Personality: Lt. Brussel, like most saiyans, is a proud, skilled Saiyan Elite. Having had much experience wreaking havoc across countless worlds, he has become very adept at what he does. He can read and analyze an opponent’s fighting style, increasing his capacity for adaptability. Combat is a way of life for him, and he loves every second of it. The thrill of the fight, shattering your limits, and dominating those around you keeps his heart beating. The rush of a life-and-death situation gives him purpose, drive, and direction. He hopes to become the greatest fighter one day, the strongest in the universe.
His view of the saiyans is primarily driven by his view of strength, believing these words to be synonymous. In both mind and body. He is very proud of his race, and has an ideal version in his head that he believes all who are like him should aspire to be. This includes hybrids, as he views them as just as Saiyan as a full-blood. Because of this, a weak Saiyan is no good to him and, while he wouldn’t kill them if he came across one, he would simply see them as the rest of… the weaklings. He would be more than willing to train them to become strong, but only by request.
He is slightly more progressive compared to how things were before, when the average soldier was blind to the potential of humans, namekians, etc. As a matter of fact, due to the particular expectation that he has of the Saiyans in comparison to the rest of the races that exist in the universe, he has a great respect and admiration for those who possess great power that aren’t Saiyans. He expects those who don’t belong to a warrior race such as him to be weak-willed and weak-minded, so it is easier for them to impress him than a Saiyan would.
Brussel is very knowledgeable about the Saiyan history, due to the belief that they must never forget who they are and where they came from. He strongly disagrees with the direction the Queen is gearing them toward, feeling as though they are slowly losing their way. This role from warriors to borderline protectors will get them all extinct as they cover for the weakness of other civilizations. As a result, Brussel is a member of the Oozaru Elites, a group of Saiyans who are against her rule and wish to see her dethroned.
Brussel’s true personality comes out whenever he fights. He’s a nonstop fighting machine who will stop at practically nothing for victory. He shows A LOT of passion and excitement during this time. Outside of combat, he can seem very upbeat, and even friendly.
History:
Brussel was born on Planet Vegeta during Braccus’s rule. Entering the military at a young age, he had known not much else other than war and destruction. After rising within the ranks over time, at the age of 16 he had proven himself worthy to join Sprout’s Squadron. Sergeant Sprout, the leader, had seen the potential in Brussel and took it upon himself to take him under his wing. Sprout was slightly different in the sense that he actually went out of his way to make sure that the Saiyans would have intelligent soldiers as well, not just mindless, bloodthirsty brutes. Unlike many that were around them, Sprout had taken the time to teach Brussel about historical events such as the Great Extinction hundreds of years ago due a tyrannical Changeling, but also about the Great Rebirth, where the Saiyans had risen again. He had been taught about the Super Saiyan of legend, and how he should be trying to achieve it.
Brussel, having served in Sprout’s squadron until he reached the age of 25, he was taught a great deal of many things other than history. He learned military tactics, how to tackle different forms of combat, and how to fight in various environments from him as well. Everyone within the squad did. As Braccus and the USD began to impact Saiyan culture, he could see why. Brussel saw the King as weak-willed and easily swayed by the ideology of those who failed to understand them or even respect them. When Braccus eventually fallen and Queen Zaks took over, Brussel thought this would begin a new age for them. And it did, but not in the way that he would have liked. He tried to be open-minded, give it a chance. But he ended up being disappointed at every turn. When he had heard the Princess had been killed on Earth by USD agents, he could’ve sworn that it would’ve meant war. Not only was the Queen not willing to wage an onslaught on the USD for killing Princess May, but still tried to negotiate peace talks with them after already leaving the USD in the first place!
Brussel was disgusted by these decisions, as it felt like Zaks was just as easily swayed as Braccus was. At first, he wondered if he was alone in this, but then that’s when he heard talks of similar minded Saiyans. They became known as the Oozaru Elites, and had a growing reputation of being pretty vocal about how they felt about Zaks’s rule. Brussel, having ranked high enough to have his own Squadron by this point, ended up joining them. They still performed missions on Vegeta when able, but they went on their own “excursions” under the table. They called them “Training Runs”, where they would go out and assault worlds of their choosing. During one of these runs, Brussel would run into a familiar face. It was Sprout himself, it looked like great minds do think alike.
Now, Brussel is currently using these training runs to get stronger and eventually help the Elites take back what they lost.
Techniques:
[ST1] Flight: Brussel can fly!
[ST1] Tail Mastery: Brussel has trained his tail so that he is no longer affected by it being pulled.
[ST1] Oozaru Mastery: Brussel can control himself in his Oozaru Form!
[OT1] Monkey’s Cry: Brussel lets out a furious roar akin to that of an Oozaru, sending a sonic shockwave toward his opponent!
[DT1] Rapid Movement: Brussel moves so fast that he seemingly disappears and reappears in an instant! To the untrained eye, it looks like teleportation!
[OT1] Cannon Blast: Brussel throws a powerful ki-charged hook towards his enemy!
Transformations:
The PL Requirements and multipliers are EXACTLY the same. The only difference is what some of the transformations are flavor-wise.
Subbing out False Super Saiyan (And tossing the 3 turns thing) for:
Wrath:
Brussel has harnessed the power of the Oozaru to the point where he no longer needs the full moon nor the Oozaru Form to channel its power. His hair stands up as his body drastically increases in height (To 7’ 5”). and his muscle mass and his eyes turn yellow as his energy swells.
Tossing Super Saiyan Blue Evolution (but keeping the HP damage until you reach a certain PL requirement thing) For:
Super Saiyan Blue 4:
Brussel has unlocked a Saiyan’s true power. Combining all areas of a Saiyan’s potential (Oozaru, Super Saiyan, and the Saiyan God), he’s unlocked a new Transformation. The white in his eyes become black and he has a white iris and pupils. He has the super saiyan 4 look, but instead of red fur it’s dark blue. He also gains white hair with a very slight yellow tint, and a blue fiery aura. He becomes much taller in this form (8’ 6”). He also gains sharp teeth as well.
Roleplay Sample:
Planet Chloro: The Forest World
Or at least, it used to be.
The mass deforestation caused by The Oozaru Elites was something that would drop the jaws of many. This world was previously full of a particular youthful greenery that would bring a tear to someone's eye. Brussel was almost saddened that they burned it all to the ground. Almost. Now that the fight was over, it was time to regroup with the others. He really wanted to catch up with his mentor, Sprout. Maybe this time, he had finally surpassed him in kill count. A loud CRUNCH was made beneath his feet as he walked over the dead branches and leaves that practically hid the ground beneath them, leaving them soaked in red that trailed from the open wound in his stomach. A loud THUMPING could be felt in his chest as he felt incredibly on edge, his senses heightened to the maximum as he was on full alert. Hell, even his body was still shaking despite the intense heat. This sensation... this adrenaline. It was obvious what it was.
"Warrior's Rush".
It's a common side effect of a warrior coming down from the high that is "The Bloodlust", the moment where fighting and killing are all that take over one's mind and enter a berserker rage. This usually occurs during an intense battle and it is considered a great achievement among the Oozaru Elites, as it means you fought well and true. It took a couple minutes to fully recover. "Brussel! Over here." He sharply looked to the left as soon as his name was heard, still ready to defend himself if he needed to. However, it was just Sprout himself, just the man he was looking for. He and the six other Saiyans in their group had made a small base camp where they had landed with their Saiyan Pods. They were all sitting together in a circle, resting from this conflict. Grinning, Brussel made his way over and sat down with them.
"So, what's your number?" Sprout asked.
"75. You?"
"125."
"Bah, you lie! You were fighting the muscle-headed brutes for quite some time while I was surrounded by the weaker soldiers. I was racking up quite a number during that."
"Yeah, those were the last five. You forget it's easy for me to get into the feel of things. Meanwhile, you're still suffering from the Rush. Look at you, shaking like a leaf."
The other soldiers chuckled while Brussel channeled ki into his finger and cauterized his wound. He gritted his teeth as the burning sensation immediately kicked in, though by now he was pretty used to it. To keep his mind off of it, he put his focus on the conversation at hand.
"Very funny."
"Ha! Don't be so sensitive, I'm only joking. Truthfully, I'm jealous. I've been at this so long I can hardly get into the Bloodlust anymore. I need more of a fight. I thought with no full moon it would be easier but... I wonder if there's such a thing as too strong."
"As if!" Another soldier of a thinner build spoke up to the left of Brussel. It was Broc, one of the Oozaru Elites who was actually a member of Brussel's personal Vegetan squad. He had the young warrior's confidence, but lately, the Lieutenant was concerned about it turning into Arrogance.
"Just you wait, sir. Soon I'll be strong enough to give you a real fight!"
Brussel immediately cut in.
"Follow the pecking order, you've yet to even compare to me. Watch this, Sprout. Broc, what's your number today?"
"Uh...2...25..."
"...."
"Okay, it was 15."
Everyone burst into laughter around them, with the Saiyan Elite having a wide grin on his face. It was wholesome, having this band of warriors around them. This, this what the Saiyans needed. Real bonding. Vegeta was definitely missing this.
Suddenly, a HUGE energy signature was felt and everyone went silent. It was far, VERY far. The fact that it could still be felt... even here... Something, or someone, had just appeared. And it was in the direction of Planet Vegeta. Sprout and Brussel looked at each other with a shocked, but excited look on both of their faces.
