Post by Ayu on Jul 15, 2022 15:00:40 GMT -5
Some time has passed. Life continued. Adjusting to the new state of things wasn't as hard as Ayu initially thought, but some things proved challenging... And some did not, much to her comfort. With Zhang gone and the two of them at home, the atmosphere in a tiny house became brighter and warmer. Like a missing piece that has fallen in place - the presence of someone dear - everything now made sense. And it was so heartwarming to know that after picking herbs in the mountains someone was waiting for her at home. Though frankly, Ayu had to fix the roof once or twice, adding an alcove made of soft plants for Liari, so she could comfortably relax there without worrying about the ceiling. There were some trials and errors. Figuring how to live together, how to take care of the house - choosing what to do with bills and the chores was a part of their effort. And well... There was this decision to take things into their hands.
That was the idea. To train. Between everything that has happened so far, Liari's cravings for fights and Ayu's untamed Ki, a session to polish one's skill was in order. Her repertoire of techniques was quite a modest one and she couldn't control her energy to utilize her abilities properly in the first place... Shortly - it was a disaster. It was always like that - Ayu was getting emotional and her Ki was leaking out, soaking into anything related to the plants in fifteen feet radius and then causing it to overgrow. This issue badly needed to be dealt with. That, and perhaps after admitting to Liari that she was hopeless when it came to fighting or even defending herself, she kind of stirred something up. And by something, she meant her little sister's determination for them to train together. It's not like it was a bad idea - after all, having someone watching a practice could help better their skills. They could spot the mistakes that were invisible to the eye of the performer, and offer advice and support... But the difference in their power seemed so great Ayu wasn't sure she was able to be Liari's decent training partner. Let alone, could she even keep up?
And there was the matter of her energy... The stronger it was, the easier it was to spot how chaotic it became of late. Ayu couldn't sense it herself, but she heard that it felt like layers of Ki overlapping and intertwining, cluttering together and stirring without rhyme or reason. Like a mosaic of some sort, the one that was alive with every segment moving on its own, melting into shapeless forms and dancing together... Shortly, it was a mess. It wasn't a unified and singular signature, more like a spectacle of one - which would easily explain why getting it under control was so difficult. She thought, that maybe when the difference in the nature of her Ki was so easy to sense to others, it would be a good idea to try assessing her own power again. A headache and small nosebleed proved her wrong. It didn't get easier for her at all...
"I'm not so sure if I should use too much of m-my Ki," Ayu admitted to Liari in a worried, soft tone, as they both were on their way to the training ground. "I know that if things would get out of hand you'd be here to stop it, I just... Don't want it to happen in the first place." She wasn't feeling ready, but then again, she wasn't feeling ready to tackle that issue since it appeared. Maybe this time Ayu needed a little push to confront what was sitting at the bottom of her soul and glaring back at her? It could work this time. It was going to work eventually...
They stopped in the same spot where Ayu first met Bluebell, when she was smaller. She was remembering that day with fondness... But now it felt like ages ago but in reality? How many days or weeks have passed? And Break Wasteland was the place where Callion was supposed to wait for Ayu, so the two of them could figure out how her power works. Back then, her biggest concern was if she won't mess up a biome by allowing the wrong plant to grow - it seemed so distant now... That filled her with a bittersweet feeling. Looking around through the plains with scarce plantlife, Ayu sighed. It would be interesting to travel around this vast area, learning more about flora growing here, but for now, this spot had to do. There was only a single tree in sight - the one that Ayu created when she met Liari. And aside from that, yellowish grass, some shrubs here and there, and distant clusters of woods could be seen on the horizon... Maybe? She couldn't tell.
It was a perfect place to train. Secluded, not much of life signatures strolling around so no casualties could happen - no curious eyes could peek at them too. Ayu never saw the power of a fighter up close. She watched it only from a safe distance while using her sixth sense, so she wasn't sure what kind of damage to expect. In any case, this spot should withstand explosions and ground shaking, right? Right..? She brainstormed over it a lot and it should be the safest area for training. They were prepared... And of course, Ayu had to bring her immortal wicker basket along, filled to the brim with snacks, drinks, and a chequered blanket. But about that later. The basket was left in a cozy spot between two rocks and she and her little sister could warm up for the training. She wasn't going to lag behind, it's just that - so far Ayu was training on her own, meditating, or trying to polish her skills. Somehow it worked, but the point was that she was always doing things at her own race. Now? Thing was, Ayu had no clue how should they start.

SUPER HEAVY WEIGHTS ON!
Liari couldn't remember a time where she was happier.
Sure, it wasn't EXACTLY easy, Liari having to restrain, perhaps, her more indulgent habits and having to come with a small room FOR HER MASSIVE FORM (even with the upgrades) aaaaand maybe day-to-day activities were quieter than she'd like but over-all, this was a VAST IMPROVEMENT over the accommodations she had before! She could look forward to a warm, healthy and safe home, always greeted with the loving smile of Ayu before the two of them went out to pick herbs. It was something the majin, at first, had limited talent in and even LESS interest... but as the days passed and she wanted to spend more time with Ayu, she found herself... actually managing to keep up with her sibling! Granted, she was no herbalist, but she was picking up a thing or two, even pointing out the odd, interesting herb or plant amongst the many in that area! Much to Liari's surprise, as well, was how well she took to the house-keeping and chores! Maybe it was due to the Callion in her, but the majin found... peace in washing the dishes and sweeping the floor, her mind... focusing in the basic labor. Maybe it was the repetitive movements, the sound of the water from the spicket or the light brushing of the broom but Liari... was almost content as she kept these parts of the house clean. Heck, sometimes she would even HORDE the duties to herself if for no other reason than she wanted time to think. When it came to bills... Liari was never short on her share. While food was never a problem with them, Liari being able to transmute anything short of DIRT into any kind of sweet, upkeeping the house with the two of them was no small expense. Even though Liari never seemed to leave the premisis of their home, Liari would always have a fist-full of zeni to pass along as her part of the "rent" so to speak. Ayu never asked so Liari never answered!
...She just had it!
Hell, she had even managed to get a few nights of unbothered sleep, resting sounder knowing Ayu was nearby than she ever had on the floors of the caves she had occupied... To say NOTHING of the bed, the homely feel of the house and the beautiful, wide reach of nature all around them, tickling their noses with the smell of dew and fresh air each morning!
...In essence, Liari was in heaven...
...and it would only get better as Ayu had taken an interest in training!
Granted, it wasn't really a PASSIONATE interest, not like Liari's own, but she was trying! ...and boy could Liari tell. Despite Ayu possessing IMMENSE strength deep down, SO MUCH, in fact, Liari suspected it might rival even her own, Ayu REALLY struggled in getting it under control! Sparring sessions were a MESS of sporadic ki-expulsions that caused near-tree-high jungle-grass to CROP up around them. Often, Ayu's emotions would just... GO EVERYWHERE in a fight all of a sudden, as if someone T-BONED her emotional-state on the highway of their fight, causing her to spiral off into all sorts of plant-spawning chaos!
...But Liari was patient...
Ayu was STRONG. She could feel it whenever she allowed her punches to connect! There was a lot of power packed within that tiny green body of Ayu's... it was just a matter of figuring it out! Beyond that, though, Ayu was someone Liari cared for more than she cared about herself. She LOVED her... and no matter how long it took, for as long as Ayu was interested, Liari would train her... and do her best not to panic whenever things got out of hand... and they very often did. EVEN IN BASICS TRAINING, something always went wrong at it always blew back on Ayu! Her ability to gather Ki was risky at best and self-destructive at worst, Ayu always coming away with either a NASTY headache or even, kami-forbid, a nosebleed! SHE WAS HURTING HERSELF TRYING TO TRAIN WITH LIARI!
Ayu... Liari thought as the two of them walked up to their training grounds. I WILL find a way for you to make peace with your ki... I won't let it keep hurting you like this...
Ayu would nervously muse if she should keep her ki-usage to a minimum, remarking that if things went sour, the last thing she wanted was for Liari to get mixed up in it! As if SHE were the older sister this time, Liari would SCOOP up Ayu in her arms and laugh reassuringly, snuggling her face into her sibling's as she carried her bridal-style!
"No! You should use your ki!" Liari beckoned, a tentacle reaching down and lightly tapping her forehead! "How're we gonna find a way to get it under control if we don't figure out how it works? Trial-and-error and all that stuff! Please, don't be afraid to use what you have inside, Lily-Ayu... We'll figure this out... together."
It wouldn't be long before the two would come to the place where they first met. It was a Bleak Wasteland on the border of a grassland where the rock and ground were as sturdy and stubborn as the people who trained amongst them. It would be hard to destroy this place... or destroy anything of worth, for that matter, as good a place to train as any. Liari looked down at her sibling... and took note of the expression on her face. While Liari felt nothing but happy nostalgia for this place, Ayu's expression seemed to suggest something more... mixed. She maybe she was nervous about their training...? ...She didn't even think to check Callion's memory... She had no idea of the ties he and Ayu had or the bonds they might've had here.
"Ayu, don't worry..." Liari beckoned, gently reaching down to take her goody-wicker-basket and set it aside somewhere safe! "Everything will be okay... I promise... Now... follow me, okay...?" If Ayu allowed her, Liari would lead her deeper into the wasteland, eventually settling in an open area surrounded by rocky pillar-like mountains all around them!
"This looks good..." She mused, before pointing to the ground! "Sit!" If Ayu did, Liari would sit behind her, her chest pressing against Ayu's back, her chin resting on the top of her head, Liari's legs would sprawl out past Ayu's in front of them, her arms gently held out past the green-woman's belly and sides, cupped together! A Very small pink orb of energy would gather in her palms, just smaller than a baseball!
"Lets start easy today, okay...? I want you to take this energy-ball from me... and hold it... Just hold it... and keep it going. Very simple... very easy..."

The days were starting to blend. It was a pleasant by any means, the things that came it were refreshing. Still, making new friends, getting a job, finding a home while also resolving to learn more about her secondary home world? It was such a rash.change it was enough for anyone to lose their tail or head. Each raving ranting reason screaming in her head, just trying to provide some sort of justification for the next breakdown. It wasn’t as easy as just saying no, but it was a battle that she had no intention of giving up on. May would prove everyone who doubted her, even herself, wrong. The mini May had might even if it wasn’t outwardly striking. It was being revealed in each action, each active stride towards that place of self actualization she aimed for, It was more than a rocky road, a mountain even, it was jumping over the moon itself.
Life really did love to provide all kinds of obstacles. That made it simple to run, the easy option of hiding away. It had become a testament to her that such life styles were that of obsequious peons overcome by day to day drivel. It was almost judge mental, but it was not directed towards the half-nots and the actions they chose, the fates they had to face. It was just within her cards to have the chance to fight back, to escape it and find some sort of meaning in the torment that knocked at the back of her memories. The pain never stopped hurting, it just reared its’ ugly head in less striking ways. Getting past everything was impossible, but learning to live with it. To gain strength, to fight back, those were things she could do. Even if it took her all.
These thought had made her stuck in her mind. May had been flying since the sun sat up on the horizons haunch. Now that the day was further along in its’ course she had been droning. The way it took away her focus, it had lead to mistakes. There were easy mistakes to make, such as finding her way all the way to the eastern continent. The wastes outside where were she had killed her father all those years ago. It was a weird moment of pride, but also vile reoccurring night mare. It rapidly reminded her, with the pestering, the hammer needle of a sewing machine, that type of methodical thumping. The thoughts, the rage it pounded to be let out. No, it was her tool to be directed. These though tho, these feelings were lost. Even the feeling of the day on her skin, the fresh scent of grass and rain that came with being so high. They could only last for so long.
Everything would coming crashing, not just in her emotions, but in the trajectory of her path. Bewildered, flustered and panicked all at the same would only become worse, when she felt the presence below. May’s ki sense kick in as an autoimmune defense almost. Shock shot through her, what was this presence, it was terrifying to her. The strength wasn’t something that could be gauged. No it was always just a feeling, a presence, It could have even been being concealed. She was no longer sensing for it, even able to tell if it was real or being output still. It was enough, more than enough to cause hysteria.
It had taken all sense of control May had, the thought of how to respond, how to protect herself. Even after befriending stronger people this time of vulnerability had lead to a break. Something had snapped within the young woman, it was as if the progress made was being overshadowed by fear. Immolating deep inside the phobia began to eat away, more more mor until there was nothing but the raging inferno of her own making. To gain control, that was the first step. Even after getting stronger there was only so much one could do about hurtling into the earth. It would a long nap for sure. It only grew, a cold feeling coming with every burning synapse as if the mind itself was shutting down. No, no, no, this wasn’t a fight she could afford to lose. Maycair had to act fast, the weighted clothing she wore brought her closer and closer with each passing step. Maximum velocity had taken its prey, it hoped to break her.
Maycair remembered every helpless feeling, each bully, each fight that couldn’t be won. Death was a very possible outcome in all her choices, but the strength to fight back was something she earned. The hybrid put in the work, the time, the blood sweat and tears. These wastes would not be painted with blue and red so smeared it creates a violet mess of a masterpiece. It took every ounce to redirect fear, anger at all that had come to take control. It was not to fight this fear, to hunt down for a fight, but to direct all of it into saving her life. It was only, just barely enough with a might roared she rocketed, lifting up only inches above the ground. “AUGHHHHHHHOWWOWOAOWOWOWOWOWAHuAH!!” The roar had become enough to alert the targets she was barely for, but she began to skid, tumbling against the earth as a ball of mud. Just avoiding the verdant spread blanketing around, she just barely landed while taking a few hits.
The ride was over, but the experience was far from beginning. May had not realized what she had arrived before, the panic had fried her every thought. Nothing could be gauged, the situation that was unfolding would be left to the devices of the two woman before her. May had just wanted to get stronger, to feel she was becoming accomplished. Now she just wanted to know if she was gonna make it out of this alive. The best way to know, would be to start talking. Pain beckoned her to shut up, but she would speak. “Sorry my fly turned into a fall, hope I didn’t hurt anything.”

Liari made it sound so easy. Figuring out things together... Working together. Oh, Ayu loved that thought but sometimes she was afraid that she was putting too much of her burden on Liari. She had enough on her plate already, and adding the case of Ayu's raging power on top wasn't making her comfortable. But Bluebell was adamant, eager to train her, happy to tell her about combat and how she should prepare for it... Even now, when Ayu's thoughts started to wander, she picked her up and proclaimed that she should use her energy, as much as needed. Her expression softened and Ayu chuckled. She smiled back at Bluebell when she was randomly scooped up. Her little sister was taking advantage of being the taller one now too often, picking her up randomly like that - but it didn't feel bad. Ayu suspected that if Liari would have stayed shorter like before, she would do the same, pulling her for a hug whenever there was a need for one. And she was adamant about training her energy to make it less troubling for her. Having someone this strong by her side, who was offering her aid, was comforting, to say the least.
"Alright, Bluebell," she agreed with a soft smile, reassured by Liari's happy grin and her resolve. She was showing more understanding about the mechanics of fighting and energy control than Ayu could ever suspect. And with how badly she was lacking in this department, she wanted to listen to her advice. "Let's get going then." And they went deeper into the wasteland until Liari found a perfect place for practice. The young woman nodded and sat down at the appointed spot, not questioning anything. She did not learn enough to even consider doubting how the training should look. The next thing she knew, was Liar cradling her from behind and her chin resting on the top of her green hair. Ayu couldn't help but chuckle. "If you wanted a hug, you could just say so," she smiled with care, feeling Liari's hands stretching next to her sides and watching how she started to gather her energy. A sphere was formed, a ball made of pure energy... That she was supposed to collect from her sister's hands and sustain with her energy. Now, things were getting more serious. She nodded pensively - it was time to train.
Ayu placed her hands in the palms of Liari, the inner sides facing the orb. She could feel the warmth and the energy swirling inside the ball of Ki, the hue of it pleasantly pink, like rosy petals of daisies. With a deep breath - and another deep breath - she closed her eyes, trying her best to focus. Feel and sense the energy, make it her own and mold it to her will... Sound easy in theory. Ayu quietened her thoughts and held the orb that Liari offered her - and a goldish flicker appeared on the sphere created by Bluebell. And another one, stuck to the surface like a speck of glitter, shining through with a soft glow. That wasn't planned, it was like her energy decided to move there on its own accord - but that was the goal, to keep it going. She frowned lightly but was afraid she couldn't stop it... But if she couldn't stop it, then maybe she could change it? Very gently and carefully, as she still wasn't sure about her abilities, Ayu was pouring her energy inside the orb between their hands. The two types of Ki mixing, the surface full of swirls akin to the pink and gold iridescent pattern... It seemed to become stable - for now. Ayu sighed with relief, opening her eyes to glance at the creation in her hands, admiring it silently.
Yet, they couldn't savor the peaceful quiet for long. Ayu flinched and raised her head anxiously while hearing the pained roar and sensing... What even was what she sensed? An uncontrollable mosaic of energy and emotions rushed in their direction at an alarming speed. There was no hostility so she wasn't afraid, but the underlying chaos of feelings was making her uneasy already. How... How could even someone feel like that? She could tell that her heart was squeezed by worry already. If Ayu could compare the sensation of the stranger to something, it gave her an impression of anxiety and panic spinning around together, rotating so fast that this unholy mix swallowed the worry, concern, and dread. The person soaring in the skies above them was fearing for their life... B-But why? And the distance between them was shortening so fast, that she could only tilt her head while trying to figure out from which side they would approach them. While her focus slipped away from the ball, it started to shrink gently, the energy slowly dripped down, and the yellowish grass around her and Liari started to turn into emerald green blades. Ayu was still unaware of that, her eyes aiming at the sky above.
"Someone is hurting..." she whispered worried, but before she could add anything else the stranger whose presence concerned her so much just crashlanded on the ground nearby her and Liari. Startled Ayu basically jumped in place, standing between Bluebell's legs. The person in question turned out to be a blue-skinned woman with messy black hair and intensely colored eyes. The fall, as cruel as it was, crumpled her clothing and would probably cause a few bruises, but she seemed to be well enough. For most parts. Ayu couldn't help but be worried still, because her energy was reflecting her mental state - and it was still in a state of panic. "Are... A-Are you alright..?" the young woman asked softly, herself a little dumbstruck of how quickly things unraveled, and the energy in her hands... Slipped away.
The orb burst soundlessly like a soap bubble and suddenly the grass all around her moved. Before Ayu blinked and realized what happened, the scarce greenery of wasteland around them soaked the stray energy and started growing. Thank goddess the amount of Ki was so small. It ended with the sleeping, drying grass turning into a green blanket under them. Gently more vines sprouted from among the jade-colored blades, they twisted softly around Liari's shoulder and some buds, fed on her energy, started to emerge from the dry ground. The stranger was caught up with that too. The blooming vines wrapped around her harmlessly - they grew like gentle tendrils of the plant that needed to support themselves on the rods - and instead of the stick, they used her leg. Maybe their thickness wasn't like one of the normal plants, but they certainly weren't going to cause any harm. Not like in the toolshed case... Some daises bloomed on the grass as they were standing on a patch of dense, luscious greenery among the empty wasteland... And Ayu was frozen there with a nervous flush painted all over her face and her hands fidgeting as she looked at what she has done. Again.
"I'm sorry Liari, I got distracted..." she glanced at her little sister with a shy, apologetic smile, scratching her cheek when she was assessing the damage done. Well, not much damage here actually, just an eye-catching green little oasis in the middle of nowhere. Still, she was careless... Though it was hard for her not to react when sensing someone's strong distress. And when it came to the stranger - she was now in an awkward position, the plants using her as support, growing freely like they took a liking to her... Oh no, did she scare her because of her sloppy Ki control? Ayu paled and then blushed with abashment again. "Oh, n-no, I'm s-so sorry..." she walked up towards the blue lady, feeling how badly her cheeks were heated by embarrassment. She gently raised her hands and her fingertips lit up with a soft glow, the vines obediently retreated - they shrunk, curling back into the saplings and hid again inside the soil. The stranger was now free, but Ayu was still far from being any less worried. "D-Did I hurt you by any chance..?" she asked with a delicate tone, genuinely concerned about her well-being. And worried, that unwillingly she has caused someone any harm... That should never happen. "I'm sorry if I startled you, I d-didn't mean to do that..." Ayu shyly placed her hand above her heart, not sure if that explanation would sound believable... But she ought to apologize anyway.

"But it wouldn't be a nice, cuddly surprise if I told you..." Liari giggled, slowly bending her legs inwards so that the soles of her boots clapped together at the end of Ayu's shoes! In a way, she had her older, smaller sibling completely in her embrace and Liari was just loving it... She could feel the warmth, the peace and calm from inside her sibling, the control she tranquil control she seemed to radiate just like her body-heat. Ayu was like a port in the storm, a person someone could just go to and be with for a moment of kindness, a moment of peace, a moment of safety, even as she and Liari stepped out into a world she was unfamiliar with. Ki-control was like riding the biggest of all bikes: one of the most difficult things to control when you were getting started with an INCREDIBLE skill-ceiling, but, as you get to know it and use it, ki-control becomes as natural to someone as breathing. Ayu wished to learn how to gather her power and use it for herself, to transform it from a bomb with a temperamental timer into an extension of herself she could call upon naturally. She wanted control... And Liari could understand that... It was one of the reasons she wanted to have a personal hand in training her sibling! Ayu, in some ways, was a lot like her. She desperately wanted a world of her liking, a small little pocket of something away from the front lines of the universe with enough strength and power to keep it safe. To help Ayu, someone who cared for her unconditionally, who loved her without a second thought, who cradled, kissed and snuggled her whenever she was afraid...
...No matter how many limbs she might lose or burns she might sustain... Liari would do it all for her... Her Lily-Ayu.
Ayu would, curiously, raise her hands inside the boundaries of Liari's, the back of her hands softly pressing against the palms of the Majin's as she slowly tried to take control of the sphere!
"Carefully, Ayu..." Liari whispered, watching the sphere with intent, ready to WRENCH back control in the event it blew up! "...Gently try and pull it out of my hands... Its only energy, but it's a little... Oh my..." It wasn't long before the green-haired woman took control of the ball and began adding her own energy to the mix, the pink and juicy colors of the majin mixing with the golden and divine shades Ayu had produced! Liari's eyes sparkled with wonder as the two ki-signatures mixed and danced together in their containment, Liari's lips curling into an excited smile as she slowly pulled her hands away!
"Wow, Ayu... Your energy... it's beautiful..." She whispered, wrapping her arms around Ayu's waist instead of helping control the energy! "...And look at you... You're doing it! I knew you could!" She had to be the proudest majin in the universe right now... LOOK at her sister: She went from barely handling herself in a fight to controlling a micro-percentage of Liari's energy... and so naturally too! Ayu was talented, that much was obvious. Were it not for her peaceful demeanor, Liari speculated, Ayu would have EASILY surpassed her by now and already ascended to planes of power NEVER before seen! Heck, she still MIGHT! She had already GROWN HUGELY since they had first met, let alone since Liari had first taken this new form she wore! She was truly MIGHTY...
...But now that she was able to HOLD her ki... now she needed to know how to manipulate it- Huh?
Liari and Ayu's eyes shot UP towards the sky, sensing the approach of a stranger at breakneck speeds, Ayu's distraction causing little sparkly deposits of ki to leak out from the orb! Everywhere they fell, little pockets of grass bloomed, as if the secret to the mysteries of life resided within the very ki of Ayu! The plants and grasses that bloomed practically dripped with color, shining beautifully in contrast to the dingy greys, browns and blacks of the wasteland! Maybe it was the traces of magic present within Liari's ki...? Or maybe it was due to how PACKED with energy these little fragments were!
"What in the..."
BOOM!
Liari's eyes shot WIDE as Ayu JUMPED in her seat, the two looking at each other, then towards the source of the impact, an anxious frown shared between them both!
"Someone is hurting..." "Someone is hurting..." They both said in unison, rushing off to the aide of the person! Little did either of then notice right away, however, was that without Ayu to keep the energy-sphere together, it had burst and the little, tiny golden-pink fragments splattered the entire area where they had sat! A nice cool blanket of dewy-green grass bloomed to life where they had once sat, a space of gentle, soft and fresh life in a barren, dead wasteland. Ayu would apologize for getting distracted by the majin would simply brush aside her concerns!
"Ayu, I can make more energy-spheres... Its okay... What about her, though?" She pointed at the blue stranger! "Is she?" Ayu would beg for the forgiveness of the stranger, afraid that, somehow, her ki-practicing wounded them and caused them, to crash HERE! ...Then the stranger started apologizing that they had crashed at all!
"So... uh... Who are you?" Liari asked, attempting to get this odd little interaction back on some reasonable track! "Are you hurt...? Is everything okay?"

There was no reasonable approach to this situation. Questions came flying, well not really flying as they weren't asking much, but May was rattled. The hello she provided was one more delusion than it was clarity. Where was she, where had she landed, it was as if every bearing Maycair had beforehand was knocked clear out of her head. The very thing that was needed, was for May to ground herself. The shock was likely to set in, it would be best to fight that. So slowly, she built back her senses, her reality. First was the lush grass, a nubile touch turned into thick grabbing vines. There was no unpleasantness to their grasp, it felt more like a caress than anything. The fresh scent, the bright herby smile they gave woke up her nose, with touch and smell reigning her in it gave a chance to center her eyes. It felt nice, for a moment, the touch of people often felt so much more fough.
It was enough to distract the panic in her heart, only for so long though. Once things started to come in a bit more clearly it would be easier for May to realize the things they were saying. Hostility didn't seem to be on their agenda, if anything they were checking up on the poor girl. Sure there had been those who had extended kindness these previous days but she crash landed in what could have been their sanctuary, she was an intruder. So far intruding seemed to be one of the biggest things that had stoked fights with the people May ran into. Was this really the time for that, no it wasn't, but the feeling that something was off settled in her tail. It riled up every single hair, as if the instincts inside her blood began to scream at her to run. It only wrought more confusion within. That is until she stood up, realizing the situation she was in.
A creak and crack would leak, slowly propping herself up the child-sized Maycair rubbed her side. "I- uh- ugh" *crack* "I should be fine, I got enough control before I hit the ground, I don't think any bones are broken." They may not have been but bruises were already rearing their ugly faces across her body. Pain was something easy to get by, the confusion was always a bit of a hill. Then it would remind her, why the spiral had started in the first place. The power she had felt, it was more than just the growth in the grass. It was a wall of power she had never faced, neither was emitting their power right now but she wasn't focused enough for ki sense either. It was insurmountable, never before had May felt such strength, such energy against her body. Most of the time it brought on the strongest of fight instincts, this brought a strong fear of submission. Giving in, breaking down to such a visceral degree, not again, that couldn't happen again. Still, panic turned to beads, beating down her face and staring down the two women. Inside the demons raged, the saiyan wished to fight. May, May only wanted to live so it was time to rationalize a little.
Even if the power that pinned her came from them they were being polite, kindness had been extended, and there was no reason to hold such fear. It wasn't easy, when most of your life, most of your experiences involved someone trying to exert some kind of control. To have no autonomy, no say in survival, it was a scary fate. May needed the courage, the strength to face what was before her, to them she probably seemed crazed. Moving forth with a smile but shaking legs May tried to talk on. "I didn't mean to crash, I just felt someone I had never felt before, it had triggered my natural survivalist you could say. I can be on my way, it seemed you were doing good work here, If you could just point me to the west I would appreciate it. I lost my sense of direction while crashing, it seems that can do quite a number on you sometimes hahahahaha."
This was further than the anxiety that stoked wrath, this was actual fear, it stoked every emotion, every bad thought. She didn't like it, but it was important to face your fears. These were also strangers, very strange ones indeed. While she wasn't one to talk about appearances but it wasn't very often she saw other blue people that weren't demons. The one with a similar hue almost appeared softened, taffy like in May's eyes. The other had a grace and beauty in her own right, green, however, rich like the plants that grew with her touch and fervor. Which was which energy, was it them, was she truly imaging things. May felt like she was slowly going crazy.
She wanted to make a soft march, to move on from them and go about on her day. Even with her questions, the desire for help, to move on it wasn't enough. May had become frozen, she could speak, see, as for the rest the body had its own arrangements. It seemed, whatever was going to happen, May was going to make new friends today. It would be a blessing if her dream didn't turn into her demise.

The matter of Ki wasn't a simple one. Ayu liked to divide the term energy into two categories - external and internal. When she was focusing on the energy that was outside her body, the one that she gathered in her palms by herself or was given to hold. It was including lots of focus and patience but wasn't as hard as she would have thought... But the internal - that was the problem. Normally, the energy just was in her body, present, not doing much - only growing to her dismay. With high emotions it would start to fluctuate, leaking, soaking into the ground, causing smaller or bigger outbursts of greenery around her. The more she tried to focus on it and get it under control, the worse the effect was, so... Ayu smiled shyly hearing Liari's praise. The orb in her hands was gleaming beautifully, and she took a slow breath, trying to learn how this sensation felt. She should try practicing the same way, creating energy spheres too, and maybe looking for a way to keep Ki in her body in check...
And that was when someone quite literally dropped by.
As sudden and as weird as this situation was, Ayu was probably the most worried person among the three of them. Maybe she was overreacting a little, but knowing how wild and untamed her energy was, she couldn't bear the thought that she'd hurt someone - because she lacked skills and control. So seeing and feeling that the stranger was alright, calmed her down. Ayu sighed softly with relief with one of her hands pressed against her heart, the stems retreating from the black-haired woman like they were never there. She heard her somewhat hasty explanation, and she blinked surprised.
Survival instinct..? At first, Ayu's mind slipped away trying to find any other signature in the area, aside from the three of them of course, that would be of any threat. There was nothing like that... But when she glanced at Liari with a question in her eyes, right after their gazes met her pale yellow irises widened with understanding. Liari was the threat. Abashment and worry crept into her heart, she didn't catch this reflection right away. Bluebell's enormous energy, as deep and menacing as the incomprehensible depths of the sea, would have been a red flag for any creature in the area able to sense energy. Well, to not make it sound so trivial, her power level didn't bother Ayu that much... She respected her might. If she only could - Liari could have swept away half of the City with one blast already... But her Ki was calm and devoid of hostility right now. Besides, she was her little sister - despite what had happened, she was not afraid of her presence. How could she while knowing that Bluebell snuggles next to her whenever a nightmare wakes her up with a cold sweat? But...
Would Liari be troubled by that? By some, she already was branded as a monster and murderer. Would she feel insecure knowing that she might have been the one that unintentionally caused a panic attack? Ayu turned to the side and walked to Liari. Bluebell was still sitting, casually watching the unfolding encounter, with less concern in her energy than Ayu, who of course had to get worried about the whole situation, right..? She couldn't help but try to calm down the stranger and make sure that Bluebell won't feel like she's standing out too much... Figuratively speaking of course! With a gentle gesture, she made the plants retreat, the ones that were already treating her blue arm as a ladder returned to their previous size. Ayu placed her hand on Liari's shoulder in a reassuring manner, smiled sweetly trying to uplift her spirits, and looked back at the woman with dark hair.
"It's alright. Noone's going to harm you here." Perhaps this explanation with a warm voice won't be as calming as Ayu would wish, but there wasn't much else to do - sometimes words weren't enough. The stranger stood her ground bravely, but her energy betrayed her emotions. The clumsy movement and shaking legs, trying to mask nervousness with a nonchalant speech... The young woman knew too well how could it feel, her anxiety getting the best of her in crowded places or when she was in danger - Ayu would freeze, unable to move, with tears streaming down her cheeks. "W-Would you like to sit and t-take a breather?" She walked closer to the stranger and gestured to the patch of soft grass that sprouted around them a moment ago, and she was glad it did - this type of seat was much better than solid, hard ground. "That was quite a fall and sometimes i-it takes a moment to feel that you're hurt... I do have a first-aid kit on me, so please tell me if you'd need it." She joined her hands together, a little uneasy about the thought that maybe she was being obtrusive... "I m-mean, if you'd like..." Ayu corrected herself bashfully.
At this very moment, she was torn between helping the woman and not wanting to be overbearing - that could lead to creating an opposite effect. And thus Ayu wasn't sure what she could do, the energy she felt still affected by fear and panic... But the more her sixth sense tried to make heads or tails of it, the more it reminded her of something. She felt something like that before. It didn't take long before a silhouette of Athren and the dark-haired Saiyaness returned to her mind. Their signatures were steady and ready like muscles tensed and prepared to fight, but something underlined their Ki with an uneasy, dark sensation. In this case, the essence of this short, blue-skinned lady felt like it was inverted. The main part of her Ki was filled with this dim energy, only the tone of her heartbeat like a steadily beating drum reminded her of the Saiyan race. Perhaps that was it..? Now she was becoming curious, but it would be rude to ask about it like that... "Oh, and it's alright, we were doing some energy control practice... As I am not too good at it." Ayu added a bit embarrassed while brushing the hair away from her face. Her gaze slipped to the grass. The emerald blades looked like they always were here, softly rocking under the gentle breeze. Wasteland was devoid of many types of greenery, that's why it was the best place for training. If her energy would start to leak again, the damage would be reduced simply by the lower number of plants that her outburst would affect.

Liari... REALLY wasn't sure she bought the excuse she and Ayu were being fed right now. It was ONE thing to be afraid of Liari's overwhelming power. It dwarfed literally EVERYTHING on the planet! If she wanted to, she could have stamped out this stranger with no more difficulty than one might have crushed a beetle. Where the problems came in was this whole "triggered-my-inner-survivalist" line. So... just to recap recent events, this stranger just so happened to fly overhead, sensed Liari's power and then... their survival instinct commanded them to fly full-speed at least a half-dozen stories straight down into the ground and bury their head in the dirt ostrich-style.
...If that wasn't flawless logic, Liari didn't know what was.
An easily readable frown of distrust flashed across Liari's face, her arms crossed over her chest as she glared down at the stranger. She didn't care much for her explanation... but she really wasn't much of a threat either. At these levels of power, this person would have to throw every once of their life-force into an attack just to scratch them! ...Still...
Ayu seemed to take their explanation at face-value though, much to Liari's surprise and chagrin, the majin huffing with frustration... then her eyes widening as Ayu almost seemed to break down! Tears were rolling down her cheeks as she offered the stranger first-aide, no doubt ANXIOUS beyond belief about the over-all situation!
"Ayu... are you okay...?" The majin questioned, turning her full attention from this suspicious blue woman to her sister that cared for her! "You weren't hurt too, right?"
...Ayu seemed all too focused on their mysterious visitor, though, commenting how often wounds would take a few minutes to be felt after such a devastating impact! ...In all honesty, the majin didn't know what was going on anymore! How was it that she was able to brush aside the craziness of their story so EASILY? What's more, why was she acting so buddy-buddy with them at all? Were Liari the head of this situation, she would have already seen this stranger off already, content to get back to whatever she was doing before once she knew they were okay! ...But Ayu seemed insistent on making them stay! The Kombu inside her agreed with Liari, suspicious to say the least. The saiyan commanded her to speak her mind, to express her concerns and get answers! Callion, the more tempered and patient of the three, however, beckoned Liari to relax and wait. Perhaps answers would come on their own! ...Thinking about it for more than a few seconds, the majin couldn't help but agree. Chances were this stranger would answer all of Liari's questions before she could even ask them... so long as she was patient and didn't jerk them around... much.
...However, she wasn't just going to stand there like a gargoyle, glaring at the face-planting blue alien with an expression that could singe the hair off your reflection!
"What's your name then?" Liari would question, since this person seemed to be sticking around a while! "...As Ayu just explained, we were going to be practicing our ki. I don't suppose you would like to join us?"
Liari would walk around to behind Ayu, one arm softly resting on her shoulder as the majin flashed her a soft smile, hoping to calm her down! The poor girl... she was TERRIFIED... or something like it! Liari had almost forgotten just how anxious Ayu was around newcomers! They had been together for so long, away from people, for the most part to such a degree, it had slipped her mind before now that Ayu... was VERY used to her own solitude. ...It was all Liari could do to keep her own emotions in check, seeing tears roll down her sibling's face. She KNEW it wasn't this stranger's fault... and she knew it wasn't HER fault... but all Liari could think about in this moment was the day she had came back from west city... and how hard they both cried that day...
...Liari didn't know whether to start crying like her sister... or grow FURIOUS with this stranger from bringing the tears on. ...Eventually, she settled for a neutral, if slightly distrustful frown.
"We were practicing basic energy control... and perhaps generation. Are you familiar?"

The green one was quick to extend an offer of kindness, the consolation that they weren't going to bring harm to her. It would've been reassuring if Maycair didn't quickly gauge the situation she was in. That wall, that terrifying presence was before her. That insurmountable power was terrifying. Trust had been a new skill the hybrid was working on acquiring but all that work felt like it was backpedaling once she felt such power. How could something so strong be trusted, yet they were just gardening? Wait no they did explain they were training control of their ki. It was exactly malicious actions, the girl with a floral grace was evening offering to patch up Maycair. It would've been nice to not sit around bleeding, letting the methodical pulse of pain dance in her bones. Some sense of relief, of tranquility, was all she really desired.
What she needed to do, was speak up, so that she wouldn't look like a silent idiot. Coming to face with such awe, fear was terrorizing her into a frozen state. The paralytic dread crept along Maycair, acting was necessary or else they'd think she was suspicious. Shakes and tremors danced up her spine, trust was what she needed to offer. If May was to die, then today she would perish, there was no use in letting fear be the thing that wins the day. It was easier said than done, it was an uphill battle, good thing she was a fighter. "I-I'll be fine, the aid should help me get better so I would appreciate it."
The blue one, the one that drove true fear into her heart, seemed to have a doubt in May. It wasn't all that clear to her, there was some disdain or maybe just unpleasantness in her being an intruder, which was fair. It could be her prayer that they weren't the types to vaporize some for being a party crasher. They were so strong yet they were practicing ki control, that was the nature of growth, repeating the same cycles, refining skills to a level one couldn't think possible. She understood the basics of it, that basis of how to control and manipulate her energy. The output was questionable, that was the point of training new skills though.
"Well, I wasn't really going anywhere for the day." May would say, hoping the invitation wasn't some ploy. "I could probably use some extra practice since rather than flying away I managed to crash and lose control. I'm sorry to be rude, I'm Maycair a demon/saiyan. I don't want to cause trouble, I know you can see the fear in my body. If you are fine with me staying I would appreciate it greatly. I just can't fathom what I felt, what I was within. I know how to generate my own power, how to shape it into a form, or how to extend it out into the world." May tried to stand firm, her small frame seeming meek despite the meager attempt at a strong stance.
What was even more confounding of the two were their attitudes. May had only just noticed the green one called the Blue one Liari, Liari called the green one Ayu. They were quick to share their names in casual conversation, it really was rude of May to not introduce herself. Ayu was strangely scared, Liari seemed too protective of her maybe that was why May hadn't been smeared like a bug. It was more than enigmatic, it sent all her understanding of how those in power often acted. They were just in a relaxed setting practicing their skills when they seemed strong enough to take over the world. She didn't have those desires, maybe they were of the same cloth, maybe it wasn't an awful idea to have trust in these strangers.
"If you don't mind me asking, where were you starting, ki training can be gathered and practiced in different ways. Should I show some of my base understanding?" May knew how weak she was, they could probably feel it as well. Still, it could've put them at ease for her to show she may not have been concealing anything. It was questionable, but she also needed to know where they were in the training. it would be kind of hard to join in on their activities if the path of direction wasn't clear. It really was a win-win option. She would focus her ki, gathering what energy she had to form a small ball of ki, but she would take it a step further. To really show the control of her ki May would create a blight shadow above her, which would then generate its' own black hole bomber, May then created one as well. Instead of firing the attack, however, they juggled the balls of ki back and forth. it was a display of how well she could manage her own energy.
"I'm happy to go through it step by step if it'll help me put more power into my skills. As you can see, my power lack oomph but I make up for it with some control." May tried to explain. She was betrayed by her body still, despite the attempt to seem cool and explain herself. May's legs quiver, wobbling to and fro, a small ship caught in a storm. It would be a disappointment if her last memories on earth were being a clown.

It took her a hot moment before the realization sunk in. Atmosphere was... More than awkward. The emotions steaming between them weren't those she'd like to sense at all. Liari was worried about Ayu's reaction and her concern wasn't helping the anxious lady in front of them, as her little sibling was starting to be wary of the blue-skinned woman. As much as it was warming her heart to know that someone was looking out for her, Ayu wanted to explain to Bluebell everything that she felt right now... But the stranger wasn't already in the best shape, worried to the point of shaking, so an additional scoop of suspiciousness could make things worse. She was able to read a lot out of anyone's Ki, so she could tell... Seemed that Ayu involuntarily made everyone uncomfortable, being lost in her thoughts and feelings like that. It was true that she did not feel right in front of others, but it was no excuse to make the situation difficult this way. No, no, it was time to fix this mess. The young woman placed her hand over her heart, breathing slowly and trying to scrap back at least a tiny piece of her composure.
"It's o-okay." Ayu's hand brushed against her face wiping it from any tears that might have appeared there without her noticing and she shook her head lightly. Being empathic wasn't easy, especially when she felt for Maycair's fear, having had some similar experiences before. Gods only know how terribly sensation it was to be so scared that you could do nothing in the face of danger... "Really. I'm alright, I'm s-sorry about that," she looked up at Liari giving her a gentle, reassuring albeit apologetic smile. Her gaze turned to the short lady and Ayu slowly nodded. "Just... I-I know what panic feels like. I've been scared to the point of freezing for way less, so I understand. At least that part," she stroked her cheek shyly, remembering not-so-pleasant events from her life. The lady in front of them was at least able to speak and explain herself, while Ayu would likely turn into a flustered mess. Maybe she should be more confident with all that power dwelling inside her, but it didn't matter how strong was her inner energy. It simply wasn't able to overshadow the anxious feelings that Ayu felt in front of people. Or in front of danger. Sometimes they weren't as overwhelming and she was doing just fine while interacting with others... Or at any other time, she could only grow a tree and hide behind it, too shy, too nervous, too bashful to even confront the person she was talking to face to face.
Maybe that's why she was putting trust in Maycair's words. Her Ki was honest, she wasn't lying, and Ayu could relate to her worry to some level... Some energy signatures were sending a cold shiver that would rattle the depths of her bones - and they didn't have to be as tremendous as Liari's. There were people out there whose malice and pure evil in their souls were making her anxious already.
"Ah, r-right. My name is Ayu, it's nice to meet you," she stroked the back of her neck bashfully, giving her a shy smile, because of how impolite it was to forget about introducing herself? Ayu glanced towards the basket Liari placed nearby and pointed towards it. Right, first things first. "I have some first-aid supplies here, so feel free to help yourself or tell me if you'd need any help in using anything," but it wouldn't be good to just say it, right? She stroked her cheek thoughtfully. Ayu walked up to her wicker basket, searching through the content for a satchel filled with bandages, ointments, and other useful things she always carried with herself. Since they started training, and because Ayu had this funny luck of running into injured people, she would never leave the house unprepared. She picked up the satchel and handed it over to Maycair with a genuine friendly look in her eyes. After doing so, the young woman stood up next to Bluebell, feeling how a slightly nervous blush was heating her face. It felt bad to think that her careless emotions caused her little sister to be so worried... It was a reasonable and considerate thought, and of course, she wouldn't be able to blame her. Ayu always had to put up with her feelings alone, sometimes she tended to forget that it isn't like that anymore. "I'm sorry Liari, I got too emotional and made you worried... I'll be okay," she softly cradled her hand between hers and gave a gentle squeeze. She smiled back at her. "I know you're here," she finished, just a tiny bit abashed. It did not sound too cheesy, did it..?
Funny thing was, that energy more often than it wasn't, was unique to every other person. At least Ayu sensed it this way. Every race, character, emotion, and individual traits, all melted into distinctive signatures. She deducted now that the dark undertones to Athren's and Zerori's energy were of demonic origins, as they must have been of demon blood, just like Maycair here. Yet, they all were so different from each other... Their Ki gave her unusual impressions too.
"Amazing..." Ayu murmured under her breath with wonder, watching the shadow figure tossing and catching balls of pure energy like it was nothing. Well, it should be a very easy activity for a warrior, just... She wasn't one. Energy, energy... For Ayu Ki was something that was a basic material for every living being. It made up everything she knew and manipulating it was a skill of a certain level, that despite her growing energy, she has yet to master. Seemed that she and Maycair were in opposite spots - Ayu got the power, unfortunately to her, but lacked control, while the blue-skinned lady had great control and a smaller amount of Ki. Perhaps it was like that? Her energy sense was still playing tricks on her. W-Wait, should she show too what she was able to do? Ayu blinked. "I-I'd rather not show much, as I'm not good at controlling my energy... It gets messy sometimes," she admitted with abashment. "But it makes plants grow, though it's obvious at this point. It should b-be okay if I show just a little. Let me..." She closed her eyes and gently opened her palm, her fingertips filling with a warmly glowing inner light.
Wasteland wasn't rich in vegetation, that was a simple truth. Ayu sensed around for a moment, looking for the right sapling, and having found a soon-to-sprout tree, poured her energy into that. A tree started to form five feet away from the place they were standing - first, a soft, svelte stem emerged from the ground, rooting in place behind them. Then it started unraveling twigs and growing leaves, gaining mass that was given to it by Ayu's Ki. But it didn't end there either... The tree trunk widened and the bark darkened, the full crown of branches opened above their heads like an enormous, emerald fan, shading them from the strong sun of wasteland. Ayu lowered her hand and looked up at the tree, smiling gently with joy. A tiny bit of well-thriving nature was enough to lift her spirits.

Liari had every reason to be suspicious, in her mind, even if Ayu seemed all-too-eager to buy what this Maycair-character was selling. So... he wasn't going anywhere... somehow managed to FLY over their training grounds, then DIVEBOMB face-first into the pavement the instant he sensed Liari's power. To Ayu, this all seemed like flawless logic, apparently, but to the majin, he might as well have been trying to explain that that candy grew on trees. The look Liari had given Ayu bordered on COMPLETE disbelief, that she would just gobble up such a last-minute-like story so READILY, especially with how twitchy she already seemed to BE around people! ...And he was a DEMON... or half of one, anyway. Maybe his honesty should have confirmed to the majin that he meant well. After all, who in their RIGHT MIND would freely admit to themselves having demon-blood in them if it wasn't the truth? Demons weren't exactly looked upon kindly by humans, or at least, that was Liari's understanding, seeing them as dark, evil things whether they were or not. Liari had seen enough EVIL on Earth to know that race and blood didn't confirm one's allegiance... but that didn't mean her suspicions were assuaged.
...It was just that everything was TOO CONVENIENT. Everything JUST SO HAPPENED TO BE and didn't seem natural enough to her for Liari to buy the circumstances this meeting...
...But Ayu reached up and squeezed her hand softly, reminding Liari that she was aware of her presence... If she needed her, she would ask. Liari's brow furrowed as she glanced down at her sister, the most precious thing in the world to her... and sighed. Whatever. Okay, if Ayu thought this guy was honest and wanted to invite him into their training session, Liari wasn't gonna fight her on it. At this point, it'd just cause a scene and probably make Ayu mad and neither of those two things Liari wanted right now.
"...Okay, okay." She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest, rolling her eyes as if to indicate she was done arguing. "...If you're going to be sticking around, Maycair, what are you capable of so we know where to start?"
...Well, the young woman would show a minor example of her skill, creating a ball of ki and bouncing it between her hands like a juggler! Okay, he's a little farther along than Ayu, but surely they could even things out quickly enough... She just needed some time to make sure Ayu knew how to control her ki, not just generate it! Ayu seemed amazed, though, watching Maycair move as if she were an expert... Liari... somewhat jealous of her interest and sudden fascination with the stranger! Between that and the obvious initial connection between the two, Liari was... perhaps a LITTLE afraid she'd be taking a back-seat to this adventure, one that was SUPPOSED to be just her and her big sister! ...She shouldn't be mad... SHE SHOULDN'T BE MAD...
....It was hard...
Ayu would provide a demonstration of HER abilities next, Liari smiling as she made a verdant blanket of life bloom across the barren wastes and, in its core, a full tree would bloom forth from the earth, transforming through its stages of growth in MINUTES in what would normally take DECADES!
"If this ki can be controlled, you might very well be the strongest thing on this planet, Ayu." Liari remarked proudly, resting a hand on her shoulder! "Now... lets try our exercise again, okay...? Here..." Liari would slowly lower her hand down before her sister, offering her a small ball of energy! "Please, take the ball in your hands... and hold it... Make it yours. Only you know its true strength... only you can make it move or change form..." If Ayu took the energy-ball, Liari would smile warmly. "When you feel comfortable, when you have made this little ball yours... try to move it! As if you held it in your fingers, try to lift it up into the air... or maybe pass it off between your hands! This energy ball is no different than... a regular ball! All you gotta do... is use it the way you want!"
Once Ayu confirmed she was ready to try this on her own, Liari would turn to Maycair, walking a good distance away from Ayu and gesturing at him to follow with her finger.
"Okay. Since you're farther along, your exercise will be different. See that rock over there?" Liari pointed at a large boulder across from them, thick firm and at least four times their height! "Blow it up. I don't care how many blasts it takes. The point of this exercise is to see how good your control is and how much energy it takes for you to accomplish your task. Simple, right?"

It was hard to stay strong next to such powerful people, but it was refreshing, almost enlightening to see how they were along different paths of their journeys. Maycair was practicing her skills well but her growth was nowhere near as explosive as theirs. She was envious to a degree, but it did give her a bit of pride knowing how well along she was getting. Maycair had put in the work in order to know more about herself, about her skills. It wasn't doing great for her output but it had made decent progress in regard to manipulation ability. Though, their differences would be a good way to help one another properly flourish, often that new perspective could give some pretty good ideas, and maybe help you see something you'd never see on your own.
Taking good use of Ayu's kindness Maycair would help herself to the first aid kid. She wasn't a doctor or surgeon by any means, but when you lived on your own you picked up a thing or two. She was prone to injury often so it meant that she had a lot of chances to practice patching herself up. She had a few scrapes and bruises, thankfully nothing too bad. After a bit of work a few moments of a few bandaids, and disinfectant she'd be good. Sure death was always around the corner, but that didn't mean she wanted to invite it any easier with the disease. It was funny, even the mighty could fall to their own biology. May was reckless, not that reckless, so she would make sure to take care of her wounds. Once they were all patched up she would make sure to grant her proper thanks to Ayu. "You didn't have to bring me this, I appreciate it honestly, you never know how bad a wound can fester sometimes. Let me know if I can offer anything, I have no desire to take advantage of your kindness."
May wanted to be useful, to feel like she was doing more than just being a burden. She was already intruding on some of their personal time. From what she could tell from the interactions they were a rather close pair. The first thought it brought was jealousy, not one to act upon but one born of sorrow. May desired a connection that seemed so pure, that it almost felt vile to be intruding on something that could be seen as sacred. That had invited her, asked her to stay but there was a chance it was all just courtesy. Should May leave? Would it be even more improper to decline and leave when they were trying to show nothing but kindness? Honestly, the thought of it all brought confusion to her. It was stressful to dwell on, a cloud of emotion swirling up among the anxiety and fear that had already built up. It was probably the single most confusion that she had ever felt in her life, a storm was brewing maybe it was good that they were having a bit of distraction.
From what she could see, Ayu's potential was truly scary. While Liari was the real threat, the raw energy Ayu had with no modifications or ways of honing it was massive. If she had learned how to properly direct then it would be quite the force to be reckoned with. It would be interesting to see how she would grow, it was a shame she planned on leaving the planet soon but by the next time she met who knows maybe the pair would take over the world? No, they seemed too kind for it, or if anything they seemed genuine. Watching how life grew from her power, and how she interacted with the world it was honestly it was quite impressive, it was cool to see a power that was more than just destructive.
Because of their two different paths, it would lead to their focus on training to be quite opposite. Ayu herself was practicing with the control aspect, while Liar would come up informing the hybrid to take a different approach. She trusted the strange blue woman, she had never met another blue woman besides herself and her mother. Sure there were blue demons out there, but Liari seemed to be quite different than any demon she had ever seen. Maybe whatever she was an explanation for why her power was so high, but she felt like it might have been a little rude to ask her. For now, she would just try to follow along and trust her guidance.
"Alright, I think I can do that, just destroy that rock right?" May could do that, but it was likely to take a few blasts, she was still struggling to increase the output of her attacks. That really was her struggle, figuring out how to put more of her energy into her techniques. The main struggle with it more than anything was that at every attempt the blasts would overload, bursting before she had the chance to fire the attacks. So, to attempt it she would start small, firing a basic ki blast, which would put some cracks into the boulder. It would take a bit more than that in order to blow it up. So she would push things to the next level, a black hole bomber to burst the rock. The ki would focus, forming into its' unique saturation taking all the light in the area. Upon crashing into the rock it would blow into chunks. It had done the job, but it was a rough break. The pieces were large, it was more fractured than anything. Making pebbles from it would have been more impressive for sure.
Turning towards the pair Maycair would speak up "I know I can do better, you can feel my Ki I'm sure, I just struggle with putting more power into my attacks without charging up. I seem to have a bit of an efficiency issue, I wish I could just let out my power but it only really works when I tap into my anger." She seemed to get a bit shy upon mentioning her temper.

The situation here proved... Complicated. From what Ayu could understand and fathom, Maycair still was troubled by their presence and her own panic attack, while Liari was very... Suspicious of the stranger. Even if her little sister was still calmly listening to their talk, Ayu was able to sense the lingering annoyance... Or at least something that reminded her of that. What has triggered this set of emotions? She embraced Bluebell's hand again, to hold it, reassuring her that everything is alright. They had completely different approaches to meeting someone new - the young woman being the shy, timid but trusting one, while Bluebell was more confident but distant and wary. Ayu liked to believe that no one was her enemy until proven otherwise, as naive as it sounded. Still, they had an objective - to train. But to do so, they needed to be, more or less, in good condition, physically and mentally. Liari was on edge, but she was sharp and ready to continue their practice. Ayu was glad to notice that in her little Bluebell - and to see the aid kit she offered was useful. Was it just her, or was the sense of dread starting to gradually melt away from Maycair's energy?
"I-It's alright, please don't mention it," Ayu smiled at her, scratching her cheek bashfully. The blue-skinned lady's honest response and her gratitude made her shy a little, but she appreciated the sincerity in her voice. "I'm glad you're feeling better," she added, taking back the first aid kit and placing it back beside her belongings. The reason why she was trying her best to soothe Maycair's uneasiness was not only because she related to the panic attacks... But it just didn't feel right to leave it like that. The last thing that Ayu wanted was to keep someone feeling afraid for their life this way - she knew how it could mess with one's head. Thankfully, seemed that the three of them somewhat reached the same conclusion of proceeding with more practice here and there.
With that, they could come back to their training, and Ayu didn't mind at all that another person would join them... Presenting her power wasn't something new, but it made her a little melancholic, when she was gazing at the tree she just created. Plantlife always talked to her in various ways and with chlorokinesis she felt closer to the flora than ever before. Liari praised her, making Ayu quietly blush for a moment. She couldn't help but feel flustered, deep down still questioning those words. She wanted to believe her, but there were things that couldn't be changed... Ayu wasn't that strong. Not physically at least, the raw power she had was all laying in her Ki. She couldn't be strong anyway, not with that body of hers that couldn't be a fitting vessel for all of her energy... What's the use of power if it couldn't be controlled as she wanted to? She was like a cracked vase overflowing with water... The more liquid added, the bigger were cracks. But maybe, just maybe, if one day she'd get where Liair is, she could be able to handle her power enough to actually do something - other than getting nosebleed that is. She was awaiting that day patiently, doing her best to practice, even if at times it felt futile.
"I am not as strong or as experienced as you, Bluebell," Ayu replied to the praise with a soft smile, scratching her flustered cheek somewhat abashed. Unlike her, Liari has already experienced fights and was able to make use of her Ki in many, many ways... Like creating energy balls, perfect for training. She too used to make tiny Ki-spheres, but now it was kind of... Harder to do. "O-Oh, thank you," she carefully scooped the orb in her hands. Looking down at the soft glow illuminating her skin, Ayu smiled gently. Liari's energy was pink and bright... And warm. She deemed her little sister Bluebell, but her Ki reminded her of a daisy, with white petals blushing with vividly pink color. She raised her gaze to meet silver eyes and beamed with a warm, albeit shy smile. "I'll try my best," Ayu assured her, without hesitation pouring all of her focus into the Ki that she was holding. Right. The first thing to do would be to transfer her energy inside the orb before trying anything else. She needed to take it slowly and steadily, otherwise, she could blow it up, making plants grow everywhere again.
The task itself wasn't that hard, but for someone struggling with the control of her energy, Ayu needed to concentrate. The more Ki she applied, the more golden spots started to appear on the surface of the orb. The color changed softly, fusing with the pink hue, adding the glimmering effect to the energy she was holding... This time it took her more time, but Ayu was doing everything slowly and patiently. There was no need to rush. Bluebell was right about this one, she ought to be meticulous with the things that give her the most trouble. Ayu was grateful for her help. In fact, Liari did adjust very well to living with Ayu under one roof and was greatly supporting her even in mundane, daily chores. They had their routine and small rituals, like making desserts and picking herbs in the woods. Hmm... Perhaps they should bake an apple pie for today's treat? Of course, after coming back home from the training...
Like Bluebell said, she made the energy her own - and when she tried to make it move, it did. The sphere was gently swaying between her fingertips and Ayu watched with a shy, hopeful smile, how the orb was warming up her skin... Then something weird happened. The energy seemed to generate mass, it became... Heavier? She frowned, confused, gazing at the gold ball of Ki adorned with pink swirls. It got bigger too and the color started to change too. The energy itself began to feel more physical and in her hands, it was taking a different shape.
"W-What's happening..." Ayu murmured to herself, maybe a tad bit too loud - but who could blame her? Something so utterly unexpected happened, that she wasn't sure how to react.
The young woman was looking completely dumbstruck at a perfectly red apple. The ripe fruit with shiny skin and appetizing shape was comfortably sitting in the palm of her hand - where a second ago a ball of energy was.

Liari frowned as Maycair took their SWEET TIME smashing into the boulder with blasts that might as well have been prison-spoons with how well they tunneled through rock! The poor demon... thing HAD power (granted, it wasn't a lot), so this rock should have been ash AGES ago! It was just a rock! ...Best she could do was crumble it though... and it took a lot of her stamina to do so.
"...Is that really the best you can do...?" Liari muttered, rubbing the back of her neck! Okay... Barely able to fly straight if anxious, can summon ki-blasts but not very strong ones... And yet, Maycair had the power to turn most humans inside out if she breathed on them the wrong way... This world was weird... Ayu had weird friends... Maycair would answer the majin's questions, however, musing that she could ONLY REALLY get her power flowing when she was mad.
...Boy, was THAT a familiar story.
A lot of sayains and Liari herself had something like that, rage overriding any automatic restrictions that might've kept their actions and power in check. It was all about getting those walls down and allowing the power to flow naturally to one's beck and call. ...Apparently Maycair hadn't learned how to do that either.
"...So... think of something and get mad, then." Liari stated flatly, as if it were the easiest thing in the world to do. "Someone just picked your pocket and got away or.... I dunno... You woke up this morning and found out you were ugly for some reason. Try to work yourself up. I'll be right back."
...And with that, the majin would walk back over to Ayu to see how she was doing! ...As she drew closer, though, she saw not the glow of a modest energy-sphere being held between her hands, but... but an APPLE!? WHERE DID SHE GET THAT FROM!? THEY WERE IN A DESERT! What was more, Liari didn't exactly hear or SEE an explosion that might indicate Ayu lost control of it... just... a round, full and healthy apple with skin so supple and shiny that the sun's rays GLINTED off its colorful hide! ...Was this what happened to that energy sphere...?
"...Ayu... You can't beat people up with fruit." Liari stated flatly with an unimpressed frown... before flashing Ayu a big grin! SHE WAS JOKING, OF COURSE. Fruit made excellent projectiles if thrown hard enough. "...Maybe it's my power that is somehow interfering with yours.... Here..." The majin would take the apple and set it aside, instead taking her sister's hands in hers and slowly shaping them as if she were cradling a ball in her hands!
"...Imagine you're holding a fish-bowl... It's empty and needs to be filled... imagine you're filling it with energy instead of water... make it fill the round shape of the bowel... okay...?" Liari would smile patiently, softly rubbing the back of Ayu's hands with her thumbs in a soothing manner before slowly backing away, allowing her older sibling to take the reigns again!
"...And don't think about fruit. You can have a snack later." She winked at her sibling before heading back to Maycair, her expression HARDENING into something resembling that of a drill sergeant!
"Mad, yet?" She stated roughly before closing in on the blue-skinned demon, leaning down so that her face hung over Maycair's! "You call this power? You couldn't generate enough energy to toast bread, let alone destroy THAT boulder." She pointed towards a NEW big rock-thing off in the distance without even looking its way, a MASSIVE pillar of stone that bordered on a CLIFF rather than a mere rock! "I don't want excuses. I want results. I want that rock destroyed; do you understand me? DESTROYED. Now DO IT."
...Liari winced as she screamed that command at Maycair, her hand nearly shooting up to grab her head... Not another vision... Not now...
Behind her eyes, Liari saw... or rather felt her neck being PULLED upon as something DRAGGED her behind them, their fingers DIGGING into her... breastplate as her body hung limply in front of her! Her feet drug upon the barren earth of a dead world, miles of nothing but flattened, leveled earth with the only disturbance being the small cloud of dust left behind as Liari was pulled across the ground! Suddenly, she was FLYING through the air before SLAMMING into the ground in front of a pile of.... a pile of......
....Bodies....? Alien bodies Liari couldn't identify, her eyes shooting WIDE as she stumbled back, only for a SPADE to suddenly SPEAR the ground in front of her, halting her retreat!
"Dig. DO IT!" ...a familiar voice COMMANDED her.... Liari looking up... to see that MAJIN AGAIN!
"Nnngh..." Liari groaned, shaking her head, the vision disappearing as fast as it had come on... She blinked, as if SHOCKED by the brightness of the sun and her surroundings... before remembering where she was and turning back to Maycair.
"What are you looking at...?" She grumbled, still holding her head! "...Do what I say: DESTROY it!"

The training session was going as well as May thought it was going to go. The efforts she had put into destroying the rock were viewed as rather pathetic. With someone of her control and strength, she should have been more than strong enough to destroy a small boulder, she had the capability of walking right up to it, grabbing it with her hands and throwing it into the air. So why couldn't she do something as simple as blasting it? Was it the fear, the worry that she would be stomped out? Every time she tried to do her best she was weak, she was always looked down on no matter how much training she had done. The Majin wasn't exactly wrong about the source of strength, that didn't mean it felt nice trying to tap into something that felt so awful to use. Controlling it was a big part of this journey, but it felt uncomfortable after that unfortunate Monk situation.
A repeat of the incident would be devastating to her ego. A slaughter, a mass attack, those things were all possible with the wrath tucked inside. It wouldn't be her first slaying if it happened, but it wasn't something she found pride in, it was often meant as self-defense. This rock didn't want to hurt her, but she couldn't really harm it so it was confusing why she kept putting the breaks. Ayu's issue seemed to be completely different than her own in their performance. She was able to give a more powerful output but they weren't exactly offensive skills. To tap into her anger, to show she could grow with these strangers she would have to dig into some uncomfortable places. Her parents were always a great reminder, the way they poked was always less than helpful, it was never about tapping into her power with them, for that pair it was always about control. May was their weapon, their tool for destruction. She wasn't meant for independence, she was meant to be pointed, told to kill, her autonomy was poison to their dreams. That turned blood to venom, tears to vile spit, it stoked such hateful things for the fire of May's ki. She didn't need the words, the stoking of someone who didn't know of the pain she felt, if they wanted to feel it then it would be seen. The Blight would start to seep in, her ki tainted by the demon magic residing in her heart.
The output of her power wasn't impressive, not compared to these two titans, but it would certainly be felt, the growth she had been undergoing. The aura around May turned Magenta, her eyes shifting as well. May was told to destroy this rock, she was going to vaporize it if needed. There was hate within this halfling, that's what it was more than anything that feeling she had felt so long ago. In a moment trapped in a glass dome, pain preserved in memory, it was too painful, to acknowledge, to not have run away, The ones who should've loved her inflicted nothing but pain, the first she trusted on her own became a tormentor. He was the jailor of nostalgic pain and her first true friend. It was hurtful, gutwrenching to tap into such feelings. The uncomfortable was always the way to growth, or it seemed to be the most successful path.
What she didn't need more of was pestering from Liari, something from her was like oil thrown right into the flame. It only stoked her more, feeding the power that was growing. Did she want to see anger? She wanted to see May let that rage out, if only they had a full moon, but it was enough to reckless destroy the environment. May lifted her palm, arcing her fingertip, the air snapping around as Ki began to gather. It was rushing through, each blast it, each commanding roar from Liari stoked the anger. This was hers, the attack was Her, so it was only right she had to say over it. It was stupid to show such a display of aggression but the match had already been lit, so close to the powderkeg.
Maycair would Generate the largest Blackhole bomber she could, charging the attack. It would build, it wasn't the only thing that was beginning to build. "You want to see my anger, you want to see how angry I can get? THEN I'LL SHOW YOU MY RAGE! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHH!" She roared letting go of the Ki blast, it would fly towards the remnants of the rock, blowing it away and some of the earth. That wasn't enough, she needed more, so a larger boulder was next, another blitzing blast of Ki. It wasn't enough, more and more of this anger needed to be vented. Tears slowly began to swell from the corners of her eyes, a little too small to see. Now it wasn't just the targets Maycair was just releasing blasts of her energy into the earth destroying the earth to slowly dig up a crater. It could be used as a grave for her if this display of emotion was more than enough to set them off. If Ayu were scared Maycair believed from Liari's current impression that she would have no issue inflicting pain on the hybrid.
After a couple of minutes, the small emotional breakdown she had would end, she bit her lip hoping it would be more impressive how she had managed to do something right. Her experience was that her guesses were genuinely wrong, so that meant she would likely be shunned. She was just so sick of feeling alone, of feeling weak. She was growing, it was a process but after so long, holding it and only focusing on the feelings rather than going through them was proving to be incredibly toxic. Maycair wanted to be better, to be able to learn from people like this. Maybe it was fate, more than just an accident or a mistake born of her fear. If they didn't reject her, May was sure she'd grow.
