This was a bit of a strange day for Arlic. It wasn't every day that he would get visitors to his home, but he came back to find out that his place was robbed. The place wasn't trashed except for the fact that his defense turrets and mechanisms were deactivated, as well as the laser alarm system being completely avoided.
"Hm..."
Looking back at it, the thief probably didn't have to even set off the alarm if they didn't want to, they actually decided to trip the alarm on the way out in order to alert Arlic and left him a note. This thieving group was bold, or maybe it was the leader that was the most impressive of the bunch.
"Consider this as an invitation to our next heist. If you are willing to talk in person, let's meet up in a neutral area. If I find you at the bamboo forest in the eastern continent in the next 24 hours, it's safe to assume you accepted my invitation. Hoping for a positive outcome.
Yours's truly,
Nine Lives Haywood"
Studying the note, the name Haywood did ring a bell. Brandon Haywood, he was an infamous thief that had a legend to him. This man managed to escape deadly situations that would have certainty have cost him his life if he didn't manage to do so. He was like a cat that always landed on his feet no matter how things went down, and just like a cat, it seemed that Haywood had multiple lives to spare.
Arlic started to get curious, he wondered what kind of business this man had with him and wanted to know more about this deal that he wanted to make.
"Sir, should I prepare the chopper?"
"No need, I think I'll go at it alone this time. "
Arlic said this as he started to fly and took off in the direction of the eastern continent. There were plenty of ways that he could handle this, but Arlic wanted to be careful with how he approached this. If he managed to make a strong connection with this legendary thief, maybe he could keep contact and hire him as well?
"These kind of opportunities don't appear by mere coincidence, lady luck must be finally smiling upon me. As for Haywood, maybe it's about time to see if he has nine lives or not after a meeting with me."
