looking around her tiny house and loudly praising the interior. Ayu followed his gaze that was skimming over bundles of dried herbs, handmade - albeit not so skilfully - embroidery, fresh flowers in pots, and thick tomes about flora on the bookshelf. It was heartwarming that Saiyan was trying to cheer her up for her sake and Ayu couldn't help but laugh shortly yet softly. Even his sense of humor didn't change which brought, surprisingly, even more comfort. Though, as not to make her forget that he was here for her, Callion asked about information, assuring her that he will aid her in any way he can. Truth be told, Ayu wasn't one to check the news every morning and she wasn't leaving her house so often those days - only to train in the woods. What she sensed was another story. But before that, there was something else to say. Something that she strongly wished the black-haired warrior would listen to... Because she knew that the person in question might not admit that if she saw Callion alive again.
"That day I s-sensed your energy d-disappearing," she spoke after a moment of silence, her yellow eyes filling with pensive light. How is she going to tell him about Liari? That she has been living here with the one that took his life so unfairly..? Anyway, Ayu wasn't planning on lying or hiding the truth - about her little blue-skinned sister that is. "Y-You know Callion, I first met Liari before that happened. She w-was a cute little girl. And I know that it might sound like I'm simply m-making excuses in-in her stead..." Ayu wiped the tears building up in the corner of her eyes. The scene from the past started playing in front of her eyes again. All the emotions replayed themselves in her head and she couldn't help but sigh slowly, putting her arms around herself to hide that she started trembling, overwhelmed with feelings. "After y-you died she came to me," her soft voice started to crack. "... And she cried." With closed eyes, Ayu raised her head a bit while taking a deep, slow breath. "B-Back then-" she stuttered while trying to collect her words that didn't quite match what she wanted to express - but the feelings painted on her face were enough. "Back then she w-was still a child, easily manipulated by those two. I will a-always regret t-that I w-wasn't there for her, maybe things would have turned o-out differently..." Curling her hands into trembling fists was the only display of hopelessness that she felt. "Liari has nightmares. Haunting v-visions that cause her pain. Every night. Her child-self w-was promised that t-they will fix that for her. Changelings lied and she w-was desperate, t-that's why she did what they wa-wanted."
It was a painful thought. Actually, this very memory was making her feel more helpless and hopeless. Ayu couldn't help Liari back then, the only consolation or comfort she could give after the deed was done. And a few days ago? She was the one that impaled her little sister with a root, almost splitting her body in half. Maybe she wasn't doing so great as an older sister. Maybe she should tell Callion to leave before something like that happens again. "I-I wasn't there," Ayu slowly opened her eyes. Tilting her head, her gaze moved to look at the warrior. She couldn't begin to wonder how would Callion react to her tale and she wouldn't be surprised if he'd be dubious or even opposing her words. Some things could be forgiven and forgotten, but others could not. "I'm just so g-glad you're alive..." There was a sense of guilt painted in her eyes. "I don't know w-what exactly h-happened, so I understand that you might not believe m-me nor forgive her and I am not asking you to..." She opened her mouth to say something more but no sound came out. All she knew was that Liari's innocence was taken advantage of and she did horrible things because of that. Bluebell changed but Ayu still believed that there was a child inside her, lost and hurting. A child that she wasn't able to protect despite her hopes. The woman raised her eyebrows and her lips trembled, with all the feelings she had, she soundlessly whispered. "I just don't w-want Liari to be hated..." before she hid her face in her arms.
There was no clear answer to why it all happened. Fate was twisted and unkind to some while merciful to others. Though there was no real time to ponder more about that. She said what she wanted and what Callion will decide, how would he feel about his own murder case, that was all up to him. Whatever it will be, Ayu will accept it - but it felt a bit better knowing that he was now aware of all the cards behind what happened back then. Yes, that's for sure... Though why he raised his voice just now? A-Ah. That startled her a little and she smiled apologetically when she jumped in place. Right, Ayu continued to have problems with accurately sensing her Ki but she knew that she was strong. Ever since her weights snapped into pieces during her meltdown there was nothing to keep her fluctuating energy in check so it was all over the place. And the warrior was asking how she achieved this - it felt bad to say that her energy kept on growing on her own. Through knowledge and experience... Training? Seeing Callion so excited at first made Ayu confused but then she understood. Power. Right. She shouldn't be surprised that he mentioned that. The power was a blessing for Saiyans, a proud, warrior race - but a curse to her. She didn't want that. What's good about being strong when you cannot use your own might? Let alone control it...
"It's s-scary," she murmured, widening her eyes a little - she spoke before she realized she opened her mouth. And like a charm, Callion has found another hurting spot that Ayu wouldn't dare to talk about, out of fear of burdening others. But at this point was there anything to hide? Her energy was a mess, her body was aching all over and she needed help. Maybe because she was able to confess everything she wanted to say about Liari, her own issues, pushed aside not to bother anyone, were now starting to show their true colors. More pained tears started to roll down her cheeks. Yes, she was powerful - but it caused her only misery so far. Ayu smiled sadly through tears. "My energy keeps on growing and it h-hurts..." Now she was trembling like a leaf. In some abstract need to explain herself, she brushed aside her hair and looked down at her hand, words coming out of her mouth before her mind could register what she was speaking about. It couldn't be helped. Her heart was pouring out and she couldn't stop the flow. "I-I tried everything to keep it under c-control, I d-did, I swear.. I was exercising, m-meditating, still, I can't hold that Ki in, if I'm not careful p-plants go crazy attacking everything around, and I-I-"
She stopped to catch a raspy breath. It looked like Ayu shrunk in size right there while sitting on the floor, under crushing pressure that she couldn't deal with. The heartbeat in her ears has become louder and she could feel her pulse growing faster.
"... I killed people."
She couldn't look Callion in the eyes anymore. Ayu admitted her greatest sin with a small, blank voice as if the shock from that event was still present in her mind. Because it was. Yet right after saying that she started shivering even more, a panic raising inside her chest, and incoming anxiety started to take over. She grabbed her head, tears falling on her lap, sobbing quietly.
"I-I hurt Liari and Calot," she cried, pained by the fact that she harmed others so much that her whole core was aching. "I t-tried to stop, I really did but m-my energy wouldn't listen, t-there were p-plants e-everywhere and I w-was scared and they attacked us but the plants b-burst from th-the soldiers and killed them, I d-didn't want to do that, I didn't w-want that-"
Her arms were shaking spasmodically. Ayu curled into a ball to weep her heart out, for the first time since she reached her breaking point in the Wastelands allowing herself to cry like that.

"Please Ayu, take slow, calming breaths," the Saiyan warrior spoke with a solemn tone as he listened to Ayu share her story. "I understand that seeing me again is a lot to take in, and I'm sorry if my appearance has caused you any distress. Please know that it's not your fault that I'm back, and you have nothing to feel guilty about." Callion's eyes then shifted to the room around him, taking in the sights and sounds of Ayu's home. "This is a lovely home you have, Ayu," he said, his voice now softer and more comforting. "I can see that you've been taking good care of yourself, despite everything that has happened."
When Ayu brought up Liari, Callion's expression darkened. He knew that Ayu had been close to the blue-skinned girl before his death, and he was curious to hear more about her. "I'm sorry to hear that Liari is still suffering," Callion said, his voice laced with concern. "I wish I could have been there for her, but I'm glad that you were. You did everything you could for her, and you should be proud of that." Callion then looked directly at Ayu, his eyes filled with a fierce determination. "But we can't let her suffer anymore. We need to find a way to help her, no matter what it takes. I may not have been able to protect her in the past, but I won't let her suffer alone now. We'll find a way to give her the peace she deserves." With those words, Callion offered Ayu his support and guidance, promising to help in any way that he could. Though he was once dead, he was now back, and he was ready to face any challenge that came his way.
The Saiyan continued to listen to her story and tale, remaining ever quiet when the Bio-Android talked and explained the situation from her view point. "Hey Ayu," Callion said, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "It's okay. I understand." His voice was calm and reassuring, and it was clear that he meant it. He hopped it was enough for Ayu to feel a weight lifted off her chest, he wanted to see that smile that she had in her position during the first time the two met all those ages ago between the two of them. "I know you wouldn't make excuses for her," he said. "You have a good heart, Ayu. I'm not angry with you, and I'm not angry with her."
The Saiyan answered, hopping to at least embrace her in a hug, gently petting her head for a moment in peace. “Honestly, I am glad to see you once more, though I understand that my return is a shock to you. You seem to be struggling even with everything that’s happened, and your words and actions betray your feelings. There is no need to hide your pain from me, Ayu. I am here to help in any way that I can.”
Callion continued on, “I see that you are in a difficult situation with Liari. It is not your fault that you were not able to be there for her. You were dealing with your own struggles, and you could not have known what would happen. I understand that you feel guilt, but you must forgive yourself. It is not too late to help Liari. You can be there for her now.” Callion spoke softly, trying calm her down, especially with the notion that Ayu, of all people, killed people by her own hands and growing power that was within her. The Saiyan took a short, deep breath in and slowly exhaled. “I am here to help you both in any way that I can. I know that you have questions, and I will answer them to the best of my ability. It is important that you both understand what happened, and why it happened. Only then can you begin to heal.”
Callion was having a troubled time with this. He knew he had to be very careful with his words, with Ayu’s suffering, the tale of Liari after she had killed him. This was a very delicate grey subject, with no underlining black or white outcome to all of this. The Saiyan took a deep breath and sighed, deciding to do what was necessary and got to the heart of the subject at hand with Ayu, moving over towards her couch, and helping her sit down to have his friend be more comfortable.
“I really wish, things never came to this… If only things were under different circumstances." The Saiyan warrior's voice was gentle and reassuring, as he took in the sight of his friend. He could sense her emotional turmoil and physical weakness, and he felt a pang of regret that he had not been there to protect her.
As Ayu began to speak, Callion listened intently, his expression growing more serious. He could feel the weight of her words, and the pain in her heart. The words that she used to talk about Liari, the one who had taken his life, Callion's eyes narrowed slightly. He knew that Ayu was not one to make excuses, and it was from that moment he decided to truly trust her judgment. "I understand," he said, his voice low and steady. "Liari was young, and easily influenced. It is not your fault that you were not there to protect her. You cannot blame yourself for the actions of others."
He paused for a moment, gathering his thoughts. "As for her nightmares and visions, I will do what I can to help. Perhaps I can find a way to ease her suffering." Callion placed a hand on Ayu's shoulder, his expression softening. "You have been through much, my friend. But know that you are not alone. I will do everything in my power to help you, and to protect those you care for." He gave her a small, encouraging smile. "We Saiyans may be a fierce and proud people, but we are also loyal and protective of our friends. You have my word."
Callion then turned for a more serious look on his face. "In regards to you killing people..." Callion continued, "I understand that it was not your intention to take lives, Ayu. But the fact remains that it happened, and you must learn to live with that. The weight of that responsibility will always be with you, but it's important to remember that you can also use your abilities to protect and save lives. It's all about finding a balance and using your powers for good."
He paused for a moment before continuing. "But more importantly, you need to forgive yourself. Holding onto guilt and shame will only drag you down and prevent you from moving forward. It's not an easy process, but it's necessary for healing and growth. And remember that you are not alone in this. You have friends and loved ones who care about you and will support you through this journey." Callion looked at Ayu with a soft expression, his eyes filled with understanding and compassion. "I believe in you, Ayu. You have a kind heart and a strong spirit. You will overcome this and find your way forward."
Callion gently embraced Ayu in a hug, he could see her arms shaking spasmodically. He kept her close and closed his eyes, letting her feel the Saiyan's warmth and slow beating heart.
"You have to let go..."

The funny thing about guilt was that it wasn't too eager to pass on its own. She knew it too well and hearing now a calm voice talking about the situation that happened felt a little... Odd and yet so comforting. The Saiyan was by her side, with his black mane of long hair and calm gaze - just as she remembered from their first encounter. And so much time has passed, so many things have happened that they were talking about... It would be hard not to get upset. But Callion was composed and serious, not getting flooded by his feelings but not devoid of them either. Not once did his words feel cold when he talked about past struggles. He didn't get angry when speaking about how he faced Liari or when he mentioned regretting being away. He had every right to be. It wasn't his fault, though the only thing he drew from the past was a determination to move forward... That was something to admire but she had no right words to admit that.
"You w-were very brave to join the fight i-in West City," Ayu spoke with a delicate, worn out from tears voice. Her trembling lips formed a little smile that she honestly hoped was looking as genuine as she meant those words. Saiyan did what she couldn't. Maybe he wasn't able to save Liari and met a tragic end, yet he still had done more than her. And she will be forever grateful for that... The hopelessness she felt back then could repeat any day and Ayu wasn't ready for it. With her power seeping out and Liari going everywhere on her own her movements were heavily limited... There wasn't much for her to do if she won't get better. The green fingers intertwined to make sure she won't anxiously play with them again... But Ayu lowered her face. Do, yes, there was something she needed to do - her heart became heavier with the weight of the world.
As if he'd felt her spirit about to get discouraged again, Ayu felt a warm pat on her shoulder. The reassurance that Callion didn't bear any anger or irritation towards the two of them made her tear up. He didn't have to, and yet... The gratitude was holding onto her throat. She couldn't help but avoid the warrior's gaze, trying not to be too obvious that she was unsuccessfully holding back tears. Sensing also sadness creeping in and tears stubbornly holding onto her eyelashes, Ayu could only nod. She was afraid that if she'd try to speak now her voice will break and she won't be able to stop herself from weeping.
Good heart. What's about a good heart if it can't help those she wanted to..? Ayu couldn't call herself a good person, she didn't feel the need or right to do so - she only wanted people to live the life they picked for themselves. Yet, they should live without hurting others or using them for their own gains... But that was only her wishful hope. Life wasn't fair, she knew that already, and still tried to hold onto some hope that tomorrow will be better. Maybe her tilted head and pensive, averting eyes made Callion feel uneasy because she didn't expect him to mention again his sudden appearance. It was the truth that she got distracted a little by her thoughts, but... He said that his sight might have shocked Ayu as if he was guilty of not warning her about his arrival. She flinched and turned her head to shake it in an obvious display of denial. It was surprising, alright, but it wasn't unpleasant. The... The opposite, in fact.
"I-I'm...," she could feel the features of her face softening, her voice cracking so much she wasn't sure she could speak up properly. "I-I'm so glad t-to see you again," she said shyly, trying to comfort him too. Ayu lightly squeezed Callion's hand, feeling a gentle pat on her hair and for a moment she allowed herself to close her eyes. It felt nice... She didn't know why or how he got back to the mortal plane but she couldn't be happier about it - if only the circumstances of their meeting were a little different... Yes, Ayu was in pain. He saw right through her but that wasn't challenging. Being an open book was something she could never control, her emotions were always on her sleeve. Sadness, pain, shyness, or glee were visible to anyone who was looking. That was why it was even more distressing when the situation called for composure or self-control... She wasn't good with that and there was a faint sense of shame that Saiyan was seeing her disheveled and weakened state. Ayu wasn't in the best condition after all. Barely could sit or stand on her own, her body damaged by improperly working Ki... Refusing his help when he took her hand and helped her back onto the couch was out of the question. Ayu was aware that she would cause more trouble by trying to stubbornly do everything on her own and maybe that was it... Resting her back on the pillow she sighed a little.
When she was trying to think about it again, Ayu didn't know how to help Liari anymore. Her words and actions weren't enough, there wasn't anything she could do about the nightmares that were hunting Bluebell to this day... Maybe a hand was all she needed. She couldn't help her sister on her own nor she could heal herself and try to fight with the future with this broken body. Ayu hated the thought of troubling others. Of selfishly asking for their aid, burdening them with something they had no responsibility for. Yet that wasn't the right way of thinking, was it..? A truly selfish and inconsiderate act would be to push away an offer to help and such understanding... She wasn't used to hearing that. Her shoulders trembled under the warm touch when Ayu was silently stopping herself from crying. Being called family and friend was always warming her heart... Callion gave his word and she knew, she felt that he meant it. Everything he said was honest. He was going to help and she couldn't thank him enough - even if she was unable to open her mouth. Ayu could only nod and so she nodded trying to quickly wipe the tears that were gathering in the corners of her pale eyes. Despite everything she started to feel a little better. If she could show all the gratitude and how touched she was... The Saiyan didn't know how glad she was to see him being here, by her side, though speaking was out of the question. To say anything now would mean that Ayu will break down in heavy tears... Though her eyes were as expressive as always.
A shiver danced down and up her spine when she heard Callion referring to what she has said before. To something really personal... Killing people. Ayu gently rubbed her arms, the cold chill lowered the temperature around her - or was it just her imagination? The more she tried to forget it the more painful it got - yet it wasn't a thing that was worth forgetting. She could feel her hands clenching into trembling fists. That was a lesson, a hard and bitter lesson... Yet there was something else that surprised her more - though at this point wasn't it a given? There was no contempt or suffocating pity in the warrior's response. He wasn't blaming her either. This level-headedness and calmness Callion had was something worth being jealous of. He simply stated what should be done, and what she should do with it... Showing nothing but compassion, never asking about details. Ayu was gazing at him cautiously though the eyes focused on the black-haired warrior were full of unspoken appreciation. She wouldn't mind telling him all about what has happened anyway but Ayu took this approach as a sign of trust. Maybe that's why it hurt even more - her heart could break all over again if she would be despised by Callion. And the look he gave her now was making her heart light and heavy at the same time...
Hope. It sounded like he was making sure that her spirit won't give up now. That it was okay to take offered help... And ask for help.
Ayu didn't oppose when he pulled her closer for an embrace. There was no strength to do so... Yet, just for a moment, her trembling arms tensed. She flinched lightly, curling her hands but besides a deep slow breath, she didn't react. It's not like the touch wasn't comforting - she didn't have the time or the right state of mind to get abashed as she would normally do. Callion's warmth was welcoming enough... Her cheek was pressed against his chest, and tears silently rolled down, soaking into the orange fabric of his clothes. Let go. A slow, steady beat of his heart was rather felt than heard. She should let it go, he was right. Let go of that heavy anchor but remember everything that put the burden on her mind, to make sure it won't happen again. R-Right. But as she thought about it, the scenes she witnessed and created back then were appearing in front of her eyes, but... It felt good to be held. Even if in the back of her head she felt shame for taking Callion's time and troubling him with everything that was in her heart, that guilt started to fade. Slowly, shyly, she had to admit that it started to turn into a genuine relief, a welcomed moment of comfort.
And when that feeling started to grow, she irrationally took a while to fight with it - because it was like another flood. Her eyesight was blurring from the excess of tears and the tension disappeared. Maybe that was when the dam broke down... Ayu felt so painfully small and frail, softly melting into a warrior's embrace with shaking breath. Even when she was trying to stay strong and brave, despite everything - her powers and abilities - she was weak. So weak. In the end, people died and there was nothing she could do about it... Except accepting that and trying everything she can to use it to grow. To do better. To be better. But now? Now all the overwhelming emotions were pouring out, taking her along with the current. The cup of struggle was filled to the brim and the sense of comfort she was granted by an understanding soul was the last drop before tears started overflowing. She was so thankful he was here... Ayu hid her face in Callion's warm shoulder, silently weeping. Her arms shook so badly while she was crying her heart out... She didn't even realize when her fingers clutched onto the warrior's shirt, holding onto him with a trembling grip. It felt like if she'd let go now, all the words he said or maybe even Callion himself were going to vanish... So she stayed like this.
Trembling. Quietly crying. Letting it out.
Letting it go.

"I was brave, and I was also very foolish." Callion spoke to Ayu, closing his eyes as he remembered fighting for his life in West City against Majin Liari. "When the City was under attack, and after my fellow Saiyan and partner Kombu died, I was all on my own. I should've retreated and regrouped with other fighters, but instead, I let my emotions get the best of me and charged into battle recklessly. It was foolish of me to think that I could take on such a powerful opponent on my own." The Saiyan sighed, closing his eyes. “I fought her with every inch of what I had on me, and it was not enough against her. I know I am not strong enough, I am at peace with that, but I should’ve done better… And so, it cost me my life.” Callion sighed with a saddened heart, even though he had returned to life, it was the matter of pride that still stung. "But it was a lesson learned. I will never again let my emotions cloud my judgment in battle. I will retreat if needed and regroup with other fighters to come up with a better plan. I may not be the strongest warrior out there, but I will be smart and strategic in my fights."
Then Callion saw her crying, and even he could feel the heavy heart of having caused such pain to Ayu. It honestly was a pain that even he wouldn’t dread of causing, and yet, his passing done this to Ayu. It was far too much, even for a Saiyan to bear. "I'm sorry, Ayu. I didn't mean to cause you pain. I know my death must have been hard on you and I'm sorry for that."
He paused, looking at her with a sad expression. "But please, don't cry for me. I may have died once, but I've been given another chance at life. And I promise you, I won't waste it. I will use this opportunity to become stronger and protect those who are important to me." Callion took Ayu's hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I may have been foolish in the past, but I won't let my mistakes define me. I will learn from them and become a better warrior. And I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me for any pain that I've caused you."
Callion apologised with a soft tone in his voice, as though he meant every word he said. He wanted Ayu to see the sincerity in his eyes, and whether it made her heart ache even more, the Saiyan truly wanted her to know that he was telling her, of all people, the truth of his side of the story to the Bio-android. She knew that Callion had always been brave, and it was that bravery that had led to his downfall. But hearing him speak about his mistakes and how he planned to learn from them and become a better warrior, made Ayu proud of him. Callion closed his eyes and continued to embrace her, as it was only when he felt her crying in his arms, with Ayu broken down into tears that he left out a quiet sigh. Did he really caused her this much trouble, was there this much emotional tension and hardship since his passing since he died? Who knows what else could be in store for other people that knew him and learnt of his passing. "Ayu... Please... Don't cry." He whispered, pulling her closer to him. "I'm here now, and I won't leave you again. I promise." Callion held Ayu tightly, wanting to comfort her in any way he could. "I know I can't change the past, but I can make a better future. And that future includes you, Ayu. You're important to me, and I'll do anything to protect you." He stroked her hair gently, trying to calm her down. "You don't have to be strong all the time, Ayu. It's okay to cry and let it out. I'm here for you, and I always will be."
"Ayu... You are unbelievably strong. Far stronger than you know, and I am not just talking about your power level." Callion spoke softly as he allowed Ayu to cry as he continued to embrace her quietly. He continued to hold her, to what he felt like it was eternity, as his mind began to go back to the days the two met, back where she was training on her own in the Bamboo Forest and Callion met her as she was hanging upside down. Truly, those were funnier, simpler days. "I remember when we first met, Ayu. You were hanging upside down, and I couldn't help but be intrigued by you." Callion smiled as he thought about the memory. "You were training on your own, and even though you were struggling, you never gave up. That's when I knew that you were a fighter, someone who wouldn't back down from a challenge."
Callion paused, looking at Ayu with a soft expression. "And now, here we are. We've both faced so many challenges and come out stronger for it. We may have stumbled along the way, but we never gave up. And that's what makes us strong, Ayu. Our ability to keep going, no matter what." He took a deep breath and looked out towards the horizon. "I know that there will be more challenges in our future, Ayu. But I want you to know that I will always be by your side. Together, we can face anything."
Silence drawn out for Callion holding Ayu in his arms, all the while his mind was playing the scenes before he died. But now it was Liari before she become the monster that she is today. Back then, she was so small, innocent and carefree of the world around her. How did it all comes down to this... Was it truly at the hands of Zero and Ryme; the changeling brothers that did this to her? Were they responsible for turning her into the monster that she had become? Callion knew that he would have to find out, no matter what the cost. But then he looked back within himself... Sure, his training methods were rather hard on Liari... But back then, he was a dedicated monk, a time where he truly focused on the spiritual aspect of the training. Liari back then had the mindset of a child, and while he did have some area's of success in training her, he understood that there were moments where he was harsh on her... The scenes where he was a brute in his own way, made him shudder with regret.
He knew that he couldn't change the past, but he could make a difference in the future. And that meant finding out the truth about what happened to Liari and ensuring that justice was served. Though the very idea of Liari having nightmares was completely new to him. If anything, Liari never told him about her experiencing nightmares before... Why didn't she tell him? Had Callion knew that the majin was experiencing nightmares, he could've been able to help her, but instead, all of this happened and was now beyond past the point of apology. He opened his eyes and let out a quiet huff from his mouth, truly, even he, a Saiyan warrior had his regrets and flaws.
Then, as he looked down at Ayu in his arms, he knew that he had to stay strong and focused on the present. "We'll get through this, Ayu. We'll find out the truth and ensure that justice is served. And no matter what happens, I'll always be here for you." Callion spoke with determination in his voice, and he gently pulled away from the embrace, looking into Ayu's eyes. “Now, let’s go get some fresh air, hmm? I don’t know about you, but I feel like a slow walk, or maybe even a slow flying session outside in the warmth of the daylight does wonders for the mind.” Callion suggested with a grin, deciding to slowly stand up and even attempted to carry Ayu up, lifting the bio-android into his arms like a princess if she allowed it, of course. If such a thing was possible, Callion proceeded to make his way out the door with Ayu in his arms and make his way out the door and into the outside, taking in a deep breath of the fresh air with a smile. The Saiyan always did enjoy the bounty of nature, and all things she provided to him.
As he walked, he couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and tranquillity wash over him, and he hoped that Ayu could feel it too. As they walked, he took in the sights and sounds around them, enjoying the feel of the sun on his skin and the wind in his hair. He couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment, for Ayu's company and for the chance to be alive and experience all that life had to offer. It was a reminder to him that life was precious and that they should make the most of it while they could. He looked down at Ayu and smiled, hoping that she too was able to find some peace and comfort in this moment.
"Mother Nature... She is truly wonderful, not just in this world, but in all worlds. The spark of life, nature, and all things that gives the purpose and meaning of existing does have it's positive sides." Callion spoke aloud, his Saiyan eyes drinking in the sights. The Saiyan race are not to be warriors, conquerors and destroyers of worlds. However, Callion was raised different; the Monks of the Planet Bhupal brought him up from a baby in learning the ways of peace, balance and discipline. But even so, the natural world had always spoken to him in a way that nothing else could. "The natural world reminds us to slow down, to take a breath, to remember what truly matters in life." He continued as he walked, taking in the sights and sounds of the world around him.
Callion closed his eyes, and remembered those early years of his life learning under the Master and Grandmaster of the Temple of that remote, cold, mountainous world. He ended up chuckling aloud. His Saiyan youth was... Well... A Violent one to say the least, always causing trouble for the students and teachers alike, his Saiyan instincts at the time were still very much in control. But then, as he grew older and began to understand the teachings of the Monks, he started to appreciate the natural world around him in a way that he never thought possible. And now, he couldn't imagine a life without it. Opening his eyes again, he looked down at Ayu in his arms, a soft smile on his face. "You, in a way, I should thank you, Ayu. For reminding me of the importance of taking a breath and enjoying the beauty of the world around us. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our struggles and battles that we forget to appreciate the simple things in life." He said softly, his voice carrying a sense of gratitude and sincerity.
The two of them continued their slow walk, taking in the sights and sounds of the world around them. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, casting a warm glow over everything. The trees swayed gently in the breeze, their leaves rustling softly. Birds chirped and sang in the distance, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. Callion felt a sense of calm wash over him, and he knew that it was exactly what he needed in that moment. It wasn't often that he took the time to slow down and enjoy the natural world, but he knew that he would make an effort to do so more often. And with Ayu by his side, he knew that it would be even more enjoyable.
The Saiyan closed his eyes and smirked. "Ayu. Make sure you hold on tightly now..." Callion warned her softly, as he began to feel his ki spread throughout his whole body and soon enough he slowly began to levitate upwards into the air. He felt his ki flowing freely and naturally, the wind and air circulating around him, his long, spiky lion like mane of a hair began to flutter in the ki generated wind, slowly taking off into the sky, making sure he was well aware that he still had Ayu in his arms and had to be greatly responsible for that charge.
Callion felt the warmth of the sun even more on his skin, rising high into the sky, where as though he walked amongst the clouds. Such a scenery as it was, at least in his eyes, was breathtaking. He turned to Ayu and smiled, "This is the beauty of flight, Ayu. It's the feeling of freedom, and being able to soar above the world below us. It's truly something that words cannot describe." Callion nodded, as he continued on with his speech "Yes, this is truly beauty at its finest, with the ability that I believe anyone is capable of possessing with enough training. It's a part of who we are, and it's something we should never take for granted." As they flew higher, Callion looked out at the horizon, the vast expanse of the world below them. "It's easy to forget how small we are in the grand scheme of things. But in a way, that's what makes life so precious. We may be small, but we have the power to make a difference, to create change, and to impact the lives of others."
The gift of flying, was a breath-taking sight to behold. The endless expanse of the blue sky, the white fluffy clouds, and the warm sun on his skin all filled him with a sense of wonder and awe. "Do you see it, Ayu? This is what it means to be free, to feel the wind in your hair, to soar above the world without any restraints." Callion said to her with a smile, his eyes filled with a sense of joy and wonder.
As they soared higher and higher, Callion hoped that Ayu's grip on him loosen a little, as if he wanted her to start feeling more comfortable with the idea of flying. "You're doing great, Ayu. Just relax and enjoy the ride." He reassured her, keeping a firm hold on her as they continued to fly through the sky. The wind and air currents shifted around them, and Callion could feel the thrill of the flight coursing through his veins. For a moment, Callion felt as though he was invincible, that nothing could touch him or harm him. But he knew that was not true, that there were always dangers lurking around the corner. As they flew, he made a mental note to stay vigilant and aware of their surroundings, to make sure they stayed safe on their journey.
“But I think it’s time, I decide to allow the lady to choose our flight for this afternoon, no?” Callion grinned, looking into Ayu’s eyes with his own. “So tell me, my lady…” Callion asked softly… Seductively, and slowly. “Where do you wish to go? The whole world is your oyster for this afternoon. Anywhere you want, from somewhere important, serious, or just for fun. Your wish for today is my command.” Callion spoke a playful glint in his eyes, eager to see where Ayu would take them on their adventure.

It seems that the words were too heavy for them both. Though when Ayu couldn't bring herself to speak, Callion was the one honestly conveying his thoughts. And the West City... She remembered how terrified she was to sense fading lives. To her everything he did that day needed a brave heart and a strong resolve... Things she felt deep down she lacked. Yet it all stirred different emotions in the warrior's mind. There was sadness and regret, some calmness, but it still was heartbreaking to hear. Callion's tale was straightforward and reasonable to a fault and there were no words that she could think of to comfort him. And she knew that words simply won't be enough. It was a matter that she didn't understand fully and maybe she ever won't - it was the warrior's pride and sense of duty that followed it, maybe even the faith that came with the discipline a monk lived with. Values and beliefs, fulfillment. Losing was a part of life - yet it didn't mean it won't leave a mark. The Saiyan paid enough already... And the only thing Callion wanted to do was to protect the people who were so unfairly attacked, to help Liari who was being manipulated by others.
She simply slipped her hand in his to hold onto. It wasn't much. Without a voice and with overflowing tears that was the only right thing to try and soothe this sadness a little...
Maybe. Something held onto her heart when she heard him apologizing, and right after a sense of guilt started to grow... That her tears were showing a little too much. It grabbed her chest with a tight, painful grip though it didn't stop Callion to close her in a reassuring embrace. Was he aware of the weight of his own words..? To protect. To stay. To held. To be there... That sounded so warm and her heart was growing but she couldn't help but worry about the pressure that would come with everything he said. If she were to burden anyone again... Ayu closed her eyes trying to keep the tears from flowing. And yet, she wanted to trust Callion. Would that be bad..? To once in a while confide and depend on someone instead of trying too hard to be strong on her own? The tears she shed weren't only there for one reason - Ayu could finally cry out all the pain that her energy was inflicting on her body. Gently weep out the worry about Liari, Terra, about all the people she has met... Mourn all who have died. The sadness that would awake in the moment of loneliness reminded her that a friend wasn't there anymore. To this moment she wasn't aware that she missed him as much... And if Callion wouldn't be here, the honest, relieved tears that greeted his arrival wouldn't lead to this - she would be still holding everything inside. She would still hold it until she'd break.
"T-There's nothing that needs forgiving," she whispered softly, hiding her face in his warm shoulder. It wasn't his fault... It wasn't. It took some time but Ayu's breathing slowed down and her grip on his clothes eased. The tears stopped falling, instead idly sitting in the corners of her eyes, and with a bashful gesture, she tried to wipe those marks out of her face. The gentle heartbeat next to her cheek was calming enough and the crying tired her so... She had to blink more than twice to focus on Callion's voice again. He didn't notice that, did he..? She brushed her cheek with the palm of her hand, listening to Saiyan mention their meeting in the forest. Their first encounter... Ayu got caught up by the growing bamboo and ended up hanging upside down from the tree - that was quite awkward. Her lips curled into a light smile and she nodded. They were walking two different paths for some time now, there were storms and roadblocks but they did make it through because they reached this point. And so they met again. He was right. And now- Ah? The next part made her more quiet than usual and a pink blush started to tint the tips of Ayu's pointy ears.
She remained silent. Both because she couldn't gather her voice to speak up and the tears wore her out but also a familiar yet so different heat was warming up her cheeks. Like it was the most normal thing Callion suggested a walk and picked her up, carrying her while they walked out through the door. Ayu... Couldn't exactly oppose him when she had no strength like that, quietly laying in his arms. It was a while since she had some fresh air too but she couldn't say anything - that warm grin made her somewhat shy. She wasn't used to being c-carried too and she started to feel bashful. Maybe even bit more than bashful. There was nothing to hide behind so before she knew it Ayu's finger wrapped around some of her hair and she pressed the green locks against her lips, covering the lower part of her face. It didn't make the growing pink blush go away. If anything it might have made things worse... She was immensely grateful to her core for everything he said, for every little comfort and reassurance he gave her. Callion made sure that Ayu was aware that he meant every word... Just why it resonated so strongly with her?
The air was pleasant... Her head was resting against the warrior's shoulder. Behind them, blades of grass started to slowly grow taller and for once her fluctuating Ki remained stable for a long moment. The area behind Ayu's house was thick and dense with greenery and the sun from above painted everything with a mosaic of light and shade. The place was peaceful. It brought a sense of calmness and a soft smile appeared on her face too when she breathed deeply, closing her eyes for a brief moment. Her bond with nature was a little different from others but despite everything, she wouldn't have it any other way. Back then it was her fault that her energy was raging... Not the plants themselves. It wasn't that hard to understand. Even that uneasiness will fade away with time... Because nature was healing. So focused she was on the life surrounding her that Callion's words caught her off guard. He thanked her out of the blue and Ayu blinked looking at him all puzzled. But... She didn't do or say anything..? Before she could really ponder what he meant by that, with a smirk Saiyan warned her to get ready.
And then his energy rose. Ayu shivered in slight surprise, holding onto Callion's chest. She was flying before but not... Not like this. If they needed to go anywhere Liari would carry Ayu there so they could deal with whatever they had to do - it was a matter of usefulness. But this was different. She could sense the flared aura gently gathering around them, messing with her already half-undone braid and clothes. Callion was rising to the sky slowly. From that height, the world seemed... Bigger and smaller at the same time. The border of sunlight and shade, the clouds scattered through the sky, the ribbons of rivers hiding between vividly green hills. There was no need to hold on so cautiously. Right. It was alright... The world was wide enough and Ayu could only wonder if she would ever be able to see it all. Simplicity could give such pleasure. For a second she turned to Callion and her head wasn't able to turn away. Saiyan's sharp features were softened by calmness and awe, his eyes gazing at the view with genuine wonder and serenity. That was an expression she hasn't seen before... When he asked if she too see this amazing sight Ayu blinked, blushed, realized that she was staring, and shifted her gaze away from his face. She nodded with embarrassingly red cheeks vainly hoping that the color will fade soon.
It didn't. There was no chance this dark pink hue would leave her face because Callion was acting... A little different from usual. Feeling how much her face burned Ayu was close to hiding it behind her hands. She couldn't look him in the eyes when he was talking like that. It's not like she didn't want to - but she couldn't, afraid that she won't again be able to say anything at all. The pink color painted her emotions all over her cheeks, too openly showing that she wasn't used to that. Her heart was beating too fast and irrationally it didn't feel bad. Though one thing was certain - Callion was too close...
But those feelings should be sorted at different times. There was something she had to do. Ayu desperately needed to make a choice - and it wasn't only about how should they spend this afternoon.
One breath. Two breaths. Three breaths.
"There is a-a place I need to go," she finally spoke up with a resolve echoing within her soft voice. Avoiding making decisions won't do her or anyone else any good. Her energy could be at its limit again soon. And if she stays like this any longer... Ayu needed to get better for everyone's sake. Spending the day flying together would be pleasant and perhaps just what she needed - nonetheless to stand on her two feet she had to meet the Guardian of Earth. "Please, Callion," she looked up to see his face and gave Saiyan a calm smile. Ayu placed her faith in him. "Please, help me reach the temple in the sky."
