Opherla could be seen flying through the sky as she was on her way back to the Gau-la-Furia, being guided there by Basireous after the events that happened prior to Opherla's return. The events leading up… those plagued Opherla's mind ever since she broke free from Liari's mind control, or rather, Basireous broke Opherla free from Liari's mind control. Opherla had woken up before Liek had, but knew if she had waited until Liek woke up to give him something she desperately wanted to give him, she would only be an emotional mess repeating the words "I'm sorry" to him again and again. So she left him the thing she wanted him to have. A weddding ring she had purchased, hoping to give it to him in better times... so much for that. It was this plus many other things that made Opherla still an emotional mess even as she got closer to the Gau-la-Furia.
The bodies… they still were fresh in their mind. The bodies of Gemini… Shiso… Zaks….
…Ayu…
Ayu probably hurt the worst among those who died that day battling Arctic. She was such a sweet person. She was such a caring person. She didn't deserve to die. Opherla didn't WANT her to die! But in the end… she died. She was gone. And Opherla now had to deal with the fact that it was her fault. It was her weakness that caused her to be unable to help, to become mind controlled in the first place, to be the one to kill Gemini, to be the one to just stand aside while Arctic killed everyone, and sent Callion flying far away. Callion… Opherla didn't even think about Callion. She hoped Callion was okay.
Opherla would soon fly through the opened doors of the Gau-la-Furia, the familiar sights and scents of home greeting her as she did so… such a bittersweet sensation, this was… Opherla was glad to be back. But circumstances could have definitely been much better. Her weakness had caused everything to happen. Caused Liari to get into her mind, caused pain and suffering for those around her… In Opherla's mind, her mind played over and over again "It's all my fault, it's all my fault, it's-" Thankfully, the computer of the Gau-la-Furia would break that destructive thought loop.
"Welcome home, Co-Captain Opherla. Scanning for Majin corruption… 0%. All clear. Would you be interested in venturing to the training room on the Gau-la-Furia? Captain Liek has received a brand new Gravity Chamber from a woman named Zaks and has placed it in the training room within the Gau-la-Furia. I can guide you there if you wish?"
"...That would be nice." Opherla's usually chipper voice was now heavy laden with emotionlessness to hide her ball of emotions swirling deep inside her: anger, sadness, pain, agony, and so much other negative emotions that just swirled like a tornado. Zaks... Zaks had given Liek this chamber... how nice of her... What Opherla wouldn't give to bring Zaks back to life. She soon slowly made her way to the new Gravity Chamber, following the lit up path that the computer left for her to guide her to the Gravity Chamber so she could train. So she could get stronger.
Get stronger… that was what got her in this mess in the first place. That desire, that weakness, that one hitch and flaw to her character has caused more pain than good. Gotta get stronger, gotta be the defender of Earth. What good is a damn defender of Earth when she can't catch up to the massive hellhounds who want to DESTROY Earth!? Opherla was a joke! A fraud! An ignorant little puppy like she has always been! South City was on repeat once again in her mind as she was now in a new state of emotional turmoil, only this time her opponent was ARCTIC. Not Liari. But Liari was still an obstacle in Opherla's way….
All this emotional struggle culminated as Opherla walked into the Chamber, not even looking around and almost setting it to its max gravity setting as if she was a lifeless robot… but once she hit 175 times Gravity…. She barely felt it kick in. Meaning this would be her last training session inside that chamber….
Meaning her ways of getting stronger were even less than before, making that goal of hers, that stupid goal of hers even farther away. And it was this that finally caused Opherla to crack. She suddenly yelled in pain and agony as she threw herself to the floor, sitting as she buried her face into her knees, her wailing sobs able to be heard by anyone passing by the Gravity Chamber they were so loud coming from the closed room, as Opherla cried and cried for a long time in that position.
Basireous would soon materialize before Opherla, looking at her like a mother would her child, a concerned mother, wanting to help their child succeed in life, as the Life Dragon would softly growl, emanating a calming aura that calmed Opherla down slightly, as Opherla looked up at Basireous.
"Vita… why are you crying? What troubles your soul?" Basireous asked in concern. "....Hide nothing from me, Vita… I only wish to-"
"Vita… I don't deserve that damned title. Stop calling me Vita." Opherla spoke bitterly. "....I took lives, Basireous. I've not been able to stop lives from being taken. I haven't saved any lives, I've destroyed them!" Opherla exclaimed in anger, though it was more aimed at herself than at Basireous.
"....The balance of things, dear Vita, is cruel many times. This will not be the only time one destined to save must destroy lives. This season… it is a season of destruction. But a season of life will eventually come. It is the natural balance." Basireous explained.
"Natural balance…" Opherla repeated, but still looked away from Basireous in guilt.
"....You don't know it. But you do realize… you have saved someone, right?" Basireous asked.
"Who…?" Opherla asked.
"The one you love the most. Liek Galswith. You battled him for himself when Raylenard Thermidor tried to take control of him. You saved him then. And even your love for him… has saved him from what I fear his original fate could have been." Basireous spoke.
"....I… guess when you put it that way…" Opherla remarked.
"Liek won't stop fighting. He may very well use this setback to push his limits beyond what one might believe is possible. You, Opherla, are his mate. His lover. The one destined to be with him. He stands and fights. What will he be without his Empress at his side?" Basireous asked Opherla.
Opherla pondered these words, looking down to the floor as she heard them. Yes… Liek was going to stand and fight. Opherla knew that… and thinking about it… what could have happened to him… if she hadn't been there? If she hadn't been there, Liek could have died to Arctic. He could have died early on to Salada. He could have died to Liari… the two had been through so much… that Opherla could only think of all the times Liek could be gone, had she not been at his side.
Basireous was right. Liek needed her. And if Liek was going to fight…
Then Opherla needed to fight too.
Standing tall, Opherla smiled at Basireous. "Thanks for the reality check… Liek needs me to be strong. So I'll train and I'll fight so I can be strong for him. I'll train and fight for my man, for Liek… I'll stand and battle alongside him even unto death." Opherla declared.
"Excellent. I am happy to see your vibrance return, Vita. That vibrance is what Liek and everyone on this ship need in order to have their morale boosted." Basireous declared with a smile. "Now, begin your training. I sense Liek is on his way, and Volda is guiding him."
Opherla nodded, as Basireous would fade as the Computer created a holographic group of training dummies, as Opherla would smile, getting ready to use a new technique she was ready to try. Ever since Roshi told her about the move, Opherla had taken up and used the Wolf Fang Fist to add to her arsenal. And now, she had a brand new variant to try, her aura flaring as she powered up, forming 10 Orgone Crystals as they blitzed their opponents, as Opherla rushed forward in a wolf like furious assault, jabbing and slashing her opponents as she did this for an incredibly long amount of time, taking a move used by a fighter from long ago and making it her own in a manner that made her outclass him by leaps and bounds as she unleashed the move, before Opherla would then flip kick backwards, staggering the last hologram that wasn't already pulverized, as the Orgone Crystals all landed on the foe, before Opherla slashed through, causing a massive, sparkling explosion of Orgone Crystals! Oh yes… Opherla was now ready. She was ready to get back into her swing of things. Her motion of things. It was time for her to save the world. With one HELL of a training session!

Waking for Liek happened much the way it always had, there was no gradual flow from unconsciousness as he slowly regained his senses and his brain rebooted like so many others. For Liek he was completely out one moment and entirely aware the next like a switch had been flipped. Was it related to his Saiyan and Demon natures working in tandem to bring him back to a combat ready state? Who could really know? Not even comparing himself to the only other Saiyan Demon hybrid he really knew, Zaks, could give him an answer.
And May wasn’t much help in his search for answers either, as her Saiyan side was muted to seemingly purely cosmetic.
The first thing the boy did once he awakened was to roll over onto his back as he tested his own mind, allowing it to drift and wander. He had just spent a considerable amount under the influence of mind altering magic, and he thought he felt it receding before he passed out, but he needed to be sure. After a moment he felt no influence from the malignant magic directing his thoughts and emotions. He’d have felt elated if not for the weight of his buried guilt and grief hitting him like the sledgehammer to the face.
A sob wracked his chest as he remembered his Fury Fangs darting about, the emerald beams cutting and slicing their way through Gemini. He’d only met her once and so barely knew her, but their interaction had been friendly as they worked out the logistics of transferring the Gravity Chamber and copying the Saiyan Archives. He’d formed a very positive opinion of the woman from that short interaction and knowing it was his attacks that sealed her fate… he hated it! He hated it so much!
And Zaks, he’d grown to greatly respect the Queen of the Saiyans. She was a just ruler who had wanted to lead the Saiyans to be more then their barbaric ancestors had been, to rise beyond the savagery of their past, kicking and scream if she had to, into a future were they where a functional society in the galactic community. But he’d helped in ending her life, all because of the magic twisting his mind.
And Ayu… the boy barely knew her, but she’d been a pure and gentle soul. She didn’t deserve that fate...
It was like icy talons gripping at his heart and trying to tear it apart in all directions.
After several minutes of just crying on the ground the boy sat up and looked around. His eyes widened as the colour left his face, he couldn’t see or sense Opherla anywhere! Where was she?! Was she alright?! Had Liari killed her after he fell?! Was she still under the Majin’s control?! As full blown panic began to sink in a voice cut through his frantic thoughts-
“Vita is fine, Inheritor.”
“Volda…” The boy whispered slowly as the words registered in his mind. She was fine? If she wasn’t here and he couldn’t sense her then… she likely already returned to the Gau-la-Furia. That made sense, it was a safe haven and their home. Not even Arctic could reach them there, and only those they allowed to do so could even find it. And now that they where free the Gods could lead them back their. Just as they had planned before the whole mess started.
Tears ran down the boy’s cheeks as he muttered, “Thank goodness…”
Although they had done terrible things the objective of the plan had worked; the Gau-la-Furia and all those taking refuge on board remained out of the reach of Arctic, and now Liari. Even if Gemini had given the Majin knowledge of the Saiyans aboard the Arcship it was too late for her to exploit that knowledge. And even if she had, without the connection to the Gods they could never find it, and even if he’d still had a connection neither God would have given up the location when they sensed the mind control.
It was only in this moment, as his mind drifted back to the moment, that he felt the weight of something in his hand. Gripping it he turned it around to have a proper look at it and found it to be a simple golden band, meant for a finger. His eyes widened in confusion for a moment as his other hand reached into his pocket and checked for a certain object, and found it. Pulling it out he looked at it and found the ring he’d purchased with the intent of giving to Opherla, anticipating the events of the battle with Arctic going very differently…
“She left it with you.” Volda explained in Liek’s mind.
After a time in which he just stared at the two rings he grit his teeth and clenched his fists around the rings. He slowly rose up off the ground and hovered for a moment.
No words where exchanged between him and his God. None where needed, it was clear what the boy wanted to do, and the God approved, placing the necessary information directly into the boy’s brain. If you blinked in that moment it would have been all the time he needed to disappear.
Unlike Opherla, Liek didn’t need to manually fly all the way to the Gau-la-Furia. So long as he had the location of where it was, that was all he needed to get to it in an instant. But Volda had provided more then that, he’d given the boy precision information down to exact altitude, speed and heading. More then enough for the boy to appear inside the Training Chamber in the same instant he’d disappeared from the wasteland.
He arrived just in time to see his beloved absolutely decimating a group of holographic foes. It was a sight that brought a smile to his lips and warmth to his chest, even now she could find the strength to push forward. She was right, of course, as guilty and loathsome he may feel, allowing himself to wallow in self-pity to the point of inactivity, although tempting, would achieve nothing.
He was the Prince of the Fury. He had a nation, small as it may be, to lead. To see rise like a phoenix from the ashes of the old Empire. He couldn’t remain stagnant while threats to his people hounded their heels.
The intensity of the gravity did make him falter at first, but the times he had used Gravity Chambers previously came flooding back to the boy in an instant and the techniques for countering the effects all triggered unconsciously, needing no more input then his own breathing.
“Welcome home, Captain Liek. Majin Corruption at 0%. Clearance Confirmed. Would you like to notify Squire Cauri of your return?” The computer chirped.
“Open coms to Cauri.” He replied and received chime telling him he was connected, “Cauri, remain at your station and maintain command for now. I…” he paused as he looked over at his girlfriend, “We… need some time to sort ourselves out a bit.”
There was a moment of quiet until the girl’s high pitched voice replied, “Understood Master… If you need anything, anything at all, just ask.” There was a pause and she added, “I am yours to use as y-”
Liek cut to coms line before she could follow up with anything that make him feel uncomfortable. Her… eagerness… worried him sometimes.
Inhaling to steel his resolve the boy warped over next to his lover as she came to a stop for a moment, making sure he would standing where she would look, just in case she was too into it for her energy sense to detect him. Once her focus was on him he slowly and deliberately walked over to her. If she looked closely she’d have seen the ring she had left with him wrapped around the ring finger of his left hand. Once he was in front of her he knelt down with his head lowered for a few moments. Eventually me managed, “Opherla!” he bit his lip as he faltered, “I… You’re so precious to me… more then I ever imagined anyone could be… I can’t stand the thought of us being apart…” he looked up and into her eyes, “Please…” he lifted his right hand and opened it, palm up, towards her, the ring he’d bought for her resting in the palm, “Please be my bride!”

The presence arrived to her like a gentle warmth of a summer breeze. He had come home. He had woken up... and most importantly of all, he was here. He was back home. He was alright even after Opherla left him where he had been. She smiled at Liek the minute she saw him, as she saw him looking at her attack, as she couldn't help but see the proud smile on his face over Opherla's reinvigorated spirit. Opherla then noticed... the band. The wedding band she left him was adorned on his left hand. He had accepted her... despite all her failures, despite what happened... despite the things she did... Liek still accepted her. Not only that. He WANTED her. And that was all it took for Opherla to start shedding tears again, as he made the call to Cauri... she never met Cauri, but it must have been a Saiyan on the ship. Regardless, Opherla would wait in anticipation as she watched Liek approaching her. She never left eye contact with Liek as he slowly approached her. Opherla had a good idea she knew what was coming... but even knowing it... tears were rolling down her face as she watched Liek kneel before her, as he pulled it out... the ring he had bought for her. Even just seeing it caused Opherla to cover her mouth, despite expecting it for all this time. She heard him propose, as she broke down in a sobbing mess of tears, as they rolled down her face as Opherla cried.
"Liek.... I don't understand..." Opherla would cry. "I don't truly understand why you would want to marry such a weak hearted person like me... I've always been quicker to discourage than you... and yet... you still ask like you want me..." Opherla sobbed as she looked at him with tear filled eyes.
"....If you would have me, then yes... I'll be your bride. I'll inherit the surname of Galswith... and be by your side for all of eternity." Opherla spoke as the deal was sealed. She stretched out her own left hand... ready to accept Liek's ring. She was ready for this ever since the day she and Liek met. Something always nudged her to believe that she and Liek would become this one day... and that day was today. The day that Opherla would never forget in the long span of eternity. The day when Liek finally put all his emotions of shyness and unsureness aside, and proposed to the woman of his dreams. That woman was Opherla... and Opherla was more than happy to be what Liek wanted her to be right now.
And that was to be Opherla Galswith, Liek's one and only, Liek's beacon of love and hope, Liek's betrothed.... Liek's pillar of support, just as he was the pillar of Opherla's support.

She’d kept her eyes on him the whole time, her focus on him. He’d seen the look she’d cast towards the ring on his finger and he’d seen the emotional effect it had had on her. Months ago, when they had first met, such a reaction would have had the boy panicking in confusion, lost and wondering if he’d done something to distress and upset the young woman he loved so much. But now? Now he was so much more familiar with Opherla that he felt no confusion at her reaction. He could just... tell that the tears where coming from a good place.
Technically his Telepathy was powerful enough to just read her mind to be sure, but that would be a violation of her privacy.
And then his proposal smashed through the floodgates, leaving the lupine girl gushing out all her emotions, confessing to her own confusion as to why he’d propose in the first place, and denigrating herself. The boy smiled sadly at her as she did, his brow creased in an inverted v shape over her words, “Oh, Opherla. I don’t care about that, if anything I’m the weird one for wanting to stand against all odds all the time.” he laughed and looked down, closing his eyes, “But doesn’t that just mean we’re right for each other?” He looked back up at her with a loving smile, “I drive you forward when you would hesitate on your own, while you rein me in when I get in over my head. Together we make a single sensible person!”
As she reached out her left hand he smiled, tears in his own eyes, as he took her hand in his own left, and guided the ring onto her finger with his right. He grinned, “Nothing could make me happier right now. Having you at my side completes me, having you as my Opherla Galswith… it’s like finding the missing part of my soul.”
Although Liek had every intention of being completely faithful to his new bride, others had other plans. Volda and Basireous looked at each other from across the Orgone Layer knowingly and nodded. After all, the boy was to be an Emperor. It only made sense for an Emperor to have a gaggle of Consorts along with his Empress-Consort, at least they thought so.

Opherla would smile and hug Liek, while also kissing him passionately, as they shared a blissful moment of pure love with one another, just standing in the 175 times gravity set chamber as they hugged and kissed one another deeply, holding the moment as their tear filled eyes conveyed their happiness to be in each other's presence. Now it was fully solidified. They could become a proper married couple. They were now engaged. The wedding would come later. For now... Opherla let out of the kiss. This would be the happiest day of her life, but it couldn't be. Arctic was still a problem, as Opherla turned from Liek for a moment as she laughed.
"....I would love nothing more than to discuss wedding plans, honeymoon spots, all the like..." Opherla spoke before turning to Liek. "....But Liek... we have sins we need to atone for. And the only way we can atone for them is for us to do this and do this right. We need to train. Like we have never. Ever. Trained before." Opherla spoke firmly as she closed her eyes. "I'm sure you feel it yourself... the chamber... it won't help us for much longer. We could use it for others... but we can't use it for ourselves. Not past this training session today." Opherla spoke as she looked at Liek with firm eyes of fighting spirit.
"This is sure an odd way to celebrate our engagement... but Liek. We need to spar. You and I need to spar, Liek. We need to spar like we've never sparred before. We need to push ourselves farther beyond what we think we're capable of." Opherla spoke firmly. "I'm sure you know that. But we can't stop if we get tired this time. We have to push. We have to push HARD. If we don't.... then Arctic will beat us. Liari will beat us before then. If we can't surpass Liari, we have no hope of defeating Arctic. So we need to push ourselves, my love!" Opherla spoke with a firm tone as she took a battle stance.
"....Besides. It's been far too long since we last compared ourselves against each other. I want to see how far you've come since the day I met you." Opherla said with a bright smile, ready to battle her fiancée in a long, gruelling training session within the Gravity Chamber.

Opherla’s embrace, the warmth of her touch and silkiness of her hair. It thrilled the boy and filled his heart with warmth, warmth enough to shatter the cold grip of his regrets and his guilt, it energised and invigorated like nothing else he’d every experienced. Her lips on his own felt like a magnet, drawing him in and not wanting to allow them to part, all the while sending sparks down his spine as he leaned in to her embrace, feeling comfort like he never had before.
Her first words got him blushing a little as he imagine her in a wedding dress… then on a beach for their honeymoon in a bikini, then her walking towards him while pulling on the straps and-
NOPE! Now was not the time Liek!
He snapped back to reality in time for hear the rest of what Opherla was saying and he sighed sadly, “You aren’t wrong. Still, something to look forward to right?” He inhaled and sighed again, “Yeah… Gemini, Shiso, Zaks and Ayu… Our mistakes cost too many people far too much.” He admitted.
“You aren’t wrong, we need to train even harder then ever before. And we can, we have access to things we never had before.” He gestured to the training chamber, the fully one kilometre wide training area that was also a gravity chamber, “We have so much more room to work with compared to your pod, or even your house.” Gesturing towards the door, “We have healing pods up and running over in the infirmary that can heal us in a day, even if we push ourselves to the breaking point.” He turned back to Opherla with a confident nod, “And the Gau-la-Furia’s stealth system makes the entire ship undetectable, so Arctic and Liari won’t even sense us getting stronger.”
He paused as he remembered something, “And… training isn’t the only path to power, is it?” frowning he looked back Opherla, “I remember something Callion mentioned when confronting Arctic; he accused Arctic of using the Dragon Balls to get stronger…” He looked conspiratorial, “If Arctic can use them to do that… what’s stopping us?”

Opherla could see Liek thinking about what she had said to him. The thought of such things did make her giggle on just what kind of thoughts he was having about her. Silly Liek, never ever change. It was all true however, Opherla truly did want them to talk about wedding and honeymoon plans together... but with Arctic on the horizon, looming over them and this planet, that was pretty much out of the question, wasn't it? Opherla would then hear Liek talk about the Dragon Balls... Opherla supposed that was an option. Liek wasn't wrong in his line of thinking. If Arctic was this strong because he had gained all seven of the Dragon Balls, who was to say that Liek and herself couldn't find and use the Dragon Balls for themselves? It was a very viable option that could be exploited down the line. After all, time in the Gravity Chamber for them both was running out each passing moment they just stayed in there, and eventually train in there. For Opherla, she knew this would be the last time she would ever get the benefits from the Chamber itself... so she needed to make every moment count in that Chamber.
"You're totally right, Liek." Opherla finally responded with a smile. "We very well could use the Dragon Balls to make ourselves stronger. Better for us to use them and find them than to let them come under Arctic's grasp, yes? I like how you're thinking." The lycan Saiyan remarked with a warm smile on her face. "I would have us search for them right now... but..." Opherla remarked as she looked at her body. "...I'm afraid if I don't use the time in this chamber wisely, the next time I come in, I won't get any benefits at all, Liek." Opherla declared as she looked at Liek with a determined gaze. "That's why I want us to train in here first. That's why I want us to spar and get stronger right here and now, while we still have the chance to do this here. I'm sure we can train others in this chamber later but....for now, Liek... we just need to do what we can in here while we can."
Opherla would smile at Liek. "The Gau-la-Furia is the perfect place to have this sort of thing, from what you're telling me. It sounds like a perfect place to train in this Chamber however long we wanted to do so for. And I intend to do so until you and I are strong enough to take the fight right to Liari, and beat her first, to make a statement to Arctic that we're not finished just yet. We're coming back with a vengeance, and we're gonna bring the rest of Earth's strongest warriors with us." Opherla smiled eagerly before she would take a battling stance, ready to begin.
"So come on Liek. Let's battle like we've never battled before! Let's spar like it's our last day to spar in the world!" Opherla smiled, before she firmly looked at Liek with a look of not only determination, but also love.
"Let's spar... and keep each other strong like I believe a proper Emperor and Empress should."

“With how arrogant Arctic was acting I’m not sure if he even thinks others using the Dragon Balls would present a threat to him.” Liek gave his assessment of the situation, “So I doubt he’s going to lift a finger to collect them.” He concluded, additionally he wasn’t sure if Liari would care enough about them to seek them herself. If anything the Majin was more likely to seek them out to draw in someone to snack on, assuming the idea ever occurred to her in the first place.
The Gau-la-Furia was more then just a vessel for crossing the Sea of Stars, it was a self-sufficient home for those on board, able to sustain everyone living on it with a near unlimited power source. It could recycle resources like air and water indefinitely thanks to the five biospheres filtering them, and food and was virtually infinite thanks to the Orgone Replicators. Even materials for repair and construction where virtually unlimited since they could be forged by materialising Orgone. If they wanted to they could just ignore the outside world and live their lives in isolation untouchable and undetectable.
But neither Liek nor Opherla could abide by such a thing. Both felt a driving need to help protect those weaker then themselves and destroy tyranny.
The boy nodded with a smile, but his eyes burning with determination, “Yeah, let’s train.” Without another word he floated slightly into the air and floated a short distance from Opherla. He held his legs out just beyond shoulder width apart with all the joints bent, relaxed and yet ready to spring into action. His left arm was raised and bent at the elbow in a guard position while the right was in front of his chest, chambered and ready to spring into either an attack or guard as needed. Opherla’s lessons into the Furiemshinken hadn’t progressed much beyond Energy Materialisation and Broken Arm, so she wouldn’t recognise the name of the School, or any of them really, from which the stance drew it’s name. The boy’s stance of choice was the Ran-Fa form, the most defensive focused on Furiemshinken’s Schools.
His smile widened into a small grin as he waited in anticipation, both his Saiyan and Demon sides where in agreement in this moment; there wasn’t a doubt that what was about to come was going to be a good fight. No stakes, just a pure fight with a worthy opponent and nothing to interrupt them.

Opherla would beam upon hearing Liek's declaration. Finally, after so long of them fighting or training with others, at this level of strength, Opherla could now trade blows with the man she loved, her now betrothed husband, her one and only man she ever believed she would be with after realizing it during the time she spent with him. Liek Galswith. When Opherla met him, he was but a small fraction of her Power Level, and didn't amount to a whole lot back then. But now... Opherla couldn't think of a better person to spar with in order to chase away all their emotions regarding what happened not so long ago. With Liek's declaration, Opherla toom her stance as she prepared to do battle with him...
And she would initiate the fight, her Saiyan blood kicking into high gear as she dashed for Liek, starting off the fight with multiple attempts to punch and kick Liek to deal damage to him, all while forming Orgone Crystals as she fought to try and catch Liek off guard with one of them or a surprise fist, her Lycanshoto technique having evolved fiercely since the two of them met. It was no longer an instinctual use of her wolf powers in her martial arts, it was evolved further beyond that, to be a style anyone could pick up if they put their mind to it. While the wolf like attack stances and techniques were prevalent, Opherla was now treating it like a proper martial arts form instead of what it had been before. For example, normally Opherla would be claw striking and chomping on some attacks, but now, Opherla was just throwing out sharp, almost slashing punches and kicks, complete with some of them having a claw like ki trail from how she battled.
After her initial assault, regardless of how well it worked or didn't work on Liek, Opherla would leap backwards, and send a flurry of Orgone Crystals at Liek before she would leap into the air, firing off a massive ki salvo that spread across the field of battle, Orgone and ki dancing about dangerously like a deadly duet upon the stage of battle, as Opherla was smiling all the way, knowing Liek could probably handle himself and that for once, she would be in a battle where she could have fun instead of worrying about the safety of the world or universe for once. And this feeling... Opherla had wanted this feeling for such a long time. Just letting loose to have fun, not worrying about the safety of Earth even if it was for a brief moment. Sure, this would help her and Liek both train but... it was a fight that had no pressure behind it. No strings attached for a 'what-if' if the two of them lose. Just Opherla and Liek, laying all of it out in that Gravity Chamber in one long fighting session that they planned to drag out for as long as they could.

Opherla’s leading off with the Broken Arm crystals was perfectly executed and the boy couldn’t have felt more pride in knowing that he was the one who taught her that technique if he tried. The crystals swept about, darting through the air, changing momentum and direction in random intervals just like his own always did.
To think, when the two had met the boy couldn’t even manage the basics of Energy Materialisation let alone wield the kind of power he did now… Back then, even at her base level of power, Opherla had outstripped the boy by at least three or four orders of magnitude. Now they where sparring as equals, and both wielding the arts of a dead species, arts that the universe had thought lost. And he even had another student helming the last and greatest vessel of that race. The same vessel they where training in.
Opherla’s crystals where answered with a set of the boy’s own, the two sets of crystals dancing dizzying circles and streaks through the chamber at blinding speeds, slamming and crashing into each other, sending sparks and fragments of orgone scattering in their wake. Liek kept up the flow of energy to his crystals, allowing them to generate their lost shards as quickly as they lost him, something he had no doubt Orpherla was also doing.
An impressed smirk crossed his face as he observed the way his fiance attacked him, in terms of how her style operated it hadn’t changed, remaining akin to a steamroller coming full force with the intent of flattening the foe with overwhelming ferocity. But what had changed was the form of her techniques, it was clear she was thinking more about how her form worked and how it could be passed on to others. Closed fists where not a part of how she had fought previously, but she was including them now, a sign she was maturing her style from a her-alone form to one meant to be passed on to students.
Her plan of attack would have functioned well against most opponents, but against Liek, the one who had taught it to her, it didn’t work so well. The crystals where barely a distraction, he was so practised in their use he didn’t even think about them anymore, allowing him to counter with his own with dividing his attention. And her head on attacks were met by the pure defensive grace of Ran-Fa, the boy evading and deflecting the attacks as they came. Pure offence slammed into pure defence in a stalemate and not a single one of Opherla’s punches and kicks broke through until she leapt away.
A renewed flurry of crystals flew his way, being met and knocked of course by his own, once again the two sets of crystals clashed and spun like a some kind of mix between jousting and a dog fight. Suddenly the salvo of ki blasts from Opherla filled the chamber and Liek literally leapt into action, an excited grin on his face as he flung himself into the air. He batted blasts away from himself, managing to even send a few back at the wolf girl, using the force to redirect his trajectory and bounced off the spiralling orgone crystals, both his own and Opherla’s to suddenly change directions, constantly moving.
He wasn’t able to avoid all of them, with some hitting harder then others, but all of them ablated across his Energy Field leaving him unharmed. The ones that his harder forced him to adjust his trajectories through the air, but adjust he did and the minor setbacks didn’t bother him any.
Then he suddenly vanished, folding space and time to warp to where Opherla was and launch into a counter assault with a completely different fighting style to his earlier Ran-Fa. It was something new he was working one, something he’d barely started on but he had an idea of where he wanted to take it. And what better time to start practising it in earnest?
The youth swiped at his fiance with an open handed strike, his fingers spread and curled like a claw. Glistening on the tips of his fingers where short green, and sharp, orgone crystals. The motion itself would be familiar to Opherla, as, after all, it was based on her own. But the attack didn’t stop at a single swipe, as the boy followed through with his other hand, the fingers tipped with the same crystals but held out flattened, the entire arm lancing out like it was using the hand like the head of a spear. What followed was a controlled flurry or swipes, spear hands and kicks in a clearly adaption of her Lycanshoto.

Opherla smiled as her fists clashed into Liek's guard. The feeling of fists clashing against something else with no strings of worldwide damnation was a breath of fresh air to Opherla, as she took the time between blows to admire the sparks and collisions of the Orgone Crystals going on around the both of them as Opherla smiled all the way through this. This was what a true battle was like, to fight with no fear or worry of anything other than proving your strength to your opponent, and having a blast while doing so! This was the true spirit of the battle! This was the true meaning of fighting!
Opherla would suddenly see Liek use his Fold technique to suddenly warp in behind her, as Opherla would turn... and see something she hadn't expected in the least. Her fiancée... was using her style of fighting. She could tell just from the swapped stance! He was using her stance, her battle form. She never felt more happiness swell up inside of her than this moment right now. Liek, her fiancée, using her style of fighting, or at least an adaptation of it! Opherla couldn't be happier, but she alsp knew the fight was far from over. So, she could think of no better way to combat this than to do one particular thing.
Opherla would soon shift her stance, as she soon became sturdy as Liek's attacks would clash hard into flesh. Opherla had been practicing her own shift in fighting styles, and feeling her defenses improved massively, Liek knew exactly what stance she was using here and now. Opherla was in Ran-Fa stance, and weathering Liek's assault with a wide smile on her face, enjoying every moment of it as she would weather the storm of Liek's attacks with Ran-Fa, taking his blows in full as she barely budged from her position, encouraging Liek to keep going after every hit with her eager smile and nods as she did so.
'Never in my life had I expected this from you, Liek... I'm so happy you feel so connected to me you can pick up my style like that, or at least use it in your own way.' Opherla thought to herself as she kept weathering Liek's assault. 'Our relationship will bloom, my love... and we'll make sure this Empire thrives just as it did many eons ago. That I can promise you. Until then... you keep getting stronger. So one day... you can surpass me in strength. You can be stronger than I am so you can fight things without me. It's not like that was an issue for you before, but it won't be at all if you become as strong as I know you can become.' Opherla's thoughts would finish as she would leap back from Liek's onslaught, dropping Ran-Fa as Opherla's knees bent, and she cupped her hands to the side.
"Ka.... me...." Opherla yelled, as her aura flared, as she knew Liek could see what was coming. But what Opherla hoped for wasn't for Liek to leap out of the way. No, she wanted them to clash. To put their powers against one another in a proper beam war, before they decide to go on to the next level of power. This fight was just getting started after all, the day was still young, they could go as hard and as long as they wanted to!
"Ha.... me....!!!" Opherla yelled, her aura surging as her eyes looked at Liek in a challenge, a challenge to clash with her with all he's got, to show off his strength with hers! To clash their strengths like true warriors in a beam struggle!
"HA!!!!!" Opherla yelled, her red colored Kamehameha firing at Liek as it surged through the air, flying towards him, with hopes of meeting another Kamehameha to see just how far both of them had come since they first met!

His Saiyan blood was howling with unrestrained joy! As ki and orgone infused limb clashed with ki and orgone infused limb the blood of the warrior race sang at the thrill of the fight and satisfaction of a worthy challenge! For once his opponent was overwhelmingly more powerful, someone seeking to lord over and mentor him with ridiculous ideas on how to help him or out for his blood. This battle, this sparring match was purely for the thrill, to push himself to the limit! And the Saiyan half of the boy was loving every second of it.
The Demon side of him was equally enjoying the battle. While it didn’t get the same kick out of Liek pushing his limits as the Saiyan side did, it did thoroughly enjoy testing Liek’s wits. Opherla was a fairly straight forward fighter by nature, despite her being the more likely to be swayed to nerves, however she was also adaptable and quick study when the mood took her. Her use of Ran-Fa was a testament to that and it thrilled the Demon blood in Liek, he hadn’t been forced to try to think of a way to get around his own style since his Grandmother had passed. And this was the first time he got to test his tactics while both having mastery of the core Furiemshinken techniques and a comparable strength as his opponent.
That said, just like his own grasp of Lycanshoto was lacking so to was Opherla’s grasp of Ran-Fa. Liek’s attacks with Lycanshoto where not as refined or forceful as Opherla’s, more over he was fairly certain he wasn’t throwing his body into his attacks quite right and that his take on the stance was off balance too. However, considering he had mostly learned the form through observation he didn’t think he was doing too badly overall. The same was true for Opherla’s Ran-Fa, her stance was sloppy with her legs and hands not quite positioned right, and her shoulders squared at the wrong angle. Plus she lacked the Energy Cloud, Fury Deflect and mastery of Flight that the form was built around so she couldn’t use it to it’s fullest. Even so, she had managed to pull it off pretty decently for someone who had learned this much through observation alone.
Perhaps some time after this match they could spend some time properly tutoring each other in the ins and outs of each other’s styles and help each other further refine their techniques. Who knows? Maybe they could even identify and overcome flaws in their own forms through teaching each other.
The Furiemshinken may have been an ancient martial art, but it was forever growing and adapting. He would be a pour Master and Inheritor of the style if he didn’t continue to make it grow, and Lycanshoto would be a worthy incorporation for the style. While the Furieshinken didn’t lack a head on style, Lycanshoto did it differently. Lycanshoto was more wild and unpredictable while Lyran-Shun was more focused on swordsmanship.
The boy’s musings about possible future training where broken as his fiance darted away, dropped Ran-Fa and flared her aura. Between the flaring aura and her cupping her hands it wasn’t difficult for him to piece together what was coming.
Only this time things where different.
Last time she’d done this they had been desperate, trying to push Liek to the breaking point, to unleash the Super Saiyan power that lurked deep within. Last time the weight of the world had been on their shoulders. Last time she hadn’t wanted to do it and had to be convinced. To push him to reach the next level of die trying.
This time there was no weight bearing down on them (other then the increased gravity), no desperation, and Opherla was doing was doing this of her own free will. There was no do or die.
There was only the thrill.
Liek grinned as he leapt back as well, shifting into Furiemshinken’s more balanced En-Har form. He held out his arms to either side and rotated them a quarter circle until one was above and the other below, “KA…” he intoned in time with Opherla, “ME…” He brought the hands together in front of him before pulling them to his side, “HA…” The blue sphere of ki formed between his palms shining brightly. Then he changed the formula, adding something he’d been working on, his Energy Cloud lit up as energy pulsed along it and into the ball of charging ki, mixing and swirling... “ME…” Another pulse over his Energy Cloud and the ki ball in his hand changed colour to green as it ignited!
Thrusting his hands forward in time with his fiance he roared at the top of his lungs, “HHAAAAA!!” as he unleashed his own variation of the Kamehameha towards her! His wolfgirl would he the first to see the fruits of his experiments, the first to witness the Burning Kamehameha as emerald and crimson beams met in a clash.

Opherla gained a wide smile upon her face the moment she saw the Burning Kamehameha, as its emerald brilliance crashed into Opherla's beam as the two beams warred with one another in a crimson and verdant light show, crackling and burning as they pushed against each other, trying to vie for superiority over the other, as Opherla's Saiyan genes were in hyperdrive now, as she was pumped now more than ever for this battle. Liek was pushing her unlike anyone had done before. Serena, Athren, Zaks, Callion, none of them pushed Opherla to be better than herself other than Liek. Liek was now Opherla's prime driving force for bettering herself. The one thing keeping her going in this path of getting stronger.
And right now, Opherla was ready for her and Liek to kick things up a notch.
Suddenly, the beam clash exploded in brilliant crimson and emerald fire, that slowly turned to green and red smoke as it settled, as Opherla suddenly broke through the smoke with a burst of blue energy from within the smoke, as Opherla smiled, her brown hair and blue eyes returning as the blue lunar energy surrounded her in her Mastered Fury form, as she hopped on her toes while kicking the air, smirking at Liek.
"Let's kick things up a notch, shall we Liek?" Opherla asked with a knowing smile as she stared Liek down after transforming, as her mind instantly went down memory lane of the last time she fought Liek using this form. The last time, it was to save Liek, as his demon form had taken hold of him, and Opherla was needed in order to break him free from those shackles binding him down. Now, things were different, as Opherla had only transformed because this fight was too thrilling to keep it in base form. Back then, it was a fight of desperation, emotions, and a desire to set Liek free. Now, it was none of those things. Just a fight with her fiancée to make them even stronger than before!
Opherla also thought back to South City... a recurring nightmare in her mind. She can remember how she felt during those times. Afraid, powerless, helpless, a little puppy surrounded by large wolves who sought to devour her on the spot. But now, this wolf pup had grown up, and was well on her way to working her way to be strong enough in order to do one thing: Beat that blue bubblegum body Majin to the ground for what she's done not just to Liek and herself, but what she made Liek and Opherla do to others. To Gemini, to Shiso, to Ayu, to Zaks, to Callion. They all must have felt betrayed when Liek and Opherla turned to Majin Mind Control... and the reputation the two of them had was probably not the best either. But this was their opportunity to change that and become strong enough to make their legend anew. To recreate the Holy Fury Empire as their own, with strong leadership and care for the world.
Expecting Liek to transform himself to match her, Opherla had a wide grin on her face as she dashed towards the direction Liek was standing, sending a powerful fist forward in hopes of a clash, so that this match could continue with increased power and increased intensity! This battle was only just beginning, there was more of it to fight between Opherla and her lovely fiancée Liek!

They had been through a lot since their first meeting. Back then, everything had been in the context of his Grandmother, what she had taught him, how she had suggested he live his life and set his goals. He’d been little more then an innocent child, wide eyed and curious as he set out into the world outside the forest for the first time. His heart had been heavy from losing his sole relative, even the relation had not been by blood, and his naive idealism the only thing guiding him. Opherla had been one of the first people he met, and the first to truly welcome him even as he butted heads with that ABAS guy…
Whatever happened to him anyway? He wondered.
She’d made a mistake not long after, but Liek had managed to make enough of an impact on her to set her straight. It had just been an innocent crush for him then. And while he’d had hope for more back then he hadn’t confident in anything happening, after all, Opherla had been so gorgeous. It made no sense to the boy that she wasn’t already spoken for.
Then Callion’s warning had arrived, barely days after Liek had left the forest. The boy could barely wrap his head around the idea of people destroying cities with their power at the time, and suddenly he was thrust into a conflict with someone able to destroy entire worlds? To say he’d been terrified would be an understatement…
Then Callion decided to try and force out his Super Saiyan power by threatening his Grandmother’s soul, setting ablaze any bridge between them that could still be built before it was even finished. He’d forced the boy to awaken the long dormant Demon Within, which he was far from ready to handle. It have been one thing if that was a door that could be closed again, but once it was open it began to claw at Liek’s mind all the time.
And then reading his Grandmother’s letters, the ones detailing his Father’s account of how Liek came to be, it tipped him over the edge. He almost lost himself fully to the Demon, if not for Opherla’s intervention. She’d saved him from the spiralling doubt and self-destructive dysphoria, from the raging rampage the Demon Within would have unleashed. She had started the healing process that had allowed Liek to retain his sanity even after Liari took over his mind.
Through it all one thing above all had become clear to Liek, that was what he held dear, what he was truly loyal to. He’d once sworn to protect the Earth, but having learned much over the last months, having observed how the Earth treats innocent Saiyans and how it acted in the past, the double standards between their accusations about Saiyans and dismissing the actions of other humans as rogue agents all he felt was disgust. The Earth was dishonourable and didn’t deserve his loyalty and protection.
The Saiyans under Zaks had a chance. They could have reformed into an honourable people, an honourable warrior race his Fury could have competed with as equals, driving each other further as defenders. But Zaks had abdicated to Salada, based on what he’d heard from the refugees before the battle with Arctic, and she reported had a more… traditionalist viewpoint. Her Saiyans would resume the senseless genocides of the old Saiyan Empire, sure, she called them conquests, but the total annihilation of planetary species was genocide no matter the motivation. He would offer the Saiyans the chance at reformation as Fury when he revived their world… but those that refused would be deemed as doomed to extinction.
Liari… He’d find a way to erase her entirely. He didn’t know how, but some day…
And Arctic… he didn’t know how Opherla would feel about it, but the boy intended to play at being loyal to the Changeling to keep him off their trail. After all, with Earth no deserving his loyalty or protection the boy felt no guilt in doing what he had to in order to protect what did deserve his loyalty.
His loyalty lay solely with Opherla and the Fury. If Opherla wanted him to protect this world, he would. But he didn’t personally care. So long as she and his Fury survived and emerged the victors that’s all that mattered.
He looked up at Opherla and smiled warmly at her transformed state. He much preferred her red hair with amber eyes to the brown hair and blue eyes of this form, but it was still his Opherla. As she dashed forwards he met her fist with his own, in the moment right before the impact of their fists his eyes flashed red and crimson lines traced their way down from his eyes to his jawline.
If there was one benefit to Liari’s retched mind control it was that it helped unify the Demon and Saiyan parts of his mind, allowing him not only full control over this potent mixture of Saiyan potential and raw Demonic power, but it allowed him to maintain it indefinitely.

Opherla would feel even more pumped about the fight going ahead as her fist and Liek's fist clashed with a massive shockwave echoing through the training chamber as they did so, as Opherla had a wide smile on her face. It just felt so GOOD to fight like this! There was no pressure in the moment, nothing holding her or Liek back in their methods of battling, except for the fact they didn't want to outright kill one another of course, but that was beside the point. They never would kill one another when battling each other anyways, even if Liari had mind controlled one of them. The love they shared for one another was strong enough that no evil would stand between them at any point in time. That was just the nature of things when it came to Opherla and Liek: Two young adults with a love bond so strong tohave the audacity to challenge gods themselves, believing they could win.
After their initial clash, Opherla would leap back, sending a salvo of Orgone Crystals at Liek to attack him while she also moved fast enough it looked like she was attacking Liek with two clones, when in reality she was moving so fast to attack him seemingly simultaneously between three different angles, as Opherla's grin persisted while she launched her assault, expecting Liek to give her plenty of resistance as they clashed.
Opherla couldn't help but walk down memory lane as Liek was doing as well, as her mind drifted back to their first meeting. She remembered how the young man first reacted to seeing her: How flustered and shy he was to admit his feelings to her. He couldn't do it at the time, but now was much different than then. She even recalled ABAS as well... ...She wondered how ABAS was during all of this chaos.
Her mind then drifted to the confrontation with Salada. Opherla's first big mistake in trying to be Earth's defender, something Liek picked up on immediately and voiced his concerns about. It was Liek's words that truly began developing Opherla's character to what it is now, a proper beacon of hope and peace instead of one who acts as a supremacy over those beneath her. Had Liek never brought that to Opherla's attention... Opherla wondered just what she might have become had Liek not been her guiding hand during that day. It was a firm reminder to Opherla just how much Liek had affected her life, and how much she cherished him for everything he had done for her.
Without Liek, Opherla would have been incomplete. A girl still fretting over her power, an unmotivated soul who would have just cowered away while Arctic took over the world. She would have tried to escape, likely, to find her own planet to live on, to find a new life for her to start without being here as Earth needed her to be. Opherla understood that the Earth needed her. Just as the Earth needed Callion, Athren, and so many more who were still alive and kicking, ready to keep fighting the good fight and make sure the world had a generation of hope and prosperity to live in for the future.
All of this was possible because of Liek. Opherla's true love. Her anchor. Her support beam. Her center. Her source of love. Her... her everything. Liek was everything to Opherla. And she would make sure that she always stood by Liek's side at all times. Thick and thin, good and bad, beautiful and nasty, Opherla, as his betrothed, would be there for Liek every step of the way.
And that included this training session, as the trip down memory lane seemed to empower Opherla, as her strikes started to become coated in crimson energy as she swung and battled Liek, trying to push both of their limits so they could become even stronger than they could have ever dreamed of in the past!
