Ryme could barely contain his excitement, the tome he had translated on the last planet indicated that this planet was where the seed was kept. He would soon be able to head back toward Earth. Ryme hoped that he and his brother wouldn't need to split again for quite some time. As they started to get within sight range of the planet, Ryme would be surprised by the lack of security. Especially considering he had been stopped by patrols on the last couple of planets. He wouldn't complain about his good turn of fortune. He'd spy the location while in orbit through the ship. A single temple stood, the temple didn't illustrate how large of a building it was. More like a lord's castle or manor designed with a temple aesthetic. The whole planet was a sprawling jungle, Ryme wasn't sure how he felt about jungle planets' humidity yet. He would gulp as he parked the ship a couple of miles away from the temple/compound. This should be his last stop, he wondered what the seed even looked like.
On the bright side, once he had the seed, he could destroy the ceiling and let the building collapse inward. That would solve the problem of vengeance as well. Granted one changeling, one who was relatively unknown didn't have much to fear for retaliation. Ryme preferred to be safe than sorry and keep his anonymity. He'd watch the outside of the temple, Ryme was in luck it seemed that these cultists wore the typical hood and robe. Which meant he could conceal himself by grabbing one who was around his size. It'd take an hour, but Ryme would find his suitable target by putting on his robe and hood. Then he'd walk back over to the young man. Initially, Ryme had only knocked him out, he couldn't afford to be made so now he'd snap the man's neck and hide him in the brush. Then he'd walk back to the temple, he had learned this trick multiple times on Frost sneaking around his father's company. If you looked confident no one would stop you from going almost anywhere.
So far, Ryme had found 4 different living spaces, 1 training ground, and 1 large lecture hall. He would continue to wander, looking for anything that would resemble a vault or somewhere to keep a legendary seed. That's when he would get kicked by surprise, he didn't even see where the assailant came from. He would crash into the wall leaving a crater, as he could hear evacuation bells being rung around the compound. He was seeing spots in his vision as a hooded figure revealed his face. Some kind of alien race that Ryme didn't recognize. That hurt, guess it's finally time to take the weights off. Was hoping I could make it the whole journey with them.
Ryme would drop his weighted clothing and robe off, revealing his true power. The foe would hesitate, and Ryme would meet it with a pure offensive. Firing off a barrage of Ki Bursts, then rushing in to get a kick in revenge. The kick would almost connect instead, his foot was grabbed and Ryme was thrown straight into another wall. Then he was pressed by his alien opponent, who would unload a machine-gun barrage of punches.
Ryme would throw a ball in the direction of the punches, unsure if he hit the alien. The punches stopped, as the dust cleared in their near vicinity. Ryme would charge another Ki Ball, waiting to hear what direction the man came from. As soon as he heard shifting rocks he'd toss the ball, guessing accurately hearing the man's scream. The next sound was a fall, Ryme would rush in that direction. His opponent was on the ground holding his side. He wouldn't think just stomp, the cracking sound eventually giving way to a sickly squelch as Ryme stomped over and over. Tired Ryme would put back on his weighted clothing before walking out the room.
Right in front of him was a young man sweating profusely in his hands he held a case, some kind of protective paneling. There was a single seed inside before the man even had a chance to speak. Ryme jabbed straight at his Adam's apple. Catching the case as the boy fell to the ground, the last thing he'd see in his life was the flash of Ryme's Ki Blast. Ryme would charge another Ki Ball throwing it at the ceiling to create an escape for himself. Flying out he'd return to his ship, ready to finally go back to his home, his brother.
