The translated text was another indicator of just a step in the long journey of hunting the seed. Ryme was starting to lose faith, he didn't have much, to begin with. This felt like such a diversion, but the mass string of religious temples was built with this one seed in mind. It made it hard to deny the truth of the claims, though he wondered whether the organization always referenced with the seed was real. If it were he'd be ready, if they were as strong as the book claimed he might even need to take off his weights. However, creatures of the galaxy had a habit of exaggerating their strength. Ryme wouldn't be surprised if that were the case here.
The planet's biome wasn't listed in his ship's logs this time. Ryme would chuckle as he prepared a couple of different snack bags depending on the climate. He did hope it would be a colder one he wanted to eat chocolate as one of his snacks. Double-checking his supplies he'd feel confident and go back to the captain's seat. When the planet finally arrived in view Ryme knew he'd be having chocolate. The planet was cracked with fissures all across, it looked like there were multiple underground volcanoes. As there were various streams of lava around the location notated from the last journal. Ryme would have to make this fast, he didn't want the ship on a planet that had lava bursts as a daily occurrence. He'd leave it on semi-floating in a cloud.
Flying down to the location, Ryme would find a mark that had appeared in several of the tomes that had been translated. It was engraved on the rock in front of him. He'd put his hand over the mark and the engraving would begin to glow. Part of the rock wall would separate revealing a hidden opening. Ryme would confidently stride through knowing that the next clue would have to be inside. He'd wander from room to room looking for where the tomes might be. When he finally found the room that looked to be the one, he noted the oddity of the room. There was an entire artist painting set left out with a board full of paint and a blank canvas. Surrounding the room were books all lined on shelves on along the wall.
As soon as Ryme entered the room the windows and doors would seal shut. There would be no clue or description of what he had to do. Instead, he was just alone in the room. Ryme decided that he wasn't tired enough for a nap, especially with an enemy somewhere nearby. So he painted, and the supplies and materials were already set up. He ended up painting a darker sunset on this planet. He clearly had never seen one, but it summarized his feelings about the planet more than reality. As he finished the sound of the doors and windows opening surprised Ryme.
Without realizing it the test must have been tied to his art somehow. He'd grab a couple of books just to be sure as he headed back to the ship. If he didn't get trapped in one of the rooms earlier Ryme might have even stayed in the compound for the night. He'd head back to the ship and plot their next destination so he could train.
