So this was it. The Namekian Class shuttle with pretty much all the bells and whistles, well perhaps not all of them. There were a few modifications he had yet to make, primarily the ones to the thrusters he had been after. There was no luck getting the parts he needed the other day when they had went to the crashed ship. That was okay though, because he also did not have the parts he needed for upgraded weapons and shielding. It was not that he expected space combat while traveling in the ship, for it that would ever occur he figured he would just dispatch Ryme or himself to go out and handle the ship blasting at them. While it might be true the ship was faster than them, it would not be more deadly. There was some other upgrades and parts he needed finish fixing the ship up to his liking but for now it was going to work as is and he could really get to enjoy it as the first thing he and his brother had bought from earth. While he was sure he could have gotten the real deal from Iolin, that ship would need too many original parts and work to get working in tip top shape. Plus how was the Namek ever to get home? Zero was not sure about that one. Especially with the current situation over there. It was not to say that it would be impossible just unlikely. There was one thing that Zero had finished on this ship and that was the Gravity chamber. It had taken up an entire room, but was large enough to fight he and his brother on their space adventures and even would sustain proper use as a home on the go as they traveled around. After all they had went the cheaper route and bout the third largest vessel on the market. It was going to get the job done for now but as they amassed crew members they would start needing a larger vessel until it was larger enough to carry an army with them.
This gravity chamber though, would be perfect. The door had a lock and a seal so that no one could open the door once the machine was on, it was linked to a voice command computer, and it even had walls and floors that were a special alloy that were from a planet that had some of the highest known planet gravity around. It would be a fine product. The two had spilt the cost as they had did the ship, and because of this they were able to spend the money on a gravity chamber that could be upgraded with ease later on. For now it was time to give it the fist practice run. Zero stepped into the room with his super weights on, he could already feel the weighted effect on him but it was not too bad. Though he was slower and could feel the weight when he moved around a lot more.
Standing in the middle of the room Zero would speak to the computer and give it the command to turn on. This current generator could go to thirty times that of Earth's gravity. Not wanting to be too cocky, Zero chose to go to twenty times Earth's gravity. The Computer acknowledged the command, and then a light hum would soon be heard. Then the room turned red and he felt his body be pulled to the floor almost instantly. With a gasp he thought he might of over stepped his power but then after a few seconds his breathing started to relax. This was not soo bad was it? His arms and legs felt like they were nailed or wielded to the floor at this point. The drain on each breath was merciless. Was this really a form of training that people had done so much that this became a commercial unit for sell? Apparently so, as there was an entire dealership for them. He was already sweating as he fought to make it to his knees. Letting out a grunt he would stand upright fully. It took every muscled fiber within his body to keep him standing. He could feel the gravity all the way into his bones. It hurt, it truly did. It was not as simple as being heavier, it was and pull and a weight on your lungs, breathing was not just hard but nearly as much of a work out as just keeping his posture erected.
Though now he had to try it, he needed to take a single step at least. For a moment he thought perhaps he should lower the gravity down to ten times, but then quickly shook that notion form his mind, well perhaps not shook it literally as well that took a lot of work. For now he would have to focus on just doing the minimum in here that broke down to three simple things. Breathing, walking, and standing. His core was going to become the strongest muscles he had that was for sure. And this sis exactly how he go through his first training cycle.
Zero literally fought for each breath as he slowly lifted a leg while using the sway of his tail to off set his weight and balance until his lifted leg met the ground. He had done this over and over again. He had done this so much in fact that his tail was starting to get sore. After about two hours of just walking he was starting to get a real feel for the motion but needed a break. He gave the command to shut the gravity off and made a mental note to bring something to drink in here next time. For a moment all he could do is fall backwards and land on his back as he felt the pressure leave his body and was able to breath fine again. Which again was odd since he did not need to breath air, but it still felt amazing to do so. As he relaxed the super weights he had been wearing no longer felt like a strain to carry, thought he knew over time outside this chamber that effect would soon be felt again, and while he would eventually get used to the feeling of them weighing him down and he learned to properly move with them, that they would boost his training into new heights and soon enough he would be able to learn the Spell Master Babadi had to teach him.
When he had rested for ten minutes, Zero gave the command to turn the machine back on as he spent the next two hours once again walking around the chamber this time was was able to walk with out the focus of trying to off balance himself with his tail but just walked semi normally. It was still a strain and an effort to lift his legs but he was sure after a few more hours of this he would have it down packed and pretty soon would be able to start doing his martial arts routine. He had to laugh at himself for combining two new forms of training on the same day. It was not just a weighted training program using the heaviest weights they made mind you, but also gravity which had made the effects of the weights so much worse, and the same could be said for the gravity with the weights. The areas that had the weight on them felt so much worse and needed way more effort to move tan his un weighted parts of his body, again everything was pulling from his core to stay focused and tight.
After a few hours he had finally got down how to walk semi regularly. However it was now time to take a bath and sleep for the night. Zero made sure to scrub well and clean himself so that tomorrow when he started phase two of learning to survive in the gravity chamber. His plan was to eventually spend a full 24 hours within the chamber outside of bathroom breaks. But even in those small rest periods he would be wearing his weights. There would literally be no part of his day where he was not training besides right this second where he was bathing. Though when the time did come to spend a full day in the chamber, he was sure by then he would have the proper mindset to go with out shower to see if he could do it.
