Kamae had been away from proper civilization for some time, people on the streets going about their business. If not for Artic's insistence, the demon would have simply remained in hiding. Yet here he was in broad daylight with his legs crossed on a bench while the world passed him by. Humans had not changed much and his eyes could see that even after all their struggles... none of them had managed to evolve. This species was almost... like sheep. Strange how so much death could happen to them and even after crossing the blank void between realms... He had found them to be feeble and weak not to mention their constant need for other races to protect them.
How they survived for as long as they did was beyond even Kamae's ancient knowledge. But he supposed the saiyans had a few helping hands in that. Still he was grateful that this world had not succumbed to his master yet... or his touch. He always tried to avoid earth in his schemes for the most part... But he had finished all that he had wanted, done all he could do. Namek was gone, and he was sure the scars he left on other worlds remained.
Though he was glad to be back on earth, he was constantly reminded that his master was here and it crawled under his skin. He hated this damned brand upon his head, but he could do nothing about it for now... He had been given his freedom assured. If his freedom meant he could continue his experiments... Yet what would he study anymore? He could see into the very dna strands of a living being, and every cell fiber that made up a muscle. His eyes could see flaws in the very physical structure and his magic could construct genetic fixes. He was a master mage now after all his efforts... but he was now at a point where he didn't know what else to study.
Even as people walked by, the demon simply kept his hands in his lap with his legs crossed, silently just watching. Enjoying the busy noises of life, as he had been enjoying the silence of his station to long. Now he was just enjoying the presence of other living beings.

The boy’s thoughts where a mess. While his girlfriend had helped centre and calm him, his mind was still in turmoil over the revelations that had been presented to him in his grandmother’s letters to him. He had always known he was part demon, but learning the truth of his mother had still had a significant emotional effect on the boy. It had driven him to try to push away the woman he loved! The youth was grateful that she had refused to run and had instead focused on bringing him back, helping him fight and eventually gain control of the Inner Demon within himself.
But for the first time the boy was questioning his very nature, what it meant to carry Demon blood. And not the blood of just any demon, a Demon Lord of the Demon Realm, not a common demon who traced their heritage to Hell.
Now that he was no longer trying to hide from his darker nature he could feel the urges that side pushed through his mind, the intense urges towards Opherla, the spitefulness towards his mother, the disdain for the dishonourable actions of the Earth government towards the Saiyans. But despite this he still didn’t know what it really meant to be a demon. He knew the stories and rumours, about the inherent evil that supposedly coursed through the veins of all demons.
But Liek didn’t think the urges from his demon side where inherently evil; He loved Opherla, it was only natural to desire her. His mother was the worst kind, only making him to be her weapon. Being spiteful was only natural. And the Earth government’s actions, dismissing the acts of humans as ‘lone attackers’ while painting all Saiyans with the same brush for the actions of a few, where objectively dishonourable.
It was by pure coincidence that, while pondering this dilemma about his demonic nature, that he sensed a sinister power nearby. Honing in on the source the boy decided he may as well check it out; if they may prove a problem, namely a threat to the world Opherla loved, Liek would do his best to deal with it. If not, maybe this new person could give the youth some perspective?
In a flash of emerald light the boy vanished, and in that same instant the boy appeared at the well dressed, but questionably groomed, full demon’s side. After taking a moment to look the being over the youth spoke up with a friendly tone, if he could avoid a fight then that was all the better, “I’ve not sensed you around before. I’m Liek, may I ask who you are?”

Kamae's eyes zeroed in on the new arrival and he simply smiled when he saw a new face. The boy's words told him he could sense energy but he wondered if that was how he found people of interest. He would remember that for the future, but that was not the certain of the conversation and he quickly tilted his head in a greeting. The yellow serpent eyes of Kamae watching carefully but otherwise did not move to become hostile.
"My name is Kamae. A pleasure to meet you Liek."
Kamae continued to sit with his hands in his lap while he relaxed, albeit now he had his attention on the new arrival. He could sense demonic energy from the boy and he felt a tiny bit frustrated he was looking at a half breed. His saiyan blood was dominate in his cell make up and genetics... Unfortunate that one of his kind had decided to procreate with a mortal kind but an old demon couldn't control his kinds actions... nor would he want to. Sighing as he came to the realization of what he was looking at, the demon remembered the other half breeds he had met. So many of the mixed blood... he was beginning to wonder if perhaps that was the future.
"I can sense Demon blood in you... But you are a half breed are you not?"
Kamae's eyes looked at Liek, but he didn't look AT Liek as a person. No the demon was simply looking at through him, while he relaxed on the bench.

The demonic man’s gaze was… unnerving. The boy had been looked at in a lot of ways since leaving his forest home. Love from Opherla’s eyes, that twisted mentor gaze from Callion, the grandfather gaze from Roshi, and the hate and scorn from the common populace the moment they spotted the tail wrapped around his waist. But the look this Kamae was giving him, that was something new. It was like he was looking through the boy, rather then at him.
And his voice was equally unnerving. But that Liek just chalked up to being a demon thing.
Steeling his nerve the boy nodded, “I am. It’s… something I’ve only recently started to even acknowledge.” He paused, wondering whether he should divulge more to this demon. He knew nothing about him and his energy felt all kinds of wrong. The youth was almost certain that his man was evil based on his energy alone, but accusing the man of such a thing right now would be dishonourable. For all the boy knew the demon was seeking to change his way of life and give up any evil he may have committed before.
Ultimately he decided he may as well tell some of the story, it’s not like it could be used to hurt him or those he cared about, “My mother’s side. She was a real piece of work. Apparently she wanted a tool for her bid to conquer the Demon Realm, and that tool ended up being me.” The boy shrugged and paced slightly back and forth. It was clear that though he was willing to divulge, he found it uncomfortable to speak about his mother.
After a moment he gestured towards Kamae, “What about you? What’s your story? If you don’t mind me asking?” The boy’s tone made it clear that Kamae was under no obligation to answer. If he wanted to keep his secrets then Liek would respect that.

Though the boy revealed a little, Kamae could fill in the gapes with theories. Still the Elder Demon respectfully listened to the short tale only to be asked a counter question, the demon simply smiling his toothy grin, a broken mess of teeth turning into a broken smile. He doubted Liek was interested in someone as old as he was and him to spout on and on about anything else but the basics of informaiton. That seemed to be everyone's desire, and he didn't mind it.
"I am from another realm... far far away. I'm a guest here in... This place."
Kamae gestured to his surroundings but in truth he meant the sphere of creation they inhabit, the ball that kept them from spilling out into the empty space between. But to Liek it probably seemed like he was referring to earth alone or perhaps to the mortal realm.
"I came seeking refuge from the dark and found light."
With that Kamae fell silent, not wishing to speak further on the matter at hand. Still he gestured with his hand for the boy to sit if he wished on the opposite end of the bench, away from him so that both had their space still.
"Ahh, plays for power and the never ending cycle of mortal kind. Deals made and pacts forged only for them to run rampant. It is not uncommon and good to be the one to break free. I do hope you make her suffer for her failure."
Kamae didn't care that she had tried to use her son, but rather that she had failed at all. Though he felt this way he didn't mean it in a condescending manner but rather highlighted his lack of care for the wellbeing of another person in someone elses plans. After all, he had found himself in the cogs of plans more than he cared to admit despite his intelligence.
"But its clear you do not wish to speak on your heritage. Then lets turn to another matter. Why did you approach me?"
Kamae didn't say anything else, simply falling silent as he let his new companion begin to speak up. He and Kamae were intent on not sharing information it seemed, so he guessed the next logical leap would be to find reasonings. But then again if Liek had sensed him it was probably due to his demonic nature. Kamae had original been a mortal, and he felt a tiny bit of... nurturing kinship to the younger mortals who did share their blood. But he despised the fact people were born with his earned gifts.

The boy didn’t want to judge, his experience with Demons in general was pretty much non-existent, but this guy was giving him the creeps. It was like just about everything out of the man’s mouth was somehow inherently wrong, even the most cursory examination through the Orgone Layer came up with this guy just being off somehow. Humans and Saiyans alike where like beacons in the Orgone Layer, standing out among the background noise of other life, some standing out more then others. But this guy came across more like a dead zone.
The Demon was from another realm? That could mean a lot of things depending on the meaning, and without context the man’s words didn’t narrow the meaning down from realm meaning another region of Earth or realm meaning an alternate reality. But being a guest in the world? Liek supposed he could relate to that, ever since leaving his grandmother’s valley he’d felt like he was merely a guest in a world that cared little for his well being.
“Dark and Light, huh?” Liek mused, “Not that is Dark is also Evil. Not all that is Light is Good.”
“I’m considering some poetic retribution on her.” Liek admitted, “She wanted to use me to take over the Demon Realm, so I may just do that…” He smirked, “Fitting, don’t you think? The very weapon she created being the very thing to steal her prize from her?”
“You’re right, mostly. It’s uncomfortable… I only recently learned the truth about all that.” The boy agreed with a nod, “But also awakened a curiosity.” He looked over at the older Demon, “I know basically nothing about Demons and you’re the first I’ve ever really met, let alone spoken to. I know I’m asking a lot, but would you mind teaching me a few things? Basic stuff is fine.” He held up his hands and added, “I’ll understand if you don’t want to, I am putting you on the spot here.”

The demon said nothing more for a short time as the boy spoke, listening like a gentlemen till the end while Liek told how it would be fitting for the very weapon to fulfill its job. At first the demon was surprised by the boy's words and he couldn't help but laugh out loud at the very thought of a half breed taking over the demon realm... Not out of the fact he was a half breed, but the very insult it would do to the natural borns would be devastating.
"HAHA! Aye boy, that it is. A fitting way to live."
Kamae stood up, his relaxed mind not fully kicking into drive, the demon stretching as he placed his hands on his hips.
"Sure, I have no love for the natural born demons. But you are mortal and demon both... I wouldn't mind seeing a mortal put the natural borns in their place."
With that the demon held out his hand to his mouth to cover it, the nearby masses all gripping their heads as mass mind control swept through them. Liek was far to powerful to let something so meager effect him, Kamae's control was only aimed at the walking mass of people about them. The crowd beginning to flee in terror as images of eldritch monsters begin chasing them, of loved ones desiring to maim them and so on. The horrors the people were shown encouraged fleeing and soon the streets about them were empty as Kamae ushered the masses away with his magic. His mental powers having grown beyond his mortal shell, he was able to do this without ever moving a muscle.
His eyes were his give away, glowing slightly as he finished up, creating a large empty street for them to play in... for a time. Kamae was not the strongest fighter, he was a man of science and magic. He could sense Liek was stronger than him but he had a few secrets up his sleeve should the boy betrayed him. Walking forwards to the middle of the street, while listening to any complaints Liek might of had about his methods, he took his place in the center of the street. Heels together, hands behind his back and eyes half lidded behind his hanging hair. His Majin mark glowing faintly as his magic began to kick in.
His mind was feeling awake again, his relaxation on the bench had really been nice... But it felt good to be awaking up once more.
"If you are willing to learn... I will teach you."
Kamae offered no deal, no tricks, and no deception. He was a tired old demon who was bitter and probably going to regret this later... But he wanted to see if this half breed could actually become a threat to the demon realm. He had his own goals in heaven, so why couldn't a half breed go to hell? Even after crossing the dark of the space between realms, thrashing with eldritch primordials and bartering for his life, Kamae still had that 'spite' in him to always stick it to any natural born demon he could. Kamae had struggled for eons as a mortal turned demon and he supposed if he could assist another on their journey's start... why not?

Well, the man certainly found his spiteful ambition regarding his mother amusing. Liek wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but either way the boy couldn’t help but feel a sense of vindication at the agreement the man was presenting him with. And for what it was worth, the man also seemed bitter at his own kind and found the idea of a hybrid showing them all up an amusing detail in itself. It was almost like the opposite of the rhetoric that Salada had spoken, where she had despised half-breeds this man seemed to welcome the idea of one rising to the top.
It made the boy all the more curious as to what motivated this man, though not enough to pry. Everyone had the freedom to keeping secrets, and it was their freedom to choose when to speak those secrets, if at all.
The boy watched the man curiously as he stood up and felt… something… wash over his mind, trying to twist it, but it broke against his will like a wave over a rock. Apparently the masses where not so lucky, the wave of energy sending them screaming in all directions. The youth was left wondering just what in the world just happened.
“What… what did you just do just now?” Liek asked, following behind the older Demon, “What did you do to those people.” He paused and looked around at where the crowds and dispersed and added, “But… I could feel it from the start. You’ve not got the nicest feeling to your ki. And this just now proves you’ve not been the best person… but you didn’t hurt anyone. Just scared them. I don’t know if that’s a sign you’re looking to change or not, but either way, thank you for showing restraint.”

Kamae simply snorted his regard to the thanks of the boy for sparing the helpless masses. They were nothing but flesh bags to Kamae, and he had only removed them to prevent a mess... but he wouldn't argue the point nor bring it up. Still the boy seemed well enough to learn but the final bit only made Kamae laugh out loud. The idea of turning back from this path now was absurd to Kamae, but he also knew the boy didn't know the sins that crawled up Kamae's back.
"I simply showed them the things they would flee from. Nothing more."
Kamae's magic began to flow outwards in an invisible force to the naked eye, as the world about them seemed to lose gravity. His mind releasing the nearby objects from their gravity well with his telekinesis, effectively rendering the whole street as if it was in space. Papers gently floated by, cars pumped into one another hard enough to knock tail lights out. The air growing heavy as Kamae's zone of influence expanded further, his magic domain encircling the whole street.
With a snap of his fingers it all formed into one giant ball of materials.
"heheh, no reforms for me thanks. I am far to gone for that now, and it would be insulting to the body's who lay at my feet."
Kamae was no saint, or could even remotely be considered a good person, and the smile he gave told he was happy with who he was.
"Back to the subject at hand. My morality aside, you are here for magic. I am a magi, and willing to teach. That is all that is important. Know that magic is not some... individual groups of things. It is one force turned to an objective, to create..."
With that Kamae turned the massive ball of levitating cars, mail boxes, street lamp, etc etc into weapons such as swords, halberds and axes that rained down onto the ground. The streets were completely empty save for the holes in the ground where once there had been signs or post lamps. But now before them was a street full of weapons of medieval design. The demon showing no care about anyone's possession, as he believed they were strong enough to take what they wanted.
"And it can destroy."
With that he snapped his fingers as all the swords turned to rust and began to fall into dust before their eyes. Kamae was a mage eons old, and his physical build showed this. But what he lacked in physical training, Kamae was an expert at magic.
"Creation magic... is learning how to weave it into something you want. Magic is in your blood, a force not unlike ki but you are a half breed. You are born with it. A natural affinity for it, just search your soul and find it no different than ki."
With that Kamae went silent, crossing his arms while he waited to see if the boy could muster up the basics. Even a simple fire ball required a little creation magic, and this was the very building blocks. He didn't doubt someone with ambition could grasp this, if not now, later on.

Showing them things they would flee from? That was probably something Liek could replicate with his Orgone Telepathy if he was so inclined. While evidently extremely effective the boy found the method to be crude and cruel, hardly an idea application of the powers Kamae was demonstrating. But for the time being he kept his mouth shut. No one had been harmed, and while their lives had been disrupted their freedom to live had not been taken away.
The boy watched in wonder as if the switch for gravity was seemingly switched off in the area around the two, something which did have a sliver of an effect on Liek. However, as quickly as gravity stopped effecting him the boy was instinctively in full control of his flight, stopping his rise the moment it started.
“That’s a shame.” Liek sighed with genuine sadness, “If what you say is true then we may end up fighting each other some day.” Though it was clear that the boy had no intention of starting a fight here.
Magic? The stuff of fairy tales and fantasy novels? The boy would have thought the old demon was having a jolly old troll if not for the spectacle he was seeing around him, and the fact he couldn’t sense any power that could have been doing it. He even connected to the Orgone Layer with his telepathy and saw no unusual signs there that could indicate any kind of manipulation of that energy. Whatever Kamae was doing was completely outside what Liek had seen before, leaving him with no option other then to accept this new reality: magic was real.
And he had the inherent ability to use it thanks to his demonic blood. The boy stared at the old demon for a long while as he pondered his words before looking down at his hands, “A force not unlike ki… one I can’t sense. Like Orgone… but not, something different…” He muttered mulling over what had been said, “I need to use ki to draw out Orgone from the environment, so while both can take the shape I desire the same methods won’t work will they?”
“No, I’ll need to draw from within… without tapping into my ki.” He concluded and began focusing on the problem. The boy didn’t want to destroy anything around him, but in a way he figured that was more of a shortcut for Kamae, a dramatic way to demonstrate the technique without expending too much energy. So if Liek instead focused on applying his energy on a single object he may be able to create something ex nihilo?
Focusing his mind he formed the image of the object he wanted to create in his mind, a simple knife made of a single material, iron. Nothing overly complex, simple and functional. After all, why aim for breaking sprinting records when first learning to crawl? Controlling his breathing while holding his hands out the boy redoubled his focus and tried to draw out the energy of magic. For a long while nothing seemed to happen, enough time that any other teenager may have gotten impatient and complained about it not working.
But Liek had spent ten years figuring out how to materialise Orgone, what was a few minutes doing the same for magic? And that patience paid off, after nearly thirteen minutes of trying it started working, a dull iron knife slowly forming between his hands. As it finished forming the boy caught it and looked at it in surprise, mostly had having managed to pull off the task.
The knife was crap, very ugly and utterly unfit for purpose. But the boy figured that for someone who had never done this before, and forming it without any materials to convert, this was a pretty good start all things considered. It was better then his first attempts at Energy Materialisation at least.
A proud smile on his face he held up the ugly knife for Kamae to see, “I’d say I’m off to a decent start?”

Kamae didn't know anything about this Orgone, but he brushed it away. It was not his concern and the demon had many other things to keep him occupied for the moment. But when the boy did attempt to create something, he formed a small crude knife. It was ugly but it was clearly something, and Kamae was satisfied that Liek knew how to use it. The boy was certainly strong enough ki wise, it was no surprise he picked up a magic skill easily.
"Indeed. You've grabbed the basics well enough."
With that the demon shrugged at the boys words. he doubted the two would ever fight as the demon had lost the drive to do grand evil and it was unlikely Liek would ever catch him doing anything anymore. After all, hurting people only drew people like the boy to Kamae, and the demon didn't have a desire to fight every vigilante who wished to vanquish evil... which wasn't as uncommon as one might expect.
"Hmm Perhaps but my days of tormenting the weak and conquering worlds is behind me. Unless you plan to pester an elder demon, which I highly do not recommend, I will not bother you or your precious weaklings."
Kamae huffed his response but was otherwise happy to be left alone.
"I am tired, bitter and resentful... but I harbor no desire to maim and maul, or conquer. "
Kamae stated before placing his hands behind his back while he gazed off into the distance.
"Old age perhaps but I have no desire to fight vigilante all the time."
Kamae shrugged, wondering how many fools had died by his hand because they threw themselves at Kamae in hopes of securing an glory kill for good? He was glad at least that Liek was not here to start a fight over the simple prospect of morality difference.
"But I have taught you the basics, what you do with it from here is your own choice."
Kamae waved dismissively before returning to where his bench once was, but had been forcefully uprooted by his earlier magic trick. Though this didn't mean he didn't have a place to sit, as the stone itself rose up to form a chair and he took a seat with a groan befitting an old man. The demon closing his eyes a moment and relaxing only to return to his previous position of crossing his legs and placing his hands in his lap neatly. His magic in the air soon dispelling as his mind returned to resting, his thoughts drifting idly while he watched Liek.
"Once you conquer demon realm... what next?"
Kamae asked, curious if any further thoughts were in the boy's to the after of his adventure. He was making idle conversation now, clear he was not opposed to continuing a casual conversation.

At the old demon’s confession of being disillusioned with bringing harm and torment the younger hybrid nodded, “I glad to here that. You may not be seeking redemption, but as far as I’m concerned being willing to stop doing evil is enough.” The boy explained his perspective, “Everyone has the right to choose how they live their life, in my opinion. So long as they aren’t bringing harm to others then that’s fine. But if they are then it’s my freedom to choose to intervene.”
He then laughed, “Yeah, I know. My philosophy is naive and childish.” He practised what Kamae had taught him, forming another knife, this time better looking and more quickly. Smiling at his progress he added, “But it’s part of what informs my actions.”
“If I held everyone’s past actions from before I met them against them I’d just end up tired, bitter and resentful myself.” He knew he was being slightly hypocritical with his words, since he was resenting his own mother for exactly what she did in the past. But in his defence, her actions where deeply personal.
The boy practised the materialisation a third time as the old demon made himself a new seat and took his place on it. When the old man asked the youth about his plans after taking over the Demon Realm the boy pondered for some time, long enough for a forth practice, before replying, “Honestly, right now even finding my way to the Demon Realm is a long term goal. Though I suppose rubbing the salt in my mother’s wound may be on the agenda, I may reform the Demon Realm into a place where no one ever thinks to create a child for the same reason my mother did.” He paused then looked over at the old demon before saying, “I also want to ensure the preservation of the culture and history of the Fury, especially the Furiemshinken.”
With a sweep of his arm the boy demonstrated, with a surge of ki forming an absolutely massive throne of crystal in an instant before taking a seat on it and leaning back. He knocked on the crystal and said, “This is Orgonite, formed by using Energy Materialisation to draw out and mold Orgone. It can be used to make any structure I can imagine and empower my ki attacks. It can even be controlled remotely allowing for multi-directional attacks.” The boy smiled proudly, “And I’m one of only two living people able to manipulate it.”

Kamae's eyes didn't show his surprise but whatever material Liek was referring to could be useful, yet the demon had enough of his own magic to suit his needs. He explained he could create any structure and aid in his attacks. The demon simply nodded taking the information in, but said nothing in return. The rot was enough for him, he had no need for anything else. Omni-direction attacks sounded impressive... to a 3rd dimensional creature who was stuck to one plain of existence.
"I see. It sounds impressive, and I am sure it is difficult to manage."
Kamae tilted his head in respect, and grateful for the explaination.
"Orgone sounds very useful. Guard your secrets close."
To spill anymore information wouldn't be fun for either of them, and so the demon would close his eyes before the world about him grew cold. Holding out his hand a black sphere appeared within it. A hole in their reality, like someone had punched a large pipe through the very air into a bottomless pit. From the orb began to pour the black primordial magic Kamae had come to command. Show and tell it seemed was on display.
"And I use the rot. I do not know if anyone else can use it. If they can... gods help them I am sorry."
The demon chuckled before the black sludge touched the ground, and the very concrete seemed to lose its color slightly, growing a dark grey before suddenly crumbling apart like brittle chalk. The rot was black like tar, but it held no reflection like its mirrored substance. It held chunks of what looked to be crystalline magic solidified. The ground slowly breaking apart as it broke everything down to its atomic level, and was growing as it consumed.
"Most magi in this universe will have their own forms of creative resources. I will watch with anticipation what yours manages to accomplish. reforming the demon realm, well... good luck. I have no judgement over ones goals, we each live and die by our own choices."
With that the demon twirled his wrist in a flourish as the rot coalesced into a ball of black and the black hole disappeared shortly after. The smell of rotten flesh soon filled the air as his magic settled into the reality. Its smell fitting to its name, a magic that unmakes life and breaks it down completely. The demon looked into Liek's eyes with a smile, black sclera moving at the edges of his iris to show his magic was not for the faint of heart. It was an infection.

“Yeah, it can be. It tends to explode if not handled carefully.” Liek agreed, letting the implications of the fact he was sitting on the throne of the stuff hand in the air. It probably wouldn’t take a lot of imagination for the old demon to realise the level of master and control the teenager had over Orgonite to not only create but maintain such a structure. To a less jaded or experienced mind the boys age would probably be more staggering then the control itself, but the old one had likely seen that kind of skill hundreds of times before.
“Don’t worry, it’s a well guarded secret. The only other person who can use it needed me to literally guide them through manifesting it.” Liek agreed with the old man, what he wasn’t going to tell the old man was that Volda and Basireous, the Gods of the Fury, where so intrinsically tied to the Orgone that they could literally withhold the energy from any who sought to use it. He and Opherla could only because the Gods allowed it.
The youth watched the old man’s demonstration of the rot. Such a terribly destructive power, indiscriminate in nature by Liek’s reckoning. He assumed that if Kamae chose to wield at it’s full potential he could reduce verdant forests to wastelands in minutes and level cities at a whim. The boy grew ever more glad that the older demon was tired of such things and had chosen to retire from such endeavours.
“We each live by our own choices.” Liek repeated before nodding, “I can agree to that.” The youth offered the old man a smile, “I sincerely hope we continue to make choices that avoid bringing us into conflict. But you did say you didn’t want to live that life anymore, so the chances of that are very slim.” He then chuckled, “Who knows? You may take up helping people as a form of entertainment in your retirement?” His tone made it clear he didn’t expect the old man to agree, rather he meant it as a joke. But at the same time he would be happy if the old man considered the option.

The boy had skill in manipulating a risky substance capable of exploding, and the demon could only amuse himself by the demonstration. Bold but utterly reckless, but no one was around besides Liek and Kamae. He doubted if the throne blew up they would be in danger but it was worth noting the risk none the less. He was amused more than anything by someone's willingness to sit on explosives to prove a point, but he also didn't want to make a joke given their situation.
"Take care not to set it off then."
A smile that hide the mischievous thoughts of making it explode, but Kamae remained where he was. His magic disappearing as he leaned back in his chair, taking a moment to enjoy the air of casual talk.
"Well I wouldn't say its impossible. I just taught you magic, but... I doubt my charity to assist will always be so giving."
Kamae chuckled to his own thoughts of him teaching civilians how to wield the rot and setting them on each other. Amusing for a moment before he returned to the moment.
"Which is probably a good thing."
With that the demon gave a smile befitting someone who was being genuine in their sincerity of the threat. Not at Liek but the idea of sharing his knowledge with others being something no one wants.
"You though... What about you Liek? What were you always... a protector?"
Kamae was trying to be delicate with his wording, as he didn't want to stir a fight up by his true feelings. He felt Liek was shackling himself to weaklings, and was simply wasting his potential. But to each their own for sure, yet he supposed bringing it up wouldn't hurt.
"You know, you are wasting your potential protecting something that will die from old age in your life time... You know that does bring up a very good point..."
Kamae considered for a moment the goals of the boy, not out of their naivety but simply to understand if the boy had thought about the effects of time on their lasting efforts in life.
"Let me ask you this... If you are of my kinds blood... Will you out live all that you love or will you die with the devils laughing? We can wait one hundred, two hundred years for a mortal to die. Then return to our ways, yet I think you've thought of that surely. If you do live as long as I do, how many times can you watch those you love die? How many times can you watch everything you hold dear turn to decay? Have you thought of this?"
