May looked out into space and sighed deep to herself. She had just left earth and she was already feeling down about leaving the comfort a civilized world could provide. But she had a mission she needed to complete and to focus on. "" No use whining. it will be two days before I arrive were I need to go. So best to get some shut Eye. ""

The planet was hot and Humid so she already hated it as she transversed the jungle world. If it was not for the fact that the people of this world had a temple dedicated to the tree of might she would not even be here. But she was down at the forest level searching for the hidden temple that the giant trees hid from the sky making her attempts to find in from the air failures. But she knew this was not gonna be easy and talking to the locals had only confirmed that. The temple warriors were fanatics that would kill anyone that got close to it and so the locals stayed away for good reason. All she knew it was in this Jungle.
The young Warrior stopped as her ears Twitched detecting a faint noise in the distance.. and could not help but suppress a grin. She heard drums of all things! Drums meant people and more then likely her targets... or at least some one close enough to the so called temple that could point her in the right direction.
She stealthily began to move in its direction jumping from tree top to tree top to avoid any possible sentry's or lookouts. This slowed her down a bit but it was worth it in the end as she Came to a Canyon within the forest and that surprised her. But it was good thing in the end of it all as it made it hard for the people below to look up and see her amongst the Giant trees of the jungle. They were unaware of her as they performed some Ceremony down below at the base of what she assumed to be the temple she Sought.
A smile crept up her face as she jumped down below making sure she landed without a sound near a window and darted inside the temple. The people that lived her were a cat people or resembled them anyway. They seemed to have great hearing but that mattered little as she practically flew through the temple avoiding every single member of the people that lived here. After all she could move far faster then any of them could see so how could they ever even stand a chance of stopping her.?
Deep in the Temple she Came across a chamber with a giant stone tree engulfing a world and an inscriptions down below it. "" AKMA the world eater. All bear witness to his glory."" Huh? So they worshipped the tree as a dark god? how... Primitive of them. ""As she read more of the writing she learned that the god of light that had brought the tree had headed to Fir fan. To them it was the after life. To the warrior before them it was a thriving world with a small space port. Technically they were own by the PTO but they act more life a free port then anything. but it did give her a direction to go with. Of course what she saw Next angered her to the core of her being.
Sacrifices of children every year in order to keep the dark god at bay and to feed it so the god that had brought it to there world the first time could eat its fruit. She had heard rumors from the other peaceful members of this species of children near the edge of the jungle would often disappear and no search party could ever find them. Now she knew why.
so engrossed in the reading she had not heard a priest come in until he started to condemn her in his language. His guards had there spears lowered in her direction she noticed when she slow turned to them. She wasn't scared... But... they would soon be. Soon the place would be Empty of all life...but before that? before that there would be a night of screams and death for there Crimes.
