As Athren had continued to watch the mighty Oozaru go after one another, he began to get mildly annoyed. They weren't focused on the task at hand, of course, he didn't expect them to be guided targets or attack the base specifically but he did assume it would have gotten more attention from the two of them, or they would have at least stomped it out during their own fight but neither of those was the case. They had been too focused on one another to think about any of the little threats, the small individuals trying to gain the upper hand on the beasts by blasting them with bullets and artillery. The ammunition from their weapons was unable to even cause a sting to the large apes causing massive damage and destruction to the city itself. Most who would be spectating in real-time or now on the news broadcasting of the Earth would be more than aware, that there was no hope to save this city, the souls stuck inside that couldn't get out would more than likely face a terrible fate, one that they couldn't escape from. Vehicles were more likely to catch attention, running would just be too slow, it was like these people were trapped inside of a horror movie, those behind their TV's watching as buildings fell, as they crumbled in on the ones who remained inside trying to find and shield from the horrors from outside their window, hope was fading, no hereos would come, nothing could stop this except time.
Though time wasn't an ally to the Earthlings in this case, the night had just begun, the moon was out for hours yet to shine brightly down upon the mighty apes. They could only hope that one ape would beat another and wander off, but that wasn't going to happen. The apes had their full energy, their battle had barely begun. The night of terrors had just started. There was nothing Athren could do immediately to make this situation end quicker, at least not without transforming into something else and at this point his options were bouncing more and more throughout his mind.
"Oh the hell with it!" Athren mumbled quietly. Though he didn't want to transform into the mighty Oozaru himself, he felt as if it was really going to be the only way that this job was going to get done. Though there was plenty of time left, he wasn't patient enough to wait for the outcome he would desire. Though, he would hope that maybe the other apes would see him as a threat, as the Alpha, maybe they'd stop fighting and smash the city.
It was at this point that Athren's ocean blue eyes glared up at the beautiful, bright shine of the full moon. The blutz waves immediately affecting his body as it began to grow and stretch. His attire was all saiyan made, stretchy clothing, stretchy armor and of course his weights still mounted on the armor. As he grew all of his clothing had stretched with him, his body growing a dark grey-colored fur that matched his tail. When the transformation had been complete, Athren stood along the highest buildings, his figure large and intimidating. The people witnessing this live or through television devastated as another large creature had came into play, another one to destroy the city they loved so much. As his weight increased, Athren and crushed through the building below, it wasn't designed to take the weight on the top, it crumbled and crashed and Athren found himself standing in the ruins of the crumbling building, crushing it like it were a sand castle on the beach.
What nobody would be able to understand, is Athren was their salvation. The cities fate was sealed, it was on the clock until it all laid in ruin. Athren would be able to control his attacks and end the misery the people were facing in a near-instant. He could control himself and target what he needed to and more importantly, finish his mission.
His first course of action was dealing with the two Oozaru's that had been before him fighting away and trying to take each other down, the ones trying to prove who was the strongest of them all. Athren didn't think he'd need to beat them in a straight-up fight, while in his Oozaru form he thought there was a chance to communicate with them through body language. Though even if the chance was small, he'd have to try it. After all, they were all of the same race and even the mighty Oozaru's mindset would realize that they were all the same here, they just needed to distinguish the alpha of the pack and redirect their aggression out on a different target.
With Athren standing tall in his furry, dark grey form he let out a loud, brave, challenging roar to the mighty Oozaru's that had challenged each other. His right fist swung up to collide with his chest once and only once, demonstrating a control that the others didn't have. He stood tall, ready and waiting for them to charge him first. Though Athren was in a form he hadn't been in what seemed like a decade, he had felt right at home. It was like a long lost friend, the raw power of it all, he felt it jolting through his body, the strength, the raw potential of the saiyan he was born to be, the peak of a saiyan warrior brought out for the whole planet to see. It reminded him of much simpler times, times that were far beyond that of the one he was witnessing now, though it would all be over soon. The only obstacle in his way at this point, was would it be completed alone with two downed apes, or would it be completed as a team? He'd brace to fight, knowing he'd get his answer soon enough, maybe this night would turn out to be fun.

Quash roared in frustration as the building he threw sailed past its intended target, but at least he ki blast hit. It looked like it didn't do much however, as Jorey was back at it again. He could almost feel the ground becoming lighter momentarily as his opponent jumped into the air. As he prepared another attack to connect with Jorey's he heard a... third roar? Distracted, he missed his chance to dodge the attack. Feeling a huge force strike his dome, the ape fell over with a loud thud. He had a headache and felt a little dazed but was still very much in fighting shape.
While normally Quash would've immediately gotten up and went for another round, the new arrival of the third ape had his attention. It was very strong, stronger than both him and Jorey. In his right mind, Quash would've had no problem challenging Athren AND Jorey at the same time. However, he wasn't home right now. The ape knew that this one was stronger than him and he knew a leader when he saw one. He saw him giving motions that were particularly specific. It was clear that Athren's IQ was a few points higher than theirs at this point in time. His gestures suggested that he was in charge now, which Great Ape Quash was surprisingly able to accept.
He approached his newly established leader, not particularly watching out for the buildings that surrounded them. This included the USD base that Athren was near. With each step, he knocked over various office buildings, homes, and stepped on the forces of the USD soldiers that were still somehow trying to give it their best shot. He stopped in front of Athren, lowering his head as a sign of submission. Even in his current state, he could practically feel the power radiating off of him. It registered in Quash's mind that whatever was going to happen next depended on this new guy.

Jorey was just getting started. This battle between him and the other Oozaru felt as if it was just beginning, and their battlefield was a city that was completely at the mercy of the two Great Apes. Even though he wasn't conscious of it, Jorey was going through a power trip. He loved the feeling of being in charge, in deciding one's fate. It was addicting. He and this other Oozaru had all the power in the world when it came to deciding whether or not this city lived another day, or not. While it wasn't his concern whether or not the city lived, it was nonetheless a rush. All of Jorey's attacks landed on his opponent, but he wasn't going to let up and get cocky like he had been. No, this was different. Jorey immediately fixed himself up and squared up, getting ready to defend if need be. Unfortunately, things were cut short for the two Oozaru's battle. Suddenly, another Oozaru came out of nowhere. Who was this Saiyan, attempting to challenge Jorey, while this other one was doing the same? It mattered not. Jorey was more than fine with taking on both of them, but this time it felt different. This other Oozaru wasn't paying much attention to the other Saiyans much, and was instead just going about destroying the city. Soon, the other Oozaru Jorey was fighting followed suit, and began walking to the other Saiyan, while destroying buildings in its path. Nevertheless, Jorey stood there, stunned. Why in the hell was this other Great Ape just not paying attention to Jorey and his opponent? Why was Jorey's opponent suddenly apathetic towards the fight they were having and instead focused on destroying the city? It made no sense at all. Jorey could only deduce that this meant one thing. It was plainly obvious. This was no longer going to be a one-on-one. It couldn't be since a new challenger approached. Besides, boring old fights are just that: boring. This challenge they had now wasn't to see who was the last man standing. No, it was to see who could destroy more of their surroundings. That is how the victor and king of the battlefield would be decided. Jorey roared into the sky, accepting the challenge presented by the new Oozaru. Immediately, Jorey charged up a fierce Ki beam in his mouth, and let loose non-stop on his surroundings, taking out multiple very important looking buildings. This was a war, and Jorey was determined to win it.

Though Athren had lingered through the night and spectated the great apes due to him being hesitant about using his own ape form. It wasn't that he would be afraid of what he could do or the power it involved, and he wasn't worried about losing control of it, he was experienced with the form enough that it wasn't a risk, he had mastered it in the Oozaru wastelands. What he didn't want was the unnecessary attention that it could bring to him, it wouldn't be hard for those who knew him to identify him, there hadn't been any other apes that had the dark grey fur that matched his tail, it was a dead give away and honestly, he just wanted to avoid any heat he'd be bringing to his faction, his friends and most of all, his kids. All he knew was that he needed to push this attack in the direction it needed to go for the appropriate outcome to come, he needed the base gone and at this point the city would fall too, with the arrival of three great apes, the blame would most likely get pinned on the saiyan's, especially given that Captain Quash would be tied to it. The heat from him may shift, the saiyan race as a whole, however, very well may pay the price but the way the planet had fallen, the way that their ruler had failed to provide the best decisions for their people, maybe it wasn't such a bad thing, maybe, just maybe.. the Saiyan's deserved to have a little heat thrown their way for not standing up for themselves.
Though he was hesitant to do so, when he finally transformed due to the lack of direct action brought on by the other two Oozaru's, he was caught with quite a relief. He wasn't afraid to fight either of them, after all, he did have the huge advantage of being able to think for himself. He would easily be able to control and counter his opponents and use their brutal strengths against them but it didn't come to that. It had seemed that the both of them had fallen straight into line with him, they observed that he was a different breed, that he was the Alpha, the boss of the group. The one they wouldn't take down with brute force.
Athren took a moment to observe as the both of them had dismissed their little conflict to address who was the alpha and began stomping around the city and firing their attacks everywhere, the destruction continued as more of the city had begun to fall and crumble. Jorey had immediately started firing mouth blasts all over, the destruction he brought was quite devastating, Quash on the other hand had approached Athren before taking out his own building. When Athren was sure that the apes had been aligned with him, at least for now he knew what his next move was. Athren wasn't here to waste time or let the clock run out on the night, in fact, he didn't want to be here longer than he had to. Even if he was confined to this transformation for a period of time. He could at least destroy the city and relocate to a different area, transform back into his normal state and then move along to leave the planet.
It was at this point that Athren slowly began to fly up into the sky, getting high enough to see the city in it's entirety. There had still been sections of the city that had been untouched, places that the horrific events of the night had completely missed, but for the most part, the city was badly damaged and ruined and the chaos had spread. Whether it had been Ki blasts or falling buildings, the city would never be like it was before.
Athren's right hand would move inched from his body as an orange glowing orb of Ki would begin to form in his hand, he was going for his Nova Cannon technique, though he would damn well make sure it would have enough force behind it to end this whole thing in a single blow, he wanted it to be over, he wanted it to end, he wanted to call it quits and just retire with his kids. He was so close, it was almost done and the payment would be on the way and everybody that he grew to care about within his faction would be taken care of, most likely for the rest of their lives with the amount of money he signed off on. Athren wouldn't launch his technique immediately, he'd start to charge it as he hovered in the air. He was going to make sure that this one-shot would finish it all off for good, that it would close this chapter in his life and push him forward.
The price he was about to pay for his future was something else entirely, though he had hurt innocent people before under contract, he had never done it to this extent, he had never wiped out a city of those who did him no harm but that was the nature of his line of work, he was a mercenary, he would do whatever job so long as the price was right and in this case, it was worth it to him. It might've been the wrong decision but he put those closest to him, those he would provide for first, he put them before the strangers of all the men, women and children that would lose their life tonight. This was the end all be all, to raising his two kids away from it all, he'd find a nice little peaceful planet to settle on, one in the far reaches of the galaxy where nobody could find them, where nobody would dare to look. His dreams were hours away, it would take one shot and it would be right there, within his grasp.

After seeing Athren fly up into the air and charge an attack directed at the city, as well as Jorey attacking the buildings that surrounded them, he decided to follow suit. Monkey see, monkey do! He followed his new leader, flying up into the air and stopping next to him. He fired one ki blast at the city before beginning to charge his own attack. He didn't really know what the point of all of this was, but the alpha wanted to do it, he would. After all, Athren is the strongest one around.
A ki ball formed between his teeth and slowly began to get bigger the more he focused on it. Great Ape Quash was practically a different person, if you could even call him that, entirely. Because of that, he couldn't remember any of his actual techniques such as the Savoy Sword or the Lima Laser, so he was limited to the very basic maneuver of gathering some general, arbitrary amount of energy and just blasting it at something. From the way the alpha was acting, it looked like he just wanted to finish it all in one single blow. Quash would ensure that he'd get his wish.

The destruction that the Oozarus were going to cause didn't last for long. As Jorey fired off Ki blasts from his mouth in a constant stream to destroy the surroundings, he noticed that the other two Saiyans had something else in mind entirely. They leapt into the air, hovering, and started to charge some attacks in their mouths. They were trying to steal Jorey's thunder entirely! How could they? Why would they team up to try and assert both of themselves as the leader? Or, maybe, it wasn't that they were trying to help each other be the alpha at the same time? Maybe one of them was trying to help the other become the alpha? That's cheating! Why the hell would they even think of that? Jorey was furious, nonetheless. If this kept up, he wouldn't take his place as the true alpha. In light of that, something had to be done, a countermeasure of some sorts had to take place, and Jorey knew exactly what he would do. Jorey began charging a Ki blast in his mouth, but this time, it was a reddish-purple one. Jorey's Halo Buster, which he usually uses in his humanoid forms, was now channeled into his mouth as a Great Ape beam. Of course, this was Jorey's best option at using a technique in his Great Ape form, considering he quite obviously didn't have any control over it. Unlike the other two Great Apes, Jorey didn't start hovering in the air. He simply kept looking down at the ground below him, charging his Ki attack in his mouth. He wasn't going to let himself get completely outdone by these two cheaters. He wouldn't let that slide, not one bit. Once he was done charging it, Jorey would execute his attack and jump in the air to avoid any damage to himself. It was only a matter of a short amount of time.

"Isn't this perfect." Athren said aloud as he watched the other apes follow suit, it had seemed that they had taken inspiration from him in preparing some of their most deadly attacks, in this case for them It was their mouth blasts but hell, it was the best they could put out at this time. Of course, it would have been beneficial if both the fighters could control the minds of the beast but that would only be if they were actually on his side, surely this would have gone another way if they were controlled. Athren figured he'd have to fight his way through the both of them but he couldn't help but imagine a situation with all of them controlled and on the same side against the USD, maybe he would have had a chance to convince Quash given the USD's involvement on Vegeta but Jorey? He probably wouldn't have been invested in this enough to care, he'd probably want nothing to do with such an attack and that was pretty damn reasonable.
Regardless of all their viewpoints, Athren had been pretty grateful he managed to pull this whole thing off and get them both there at the same time. Whether or not he could have done this by himself wasn't really relevant, under the light of the full moon anything would have been possible to a saiyan. Surely, this job would have been a lot cleaner with a lot less collateral damage, the city wouldn't have fallen, and thousands of lives wouldn't have been ended in what seemed like a blink of an eye. It would have been a lot cleaner though the outlook on the overall attack would have shifted. With three great apes being responsible, it did look like more of a saiyan thing instead of an individual thing, Athren felt as if the attack wouldn't be traced right back to him, he felt as he'd be left off the hook for now and could easily dismiss it, if it had ever caught up to him. The planet might dislike the saiyan's from this point on but that was the best outcome he could ask for, especially when his own life involved his kids.
Given that this whole thing was nearing an end, Athren wanted to make sure he was doing it right and that'd he'd finish it off with one giant finale of an attack, his Nova Cannon was prepared and ready to go, though he wanted to add more energy to it. He wanted it to clear the entire area of everything. Part of this was to make sure that there hadn't been any eyes on him specifically when he transformed, he didn't need any witnesses, anybody giving the authorities a description of what he looked like. Throughout the night, most eyes had been on the apes, but he didn't want to risk the chance of somebody's eyes being on him and for that, the entire city had to go, everybody would have to go. It wasn't the outcome he originally wanted but it was the outcome he needed to stick with, the one he felt was best for his narrative, for his life and he'd protect that at any cost.
Athren wasn't going to launch his technique yet, he was pumping more and more of his energy into it to make sure that this one strike would trash absolutely everything around him. No witnesses, no buildings, nothing would be left standing. That was his intent. The other apes were helping with him too, trashing everything with their own attacks, almost as if they were softening the entire place up for his finishing blow to the city.
It had been a strange thought, thinking that this city that was full of life just a few hours ago would be silenced in the blink of an eye, that all those that weren't lucky enough to escape it would be deceased in a matter of moments. The electricity would no longer power anything, there would be no lights, no sound, nothing to show any signs of life here after they were done and left. It would be nothing but ruins, crumbled bits of leftover buildings and a creator from the site of impact. The base would be no more, the city would be no more. It would be a very tragic end for all those in the area, but it needed to be done. This needed to be finished.
Athren had taken his time preparing his attack, he continued to charge more energy into it by the second. The actual Ki ball in his hand barely growing in size but growing greatly in power. Surely it's impact against the surface of the Earth would be devastating, surely it would be felt and seen for miles and miles away. Maybe he was going a little overkill to ensure this one attack would finish it all, but he wanted it to be done. It was so close, he visualized it in his head, him and his children leaving everything behind to start their new life, it was mere hours away. It wasn't like a saiyan to be so invested in his children but Athren always thought it was his demon side that granted him that gift, he couldn't imagine life would be like without the care he had for his daughter, surely she'd be happy to have him around more, to spend time with him more and to adventure a brand new planet together, a planet that the trio would call home and honestly, after thinking about it for so much more time, the whole idea grew on Athren even more. It wasn't just about the retirement, it was about spending the time with his kids, raising them and actually being a decent father. The start of that was hours away, right there within reach. Just one more attack, just one more trip back to the ship and it'd all be his forever. He couldn't fucking wait.

Great Ape Quash readied himself to fire his own attack at the city before Athren, trying to make sure that his leader could have the honors of finishing the job. He let out a loud roar as he unleashed his devastating attack, a beam of energy cutting through the atmosphere and striking the city. The energy at first was concentrated at the center of the USD base, but then began to rapidly expand into a large explosion that took out a massive chunk of the city. Even as a mindless ape, he could feel the energies of hundreds of people who were risking their lives to defend the civilians suddenly vanish into nothing. The screams of the soldiers and civilians who were contained within the explosion could be heard even from miles away. Those who were in the city but a safe distance away would hear what sounded like a thousand spirits calling out to them as a result.
As he finished up his part in destroying the city, he couldn't but feel a sense of dread and worry. He couldn't tell where it was coming from or why he felt this way. It was almost as if something deep within him, maybe in his subconscious, knew that something had happened that could not be undone. Surely Planet Vegeta would face backlash for what happened here on Earth and, though he wouldn't know it yet, Quash would have to be ready for what the future held for not just him, but for his race as a whole.
Smoke left the ape's mouth as the heat from his energy attack began to fade, and it began to lower itself to ground, managing to shake off the negative emotions that had taken him over merely moments ago. Now, pride and victory had taken hold instead. It raised his arms and danced as it waited for the alpha to finish what he and Jorey had started. They showed their dominance, and now it was clean up duty. It pounded its chest and made grunts that sounded like chanting. The ape waited in anticipation, hoping that he'd get to see an impressive display of the alpha's power.

Jorey could feel the power welling up inside him, channeling it to his mouth, as he prepared to unleash it all over the poor, unfortunate, defenseless city. Power trips like these were what made being extremely powerful great. You decide the flow of battle, you decide the fate of everyone, and if Jorey so cared to, he could let every single one of these people go, having them be at his mercy in the future. Of course, he had no intention of actually calling off his attack. He was going to win this competition to see which one was the dominant ape, and he wouldn't rest until he was on top. That was the nature he had as an Oozaru. Maybe it was a reflection to his desires and tendencies in his humanoid form, or maybe it was the complete antithesis of his true self. Only time will tell, once he leaves his Great Ape form, and spends time reflecting on this situation. On the subject of this situation, Jorey will definitely be confused and oblivious to what happened this night. The most prominent memory of the night would probably be him turning into a Great Ape in the first place, due to Athren duping him into looking at the moon. Otherwise, he'll have no idea that he destroyed a whole city, until he hears of it from somewhere, somehow. To the Oozaru form of Jorey, there was nothing that mattered more than the battle and challenge in front of him. The Earthlings stood no chance against the three Saiyans, but he wanted to make it that the humans couldn't stand a chance against himself. He wanted to be at the top, to satisfy his innate Saiyan desire. With his attack charging up to almost full power, he was feeling excitement course through his veins. Just then, he saw one of the other Great Apes lowering themself towards the ground. Jorey was very confused as to what this Saiyan was doing. Then, out of nowhere, his enemy just unleashed his attack onto the ground. Jorey didn't expect this. Why would they just randomly set off their attack so quickly? Did they already finish charging their attack? That couldn't be! Jorey already started charging his when they started charging theirs. What's going on? Regardless, it didn't look like they were holding back anymore. This was the attack to determine who was at the top of this chain. Before his opponent's attack touched the ground, Jorey leapt in the air, backing up a bit, and while he was in midair let out his Halo Buster (as a Great Ape beam). Jorey melted away a huge amount of the town around him, singing away many different buildings, people, vehicles, and the like. He maintained altitude while he finished off his blast, and once it was over, he landed and assessed the damage. It was evident Jorey did more damage to their surroundings. He smirked and looked at his opposition, who wasn't even paying attention to him. What, he's a sore loser that doesn't want to acknowledge Jorey as the king of this battlefield? No, that wasn't it. Jorey followed his opponent's gaze into the air and saw that the other newcomer was still charging his attack. Immediately, Jorey became furious. That other ape tricked him! He tricked Jorey into setting off his attack so the other Oozaru can keep on charging! That's not fair. What kind of warriors are these people? How could they do something like this? That didn't matter now. What's done is done. Jorey could just start charging up another attack, right? No, probably not. He most likely wouldn't be able to charge it up in time. As infuriating as it was, Jorey had to just watch to see how much damage his last competitor could do.

It was truly something else watching the other two Oozaru's charged up and unleash their attacks against the city, they were clearly taking an example from the Alpha of the group and trying to cause as much damage as possible. Their attacks had torn through the city leaving massive devastation and destruction everywhere their mouth beams had touched, buildings had fallen or been obliterated, and those who had been caught up in the blast were immediately vaporized from the sheer power of it all. An Earthling's power just wasn't enough to resist it, there was nothing that could be done for them, nobody was able to defend themselves against such power and the hardest hit hadn't even come yet. It was bluntly obvious that the city wasn't going to stand for much longer, between the blasts and the fires that had lit up all over, it was doomed. The screams of the people had been getting quieter and quieter as the individuals making the sounds had started to die off like ants being stepped on.
As the eyes of the mighty apes watched Athren as he continued to prepare his attack, though he wasn't going to charge it for much longer as there really wasn't much of a need to with the current shape that the city was in, it was completely trashed as it was. Really the only thing left to do was to finish it off, but Athren's main target was going to be the USD base, that place was going to take the brunt of the attack, it was the main target. Everything else that got destroyed would simply be collateral damage.
Being now or never Athren swung his right hand downwards as he tossed the ball of energy that was floating above his palm, his Nova Cannon unleashed as it descended down upon the Earth at rapid speeds. Even though his attack was very quick, Athren didn't see it as such, from the second it had left his hand he watched as it fell towards the Earth, it was almost like everything else around him had froze, the thought of what this attack was actually going to do crossed his mind for all but a brief second, there wasn't any lingering regret, he had signed up for this and didn't have a choice but he didn't think fully about the aftermath of actually accepting this contract, at least the aftermath of everybody else it would affect. It was far too late now and he was okay with that, he had to look forwards towards his goals, his life that he was about to go off and live with his kids. Cress and Celric would be taken care of, Ukare, the rest of his faction. To him, this was a necessary means to an end and the cost was worth it. Athren's thoughts would quickly fade with an audio and visual cue, one that couldn't be ignored, one that would be too bright and loud to go unnoticed.
The loud explosion could be heard throughout the landscape echoing far and wide, while the explosion had lit up the night sky and illuminated the surrounding area. The explosion made contact in the center of the USD base and expanded outwards in a light show that could only be described as chaotic, there wasn't anything beautiful or elegant about it as it spread out and caused massive destruction to the city and engulfing it whole, the orange ki blast consumed everything in it's path, most buildings completely got erased, all signs of life that got caught up in it did, it was leaving nothing but destruction.
When the blast had finally reached it's full circumference and expanded as far as it could it had finally faded away into nothing and what was left was quite the sight to see. The city was now in a creator, the base was gone and there was nothing left but the remains of few buildings lying in the rubble. What was once there was now gone, the area was silent and dark, there was nothing left of the base or Orange city.
Athren had stayed floating there for a bit looking down, observing the aftermath of what he had just done. He wasn't having second thoughts about his action but he was thinking about the future, all he really needed to do now was wait out the night and get his ass on his spaceship and take off forever. He assumed that the rest of this night would feel like an eternity, he'd have to wait out the clock and wait for the full moon to go down and what options did he have left? Fly off into the mountains and wait it out? Sit here in the destruction he just caused and potentially gain even more attention?
He really wasn't sure how he was going to kill the time, but he knew he'd need to. In all honesty he wished he could just skip this step completely and get on the ship right now and leave forever, it wasn't very saiyan like but he was looking forward to his future with his kids, he just did everything in his power to provide them with a good life. Once that money came in from the PTO, there would never be a struggle again, he'd get whatever he wanted and needed to give them everything they needed to have the best life possible. All he had to do was wait out the clock and get to his ship, time was the only thing stopping him now, there wasn't anything else. He was eager, he couldn't wait, this moment had felt unreal, it was something he was building on forever, something that took so long to prepare for and now it was completely over, there was no more objectives, no more assignments, no more missions to carry out, just the end of the road to try and live a happy life, to try and be a good father.

Great Ape Quash cheered loudly at the sight of their leader finally destroying the city. The fireworks were impressive, more than he could ever do. It seemed like no one could stand against their might! Quash began to spend the rest of his time walking around what remained of Orange City for clean-up duty, looking for any remaining stragglers. Some, towards the outskirts of Athren's blast, were hanging on for dear life. They were so hurt they couldn't scream. They simply accepted that their fate was death, not even attempting to resist what the Ape would do to them. Who knew humans could taste so delicious!
Many hours later, before he knew it, the Great Ape began to shrink in size. Looking up, he saw the Sun beginning to come out. Time was up. The more the Great Ape shrunk, the more it began to regain its consciousness as Quash. By the time he had reached human size, Captain Quash was barely conscious. He didn't know exactly what happened, but he felt tired and injured. He got a glimpse of the city turned wasteland around him, vaguely remembering getting set up by Athren. Honestly, he was too tired to even be angry. All he did know was that he had to get to safety. Still feeling groggy, he weakly floated away from ruins of the city. He knew some form of Earth's people would arrive eventually. Whether they were rescue teams, police, whoever was left, Quash didn't want to be here when they did.

Jorey couldn't believe his eyes while he watched the orb of energy travel to the ground. As it got closer and closer, he got angrier and angrier. He didn't want to be known as the beta. No way in hell. What was going to happen to the city if that orb hit the ground? How much destruction would it cause? Is there any way Jorey could top it? All of his thoughts ceased as the ball hit the ground, making Jorey wince and shield himself from debris as it hit the ground. When he opened his eyes again, he could clearly see that the whole city was gone. There was absolutely nothing left. Just a crater in his wake. Stunned awe turned into confusion, confusion turned into sadness, and sadness turned into pure rage, all in a matter of seconds. Jorey roared at the top of his lungs, resounding his Great Ape voice through the night sky. He slammed his fist against the ground, multiple times, imprinting his hand into the ground, and even stomped his feet as well. When he was done throwing a tantrum, he looked to his first opponent, glaring daggers at him with his rage, and then his second opponent, and roared his anger out at them. Then, he simply powered up and flew away at top speeds, not wanting to be around them anymore. Jorey ended up in some wastelands, far away from the place of origin. Dinosaurs and other creatures were the only living beings that occupied this area, so Jorey would make this his home for the night. It wasn't as comfortable as a bed, but with what happened this night, the defeated lone wolf didn't want anything else other than this. He sat down against a sturdy mountain and began to rest. His mind could only think about what happened that night, and how he was cheated out of a sure victory. Before sadness could really take hold on the defeated Great Ape Jorey, he suddenly shot with conviction. He got the idea that if he were given the chance to compete against those Saiyans again, he would not lose. He banged on his chest and grunted in satisfaction and determination, finishing the gesture with his fists pumping in the air. He then let himself relax more and get the rest he needed for the night. As the moon faded for the night, so did the Great Ape, which slowly reverted himself back to a humanoid form. The metal armor Jorey was wearing began to glow red at the seems again, hissing and whirring as Jorey's body changed shape and size. Once Jorey was back to being himself again, the armor stopped hissing and whirring, and the creases no longer glowed red. It all settled in place, and Jorey continued to sleep. Jorey was eventually woken up by the sun, shining down on him, preventing him from sleeping anymore. He groaned, annoyed that he was finally woken, and then prostrated himself. "Okay, mom, I'm up. Chill."
Jorey sat up, scratching his head with his tail and looking around. In his grogginess, he assumed confusion instead of annoyance, as he had no idea where he was. "Where...in the space hell am I?"
With his eyes half open, he pressed against his scouter to see where his coordinates were. At least, that's what he would do with his scouter, if he had one. His hand fell on thin air, pressing against it as if expecting a reaction. When he noticed immediately that his scouter was missing, he cupped his hand around his ear, and his eyes opened completely wide. "Wait, where the hell is my-"
It was then that Jorey remembered some of the events from last night. He remembered Athren tricking him into looking at the moon. He uncapped his hand from his ear and resumed his annoyed state, his eyebrows narrowing and his mouth forming a grimace. "Dammit, Athren! What the hell was that for?"
Jorey stood up, and winced just a little bit. He was in pain, well, not that much, but it was still pain. Obviously, Jorey was in a battle last night, but what the hell for? What even happened? He knew he had to have transformed into a Great Ape if he doesn't remember some of the events from last night, but what exactly happened? Jorey was without his scouter, and without the black cloak he usually carries. Looking up into the air, Jorey decided he should investigate what happened, somehow. "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"

Though Athren had to do something he didn't initially want to do, which was taking the form of the mighty Oozaru, the events of the night had finally concluded and his mission had been completed. The cost to the Earth was far more than initially anticipated but that was now in the past, Athren couldn't fix the damage done to the Earth or change what had already happen. What was initially an attack to remove the USD base from the Earth had tumbled into the removal of a complete city and plenty of lives, though it wasn't ideal it was finished. All Athren had to do now was run out the clock and get back to his ship where he'd await payment while on the move, where he'd head to a planet off in the universe that him and his kids could live peacefully, a place where nobody would bother to look.
Before Athren would wander off to wait out the clock, he hovered in the air for a little longer looking at what he now deemed as Orange City ruins, there was nothing left, no building worthy of calling a work place or a home, no open field to call a park, no trees to provide oxygen, it was all just barren and gone. The silence was almost eerie and the light pollution was no longer, he could actually look up and see the all the stars in the sky brightly, maybe for Earth itself this wasn't just a bad thing but for the population, it was the worst.
Without even acknowledging what the other two Oozaru's were up too, Athren simply flew off into the distance. He'd find a nice play full of mountain cover to sit around in his ape form until the moon was gone, his thoughts were on his kids and getting back to them, getting off this planet and living out his plans, and it seemed as if it couldn't quite come fast enough. He idled around for hours until his transformation had worn off.
The change happened just as quickly as it did when he transformed into the mighty Oozaru but only this time his size and power reduced, his fur vanished and he got his base composure back. His saiyan clothing had been a little stretched but that was the extend of damage done to him the entire night. He was rather surprised that no hero had decided to show up to try and save the city, nobody came in efforts to try to save lives, it was just the USD themselves that attempted to put up a fight but that wasn't even near enough, no matter what they tossed at the mighty apes, it wasn't enough to even scratch their skin. It was a hopeless fight for the Earthlings from the start. It was the early morning and the sun had started to light up the horizon, the air was rather cool yet calm. It was almost surreal how different this morning was from the night prior, there was no devastation or chaos, no absolute destruction. It was peaceful, calm and quiet. Athren had picked a really nice spot, he had just been one with nature. There was nothing around him except for trees and mountains, not a single soul in sight besides him. He actually rather liked it, he almost enjoyed the area and the contrast to the events that had just transpired.
Finally, the time had come to go back to the ship. He had hoped his allies had enough time to get ready and pack up everything, he wanted to leave as soon as he had got there and if they didn't, he'd rush and help them pack up whatever was left. He had lifted himself off the ground and was about to head back that way but something had caught his attention, something that wasn't good. It was coming from the camp, he had felt the fighters among his group raise their power levels, including Ukare. He had also sensed an unfamiliar power level raise up that would surpass all of them by far. It was in that instant that Athren flared up his aura and blasted off towards the ship and what may have been remaining of the camp.
He didn't know what was going on at the camp but it obviously wasn't good, it would seem as there was a danger there that the fighters in the faction were trying to face, one that had been powerful and strong but why? Did somebody already link the attack to his faction or was it something else completely? He really didn't need to think about the specifics of it all, all that he knew was that there was a handful of fighters standing between whomever it was that was there and his children and his kids were the most important thing on his mind right now.
Athren needed to hurry, he needed to get there as soon as possible. Whatever was there, whoever was there, he needed to keep them away from his kids. With the power level he felt coming from the unknown individual, he knew that Ukare and the rest of the faction couldn't handle it. It had seemed as if time was once again ticking and this time he was racing against it into the unknown. Whether or not he'd make it there in time was a different story but he knew he needed to be prepared, he knew he had to be ready for anything. He'd throw his life at this threat if he had too, just to give his kids a little time to run away. He felt his heart racing, he was actually finding himself in quite the panic. The one thing he wasn't willing to lose was hid kids, he'd give everything else up time and time again but lose them? He couldn't even bare the thought of it, he couldn't. He needed them, they were what kept him whole.
