Required: At least 800 words It seemed his plan of hunting down that monster and slaying it had worked out as he had hoped. One day while the twins walked through the city a Tiger beast man approached them. He had offered to take the pair out to lunch and stated he had an offer for them. They had went to a place of decent dining, nothing fancy enough to need special attire or anything like that but nothing so low scaled the two brothers would not be insulted for being brought there. Zero and Ryme had decided a free meal might be worth their time once they heard there could be a huge payout. So, at the lunch the guy had gave a quick run down of what he had in mind. Of course, he left out details so that even if they wished to report what they were told, nothing would come of it. Something the Changelings were known of doing themselves back on Frost. It seemed that it pretty much came down to a heist of some sort. He went on about how he had read something on the web about how they had taken out a 20 story tall monster that shot out acid fire or something like that. It was hard for Zero to really understand the tiger because he had this accent where he spoke really fast and said things like "Ya know what I'm talkin bout right?" and "So I tells the guy yous aint welcomed around here capuche. ". It was a bit nerve racking to say the least but he had understood the assignment, they pretty much just needed two guys who were strong enough to be the muscle if anything were to go wrong. The brothers had been given a card with what was likely a burner phone and a fake name to contact within twenty four hours if they were interested in the job. The neast man man it clear there was a HUGE payout if they took the "gig" Zero seemed to recall him stating something along the lines of "Yous two will have so much Zenni yous can buys you one of dem fancy khars and get you somethin nice to wear." though he had be clear to mention to not spend the money all at one place and such. The two brothers had talked it out and figured if nothing else it would be fun, they had been getting bored recently with the meditation training Master Babadi had been making them do to focus on magic. Zero himself had not found a once of ability to use magic or had even felt it yet, but apparently only a few could even use it in the first place and less even knew of it. So it being so rare made sense. So here they were, Ryme and Zero on their way to the meeting location. It was an old hotel building across from the port, apparently where they had been steaking out the place for the past few weeks to learn guard shift changes and personal numbers. Zero and Ryme had made their way into the building and was about to enter the room. Zero would pause for a moment waiting to see if his brother had anything to say before entering. If he did Zero would wait and listen focusing on his brother before relying if it was something he thought needed a response, and if not he would just enter the room. WC: 581

He knew from listening to the radio that fame was something that Earthlings valued, but Ryme was sure racism would trump that. However, even a changeling could be wrong so when a man approached them about a job he had to admit defeat to his brother. Gave him the defeated look as they went to lunch to signify that he was correct in destroying that beast. It was a suitable place for an anonymous meeting, he wondered what exactly they were going to be asked to do. He had seen enough Earthling crime movies to know that it was likely to be something nefarious. Easy enough for him, he had gotten tired of the brighter side of life. Just because he was one of the weaker members of his planet didn't mean his sense of mayhem was. It made it all the worse because Ryme felt as if he had to prove himself constantly. They had something similar on earth they called it little man syndrome.
Ryme was surprised at how accurate the accents and mannerisms of the movies were to this criminal. He could barely understand him, even when he had watched the movies he always needed subtitles on. Maybe he could get a scouter that could display subtitles if he found a smart enough inventor to make a custom one. He had found that communication to be a much better tool than his planet had originally made it out to be. Why work harder all the time, when trickery was just as good. The individual would give them a burner phone after explaining just enough to lure them into the job. They needed the money so Ryme had no qualms about taking the job.
They were headed to the meeting location of the job, some crusty hotel across from the city port. It was definitely below his standards, but probably below the authorities as well. Earthling criminals preferred to stay on their planet after committing large crimes. Something that didn't make the most sense to Ryme, but when in Rome. As his brother and he took the elevator up it was mostly quiet. Right before they got into the hallway leading into the room his brother would pause. This would be the last opportunity to talk before being surrounded by their new associates.
"Do we want to split with all the others or kill them at the end? Your call brother."
It was a simple enough question. Ryme didn't mind doing either he knew that sometimes his brothers were impressed by others' skills and liked to use them again in the future. Ryme was too instinctual to care about those kinds of things, plus he thought everyone besides his brother was replaceable. He knew that one day he might find a minion or even a partner that he thought differently about. So far in his life that had not been the case. He even thought of the rest of his family as replaceable. They served a little function in his grand plan to take over the PTO. To run it as it should be a true business. At the moment the spite of fellow races kept their profits lower than they could be.

It turned out his brother did have something to say before they entered, they knew each other so well. It was truly amazing. Being a twin was like having two bodies, that was how Zero saw it anyway. After all, they had the same DNA makeup, was this why he could never see his brother as anything less than the only person he could trust as a person he could never turn his back on or double-cross? Perhaps, he did not know for sure other than they had forged a bond throughout their 70 years together that was unbreakable. The question however actually made Zero look down to the ground as he took the time to think it over. "Neither option outways the other to me. Either we split the pot and gain revenue of money from more jobs, or we kill them and take a large some this time. I say we just wait it out and see how their plan goes. If everything runs smoothly then we keep them around, if things start to go south well then, it's their own fault. "
After saying his part Zero opened the door walking through it as he did so. Seeing the entire group of people there now Zero got a full account of their numbers. Including the twins, there were six of them in total. There was a beast-man who he had talked to before who was a tiger, two humans, one who wore eyeglasses and was carrying a computer in his hand. The other was of likewise build and held an energy rifle that was apart. It seemed he was cleaning it prepping it for the job. The last member seemed to be a squid-like humanoid. Picture a tall man with green skin, four fingers with suction cups on each digit, and tentacles for hair. Zero held back the want to insult the being upon his eyes meeting them. After his brother entered and he entered the room Zero made sure to close the door before walking over to the ground. The group as one passed from their talk it seemed they were in the middle before the pair entered the room. The Human with the glasses walked over to them and extended a hand, the earthling style for a greeting. Zero looked down at the hand and smirked. "Oh yes, Earth customs. Do you mind if we do not partake in such a meager display? "
The Human looked disappointed for a moment but understood, he looked at both of them and seemed to cheer up. "Gentlement grab a seat. Let us begin with the briefing. The tiger turned from looking out the window at their target to the briefing. The plan was pretty simple, sneak on the ship take out some guards and make their way into the ship's cargo bay. Once there they needed to secure a crate that held something of value or something Zero zoned out at this point.

As he listened to his brother's response, it was valid enough. Ryme had assumed that his need to not kill was on the subject's value. Ryme was usually a little more bloodthirsty, but only if it required less work. As he walked into the room with his brother, he'd look around at the group. He didn't see anyone of note, Ryme couldn't hold back his laugh as the human came up to shake their hands. His brother would correct the man quickly. Lucky he did, Ryme's words wouldn't have been so polite. The briefing was very informative, and Ryme would take in the entire scope of the plan. Mostly, because he planned on murdering each associate who didn't follow their plan to the T. The plan was simple enough for their part, they just had to take out guards once on the ship. Stealthy murder was about control when using his Ki Balls just enough to kill, not enough to leave any marks on the ship. His brother was barely paying attention granted their part of the plan didn't require much.
As they took off towards the boat Ryme would relax in the van. The trip was longer than he expected, but the driver was obsessed was taking a longer route to make sure they weren't followed. Ryme had to admit that driver's ability was very deliberate; a night and day difference between both of the brothers driving. He imagined that his brother was interested in the man due to his interest in earthling vehicles. When they arrived at the docks Ryme and Zero were let out first and given waterproof radios. As they emerged from the vehicle, a half-mile away from the boat Ryme would look over at his brother. The surrounding area had guards, posted at different vantage positions close to the boat. They had multiple options on how to engage, and Ryme wasn't sure which exactly his brother wanted to use.
"Want to go in through the water, or fly onto the side and not get wet?"
He'd follow his brother's lead, Ryme was excited to get his first kill on one of these humans. Ready to charge his ki up, he had a good idea of how much he would need to take each guard out. Scouting out every guard, Ryme would start to formulate two different plans. It was possible his brother, had a third alternate plan.

Zero took note of the driver's skills, how was he so good at this? The way he glided over the roads with ease, and the speeding in turns was impressive. Zero was envious of the driver, so much so that he thought about killing him but that would affect the job. After the two of them got dropped off Zero looked at his brother as he asked his question. While flying would probably be a nice way to enter he could not deny the advantages of going by water, it would provide them cover and they were not reliant on gear to breathe like the humans did. It was just another reminder of how much better they were than every other race in the universe. "We should take the water route. We can go down to depths where they can not see, and there is enough life in the water that they would not be able to detect us." With that said Zero made moves to move into the water, when they had reached the water Zero took a needed breath to make a sighing sound, while he had indeed loved to swim, a new found pass time of his thanks to earth he did not like the feeling of the salt water after it had dried on his skin.
It had to be done though and so he sunk into the depths of the water looking over to watch his brother to make sure he was coming with. When he saw his brother Zero pushed through the water using his ability to fly, he made sure to aim himself downwards but towards the ship so that the wake he would make from his flight would not be seen from the surface. As they reached the ship all they had to do now was go up, which was not an issue for the pair. Zero lifted up slowly making sure to take the time to move upwards without the action being noted by those who might be above. According to the planning, the guards should be switching out on the starboard side of the ship. If they timed it right they could land safely without alerting anyone. Even if someone was there tho he was sure they could deal with them with ease.
After breaking the surface Zero made a finger gun with his right hand as he gathered a penny-sized sphere at the tip of it that was red in color. When they approached the Deck Level of the ship Zero made sure to hug the hull until they could peek over the railing. Seeing the coast was clear Zero floated to the top and landed softly making no sound as he did so. Scanning the area he could hear two men talking around the corner. Zero nodded his head as he moved slowly using his tail to balance himself as he turned the corner at the same time Ryme did to put a shot into the guard on the right. The sphere passed through the skull of the guard and went flying out the other side of their head before it disappeared with a low hum. The two guards hit the ground and were taken out with ease, it was too easy but not every human was Master Babadi's henchmen.
Zero and his brother went through with the rest of the plan and had taken out the guards and dumped their bodies over the ship for sharks and other sea creatures to eat. It was now time to radio in and let the rest of the crew know things were ready to go into the next phase of the plan. Zero looked at Ryme with a grin, he was sure his brother was having as much fun as he was killing these humans even though they were easy pickings. Zero gripped the radio to give the all-clear code phrase and got the reply phrase.
"I must admit while this was fun it was a bit too easy. Perhaps we should seek out greater opponents to fight."

Ryme would follow his brother to the ocean, doing a graceful dive he saw on tv as his body broke the surface of the water. Ryme enjoyed the ocean, but not for the same reasons as his brother. He liked to swim to observe the creatures underneath the sea. They represented a part of life in a simpler way. They still had a chain of command with the bigger fish on top, but what always interested him the most was the struggle of the smaller fish. They far outnumbered the bigger fish, but so far in all his time under the sea, he had yet to see a single group up and fight. That was because of the dominance of the big fish, a lesson that Ryme would need to learn. How to take, but just enough that the smaller groups wouldn't rise up. He knew that being too ambitious would lead to rebellion, he wanted to take just enough to make sure rebellion was never a thought. The ability to crush any resistance the one or two times it came up. This would be important in their conquest of the universe. That also meant that he'd need to leave earth alone for quite some time.
They would start to surface, slower than usual. Ryme had been in a trance as he flew/swim after his brother. He assumed the slow surface was to create as little of a presence as possible. It was a good thing that most guards weren't aware of Scouters, or the brothers might actually be in trouble. As they arrived on the ship Ryme would follow his brother's lead moving silently across the ship's deck. They were starboard side and it wouldn't take them long to run into their first pair of guards. Ryme's Ki ball was much smaller than usual, as he threw it right when his brother turned the corner. They both dropped their guards before they even knew they were dead. Ryme would cautiously grab the man and toss him into the ocean, just another piece of the food chain for the smaller fish to nibble on.
They'd move through the ship taking out each guard silently, it had been some time since Ryme got to be so mercilessly efficient. While he had been having fun discovering the earthling way of living. Sometimes he needed to feel the power of his race again, to crush and destroy all opposition. It wasn't the smartest way, but every once in a while it was. He couldn't help but savor each kill as they continued to throw guards off the railways. Finally, ending with an all-clear to the rest of the group. Ryme would follow the rest of the group around, waiting for any mistake to seize the opportunity for another kill.
"Seems like most of the fighters on this planet don't seem to care about money. Just means it is easier for us to make it, we will need stronger opponents so we don't go crazy though. We'll find them brother maybe we buy a scouter to help us."
Sadly, it seemed the rest of the team were actually professionals. Everything went off so smoothly that they were all nervous. It wasn't until they arrived back in the hotel that there was a collective sigh of relief. As the brothers took their payouts, the employer said that if he ever needed muscle again we'd be his first call. Ryme would nod his head as he counted his zeni walking out the door with his brother.
