Ryme and his brother had finally finished gathering the appropriate funds for their ship and gravity chamber. Ryme was inside their ship watching the news, legs kicked back when he heard the juiciest story. His brother thought his obsession with knowing local events to be no better than earthlings watching what they called reality tv. Today, he could prove him wrong, the flashing breaking news banner was still scrolling on the screen as he went to yell at his brother, Zero was meditating on top of their new ship. "BREAKING NEWS BROTHER, THERE'S A WHOLE BUNCH OF SHIP SALVAGE WITH A FULL LOAD OF CARGO ON THE BEACH. IF WE HURRY UP WE COULD BE THE FIRST TO GET ALL THE REAL GOODS. MIGHT EVEN BE AN UPGRADE FOR OUR SHIP IN THERE."He knew that there were two easy reasons for his brother to say yes. The first was the obvious ship salvage, but the underlying reason he knew that's what would bring his brother in with speed. Since they were going to the beach instead of having to drive a car his brother could take the ship. They hadn't traveled in it much since purchase, but his brother was the preferred driver. This didn't bother Ryme at all as he could take the time to read, watch the news or even train if the trip was long enough. Ryme of course knew how to pilot as well, but he couldn't say he enjoyed it the way his brother did. When they arrived at the beach, he was surprised to see that there weren't many humans close to the ship. There were a variety of news outlets posted about 400 meters away from the wreckage; that's where the largest crowd was. Other than that, Ryme couldn't even make out others by the ship itself. It mattered little to Ryme, even if there were salvagers already inside the ship, it wouldn't be hard to take them out and leave before the news broke. He'd wait for his brother to finish the landing procedure before flying straight to the top of the ship. The wreckage itself, he couldn't tell if it was caused by internal or external damage, there was only one thing he was sure of. A creature had caused this ship to wreck, one not much larger than the brothers. Which meant if it was still on the ship, they'd get salvage and good exercise. Sometimes a close-to-perfect day could happen, Ryme would wait for his brother. Once he either flew up to him or Ryme flew down to where he would go he'd tell him his initial thoughts. "Looks like there was some kind of creature brother. I can't tell if he escaped then destroyed the ship or destroyed the ship in its attempt to escape. Either way theirs a high chance we'll have a little skirmish inside if it's still there."WC: 484 TWC: 484

Zero was in his room on the Namekian Class shuttle. It was large, not as large as he had liked but the warship of their people was coming in due time. His brother had been on about these fast little ships, and after he ran into that Namkian Tabu and had a peek inside, he could see the true appeal of it. While the craft itself was not large it did have enough room for both of them and another and even had room to fit the gravity chamber which he was truly eager to test out. They had fitted to the ship not too long ago but had yet to fire it up beside a test run. Everything had worked as it was supposed to then so he was sure it was ready for them. While within his room Zero was messing with some ship diagrams looking at thruster output readings. The craft moved well, but he could see room for improvement and wanted to have all the data available before pitching the idea to Ryme. he then heard his brother's voice booming from down the hallway. At first, he thought he was about to go into one of his rants about something he just discovered about the lifestyle here on earth which Zero did not mind because typically it was shocking and good information and if nothing else a good laugh for the both of them. When he heard a ship had crashed and there was loot to be had, Zero dropped his datapad and ran straight for the cockpit with a grin. His tail swayed side to side as he cleared his typical pace of speed with ease.
"Well what are you waiting for, strap in I am taking us there at full speeds!"
Zero slid into the doorway to the cockpit area and stumbled into his chair. He grabbed the toggles and flips a switch with his tail as he spoke. "Start flight protocols. " The ship began beeping as the low hum of the ship turning on could be heard throughout the ship. When he saw the Namkian sign for all systems go, he pulled up on the toggle sticks and pressed a floor pedal as the ship roared to life and rocketed off the ground. Those language lessons his father made them take as kids really were paying off, and as much as he hated to admit it Chiller, their father, had been right to do so. After all, without the knowledge from that, piloting this craft would have been harder and more expensive if they would have had to reprogram the thing. Soon enough they had reached the beach where the crafted had crashed. Zero lowered the ship down and shut their shuttle off. He then joined his brother on top as he listened to what Ryme had learned.
Well, when in Rome. " he said smiling and then laughed softly as he used the saying they had come accustomed to using. With that said Zero flew off the ship and landed near the craft. His brother was right, it did appear like something either broke out in space or had been attempting to do so. But what the hell was it doing out near earth? Alien letters marked part of the hull but it had been scraped off during the crash. The ship's body was ruined and would likely never fly again, but its parts? Well, that had yet to be seen. Zero made a knife hand as he extended his arm out and stabbed his hand through the metal of the frame. He then repeated the action with his other hand and used all his strength to rip it open. It was not as easy as it had looked in the action movies his brother had watched. Still, it opened up with a hole big enough for the two small changelings to enter. Perhaps they would have the super cooler he needed to help regulate the temperature of their engines to get more out of them.
As he stepped through the self-made door, he heard the sounds of something scurrying in the distance. Zero held up two fingers, made a fist, then showed 5 fingers. This was the signal for them to walk side by side and be cautious of their surroundings. Zero lifted his tail in preparations for an attack. As they made their way down the ship's hallway the emergency lights were flashing on and off with a red light. This was more annoying than helpful, but at last, there was nothing sort of blasting them that could fix that now. Panels lay on the floor and sparks arced out every few seconds from wiring that hung out from the ceiling. He had never felt so happy to be so short.

As he landed on the ground next to his brother, Ryme would go into the ship with him. They hadn't even gotten past the doorway when both brothers would hear signs of life. His brother would give the typical signals for them to proceed side by side with caution. The whine of an alarm slowly dying from lack of power, echoed across the metal hallways. The flashing red lights, gave Ryme a slight headache, nothing large enough to warrant destroying the lights. The entire ship was in dissaray electrical wires sparked and hissing around them, as they continued down the hallway. Ryme was hoping that at least the energy cells in reserve would be salvageable. As well as any cargo the ship had to offer, there was more than one reason they brought their own ship to this location. Ryme would signal a halt with his left hand to Zero. He knew he had heard something this time, up ahead to the left. Ryme would charge up one of his Ki Balls at full power ready to quickly dispatch the creature. Then he'd start to inch forward slowly, they approached a T shape hallway. Ryme would make more signals, to let his brother know that'd he take the right while Ryme took the left. On his count they'd snap and pivot to face their corner. Ryme saw the beast and hurled his ball at it instantly. Surpisingly it took the blast head on and lived. As the smoke cleared, the beast had already ran deeper into the ship. Ryme would rush down the hallway while screaming at his brother. "I found the vile creature brother, it must be strong to take one of my blasts head on. Time to go monster hunting."Ryme would run down the hallway, until he hit a cross shaped hallway. Unsure of which direction the beast went, he'd continue straight and let his brother take a different path. The ship wasn't large enough that the creature could run for long. His hallway would end with a large room, it contained all the cargo. Ryme would give it a quick look once over to make sure nothing would hurt the integrity of the cargo room. Finding no immediate problems he'd turn around and start hunting for his brother. Chances are that he had found the beast, he didn't want to miss out on all the action. Tracing his steps back he'd look down the cross shaped hallway, listening close to hear which direction his brother chose. He'd follow along the hallway, at least until he heard noise coming from the entrance. Ryme wondered if their actions had made other salvagers brave enough to visit the ship. He'd continue to approach his brother, if it sounded like the action was winding down he'd go handle the salvagers. Ryme didn't plan on sharing this loot with anyone besides his brother. The pair traverse through the ship together until they had to take a different route. When they had come to the T intersection and Ryme was the lucky one to find the beast. As much as Zero wish to look over his shoulder and check on his brother as he waited for the clear signal all he heard was running from behind him, then his brother yelling out as he chased a monster. Sighing, Zero lifted off the ground hovering into the air but making sure he would not touch any of the wires, he held this position for about 2 more seconds then turned around and flew towards his brother and the beast. Pretty soon Zero had reached the cross-shaped intersection. He closed his eyes and listened for a second, he heard his brother moving in the same direction but something off to his left. He remembered what Ryme had told him, the beast had survived one of Ryme's blasts at full strength. Well if that was the case then it was just time to use his full strength in this form he supposed. Turning the corner to the left, Zero landed back on the ground. He had caught the sound of something but was not sure if it was just the ship's weight settling or if something was coming around towards him or not. He had to be careful as he and his brother had split up. He still did not have a scouter or an ability to allow him to sense ki, so he did not know if it might be his brother coming or not. If it was his brother he would just have to trust that they would be able to react in time and Ryme could either move out the way or Zero could pull his punch.
When Zero followed what he assumed was the beast heading back towards him, he saw a panel fly across the shit, it seemed something or someone was trying to break free throughout the ship. Zero had to stop them so he could get all the parts he wanted from this thing. When he traveled down the direction the panel had come flying he saw the large beast pounding away at another part of the panel trying to breach through as if it had failed to learn that that was not going to help it. Since It was distracted Zero flew towards it with all his speed and then turned and flung his tail at it, gaining extra power from the added motion, his tail slammed into the beast and caused it to stutter step. His brother was right this thing was strong, but recently Zero had been drawing in more of his natural power into this form which was a sign that he had been getting close and closer to unlocking full control over his true form. He knew Ryme was achieving this too though and soon the brothers would be well on their way to becoming the strongest in the galaxy.
After his tail whip and while the beast was still off-balance, Zero flew up towards it and rapidly licked at the beast with his legs in a stomping motion as he hovered in the air. The Beast reached out and grabbed Zero by his left leg before hurling him to the ground. Zero's body bounced off the ground with the added force the beast had put into him. Zero growled as he held out a single finger and fired a blast from it. The blast caught the beast in its head where Ryme had hit it earlier and still it had taken it with no problem, or at least that was what it had felt like, but upon closer inspection, one could see the creature had a sort of bug-like exoskeleton, this was what was protecting it and it had looked like the added attacks were indeed doing damage. Well if it was a bug then it was time to get the zapper, Zero rolled out the way on another incoming attack and he rushed to where the beast ripped the paneling off before he struck it. Reaching in he pulled out the cable that should be carrying the power for this craft. Ripping it apart sparks flew as the lights dimmed and back up ower began to run this section of the ship too. A blue arc of electricity extended from the alien metal.
Zero flew up to the beast as he narrowly dodged a claw attack from it, the placed both ends of the line onto the beast shocking it and firing it until it stopped moving. There was a smell, and sound that would be forever attached to Zero now when he looked at another creature that looked this way. But when he thought of them and the hideous actions he committed to this beast, he would reflect on them with a smile as he knew he was doing what he truly wanted and enjoying every single second of it. Part of him was happy that there were indeed the monster's roars that filled the air because they hide his lite chuckling and laughter that came with each volt of electricity. When it was done Zero looked around and noted only the charred husk of the bug creature left.
"Oh no looks like I have gone and let myself slip. It was a good thing we are alone, friend. Time to go find my brother and secure all the cargo this ship was carrying."
Zero tossed the wires to the side and fired a blast into the panel where the beast had ripped it open attempting to blast the power off in this area. He then returned to track down his brother as he could hear sounds of talking? Maybe his brother? Was it ki blast? It was hard to say for sure what was going on but Zero headed there calling out as he did. Ryme dear brother, I have dealt with the issue, we should be hurrying along now. "

As Ryme traced his steps backward until he made it back to the cross-shaped hallway he'd hear the sound of combat. Ryme knew his brother would be making, twice the amount of noise if the encounter was deadly. He could hear the sound of relaxed salvagers moving through the ship still. Ryme would head off in that direction, back towards the entrance of the ship. He'd run into 3 salvagers, he couldn't tell their races while they were zipped up in protective gear. He forgot that most weak earthling creatures needed vacuum-sealed gear to survive even the simplest of settings. He'd hear one gasp loudly as Ryme appeared in plain view. Ryme would smile warmly at the salvagers. He didn't have to kill these three it was possible that, before Ryme could consider his options they fled. Terrified of his smile, or maybe they understood someone was here before them. Either way, Ryme would accept a freebie.
Turning around Ryme would hear his brother finishing the creature off. Or at least he'd be surprised if that was his brother and not the creature making the death cries. Ryme would calmly walk down the hallway avoiding the wires and hopping over any puddles. His brother was just speaking aloud when Ryme arrived at the hallway entrance.
"Easy enough brother, help me get the cargo. You can start hunting for any other salvageable parts after that. I saw a crew already trying to head in here. I think as long as I stay close to the inner sanctum of the ship I can keep them away. This personality and demeanor thing work better than other changelings care to admit."
Ryme was only half-joking, he was much more feared on Earth than Frost. It wasn't even a close comparison either, he wanted his next time on Frost to feel like here. He wanted those who saw him tremble in fear, hiding behind Ki Erasure techniques wouldn't be Ryme's style. He wanted those around him to feel his power. At least his raw power, it was better to have a few tricks up your sleeve for the final struggle.
After his brother came back and forth with the cargo the first time, Ryme would finish up the next round while Zero scouted for any specific salvageable parts that were worth the labor. Otherwise, they'd leave it for the lesser scrappers. The walk across the beach was quieter, but with twice as many interested parties as other salvagers eagerly awaited a turn in the vessel. They would be on it like piranhas once both brothers were gone. Luckily they had already gathered the majority of the valuables in their first two cargo hauls. As Ryme would finish locking up their ship he'd go back down into the destroyed ship. Zero, was busy appraising value to work, Ryme would do the same in a different area. They rarely did find parts of a ship that were worth extracting, but every time it was on these second checks. So while Ryme didn't enjoy them he saw the use in giving each ship a double check.
They wouldn't find anything as they left the ship for a final time. His brother mentioned the charred body he had left behind for whoever's team was the unlucky individuals. Ryme would laugh thinking about how that would affect the earthly contracts. As they hopped back into their ship, Ryme would strap in. His brother took control of the ship, landing them back to the clearing they were at a couple of hours ago, now richer for it. Ryme of course would take the chance to brag about the power of the news.
"See Brother sometimes the news has some of the best information on a planet. That's why it's important to tune in with Tina on the Turn of the 5. For all the NEW...Now"
In the end, acting out the start of one of the new caster's intro into her show. He wondered if every planet would be this helpful or if they'd run into more resistance as they strayed away from the main worlds of the USD. Ryme would be interested to find out, they had never really agreed how long they'd give each planet. Ryme would already be sending out messages to multiple sellers about their recently acquired cargo. The sooner they were paid the sooner he could get the things he wanted more than needed.
