Appearance
No one would suspect that a cute beetle girl would be a dangerous predator, but so be it. Being a demon, Fire Hellbeetle to top, Bibbi is short. She will grow for sure with time, but for now, she's petite and vertically challenged. Her posture barely reaches four feet, her body is very round, chubby, and curvy - not to mention fluffy. She's almost all fluff, with warm peach, cream, and brown fur. There are places where she got more fur and some spots where there are none. Her black exoskeleton is hidden under it all, showing only her hands and feet with sharp nails that she uses as a main weapon for hunt. Two pairs of arms is no laughing matter! And about weapons... Her cute mouth hides retractable mandibles that can widen her jaws while stretched out. Bibbi has lots of sharp teeth that look like something from a nightmare and she isn't afraid to use them.
Her face is round and squishy, covered with soft fuzz. The main points are big, black, beady eyes with a pair of antennas acting as eyebrows. They are fuzzy at the ends, often showing Bibbi's mood. Her peach hair is short and curly, and there is a fluffy mane or ruffle all around her neck. She's not keen on wearing clothes, but since she's young and her exoskeleton isn't as hard as a diamond yet, she's wearing a leather bodice, made of the skin of a lava demon. And as a beetle, of course, she possesses a shell - though the shell and wings are made of energy, normally smaller and softer, so they don't obstruct any movements. Her wings are those of a beetle of course, big, yellow, half-transparent, and buzzing as she flies. When Bibbi gathers her energy, the fiery core of her demon self starts to heat up. Glow can be seen through the cracks of the exoskeleton, lighting up the fuzz from within with an orange, full of sparks gleam.
Personality
Feral. Wild. Hungry. Not in an aggressive, destructive way, no. Bibbi is a cute, easy-going, bubbly soul but her mind and view of the world are pretty simplistic. She's easily entertained and curious beetle, not knowing what terms like personal space or shame mean. Thoughts too deep confuse her and she's the most content hunting for food or watching the clouds roll by. Of course, she has a sense of belonging and loyalty to her family but other than that, the instincts that are guiding her through life are closer to those of a beast than a human. She's a demon, it shouldn't be so weird... Eat or be eaten. Kill or be killed. All the complicated morals and highs and downs of society are lost on her, she's seeing the world in terms of food, nest, and family. Strictly. Philosophy is going to make her head hurt and politics... What are those a type of food?
Killing and devouring. In her mind it's a natural thing, the order that won't ever be destroyed. If she's hungry and she defeats someone, she will eat them - and if she happens to fail, there be no hard feelings if she ends up as someone's meal. That's how it is in this world. All the creatures eat themselves, even different families of Hellbeetles do - so it won't be bad if she eats a human, right? For Bibbi there is no difference between a man, a Saiyan, or a demon. If she's hungry, she hunts for her meal. Not for malicious reasons, not to cause harm, not to be spiteful. It's natural. Does a lamb blame a wolf for hunting them? Or should sharks find it cruel that after the fight the winner eats the defeated one? Well, she's a fierce huntress and will do everything in a fight - honor is just a word too, in a cruel world everyone struggles for survival. The tiniest being to live for another day will fight back.
But sometimes things get different. If she happens to fight someone and they both refuse to eat each other, maybe they could be friends - and family? She has a strong sense of bonding with those she likes, so Bibbi might consider those she takes a liking to as her family. Whether they like it or not. Because family are the creatures you keep close to you and you like them, they are not meant to be eaten - but to be treasured.
History
Bibbyana was one of many children her Mama raised in Hell. Being a Fire Hellbeetle meant that their family was enormous, and with a matriarch guiding them, Bibbi grew up with dozens of siblings. Literally, dozens. There were ones still growing up in the eggs, cute and wiggly grubs with monstrous appetites, and young beetles that were learning how to hunt. They all took care of each other, played together, and slept together. Their home was always full and buzzing and she grew up in a loving nest full of siblings. As time passed, the oldest, strongest ones would leave with their Mama's blessing, going into the world. And some new little ones would be born soon.
Mama and Bibbi's older brothers and sisters taught her how to hunt when she grew from a grub into a beetle. How to track prey, how to overpower it, and how to quickly kill it. Bibbyana was eager to learn and quickly started to show her skills, often going solo after the prey. It was all about following the scent and the marks. About staying quiet, and when the time called for it, pouncing from shadows - or fighting head-on when the opponent was worth it. Even if they saw every creature as a potential meal or not, there was a sense of respect towards them. Mama told her that eating and killing is fine, as long as she appreciates everything she gets - and won't waste food or the inedible parts of the beast that could be used for tools later. Sometimes they fight in self-defense, but even then they take care of the body of the fallen. That would be the highest disrespect shown to a living being, to kill them just for fun, leaving their flesh to rot.
So she swore she wouldn't ever do that, polishing her hunting skills under the watchful eyes of her family. From fluffy skins, they made beds, and from dry bones, Bibbi crafted dice and toys for her little siblings. What they couldn't eat - and their maws could chew through a lot - was always used for something. The very scarce bits that couldn't be found of any use were scattered around Hell, to be a bait for other beasts or to fertilize hellish flora. That was the cycle, that was how the natural order of Hell worked.
Years passed, and Bibbi was growing. Each time her hunt was successful she was proud and happy, wondering how long it would take for her to become an adult. She waited patiently but couldn't hold her excitement at the thought of seeing other places, hunting new beasts, meeting new people... Mama was the one picking the right time for her offspring. Those who were strong enough were allowed to leave, the others stayed behind under her care, still learning. Bibbi hugged each of her brothers and sisters who were going into the world, bidding them farewell. Maybe they will meet somewhere, maybe not... Who knew? The little demoness was awaiting the moment when she'd be in their place. She waited so eagerly for this day.
When she'd be finally able to leave her family's nest.
Techniques
[B1OT1] Scorching Strikes - Bibbi has hands. Four of them, in fact, and with her legs it gives her six limbs - that knows how to hit to make it hurt. With the energy focused, her body heats up to the point of making her fists and feet scorching hot, contact with them easily leaves a burned mark, charring flesh in an instant.
[OT1] Bloody Outburst - Giving in to her instinct, the demoness readies her needle teeth, her wide jaw, and her sharp nails. She jumps at her opponent, attacking relentlessly without a break. It's a frenzy of scratching, cutting, and biting that is supposed to cause as much damage - and fear - as possible.
[DT1] Chafer Roar - This defensive move makes Bibbi inhale air sharply, heat it in her lungs, and exhale it while roaring. It's not exactly a roar, more like a buzzing, half-squeaking growl. The sound, steam, and vibration are so strong though that she's able to block an incoming attack this way, pushing her enemies back.
[ST1] Heat Generation - A signature skill of her race. Each Fire Hellbeetle is born with the ability to heat their core at will, their life energy being no different from the flame. Bibbi can turn herself into a walking, scorching beetle, high temperature coursing through her body like boiling blood. She makes for a perfect heater.
[ST1] Beetle Wings - What's more to say? Bibbi has this shell on her back that when infused with energy, hardens, grows, and sprouts from under it a pair of half-translucent, yellowish beetle wings that allow her to fly with a low buzzing sound.
Roleplay Sample
The scorching, cracked ground of the Hell trembled when the beast finally fell. Their twisted, mangled body, full of bleeding cuts and still steaming burns finally gave in. It was a long hunt and an even battle, the one with cracked bones and ripped of tusks. Alas, the monster was slain. Bibbi exhaled the air loudly, falling to the ground... Done. Finally~! Right away she pulled herself into a sitting position, excited. Her hands were brushing against her fur, the leather bodice, and parts of her shell. There were some bruises under the fuzz and scratches but all the blood splattered on her was not her own. The fight was longer than she expected but finally, she had killed a hellish boar all on her own! And she wasn't even that tired! Jumping back on her feet, the beetle demon grabbed one of the hooves, pulling her prey with her home.
Humming happily, Bibbi was going back to the nest, to the gigantic, hidden cave system that their family had made into their den. She passed Needle Mountain, revealing her wings and with a silent buzz rosing into the air to avoid the blood river below her. The body of a boar, almost twenty times bigger than her, was lifted with ease. Way home was long but it was worth a tasty meal that she was going to present to everyone. Smiling to herself, she decided to fly through the rest of the trip to come back as soon as possible. They were waiting and they were starving!
When she finally reached the cave, it was time for dinner. Placing her prey in front of the shelter, Bibbi landed swiftly and ran towards the opening.
"I'm home~!" She poked her head through the entrance, smiling happily. Two of her hands were trying to tidy up the blood on her fur while the other pair was gesturing outside. "I got us dinner! It's a biiig demon boar, eat up everyone~!" Bibbi stood up proudly, calling her family for a meal she prepared herself. There was nothing else that would make her happier than being recognized as someone who could provide for them - and she was the oldest right now! Well, almost.
"Wow, really?", someone said, and more voices followed, "Sis, you're the best!", "I don't like boars that much...", "Stop whining!" added other siblings. "I'm so hungry..." mumbled one of the little ones. Dozens of shapes started to move and walked out of the nest. Hellbeetles came out - those smaller, younger than her with softer shells, or those almost as big as her, they all smiled at their sister and waved. Some ran up for a hug and a bit of nuzzling before they focused on the meal. Grubs followed suit, crawling on their thin legs, pale, chonky, wiggling on the sides as they raced to reach the dinner. Within moments, they all started to tear fresh meat piece by piece from the body, cooking it up with their heat or eating it raw, depending on preferences. Blood and pieces of flesh splattered around - their kind was known for being messy eaters but Bibbi put all four of her hands on her hips and nodded with content. They all needed to eat well to grow big and strong!
"Good work with the hunt today, child," a feminine, hoarse voice could be heard from the shadows of the cave, the gleam of heat lit up the darkness. The owner sounded proud and pleased with her achievement, which made Bibbi instantly perk up.
"Mama!" the little demon bounced on the ground, looking at her with affection, running towards the corner of the cave. An enormous demoness was sitting there, half-laying on the bed made of skins of wild beasts. A Fire Hellbeetle matriarch was a beautiful creature, measuring above fifteen feet in height, powerful, striking and what's more, loving. With each breath, the fire core of her was shining bright light through her fuzzy body. Bibbi climbed on her lap, nuzzling against her hand. Mama's finger stroked her head, softly brushing aside her curly hair and antennas. "I did good, didn't I?" she beamed, mandibles poking out of her smile as she cuddled into the palm of her mother's hand. A low, buzzing squeak escaped her chest as she happily closed her eyes in her parent's embrace.
"You can hunt very well Bibbyana," Mama smiled at her fondly, praising her skills. "You're strong and fast and your fire burns bright," she leaned, kissing her head. Her daughter giggled, and the older demon's face softened, black eyes were gazing at her thoughtfully. For a long moment, Mama was thinking about something, her smile turning more melancholic. She looked at Bibbi. "My pride and joy, my little fierce huntress... I think you've grown enough."
Bibbi's antennas lit up with heat once she heard those words, her eyes looking up at her mother's face in anticipation and wonder.
"Is it time... Mama?" her voice was full of joy.
"It is, my child," she lovingly stroked her head again. "You are free to go, to make a place of your own." The demoness scoped Bibbi gently in her hands, to take a better look at her offspring. "Remember to eat well and sleep well, and when you'd find such a place... You're going to have a family of your own, one day," a warm smile lit her face, proud and satisfied, though a hint of melancholy was still visible. There was no greater joy for a parent to have strong children but to see them go was the natural order of things. Didn't mean it was any less sad. "Family, by blood or chosen by you, is something sacred. You care for those you bond with like they are your blood siblings, you care for your offspring until they are strong enough to survive on their own. You protect your partner faithfully," Mama's voice turned more serious, as she was teaching her daughter one last important lesson. "And if anyone dares to harm your family, or worse, they are brazen enough to think of betrayal..." The flame bursting through her black eyes made them gleam with ruby red hue. Her firey core was blazing, heat leaking through the lines of her body, sizzling on the contact with the air. Mama opened her steaming mouth, mandibles stretching out and making her jaw open inhumanly wide to show the rows of nightmarish, sharp needle-like teeth. "Eat. Them," she growled and the cave started trembling.
"D̶͓̳̞̆͆̉̅́̀̀͑Ȩ̶̡̯̪̤͕̜͙̊͐̔͌͂͗̇͘V̴̖̗̞͖͎̟̆͑̆̆O̴̡͚̲̝̣̭̱͍̍̋͝Ú̴̞̻̙̻̾́R̵͔̱̤̻̚ ̷̣̦͓̦͇͈̃͊̄̆̚E̷̡̛̛̝͈͂̈́͂̔͛̊V̶̡̩̉́̃̎̈́͌̓̈͜E̵̳͎͎͈̦̰̝͘ͅR̷̢̒̓͗̍̈Y̴̧͖̼̽͐̈́̓̍̂̎͘T̵̰̹̯̟͍̥͇͓̓̄̀̓̀̀͘H̷̨͚͓͉̅̑̎̅͆́͝I̴̦̻̩̋ͅŇ̴̛͈̤̼͔͗̈́̊͘͝͠G̶͍̬͘,̵̢̦̜̫̉̀̄͐̈́̕ͅ ̵̞̖͈̥̍̊̅̿͐͜͠S̴̜͇͍͖̰̱͌͑͂͝K̷̨̡̨̛̬̝̼̙̰̉̆̀͆̍̒͠Ì̵̛̥̩̳́̍̾͌͑̚Ṋ̸̮͓̻̲̩͓͌̒̾͂͘͠,̷̛̱̙͓͖͚̬̀̅̾̀ͅͅ ̴̡̛͖͙͐͑̓̃͠͠F̷̞͔̅̀̏̓̏͐̚Ļ̵̞͓̃͝E̷̡̺̝̘̋̊͗́̒̽͜͝Ș̶̢̣̥̗͚͊͗̅̅̄̎̚H̶̡̢̨͍̙̖̟̅ͅ,̸̻̝̣͖́̈́̽ ̸̨̨͎͖̳͈̯͓͒̆̊̆̉̚B̶̢͒̏̄̾͂͌Ǫ̷̳̙̗̽͌͒̚N̵̨̫̥̹̭̓̿̈̔̃͝Ȇ̶̫̰̗̝͐̈̅̕,̸͎͍̦͙̊͜͜͜" Mama roared with a primal rage echoing through her every word, touching the abyss of the hunter's hunger and madness within.
"Like you Papa?" Bibbi chuckled, not one bit taken aback by her mother's demonic face.
"Yes, my child," demoness smiled, her presence was back to normal already, though steam was escaping her mouth with every word. She gently kissed the top of her head and placed her on the ground by her side. "I wish you good luck. And if anything were to happen, you will always have a place here, Bibbyana."
Bibbi jumped in for one last embrace, cuddling to her mother lovingly - it took her a moment to let go. She loved her dearly... But she was ready, she was awaiting this day eagerly - the day when Mama would tell her that she was a proper adult who could take care of herself.
After a tearful goodbye with all her siblings, and lots of hugs and kisses, she told the second oldest that it was now their time to learn the most of what Mama had to teach them. Just like she did and others did before her. That's how it was... So with her head high, Bibbi left, venturing into Hell, deeper and deeper.
But Hell wasn't fun if she knew almost everything about this place, right?
The portal to the Living World it was! One, two, three - and she made an opening in space, jumped through, and here she was!
Well, where was here? The place Bibbi landed was... Almost like home. Lots of rocks, tall and wide, creating structures and paths that twisted in the most devious ways. Not many plants around but she could tell there was prey nearby. And the caves would be a nostalgic but very comfy place to make her first shelter.
Then she heard a weird noise that reminded her of someone knocking onto the rocks... Or poking them? Confused, Bibbi's antennas twitched, but the sound somehow switched into heavy steps.
Turning her head back, she noticed a person... A human? Sniffling the air, she realized that it was indeed a human, nice and juicy with a lot of meat under those tight clothing and weird leathery straps. They were holding weird sharp objects and their waist was tied with a rope for some reason. Curious! Was that clothes? Bibbi didn't like clothes but Mama told her that she should wear the leather bodice until her natural armor won't harden under the fuzz. Anyway, the clothes weren't that tasty... But there was a lot of flesh under them. And she was just getting hungry!
The sharpened nails on her fingers curled and Bibbi opened her mouth, showing off how her mandibles and teeth were similar to her Mama's. She leaned down, onto the ground like a predator waiting to strike, hissing. The human started to panic - she had to act quickly. Prey that fights back is predictable but the one that panics can run straight into the river. Pouncing onto their chest, all four of her hands dug into their shoulders, and opening her jaws wide, she went straight for the neck. The blood was hot and tasty and the screaming just, well, stopped. The body in her grip went limp and she let go in surprise.
"What, already?" Bibbi stood up and looked down at the prey under her feet. Ichor was covering all of her chin and the fluff around her neck, dripping onto her chest. She licked the corners of her mouth with a long, brown tongue. Fascinated, she crouched down and started poking the head of the human, but nothing happened. They didn't react. "Oww..." She mumbled, her antennas dropping. Yes, the human was dead. Almost too easily... Well, it meant that at least she wouldn't get hungry so soon if they were so easy to hunt. That was the most important thing that she needed to know. Food was very important.
Ripping out the human leg from the rest of the body, Bibbi sat on the ground. Peeling out clothes, leather, and left shoe, she was going to have a little feast. Now it was time for a meal and then the demoness will have to look around for a place for her nest. This spot wasn't half bad anyway... The heat rushed through her hands, scorching the meat she was holding. The energy was making her food sizzle nicely, roasting it to her liking.
Medium rare, of course.
