The wide eyed boy from the forest and the Liek of today where like night and day in how different they where, so much was the same and yet, at the same time, there where significant differences. At the start he’d just been a lone boy in a wide world with nothing but a promise tying him to anything and everything else in existence. Now, merely a few months later, the boy was a Divinely appointed Emperor of a tiny Empire, home to more refugees then those sworn to be his subjects, with their lives and well being his responsibility to guide and protect. He was new to the proverbial crown and yet it was already heavy.
But at least he wasn’t alone anymore. Opherla had chosen that her place would be at his side, easing the weight. They hadn’t discussed or planned exactly how she would do it yet but he had complete faith she would be indispensable. Just as she was being now, this fight was helping Liek’s mind relax more then he’d ever managed even before being placed under Liari’s control. This fight was almost like a form of mediation for the boy.
Even as he weaved through her Orgone Crystal’s first wave, even as he formed another set of crystals of his own to counter hers again, his mind freely considered things other then just the fight, such was how freeing and liberating this clash was. Once again he slipped back into Ran-Fa as Opherla’s high speed blurred her into appearing to occupy three spaces at once, his body moving fluidly as he defended himself, his arms and legs flowing from one of her moves to the next, deflecting them and moving his body out of the way of others. Every now and then he spotted an opening and took it, capitalising on the opportunities with a swift kick or punch to the exposed area.
As he fought he continued to consider the future. His Empire needed more people if it was to thrive. The Fury where gone, and he doubted wishing them back was a wise course of action, he didn’t want to accidentally bring back Ga-Ravan or his sympathisers. The people of Earth he didn’t have a high opinion of, so for now those that where already on board the Gau-La-Furia would be the limit, aside from perhaps Ayu? If she could come back like he knew others, and she didn’t wish to remain a Guardian Candidate, had he’d offer her a place. He had a feeling she would enjoy being in charge of agriculture and conservation, given her affiliation with plants. If she joined the Terrariums would be her domain.
Between his musings Liek suddenly went on the attack, countering one of Opherla’s punches with an equally as quick shift in his weight, placing his shoulder against the inside of hers while grabbing her arm and twisting his whole body while thrusting his hips back. The whole motion was intended to throw her off balancing and launch her towards the ground, which Liek quickly followed up with a series of small ki blasts. He then warped behind her and shouted to draw her attention while throwing something at her (which she would discover was a pillow that would burst into a cloud of feathers is she hit it hard enough) as a distraction before warping again firing a ki blast at her side.

Opherla couldn't help but feel as if the situation was being beautifully woven into a wonderful artistic piece. A beautiful tapestry being sewn together with each traded punch and kick, each fired ki blast and Orgone Crystal that collided into each other, every bead of sweat, every look of admiration and intense passion. Opherla felt her and Liek's stories coming clearer and clearer to one another with each and every blow. Even the pillow as a distraction, which Opherla happily struck just to make the fight good as she laughed, deflecting the ki blast from Liek as Opherla and Liek would clash again, as Opherla felt herself peering into Liek's mind from how connected they were...
As her real self battled, Opherla found herself in the forest Liek grew up in, the sights around her bright and vibrant, as Opherla would soon look upon an even younger Liek and his grandmother, as she watched from afar, crouching down and watching the younger Liek listen to his grandmother's tales, as Opherla smiled sweetly, giggling at the younger Liek's reactions to his grandmother's stories, as Opherla looked at the scene longingly, wishing she had more than just an adopted family, but had a true family she knew about.
Then Opherla saw the moments she didn't see in her absence from Liek... including the first one, the most impactful one, the one which defined Liek's hatred burning deeply for him. Opherla watched as Callion tried to bring out Liek's Super Saiyan form, as he pushed and pushed Liek, and even threatened to kill his grandmother while she was dead, completely banishing her from the world! That must have been what caused Liek's demon to come out. Opherla never felt more betrayed in her entire life. Callion, a man who had taken her on a date, a man who had taught her to be strong without these methods, a kind monk who wanted the best for the people of earth, had stepped across a line Opherla believed should NEVER be crossed. Callion... just what brought him to stoop so low? Arctic? Was it the threat of Arctic that brought this on all of a sudden!? Opherla didn't know for sure. All she did know was she couldn't trust Callion at all. Not anymore. That breach of trust was something Callion would have to work a long time to rebuild. And Opherla didn't know if she could even look at Callion the same way again.
Then things changed to the perspective of Liek when his demon took control, and Opherla fought back to save him. That was a moment Opherla would never forget as long as she lived, but seeing it from the perspective of the trapped Liek, that was a brand new take on it. The horror he felt, the desperation of trying to regain control, the strive to try and break free so he didn't hurt Opherla, feeling all those emotions, Opherla felt she understood Liek even further now, truly understanding just how much he truly cared for her, especially after this day, as Opherla couldn't help but feel so much closer to Liek because of the fact she was able to peer into Liek's deepest memories due to sheer connection alone.
In the fight, Opherla would soon leap back from Liek after another heated clash with him, as she smiled widely, loving the fight despite all the mental tracks her brain was taking her on, as she soon began firing off her Wolffire Raze at Liek, as Orgone Crystals joined the ki blasts that she fired out in the spread, with some blasts aimed at Liek and others aimed to go around him, as Opherla would soon dash towards Liek after firing off all the blasts of energy and Orgone Crystals, as she aimed to punch and kick him rapidly a moment, before attempting to slash through him, as the moment she slashed through him, the ki blasts surrounding him would suddenly collapse on him, causing a crystalline explosion of dust as Opherla was still on guard, fully expecting Liek to keep battling after that assault, as she smiled the entire time. She never wanted this fight to end! She wanted this fight to last for as long as possible, possibly eternity if she could make it happen!

Something Liek had been considering for bolstering the numbers of the Fury had been inspired by the refugees he’d taken in the Gau-la-Furia. Cauri hadn’t been the only one of the Saiyans to come to him to learn, what had made the girl unique was that she was the first to seek more then just strength. She’d been willing to renounce her Saiyanhood and become a Fury right from the start if it meant being more then a punching bag for other Saiyan children. When the other refugees had heard that Liek accepted there was a split in reactions, the traditionalists scoffed, dismissing her as too weak to be a Saiyan. The rest accepted her actions in one way or another, though they where divided on how they accepted. Many wanted Liek, as a Super Saiyan, to challenge Salada for the throne and become King. They argued that instead of being an Emperor without an Empire he could at least rule the Saiyans. The rest? They approached Liek and asked if he was willing to let them become Fury as well.
It had given Liek an idea, what if there where other Saiyans among those that would be revived with Planet Vegeta that thought as those who had asked to become Fury? He knew Zaks hadn’t been without supporters and those same supporters wouldn’t approve of Salada’s rule. Such dissenters would undoubtedly destabilise her rule in time, but most of the pro-Zaks Saiyans that had already asked to join him where the peaceful ones that didn’t fit into regular Saiyan society, or warrior types who hated the idea of killing for sport. He knew most wouldn’t join him, but many who where sick of the ‘bloodthirsty savage’ label would.
Perhaps he could do the same with other races?
He turned his attention fully back to the fight in time to see the Wolffire Raze being thrown at him. The combination of Fury Deflect and his mastery of Flight helped him weather most of the onslaught of punches and kicks, although many got through until the slash, which he barely mitigated to a glancing blow, Opherla’s claws slashing through his clothes and opening small wounds on his chest. Nothing a dip the healing chamber wouldn’t fix later. The barrage could have been handled in one of two ways, warping or what he decided to go with; tanking them. How? He surged his energy into his Energy Cloud, rapidly increasing it’s density and forcing the ki blasts to waste their power trying to burn through it.
Before the smoke had even had time to clear Liek rocketed out towards Opherla as if using his Fury Crash technique only to warp just short of reaching her, appearing to her side with a grunt of, “Materialisation!” As a massive sword of Orgone, with a noticeably blunted edge, formed in his hand which he swung in a rapid combination at Opherla with surprising speed for the weapons size in a display of Lyran-Shun.

Opherla couldn't help but wonder about the Saiyan refugees on the ship herself during the battle. She hadn't even had the chance to meet them yet, and hoped to do such a thing very soon so she could get to know them better since they were technically a part of the Empire now. Opherla wondered if Zaks would have considered being part of their Empire had she not been Queen of the Saiyan Empire. Well, those things could only be pondered now. Because for Opherla's knowledge, no one could come back from being dead unless they were wished back. She didn't know that after a month's time, they could come back into the realm of the living after their first death. Regardless of that, there were more important matters in front of Opherla, namely the fight with Liek, as Opherla was grinning wildly, eager to keep this match going despite the licks she and Liek were both taking!
Liek would summon his sword to attack, as Opherla would smile widely upon seeing it. Using her nimbleness, the Lycan Saiyan was able to dodge some blows though Liek's speed was catching her off guard somewhat with the attacks as she was forced to take some licks from the sword, before she would grin as Liek would swing at her again, only for Opherla to catch the sword with her bare hands, her hands flattened out to avoid more cuts as Opherla giggled.
"Naughty Liek, if you wanted me to undress you should have just asked." Opherla would begin the teasing that came with a loving couple. And her outfit had taken some damage so it was a perfect opportunity to try and get into Liek's head with the playful teasing. Whether or not it would work would be another story however ss regardless of if it did or didn't, Opherla would promptly take the sword from Liek's hand and kick him to send him into a nearby wall, before chucking his own sword back at him while she prepared to pelt him with Orgone Crystals and ki blasts!

The people of Namek were another route to consider. The boy knew next to nothing of the green people, but he did recall that the current Guardian of Earth was a member of the species. If they were as good-hearted as Dende was then chances were that many would fit in well as Fury. And if they had a warrior caste as well, all the better as he felt sure they would take well to the Fury arts. Thinking of the Namekians got the boy thinking of the other species out there in the universe.
Had any others lost their homes as the Namekians and Saiyans had? Were there any others lost and directionless, dispersed in a forced diaspora that could force their bloodlines to thin and go extinct? Would they, if he made the offer, come to his banner if they knew it could mean the survival of their species, at least for a time? But there was also the possibility of peoples of compatible species interbreeding. Would that result in a new species emerging? Would a melting pot of genetic material eventually amalgamate into a new Fury species?
Somehow, given that himself and Opherla would be contributing to the melting pot, it seemed likely that Saiyan genetics would be a major part of any future Fury species. Doubly so given that there where at least two Saiyan women who wanted to also bear Liek’s children, assuming Opherla allowed it. Liek wasn’t really sure what he felt about that. He knew Basireous was keen on the idea, but she was a Goddess of Life, any act that brought more life into the world was up her alley. An immature part of himself loved the idea, but the more mature side was less keen, seeing it as a possible betrayal of Opherla.
And he, personally, was not nearly brave enough to ask.
Basireous on the other hand...
Back with the fight the boy grinned as his fiance adapted to his shift in style. He hadn’t really used Lyran-Shun against Opherla before so seeing her keep up with the unfamiliar style was very gratifying to the Fury Emperor. Still he did manage to get some hits in, which was good, because a part of him was worried he’d gotten so rusty with Lyran-Shun that it would be trivial for her to avoid his attacks. It was good to know he wasn’t that far gone. Eventually she stopped the blade by catching it with her hands, which Liek noted he’d have to remind her to be careful about doing. As cool as it was, it was also exceedingly dangerous; if the Orgone Greatsword wasn’t so large with a wide blade, and was instead a smaller weapon like a katana, she very likely may have just lost part of her hand. Or in a real fight, a limb or even her life.
Her words certainly had an effect of the process of thought running through his head as every ground to a halt as the silhouette of Opherla, devoid of clothing, and all that entailed, danced and sparred through his brain. The effect was that he basically shut down for a moment and needed to reboot, giving Opherla the opening she needed to kick him into the wall.
As the impact brought him back to his senses, he was annoyed, both at the trick and at himself for wanting to do that some time. Picking himself up he complained, “That was just dirty...” and unFury-like, but he wasn’t holding her to that standard. It wouldn’t have been fair since she hadn’t delved into the culture and code of the Fury yet.
Picking up his sword in on hand he fixed his gaze and materialised a second in his other hand before charging forward, his aura flaring around him as he literally cut a path through the Orgone crystals and ki blasts, intending to renew his melee assault on Opherla.

Opherla's thoughts of the future were on a bit different track than Liek's. She did truly want to expand the Empire like Liek wanted to, sure, but she also wanted to focus on the future of them, her and Liek, eventual husband and wife, and what that would look like for them. Opherla was fully unaware of the fact Basireous was wanting Liek to have several consorts. The thought of multiple women being available to Liek never crossed Opherla's mind really, and it still didn't as she focused on what the two of them would do as an engaged couple until their marriage. Of course her mind drifted to that even after she told Liek she didn't want to focus on those plans. Still, it couldn't hurt to think about them. After everything with Arctic was said and done, Opherla really wanted to take Liek on a honeymoon. She couldn't think of any better place than the tropical islands they were at now. Private, remote, not a popular tourist spot, all things that Opherla wanted for their honeymoon destination. Of course her mind also thought forward to their future generations....
And it all surfaced again. The dream that had been replaying in her mind every single night she had been with Liek, Opherla tending to many children, while Liek commanded the Gau-la-Furia and still made time for his family, often coming to their "house" that was inside the ship, as the area had been made large enough to accompany such a large family, as Opherla couldn't help but feel warm inside seeing this memory once again, as it filled her with excitement and joy about what the guture held for them, and about how large of a next generation they would make. Opherla didn't know about how to go making her and Liek immortal... but that planning would come later, if there was a plan for that at all.
Back in the fight, Opherla chuckled a bit as she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly after Liek made his comment, as Opherla couldn't help but admit Liek was right. That was a dirty move from her, no matter how one might slice it, as she sighed, knowing what she had done and how it wasn't really behavior befitting that of the Holy Fury Empire.
"Sorry, Liek. I just couldn't help but tease you a little bit." Opherla remarked with a sheepish laugh, continuing to rub the back of her head. "It's just so funny to me watching you react the way you do to my teasing." Opherla giggled as she shook her head. "I'm sorry Liek. I won't do it again." Opherla apologized to her fiancée as she refocused on their fight, which now saw her fighting a dual wielding Liek, as she would nimbly dodge and evade the blades as she went purely on the defensive to try and create some distance from Liek, but he didn't give her much of an opportunity as she nimbly duck and dodged sword swings to try and get away, before finally deciding to play her own trick on Liek and suddenly poofing, as Liek would slash, and send stuffing from a plushy flying everywhere!
Using the opportunity, Opherla would dash at Liek from behind as she had the stance of a proper wolf before she rapidly began striking Liek with a move though to be lost in time along with its original fighter, now reborn thanks to Master Roshi's knowledge and Opherla's ingenuity. "WOLF FANF FIST!" Opherla yelled, soon smashing Liek with the fierce double clawed palm strike finisher.

While it wasn’t something Liek had been considering in this moment, the matter of having children was something that had crossed the boy’s mind on more then a few occasions. Just like the first time the idea had occurred to him, he couldn’t help but imagine filling the Gau-la-Furia tiny people who shared combinations of his own features and those of Opherla. A veritable army of little Fury powerhouses who would lead the Empire into a new age of prosperity. At first though, the idea of them doing it for an Empire hadn’t even been something Liek had even thought of. Back then it had merely been to ensure the history and ways of the Fury survived another generation.
It was good the two where not discussing the topic because Liek would have been no help at the moment, merely discussing the matter of children would have sent the boy’s mind towards how and where children come from, and his poor innocent mind was not ready for that. Worse still would have been the matter of names; he hadn’t had the courage to consider those even in the privacy of his own mind. Though, a part of him did want to reintroduce Fury naming conventions, maybe even add a dash of Saiyan influence, given how both where half-Saiyan?
With the battle the boy grunted as he saw the plushy appear and explode in a burst of fluff as one of his blunted swords tore through it. He had several questions about this technique of Opherla’s that he’d never really had the time to ask. The first being, how did she even come up with a technique like that? Did she do some sneaky ninja training on the side or something? And where did these plushies come from anyway? Was she gradually burning through a stockpile of plushies every time she used it? And if so, how much zenny was she burning through because of that technique.
His questions served to distract him long enough for Opherla to land a direct hit with her Wolf Fang Fist, shredding what was left of his shirt and jacket and sending the boy flying back. Grunting as he was sent flying he released the grip on his swords, making them detonate as he was thrown clear before flipping through the air with one hand held out towards Opherla.
It was time to mess with her a bit, it was only fair to return the favour.
And so he did.
One good plushy deserves another.
So he conjured one into existence and threw it at Opherla. His plushy, though? It was a 1 to 1 scale plushy of a blue whale!

Opherla's mind would get pulled on multiple different tracks in the span of the past few moments from the battle with Liek. The first was the exploding swords that blasted off her jacket, as it fell to the floor in shambles. Opherla felt the rest of her body, surprised that nothing else got blown clean off. Which was probably for the best so Liek could focus on battling instead of focusing on Opherla's bare body. But for now, that crisis was fully averted. Opherla figured it might be in their best interest to get their hands on some new clothes that wouldn't rip and shred so easily when they were sparring. Definitely needed to get on that...
That led to the second distraction: Liek's physique. Sure, he was still pretty small in stature but Opherla couldn't help but see he had gotten a bit of a tone to his muscles as well, matching her from who she once was to who she is now. And it made Opherla blush a bit! Liek was handsome as heck! He was absolutely amazing, eye candy for Opherla's eyes, even if she WAS engaged to him. Opherla was absolutely stunned in place from Liek's physique as she looked at him dreamily, seeming to be completely infatuated.
Of course, Liek's next move would snap her off of that and on to something else. He suddenly constructed a large blue whale plushie, an exact one to one replica of a blue whale in plushie form. Opherla's eyes widened in awe at the massive plushie at first, before they suddenly sparkled upon seeing the giant plushie having been brought forth! In Opherla's eyes, Liek just created the best present Opherla had ever received, as she actively spread her arms open to receive the wonderful gift that Liek had intended to deal damage, as the plushie descended down on Opherla with no evident resistance!
THWUMP!
With that resounding sound, the plushie hit the ground, and was now rested completely on top of Opherla as it lay motionless for a long while with Opherla underneath of it. From the perspective of someone who couldn't sense energy, they would have thought that Opherla had died there on the spot due to how large the plushie was and how motionless it had been after it hit the floor. But Liek knew better than that because the first indication was he could still sense Opherla's power level beneath the gargantuan plushie, a clear indication that she still was alive and well from underneath the large plushie. But that was just one indication that Liek knew Opherla was alive and well.
The other clear indication? The happy puppy like sounds coming from beneath the plushie as Opherla was happily hugging and snuggling it gladly from underneath like a child who had gotten their new favorite cuddle friend. And Opherla certainly had laid claim to hers. She hadn't been able to find a blue whale plushie, let alone one that was a one to one replica to the proper size of a blue whale, so the fight suddenly came to a screeching pause by Opherla happily snuggling away the plushie Liek had tossed at her and crushed her under, as she was snuggling and huggling it from underneath as she continued making happy noises.
Plushies. The greatest weakness of Opherla. Her favoritest things in the world (besides Liek) and her true obsession other than usual Saiyan battle drive. Opherla's collection of plushies had so much surplus that Opherla needed a method to get rid of them. So her technique was crafted after reading ninja mangas and using her ki to practice such substitution tactics like they had done in those ninja mangas, and Opherla had truly perfected the craft to pull it off so easily on her opponents. She didn't care about those copies that kept getting shredded up from attacks. She cared more about limited editions or new plushies she came across, and Liek's creation was no different in her radar of plushies she didn't want to see get shredded up. The blue whale was so comfortable, Opherla could bury herself under this big guy and sleep all day! He was such a cute big plushie and Opherla wanted to hold him like this forever and ever and ever!
Her attention was off Liek so much that Liek had the perfect opportunity to strike his fiancée... that is, if he could strike her without striking his distraction method as well, considering it was the one thing keeping Opherla from resuming their fight, the giant whale doing its job well of getting Opherla back... just maybe not in the way Liek expected it to.

It would seem that Liek’s whale of a distraction was certainly having the intended effect, capturing the attention of his fiance and ensuring her focus was entirely on something other then him. In fact, it seemed the whale-mail delivery seemed to be such a hit that it’s mere existence overwhelmed the wolf-girl entirely, allowing the blubbery fluffer flatten the girl under it’s sizable girth. For a moment the boy wondered if his Cetacean surprise had overwhaled his fiance, only for the noises emerging from underneath the squishy mass to reveal that his lover was actually having a whale of a time instead. The boy stood straight while looking over at the fabric and stuffing leviathan and pondered the giddy puppy noises emerging from beneath it for a moment.
Crossing his arms he considered following up with an attack but decided against it. The sweet sounds of joy, muffled as they where, wafting up from beneath the dopey eyed fabric aquatic mammal where like music to his ears. After all the crap the two had been through this moment of brevity, of pure, innocent, joy, was something he felt Opherla deserved and he didn’t want to ruin the moment.
It also brought a new problem to the boy’s attention; if Opherla loved this plushy this much then there was no doubt she had a sizeable collection, or at the least wanted such a collection. That meant he had to look over the Gau-la-Furia’s maps again and decide what rooms could be repurposed to serve the purpose of storing what would undoubtedly become the largest plushy collection in the Universe. Especially if it was going to include this whale plushy (or at least a replacement if this one got damaged or destroyed before then) and the custom plushies she was sure to ask for in the future.
Well, at least he’d learned two things from this; the first being that if he ever needed to improve her mood in a hurry he could just conjure a plushy. The second being that despite being an unapologetic tomboy who loved fighting more then almost anything that would considered traditionally feminine she still loved cutesy things like plushies. It give him some hope he’d get to see her in fancy dresses whenever they do official functions as Emperor and Empress-Consort in the future. And he did mean future, the Empire wasn’t nearly large or powerful enough to be making any official overtures like that.
At least not until Arctic was sorted out.
Sitting down with his legs crossed the boy waited with a serene smile on his face, listening to his lover play with the plushy. Now was a good time for a breather anyway. He’d let her have her fill before they continued sparring.

The bliss of the plushie made Opherla forget about literally everything for a long while. Forget about Arctic, forget about Liari, forget about the world, forget about all the troubles and pains that life threw at her and Liek constantly, not to mention, it made her forget about the fight for a long while! And it was much needed for sure. The sheer joy the plushie gave was a reminder that life wasn't always cruel to people like her and Liek. There were always moments like these that were so precious and so nurturing to the soul that it gave life its true meaning: life, to live out each day unlike the day before. To reach for a brighter tomorrow amidst the darkness and the pain. To reach for new heights amidst bleak hopes and seemingly vain efforts. It was a reminder....that life was worth fighting for. Even if it was hard. Even if it was painful sometimes. There was always a chance to reach farther ahead for new hopes and futures, to create your own narrative. Not what the world wanted you to be, but what you wanted to be. That simplicity, that comfort, all that was reminded to Opherla as she lay underneath the plushie, as she clutched it tightly and held it for just a few more minutes. Just a few more minutes of simple, pure joy....
When that time was up, the blue whale finally moved and shifted in its place, as soon enough, very cutely, a couple of ears popped out from underneath, as Opherla squiggled and wriggled herself out bit by bit, before finally getting out from underneath the whale as she stood up, dusting herself off as she stretched herself out, popping her back and other stiffened parts of her body that had stiffened up after being flattened by the large whale as she got herself loosened back up before she smiled at Liek.
"Thanks Liek. ...That really helped get my mind off the stress of everything, even if it isn't permanent. But I think I've wasted our time long enough." Opherla remarked, before she would suddenly lift the blue whale plush and move it to a safe area of the training room to keep it out of the line of fire as she smiled, patting its head.
"No worries my new plush, I'll find you a new home as soon as this battle is done." Opherla sweetly smiled before she turned her attention back to Liek, her fierce smile returning as her eyes began to blaze with a newfound passion for the battle. Ready to spar even harder than she had been before.
"You ready to continue, Liek?" Opherla asked as she would take her stance and prepare herself once more, as the determined look burned even brighter than before in her eyes, like a blazing fire reignited by a stray spark, a match thrown on a dying fire, a jug of gasoline tossed into smolders. Opherla's fiery battling spirit was back once again, and in full effectiveness now, not even worried about the foes threatening her and Liek's way of life, but ready to prepare for them and face them head on!

The boy merely watched quietly as his fiance wormed her way out from under the massive plushy with a warm smile on his face, his gaze continuing to follow her movements as she worked out the stiffness that had built up in her body and limbered up to resume their sparring match. To him it may as well have been like watching an angel, the beauty of her existence being as intoxicating as the hardest liquor someone older then him may consume.
As she moved the plushy off to the side he once again considered what they would do with it after. Just getting it out of the training chamber would be complicated mess all by itself. The door to the chamber was no where near large enough to accommodate, and that was oversized in it’s own right being ten feet high. The Gau-la-Furia did have a Cloud Fold system for moving the ship, maybe it could be modified for moving things inside the ship? That was something worth looking into, it would certainly make moving the Saiyan pods out storage faster and easier when it was time for the refugees to leave.
But there was another thing on Liek’s mind. With the rise of his new Empire he would need to do something about a certain someone, a last dying ember of the past that refused to go out. He was thinking of Jar-keel, the Last Fury. Liek wasn’t sure how, but he had survived the final battle where Carolina had supposedly killed him. The last time the boy had encountered the ancient Fury had been while training with Master Roshi and he highly doubted that would be the last time he saw the ancient warrior.
How had Jar-Keel survived? How had he come back to Earth? Where had he been all this time? The last time the J-Numbers had seen him he’d been completely insane, driven beyond his limit by repeated humiliations and a demotion. How had a man in that kind of mental state managed to survive what should have been a fatal blow, find his way to Earth and not go on a rampage?
And should he drag Opherla into what was a Fury matter? Yes, they where to marry. She seemed resolved to learn what it was to be a Fury, to live as close to that way as her sensibilities would allow. But even with her willingness to immerse herself, should he involve her? For that matter, did he want her involved? A part of him wanted to settle things with Jar-Keel himself without anyone else involved. The Last Fury and the Inheritor of the Fury. The last of the species and the last to be raised as a traditional Fury.
He couldn’t decide, she was becoming Empress, but at the same time she didn’t have as much of a connection to the past Fury as he did.
Shacking his head to free himself of his indecision he looked back at Opherla and met her gaze before smirking, “Ready.” he replied before launching forward, leading the offence this time. Part way to his fiance he vanished into a Cloud Fold, and rapidly repeated the move making it look like a dozen Liek’s existed for a fraction of a second before launching punch form her side and following through with a flurry of punches and kicks.
