The tropical islands of earth were the first place Kamae had come into this new sphere of creation, his rebirth if one will. He hadn't accomplished much beyond failure and even now as he held the rotten tree fruit, he supposed he didn't have much else to do but wait. His majin mark had been concealed during his time on his station thanks to magic and technology, but now he was out in the open. He wasn't hiding, nor did he pretend this wouldn't draw her attention... He supposed in some ways he was... going to bait her into giving him what he wanted.
So just like before, he stood out in the open like before, but instead of defiance he could only offer defeat. He had failed to conquer namek from Artic and had ultimately aided him. Now Liari would know the truth of this upon coming into contact with the demon, he didn't hide his thoughts from his master. He was simply tired from the struggles that lead to failure. The price he got was a rotten fruit, a decaying body and a master who was probably going to kill him. When stacked all together even a being of willpower was growing weary of the struggle. Yet even so... he supposed this was a fun little way to go out.
His thoughts drifted back to everything he had done up to this point, and frankly he was quite impressed he had made it this far. But a rat in the shadows of the galaxy was not a fitting role for the demon. He would die here, but doing so in some manner of pride in his own way. He had suffered a lot, but that meant nothing when ones struggles did not bear fruit... and Kamae's bore rotten fruit.

After all this time, the silence, the anticipation, Liari had finally obtained a status update from Kamae... And it wasn't good. He failed to get the fruit she wanted, he FAILED to conquer Namek, he went as far as to AID Arctic and now he had the GALL to come back and face her!? ...She had to admit, that was impressive. She couldn't imagine many others would have done the same thing after such a MONUMENTAL series of screw-ups and that, if ONLY that, could be respected. Liari phased out of cubes as she appeared behind the demon, the two overlooking the beaches of the Southern Islands. It was a pretty enough sight, Liari supposed. Had he chosen this meeting place because it held some kind of significance to him? Maybe he thought she'd kill him... and MAYBE that had even crossed her mind. In the initial moment of rage, the Majin thought of FLATTENING Kamae so thoroughly, the only thing that'd be left of him is a demonic TAR PIT. The thought had even provided her a moment of pleasure, knowing that at least THIS, Kamae was capable of fulfilling.
...She still might.
"So. You failed." Liari muttered, walking right up behind Kamae. "I gave you power. I gave you a purpose... and ALL I asked was for you to do this teensy, tiny little favor for me... and you couldn't even do that." Her words dripped not with only restrained anger and frustration... but also disappointment. Kamae had SO much potential, even SHE could see that... but it was all for naught in the end, anyway. Either she had given him FAR too much freedom and he'd abused that trust... Or something very big and VERY familiar had gotten in his way. Either way, the Majin stared at Kamae harshly, her arms folded tightly against her chest.
"I should kill you, you know." Liari muttered, her words suddenly growing sharp! "...After all of that, after how much I invested in you, Kamae... I TRUSTED you with something SO..." She pinched her fingers together in front of his face as if to make her point tangible. "...so SIMPLE. What about getting a SEED and taking over a backwater planet was too hard for you!? You could fight SUPER SAIYANS if you tried!" Liari took a step back and took in a DEEEP breath... She had to get herself under control before her explosive temper made a mistake she couldn't fix easily.
"...Explain to me WHY I shouldn't nail you to the wall. Literally." Liari muttered, her voice low and grave. "...Please, give me one reason so I don't have to pop your head like a grape."

"I had made a grave mistake in my inability to sense ki."
Kamae stated, staring out over the vast ocean that lay before him, as it didn't matter if he faced his death or died with his back turned. Death was death in the end, he had come here knowing full well he was about to die. Who did all that he had done and not die?
"I could not sense the danger I had assisted in until he consumed the fruit. I took the fruit in hopes it could be turned into a seed... My intentions whether though success or failure matter little, only the results. I planned for Artic to grow stronger and for you to consume him... to gain his powers."
This was the truth, but Artic had grown far beyond even the demons expectations. Kamae had unintentionally created an obstacle for Liari as he didn't understand her at all. All majins before this had been utter weaklings, and he had learned his healing and regenerative powers from her species.
"When I was brought into this world, I lost all my strength and more... I got it back and more. Never before have I been this strong..."
Kamae turned to Liari thrn facing her full on, but despite his mistakes... He had genuinely tried to serve his master faithfully, he had just fucked up because he had been sent into the world under prepared. Now he was here to die for it.
"But Your universe is far beyond my original. You are beyond anything I have ever encountered, and artic... Well as I stated before, Everything that had transpired was in an effort to bolster you."
Kamae hated Liari, but her magic worked its wonders. He had served her as faithfully as he could, killed his own minions in her name and now he was the USD president. She had every secret he had to offer, and he was not hiding his past. Despite his hate... he knew that Liari had made him stronger and some part of him was grateful to her. But that only got him so far, he was alone... utterly and the only person he had was Liari who barely interacted with him. Yet those were excuses, and the demon awaited punishment.
"I have failed. I created an enemy who may kill you, I couldn't stop namek from exploding even if I tried and... Frankly its insulting that I even brought the rotten fruit but it is all I have to offer the truth. I did not betray you master... But I do not expect mercy."
Kamae then fell silent, eyes half lidded as he waited patiently for the majin to do her worst. He held the rotten fruit in his hand, its purple miasma flowing from it as the demon returned his gaze to it. In truth... Kamae had hoped to earn Liari's favor, but nothing had panned out. He had failed utterly.

"What makes you think we're interested in your excuses!?" Liari snapped, more than dissatisfied with Kamae's recounting of events! She didn't NEED to know where everything went wrong for him! She didn't ask for it! She wanted a reason not to FLAY his soul from his wretched inky body and the best he could do was say "he underestimated the problem" and that he was trying to HELP!? Liari walked around so that she was right in front of Kamae, putting her face mere inches from his. Liari's eyes reflected not only the ANGER she had at Kamae's decisions, not only RAGE that her plans were thwarted, but disappointment as well that he had betrayed her trust. LITERALLY, he created a monster, BLEW UP A PLANET effectively, and came wandering back here to... what? Grovel for punishment!? It was PATHETIC! The Majin would have been DISGUSTED with Kamae had she not been so disappointed in his foolish judgement. For all of his proclamations of him being an ancient being, for all of the vibes of smugness, superiority, and ancient knowledge he put off, he couldn't do something as simple as FOLLOW BLOODY INSTRUCTIONS!
"I trusted you, you know." Liari muttered. "If you needed help, you should have said something. You SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR IT AND I WOULD HAVE HELPED I... Bah." Without another word, she reached out and tapped Kamae's forehead with her pointer and middle fingers. Suddenly, Kamae would feel Liari's presence in his mind slip away, the 'M' on his bangs disappear in an instant. His power would drop by a good chunk as Liari left him from within and without, reducing the demon down to a much lesser, aimless state!
"I took away your Majin Sigil." Liari declared, stepping back from him. "You had EVERY chance to do something else, to make another sensible decision, and you chose to make the WORST ONE EVERY TIME! Get out of my sight... I don't want to see you again." She then turned her back... before WHIRLING AROUND AND SWINGING HER FIST UP TO SLAM INTO HIS STOMACH! Liari would drill her knuckles up into Kamae's body as deep as she could grind them, causing as much pain to the creature as she thought he could bare!
"I hope this hurts..." Liari muttered, resisting every urge to BLOW Kamae up from the inside! "...Because maybe it'll give you an idea of how much your FAILURE hurt me." She then grabbed Kamae's unmarked head with her hand and THREW hima way from herself, the Majin once more turning away... hiding the wetness in her eyes. Failed plans were one thing... the utter disobedience and SICKENINGLY POOR JUDGEMENT was a stab in the heart. That kind of trust... would be hard to muster again.

Kamae was dreadfully confused, as he didn't understand his master's words. She removed his majin mark, and he felt his powers melt away. The demons eyes seemed to dilate as his mind returned to normal, and the shock on his face. He had no idea how to respond, nor did he know how to react when the majin punched him in the stomach. Was she feeling betrayal? He could sense it with his eldritch vision, his eyes narrowing as he tried to understand.
"You..."
Then being thrown away into the dirt, the demon stared in disbelief at the floor. Wait, had Liari mind controlled him to help him? What was this nonsense!? She had tricked him during their combat training and snared him like a rabbit in a trap. Now she was pretending to be disappointed and betrayed. He could only stare at the ground in utter disbelief as rage boiled in his blood, his face soon twisting into one of absolute fury, as he stood up slowly he feelt sick to his stomach at her words.
"Are you... insane? Yes you must be. Aye I must be as well."
Kamae clutched the side of his head as he tried to process what he just heard. His master, the woman who had threatened to devour him and remove everything about himself... was playing a victim card after mushing around in his brain?
"I think... maybe You broke me pretty good."
Kamae turned slowly, eyes wide with a maniac look, but he supposed she was right. He should have come crawling back to look like a dog to someone who beats him to death. Kamae held out a hand then, uncaring if he was about to die any longer. Above Liari, Kamae summoned a large sum of medieval weapons, to which he unleashed upon his former master. The area about them peppered in a barrage of weapons that were aiming to skewer her and hurt her, this was a futile effort but the demon didn't care. Artic had taken his pride, Liari had forsaken him to namek and now she was mental enough to believe he had hurt her.

"'Broke you?' What a fool." Liari huffed, still not turning to face Kamae. "You wanted everything I gave you, didn't you? I remember you laughing and cheering as you overflowed with MY power. You were happy... and then were all-too-happy to take what I gave you and failed with it. Just like you're failing now." Liari spoke that last sentence as a million weapons all conceivable shapes, sizes, and types rained down upon her, the Majin merely SWINGING her arm in a backhand in his direction and sending them all SCATTERING with a gust of demonic magical wind! It would be then that she would turn to face the demon, his phycology seemingly unraveling! It kinda reminded her of Ayu except in reverse, unable to handle the loss of power, of identity, of PURPOSE and, as a result, coming apart because of it. She stared at Kamae with only the slightest bit of pity in her gaze. If all he could think of was to try and HURT her for punishing HIM, he really was a worthless creature, no matter how old he was.
"Is this really your response to YOUR own mistakes?" Liari scoffed, disgusted with his behavior. "I'm taking back what's mine because YOU kept using it poorly and YOU think to attack ME!? Have you lost your mind?" She would then extend a finger, firing a golden beam SO DENSE, it would shoot just under Kamae's ear-lobe, DRILLING into the ground so deep, if one could see it's end... they would see only the sky on the opposite end of the planet. Kamae might not even see the blast at all until it had its way with the planet, a hole glassed with dimension-severing ki warping the substance into something completely unidentifiable. She would then step up to them demon, almost daring him to take another shot.
"You're still WEAKER than me, you idiot. What did you think those little toothpicks of yours would do? HELL, what did you think HITTING me with it would do? You can't hurt me worse than I can heal from. I can TELEPORT. I can twist that little black, slimy heart of yours into a licorice stick if I wanted to. I AM POWER, Kamae. ...But what are you?" She jabbed a finger under his nose. "...A Failure. A TRAITOR. A liar by omission. Incompetent, foolish, useless. Useless. USELESS." Her finger would suddenly curl inwards to create a completed fist, the Majin STRIKING his nose in a lightning-fast jab!
"You could have had it ALL if you just did ONLY what I told you, but nooooooooo. Your stupid pride got in the way AGAIN. It failed you against ME, it failed you WORKING for me. What have we learned? YOU'RE A FAILURE and its ALL. YOUR. FAULT." Her anger began to blossom genuinely, her aura starting to flare up in tandem with her rising temper! "I can't believe you, you scheming sack of tar. After all of this, after ALL I gave you... you're going to strike at ME? WHAT A JOKE!" She laughed harshly as she SWUNG her leg low, aiming to STRIKE Kamae's kneecaps and either break them... or knock his legs out from under him. Either way, he'd be on his knees... where he should be.

Kamae would have kept attacking Liari if she had not hit his legs, but thankfully the demon's training had paid off. If only in that his legs did not break, but he did fall to his knees clutching them in pain. He was trying to understand Liari, Kamae was evil by nature, a liar by nature and violent by nature. Liari seemed almost... the opposite. As if she was trying to care for Kamae in her own strange way? What the hells was even happening?
"I hated you, and never made it seem otherwise... And you were all to happy to send me to a back water planet to rot. Come to you for aid... bah. You were to busy with your little new 'pet'. Aye, I sensed your fondness for that creature."
Kamae spat the last bit, but he supposed... he didn't give Liari much choice in the matter. His form of love was to hate something so deeply he wanted to destroy it, and Liari... She seemed to hold a different view point. But regardless, Kamae lowered his gaze then, humilated and silent as he thought about his failures. It mattered little he supposed. Liari was dead set on forsaking the demon and so, slowly getting to his feet. Kamae said nothing as he simply put his hands behind his back as he always did, and said nothing.
What more was there to say? If he spoke up more, death was sure to follow... if he attacked he would be defeated within moments and killed. But did he truly care anymore? He had lost his pride and he was just as mass of flesh now in his own eyes. Humiliated by the two greatest powers in the galaxy, what more could he do? His new found freedom was wonderful, he didn't fear his eventual death at the hands of his master, but this humiliations were far to much for him to bear. Still the demon remained stoic while he looked the majin in the eyes, hate radiating in the burning yellow eyes. But he said nothing else. She had taken everything from him, his plans, his sanity and twisted him into a knot he couldn't untie from.
He felt a twitch in the back of his mind, his brain feeling an itch in the back of it. It was but for a moment, but the demon quickly brushed it aside.

"Oh, please. Stop WHINING, already." Liari scoffed, waving away Kamae's accusations and proclamations of hatred. "You knew EXACTLY what you signed up for when I gave you that power. Hell, you knew what it was when you HAD IT. Tell me, how often did I FORCE you to do anything? How often did I twist your arm or have strict oversight over your behavior, Kamae?" The Demon fell to the ground clutching his... surprisingly unbroken knees after the Majin had kicked them, showing a remarkable level of resilience she hadn't expected from her minion. Did he get stronger while out in space? Huh... maybe she SHOULD have been keeping an eye on him more closely... "I gave you an OBJECTIVE: Find a seed... and conquer NAMEK. Believe it or not, the fruits from that seed would have been for YOU, Kamae. I wanted YOU to get stronger! Look into MY eyes and tell me I'm a liar."
...Well, he certainly looked into her and Liari let him. She felt him root around in her mind touch around in places... he wasn't supposed to! Before she could shut him out, Kamae had already slithered out, remarking how she WOULDN'T have helped him because she was too busy helping someone else, someone he dubbed her "pet." Liari felt a PANG of offense jerk through her with the disrespect Kamae referred to ABAS with. "Pet...?" NO! She was her friend, her PROJECT at worst! She wanted him to be his OWN person, free of control! That was the POINT! Whether it was her DNA or the fact they thought so much alike, Liari... cared about him more than she cared about some others, even her minions... and she WOULDN'T have that relationship be disrespected so flippantly! Liari quickly hid moment of outrage behind a stony frown, her eyes frosting over into a cold, flat silver.
"What, are you jealous, Kamae? Seriously? YOU!?" Liari asked, almost incredulous. "You were so PRIDEFUL about being different from us mortals. YOU thought you were SOOOOOOO special and because I was busy helping someone other than YOU, you're getting JEALOUS over it!? I... I genuinely don't get you at all." She shook her head and shrugged her shoulders. "Believe it or not, I thought I LIKED you, Kamae. You were an eldritch MESS not unlike myself. I could relate to you... a BIT. ...But you're arrogant and you're STUPID. You thought you were better than ME, even as I granted you power, power I can take away like..." She snapped her fingers. "...that. I gave you stupid-easy tasks and even was willing to HELP but you had to do things your own stupid-way. Don't go putting this on me because YOU screwed up."

Kamae was infuriated but he said nothing more, stoic as he contemplated his meaning in all of this. His purpose in this degradation, but her words rang half true in his mind. He saw them both at fault, but more than anything else... Purpose he had come to learn his schemes meant nothing and she had proven that numerous times in her encounters with Kamae. The demon had only done what he had believed best at the time, and he growled his frustrations.
"And you stripped me of that on the various occurrences we met. Degrading my pride until I was submissive enough to take control. Aye it was for me, but it was for you more so. But blame casting will do us no good... Though You are right. I failed myself, in more ways than one."
Kamae was a coward, that was always known to himself and now to Liari... She had pushed the demon to cower for his life. His grand displays of power hide a small insignificant man who's only claim to fame was his long life... Gritting his teeth the demon was coming to terms with his own insignificance in the galaxy at large. Where once he had been a primal threat... now he was nothing more than a slug crawling across the ground in despair. But he remained silent. Blame shifting was getting him no where. Instead the demon closed his eyes as he considered his situation. The calm mind of the demon as he contemplated everything.
"Enough. Kill me or leave me. I have much... to think upon in this life or the next."
Kamae sighed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, he had never been a warrior before. He had always been the schemer but now... now this was going beyond anything Kamae had prepared for. He had always schemed with tyrants of lesser... powers. Now he was contenting with new and all powerful entities. No longer could Kamae deny he was just another demon amongst many. In this land, he was just a single no one. But he was alive... however could he consider this living? Cowering in a corner from all powerful foes and scurrying about in the dark? What did he truly have to lose anymore now that he had accomplished his goals?
The light in Kamae's eyes were dim, his mind far from the current situation as he thought about all he had accomplished... and all his failures. Did his schemes amount to much? Did his prancing about through the void between creation only make him weaker? What was the problem he had? All of this questions but the real answer was his lack of discipline... He was tolerant of pain, and had the will to life, but his discipline when faced with death was... sorely lacking. He cared to much about his own life and that had ultimately lead him to where he was now.
Placing a hand to his face, the demon was coming to terms with his delusions and how little he had become now that he was in a new realm. Sure he had grown stronger but he was still as weak as ever. Slowly Kamae began to walk away as he rubbed his temples with his thumb and index finger, his free hand waving before him to open a portal to the void between realms. It was clear Kamae was going to leave if not interrupted, his thoughts preoccupied now that he was experiencing a sort of Ego Death. His understanding of himself and his dissection of his own meaning.

If Liari were in a manga, that angry symbol would be floating just above her right eye right now. Who was HE to command her!? Obviously he didn't care about his life anymore, dishing out commands and options like he had any right to offer them! Liari stared at the demon, her eyes borrowing holes into his skull as if they were hell's drills... before she let out a HUFF and turned away. She could have killed him right here. It would have been easy, like breaking a slimy toothpick... but what would be the point? Squashing Kamae into tar would have done nothing to satisfy her disappointment nor teach the demon a valuable lesson in failure... or at least, one he hadn't already learned. Hell, she might've done him a favor, spending months alone in the afterlife gathering his ego back.
...No. The only fitting thing to do was to let him live. Who knows? Maybe he'd grow more powerful, more evil, and come looking for revenge. And if he failed her again...? Well... the third time's the charm... She knew her way around his mind now, anyway. What were the odds he'd learn to keep her out?
"Fine. You can live!" Liari declared, glancing over her shoulder at the defeated demon. "What would I get out of killing you, anyway? It's not like you'd learn from it." She would, however, shoot a quick eye-beam at the demon, a thin pink thread-like-line cutting at Kamae's chest, leaving behind an "M" shaped scar in the middle, right below his collar-bones! "...But there's a little going-away present. Toodles, little failure."
...And then she would dissolve, smiling evilly and sticking out her tongue at the failed servant... before that too faded away.
EXIT???
