PL: 51,289 Gravity Room 0.2x (20% Gravity): Training Mix 10% SWC (75%) PL: 12,822
Quash was currently in the Northern Mountains within his ship again. It was a bright and sunny day, and he was currently in his Gravity Room training. He's been going at it for a few hours at this point with no signs of slowing down. Sweat beat down the sides of his head and his breath was incredibly heavy as he pushed himself to his limits. He was shadow boxing again, fighting an imaginary opponent in order to test out some moves and techniques. So far so good, he just needed to keep going.
He's been looking for Jorey ever since he got to the Northern Continent, but there was no luck so far. He was somewhere in the North, right? Where could he possibly have been? Either way, he decided to take a break from the search to not lose track of his training. It was important that he stayed in tip-top shape. After all, he was trying to find Jorey so that they could work together to clear their names and potentially form a partnership together. There was no point in doing all that if he let himself go and became too weak to put his own plan into action.

JoreyPL: 29,798 (Current at 7,450)Super Heavy Weights in usePre-Workout Mix in use (1)Current Location: Northern MountainsCurrent Timeframe: Yes again Sometimes when flying at high speeds, the wind against your face can feel really refreshing. It kicks back your hair, lets your clothes flow with the cool breeze brushing against your body, allows you to really relax and act like everything is fine, there's nothing wrong with life. It was freedom, true freedom, to a degree. It was definitely worth it, from time to time, to just take a break and soar through the sky. Yunzabit Heights can be very bland, considering it's a bunch of mountains with grass covering the landscape and winds blowing faster than you leaving after finding out your ex-wife is in town. Now, he could explore other parts of the Earth that look so much more captivating, like the place he was in now, for example. The Northern Mountains seemed so much more interesting, what with the endless mountains, lack of life, and overall repetitive nature that seemed exactly like Yunzabit Heights in theory. Jorey's face became stale as he looked down from the sky, unimpressed with the sight he was taking in. Yeah, this is bullshit. Why'd I think this would be a good idea at all?
The Saiyan was about to turn tail and start heading to a different area, however, something caught his attention. Somewhere nearby, there was an energy reading Jorey was feeling. Learning how to sense Ki paid off, and he smiled at the fact that he was able to notice something there. It seemed distant, but the power level was definitely high, higher than Jorey's himself. He felt like they might have just been stronger even still, and they were holding back some of their power. Regardless, Jorey looked in the direction of the power level. There seemed to be some sort of infrastructure in the mountains. What was the point of it, and why was it all the way over here in the middle of nowhere? Shouldn't buildings and mechanisms be located in cities? Was there a new project someone was working on here? It seemed interesting enough in Jorey's boring day, so he decided to investigate it. Jorey flew down and dropped down to the contraption, landing a few feet away from it. It was huge, almost like a place of habitation. Was there someone living inside here? The Saiyan hadn't seen anything like this in...well, ever. He was certainly confused, but there was still an energy signature coming from inside. Jorey could feel their Ki fluctuating, as if they were in battle, or as if they were training. In addition to that, the energy signature felt familiar. There was a warmth that Jorey felt to it, similar to that one Saiyan from the bank a while back. Could the person here also be a Saiyan? For some reason, it felt like the Ki signature felt familiar, too, not in a racial kind of way. Have we met?
Jorey wasn't going to get answers just sitting around examining this foreign infrastructure. There were many things he wanted to know. First off, he wanted to know what the hell this thing was. Secondly, he wanted to know who the hell was in this thing. Thirdly, he wanted to know why the hell this person was here. Lastly, he wanted to know what the hell he was really doing here in the end. This could just be a giant waste of time, as interesting as it seems, but he had to figure out what was going on here. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it ain't got shit on a Saiyan. Jorey walked up to the door, or what seemed like the entrance to this thing, and started knocking on it. Hopefully, whoever was inside here would hear him calling to them with his fist and answer. Then, he would be able to get the answers he needed. Word Count :667

Quash had been dashing around the room, starting to get a better feel for the gravity. A flying kick here, a straight jab there, he was really beginning to feel like he was getting better. He wondered if he'd be able to increase the gravity level sooner than he thought. He might be getting a little ahead of himself, but it maybe it was time to have some more confidence in his own abilities after all.
Right as he was about to really ramp it up, he heard a faint knocking pattern in the background. He was stopped for a second. Huh? What was that? He thought, focusing on his ki sense. He picked up on an energy signature just outside his ship. He must've not noticed because he was, as the youngins say, "in the zone". He walked over to the controls of his Gravitron and turned off the Gravity for the time being and left the room. Getting to the controls of the ship itself, he pressed the button to open the doors.
Huh, well that was convenient. Quash told himself when he saw that it was none other than Jorey! It looked like he was in the right place after all. The Captain waved as he walked towards him with his hand extended out for a shake. "Hey! Jorey, right? I've been looking everywhere for you!"

Jorey didn't have to wait long for the individual who owned this property to show themselves. When the door opened up, he didn't expect to see this particular individual waiting for him behind it. To see Quash and be pleased about it would have also been a stretch. It's not like Jorey didn't want to see him, but it would be incorrect to assume Jorey's excited to see anyone, really. He's not on good terms with quite a lot of people, races, and territories. He wouldn't be used to seeing people and being excited to see them, but less people being excited to see him. Yet, somehow, Quash was excited to see him. In fact, he said he was "looking all over for him." The Saiyan immediately became skeptical, confused as to why Quash wanted to see him again. Did it have anything to do with the Orange City attack? If that was the case, Jorey would have to point out that this Saiyan was also a culprit in that incident. If that didn't get to him and Quash somehow wanted to start a fight with Jorey, he knew he was going to have to pull some quick thinking to either win or make it out unscathed. Why was Quash looking for Jorey? What the hell was the point of him being here training too? The questions just kept on buzzing through Jorey's head as if it was a beehive. This Saiyan was acting overly friendly with him, despite their last interaction being them destroying a whole city. There had to be some sort of mistrust Quash and for Jorey, because Jorey definitely didn't trust Quash with this friendliness. The other Saiyan's arm was extended, reaching for a handshake. The lone wolf simply looked down, staring at his hand for a bit, then looked back up at Quash, glaring at him in confusion and skepticism. If that didn't spell out how much he didn't trust this interaction, he didn't know what would. Quash was visibly sweating, a signification of him training. Maybe, at this point in time, Quash was too exhausted from training to really fight Jorey or try to take advantage of him. From that perspective, it would be fine to take Quash's hand to shake. However, this could also be a clear sign that he's all warmed up and ready to react at a moment's notice. What the hell should Jorey do right now in response to this greeting? For now, Jorey would elect not to shake Quash's hand. Instead, Jorey put his hand over Quash's to push it away temporarily. He wanted some answers first before he went to any formalities with this soldier. "What are you talking about? What do you mean, 'you've been looking everywhere for me?' How'd you know I was in this area, too?"
Jorey crossed his arms, waiting for answers. He wasn't going to be satisfied with any half-assed answers either. He was on edge ever since that incident with Orange City, and as such, Jorey was very wary of the situation and what Quash could be here for. Maybe he's a delusional Saiyan with a fucked up sense of justice? Maybe he wants to take revenge on all those lives lost and decided that killing Jorey and Athren would be where to start? Maybe he's trying to turn in Jorey and Athren to the authorities, to try and make up for his blunder on Orange City? It could be anything. Jorey was just about as untrusting and delusional as anyone. When you worked as a mercenary for so many years, doing deals with the PTO and other shady organizations and people alike, you tend to become more paranoid about the sort of situation Jorey found himself in. When someone's looking for you, it's probably because they're out for you. If someone wants to meet you, it's either because they need you for something, or they want you dead. Sometimes, it's both. Either way, this didn't spell good news for Jorey, and he needed to be shown that this other Saiyan wasn't out to get him. With how Athren treated the both of them, it wouldn't be a surprise if this Saiyan also had it out. The concept of Saiyan pride was probably a foreign one to so many Saiyans, being thrown out the window at a moment's notice if it meant getting what they wanted. Jorey knew that for himself, pride wasn't something he held onto that much. He was learning how to embrace it more, though. "You know how this looks, right? After everything that just happened, do you expect me to be all happy-go-lucky about seeing you again? I can't exactly trust that you're really happy to see me, and you're not tryna take my ass down. Pause, not like that; you know what I mean."
Jorey hoped that this at least spoke out to Quash. It was a shady thing to want to see someone, or be happy to see someone, after an event like this occurs. Hell, Jorey would be skeptical if anyone wanted to see him in general. He knew what kind of business he was in, and the kind of people who would be looking for him. The only time he wouldn't be skeptical about someone wanting to see him is if it somehow involved Ayu. Every time Jorey saw that girl, he could only think of innocence. She didn't have a single corrupt bone in her body. So, meeting someone from Ayu, or Ayu telling someone about Jorey and them coming to meet him in response to that, didn't seem like all that bad of a thing. Well, maybe the latter would be shady in some instances, but overall, Jorey would trust her judgement. Jorey kept on waiting for Quash's different explanations and reactions to his questions. He wasn't going to comply with doing anything else until the Saiyan was able to prove his trustworthiness, at least for the time being. There was the off chance that Quash was actually here for something important. In which case, Jorey wouldn't have a problem with listening to what his "acquaintance"—if you would call it that—had to ask of him. A request is a request, and if it involved money, then it would definitely be something worth looking into. Word Count: 1,054

It was quickly becoming more and more obvious that Jorey wasn't really happy to see Quash. At all.
Quash stared awkwardly at his hand as it was pushed away. Oooookay. A little rude, but whatever. I'll roll it with it. He thought. Jorey started asking him questions like "how'd he know he was here" and "how could he trust him". This felt like his first encounter with Athren all over again. Hopefully, it didn't end the same. Quash decided to answer his questions, feeling like he had a legitimate reason. Contrary to Athren, who was just trying to be a dick. He was totally going to punch him in the face the next time he saw him.
"Well, I met someone who said she knew you. She said you saved her from a couple of goons or something. Her name was Ayu, I think. Green? Not like a Namekian but you know, like a plant?"
He went on address the question of "trust".
"Don't worry, if I really wanted trouble, I would've been fighting you already. I know it wasn't your fault that Orange City happened. I was tricked, the same as you. Actually, I was looking for you because I was wondering if you knew where Athren went. I wanted to uh... "repay" him for what he did to us. I was wondering if you wanted to come along for the ride too."
Quash stepped aside, motioning Jorey to come inside.
"Come on in! You know, I have air conditioning in here."

In the eyes of Jorey, being skeptical, even in the slightest was pretty normal in this situation. Anyone who is approached by someone they just met would be at least a little concerned. Why would they be looking for them? Curiosity would well up inside that person, and if they knew they didn't get off on the right foot with the individual who is looking for them in the first place, curiosity could change to worry. Fortunately enough, it didn't seem like Quash was here for Jorey's head. He was able to figure that from one thing, primarily: Quash's mention of Ayu. Immediately, Jorey's eyes widened at him hearing the mention of her name. He tensed up, but relaxed at the same time. He was stunned, yet relieved altogether. He wanted to run away, yet also didn't feel like there was a need to. The last time Jorey was with Ayu, she made him feel so many different things that he hadn't felt before. As a result, there were some parts of Jorey that had changed. He was more compassionate and thoughtful of others, especially to Ayu herself. Seeing as Quash knew her, and that she put in a good word for him in the first place, Jorey reluctantly let his guard down. He sighed and glanced down at his handkerchief briefly, the one that Ayu herself gave him for keeping her safe that day. Well, if Ayu talked to him, then it can't be all that bad. Whatever.
Furthermore, Quash did make a good point based on the trust aspect. Honestly, Jorey was just waiting to here Quash explain the situation. From there, he could judge whether or not Quash had any hostility. Plus, he could just sense if he had any malice or bloodlust in his Ki, and there wasn't either in it. He took a deep breath in, and let it out, signifying Quash had passed and that Jorey would trust him. "That's fair. Aight, I honestly wanted to see what you'd say, see if you said something suspect. If Ayu met you, then I'll put my trust in you, too. For now, that is. I haven't gotten to know you, yet, Quash."
In response to the comment about Athren, Jorey would laugh, not just because he thought it amusing, but he also kind of thought it pointless to try and go after Athren. It was obvious Quash wanted revenge for what happened. That's great, but to Jorey, that was something that didn't concern him. "Hey, if you wanna go after Athren, that's fine by me, but I'd rather stay outta it. Sure, he did both of us dirty, and it pisses me off that he took advantage of me like that. But, I don't wanna take revenge on him for that. That can be a you thing, and I'm fine with being there or not being there for it, but I'd rather not get involved. 'Sides, if I knew where he was, I wouldn't exactly wanna see him willingly, right now."
Quash invited Jorey to come inside his weird chamber thing. Curious as to what it was, the lone wolf walked in. He came all this way in the first place; it wouldn't make sense to make this trip for nothing. The inside was pretty spacious, and was very interesting and complicated. There was a console in there, with a lot of buttons on it. The Saiyan didn't understand what they were for, so he paid it no mind for now. He could also see in the distance a cockpit, complete with everything you would need to fly a ship. Oh, so this is some sorta ship? That's interesting...What the hell is the point of making it look like this then?
Jorey had a lot of questions, and he wanted them answered quick. Not in an arrogant kind of way, but more so in a curious kind of way. He walked to the middle of the ship, looked around a little bit more, and then coiled his tail under him so he could sit on it. He crossed his legs as well as his arms to complete the look. Addressing his attention back to Quash, he proceeded with his questions. "I felt your Ki fluctuating in here. Were you training or something? Why are you training in some weird looking ship like this? Also, speaking of your ship, why the hell does it look like this? I've never seen anything like this before. It seems very...not aerodynamic."
With everything that happened lately, it was hard to really settle back down and wrap his head around things. There was a lot Jorey needed to do. He needed to get stronger, and control his Oozaru form, to prevent another Orange City disaster from happening again. He didn't care much about the Earth, but it wouldn't be ideal to get more flak on him than he already had because of the aforementioned situation. Of course, he did care about Ayu being safe, though. If he were to transform into an Oozaru suddenly and start attacking her, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself when he woke up. Maybe, in that aspect he could relate to Quash? What if Quash had someone there that he was trying to protect, and transforming into an Oozaru put them in danger? Jorey would be able to understand that feeling, in that case. He would think about it a bit, coming to the conclusion that he would try and seek revenge on the person who made him transform. Maybe that's what Quash was getting at? Was someone he cared about hurt in that attack? Is that why he was seeking revenge? Those were all questions that Jorey felt he couldn't ask at this point in time. They were too sensitive, and too random at that. Asking them at this point in time might trigger Quash, or have him become hostile to Jorey in a matter of seconds. Stuff like that was better left unsaid, and kept in the back pocket until a much opportune time arose. For now, Jorey would be more than satisfied finding out what this ship is, and how Quash was even getting his training in the first place. Word Count: 1,040

So far it looked like Jorey had come around, though Quash was a little more than confused by Jorey's logic concerning his stance on the "Prange City situation". He knew that Athren was bad news and he was mad at him for what he did to them, but he didn't care enough to get revenge? It didn't make much sense to him, but maybe it would if he got to know him a bit better. At least he was willing to tag along, for now anyway. There weren't many people on this planet who liked him, so it was good to take any potential ally that he could get.
"Fair enough, I guess."
Once they were both inside the ship, Quash couldn't help but notice how curious Jorey had become. It wasn't long before he kept asking questions at a rapid-fire speed. Trying to keep track of them all, Quash began to answer once his newfound ally was done. "Honestly, don't even ask me about why the ship looks the way it does, I just needed a place to get around and this place was spacious enough. You'd be surprised at the kind of stuff you could get in Earth's cities." Quash walked over to the console of the Gravitron before continuing. "yeah, I was training in here. I was able to get a Gravitron installed. It creates Artificial Gravity to make training more effective. I just managed to work my way up to its current maximum: 50x Gravity. Hopefully, I can get an extension on it soon, I heard the upgrade was up to 75x."
Quash then hatched an idea. He realized that this was a perfect opportunity to test Jorey's abilities. He hadn't seen him fight at all yet, plus it's not like the Captain was done training for today anyway.
"Wanna test it out with a little one-on-one? I could use a sparring partner."

After responding to Jorey's slur of explanations about the Orange City incident, Quash followed him inside the ship. It wasn't long before he also answered all of Jorey's questions. Things on Earth really were strange, or at least unique. There was the situation of their diplomacy. There was also the police force. If you wrote a statement or had a statement, you could actually decrease your interaction or threat level with the police. That was something Jorey only saw on a few other planets. Most of the time, there was corruption hidden deep inside the police system, kind of like that one time he dealt with Dyve's group past North City. A thought randomly occurred to him while he was thinking about that specific group. Oh, shit, are their bodies just chilling there, dead?
The answer was, yes. They were all definitely still there, not taken care of in the slightest. The Saiyan again relaxed, apathetic to the whole situation in general. Eh, not my problem.
It was something Jorey could agree with, when it came to the statement about Earth having some weird stuff. He let out a breathy sigh while he replied to Quash's first answer. "Yeah, tell me about it."
Quash then explained what this whole ship really housed inside of it. Interestingly enough, this was a gravity chamber. Jorey had only ever heard of those kinds of chambers, and he'd always wanted to try them. He never really had the chance to before. He either couldn't afford one, or he wasn't able to stay on a planet too long for him to really be able to use it. In the end, he didn't get his chance either because he couldn't find a permanent residency, or due to lack of funds, or for whatever other reason he couldn't really get one. Mercenaries like him didn't have the best insurance policies for a lot of reasons, and bills need to be paid. Well, whatever "bills" he had weren't actually bills, just things he called em so other people wouldn't be too suspicious of him. Regardless, this would be Jorey's first time using a gravity chamber. The thought was more than enough to excite him, but he didn't show it on his face at all. At least not yet. Determination set into his eyes, and he readied himself for the training of his life. Quash's offer was way too good to pass up. Jorey's eyebrows narrowed, and his face got deadly serious. "Let's do it."
Fifty times gravity sounded pretty intense, let alone seventy-five times. Was this all something Jorey could handle at his power? It might be even more difficult to manage just because of the weights he was wearing under his training suit, but he wasn't going to back down from this challenge. If he could manage just fine with the weights on him, at whatever weight Quash could put on, then that would serve as a surefire way to get stronger quick. The excitement flooded through Jorey's body, and he wasn't able to contain his smirk. It was obvious Quash was much stronger than himself; he could feel it in his Ki. However, that was no reason to back down from this challenge. If it meant getting even more of a workout in, and getting even stronger quicker, then he'd be more than happy with taking a loss while training with this other Saiyan. Jorey adjusted his fingerless gloves, tightened the handkerchief on his left hand, and then readied his hands by his side, as if he was about to charge his Ki. This Saiyan wasn't playing around, and he was ready to get started with the training. Word Count: 612

Quash super excited that Jorey agreed!
"Alright! Now that's what I'm talking about, I hope you're ready, because I don't plan on holding back! He replied excitedly. Having a sparring partner was exciting to say the least. He was excited to see what kind of moves his new ally had in store for him. Was he as strong and skilled as Callion and Athren? Or was he weaker than them? Assuming Jorey could handle 50x Gravity, he went and turned up the dial to maximum. As he did so, the light in the room dimmed and emitted a red color throughout the room. There was a humming sound in the background, letting everyone inside the Gravitron that the room had been activated and the machine was on.
It had been really difficult for the Captain to find new saiyans to befriend. Now having run into yet another one, he thought that things were finally starting to look up. He'd be able to create the team he needed to take back Vegeta from the USD, and they would set everything right with the world. They would once again be the strongest faction in the galaxy, potentially even taking down the Planet Trade Organization as well. He could see it now, this was the start of something great!

A gravity chamber, here in the flesh. This would be the first time Jorey ever trained inside one, and he was more excited than ever to get started on training. How effective was this gravity chamber training? How long does it take for the training to really show some progress? How dangerous was this training? Oh, is it possible I could die from it? I'd rather not die, buuut dying from training in like five-hundred times gravity does sound pretty badass...or maybe it'd be even more badass if I died while fighting someone at five-hundred times gravity. Yeah, let's go with that. People in the afterlife—if there is one—would judge me if I said I died while "training."
Now was as good a time as ever to start training. With these added weights on Jorey's body, he could really get some serious mileage on his power gauge, if he trained correctly. Overtraining himself would obviously have detrimental effects, and he'd have to be wary of that. He wouldn't want to break every single bone in his body and make him unable to train until he heals from a rejuvenation chamber. And last time I checked, Earth doesn't have any rejuvenation chambers. Great, what would they have? A magic bean that heals all battle woulds? In their dreams.
The lone wolf braced himself. With a serious mug on his face, fists clenched tightly, and every single muscle flexed, he prepared for the sudden change in gravity that would come. The lights changed colors, and everything about the room seemed to come to life. There was a humming coming from the walls, that seemed to remind Jorey of a space microwave for a second. He noted the similarities this room had to a microwave, for that matter, and continued bracing himself. He felt the weight of the gravity taking hold, and smiled as he registered the change in his weight. However, he quickly went back to frowning once he felt that this change in gravity was way too much for him to handle. Jorey's eyes widened, and his body was sent straight downward to the floor, with almost no chance to get his arms out. The Saiyan had his hands on the ground, but wasn't able to push himself up, let alone keep his chest off the ground. His face strained in pain and struggle, only to realize he had no chance of maneuvering in this environment. In a layman's terms, he was fucked. Jorey's whole body shook as he struggled to get breaths in and to his feet. Each attempt to push himself up or stand up was met with such tremendous resistance, that it looked like he wasn't even trying to get up at all. Keeping his head and face off the floor was as much as he could muster. It felt like he was under five spaceships, and he didn't mean the small kinds like this one. Sweat dripped from his forehead and nose as he looked up to Quash. He needed him to turn the gravity down, and he struggled to get the words out. Just like his shallow breaths, his words were even more weak, and he choked up a bit with each breath he let out to utter a single word. "Ack...Quash...turn...down...too...much..."
That broken sentence was the most Jorey could muster in this situation. His Saiyan body loved combat and his spirit wasn't one that could be deterred by a challenge. However, this was suicide. There was no challenge in it at all. He could only hope to survive this encounter if they were to train with this. Hell, forget about "our" training. My training this whole time would be to either get used to this gravity, or not die from it. This is way too much for me. How the hell is this guy so strong that he could walk through this no problem...
Jorey's thoughts trailed for a bit, fueling a rage deep inside him. When...did I get so weak!?

Quash was super excited to get this training underway. Who knew how many neat tricks Jorey had up his sleeve? Surely, as an elite saiyan warrior, he had to be able to demonstrate some kind of insane fighting ability right? Maybe he would even be better than Quash in some areas! It had been a while since he had last fought a saiyan. Sure, he had sparred Callion not too long ago, but he was very Earthling-ized. Jorey felt different. Probably the closest thing to a member of the Saiyan Military besides Athren. It was almost like Quash was right back on Planet Vegeta with his fellow brothers in arms.
Or... maybe not.
Quash awkwardly watched as Jorey was absolutely crushed under the weight of 50x Gravity. As he pleaded for help, the Captain couldn't help but feel a little let down. Here he was thinking he was about to fight an equal, but instead, he got... Well, not that. He walked over to the Gravity Console, turning the dial down to something tamer. He figured Jorey would at least be able to handle 20x Gravity, right? At least, he hoped he would. As the Gravity lowered to its new setting, Quash looked back at his new partner.
"Sorry about that. There, is that better?"
It looked like he was going to have to take it easy on Jorey so that he wouldn't accidentally annihilate him. It was a little disappointing that he couldn't go all out, but he figured the next best thing would be to guide him so that they could eventually fight on the same level. He hadn't exactly been one to teach other people, so this was definitely going to be a huge learning curve with a lot of trial and error.
After Jorey managed to get on his feet, Quash gave him some space and got into his fighting stance again.
"Alright, for real this time. Show me what you've got!"

Strength was necessary to survive. If you weren't strong, you would only get used or eaten up by the strong. Either that, or you were cast away, left to fend for yourself. Strength wasn't everything to Jorey, but he knew he was strong. He knew he had strength because he was able to singlehandedly take out armies, soldiers of many different militaries, and even societies. He was able to frighten people with his strength, intimidate them into surrendering, or even killing them outright in the blink of an eye. He knew he was strong because he lived the life he led and made it this far in it. He was still alive and kicking, and for that, he knew he had attained strength, but this, this display of fatigue and helplessness wasn't strength at all. Ever since he came to Earth, he found people who were stronger than him, and he'd work towards catching up by fighting them. He knew he wasn't weak, but he felt weak. He wasn't used or eaten up by those stronger than him, and he certainly wasn't cast aside for being weak. He was an anomaly, because his existence was unconfirmed and uncertain. He was a ghost that everyone could see and interact with, that was able to slowly get strong and intimidating as time went by. He was a child that everyone paid no mind to and let do what he wanted, and when that child grew up and proved his worth, they respected him. That's how his life essentially went, but not once did he think he was truly weak. This, however, was a crude awakening for sure. Quash would walk over to the buttons and panels Jorey had observed beforehand and did something to make the gravity not as intense. Jorey could still feel a very evident pull on his body, since the gravity was obviously higher than Earth's. He'd already became used to Earth's gravity, so this change was still foreign. However, this was manageable. The lone wolf's face relaxed, no longer as tightened up as it was before. It wasn't a struggle to breathe or lift himself, anymore. While it wasn't a struggle anymore, it was still a bit difficult. The Saiyan was able to get a grip on the ground, putting both his hands out in front of him and pushing himself up slowly. It was like he was doing a pushup with weights on his back. Well, weights on top of the ones he was wearing at that moment. He figured that if he wasn't already wearing weighted gear, he would be able to manage a lot better in this kind of gravity. Jorey was able to push himself up completely, putting his legs under him and standing up. Once he stood up straight, he let out a relieved sigh and looked at his body. He threw a few jabs at the air in front of him to gauge how his speed and strength was. He definitely felt like he wasn't as strong as he normally was, but this was to be expected. After all, he was definitely on a higher gravity level than Earth's. Jorey would then open and close his hands, observing once more how much his body was affected. After acknowledging the strength of the gravity, Jorey also got into a fighting stance. He still needed to get used to this strength, but he figured that would come in due time. Best case scenario, by the end of the day, he'll be used to this gravity. Jorey could tell that Quash was already leagues above him in strength. If they were going to train, it would be nice for him to be able to catch up first, and then they could really get to training. As such, the lone wolf didn't see a need to display all of his tricks from the beginning. He would use them all within due time. If anything was certain at this point, it was that Quash wasn't planning on absolutely destroying his training partner, nor was he planning on killing him. Jorey could be comfortable knowing that. There was no point in overdoing it in this gravity chamber, but there was no excuse for him to leave anything on this training field. He had to give it his all so he could get everything out of this workout. No excuses, only combat. He was already angry at himself enough for being weak, and realizing how weak he was all of a sudden. If this didn't serve as motivation for himself to get as strong as he could as quickly as possible, he didn't know what would. Maybe someone so ridiculously strong that they could be worshipped as a god? That was highly improbable, considering how strong people on this planet were. It was true that Quash was very strong compared to Jorey, but he didn't meet anyone that overwhelmingly strong on this planet, yet. He didn't expect he would find anyone like that, anyway, considering the average power levels of the people living here. it was time to commence the training. Although Quash implored him to commence, Jorey didn't know where to start considering the weight of the gravity. An idea did pop into his head, though. It would be nice to get further used to the gravity, but still make it training for both of them. The lone wolf took one more deep breath, focusing his Ki through his body, and hopping up and down a little bit to loosen himself up. He then spoke up and went into action afterwards. "All right. Let's get started, then."
Focusing his Ki through his body, Jorey used Rapid Movement to make himself circle around Quash multiple times. It's true that his Rapid Movement technique could use quite a bit of Ki and stamina, but he made sure to pace himself the whole way through. His Rapid Movement was a little slower than usual. Instead of making it look like he straight up disappeared, it looked like there were multiple clones of Jorey moving around Quash. He'd continue this for a little bit, then suddenly stop to Quash's left, shooting a Ki blast at him. Immediately afterwards, he would use Rapid Movement again, reappearing in front of Quash and firing off a Halo Buster at him. Word Count: 1,055

It looked like Jorey was able to handle this level of gravity, because he was on his feet and ready to go! While he still wished he could've turned the dial up a few more notches, Quash figured the only way it was going to get better was through training. Luckily for them, that was exactly what they were doing! As his newfound ally began to warm up a little, the Captain couldn't help but think that it was nice to be the strong one for once. For once he wasn't going to have to worry about getting his ass handed to him. In fact, this time he might be doing some of the ass-handing.
It was time to forget all about asses for now, because Jorey was now on the move! Quash's eyes darted back and forth as he tried to keep track of his sparring partner as he circled around him. It was an interesting maneuver, perhaps Jorey was trying to look for any openings? He was a little surprised at how well this saiyan was able to move, considering he was already under the maximum amount of gravity he could handle. Then again, could really expect anything less? A saiyan was quite quick to adapt to any given scenario. Overcoming challenges was in their very blood!
The Captain's guard was way up, knowing an attack could be thrown at him at any moment. Sure enough, a ki blast was fired from his left side! With relative ease, Quash put out his left hand. The energy ball sunk into his palm as he caught it, pushing back against the force with his own. As expected, there wasn't a whole lot of power behind it when it was compared to his own. Still, it wasn't over yet, but Jorey was following up with yet another attack!
Feeling Jorey's energy move to be directly behind him, Quash pivoted on his right foot. Attacking from behind was the oldest trick in the book, but was admittedly pretty effective. Between the gravity and power gap between the two fighters though, it wasn't too hard for the Captain to counter this play. Now facing the energy beam coming his way, he would use the same energy ball he caught and throw it back! The two energies would collide, creating an explosion! The Halo Buster was obviously stronger than a mere ki blast though, so most of the force of the explosion was sent Quash's way.
The combined energies of the attacks had forced Quash's body back a little, his feet sliding across the metallic floor. As this happened, the saiyan would throw his hands forward, launching a couple of ki blasts back through the smoke in front of him toward where Jorey just was. While the attacks Jorey had sent out weren't too threatening, Quash knew that too many of those would begin to add up over time. The Captain could fight comfortably, but not carelessly.

The trickiest part about this battle, well this training, was trying to knock Quash on his ass. Jorey knew it wasn't going to be easy to go up against this Saiyan with their difference in power level. If he were to take off his weights, he could get the upper edge on his training partner. However, if he were to do so, there's no telling if Quash would do the same, if he had any. The lone wolf knew this captain was holding back, especially since he was able to take a gravity level much higher than Jorey himself. Also, Jorey wouldn't get that much stronger by taking off the weights. Keeping them on was a part of the training. He could get more experience and more out of it this way. All in all, it would hurt more than help to take off the weights. In light of all that, it was necessary to keep in mind that he couldn't just slouch around in this training. Doing so could make Quash not into it anymore, or it could make him react negatively. There are many different outcomes that could come forth from him training like that, and they all flew through Jorey's head as if they were bees buzzing around their beehive. The only best way to go about this situation is to give it his all. When you shoot out half-assed techniques at someone who is much stronger than you, it's expected to have those half-assed techniques just end up doing nothing. That's exactly the effect Jorey's first attack had on Quash. The other Saiyan casually gripped the Ki blast like it was a basketball, catching it and stopping it in his grasp. It wouldn't effect the captain at all, which proved to be quite annoying. The difference in power not only made Jorey upset, but it annoyed him. He needed desperately to bridge the gap between himself and Quash, or else he would forever be disappointed with himself. Being so weak wasn't something he was used to feeling. As a mercenary, he was always hired for jobs that could very well kill him or make him permanently in a vegetative state, or anything else that could possibly be deemed worse than that. He survived each and every time, but here he was, backed against a wall against Quash's power, which was much higher than his own. Sure, it wasn't like Quash was out to kill Jorey or anything, but the fact of the matter was that he had a lot of catching up to do. He wouldn't rest until he could not only catch up, but to go above and beyond those who pose a threat to him. After reappearing once more behind Quash and firing a Halo Buster, it was anyone's prediction as to how the captain would react. Regardless, Jorey was ready for anything. As it turned out, Quash simply threw the Ki blast right back at his Halo Buster, but that Ki blast wouldn't stand a chance against the technique Jorey put out, and the result was an explosion that made Jorey put his hands up for cover. Then, he sensed two energy signatures coming straight from the smoke, from Quash. The two Ki blasts hit the lone wolf with his guard still up, and he took them as is. They weren't too painful, but they were still a lot stronger than the Ki blast he shot out originally. The Saiyan couldn't allow himself to get hit by too many of those. As the smoke continued to dissipate, Jorey decided to take the offensive. He held out his arm once more, and instead of firing a Halo Buster from it, he channeled his Ki into it and fired off a Shatter Beam. The Ki beam would travel just a little bit towards Quash, and then break off into many pieces, continuing their pursuit onto him. While this attack went off, the next part of the offensive would ensue. Jorey left his post and sped to his left, sliding against the floor to change direction towards his opponent. Then, he launched himself straight at Quash, his feet heading right towards the other Saiyan's side. His objective here was to distract or keep Quash occupied enough with his Shatter Beam bullets. If they managed to hit him, then that would be great. That wasn't the objective; while they were traveling towards Quash, Jorey would use this chance to take some more advantage of the situation, attempting to send another attack at the distracted Saiyan to really make up for the difference in power between them. If he couldn't be as strong as Quash, then that's fine. Well, obviously it wouldn't that fine, but it was tolerable. He would make up for the difference in power between them with battle senses and tactics. He wasn't going to let himself be outdone in every single part of battle. Jorey would somehow make sure that he could find pride in some part of his fighting style, in some part of this training today. Word Count: 844

An energy shot out of the smoke and was headed straight towards Quash! Good! He had hoped that a couple of ki blasts weren't going to be enough to put Jorey down. That'd be pretty awkward if it had. Nice try, but another energy blast isn't going to do much against me. He thought. He was prepared the sidestep the attack and continue to press onward, but then the funniest thing happened.
"Wait, what the f-"
The blast had split into multiple little energy attacks! Quash had to react fast, but he wasn't fast enough. While he managed to avoid a couple of them, the rest had managed to hit home! The attacks exploded in a bunch of different areas around his body, and they definitely packed a punch. That was quite the attack, why didn't he think of creating a technique like that? As he tried to recover, he felt Jorey's energy shift to the side and barrel towards him!
"Oof!" Quash yelped as Jorey slammed into him! The Captain's body was sent flying into the wall behind him before dropping to the ground. It looked like he had some tricks up his sleeve, but the fight was just getting started! Quash pushed himself off the floor and launched a punch straight at his opponent's stomach, hoping to drop his jaw. After that, he'd launch an uppercut as a follow-up attack to send him towards the ceiling!
