JoreyPL: 29,798 (Current at 7,450)Super Heavy Weights in usePre-Workout Mix in use (1)Current Location: South City Current Timeframe: DaytimeBeing able to sense Ki was a huge help to Jorey ever since he learned it. He was a breath of fresh air, not having to use a scouter anymore. It was somehow very refreshing and empowering. It felt like Jorey was more connected to the planet, more connected to nature. Well, it wasn't like he cared much for the planet or really nature at this point in time, but for some reason, it felt nice. His pride wouldn't get in the way of saying that out loud if he had to. In fact, he might just do that. Today's ventures involved Jorey scouting out South City. He learned about it from listening in on some other people talking about vacationing areas to the islands nearby this place. It seemed like a very nice part of the planet, one Jorey would much rather live in instead of Yunzabit Heights. In fact, he might just relocate to here. It's not like he had any belongings with him anyway, save the handkerchief on his wrist that was given to him by Ayu. The Saiyan smirked as he looked down upon the whole area of South City, dangling one of his legs from a tall building and sitting on the ledge. His tail was tucked into his bodysuit as to avoid any suspicion from any Earthlings that he was a Saiyan. He didn't know how long it'd be until they finally began to trust Saiyans again. Jorey figured that, if anything, a Saiyan would have to save the Earth. There would have to be some dramatic battle taking place somewhere, maybe televised for the whole world to see, and it would have to show that a Saiyan was saving the world from utter doom brought forth by another species. It could be alien, or it could be another Earthling. Wait, why does this plot sound oddly familiar. The islands around South City would make for an excellent training spot. Just looking at them span across the ocean made Jorey uncontrollably excited. Even though he had his weights on and was suppressing his power, he couldn't help but let his Ki show and his power flicker a little bit. He was just imagining it, sparring over the ocean, diving headfirst into the water to continue combat, dancing from island to island as each combatant kept shooting at each other, throwing fists, kicks, and Ki blasts alike, to see who would come out as the victor in this kind of battle. The tension built up too much inside Jorey. He got way too excited. Suddenly, he stood up on the building and let his Ki flare outward. His face plastered an uncontrollable smile onto his face. "That's it! I'm moving to South City!!"
Jorey shot himself up into the air, looking around him as he did so. There were countless islands as far as the eye could see, nothing but untapped battleground potential. The world was his oyster, and he couldn't wait to put everything into practice. There was nothing up there in Yunzabit, anyway. Jorey didn't HAVE to return to that place. Suddenly, he remembered Dyve, and stopped dead in his tracks. His excitement left him, as he thought of a way to deal with that. The Saiyan scratched his head and thought of a way to circumvent the impending problem he'd have to deal with if he just changed locations without Dyve knowing. Slowly, he descended to the streets inconspicuously, coming out of an alleyway. The gears in his brain were turning, coming up with a scheme. "Well, I could do one of two things. Either I go out and look for Dyve, which is definitely a quicker solution, or I could wait for her at Yunzabit and then let her know she could find me in the islands down here from now on. I'm sure the change of scenery would be to her liking, anyway. Earthlings love their vacation spots, for some reason."
While South City and its neighboring islands could be seen as vacation spots, Jorey could care less about how people felt about them. Besides, if he really didn't want to cause and inconvenience to the people who lived here or vacationed here, he could find other islands nearby South City that people don't really go to. There were bound to be some places uninhabited by Earthlings, and the ocean was most likely one of them. Jorey hadn't heard of an Earthling capable of breathing or living underwater, yet, and he doubted he'd find one anytime soon. In the meantime, Jorey would take everything in a bit more. Casually, the Saiyan walked about the streets of South City, making his way to the shore, where he would fly across the ocean and look for an island to train on for a bit. That was once he got to the shore. For now, he would look at the shops and buildings and other attractions South City had to offer. It would be worth it to get familiar with the land if he was going to set up residency here, soon. Word Count: 874

The stinging sun and singing cicadas of the summer, of South City was always welcomed. Hell was generally a hundred times hotter to her, but this was better than some of the colder cities. The warm was a unique comfort, even stranger considering her disdain for here demon heritage. She’d had her father’s home world as well if she had ever visited it. Earth was rather subpar, though it was one of the few places that she could find any sort of semblance of peace. Nausea started to wash over her, the thought of her dead father, the mother she ran from, it was enough to turn her stomach upside down.
“Maybe I should get something to eat, that should calm me down somewhat…” May had muttered to herself. Holding conversations with herself was commonplace. She didn’t associate with too many people to socialize with, so her main partner for banter was herself. Continuing she’d start pondering ideas for what to eat. “I could go for some ramen, maybe a chili dog and some fries that could be good. No I need something less messy to eat on the go. Oh I could just grab a sandwich, that could be okay as long as I don’t load up on sauces..” While talking to herself she would begin to attract attention, her words honey that brought in the flies. It wasn’t anything good, or for May it wasn’t. The extra attention was generally unwanted, still she was a saiyan and demon, didn’t help she wasn’t even five foot. Though, her voice must have been seven foot tall as the people from over 200 feet away were stopping to stare. It was easy to luck crazy if you’re Maycair, her appearance doesn’t really scream put together.
Putting her gruff style aside, the hybrid picked up pace in getting away from the persecuting gaze of others. Food would raise her spirits. After that she could probably head over to a random island to be alone for the night. It would’ve been nice to have someone to hang out with, but pushing people away just so happened to be her special skill. A complex was forming in the back of her mind, a leaky faulty dripping from mundane to maddening. The trickle weathering away each thought, the cerebral corrosion just pressuring May into anxiety. The feeling of a thousand fits swelled within her chest, hoping to break free, to get her out of this nightmares.
The judging eyes were enough, with each step though a more gruesome beast appeared, Their comments, how she was unwanted, an angry beast. That’s not who she wanted to be, it wasn’t easy always coming across so angry, that ferocity decimated friendships. She was a volatile cocktail of pent up frustration, of burning fear. The emotions were a torrential storm, she really needed to get that sandwich. Even as panic nipped away at her mind the young Maycair would see her quest had reached its’ end. The shop seemed like stew beef, mostly of salty pork. From the looks of it,, the owner sold a large variety of things. It would only take her a moment to look at the menu.
“I think I’ll have the midnight sandwich, a generic cola on the side to drink as well.” She ordered, knowing what was generally suitable to her pallet. The smell of citrus and roasted big shoulder lifted her by the nose, further into the building. The crowd inside seemed rather nice, no passive aggressive statements to push May over the edge. After some patient waiting, she wasn’t handed her lunch while being ushered out the door. Seemed Ike it would be necessary with the crowds the began to gather. “Thankfully I’ll have some energy! I’ve been working myself out.” Exhaustion was beginning to creep, its’ sand weighing down the eyes in a futile effort to stay awake. The caffeine in the pop brought pep back into her step, the protein in the sandwich helping heal back some the damage she got the other day. A broken rib or two was never fun, then again neither is spending your time traveling the world with no connections.
The lack of companionship, that was something that had been eating away at her for months. Was she ever going to be enough, was it possible for Maycair to stand up the parent she didn’t kill? It was a moral struggle, the main reason she was who she was. The demon world wished to mold her into a puppet, her father only saw a weapon. Once again, the thoughts began to create a mental build up, if let it grow worse it eat her alive. So, hoping to distract herself, the warm wave of ecstasy rolled over with each bite of the slow cooked pork. This was bliss, it was also a rather unhelpful distraction. It caused her to completely miss bumping into a strange man, the thud causing a shock that brought her back to reality. The sandwich was fortunate enough to not crash on the ground.
“Sorry, I wasn’t paying attention to where I was goin-“ She interrupted herself, the power of this strange man caused a shock to dart up her spine. She used her Ki sense to feel him, they power he resonated happened to be much higher than hers. She wasn’t sure if that was the extant to this man’s power, still caution rose over her unsure of what could follow up. Hopefully he wasn’t the type that would absolutely squash someone for an accident.

No doubt, this place was definitely the place to live. South City was immediately deemed the new habitation Jorey would live in. Well, it would most likely be the islands of South City he'd be living on, which would be so much better. Just thinking about it sent exciting chills down Jorey's spine. He could wake up in the morning, bright and early, dive straight into the ocean for either a shower, some food, or both. Then, he would get some training in, altering the landscape around him if he overdoes it. Afterwards, he could go back in the water to cool his muscles and cool off in general after training. Hell, training with the weights he currently has one while underwater would also be insanely cool. The possibilities were practically endless. He could find a nearby waterfall on one of the islands and train there. He could try benchpressing some of the mountains nearby, if there are any. He could do anything, except train at higher gravity levels. That would have to wait until Quash got here. Still, though, training with someone else here would be the best way to spend it. Two people would reap the benefits of training that way, and Jorey would get a lot more work in than doing something like image training, or solo training. Maybe Jorey could look for people to train with instead of just exploring. However, despite how great it sounded to train with someone right now, it was a little more important for Jorey to find out what South City has to offer. If there came a time where Jorey had to spend money, he would like to know where he could get what. Always be prepared for anything, especially last minute necessities. He'd found some fishing stores—nowhere close to being an interest to him—some hotels, grocery stores, places for his very own training needs. He was even able to find a place that taught martial arts. Such a thing made the Saiyan laugh to himself. Please. How could Earthling martial arts compare anything to the Saiyan martial arts that I know...Wait, I forgot, I don't know Saiyan martial arts that well. I was taught at a young age, but developed my own style, influenced by many different alien races. Huh...Y'know, now that I think about it, I really didn't have a childhood at all.
Lost in thought, Jorey found himself walking by a few restaurants. The Saiyan wasn't quite hungry yet, so he brushed it off to continue thinking about his childhood. His mind was so preoccupied, that he almost didn't recognize the stronger than average power level nearby. He suddenly stopped, feeling how close the presence was. It was nowhere close to his full strength without wearing the weights, but it was considerably higher than any of these other Earthlings' power. There was also something familiar about this Ki, almost familial. Almost right after he stopped in his tracks, the individual with said power level walked right into him and bumped into his back. Immediately, Jorey turned around with a glare and looked at the person who walked into him. The individual in question was a lot shorter than Jorey, by over a whole foot. It was surprising to see. While he was above average height for Earthlings, for some reason, a lot of the people he met with higher than average energy levels were taller than him. Hell, there were even some girls who were taller than him. It was very concerning, for someone who was preoccupied with toxic masculinity. For Jorey, it made him wonder if he was just a midget at times. There were some moments he'd stay up at night thinking about it, wondering what was wrong with him. Then, he'd just chalk it up to mere coincidence and go to sleep, relaxing himself since he was still above average height compared to thousands and millions of over people. It was a reoccurring thought process, only happening at random moments when Jorey didn't remember there was a massive power level somewhere on this planet that could just wipe everyone off the face of the Earth in less than a second. Speaking of that large power level, this individual had something else about her that reminded her of that large power level: she was blue. Seeing that almost made Jorey jump back and get defensive, but he immediately shot that sentiment down after he noticed that she was a lot different from Liari. Her power level was much weaker, and her Ki didn't feel like it encompassed a familiar feeling. Rather, this Ki WAS a familiar feeling. It made Jorey even more intrigued and interested in her. Realizing that he was glaring at the woman with battle eyes, Jorey relaxed himself and turned himself to completely face the individual. "Oh, you don't gotta apologize for that. I wasn't really paying attention, either."
The Saiyan looked back down, scanning the woman in front of him as if he was trying to read where she was from. Her energy was definitely familiar, but he needed to be cautious around her. She felt like she was a Saiyan, but Jorey also felt some strange, malicious energy coming from her. It felt out of this world, out of this plane of existence. It felt very supernatural, but the Saiyan was wholly unfamiliar with this kind of energy. The only thing that felt familiar to this was Liari's energy. Although, for some reason, Athren and Zerori's images popped into Jorey's head, too. There was no use in continuing to think about this. There would be an awkward silence around them if Jorey didn't speak soon. And so, he did just that, his voice sincere and calm. "Y'know, there's something familiar about you, and your energy. Not really sure what it is."
Jorey paused a bit and leaned in closer, to avoid idle ears hearing what he was saying to the woman. The less attention that was dragged, the better. The Saiyan whispered to the blue woman, not trying to raise a scene. "You a Saiyan, or something?"

It wasn’t normal for her to meet people that may be aware of her saiyan heritage. She couldn’t tell if he was hiding a tail but it was possible from his features that he could’ve been. Still, they did blend in pretty well with humans. She wasn’t really proud of it, for her it was another reason for the endless rage, the torrent that ripped through every nerve, biting at every synapse. It was the worst kind of reminder of her past. Though maybe acceptance was the first step for getting past it. Maybe if May couldn’t accept it, she could be fine with. Meekly May would respond. “Yes, but only partially, I’m also a demon, but I don’t really belong as either so I would appreciate it if you called me Maycair.”
She would usher them both to the side, not to roughly on the chance that trademark Saiyan rage would shine through. Every time she thought about it the only image she could imagine of that was her father. All of her other half’s race couldn’t be that awful, she couldn’t say the same for demons. “Even if you were whispering that why are you going out of the way to mention something like that. Last I checked we weren’t exactly the most beloved people on this planet. I’ve even heard rumors about some of the saiyan species.” May said, flicking her blue tail at him, showing that she was telling the truth. She was a weird creature indeed but she was a saiyan, even only a halfling.
She would feel a bit of frustration, continuing to speak again forgetting the position she was in. “Hybrids generally aren’t treated well, especially when to most you look alien or monstrous. I’m gonna exit out of here in a moment, I’m just looking for a place to eat I don’t want any fights. I’ve already had enough people coming after me for who I am. So please, I just want to find my way out, rest and for once be able to stay in a city for more than a night before I have to be on the run again. I like the climate, the food, the only two things that can ever welcome me.”
The emotion she felt radiated from her face with a strong sense of identity. May had to stand firm, to learn how to be strong without being off putting. She was learning, or at least hoping to. May would fight, it didn’t matter who. She wasn’t asking for it but she had already been abused enough. There was no reason to judge this man, not really, but there wasn’t a reason to trust him either.

It wasn't every day you see someone with blue skin, but also resembling a Saiyan. Yes, it was very unusual, and she seemed straight up like an alien with that appearance. There was nothing wrong with that, but with Earth in turmoil and paranoia due to the Saiyan attack on Orange City that Jorey DEFINITELY wasn't a part of at all, it was very easy to be suspicious of everyone on the planet that looked humanoid but had subtle differences. Hell, she even had a tail. He never saw one that looked blue, though. It was very interesting to look at, as if Jorey was a little kid learning about a new species of animal that he hadn't seen before. The pureblood Saiyan let the woman be aggressive with him as she explained herself. It wasn't like Jorey was going to be pressed about her being that way, she seemed very edgy just like he is. It's just how their nature is. Finding out she's a demon was surely something very interesting and intriguing. He reacted by crossing his arms and raising his eyebrows. He kept his voice low enough for just this new person to hear. "Oh, a demon, huh? I didn't know demons and Saiyans could have a relationship like that. That explains that other energy you got inside you, and that blue skin."
The pureblood was also very surprised when the demon-Saiyan brought them both to the side of the road. He raised an eyebrow in confusion, but obvious surprise. He didn't expect her to be that wary of their surroundings and their situation. Whether or not she knew about the situation here on Earth due to Orange City was not confirmed by Jorey, but he had some speculations. Well, even though she's brandishing her tail like that in public, these people don't seem to think she's a Saiyan at all. It's prolly 'cuz of the fact that the only resemblance she has to a Saiyan is her energy and her tail. These Earthlings can't tell the difference in Ki signatures without any training, though, so she'll be fine in that aspect. Even if she did know about the Orange City incident, she obviously doesn't suspect me of being one of those people involved. It would be best to keep that under wraps for as long as I can, even IF I never wanted to be a part of it.
She knew something about the Saiyan people, but Jorey wondered if whatever she knew involved just the Saiyan reputation on Earth, or the Saiyan reputation in general, as well. In regards to the reputation of Saiyans in general, well, there was no use helping that. The Saiyans were the way that they were and Jorey couldn't improve that or make it any worse as it is, right now. However, just considering the reputation of the Saiyans on Earth, now, that was something Jorey could help. To respond to the woman in front of him, Jorey spoke candidly and quietly, scratching the back of his head. "Well, even if we aren't welcome on this planet as it is right now, they can't really do anything about it if we hide it, right? Without concrete evidence, they can't know who we are. Besides, if we don't show up in public too often, it'd be like we ain't even there."
It turns out this girl really was passionate about her heritage. She had the pride of a Saiyan with her sense of identity, for sure, but there was also a rare sense of caution that you don't see in a lot of Saiyans. That was a side Jorey would come to admire. A lot of Saiyans don't understand the concept of throwing caution to the wind. They let their pride get in the way a lot of times, which can bring about the downfall of so many different, arrogant people. Even if Jorey was a Saiyan, his connection to Saiyan pride wasn't that deep. He held onto his pride dearly, but not so much that he'd voluntarily commit suicide over it, without thinking much of it. There was a huge sense of distrust coming from her, or maybe a more accurate word to describe it would be that she's wary. She claimed that hybrids weren't really treated well, which wasn't a concept Jorey could neither confirm nor deny. He hadn't met too many hybrids in his life, and those he did meet, he actually just didn't know they were hybrids. He never saw any discrimination coming from individuals that were hybrids, unless it was due to some cultish or taboo beliefs. Usually, genocide would take place for those kinds of attitudes, just to ensure that everyone's "safe." It seemed like this woman had a rough time being a hybrid, though. Such a pity, that people still discriminate based on appearances. However, this might have been a chance to take advantage of this woman in a way. Of course, Jorey doesn't actually plan on abusing this woman and discriminating her. He had no problems with her being both Saiyan and Makai, but her power level was considerably higher than everyone else's here. After the beating he'd received from Liari, Jorey had been itching to get stronger as quickly as possible. This would be a great time to put that plan into action. Training with another person is a great way for two people to get stronger as quickly as possible. Even though she was on her way from a restaurant, Jorey felt she could use the training. The pureblood decided he'd take matters into his own hands to make sure she stayed around for training. He had an idea, but he didn't like he was going to have to resort to it. He'd have to clear up the misunderstandings later. "Really? I mean, with a power level that low, I guess the only things you'd be good for are looking around finding some place to eat. Where's that battle sense of yours? You can feel how strong I am, right? And you don't wanna just step up to a challenge?"
Jorey crossed his arms once more and developed a devilish smile on his face, cocking his head backwards a bit. "Your parents must not have taught you how to fight. What a disappointment all of you are."
Jorey had hoped that this provocation would work in making the woman want to fight him. If that was the case, the pureblood would then put his plan into action, trying to take her into the air and bring her to another island so that they don't disturb the peace these Earthlings are going through. It'd also be best not to try and attract so much attention to themselves, so they could battle it out without gazing eyes. However, Jorey would cross that bridge when he gets to it. Word Count: 1,145

There really was all sorts of people, but he wasn’t wrong to question relations between demons and saiyans. To her knowledge it wasn’t really a popular combination. She wasn’t sure of the possibility that it all invited into her life, into her power. Was now really time to be considering those specifics? Maycair thought he didn’t seem to have any care for the trouble that they could cause. He was right in the fact they might not have been able to tell who she was, or what they were that didn’t mean it was trouble just flaunting it. The people of earth didn’t always seem the most accepting, plus you couldn’t just take over the world could you?
There were certainly those who would try. There was from what she could tell still plenty of those that liked to start fights. This strange man, who didn’t even care to share his name would insult her. He wasn’t wrong in calling her weak, or to say she had no fighting sense. For May it still stoked anger, her conflicting rage was being stoked by a random ape of all things. Saiyans, just like her dad they always choose the coals before the kindle. It was annoying, really annoying, did he want a fight he’d get a fight. Her eyes flickered with a familiar anger as her tooth flared. No she needed better self control then that. “Yeah you’re right my parents didn’t teach me to fight well, they were a disappointment. Thank you for your concern.”
May wanted to turn around, to walk away from the anger he was stoking in her but, frankly she didn’t like his attitude. He could kick her ass but, honestly who cared. With a sharp tone she would answer his earlier question. “Yeah you’re right, I can sense how strong you are. I can’t say I’m looking for challenges with gorillas, I’ve often found they have a habit for abuse. I guess when that strength is all you focus on it just constricts your brain. They would explain why you are they way you are.” She was never really one to throw the first punch. She probably deserved a smack to the face but honestly the disrespect she had been facing these past few weeks had been an all time high. She wasn’t going to win the fights, but if she tapped into her demonic energy she could hopefully get away with a couple of solid hits.
“If you’re wanting to fight I hope you have the sense to not cause a scene, now if you’re gonna stop me from getting my meal should we take this somewhere else? I’m sure two stupid monkeys could find a more suitable jungle to play in.” She wasn’t above insulting herself, she did disdain her two halves. She would be better than them both, be something different. Maycair wasn’t going to be the stereotypes people saw. If she was going to fight, if she was going to be angry it would be for her causes. She could die, she could be broken but not more would she be talked down too. She tried to talk to herself, to calm the raging beasts in her heart. Frankly though, at this moment she did not give a care.

At first, Jorey was going to be a little disappointed that his provocation didn't work on the demon-Saiyan. It seemed like her sense of pride wasn't going to let her succumb to an obvious provocation like that. It was clear that she was frustrated and possibly even angry due to the words of the pureblood Saiyan, but it didn't seem like she was going to fall for it at all. While disappointment was settling into Jorey, it's not like he was legitimately going to be pissed about not getting to train with her. He'd just go about his day, exploring just a little bit more, and then head out to the islands to find a suitable one for training. The Saiyan kept looking at her with the same look he had before. He wasn't really fazed by her comebacks, as they were naturally in response to Jorey insulting her in the first place. It's exactly what he deserves, and he ultimately did all this to try and get a training partner. There probably were better ways to go about this, but ultimately, Jorey thought this would be the best way. Ah, well, ain't no point getting pissed she won't bite it. I can just get to training whenever I want, at that point.
Fortunately for Jorey, the Demon-Saiyan actually ended up buying into the bait. The pureblood rose his eyebrows in surprise, impressed at her sudden conviction as much as he was surprised. He uncrossed his arms, lowering his head a bit and narrowing his eyebrows. Oh, jackpot.
He chuckled a little in amusement. This was going to be an interesting training session. Jorey doesn't remember fighting with a Saiyan mixed with a Makai, but there's a first time for everything. He was also pleased that this woman had enough decency for the people around her to not want to attract attention. Besides, it would be more fun hopping from island to island, or dancing across the water in combat. He could feel her energy getting more and more agitated, raring to go in a brawl. All according to plan. Well, not entirely according to plan, but as close as it could be. At the end of the day, it still worked, surprisingly enough. With that, Jorey would address the Demon-Saiyan and take to the skies. "Now, you're speaking my language. Follow me, there are some nice, uninhabited islands here. Really nice scenery for a fight, if I do say so myself."
Without even knowing it, Jorey was unintentionally showing his excitement for this fight. His sudden fetish to fight in the islands was being displayed right on his face, his lips forming an overexcited smile, and his eyes more determined than a politician attempting to win some presidency. Lifting himself in the air, Jorey would shoot up and out, heading straight towards the coast and past it. He assumed the blue-skinned woman would follow close behind, and he made sure not to go too fast either. He had no doubt in his mind she could keep up, though. The crowd of South City would watch them lift up into the sky and shoot outwards, but they wouldn't be looking in fear or disgust. They wouldn't be able to tell that the Demon-Saiyan was exactly that, with her blue skin and everything. Many beast folk lived on Earth, so some of them would assume that she was one of them. Others would assume she's a powerful alien, but not necessarily a Saiyan. What Saiyan would you see with blue skin like that? Because Jorey was hiding his tail, they'd assume he was a powerful Earthling. Regardless, the spectacle they saw before them would be a surprising and interesting one, not something worth their negative attention. As such, Jorey and his training partner would be able to make it out of South City, without a single problem. The pureblood would fly in a straight line, looking side to side at the many different islands, searching for signs of animal or human life in all of them. If they caught people in the crossfire, that would only ruin the Saiyan reputation even more. Plus, Jorey wanted a place where he could let his tail out without people looking. Very soon, Jorey would find the exact island he was looking for. There were plenty others, but this one had a waterfall in it, along with no signs of human or animal life. He smiled and looked behind himself, assuming his training partner was still there. "Let's head down to this one. I don't sense any life from this one, and it has some nice scenery."
Jorey realized he was probably being too casual with his training partner. While he was able to find one, it slipped his mind that he kind of provoked her into fighting him. In the back of his mind, Jorey reprimanded himself for that. Oh, right. I forgot I kinda shit talked her into doing this...Huh...I'll clear that up when we're done training for the day. Bad, Jorey. What would Ayu think of you?
The pureblood lowered himself to the ground, touching down and taking in the scenery around him. Just looking around was enough to get his Saiyan blood pumping. The excitement was almost too much to contain. The smirk on his face grew even more as he looked around, then back over the ocean behind him. Other islands dotted the horizon, decorating his mind with different ideas of combat, as well as decorating the scenery itself. It was the perfect battlefield in the mind of this Saiyan. Assuming his training partner would land with him, he would turn to her and cross his arms once more to talk just a little bit. "All right, how 'bout we get started. Let's see what you're really made of, hybrid."
Jorey would power up, yelling at the top of his lungs, while his Ki flared around him. A light pinkish-red aura would form around Jorey, then flare up wildly as he powered up to full strength. Well, as close to full strength as he could get with the weights on. With one more loud yell, his Ki burst around him and settled down. He was ready for a fight, now, but he didn't want to be the one to make the first move. Smirking at his opponent, Jorey looked straight into her eyes, determination settling inside of them. "I'm Jorey, by the way. Thought I'd wanna get through introductions before we start."
He then brought up his hand and motioned for his training partner to come at him, his sly smirk still painted on his face. "So, with that, show me your moves!"

Thankfully he had sense to agree with her when it came to changing their locale. May controlled her body, the ki around her boosting until she would levitate. It was always a feeling a freedom to become released from the bonds of gravity. She didn’t admit it much, but the view of soaring over a city was a special kind of refreshment. The way the people looked, for once not starting in vile hatred, they looked with wonderment, aw. Things she would never be met with if they knew the real her. It was good to enjoy nice things while they lasted. The flight was still a gorgeous view, especially once they hit the coast.
May dipped down, skidding over the waves letting salt rush into her head. It was a cooling feeling that didn’t shoot shivers up her spine. It ran up her nose, nestling in her hair. Maycair knew she needed to calm down, she wasn’t going to get much out of this fight but there was always knowledge. If Maycair had lived then she was going to gain something from the experience. That was all she could ask for but she would give her all. Still, it would send all kinda of emotion into a frenzy, sharks nipping at the bait that had been thrown in the water of her mind. Anxiety was one hell of a beast, one that raged with a ferocity when panic came into the mix.
What was the point of all of this? Did he want to humiliate her, rile her up to havre fun with the results? Only questions came to her mind, and the panic of being a punching bag. It wasn’t good to be prejudice but it wasn’t exactly easy when every time her father hit her he yelled at her to act like “a saiyan”. What did that even mean? He was always spouting some kind of nonsense, well not anymore considering her was dead. Though he could’ve been talking to mom but last she checked their marriage wasn’t exactly rock solid. Maybe it would be better for her to think about the fight that was about come.
The water, the soothing rush of their flight helped bring peace to her soul. He chose a nice island by the looks of it. Whatever life lived here was gone at the moment, they still had a good view of the world around. “Wow looks like you do have some sense that’s a surprise. It is a wonderful choice for our fight, especially if someone ends up buried.” That last thing was a joke, but she realized it may have sound antagonistic. Wait why did she care, he was the one that had started this whole disagreement. Deep down she did still want friends more than anything. No though, the only thing May seemed to find when she went for a walk was trouble. This time was different though, this time it was someone with strength.
May knew she wasn’t the strongest but it had been some years now since a single person had beat on her. She was surprised to see that he had the courtesy to share pleasantries. A smirk showed on her face, Jorey seemed to be an interesting name. May didn’t wish to explain her whole situation, and no one called her Waater. “The name is Maycair, I’d say my friends call me May but I don’t have any.” She stood firm, now that they had shared a small moment of honor the fight was started. Funny enough he even asked her to show her moves. There was no smile on May’s face anymore, but with vigor she snapped back, “Wanna see my moves? Well look behind you.” She made a Blight Shadow from right behind him, from it a Black Hole Bomber formed. It was a weaker attack in all honesty but she wasn’t trying to hurt him. No that was a distraction, one that would likely not last long.
This more than anything was a chance to power up, for her to dip deep into her Demon Blight if she was going to hurt him she would need its’ power. More and more often did the hybrid have to rely on her inner rage. Was that really the source of her power, she did feel more rewarded using that anger. Was that wrong, was she wrong? She didn’t have time to think about it really, her life was on the line.

The flight to the island was a pretty relaxing and nice one. The view was not only a great one, but the excitement Jorey was feeling from the fight he was about to get involved in. The water splashing up from the waterfall or ocean, the sand kicking up into the air with every kick or punch, the grass flowing each time they flew over it or used their Ki, all of it made Jorey's Saiyan blood pump with eagerness. The smile on his face was evidence enough of his excitement, if his Ki wasn't showing any of that excitement mentioned. The pureblood looked down closer to the water and watched as his soon-to-be opponent let herself skid over the ocean surface, splashing water into the air and into her hair. It looked like he wasn't the only one that was going to be enjoying this. His mind trailed off as he watched her. What the hell, that looks cool! I wanna do that, too!
The two of them reached their destination, and they were just about getting started to go at each other in combat. Briefly, thousands of messages and thoughts ran through Jorey's mind, as he studied his opponent one last time. Her build was small, but he could clearly sense her Ki. She wasn't a pushover in the slightest. With his full power, Jorey would probably flatten her out in a second, especially if this really was her full power. However, that wouldn't make it fun in the slightest. A straight up steamrolling wasn't something Jorey wanted. He wanted a challenge; he wanted to train. After the humiliating defeat he faced against Liari, he gained a newfound commitment to get stronger. Sure, it sucked that he lost, but it was more than understandable. Liari was lightyears ahead of the pureblood Saiyan, and he wouldn't be able to keep up with that power or even catch up to it in such a short amount of time. Despite that, he wanted a rematch, and was more than excited to eventually get that. In the meantime, catching up by training was all he could do, and this pretty close fight with his opponent would serve just that purpose. Observing his opponent filled Jorey with curiosity. What exactly was she good at? What were her faults or weaknesses? What could she do as a Demon and a Saiyan? Did she know any magic or techniques that were foreign to the Saiyan race, or any other alien race for that matter? All that would be found out in due time. The woman in front of Jorey complimented his choice in islands, and cracked at it being a great burial place. The comment came a bit as a surprise to Jorey, but not to his dissatisfaction. He laughed at the comment, thoroughly enjoying it, and replied. "I like that spunk. But thanks, I feel like I got a knack for picking these kinda areas. I hope you keep all that spunk when you're punching me in the face!"
The edginess spewing from his opponent was filling Jorey with a newfound sense of comfort and homeliness. The last time he met someone this edgy was when he met Zerori. Thinking of her, Jorey wondered what she was doing. If all goes well, he could have his new training partner meet Zerori. Wait, we could form a badass Saiyan group! That would be fuckin' dope! But, what would we even call ourselves? Five Finger Death Punch? Devil May Cry? Over the Edge...I needa work on my naming skills.
The Demon-Saiyan introduced herself, dubbing herself as Maycair. It was a strange name to Jorey, but of course it would seem that way. She was both Saiyan and Makai. The pureblood assumed that the name she gave him was a culturally normal Demon name, and smiled after hearing it. It was interesting, meeting different people from different cultures and finding out exactly how different they were from each other. Ayu and Plasma definitely had strange names to Jorey, but he never thought they were disgusting or something worth his resentment or anything like that. If anything, he found it interesting how different cultures value different names, and how to some, simple words could even be names. Maycair also mentioned that she had no friends who would call her by her nickname. To that, Jorey laughed heartily, which quickly turned into a relatable and saddened sigh. "Ah, same. I mean, damn, that's rough."
The pureblood cleared his throat, trying to draw attention away from the fact that he related to Maycair, and also acting like he didn't say it in the first place. He figured he did have Ayu, but the two of them still needed to spend more time with each other and get to know each other better before they could call each other friends. That was more than fine with Jorey, as long as he could make a friend in the end. There was also Quash, but he was still pretty pissed off at him for basically getting his ass beat by Liari. He didn't want to admit it, but Quash did seem like a pretty likable person, and he'd like to be able to train with him more and hang out more. It seemed like it was about time for them to start fighting. The pureblood's body readied itself for combat, his arms still crossed in anticipation, though. Maycair repeated Jorey's prompt to show him her moves, and told him to look behind him. He was confused for a second, and felt a power level behind him. He quickly turned around with surprise on his face, as he saw some magenta looking figure behind him, charging an attack. The clone looked just like Maycair, but was obviously not the right color at all. Seeing such a thing made Jorey excited and chuckle. "Oh, shit! That's cool, you can make clones of yourself. That's pretty nice, but unfortunately..."
Jorey watched as the condensed ball of Ki was shot straight at him. It was far too weak to do any real damage to him, and was slow enough for him to dodge it effortlessly. Dancing around the Ki blast, Jorey closed the distance to the clone and sped behind them, lifting himself off the ground. "That kinda attack ain't gonna do jack to me."
While in the air, the pureblood sent his leg straight at the clone to kick it. He could feel the Ki coming from the clone, and knew it was pretty weak, so he was going to follow up with a combo after hitting it with a kick. If he does hit the clone and it disappears, Jorey would land on the floor, confused as to why it just disappeared with just one attack. Huh, that's weird. Seems pretty inconvenient to have a clone that can't take more than a hit, doesn't it?
Jorey would turn around and feel the Ki of Maycair rising. Now, that was an interesting development. Normally, the Saiyan would have no issue going up to his opponent and stopping whatever they were doing in a heartbeat. However, this seemed promising. Their power was still drastically different, even with the weights on for Jorey. However, if Maycair just so happened to be powering up, he wanted to see exactly how much she powered up to. With a smile on his face, Jorey readied himself by getting into a fighting stance and waiting for Maycair to finish what she was doing. If he needed to take evasive maneuvers, he'd do so in a heartbeat.

The rage that now pumped through her was more than enough to inspire some strength. Her Demon's Blight wasn't a source of self-confidence, but it was a very useful tool in a fight. The hybrid disregarded the negative light she cast on the form, at the end of the day it was just another useful skill in a struggle to survive. It was easy to let the rage fuel, and corrode the veins even as she was mocked by her foe. Or that was the visage in her rage-riddled eyes. May was still there, but this power was a blight upon her more than anything. The weight behind every punch, every blast, was a coalesced mess of frustration and self-hatred.
There was a passion to fight, a language that was traded in the exchange of blows. It was the simplest, the sweetest of languages. So pure, so unadulterated when bodies collided in a dance of uncontrolled fervor and intent. Neigh, this was not weak, this not the cry of a baby lone in the night with no bottle or bed. It was the sorrow, the song of a melancholic madness trapped with the regime of a victim aiming to be a fighter. O ring the bells of battle the toll heralding a conversation between beats of two different backgrounds. This was the only way to understand, the sight that would show this was not a happy exchange, this was the vent of a fight ill-chosen, this was the release of all the pain held within May's prison.
"If you wish to hark forth my fire, the passion you so desire to spoke then you see what passion truly radiates in my heart, it is not a lust for strength but desperation to survive. Each day chased by dog, battered with word and fist alike, no more do I submit to myself, to the cradle of death. My bones will break, my spirit will die but I will not yield in my heart, I will not die in a way which truly matters. This is my might now, and It shall only grow further."
It was a bit dramatic, but she was not just speaking to Jorey at this moment. This was a promise to herself, a resolute hoorah as depressing as it seemed. How long could she back up, could that instinct cause her to run. This was her time, her day to fight, even if it would be a heavy loss. May saw the strength in this world, she did not wish to topple it, she needed to so no one cut hurt her again. She would burst towards Jorey, putting everything into her body, using Black Star Striker in three separate strikes. It would be lucky for her to hit him but she could still try. Each punch was carried with the intent to kill, to end the fight in a single blow. May didn't have that luck, she never would, but that's how she fought. It beat her down, to give her all in every instance, but it was yielding results and there was no time to slow down.

It wouldn't take long for Maycair to finish up her charging. Her appearance seemed to change a bit, her eyes gaining a magenta color and her aura completely changing to the same color, as well. The appearance was definitely an interesting change, but what was more interesting and exciting for Jorey was the fact that Maycair's power level ascended to new heights. He could feel her energy, malintent and rage pouring through every inch of her body, and her power soaring to new heights. It was much closer to Jorey's power now, but he still had a slight edge over her. The blood inside the pureblood Saiyan pumped faster with excitement and determination, his smile unrestricted on his face as he displayed his emotions on his sleeve. With his fists at his sides, his arms angled, and his body ready for whatever's coming next, the pureblood let his Ki run wild once more as Maycair spoke. There was a very clear difference in the way she spoke now compared to before. She spoke a lot more Shakespearean, a lot more old English-like. He didn't know how to really react to this sudden change. He was starting to think all of that hostility he could sense in her Ki was a sign of her new personality change. It's not like it's abnormal for people to go through some sort of personality change whenever they transform. Jorey wouldn't know much about it, seeing as his only transformation for now is his Great Ape form. That was a very drastic personality change from conscious to unconsciously murderous and chaotic. It was nothing like this. It started to make Jorey think he was the one at fault for all of this. Starting to think I went a little too far with the provoking. I'ma have to clear this up sooner than expected.
It wasn't long before Maycair was on the offensive though. She was much quicker than she was beforehand, which turned his excited expression to shocked. Of course, it wasn't a bad thing to be shocked about. This tremendous increase in power was great for Jorey to practice with, especially considering he has weights on to restrict his full power. There was a tremendous amount of Ki pouring forth from Maycair. As excited as Jorey was, he knew he couldn't just lightly take any hits she dishes out. In an instant, the pure Saiyan condensed his Ki and harnessed it throughout his body. He used this Ki harnessed inside him to initiate his Rapid Movement, seemingly turning into nothingness and reappearing behind Maycair. However, this wasn't enough to satisfy the pureblood. Just to make sure she wouldn't simply turn around and start attacking again immediately, Jorey backed up even further with Rapid Movement, quickly sending himself twenty feet behind her. Sliding to a halt, the Saiyan smirked and remarked at her speed. Damn, she really powered up a lot more than I thought she would. I gotta be careful of that in the future, but for now this is pretty cool. If shit really does hit the fan and she's really thinking about killing me, I'll just have to take my weights off though. Really don't wanna let it get to that, but we'll see how this goes.
This Saiyan wouldn't waste any time. This may be training (in his head), but he wasn't going to let Maycair get off easily. He'd make sure she'd get just as much of a workout as he was, if not then more. Jorey stuck his hand out in front of him, channeling Ki into it and firing off a Halo Buster as quickly as he could. While he was charging his Halo Buster and sending it out, Jorey called out to Maycair, commenting on her new form and her new power. "So, is this some of the demonic energy you got in you? I gotta say I'm pretty impressed."
The Saiyan would then taunt the hybrid a bit, slamming his fists together and imploring she show him more of this power. "Come on, then. Show me more of this power you got! I'm itching for a real fight!"

He was quicker than she expected, it was more than anything frustrating. Not doing damage was one thing, not being able to land a hit was something else entirely. He was a more experienced fighter, he had more power, and it was only natural for this to be a losing battle. He wanted to see her power, he would see it, as much of it as she could fire. Even if it meant tearing away at her own body. She would show her resolve, firming her body up in preparation for the impact. It wasn't a defensive action, it was defiance of the fight he wished to have. It was ludicrous but May would take his attack head-on. The blast impacted her chest with crushing force, it was searing pain. It conflagrated, creating an inferno within that sparked at her eyes.
"Yeah this is my demonic side showing through, now why don't I show you more of it." Wrath was fueling her key, causing it to fire with rage. Lifting her hand Maycair would fire away Black Hole Bomber, one after another, after another. A barrage of three, it wasn't enough, not enough to satisfy her. Two more, two blasts of lesser ki. It wasn't enough to do any real damage, it was enough to maybe put a scar on that face of his. That would've been satisfactory enough, to just land a blow. That steam, that poison she wished to control was pulsating through her every vein.
"You wanna see my power! This is my power have a taste of it!" This was the desired outcome, the power was corrupted in a way. That was the whole reason for these training sessions, for her to try and understand what was inside. How it gripped, how it empowered was intoxicating. It was something she had to cope with, to gain control of. It was easier said than done, this felt good, real good. It was a high she had never felt, if only she was actually powerful enough to do anything about it. That power, that lack of control needed to be reigned in. It could've been promising, if such a thing was possible then May could be better than her parents, she could protect herself from abuse.
"COME ON ARE YOU STILL ITCHING?" May would taunt, roaring with the might of an Oozaru in her little body. This would be good whether or not she realized it. This was a fight she needed, to understand her place, to understand what to strive for. It was a back and forth. Growth wasn't a cycle, nor an uphill battle, it was a climb up a slippery mountain with few footholds. How far would he want to go, how far would he push her? May would fight till collapse in all honesty if she was stoked to it. She wouldn't just be beat down without fighting back.

This battle was just getting started. After the Rapid Movement, Jorey had used a Halo Buster to inflict some damage to Maycair. Surprisingly enough, it looked like she took the full brunt of that attack. That was almost insane, but it was very Saiyan of her. Watching her just take the full attack inspired Jorey a little bit, making him even more excited for this battle. His face went from surprised to very pleased, very quickly. This training session was going to be more than worth it, and getting to meet Maycair to train with her was definitely the play. Again, this is training to Jorey at this point in time. He really should tell Maycair soon enough that he wasn't planning on actually causing her too much harm or even killing her, that he only saw this as training and wanted to train with her. The pureblood dropped his hand down and watched his opponent carefully. The Demon-Saiyan had a look in her eyes, a look that screamed of her desire to pay Jorey back for the pain he'd caused. Such a look only moved Jorey even more, making him more excited. Ki was channeled into the woman's hand, and she shot out three Ki blasts. They looked the same as the one that her clone fired off, but they felt much more powerful. If there were three of them, it would be difficult to just casually dodge or deflect all of them. Nevertheless, the pureblood saw this challenged and stepped up to the plate. Inhaling deeply, Jorey readied his Ki for a massive explosion, immediately shooting it all around him, sending shockwaves through the air and disrupting the particles around him. "HYAAAAAA!"
With a fierce roar, Jorey let out a Kiai in response to Maycair's attacks. Fortunately, that was enough to take care of one of the blasts. The condensed ball of Ki would shake and morph itself due to the shockwaves in the air and Jorey's Ki, ultimately dissolving into the air. Unfortunately for the Saiyan, his Kiai wasn't able to disrupt or dissolve the other powerful Ki blasts Maycair sent out. Gritting his teeth, the lone wolf put his arms up, crossing them, and took the Ki blasts head on. By blocking them, they didn't do as much damage as they should have, but they still stung like hell. Right after those other two blasts hit Jorey, he could feel two more, much weaker ones coming at him. The Saiyan would drop his arms, letting them come crashing into him and hitting him with their full force. They didn't nearly feel as bad as the other condensed balls of Ki Maycair sent at him, but it was damage all the same. Jorey dropped his arms, burn marks visibly painted on them. It was a good feeling, all in all. This was how combat should feel. This is what you could truly call a fight. With Maycair so close in strength to Jorey, it was practically a dead even fight. It was nothing like the battle the pureblood had to put up in order to survive Liari's attacks. This was much more manageable and much more exciting. There were only a few things that crossed Jorey's mind in curiosity: one was how long Maycair could keep this form up. Everything caused fatigue, whether it was a lot or a little. Too much stress from a transformation or even a bunch of attacks could make someone collapse much quicker than they expect to. The second was if this form got weaker the longer she spent time in it. If that was the case, then this fight will be over relatively quickly. All Jorey would need to do is outlast it until it started to get weaker, then he could easily overpower Maycair. That's not what he was hoping for, at all. The last was if she had another transformation on top of this. If that was the case, then this would be a serious problem. If by any chance she did have another level beyond this, Jorey would have no choice but to take the weights off himself. Definitely hoping that she doesn't have another form on top of this.
A mean mug was shown on Jorey's face at first, but it quickly turned into an excited grin. He'd be remiss if he didn't acknowledge the power Maycair had and displayed to him. It was very satisfying, and he wasn't about to pretend this wasn't a treat in and of itself. The pureblood began chuckling, which soon turned into a full blown laugh, his amusement skyrocketing. "Amazing! I didn't know you had this kinda power inside you. You're making me more and more excited by the minute."
Jorey pulled his arm back up, holding it out towards Maycair again. He charged Ki for another attack, his smirk not fading one bit. "'Itching' would be an understatement at this point. I'm practically feening for this fight now. So, how 'bout I show you how grateful I am for that?"
Jorey quickly fired off a Shatter Beam, the Ki beam traveling straight to Maycair at fast speeds. About halfway to Maycair, he'd let the beam break off into multiple Ki blasts, all heading straight towards his opponent. Right after that, Jorey would use Rapid Movement again, closing the distance between the two Saiyans and reappearing behind Maycair once more. He'd use this moment and attempt to send his leg right into her back, a full force kick with his Shatter Beam acting as a bit of a distraction. His smirk had gone into a full blown, crazed smile once more, and this time, it was highly probable that it wouldn't go away. At this point, it was a goal of Jorey's to lose himself in the momentum of battle, and hopefully Maycair would do the same. He didn't want too much harm to come to either of them, but he wanted them both to benefit immensely from this training. "How's that!? Is your Saiyan blood pumping with as much excitement as mine, yet!?"

Even though he had blocked, it was satisfying to see some of the attacks land Jorey. She was learning from this fight or so she thought. The way he carried himself, the weight behind every punch, and how wind followed his kicks. Fighting really was a unique way of speaking, even if you learned it from someone else, or on the street mannerisms always found their way into actions. It was hard to focus on such things with a heart rate comparable to the beat of a storm, or so Maycair thought. Still, she did her best to understand the person she was fighting and why he moved the way he did. His aggression seemed unique, from the way he moved there was some enjoyment in it for him. She was certain where the joy came from in it for Jorey, if she was lucky he would enjoy only a friendly match. If fate decided otherwise, it would mean a rather rough good night for the hybrid.
When the smoke cleared after her attack the expression of Jorey's joy was a bit more visible. His blood must've been pumping in a similar way as her own. Was this the therapy she needed? A good old-fashioned brawl fest, so it was time to start throwing some punches. If he wanted to keep taunting, to be so battle obsessed it rattles his brain that she would grant his wishes. She wasn't sure how well she would be at giving him what he really wanted. Her attacks still weren't doing much despite the scaled power. He had to be hiding something, or maybe he was just more durable than the average person. What could it have been, what was he keeping under his sleeves? Was there a hidden power boost he had, she was just lucky they weren't battling under the full moon. That could've been much more disastrous for them both.
"I think you should keep your excitement to yourself. It can be pretty unsightly to go around flaunting that stuff around. Most people wouldn't appreciate having such a strange disposition. If you're gonna enjoy the fight why treat it like you're playing around with me? Your moves should be able to do all the work for you, are you showing off because you only see me as a little plaything? Or do you actually see me as a fair fight, show me what you got?" May taunted somewhat, it was mostly venting to get out the rage that was building. Her demon's blight was more of an effect on her mental state than anything else. It made it harder to make decisions, to focus on the fight before her. It would show off in her failure to react to incoming attacks.
The blast to her chest was more than enough to knock the wind out of her. His attacks were pretty interesting, he seemed straightforward forward but there was his own personal flair. She was more a fan of her own techniques, but she could always admire the work of someone else. There wasn't much chance to sit by and enjoy the moment, he chased her down enacting force on her with a powerful strike, both blows made it incredibly difficult for her to respond verbally or physically. How's that? How's that? It hurt like hell that's how it was. If this fight wasn't the death of her then she was definitely going to give it to him when they met up again. It would be her opportunity to give him a taste of his own medicine. He was a lot closer, so it meant maybe she could get some good punches in as well.
"Why don't I show you how it is, would you like it a double-decker knuckle sandwich!" She tried to scream, out of breath but it was to use what energy she had. Maycair would create a Blight Shadow once more, each of them charging up a black star striker. It would be a double whammy. One from the side, her from the front, being so close it would be easier to block but you could only do so much with to munchkins brawling at you. These shadows would be her tricky little path to victory, she would just need to try and outsmart him. That was hard, it was even more difficult considering the fact that Maycair was the one who was becoming fueled by rage. It really was a double-edged sword, the blade could always bite back.
"So, what game are you playing at, did you really just draw me out here for a fight? Are you gonna just keep beating on me? I won't back down and just be bullied. I can tell you're having fun in this, I won't lie it's nice to get this frustration out. I don't really trust you though, so what is your objective? Every time I've tried to put trust in one of my own they've found a way to turn it against me to use me. You could do just the same, mocking me before finishing me off for the sake of your "saiyan pride." I want to understand you, to know why you wish to stoke me. The only time anyone ever shows interest in me it's always for their own interest. The only time I ever care is when I get something out of it. I've no place in trust, in anyone. So give me one good reason to flee or do what I can to survive." Maycair prattled to him, pestering for answers.
It was all truth, a desire to find out the situation she was in. This day could've gone anywhere, it could have been something amazing or awful. There was a simple thought that had crossed her mind about the fight. If this was her place to perish, then this wouldn't exactly be the worst place to die. It was beautiful, it was something that could take your breath away, but she was a survivor so maybe another day.

Landing a hit on Jorey wasn't something to scoff at. Assuming this was all Maycair had in the strength department, Jorey knew that if he were to take off his weights, this wouldn't even be a fair match, anymore. It would just be a brutal beatdown, something that couldn't even be shown on national television. While it would feel good to completely dominate someone like that from time to time, this person in front of the pureblood Saiyan wasn't one of those people. She had no intent to cause any real harm to Jorey or anyone he cared about, and he could tell that she's not really a bad person. He would soon find out that she was a very hurt and untrusting person. However, because of the fact that she didn't seem like someone worth killing or worth completely dominating like that, Jorey wouldn't want to do so. This was training, training for both of them. Jorey would use this session to further his heights in power, and he could hope this hybrid would do the same. To Jorey, his attacks hitting Maycair was a surprise. There was something off. If she was letting him continuously hit his attacks like this, was there something she was trying to do to trap the pureblood? Was she trying to catch him off guard? A million thoughts at once flew through the lone wolf's mind, trying to make sense of this situation. Was this all a ruse to make Jorey lower his guard and make himself vulnerable? Was this all a chance for her to ascend even further heights and actually do some real damage to Jorey when he wasn't expecting it, or was she just too lost in battle and her form was effecting her mentally. If that was the case, then it wouldn't be a good idea to drag out this battle for too long. Having Maycair get suicidal in her mission to defeat an "oppressor," as Jorey originally made himself out to be, would not be ideal. He didn't want this person's blood on his hands. Despite taking all of Jorey's attacks head on, the Demon-Saiyan still pressed on. She spoke and criticized Jorey for wearing his excitement on his sleeve. Could you blame him? This was the best sort of action he'd experienced in a while, considering the beating he and Quash suffered from Liari wasn't too long ago. However, there was something she mentioned that stood out to Jorey. In this situation, it was easy to believe the Saiyan saw her as merely just a plaything, something to pass the time with and then toss to the side once he was done breaking it. Of course, while it was his intention to get some training in, it wasn't his intention to just toss her to the side and absolutely break her. That wouldn't be something he'd want to do, considering he was the one provoking her into doing something for him, not the other way around. Maycair hadn't committed any atrocities to Jorey, so why should he go out of his way to commit any to her? Besides, it wasn't like she was his next target for work. This would have to be something he would need to clear up sooner rather than later. It was getting even more concerning by the minute. At least, that was what Jorey assumed. If Maycair was bold enough to bring that up right before Jorey attacked, then it had to be something that was at the forefront of her mind. It'd be better to put her mind at ease and continue the training, rather than keeping the farce up and seeing how far she'd push herself for the sake of survival. After Jorey had reappeared behind Maycair and kicked her, he felt another energy signature rising. The Demon-Saiyan was becoming more serious and agitated, and her retort demonstrated her frustrations very well. The smirk on Jorey's face was immediately wiped off, and he became serious, too. The other power signature turned out to be another clone that Maycair created. The clone would move to the side of Jorey and Maycair was in front, both of them unleashing the same attack unto Jorey. The lone wolf definitely could have dodged it, there was still enough time for him to do so. That would tire him out immensely to do such a maneuver, but it was possible. He could also use a Kiai to get them off of him real quick. It would probably have a much better effect than simply dodging. However, Jorey didn't want to do that. He didn't do either of those things. Instead, Jorey put both of his arms up and blocked the attacks. There was a lot of weight behind them, especially the one that Maycair herself let out onto him. It was still very painful, but it was manageable. Now, it was time to go on the counteroffensive. Maycair seemed very fed up with the situation. She was confused, and rightfully so. The person who had been discriminating and provoking her earlier was now enjoying himself to his heart's content, as if nothing offensive was stated earlier. What other reaction was there to have? It was also evident that Maycair didn't really trust Saiyans. There had to have been something in her past that happened that made her very untrusting and wary of Saiyans. While it is in Saiyan nature to be ruthless and unforgiving—as Jorey himself had observed over the years—it was also proven to him that not every Saiyan succumbed to their Saiyan nature. He would make sure to demonstrate to Maycair that he was also one of those exceptions, not from the goodness of his heart, but more so to prove a point. After blocking the attacks from Maycair and her doppelgänger, Jorey would push their arms away to stagger them, and then ball his fists up, surging Ki throughout his body violently. With a loud roar, Jorey would use the Kiai to push both of them way from him, sending shockwaves through the air to send both Maycair and her clone flying. Once they were a considerable distance away, the pureblood would turn his body and attention to his opponent. "Well, I guess you deserve some answers after coming this far. I should also probably clear up the mess I just dragged you in, before you really get all riled up. You can calm down around me, or not. It doesn't really matter to me whether you trust me or not. But, I'm not here to actually hurt you or even kill you, for that matter."
Jorey broke his response for a moment while he massaged his arms a bit, numbing the pain from the attacks he'd just received from Maycair and her clone. "I'm here purely for training. It wasn't too long ago that I got my ass beat by some crazy strong piece of bubblegum, so I'm tryna get stronger so I can have a rematch with her. I was thinking that someone like you, who's a lot stronger than the average Earthling, would be a nice practice buddy to spar with. We both benefit from this encounter and leave with a stronger body. I figured that the only way to get you to fight me, though, was if I provoked you. Beforehand, you seemed pretty stuck up and intent on not fighting or wanting to cause a scene, so I wanted to see if I could get you to comply after all. I didn't wanna actually insult you or anything, so I apologize if I did so."
Jorey would stop once more to stretch a bit. He had a newfound resolve after hearing everything Maycair had to say to him. The training session was only going to get tougher from this point onward, and he wasn't thinking that in terms of for himself. "But, y'know, I hear you loud and clear. It can be a pain in the ass having some idiot like me running around insulting you at first, and then smiling his ass off and getting excited the next from a fight. You're not just a little plaything I wanna toss around, but unfortunately, you're also not my equal. Even with that power up, you still don't have what it takes to knock me on my ass."
The pureblood would let his Ki flow from his body a bit, then violently have it burst out around him. His face was dead serious once more, and he moved his head to crack his neck a couple of times for added intimidation. "Just to let you know, I've been holding back this entire time. I'm still nowhere close to my full power."
