It was raining. The gentle pitter-patter softly enveloped the area, muffling the sounds of the woods. Every creature present was looking for shelter. The forest was soaked in water and the soothing sounds of drops falling to the ground. Everything sounded like nature's lullaby. The air was mellow and scented with fresh vegetation and soil... A lonely silhouette was making its way through the wet bushes, with careful steps on the slippery grass and roots. Ayu pulled the hood over her head while she was trying to get to the ship without getting soaked, but all her clothes became wet as soon as she stepped into the forest already. She knew better than anyone to stay home during this weather, did she not? But a certain idea kept her awake and she needed to try it out. Immediately. Brushing against damp shrubs and ferns wasn't in today's plans, but so be it... Hopefully, she won't catch a cold in this weather. Navigating between the bushes as tall as her, Ayu finally reached the cave and hid behind the curtain of vines, walking inside. Ah, she was so soaked... The young woman shivered, twisting her braid in her hands to squeeze the rainwater out of it. Each of her steps was creating a tiny puddle. Brrr.
The Namekian spaceship hidden in the cave remained unchanged like nothing ever happened... It was always there to help her train and stop her Ki's violent outbursts when she needed it. Maybe it wasn't much, but Ayu found comfort in knowing that there is a place she can hide... But at the same time, she dreaded the thought that the Gravity Chamber wouldn't be able to stop her energy from running out of control. What would come of her then..? What would happen with everything around her?
Shaking her head to get rid of grim thoughts, Ayu entered the ship, taking a long while to fix her appearance. It will be messed up again during training, but she couldn't just leave it like that... Wringing out her coat she placed it on the seat in front of the control desk, and she decided to take off her shoes. They were soaked, and the soles were basically swimming in water. She needs a new pair... And it won't hurt to run around barefoot, right? It was warm enough even in damp clothing, and her training outfit and weights weren't hurt by the water of course. The inside of the ships remained the same, quiet, spacey, and perfect for some time dedicated to self-reflecting. Ayu shook her head, trying to prepare herself for another session of training - but this time she did not want to train muscles... Wait, no, that sounded kinda bad, she never intended to train to be physically stronger. Her mind needed to be bettered and sharpened, so she could perform the very thing that she wanted to work on... For that, she required clear thoughts and top-notch concentration. Taking a deep breath, Ayu turned on the Gravitron and waited for the pressure to kick in.
Having been lately coming into contact with injured people a lot, Ayu was wondering if there was anything else she could do. Studying books and herbs could only take her that far... And she soaked like a sponge every little bit of information she could put her hands on. Thing was, that patching up wounds was easily stopping injuries from bleeding - that was the rule, right? Wrapped in clean cloth yarrow was good enough to use as a bandage, and in some cases, even the dried-out moss would work if nothing else was on hand. Ointments Ayu made could lessen the pain and help with recovery, but... What about the things that were hurting a body from the inside? Of course, she did not mean the illnesses or diseases. Those could be cured with time, depending on the circumstances of course, but there were things foreign to the body. Like poisons or toxins? Sure, having certain plants at hand she could whip up a potion to neutralize the venom of a snake or help with food poisoning, after learning what the patient ate. But there were chemical substances so potent and dangerous, that there would be no time for an interview or finding the right herb. And Ayu was already aware that she had a very specific type of Ki, that was in a way synchronized with the flora of this universe. If her deduction was correct, what if she'd try altering her energy in this way... It worked when she created the barrier, so why not now? Would giving her Ki cleansing properties be possible or not? It better be.
Because she was going to check if she can do it. Maybe she shouldn't mention to Liari that she was going to learn how to cleanse her body from toxins, first poisoning herself...
The pressure hit her hard, bringing Ayu to her knees. She clenched her teeth, feeling how the force pushes her against the ground once again. She won't ever get used to that sensation, will she..? It felt like everything was pushed and pulled at once, her muscles tensed, her bones cracked, and high gravity squeezed the breath out of her lungs as if she was a pet's squeaky toy. A cold shiver danced on the spine and teased her mind. Every time she used this Chamber, she had this unpleasant feeling tying her stomach into a knot - but there was no other way. Getting stronger was never her priority, but being strong enough to make a difference was enough to motivate her to help others. And that was what Ayu wished to do so deeply, that she was going to withstand this hellish training.
"... Every time," she mumbled to herself, rising from the ground sooner than ever before - but she did not notice that right away - and rubbing the back of her head. Alright. Ayu's fingertips lit with soft light and a plant was formed by her energy, twisting, growing, and showing off beautiful, dark green leaves. Dangerous leaves - a poison ivy was presenting itself on the ship's floor.
It was time to train.

Training was in order now. Ayu easily enhanced the plant with her Ki, making it stronger than the pressuring gravity - so she could practice her idea in peace. For a short while, she was admiring the poison ivy in silence... Notched leaves growing in threes, tiny hair on the vines. It didn't look dangerous at all, but so were many other beings in nature. Sometimes being ordinary was saving lives... Or tricking others into thinking that something was harmless when one touch could cause a lot of pain. Let's think. What did Ayu know about poison, toxin, or venom? That every herb could be either a medicine or a deadly substance. It all depended on the dosage and the preparation. Looking at the plant she sighed with difficulty - because the gravity was pushing on her body once again, making it harder to move... Though not as hard as before. The young woman stroked her chin, lost in reflections. How would it be possible to make her Ki a cleansing one? What should she do, and how should change it? All toxins were based on certain chemicals and Ayu was, indeed, a specialist when it came to botany. She could easily alter any plant to create any type of secretion... That was actually scary. All the medicine and poisons... She shook her head. The only way to find out would be to practice, so she should get to that right away.
Ayu sat on the floor tucking her legs under her body and took a deep breath... With the tip of her finger, she guided the leaf of poison ivy closer to her other hand and without hesitation placed it on her skin. For a short, while nothing had happened - and abruptly there was a sharp sensation of burning needles piercing the palm of her hand. Right, how could she forget, it was an allergenic plant. The leaves were a little wrinkled, dots of translucent sap shined there like a deadly dew. It contained urushiol, a chemical substance known for causing painful skin rash on contact. A very small dose of poison... If Ayu would by any chance take a jump into a bathtub filled with this sap, she wouldn't be able to get out before passing out and dying from the allergic reaction. She put the leaf away, carefully, with a pained frown, looking at her hand. A red swelling appeared, in two spots blisters started to form, pale and filled with pus. The tissue of her hand, at least the first layers of it, was affected by the poison of poison ivy. Now it was the time for purifying her body from toxins - that is, trying to.
Her fingertips lit again with a gentle glow, and the lines and dots on Ayu's face followed soon after. She softly touched the damaged skin and started pouring her Ki there, slowly, using a tiny amount at first. It was her body after all, and she knew that she needed to be careful with her energy. The young woman couldn't allow herself for any slips or moments of losing concentration. How to cleanse the toxin in her body... Energy and poison did not seem like something that could mix - but her energy was chaotic enough, why not try anyway? Ayu closed her eyes, feeling how the strayed raindrops were dripping from her chin - or was it sweat? She was focusing on the quantity of her Ki, trying to make it pure, so it could neutralize the poison she put in her hand. Urichol was eating away at her skin, creating more swelling and other blisters, so the pain was trying to distract her, but Ayu only clenched her teeth. It needed to be done.
With another deep breath and her heartbeat racing in her ears, Ayu tried to manipulate her energy. Her pale-colored Ki with golden hue and sparks akin to glittering dust. How to make energy clear and pure enough to have it neutralize poison... Devoid it of feelings? No, no, that wasn't right. Emotions were giving Ayu strength. So far she learned how to make it denser and thinner, and how to control the size and the flow... Wait, no, she did not master the ability to alter the natural flow of Ki. Every living being was made of energy, in one way or another, and the Ki inside them was flowing in a certain order. If it wasn't they were in pain, sick or injured or something else wasn't right. The same thing was happening with her hand - poison was messing with the natural flow of the Ki, causing this reaction. She just needed to make it right... Ayu sighed. The more she tried to manipulate it, the more it was difficult to do, so maybe that wasn't that... The young woman relaxed completely. Let her thoughts wander and energy calm down as much as it was possible. Her Ki had to enter her body and purify it on its own. Her hand again glowed with gold when she placed it above the swelling rash and... It followed the natural flow on its own binding and searching through the living tissue for foreign substances. And when it did... The pain was gone. For real. Her eyes widened in wonder and a smile bloomed on her face, a sense of relief washed over her soul.
Right! She... She did it? Ayu stretched her palm and softly clenched her fist to open it again. Her natural regeneration kicked in and healed the damaged skin, but she was never able to remove the toxin before without the help of ointments. Usually, it lingered there, itching and irritating her powder green skin. Many times she visited the forest and had unpleasant encounters with poisonous plants... Seems that she was right after all. Her energy could purify the toxin out of her body - and probably from others too. Looking at how the swelling was fading away and blisters were disappearing one by one, Ayu sighed with contentment. That was one thing learned, but she needed to polish this ability more. Who knows when it would come in handy?

Soon enough the rashes and swelling were gone, leaving her skin intact. She stroked the palm of her hand, the smooth, soft outer layer of her body... The mysterious skill it was. Ayu did not know who she should be thanking for this ability, but she gladly welcomed it at times like this. Probably that's why she never had any scarring or marks on her body, and clumsy as she was, little accidents were happening to her all the time. That was it though - the poison was gone and the damage was healed by her body's regenerative factor. The young woman felt physically well like nothing ever happened to her. The mild poisoning was neutralized and she had the ability in her to be able to purify poison out of her system. But... What next? Ayu pondered, sudden doubts appearing in her head. Lately, she was full of doubts and any action she took was greeted by a reaction of her own suspicion towards her judgment. Was it only her? Was it only a drop of allergenic sap of poison ivy that she could neutralize? What about a bigger quantity? Right. She shivered and looked back at the plant growing in front of her. She was here to train and train she will.
Ayu pulled out her left sleeve above her elbow, looking at the greenish forearm. Her complexion was something others were curious or distrustful about, but living with it so long, she did not mind at all this cream, powder green coloration. It was her thing. But it was going to turn into swollen, dark rose and almost red swelling skin... Ugh. Ayu shivered and frantically shook her head. There was no other way to train this technique. Sure, she could have brought an animal that ate something poisonous, but that was cruelty she was never able to commit... Why would she even do that, to begin with? The sole thought made her nauseous. Looking around the forest for a creature that nibbled on nightshade or was bitten by a snake wasn't an option either. And a volunteer? Ayu dreaded it. If she'd poison someone on purpose to practice if she could purify toxins out of their organism, that would be highly unreasonable... And she would never be able to bring herself to harm another person. What if her idea was only an idea, and she wouldn't be able to perform this cleansing technique? She could have very well endangered the life of someone who trusted her. No, she could only train using her own body like that. There was no other option, that was something Ayu was adamant about.
That's why without second thoughts she wrapped her whole forearm and her hand with poisonous ivy. The tendrils and leaves delicately covered her skin, producing translucent sap that was sticking to her skin like glue. It was a matter of seconds to feel the itching, irritating pain that started to grow and grow. Ayu clenched her lips to muffle a groan. The burning feeling on her skin wasn't welcomed, but she was stubborn - she was training using herself as a practice dummy. Softly the plants moved away and Ayu frowned while looking at her arm. It was adorned- No, that was not the right word. It was covered with thick swelling spots, flaming red, and blisters as big as pennies. Maybe that was too much... The young woman brushed aside her bangs, pressing the back of her hand to her forehead - it was suspiciously hot. Right, she might have overdone this attempt... But that was only training in difficult conditions.
Ayu carefully placed her other hand on her forearm, warming up the Ki that fluctuated softly. She muttered to herself something and started pouring her energy into the affected by the poison area. Never force the energy, it won't work that way... The young woman only had to influence it and let it follow the natural flow. It was enveloping her body from the inside, searching for any impurities and harmful substances and neutralizing the damaging reagent. Sounded simple at first, but it didn't work that way, at least not exactly. This type of energy needed to be paler than her regular pale gold Ki. It was absorbing the poison but only because Ayu was focusing on that... What would have happened if she would stop trying? Her Ki mixed with the energy of another living being - would it be harmful? She wasn't sure it could damage anyone, but she needed to keep her focus and her hand steady. The light grew stronger on the palm of her hand. Energy moved on its own, but Ayu had to constantly back it up, concentrating on the thing she wanted to get out of her system. Poison... Hmm, it should work with harmful energy too, but there were no chances to try it out right now. So far so good, she needed to figure it out one step at a time. Soon enough the numbing sensation of burning muscles started to fade inside her forearm. Ayu stretched her fingers. She felt warmth emitted from the palm of her hand, that washed through her body with tiny waves of cleansing energy. The tips of her fingers were becoming hot as the Purifying technique started working more and more effectively... Until she felt that everything was now alright. The poison weakened her too, but everything was alright when it was gone. She sighed and rubbed her sweated temples, glancing at her forearm. The red rash was fading away, with no side effects anywhere... Great. That was enough of this type of practice.
Ayu was tired. With a gentle flick of her fingers, she made the poison ivy plant retreat into a seed and felt how the pressure was pulling her back to the ground. The young woman flopped on the floor with her limbs stretched, looking at the lamps on the ceiling. Gravity wasn't going to let her forget about itself, so Ayu breathed quietly... It wasn't the right place for a nap, so she only rested her eyes for a moment before she'd continue the training.
