The silence of space travel was the only thing he'd miss as he built his empire. There would be little time for himself once he found this seed. It would serve as their stepping stone to an empire. Though Ryme had a feeling when he arrived back on Earth his brother will have done things equally as impressive. He hoped that Liari would still be alive his brother could be less understanding in his opinion. Though that depended on who you talked to, Ryme had a pretty bad temper and held grudges. He sipped on tea as his ship arrived outside the latest planet. While studying the biome from the tome it didn't seem like this planet had too many sandstorms. Especially not in the season that Ryme happened to be in.
The scanners didn't pick up any large settlement so he would land only half a mile away from the location indicated. Trekking through the sand was a horrible experience. Ryme didn't want to bring attention to himself by being one of the only objects in the sky. The sand had this weird way of requiring more energy with each step, Ryme would work up a minor sweat by the time he reached the ruins. Ruins might not be the most accurate and had eaten up entire stories of this city, the weird buildings were only the top floors of the buildings tall enough.
Ryme would listen closely as he leaned against his first wall. He didn't know if there were any others inside the ruins. This place would be perfect for a transient who didn't mind walking. Or even a group of bandits, either way listening to the ruins; he heard only the typical sounds of bugs and the random calls of wildlife. Feeling more confident Ryme would walk through the ruins looking for his next clue. He had a feeling the seed wouldn't be on a planet like this. It would be too hard for it to stay alive.
That was until he found where he needed to go next. It was a room tomb full of luscious plants, which seemed impossible. Then Ryme would go flying forward. While the majority of the punk's strength came from Ryme wearing his heavy weights, there was an element of surprise too. Ryme had missed the young man, he had to be only 19 maybe younger than Earth maybe. Ryme would hop on his feet and charge straight at the man. Ryme caught him sooner than he expected, even with his weights on he overpowered the man. Catching him in the jaw once or twice with jabs while wrestling for his space. His opponent would put his hand up in a surrender motion as he just sat down for a second.
After maybe a minute or more he'd back to his feet. Then he'd silently walk Ryme into a room he had missed on his first exploration. The theme seemed to be veteran related as his order. He wondered how the same man had a fraction of his strength. Especially being on a planet like this for their entire lifetime. He must have had incredible raw potential, too bad he'd be ending it soon. As the young man pulled out a tome in an unknown but familiar language Ryme would smile. He'd charge up the ki ball and put it right in the boy's back. Retrieve the journal and head back to his ship for translating to a new planet.
