Callion Location: Bamboo Forest; Eastern Continent - Planet Earth Time: 15:31 PM Current Powerlevel: 7,155
Callion had currently spent a fair amount of time on the Planet Earth ever since his arrival, his venture across parts of the world had been few and far, but already he had taken somewhat of a liking to this world and the inhabitants that dwell here – albeit in a more distanced approach to the matter of course. The Saiyan watched how the humans interacted with one another, learning as he walked around from city to city, town to town, village to village… Admittedly, he never knew what kind of culture, socialisation, art, or general behaviour Saiyan’s had on Planet Vegeta as he himself was sent away from his own homeworld by his parents during the dreaded Coup event, which in turn, led him to living a live of a monk on the Planet Bhupal during his youth and adolescence. Yet here on Earth, the Saiyan was learning so much as he watched the humans of this world interact with one another: How to be greet someone, being polite, courteous, aggressive in the competition, bullying, any and all aspects of positive and negative of the daily life that the Earthlings went through, Callion learnt and studied as he, himself, went about his own way across the world. It was honestly rather relaxing in traversing the globe in his own way, without the fear or worries of any external threat from outside the solar system making their warpath towards the planet with the intent of conquering Earth, enslaving the population – or worst-case scenario – blowing the entire world up… Well, at least not yet or the foreseeable future as of right now. For now, Callion’s current destination was traversing through the Bamboo Forest of the Eastern Continent. From the Frozen and windy range of the North, to the scorching dry heat of the West, it was the East that seemed, at least in the Saiyan’s mind, the most normal of climate temperatures with a mild mixture of a tropical atmosphere which results of such a environmental flora and fauna being a mixture of a real world equivalent of the Far East, luscious jungles and thick bamboo forests as far as the eye can see, the road traversing through the dense bamboo jungle was difficult as it is, and the roads themselves in poor service and neglected, allowing nature to take over and assert the dominance over the pavements that have aged with time. The Saiyan took a more casual and natural approach through the thick bamboo jungle, using his Saiyan tail; that was above average in size and length, as a form of rope, swinging from one branch to the next, feeling the rush of wind against his skin, hair and tail, Callion smirked in this change of pace with the way he was moving. Sure, he could fly amongst the skies with being able to fly – but truly – nothing could ever beat the feeling of using one’s own body in unique ways to traverse any terrain without the classical need of flying. A small smile dawned upon his face, with both legs firmly planting on a bamboo branch; strong and steady, the far eastern tree managed to hold and maintain the Saiyan’s weight, allowing him to stand up properly and get a better glimpse of the forest in a higher altitude. Yet, amidst all the bamboo and vast forest range, he heard something… Something odd and unusual for a place that was supposed to be mainly consistent of wild animals and plants of all kinds – Callion swore he could hear the sounds of someone struggling not too far from his general area. Curiosity began to eat at the Saiyan, wondering just who or what was making such a noise to be struggling so hard, unaware of the rather unorthodox meeting he was about to have with the voice in question, alongside how this may very well play out. Jumping back down to the grass surface, Callion began to venture onward, now a lot more careful and aware of his approach – the sounds he swore was getting a little louder, believing that he was heading in the right direction which in turn would soon enough come face to face with the person in question. That was at the moment where Callion finally met the person in question to the sounds of the constant struggling, and honestly, it was someone that he wasn’t expecting at all. The Saiyan’s eyes saw what appears to be a woman with green skin, simple clothes, obvious thick hair and quite the dazzling pair of eyes. It was no doubt ruined for the poor woman to currently be in a rather unfortunate and, dare on even say, an ungraceful position. The Saiyan saw the tree and vines all around her, and judging by her skin as well as the environment around her, Callion was capable enough to put two and two together to deduce it was by her own design. He remained sighed, his tail gently swaying freely with his arms folded as the Saiyan Monk had more questions than answers to come up with. Who is she? What is she doing here? Why is this unusual specimen of a woman and human hanging around in such a manner? Though most of all in his mind, how many jokes and puns he could create in this situation. Callion kept a vigilant mind as well as silent, awaiting to hear or see that this person did anything first in ether an aggressive or peaceful approach to the weird situation. Though perhaps this could be a situation where the two were sure to laugh about when this was all over… Or the exact opposite can very well happen with worse ramifications to which a full-blown fight could erupt between the two. One hoped that such a thing doesn’t occur, and yet, in this world anything was possible; especially with those who had the sole purpose of getting stronger by any means necessary… Which to Callion, he much more preferred to enjoy life in his own way… An alien idea; even for a Saiyan.

Post by Ayu on May 24, 2022 14:05:03 GMT -5
Over the last few days, a new thought emerged in Ayu's mind. There was a lot to think about, actually... Her focus was maneuvering around reflections on the nature of her newfound ability. Sometimes flora moved on their own. Branches peeked into her bedroom through the window, flowers turned towards her each time she was near or everything in her garden overgrew after a single night... Her control over plant manipulation wasn't that great. Was it her racial trait? She wished she knew. Every time Ayu learned something new about herself, there was no one to ask for advice or confide in. At this point, she got used to figuring things out on her own. And since the vegetation presence got stronger and Ayu realized that the synergy between her and flora was even deeper than she thought, she wanted to get better at it. More capable. Able to stand up for herself when needed, unlike last time... To understand her power completely, so she wouldn't make any mistakes - it was better to not only reflect on it but to put it to practice. So... Now was time to exercise. Putting on a grey set of training clothing, Ayu decided to venture into the forest once more. Training, after all, needed to be done in a secluded space, full of plants, peace, and lacking unwanted eyes and ears.
Here she was, devoting herself to practice in the middle of the bamboo grove. There was something peaceful in the shaded, quiet area of these woods... She wandered around those parts often, collecting herbs or simply having a walk. Now, however, a different activity was in order. At first, Ayu focused on controlling her energy and the growth of plants, measuring how much Ki is needed to influence them enough to act. Give too little, and it was easy to see with the naked eye how young foliage develops its leaves. Apply too much Ki and bamboo shoots fired from the ground, canes growing effortlessly taller than her. That could get messy pretty quickly... Ayu soon learned that she could either leave the energy there, which was absorbed by the plant soon later not altering its current form, or withdraw it, causing her ability to undo the growth. To be honest, she didn't feel comfortable with modifying mother nature like this, but the flora around wasn't neglecting her. In fact, plants cared back... So as long as she wasn't going to hurt them, she could accept her ability without second thoughts.
After two hours of basic training, the girl started to get some... Ideas. Mostly figuring out a nice way to avoid danger was her priority. Vines around Ayu, dandling from the trees came to her hands and picked her from the ground like she weighed nothing. It was great! - for ten seconds. Clinging to a liana, Ayu soon found out that it wasn't her ideal way of transportation - she couldn't fly, but being swung from one side to the other was a li-little... Not to her liking. She paled just a tiny bit. And cities were usually lacking this kind of flora, right? Once in the safety of the solid soil, Ayu rubbed her temples, thinking about what else she could do. Growing plants was easy, but what they could do with her help? Tilting her head Ayu decided that it would be good to figure out some other way of moving around... Not exactly for running away, but for strategical return. What about elevating herself from below? There are often blades of grass or occasional dandelion valiantly growing in the cracks of the pavement.
A branch sprung to life out of the ground, right under her. Ayu was balancing her weight on her left foot as it grew bigger, the vine lifted her smoothly. The girl opened her arms to find the point of stability, praying that she won't fall. It grew a bit taller than intended, two feet above the ground... Then she tried to take a step - another vine popped out of the grass, placing itself right under her foot to give her a soft but stable landing. Another step resulted in an identical action, but her motion became more confident - and after a while, it felt like walking on the ground! Or maybe between clouds~? Seems she was getting a hang of it! Ayu laughed with simple glee climbing higher with each step. Maybe it was excitement or she thought she could handle it, she started putting a bit more energy than she intended towards the ground. Stalks and canes growing to support her were now larger, taller... But what if she used more of her energy? Well, bit more than more - tips of Ayu's fingertips gleamed and before she realized it, the Ki output grew dangerously high.
The ground under her was now split open and bamboo along with lianas, a small tree, and thick tufts of grass just exploded. The growth stimulation turned out to be unpredictable and too efficient - where a second ago was nothing, now was a tiny spot of a lavish forest. Startled Ayu let out a sound that was a surprised sigh that turned into a soft but audible squeak when plants entangled her all around. Rapidly growing lianas not only throw Ayu off her feet, but also wrapped around her, vines and branches entangling her waist, left forearm, and legs. And the girl ended up... Stuck. The energy just soaked in and everything stopped growing, but for some reason, she had trouble undoing this situation... Her braid got intertwined with bamboo canes. She couldn't move her legs. What has she done..? Obviously, something foolish. Now Ayu was hanging upside down in this bamboo mess like eight feet above the ground.
"That didn't work as planned," she mumbled to herself closing her eyes for a moment and lifting her waist to do something about her imprisonment. With her free hand, she tried to pry the other one from the thick vines, but it didn't budge. Of course, she wasn't hurt nor the green wrapping was too strong - she just couldn't do it. With another quiet muttering and a sigh, Ayu relaxed her back and turned her view upside-down again. She did it, she was surely able to fix this mess... Taking a deep breath Ayu tried to focus, but another thing caught her attention. The plants were warning her for a while now about the strange presence, showing that they sensed a vibration caused by movement. Ayu felt that too - an unknown, strong energy closing in and... Before she even blinked, she saw a tall silhouette standing firmly high above the branch two trees away. Oh-ho.
In her short life, Ayu has already met a certain number of Saiyans, and she could spot a difference in this one. As much as she could see from this unsightly position, that is. Well, for example, the black-haired young man was looking at her with curiosity, but wary in a way, most likely being silent for a reason. She wasn't sure what it mean, but since her last encounter with that race almost ended with a panic attack, Ayu wasn't resolved to approach or speak first. To be honest that observant staring was making her uneasy... Ayu's eyes looked away to avoid the stranger's gaze as she felt a nervous blush creeping in towards her cheeks. After what happened in East City she was avoiding people as much as possible, but right now she didn't feel this full of pressure panic... His Ki was surprisingly calm - but he kept staring without saying anything! Was it that funny to see her in this mild distress..? What were his intentions? Should she brace herself? Anxiety started kicking in and now her cheeks were painted with deep rose color.
"P-please don't la-laugh," she uttered with an abashed, soft voice. Suddenly, perhaps under the pressure of her unease, bamboo gave in. Shooting in the air new canes created a half-circle in front of her, obstructing the view with thick stalks, while the main mess of branches started to shrink. Finally! Ayu herself slipped from the grasp of the vines - it wasn't visible because of the bamboo curtain, but the somewhat dull sound of the girl landing on the ground stated that she regained her freedom. Mumbling quietly to herself Ayu dusted her clothing and hid behind the biggest stalk. A powder green hand appeared on an emerald cane. Right after that, half of her head carefully peeked out from behind the bamboo. Some pale leaves were now adorning her disheveled braid and clothes, but Ayu paid them no mind. She was looking at the stranger cautiously like she'd wanted to predict what was going to happen... That flush on her face and difficulty to speak up weren't helpful.
What should she ask about, anyway?

From the moment the Saiyan’s eyes watched the behaviour of the strange ‘Green-Skinned’ looking human act and behave, requesting Callion to not laugh and motion her body once she landed on the grassy floor with the aid of the bamboo canes that shot up from the ground beneath her, covering her from his eyes – he had learned a lot from this unusual woman already upon initial contact from the prolonging silence. Truly in his eyes there was just so much to learn and gain knowledge about such people from this planet that there was honestly a lot to take in, and yet where did he exactly start with this woman? … Naturally, as he had just so met her, he had no idea just what she was truly capable off and how far her unnatural powers, at least in the Saiyan’s eyes, went in terms of scale and raw energies; not to mention just how dangerous they could be in the art of combat, provided of course she could even hold her own in the timely honoured tradition of fisticuffs.
The first of what Callion had learned immediately right off the bat with this woman was the power of manipulating and controlling plants around her; a rather interesting and honestly surprising gift that one is able to use – If one had an eye of investments and transforming a whole planet, then one could see this woman as a literal goldmine in terraforming a dead planet into a lush jungle and grass plain paradise. Callion squinted his eyes and examined the Bamboo canes properly and saw that the ones that immediately shot up from the ground were just as sturdy, strong and viable as any other naturally blossomed plant within the forests that the two were resided in. The fact that this person managed to bring forth a whole acting curtain of these Bamboo canes to cover her from such an ungraceful position, in the Saiyan’s eyes, that she was already rather adapt with the power that Ayu had at her disposal.
“Interesting.” The Saiyan spoke with calm, soft voice to which he revealed to the hiding woman, taking a few short glances at her half of head poking out from the biggest stalk. Judging from the girl’s shy nature and the way she spoke and acted, it didn’t leave much to the initial imagination that she was – by rights – flustered and shy from the initial meeting, and in a way, Callion could not honestly blame her. His hands remained folded and his Saiyan tail; a large and long monkey like object flowed freely and unwrapped around his waist. The tail itself was larger than the average tail, its fur coated in a jet-black colour matching the exact same colour as his hair that hid well amongst the dense shade that was provided from the branches, to which Callion used his own tail, due to how versatile and strong it was from evident training, that he was able to sit on it as a stool.
A moment of pondering and thinking began to perplex the Saiyan for a moment before simply shrugging and had a smirk. “Tempting. Very tempting to not laugh. Though I suppose I should behave and stick about… However, for your case you can always just… ‘Hang’ around.” Callion replied to Ayu’s initial request not to laugh, and for a Saiyan; the very symbol of a serious, battle-hardened warrior race… Decided to not only comply with her request, but to make a joke as well as a pun about the situation. The smirk only grew from that point on, leaning back on his own tail, folding his arms once more before sighing. “I have to admit Green Human, you certainly left me ‘Bamboozled’ from your power, well ‘Toucan’ play at that game.”
The Saiyan continued his bombardment of Jokes and Puns out of the blue, even he couldn’t help but find them funny himself. Callion’s mind was now questioning himself as to how or why he was even making these unusual humours at the attempt of talking to the strange human looking girl. Was it from his own sake at actually talking to someone for the first time on this strange planet, or maybe his way at trying to calm the situation down from the obvious embarrassment that he just so happened to stumble upon Ayu hanging around on several vines by a tree? At least Callion thought that his own jokes were funny, regardless of the fact that many humans may or may not consider such humours to be equal to the dreaded ‘Dad Jokes’.
“No need to hide from me Human, I’m not going to hurt you. So don’t be so ‘stumped’ of the situation here. I certainly don’t want to be ‘barking’ up the wrong tree. Not in this forest of all things, so come out of hiding and at least show yourself.” Callion spoke out to the hiding woman, continuing to show himself as an unusual Saiyan will zero intent to harm or hurt the girl in anyway, actually paying his respects to not laugh directly at her, just having a little fun at the obvious situation upon initially meeting Ayu. Whether or not Ayu is a fan of such puns and jokes alone, as well as going forward with actually meeting the Saiyan face to face was all up in the air so to speak, and in the ‘human’s perspective, one could honestly say that she’s had such an experience first hand by her own power.
Keeping the situation calm was the most important part of this unorthodox meeting between the two, which was also the reason why he kept his Ki surprisingly calm – another unusual factor of Saiyan’s, for such people would rather have their energy spike and raging forth like a wild fire, allowing themselves to be spotted out in the open.. For this particular member of the warrior race, his ki was like of a Candle light: Kept intentionally small, but radiant, calm but alluring, and combined with his first impression that was his personality, he’d hope to finally have a word with the ‘Green Human’ at last.
One can only hope that she possessed a funny bone in her.

To say that the situation changed out of blue was an understatement. The first word of the stranger, despite being spoken in a friendly tone, could have meant many different things. Ayu continued to stand her ground behind the cane. Maybe the last encounter was weighing on her mind a bit... But so far most of the Saiyans she met weren't hostile - at least not toward her. Better safe than sorry, right? The relaxed though ready-to-act posture and composed demeanor were something so categorically opposing to the typical Sayian nature... Then again, it's not like short lessons, and students' gossip could so easily picture the pinnacle of the alien dispositions. A typical Saiyan. Ayu couldn't say that using stereotypes was a good excuse to be cautious, but she had her reasons... And contrary to them, the stranger decided to casually sit and rest on his tail, gazing at her curiously. She knew there was nothing to fear here, she felt it - yet the uneasiness wasn't leaving. And after that came, well...
Puns and jokes presented with a pleased smirk. Now that was shocking - she honestly didn't expect that. Leaning out of her hideout a little, Ayu looked at the Saiyan with a cautious astonishment. Her expression shifted from abashed to confused. Did she hear that right? Pale eyes blinked - she never thought that a mighty warrior remaining in his composed attitude would be showing this kind of humor... Yet this person presented himself with peaceful mannerism and, she dared to think, a pacifist-like calmness. Given that, the puns she heard were even more surprising and frankly, caught her off guard. Ayu rubbed her flushed cheek with her pointing finger, bewildered, trying to make heads and tails of it. Her nervous blush was just starting to fade away when her focus was aiming now at something else... The girl took a small step to the side, halfway peeking out of the bamboo, right side of her body behind the wide stalk.
Was this display of humor a way of mocking her? Ayu shook that thought right away. No, no it didn't feel like it. Judging by the sense of cheerfulness in Saiyan's voice and his honest presence, it couldn't be it - or he could be a very good actor. She took it as a little clumsy, or simply a very specific attempt of showing her that the stranger meant no harm. Even if his sense of humor was pretty peculiar, Ayu appreciated it. Not every day... That is, not often, does she bump into someone showing such consideration. And maybe because she was simply surprised - or she felt a small prickly, but warm feeling - although still a bit uneasy, the young woman started chuckling gently.
"I w-was careless, that's all..." Ayu finally admitted her mistake after a soft laugh, her fingers now intertwined with the tip of green, small braid. It wasn't embarrassing to acknowledge one's lack of experience, but still... Letting out a dose of energy too big to handle was clearly a beginner's error. She should have known better than to be carried away like that - and in the end, get stuck in the vines she created. "I guess I don't know my own strength," she revealed a small, embarrassed smile.
It wasn't a lie. Her energy was still fuzzy compared to others. Did she get stronger lately or not at all? Her newfound ability was very potent but would she ever be capable of utilizing it right... Something was blocking Ayu from sensing herself properly, she remained as a blurry spot among other clear signatures of energy. And about Ki speaking, the number of a strong presence on Earth increased dangerously as of late. All those warriors, soldiers, mercenaries... Ayu chose a secluded place to train but she wasn't alone with that idea, was she? A stealthily glance around showed her that she made a mess. No doubt someone came to check what kind of chaos was taking place in this corner of the bamboo forest. Or was her presence too unusual in this place that it created suspicion? Oh, she wouldn't want that.
"I apologize if I made a commotion and disturbed you, sir." She started feeling abashed again, in a small bow lowering her head towards the stranger. Was she really so thoughtless? Everywhere around her, the newly sprouted and cultivated branches, trees, and bamboos were creating a fancy but puzzling mass of vegetation. Without natural order, they did look slightly out of place. Overgrown lianas and vines were hanging from above so long that they coiled in the grass. Canes leaned close to the ground so they could lift her during the interrupted practice. In a few spots patches of wildflowers started to bloom... Yes, a mess. She ought to tidy this up sooner rather than later.
This situation was unusual. Saiyan's presence was strong and undeniable, and judging by his posture he was at least a head taller than her and twice as wide. That already carried an intimidating factor. And he kept calling her Green Human - only one part of that statement was right, but she lacked the resolve to say it's wrong... And it was a little impolite. Ayu was still keeping her distance, but the decision to guard herself was declining. Despite all that was understandable. Because of his energy, reinforced by the statement, that the Saiyan wasn't going to hurt her, Ayu started to hesitate. He was genuine. Ki was always one of a kind signature like a business card presenting its owner. Each living being got a different color, intensity, and feel, and their characteristics varied from each other so vividly - at least for Ayu. It wasn't all about the level of strength, but things that were carried by Ki. Fortunately or not, she was able to sense it, even if sometimes she wished she couldn't. About the stranger, his energy was reminding her of a peaceful state of nature. A calm sea or breeze, that perhaps given reason, could turn into a roaring tempest.
Maybe it would be alright..? With her hand still on the stalk, Ayu took another small step, now standing next to the bamboo. She lightly tilted her head to the side, shyly looking up at the stranger from the ground.
"G-good afternoon," in a warm voice she offered a late greeting, awaiting his response.

“Never apologise if you have not done anything wrong. You certainly didn’t disturb me, though more along the lines that you managed to catch my attention with your power. It’s certainly unique and unlike anything I have ever seen before.” Callion replied, offering the woman who stood more into the open which caused the Saiyan’s smile to grow even more from seeing the Green Human gain more confidence, and in her way, trusting the stranger to engage more in a conversation. “Oh, and a good afternoon to you too. Though judging by your appearance, no offense to be made here, you are obviously not a normal Human. That, and I have no desire to call you ‘Green Human’ anytime soon. You can call me Callion. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking to before me o’ master of bamboozling a Saiyan?” A joke escaped the warrior monks’ lips once more, stifling a laughter to which he had to cover his mouth with a clenched left hand. His body shifted slightly, continuing to sit on his tail that continued to support his weight, demonstrating the strength that he possessed with his unusually large tail even amongst those of his kind.
His Ki that the Saiyan continued to examine internally for himself was still matching of a calm and gentle flame, a simply light that one could see on a candle. Simple, efficient, and also a determine factor of one’s motives. Callion currently did not possess the skills to sense the Ki’s of other fighters yet, nor have the means to suppress his own energy for that matter, and yet even if he did, it would rather obvious to the intelligent individual and by assessing Ayu’s currently personality and her powers alone, the Saiyan could tell that the person he was currently speaking to was no fool. No, for while there was the social side of a shy and gentle soul before him, there was something… More about her… Something that he couldn’t quite put his finger on. Just who was she? Where did she come from? How did such a person turn out to be in this world with such an unusual power that he has never seen before – to use the word interesting was more of a polite way to describe how the Saiyan was currently feeling towards this woman. Did he desire to be friends? Possibly. After all, in a strange and unknown world that he has yet to explore in its entirety – it was always wise to befriends the inhabitants of such a planet in order to gain a better foothold and eventuality a place to call home… Or a second home at best.
“In all serious though, you have quite the interesting power you possess. The very ability to manipulate and control the flow of plantlife and vegetation that matches the environment and make it stronger is quite an impressive feast. A person like you could very well be capable to reinstate life on other worlds on a colossal scale. You could even make quite the business should your kind learn interstellar travel amongst the cosmos.” Callion spoke aloud, rubbing his chin slowly whilst he squinted his eyes and motioned his head forward to Ayu. There was also the choice of clothing that she was wearing before him. Simple and elegant, one could almost make the distinction that she was from a bygone era which, by all accounts, can be an honest mistake from someone that was not that currently connected with the standards that the Earth’s choice of clothing provided, though Callion was not in such a position to make such a claim for his clothes; provided to him by the Monks of Planet Bhupal, were just as mistakably obvious to that of an ordinary Martial Artist Gi that could be worn by anyone that was practicing combat fighting on Earth.
Perhaps there was respect that he should give to her for possessing such a rare and unique power, and the wide multitude of things he could accomplish if the two were to join forces. One can imagine the sheer type of plantlife and tress that could be created by her hands and be used as training weights to push the Saiyan’s body to new levels of power and strength were limitless in his mind… Yet he noticed that such a use of energy, even if it was large for her to have used played a role in how the small area of the environment changed. That was also a factor; could her power also play a damaging role to the area around her, affecting not just the flora but fauna as well? For such a dramatic change to the ecosystem however big or small could have a life altering effect to the land around them, and that was just the tip of the iceberg.
The Saiyan slowly got up on his feet, no longer using his own uniquely large tail as a chair and walked over towards the wide Stalk, clenching his fist and proceeded to knock on the Bamboo cane itself, feeling the texture and how study the plant was before him. “You managed to create not just this, but a whole curtain of these trees instantly is incredible. I am curious to how your power works. Can you create anything, or is it environmentally based on the area around you? I can’t imagine you walking along a forest like this and decide to instantly grow a Peach Tree of all things, right? Or possibly a vegetation that conflicts with the current plant growth in this area?” Callion continued with his questions – revealing his curious mind and intent on seemingly bombarding the poor girl that was mainly focused on who she was and the power that was within the palm of Ayu’s hands.
“So, by all means… I know we may have just met, but I am intrigued. What is your story? How did you come to be the person you are? If it’s personal and you desire to not tell me, I won’t hold it against you. Afterall, we have only literally just met. Please for my straightforward and direct approach. I do not mean to be so forward so early on upon meeting one another like this. What is clear to me, is you are unlike any Human I have ever come across in my travels upon this world… That’s a compliment. You are unique.”

Was that a compliment or a lecture? Certainly felt like both. Williams once told Ayu that she apologizes too much, even when there was no need to. It became a habit of hers with time. Saiyan taking a notice of that reminded her of her aunt... Well, easier said than done. The girl was too polite for her own good for a reason. Having a casual conversation wasn't something that happened to her often, so there was no occasion to practice chatting - just to be safe she always minded her manners. When everything failed and she was too shy to speak up, a polite, well-meaning formula could help her say what she had to tell. Seemed to work at school or in the neighborhood... And now? Since she decided to stick to the area around her home, Saiyan was the first person she had a chance to speak with for some time now. How could she use a different way of speaking, and in front of a stranger to that? She wasn't feeling comfortable enough to speak her mind this way, even when Saiyan was doing so from the beginning.
What was more surprising, the stranger seemed keenly interested in her presence here. Understandable if he found her ability intriguing, but despite its potential Ayu only started to learn. She didn't feel so skilled, earlier mistakes proved that she needed to keep practicing if she wanted to be more capable. Was it worth noticing now? Perhaps... And he could pinpoint one thing for sure - she wasn't a normal human, or maybe even a human to begin with - though it's not like she had any knowledge to brag about her heritage. Ayu only felt embarrassed a bit, when he talked and talked and was met with her insufficient replies. At least it didn't ruin his mood, opposite in fact. The jokes that kept coming were basically all one-liners. Callion enjoyed his sense of humor, didn't he..? The young woman's cautious expression softened a little.
"My name is Ayu," she introduced herself, placing her hand above her heart. Yet, another Saiyan that she has met in the last weeks... Should she feel troubled by the growing numbers of them visiting the blue planet? Though this one seemed the calmest and most collected, looks could be deceiving - yet energy was not. Curious... Listening to his words Ayu's eyes narrowed slightly when she focused on emerging thoughts. The idea of reestablishing or outright creating natural balance was tempting but had too many loose ends. "That wouldn't be so simple," she smoothed her clothing before crouching down. Placing her hands on the grass, she gently scooped the sprouting plant, holding it carefully between her fingers. Standing back, Ayu tilted her head looking down, thick, green bangs tickled greenish temples. For her, any lifeform was precious, that was visible in her gestures and eyes - yet she wasn't obsessively focused on protecting it. The true balance of things, as well as nature itself, was cruel. One needed to die so another one could live, and disarraying the order could lead to disaster... Perhaps that's why the beauty of it was standing out even more? Focusing on the sprout, with just a drop of her energy, Ayu watched it unfold - the roots emerged softly wrapping around her wrists, and the young, pale green bamboo stalks, not thinner than her pinky, grew a few inches tall and stayed this way, presenting themselves. Ayu tenderly touched young leaves. "I can't influence a life that isn't there - a plant needs to already exist for me to help it grow," she explained softly. When withdrawing her energy, the bamboo folded back into the sprout, tucking in leaves and roots until it looked the same as when Ayu picked it up.
Why not tidy up a bit while she's at it? Placing down the sprout she took, the girl looked around. Perhaps it was the right moment to soothe the overgrown plants that she used for her training. Her energy in them was slowly getting absorbed, but she wasn't comfortable enough with letting them grow like that. It was a bamboo forest - the green canes were the dominant species here. Every other sapling and vine she used were fated to wither away after losing the fight for soil or sun. Letting them be could disrupt the order and if left unattended, cause the bamboo forest to cease to exist. It might have been uncomfortable to do, but it was the natural way of things. Strangely, Ayu found comfort in that. Laws of nature were much clearer to her than those of humans or other races. With tips of her fingers gleaming, one by one, lianas shrunk and placed back on the branches they originally were hanging from. The young trees returned to their positions, and the stalks and canes Ayu used for practice were one by one slowly hiding underground, returning to their unmatured forms. They should sleep there a little bit more before sprouting again...
Callion was quiet for a moment. Seemed like she wasn't the only one lost in her thoughts. He too showed reflective nature and despite his comments and jokes, he exactly knew how to address what was on his mind. Ayu couldn't exactly say if it was straightforwardness or maybe unacquaintance with tact... If she wouldn't be able to sense his energy, his curiosity and frankness could have been making her even more alert - but now? It was hard to tell. Saiyan was quite sharp, in one way praising her ability, in the other asking about the principles of how it all worked. The thing standing out the most in his presence was his composure and the nonchalance - and a bit of mystery. Athren was taking care of his children, and the Saiyan from East City wasn't afraid to intervene if he only deemed it necessary. Callion was... Curious. He both showed that he was a curious being with his questions, and his behavior made her wonder how he came to be. Weird, weren't Saiyans known for being unpredictable..?
And just like that Callion got on his feet and walked towards her, his eyes on the last created-by-her bamboo present. Thinking that he was about to punch the stalk, Ayu raised both of her hands, but it only ended with a knock on the woody surface. She gave him that was unnecessary look and sighted a little. Though... Oh, how grateful she was that she didn't return that one cane to its previous size. Now showered with questions and attention, Ayu again hid behind the stalk, like it was the lifeboat in this distressing moment. Gluing her back to the green cane, she looked down, feeling not only her cheeks flushing but the tips of her ears as well.
"I c-can only influence plants that are already around me. I can't create a new one. Besides..." joining her fingers and anxiously playing with them, Ayu was searching for the right words in her mind. Questions about her powers and nature were most welcome, though the sudden shortening of the distance between her and Callion and him shifting attention to the young woman, well... She felt safer behind the bamboo for now. "Each biome has its balance. If I-I were to shake the equilibrium it could have the opposite effect and devastate the area..." once she started focusing on her explanation, the ground was stable under her feet again. "I'm not that strong to create an alien lifeform that would instantly become a part of a different biome. I would like to help fill the wastelands, b-but..." But could she? The biome could not possibly withstand it, and she had no power to change the whole ecosystem with a nudge of her hand. That ability would be terrifying... Not only could she return life to barren land, but she could also destroy the fertile ground, sentencing countless lives to death through starvation. "If I could help... Land, animals, and people need to get used to the change, let alone nature itself. Being hasty with my help could be fatal. It would be ideal to plant vegetation there little by little, in the span of years, to make sure it acclimatizes properly," soft smile bloomed on Ayu's face. "Then, with care and time, it should work."
See? Her ability wasn't that outstanding, but perhaps the fact that she understood it so well, and her role in the Earth's biosphere, made it more important? Maybe.
And if she felt less flustered by talking about the subject she truly loved, now Ayu was getting more and more abashed. D-does Callion not know that by speaking this way he was only making her shy..? Oh no, it was plainly visible now... Her face was bright pink, to the point where she felt her cheeks burning. Intrigued? By her? She's unique..? Ayu had to lean on the bamboo behind her. If it was biologically possible, she would have already melted into a green puddle and sunk into the ground. She have never received so much attention and, as simple as that, she didn't know how to react in this situation.
"I-I'm... Not someone t-that interesting..." Ayu finally spoke up, feeling how shakey and soft her voice was. "I've lived my whole life in this area, m-my house is in the forest next to the East City." Looking at the grass and bamboo all around, Ayu didn't know what more to say. In the end, she was just a boring and terribly shy person - though she wasn't feeling that bad with this awareness. Just... Her tone was lowered with melancholy. "I don't think I'm a human either, it's just I don't know what my parents' race was," she admitted, perhaps for the first time in her life saying her suspicion about her late parents out loud. "T-That's all. I'm just me." She smiled gently.
But why does she feel so conflicted?

Throughout the conversation, Callion listened well and took in the knowledge and insight from Ayu’s own words and replies to each question. His facial features had the same curious energy as before – that desire to learn and study her in a well-meaning and fascinated manner to which he meant well in the most common sense of course. There was power and plenty of potential within this girl, there was no denying that, but one must wonder as to how to truly unlock the gift that she has within her hands to which truth be told a part of the Saiyan truly wanted to train with this woman, just for the sole reason of helping her out in bringing out what other kind of powers that she was keeping to herself that can only grow and blossom further as Ayu got ever stronger. The mere thought excited him in a way, his uniquely large tail swayed a little faster with his mind racing of the ideas alone as it was. Yet, as he examined Ayu, along with the environment around him, a thought dawned upon on; could this girl be getting the benefits by remaining closely connected to plantlife, provided of course that they good health? Questions for later to be sure.
It was then that the Saiyan monk took note of her answers regarding being unable to influence life that wasn’t there and the planet needs to already exist for this strange and unique woman to help such a plant to grow. Now that just opened a lot more questions than answers. If that was truly the case, was there a possible kind of loophole to provide life to a barren wasteland, let alone a planet, in the more uncongenial sense? “I see… Not simple and can’t influence life to which a plant needs to already exist for you to grow, that much I understand. However, supposed if you had a variety of plants with you on a barren land, and you plant them into the soil. Would you then be able to use those plants as a basic to reignite life to that wasteland as an example?” Callion asked, looking at Ayu intently whilst she was in hiding, unaware of just how much he was complimenting the girl and causing her to become ever shyer. “I genuinely don’t think you understand just how useful and incredible such a power can be used… If I am correct in this statement, you may just have a gift that can not only be of so much help not only to the people around you, but I genuinely think on a more cosmic scale, but also a power that can save so many lives.”
That was when he began to ponder on the subject in wanting to help her. If what she said was true and used the opportunity to help herself get stronger, then maybe there perhaps might even be a way to assist in the process. Noticing the opportunity to ask such a question, Callion decided to pop the question in for Ayu, perhaps such an enquiry might be beneficial in the long run, “Well, if you were out here training, as obvious as it was with you swinging on a vine and trapped upside down from that little accident of yours, then maybe I can help you? What better way in improving yourself and getting all the stronger and better control of your powers than with a training partner?” A bold suggestion from someone that has only just met the Bio-Android human, one must admit. Yet sometimes, when a person was clearly struggling in controlling their abilities in order to make better use of them, then it requires that these moments need a helping hand from an individual that is also seeking a path to getting stronger. “You are out here training on your own, that must be obvious. However, how would you be able to properly hone your skills to better yourself without someone taking on a role of a supervisory position or active combatant? I am sure that the inhabitants of this planet have a wide assortment of books that have detailing of plants and seeds, and since you don’t believe you are human either, that can be further tested with training. So, Ayu, what do you say?”
If Callion was this interested in offering himself as a training partner, then the sole reason behind it was either; 1. He has taken an interest to Ayu herself in a training and the desire to see such a woman become a far better and more confident individual was paramount, and 2. He desired to know just how far her powers could truly go in the right direction as well as the effective training that can benefit both the Bio-Android and the Saiyan himself. “If you do not wish to, that is perfectly fine. I won’t force you to, nor do I have any desire to even make you. It’s an offer nonetheless, if you want to get stronger, and perhaps develop better confidence in who you are and the powers that, I’m sure, will make you a hero in this world in the foreseeable future.” The Saiyan smiled, before slowly turning on his heels – his body language indicating that he was about to leave the area for now. “I’ll spent some more time here in the Eastern Continent before I go out to travel once more. If you want to take up the offer in some training, then we can meet at… Eeeeeh…. Break Wasteland? I feel like that can be a good place to develop your powers at an easier level I think.”
Callion’s tail acted as if it was a spare hand and proceeded to wave goodbye at Ayu, and with his actual right hand, he gave a thumbs up to the Green Human. “Hope to see you again Ayu. You can ‘swing’ on by to see me again if you want to train. I’ll be ‘rooting’ for you when you come on over, and if you don’t? Well, I hope we can meet again sometime in the future.” In that moment the Saiyan Monk that just so happened to have stumbled upon Ayu by accident began to leave the general vicinity, the tall and muscular warrior inevitably faded in to the shadows of the Bamboo Forest, from a visible view, to a shadow-like silhouette, and at last, completely faded out of sight and out of mind. Whether this young woman truly wanted to get stronger and better herself as an individual by the opportunity to have a partner that can assist her in getting stronger was at the palm of her hands.
The question now? Will she at last Take it…

In her relatively short life, Ayu has spent lots of her time alone. Although the neighborhood was close by and she attended public school, there was no one to talk to or confide with. She was used to the whispering feelings of plants and their presence, rather than words spoken out. People avoided her, branding her as an alien race, unwanted on the blue planet... She already met some unpleasant gazes and inconsiderate remarks spat without hesitation. There were friendly people, that's true - but they never stayed long, brushing only a surface of politeness in their short chats. And somehow... She met a stranger that was only showing her words of encouragement and kindness. Perhaps the surprise of this encounter only raised her abashment, but Ayu simply wasn't sure what to do. Her lack of social interactions was showing, much to her embarrassment, even if Saiyan's presence was nothing but welcomed. Although the attention she received... Let's say that she wasn't this flustered since she froze during the presentation in front of her whole class during fifth grade.
Besides... He was indeed not excessively or rudely interested in her and her abilities, it was more genuine. Both the Ki and his voice told her that. And Callion made interesting points that were worth thinking over - so far he took the effort to listen to her and respond, trying to understand how she and her power worked. Was it a good thing or not, who knew. But he still made her take notice of new aspects and possibilities. Having vegetation already prepared there to proceed with afforestation would be so practical. That wasn't something she thought about before - mostly because Ayu wasn't able to bring enough plantlife to fill a barren area with herself on a weekend trip... That wasn't physically possible. Still... The ability allowing her to make flowers bloom and trees sprung from the soil with just a spark of her energy seemed impossible to exist not even a week ago. Ayu ran her thumb against the cream-green skin of her palm. Can she breathe her Ki into seeds? If so, maybe the whole ordeal could be an easy fit and everything she'd need would consist of a pouch of grains instead of trucks filled with bushes and shrubs.
"That is correct," Ayu admitted gently, her mind slipping towards considering possible options and outcomes. When her thoughts focused on flora, she almost forgot how abashed she felt. "But if the biome isn't suitable for vegetation, despite taking roots they could not adjust well. They would require my attendance so they wouldn't wither... And I'm not sure it would work for every case." Right... It was like growing plants in a garden without having any place that would fill their needs - that could work only with a lot of care and attention, and eventually, it would pay off. In this case, the means were energy-based so were more effective, but planting a healthy palm in a cold environment would lead to disaster. Despite it being fine at first, it wouldn't be able to grow or develop properly, right? As long as they would be reasonable enough, it should work. "They need to acclimate to their surroundings, but I'm not sure if I can adjust every plant to every place..." she frowned a little with concern. "This is biologically unheard of, and even if by some miracle I was able to pull that off, I wouldn't want to. That c-could shake the natural order of things and do more harm than good."
Nature was neutral. It was neither evil nor good, it just was. Laws of survival were cruel and unforgiving, but nature was also beautiful and majestic in its unique way... And Ayu preferred this way of things rather than the complicated and messed up world of Earthlings all around her. At least she understood her own standing here, unlike out there in the jungle of concrete, glass, and steel.
Perhaps something in his words resonated within. Saving lives didn't sound that bad either, Ayu wasn't the type of person to turn her back on those in need even if gods know she was in need more often than she'd like to admit. That didn't mean she has a right to be ignorant or heartless, did it? Well, Callion could save that last comment to himself. Ayu felt the tips of her ears getting reddish for a moment. He didn't have to remind her about this little accident and her ending up upside-down! If she only could, she would have already sunk into bamboo's stalk... The young woman stroke her burning cheeks, but the most flabbergasting was yet to happen.
"You'd like t-to train with me..?" That was shocking. Having a conversation partner was good enough. But a training partner? Just how? Judging by his posture and visible musculature Ayu would drop like a fly after the first hit. And her powers lacked too much to feel confident in any kind of training. She barely started herself, brainstorming and figuring out how to use it to put up a decent workout attempt, let alone a fight. But she indeed knew a lot about Earth's flora. That couldn't be denied. "I am quite knowledgeable in this already, it's just..." Hesitation in her voice was clear, when she sighed soundlessly, looking at her hands. "Knowing is one thing and putting it into practice is another," Ayu said, perhaps not to Saiyan but to herself. No one said it was going to be easy. Lost in thoughts, the girl stretched her hands, curling them into fists and opening fingers again, looking at them wistfully. With great power came great responsibility...
Seems the young woman got lost in her pondering because it took her a moment to understand what she just heard.
"N-no, no, I never said that..." Ayu turned around, almost hugging a bamboo cane and her head peeked out of the hideout. Her expression looked at the nonchalantly waiting Saiyan with caution. The last thing she wanted was to offend him and made him think that she thinks lightly of his proposition. She cleared her throat, trying to speak just a half tone louder, but ended up with a troubled and timid voice. "I'm thankful for your offer Callion, but I'm not a h-hero." Ayu's fingers started to anxiously play with the dark green locks of her braid. Her eyes avoided gazing at him directly, damn you embarrassment! "I-I would need to give it some thought." Yes. She needs to think about it. But Saiyan wasn't expecting the answer right there - saying that he hopes to meet her again. That was considerate of him. To release the lingering tension he added another set of puns and just like that, he was ready to go. "R-right. Please take care," it was all she could utter as her goodbye while Callion disappeared between the stalks of the bamboo.
His energy signature moved away from this area, so once again Ayu was standing alone in the forest. As suddenly as this encounter happened, it ended, but her head was now full of loose puzzles and thoughts that needed to be organized. After an awfully long time, she finally had enough of thinking done to move from her spot. Bamboo stalk softly curled back into the ground, to sleep a little longer.
Ayu walked back home.
