In the far reaches of the universe, on the serene planet Yardrat, a lone figure stood amidst the ethereal landscape, surrounded by wisps of energy that danced in the air. His name was Callion, a Saiyan warrior on a quest for mastery, seeking knowledge and strength beyond the confines of his own world, but more importantly, to be fully ready in becoming stronger, faster, and ready for the challenges ahead to help his friends, the people on earth, and those who need him the most. The Yardratians, with their intricate understanding of ki manipulation and unconventional techniques, had become Callion's mentors; Master Pybara – chief among them had taken on Callion under his watch under the recommendation of none other than King Kai himself. For several weeks now, he had immersed himself in their teachings, embracing their customs and diligently honing his skills under their guidance. The planet's tranquillity belied the intensity of Callion's training as it matched with his personality and way of life rather well, almost perfectly one would even say. He underwent rigorous exercises, pushing the limits of his endurance and harnessing the intricacies of Yardratian techniques. Among these, the elusive Spirit Control technique stood as the pinnacle of his current pursuit. For it was the very core requirement to learn in order to have the many other useful moves under his belt, and all it required was time. As the days passed, Callion found himself on the cusp of mastering this formidable art. With every passing moment, his connection to the energies of the universe deepened, threading a bond between his spirit and the cosmos. In the penultimate week of his training, amidst the hum of Yardrat's mystical energies, Callion's focus intensified. Each movement became more deliberate, every meditation session delving deeper into the essence of his being. He could feel the surge of power within, a testament to the arduous journey he had undertaken. However, amidst the rigors of his training, Callion possessed a gift—a unique ability that set him apart even among the Yardratians. Through the mastery of Astral Projection Telepathy, he could transcend the confines of his physical form. With a focused mind, he projected himself across the vast expanse of space, his consciousness traversing realms as though a phantom observing distant worlds. Funny enough, the original design of the technique originally came from the form of telepathy that King Kai currently has, but due to Callion ingenuity, he decided to not only improve the technique, but to master telepathy to such a degree, that he can appear as a form of a ghost while he is training at the same time! It was during these moments of projection that Callion, amidst the final stages of his training, turned his attention towards Earth. With a subtle exertion of his mastered skill, he extended half of his consciousness, allowing it to drift like a Specter across galaxies, until it brushed against the familiar aura of his planet, he currently named home, whilst the other half focused on his training on the planet Yardrat. From the serene confines of Yardrat, Callion gazed upon Earth, utilizing his Astral Projection Telepathy to peer into the unknown. What he witnessed there, hidden from the eyes of the inhabitants, remained a secret—a glimpse of events and energies that hinted at a future entwined with destiny. With the impending completion of his training, Callion's thoughts lingered on Earth, a world he would soon return to—a world that held mysteries yet to unfold. As Callion delved deeper into the final intricacies of Spirit Control, an unsettling sensation tugged at his consciousness. It was a subtle disturbance, a faint ripple that echoed across the cosmos, drawing his attention away from Yardrat. With focused intent, Callion extended his consciousness once more, seeking the familiar energies of Earth. The planet spun in the expanse of the galaxy, its aura distinct amidst the cosmic tapestry. Gathering his newfound mastery, Callion channeled the essence of Astral Projection Telepathy. His form on Yardrat dissolved into wisps of energy as he projected himself across the celestial expanse, materializing in the Bamboo Forest of the Eastern Continent on Earth. As an ethereal presence, Callion hovered amidst the dense foliage of the Bamboo Forest. The earthly scents mingled with the mystical energies that enveloped Yardrat. He observed with keen interest, his form unseen by those who traversed the verdant groves. Birds chirped in the canopy above, and a gentle breeze whispered through the bamboo stalks. The tranquility of the forest masked the turbulence that often coursed through Earth's intricate web of existence. Callion's gaze swept across the terrain, his telepathic sight delving beyond the physical realm. He sought not only the sights and sounds but the subtler currents—the ebb and flow of energies that resonated with an ancient rhythm. There, amidst the swaying bamboo, he sensed a convergence—a convergence of forces that hinted at the harmonies and discordances of the world. Threads of destiny intertwined, weaving a tale yet untold. Though intangible, Callion's presence bore witness to events unfolding in the distance, events that would soon ripple across continents, events that would call upon his strength and wisdom. “Aaaah… The Bamboo forest… It has certainly been a while since I was last here.” Callion spoke, his voice sounding like a spectral ghost tone that augmented his voice. “Come to think of it, this is the first time I am using my own mastered telepathy technique… Huh… didn’t expect it to actually work, and I’ve managed to get a perfect signal from Yardrat all the way to Earth… Neat.” He smiled to himself, rather proud that the perfected technique that he was inspired by King Kai’s own form of telepathy bore fruit. Indeed, the Bamboo forest was a sight to behold; it extends across vast expanses, its emerald hues standing out amidst the diverse landscapes of Earth. Its mystique lies not only in its physical beauty but also in the energies that flow within its groves. The forest exudes an aura of tranquility, where the rustling bamboo leaves create a melodious symphony carried by the gentle zephyrs that weave through the towering stalks. It's a place where nature's serenity intertwines seamlessly with mystical energies that pulse beneath the surface. From the legends of old having made their first steps from the Bamboo forest into the wide world, to the more current events of the world today that had taken place. Callion pondered in his spectral Astral Projection form who he’d stumble to meet. For now, his hands were clasped behind his back as he slowly floated around the Bamboo forest, taking in the magical landscape. “Funny enough, if I remember, this is where I first met Ayu and Zaks… I wonder how they’re doing…”

Grandma Fa had taught him a great many techniques from the Fury School. But many where complicated and difficult, he knew how to do them, even if only in theory. But his understanding of them, or ability to execute them where not at a level where he could do so with confidence, let alone use them for battle. His main problem, at least right now, was that he wasn’t strong enough. He didn’t have nearly enough power behind him to even attempt committing to the training for the primary underlying technique on which the majority of Fury techniques where built.
As it was Fury Crash was just an inferior recreation he’d managed to make by emulating the version his grandmother had demonstrated.
But even with that being the case there where still other areas that Liek needed to improve as well; while he could tell his flying ability was probably second to none in terms of pure skill he knew there where further heights to reach for. He could be faster, more agile… simply being at home in the air wasn’t the peak of what he could do, and he knew it. He was as good as his Grandmother and her friends ever where when it came to moving in the air… and with enough effort he knew it to be possible to surpass them.
And there was so much more for him to learn on top of that! He knew, theoretically it was possible to control that monstrous ape that dwelt within, that larger, more complex blasts of ki could be unleashed… and so much more…
So many possibilities… and it frustrated the teen to know he was nowhere near any of it.
Liek hurtled through the bamboo forest at top speed, weaving between to shoots with a precision few could match, his mind split between focusing on where he was going and the roiling thoughts and frustrations that plagued him.
He’d learned so much about the world in such a short amount of time too. A city was destroyed by rampaging giant monkeys, a psychopathic living bubblegum was killing people for fun, and then there was the stream of chaos involving the Saiyan royalty. It had been such a brief amount of time since his Grandmother’s passing and him leaving his sheltered home, all innocent, bright eyed and full of hope, thinking the best of all he met. And already one of more important ones he’d met, a girl he’d immediately crushed on, had broken him of those high hopes… being just another prick who wanted to show off their strength and beat down the weak…
The upsetting thoughts caused the boy to loose focus at a bad time and he slammed through rock in his path, sending it’s shattered remains flying and himself tumbling across the ground. After lying on the ground for a moment he sighed in frustration and rolled onto his back.
“If the world is left to people like them… how could anyone feel safe?” He wondered aloud.

As Liek lay there, frustrated and questioning the safety of a world plagued by chaos and those who abused their strength, Callion's ethereal presence flickered into view beside him. A faint shimmer, almost imperceptible to the untrained eye, marked his form in the midst of the Bamboo Forest. Indeed, from what Callion witnessed in the young man, Liek's frustrations were palpable, the weight of the world's chaos and his own limitations pressing down on him as he navigated the Bamboo Forest. Callion couldn’t help but continue to watch his journey unfold from afar, the force ghost Saiyan could empathize with his sense of inadequacy and the disillusionment caused by encountering the harsh realities of the world.
"Young warrior," Callion's voice resonated softly, carrying an air of wisdom and understanding, "Strength wielded without compassion or purpose breeds fear and despair. But your frustration is a testament to your desire for a better world, a world where strength serves a noble cause."
His eyes, filled with an ageless determination and empathy, met Liek's troubled gaze. "In every soul lies the potential for both greatness and darkness. It is the choices we make, the lessons we learn, that shape our path. The trials you face now are but steps toward mastering your power, not just for might's sake, but for the safeguarding of those who cannot defend themselves."
With a gesture, Callion motioning his hand up, as if he wanted Liek to get back up onto his feet. "Your journey is not solitary, young one. Seek guidance, harness your frustrations as fuel for growth, and remember, true strength lies not only in raw power but in the heart that wields it."
Callion's gaze turned skyward, as if seeking solace in the expanse above. "The world is indeed marred by chaos, but it is also brimming with hope. It's within the hearts of individuals like you, seeking to better themselves and their understanding, that the light of hope shines brightest." The Saiyan spoke one more time "Your journey is just beginning, and while the path ahead may seem daunting, remember that it's not solely about becoming stronger. It's about growing wiser, more compassionate, and understanding the responsibility that comes with your abilities."
As he finished speaking, a serene calmness enveloped the surroundings, the breeze carrying a whisper of encouragement through the Bamboo Forest. “Though to you, I sense potential and great power. Yet this is the first time and you and I have met… What is your name young warrior?” Callion asked Liek, as he wanted to know the individual before him, his ambitions, the path he wanted to take, and possible provide support and to guide him on his destiny to where he wants to go by his own hand.
“Talk to me, what has got in such an angered state?” The force ghost of Callion asked Like, having seen the debris of the rock that the young half-breed crushed with his fist, there was anger, and he wanted to see what he could do to help him and offer guidance in these tough, and unusual times.

The teen was so lost in thought he didn’t even notice the presence next to him at first. All the things he had been thinking about where bouncing back and forth and spiraling around in his head in a confusing mess, and no matter how hard he tried he just couldn’t sort through it all and the emotions they caused within.
So hearing a voice right next to him was no small surprise for him. Practically flying out of his own skin as he sprung off the ground, during which completely manly and not at all high pitched scream burst from his lips, and into a defensive stance in the air he got a good look at the person speaking. And what he saw was… confusing.
It was a person, but transparent? And glowing?
What in the actual HIFL was going on?
Despite the youth’s shock the figure… the man… the ghost? Kept on talking.
Everything he said was true. People could end up on the path of good or evil based solely on their choices, even those with the best of intentions could end up on the wrong path completely by accident, his mind briefly turning to what little he knew of Opherla. And the those who serve evil can amend their ways and fight for a just cause, his mind turning to one of his Grandmother’s companions, a Fury who switched sides near the end of that conflict.
He wasn’t alone. Liek wasn’t sure of that. So far he wasn’t sure of the intentions of the three people he’d met so far. Abe and Opherla both claimed to want to protect the world, but he hadn’t spoken to Abe to truly know him, and Opherla… well her interactions with the third person he’d met had him questioning her motivations.
And the third person… Liek hoped he could bring her around, but she was twice as stubborn as a mule and drunk on her own hype. If any progress was going to be made on her his work was going to be cut out for him.
Eventually the man asked him two questions and, although unnerved by the ghost, he replied, “I’m Liek. I grew up in the forests nearby. And what has me so upset is…”
He looked down and frowned, collecting his thoughts as best he could, “My grandmother recently passed of old age. She wasn’t related by blood, but she raised me ever since I was little. She was… the only person I’d ever known. She was kind, but firm in her training. She taught me to fly, to fight, to hunt… She never outright told me what to do with my life, only that power is for protecting those too weak to protect themselves.”
There was a heavy pause, “It’s not been long since she passed and I left the old home… a few days, maybe? And already, those I’ve met, those claiming to have similar opinions about how to use strength like ours…” He sighed and landed back on the ground, letting his shoulders slump, “One in particular… she abused her powers. Sure, the other person wasn’t exactly nice, but she just used her powers like a bully, to provoke and humiliate her opponent… when there wasn’t even a reason for them to fight in the first place.”
“And the things… the terrible things that happened while I was living in the woods. All those people hurt… it…” He scowled as a tear formed in his eye. All those people dead, and the pain the families left behind must have felt. With his entire body trembling in frustration he muttered “I might have been useless in the actual fights… but if I’d been there I… I dunno… could have saved someone… even a single life...”

Liek's emotional turmoil resonated deeply within Callion, the echoes of his own past struggles intertwining with the young Saiyan's heartfelt lament. From the astral realm, he observed the turmoil etched across Liek's face, his own translucent form a mere specter among the bamboo groves.
In a gentle yet resonant voice, Callion responded, though his ethereal form remained intangible to Liek's physical senses. "Liek, I understand your struggle. The choices we face, the people we encounter, they shape us in ways we cannot foresee. Your grandmother sounds like a remarkable woman, one who instilled in you values of kindness and strength," Callion responded, his voice carrying an empathetic tone. The spectral vision of Callion floated towards Liek and gently placed a hand on the half-breed’s shoulder, “Loss is never easy, especially when someone who raised and guided you is no longer there," Callion's voice carried a calming reassurance. "The lessons your grandmother imparted upon you, they live within you. Her teachings about using strength to protect the vulnerable—those are the foundations of a noble path."
He paused, acknowledging the distress Liek felt regarding those who misused their power. "It's disheartening to witness the misuse of strength, especially when it causes harm instead of offering protection. But remember, the choices of others don't define your path. Your actions and convictions are yours alone." Liek's regret about not being present to prevent the tragedies weighed heavily on him. "It's natural to feel that you could have made a difference, yet dwelling on the past won't change it. Instead, use that feeling as fuel to protect and safeguard in the future."
He sought to offer solace. "Your grandmother, even though she may not be with you physically, her essence, her wisdom—it remains within you. In the vast expanse of existence, there's a place for those who've lived with compassion and grace. I have no doubt that someone like her finds peace in heaven. Take it from someone whose been there…" Callion said as he revealed that he too had died but returned to life. “Who knows, I may have met your Grandmother up there. I know it sounds crazy, but trust me. The afterlife – at least Heaven, is quite the nice place. I’m sure she is up there and relaxing peacefully.”
The Saiyan paused for a moment, worried, that this kind of information maybe confusing, so he rubbed his chin. He might want to explain to Liek about how the afterlife work, or even behaved due to different dimensions, so the Saiyan decided to offer descriptions to make it easier for the half-saiyan to understand. "Listen, Liek. In our world, things are... well, different. There's no heaven in the same way you might've heard of in other stories. But that doesn't mean the spirits of those who've passed on are gone forever."
Callion's ethereal form shimmered with a faint warmth, "When someone passes away, their energy doesn't just vanish. It becomes part of the universe, continuing on in a different way. Your grandmother's teachings, her kindness, and everything she shared with you, those are all pieces of her that live on inside you." He floated closer again, a reassuring presence, "You might not see it, but there's a sort of... connection between us all. A unity in the energy that flows through the cosmos. And in that sense, those who've left us aren't completely gone. They become part of the greater energy that surrounds us, guiding and watching over us in their own way."
Callion's form flickered gently, "So, even if it's not quite the same as what some might call heaven, I believe your grandmother, just like others who've passed, is part of that greater energy. She's at peace, still guiding and protecting in her own way." He continued, "There's comfort in that, knowing that the essence of those we've lost isn't completely lost. They're a part of the fabric of existence, and their impact continues to shape the world in unseen ways."
He paused, letting the words sink in, "So, in a way, she's there, watching, and proud of the person you're becoming. Keep her spirit alive through your actions, and you'll be honouring her in the best way possible." Callion then remembered something as he clicked his fingers and pointed at Like; “Oh, and I almost forgot. If you have lived a good life and even, dare I say, be a hero in life, you get to keep your body in the afterlife.”

The man’s words offered Liek some measure of comfort. He truly hoped that his Grandmother was recognised in Other World as a hero. She and her friends lost so much, and sacrificed even more to ensure the invasion of the Earth by the Fury didn’t happen, stopping it before it could even be noticed by the government and going to the Fury homeworld to stop further attempts from there…
Whoever was in charge of deciding who was a hero and who wasn’t wouldn’t hold them not being able to stop that psychopath from blowing up the Fury homeworld against them, would they? Not like he thought this ghost could actually give him an answer. Some day, some how, Liek would have to learn for himself what happened to his grandmother and her friends.
“Thank you.” The teen said genuinely, wiping tears from his eyes, “She deserves it, keeping her body. After all she and her friends went through…” He put a hand on his chest and continued, “Yeah, I’ll keep everything she taught me close to my heart. The teachings and feelings, the determination of a woman who never wanted to be a warrior, but rose to the challenge when conflict came for her… and keep alive the martial art of a dead people, a noble people twisted and driven to destruction by a psychopath.”
Furiemshinken, the last vestige of the once mighty and noble culture of the Fury. And Liek, the only one who retained knowledge of it’s practice.
“You know…” Liek pondered out loud as he mulled over the stranger’s words, “You make this cosmic energy stuff sound an awful lot like the Force from that one movie series.” He then frowned, “Also ‘been’ there? Past tense? Are you dead now, some ghost that’s come back to the land of living because of some regret tying you to this place or did you come back somehow?” After a pause he added, “Or are you like an actual Force Ghost? Some long dead mystic talking to me from the beyond?” He then shook his head with a laugh, “No way you’re the last one. I’m no where near important enough to get that kind of attention.”

"Hey, I get it. Your grandmother sounds like she was an incredible person, and I'm sure she's remembered for her bravery and sacrifices." Callion said with a soft nod, smiling at the young man as if an older brother figure was giving guidance to a younger sibling, trying his best to offer a bit of comfort and solace to Liek.
“As for me, I've... well, been through something similar. I was once gone, but now I'm back. Not as a Force Ghost or anything like that. It's more like a physical and mastered form of Telepathy, which I used half of my conscious to talk to you as I am, whilst my other conscious in my physical body is busy training at the same time. Heh, and people say multitasking is for women, girls, eat your heart out." Callion joked with a chuckle, smirking at his own little comedy before turning his attention back to the half-breed.
He paused for a moment, contemplating how much to reveal, "I'm mainly using this mastered form of telepathy to keep tabs on the planet Earth whilst I’m training on a far away planet, making sure the planet doesn’t fall to chaos while I am away. Honestly, I can’t turn my back for five minutes for something else to go wrong.”
Callion sighed, rubbing the temples of his forehead for a moment, having been informed much of what has occurred while he was away. "And about that cosmic energy stuff sounding like the Force from the movies? Funny you mentioned that. There might be some similarities in the way things work, but it's not exactly the same. The universe is full of strange and interconnected energies, and in our world, it's more about the flow and balance of those energies rather than a Force with a capital 'F.'"
Callion floated a bit closer, a faint smile playing on his transparent face, "You might not feel important, but sometimes the universe has a funny way of connecting people and events. You might be more significant than you think, even if it's not in the way you'd expect."
He paused for a moment before continuing, "You've got a lot on your plate, Liek. But trust me, you don't need to be some big-shot for someone to care. You're already important, just by being who you are. Don't sell yourself short." Callion's form glowed faintly, "Remember, it's not about being the most powerful or the most famous. It's about how you use what you've got to make things better. That's what matters in the end."
The Force Ghost Saiyan smiled at Like, and he decided to change the topic for Liek into something a little more comfortable and more casual, at least to a level that the two could possibly relate to, and one topic came to Callion’s mind that at least the two Saiyans can relate to:
Training.
"Hey, Liek. Shifting gears a bit here. How's your training been going? You've got some impressive moves up your sleeve, flying through the bamboo forest like that. Makes me wonder, how strong are you right now?"
Callion shifted the conversation, hoping to lighten the mood a bit and draw Liek's attention away from the heavier topics, "I mean, I saw you zooming through those bamboo shoots like a pro. Impressive agility there. And your flying skills, top-notch. Got me curious about where you stand in terms of power." Callion's ethereal form hovered with a curious interest, "Been putting in the work to get stronger? I can sense some potential there, but there's always room to grow, right? You've got that fire within, the drive to push yourself. It's about honing that strength and skill, one step at a time."
He offered a faint smile, "I know it's a lot to handle, especially with everything going on around you. But training, getting stronger, it's not just about physical power. It's about discipline, focus, and understanding who you are and what you wish to become.” He floated a bit closer, a curious glint in his translucent form, "Training to get stronger? I'm sure with your determination and your grandma's teachings, you're on the path to becoming quite the powerhouse. Any special techniques you've been working on?"
Callion hoped to steer the conversation toward something that might lift Liek's spirits, focusing on his strengths and potential for growth. Sometimes a bit of training talk could offer a welcome distraction from heavier emotions.

So this guy died and somehow came back to life. Something inside Liek told him that it was very unlikely that this guy died a natural death. As much as Liek would have liked to think his grandmother could somehow come back, even if briefly, he somehow doubted dying of old age would give her the same come back to life opportunities this guy had.
The young man cracked a smile at the joke. It wasn’t a very good one, in Liek’s opinion, but it did lift some of the tension. His familiarity with stereotypes and cultural zeitgeist jokes was limited to his grandmother’s movie collection, which was at least 50 years out of date before he entered her life. He understood the joke, and recognised the humour, but it didn’t really resonate with him.
He could recognise the advantages of the telepathic projection technique almost as soon as it was explained to him. The obvious advantage was as the man was explaining, being able to be in multiple places, keeping track of happenings across the world. But the divided attention part also had advantages for training, especially when you are trying to train something to be like second nature, to not need active thought to use. By using the technique there is less room for concentrating on a single thing, by pushing it further it could accelerate how quickly a technique could be committed reflex memory.
It was very tempting to learn…
“Hopefully I can get strong enough to help ease that burden.” Was his response when the man mentioned not being able to look away from Earth for five minutes. After all, no one should have to shoulder the yoke of protector alone. Sure there where already others around, but Liek didn’t know them that well.
Callion was right about there being multiple forms of interconnect energies in the universe. From the sounds of it the cosmic energy he was talking about was connected to Ki in some way. But at the same time Liek was aware of a third energy, Orgone, the energy used to fuel Fury technology, which was also interconnected with Ki. Furiemshinken was originally built around using Orgone energy, but adapted by Liek’s grandmother and her friends to use Ki as a substitute.
“My training?” Liek replied, “I’ve been at a bit of a plateau right now.” He admitted, he hadn’t made any real progress in any respects in months. With a shrug he added, “It happens from time to time. But I’m sure something will click sooner or later and I’ll be making progress again before I know it.” That was another lesson his Grandmother had taught him; don’t get hung over training plateaus, keeping working at it and you’ll get past it.
“I can fly about as well as Grandma could at her peak, Furiemshinken is all about aerial combat and taking advantage of all three movement dimensions.” Liek explained, “Though I don’t think I’ve reached my peak in that area…” He trailed of as he pondered what the next level of flight could even look like.
Shaking his head he continued, “As for my strength… Not very. Not when I compare myself to that girl, anyway. And there are supposed to be people even stronger then her lurking around.” He sighed, “I mean, I didn’t start roaming around thinking I was the strongest out there… but it’s frustrating to know there are bad people out there I’m not strong enough to do anything about…”
There was always room to grow? That’s true. He smiled, “Yeah, as Grandma used to say, ‘Perfection can be pursued, but never caught.’”
“What I wish to become?” Liek muttered, “Thing is… I don’t actually know.” He looked at his hands, “Don’t get me wrong. I don’t intend to ever be someone who uses his power for cruelty, I could never betray Grandma like that… But… I’m sixteen. I don’t really know anyone in this world.” He looked up at the man, “I’m not even confident I know myself. I just…” He looked away again, “I don’t know…” He sighed and shook his head. He was hardly the first teenager to have trouble dealing with the questions of ‘Who am I? Who do I want to be?’ and come up short on answers.
“I have been working on something, actually.” He admitted and held out a hand, palm up. Ki began to flow through him as he explained, “Grandma taught me this years ago, but I’ve never managed to get the hang of it.” Ki began to flow into his hand and coalesce into a single point, growing denser and denser.
“Furiemshinken: Energy Materialisation!”
Suddenly the ki crystallised into a tiny bead with a diameter no larger then two millimetres. It dropped into the boy’s hand as he admitted, “This is about as much as I can manage right now. Grandma could form structures and weapons as large as she was.” The bead began to vibrate and visibly crackle before Liek tossed it away. The bead exploded with a little pop, clearly in that small state it couldn’t do any real damage to anyone. And the time it took form it wasn’t viable in combat.
“I’ve got a ways to go with that one.”

Callion observed with genuine interest as Liek recounted his training and demonstrated his Energy Materialisation technique. The intricate control and manipulation of ki to form condensed energy fascinated Callion, who hadn't encountered a technique quite like it before. As Liek manifested the tiny bead of condensed energy, Callion let out a low whistle, genuinely impressed by the display.
"Hey, that's something! I haven't seen a technique quite like that before," Callion remarked with a nod of approval, whistling in a impressed manner. "It might not be where you want it to be just yet, but that control is impressive. You've got the foundation there; with more practice, you'll definitely take it further." He floated a bit closer to Liek, his spectral form showing a hint of admiration, "You've got potential, kid. That Energy Materialisation might just be your ticket to unlocking more of your abilities. Keep refining it, and you'll see progress sooner than you think."
Callion's encouragement was genuine as he watched Liek's determination, "Remember, progress takes time. You're putting in the effort, and that counts for a lot. Don't be too hard on yourself. You're on the right track, and I have a feeling you'll break through that plateau sooner than you expect." He offered a reassuring nod, "Knowing yourself and your path? It takes time. You're not alone in that struggle. Sometimes, the journey to finding out who you are is just as important as the destination. Keep exploring, keep learning, and you'll find your way."
Callion's presence, though ethereal, exuded a sense of camaraderie, "And hey, don't worry too much about being the strongest or having all the answers now. Life has its way of unfolding things when the time is right. Just keep moving forward, and you'll find your place. If you ever need guidance or someone to bounce ideas off, I'll be around. We might not have a scouter, but I've got a good ear for these things."
The Force Ghost pure-blooded Saiyan ponder for a moment before he snapped his fingers, he just had an idea that might just be enough to help Liek on his journey throughout the world, naturally, it would be his choice whether to heed the Saiyans advice, but it was a start to give the kid a helping hand. "You know, Liek, there might be someone who could help guide you on your journey. A wise old master named Master Roshi." Callion's spectral form took on a thoughtful expression, "Master Roshi is a legendary figure, a martial arts master with vast experience. He might just be the kind of mentor you're looking for. He's known for not just teaching martial arts, but also for instilling wisdom and guidance in his students."
"He's usually found on an island called Kame House, located on a small island north of a place called Papaya Island. It's a bit of a secluded spot, but it's worth seeking him out if you're serious about training and finding your path." Callion floated a bit closer, his expression earnest, "Master Roshi might have the insights you need to navigate your doubts and discover your true potential. He's trained some of the greatest warriors in our world, and his teachings go beyond just physical strength."
"You'll know him when you see him, a bald, elderly man with a penchant for sunglasses and often seen wearing a turtle shell. Don't let his appearance fool you; he's a powerhouse of knowledge and skill." With a nod of encouragement, Callion added, "Meeting someone like Master Roshi could be a turning point for you. He might help you find direction and strength, and who knows, you might just find the answers you're seeking there." Callion's suggestion seemed genuine, as if he believed that seeking out Master Roshi could be a valuable step in Liek's journey of self-discovery and martial development.
"Listen, if you do decide to take my advice, when you get to Master Roshi's, just let him know that Callion – that’s me - sent you his way, recommended you for training. I'm sure he'll be more than happy to take you under his wing." Callion's translucent form floated closer, emphasizing the point, "Tell him about our conversation, about your quest to understand yourself and become stronger. Roshi's got a knack for spotting potential, and he might see something in you, not to mention help you on your journey."
He nodded reassuringly, "You've got skills and determination, and Roshi might just help you channel that into something more." He hovered a bit closer, as if to emphasize the importance of the advice, "Take it step by step. Master Roshi might have insights that can guide you, not just in martial arts but in life. And who knows, you might discover things about yourself you never expected." Callion's words carried a genuine sense of optimism and encouragement, hoping that Liek would find value in the wisdom of Master Roshi and continue to grow on his unique journey. The Saiyan's suggestion carried a sense of certainty, as if he truly believed that Master Roshi could be a significant guide for Liek, helping him navigate both the martial arts world and his personal journey of self-discovery.

If only Callion knew. The vast majority of Furiemshinken’s special techniques where built on the foundation of the materialisation techniques, whether they be fuelled by ki energy or the Fury’s Orgone energy. Both offensive and defensive skills utilised the crystallised energy in some fashion. Getting materialisation to click would open up more then just a few abilities, it would open up pretty much the entire portfolio of the Furiemshinken!
“Time.” Liek muttered, “Even you said there seems to be trouble every five minutes. It feels like time is something I don’t have a whole lot of before the next big mess hits.” There was so much more he had to do to catch up to where everyone else was. He felt like he was some back water tribe stepping out of the forest and finding out everyone else had already entered the space race. He was just so far behind…
A scouter? Oh, right. Since the encounter with Salada, Liek had managed to do a little research and learned about the Scouters some space cultures tended to use. He also managed to confirm that the scouters where indeed reverse engineered by the Fury for use in their armours.
Then the older man told the teen about something he hadn’t expected; about the existence of a martial arts master who may be willing to train him and take him under his wing. And from the way Callion was talking about the man he had quite the reputation as a teacher under his belt. Wisdom, guidance and martial arts all in a single package? It seemed like quite the deal.
“I used to live in a forest where the only other person there was my Grandma for twelve years. I can handle a little seclusion.” Liek commented casually. While he still slept in the area of his old home on occasion, it felt wrong to stay in the house now that his Grandma was gone though.
“Old, bald, sunglasses, questionable fashion sense. Got it.” Liek noted and committed the details to memory. What was with old martial arts masters and being eccentric in some way shape or form? It was like his Grandmother and her love for the colour green. And being stubborn. Liek was still salty it took until he was twelve to get her to let him wear outfits that didn’t feature green as the dominant colour. It just didn’t suit him at all!
“Callion, so that’s your name.” Liek confirmed. He’d be sure to remember that.
He gave the older man a polite bow, “Thank you for all this. I’m sure it will be a great help to me.”

"You're welcome, Liek. Remember, it's not just about catching up to where others are. It's about your journey, your pace, and the progress you make along the way."
Callion's spectral form glowed softly, a reassuring presence, "Time may feel limited, but every step forward counts. Don't rush the journey. You'll get where you need to be, and every lesson you learn along the way will shape you into the person you're meant to become." As Liek mentioned his readiness for seclusion, Callion chuckled, "Sounds like you're prepared for the eccentricity. That's the spirit."
At the description of Master Roshi, Liek's acknowledgment drew a faint laugh from Callion, "Yeah, that's the one. You can't miss him." He smiled gently, "Master Roshi might just be the next step on that path. Embrace the opportunity, and don't hesitate to ask for guidance."
Liek's courteous bow prompted a warm response from Callion, "No need to thank me, Liek. Just passing on what I've learned. Trust yourself, keep pushing forward, and I'm sure you'll find the path that's right for you. Good luck, kid."
With those words, Callion's astral form seemed to shimmer slightly, recognising him that it was time to return to his other consciousness that was on Planet Yardrat. "Liek, it's about time for me to head back. My physical training on Yardrat awaits, and I need to get stronger too."
Callion's spectral form seemed to shimmer slightly, a sense of farewell in his words, "I'll be back on Earth in about a month, maybe two at most. I look forward to meeting you in person and perhaps having a friendly spar. It'll be interesting to see how far you've come."
With a gentle smile, Callion's astral projection began to dissipate, "Remember, keep pushing forward, keep training, and don't lose sight of your goals. I'll be rooting for you, Liek." He smiled faintly, a sense of anticipation in his voice, "I'm looking forward to meeting you in person. Maybe we can have that sparring match, see if you've made some progress by then."
With a nod of farewell, Callion's spectral form began to fade, "Until then, keep training, keep growing. The journey awaits, Liek. Farewell for now."
As his presence faded, a sense of anticipation for the future spar lingered, leaving Liek with the promise of a meeting to come, and the moment to contemplate the upcoming meeting and the promise of future growth.

The teen watched the older man’s projection fade away quietly, there really wasn’t anything to say since his earlier thanks more or less also worked as a farewell in this situation. Besides, the man had left the youth with a great deal to think about. Taking a seat on the remains of the rock he’d accidentally shattered earlier he mulled over the conversation.
Volga’s bread that guy liked to talk. The teen genuinely wondered if the guy really just liked the sound of his own voice that much. Liek always preferred to just get to the point in conversations, and to do so as clearly as possible. That way more time could be spent on actually putting thought into action, or at least working to understand the information conveyed.
But Callion had told him quite a bit, maybe without thinking about it. It was possible to come back from the dead, those who where considered heroes retained their bodies in the after life and there where techniques that allowed astral projection. More over there was a martial arts master on Earth called Roshi that could help him and there was another world out there where he could receive whatever training it was that Callion was doing, a world called Yardrat.
The matter regarding the afterlife where of interest but could wait. The astral projection technique was interesting however and reminded Liek of a technique used often by one of his great aunts. She could use Materialisation to create copies of herself and fight in sync with them. The boy couldn’t help but wonder if he could learn the same telepathic astral projection abilities and combine it with his Great Aunt’s technique to make a more powerful variant?
As for Roshi, Liek was definitely going to follow up on that sooner rather then later. Guided training was always more desirable then aimlessly wandering and hoping whatever hard work you are doing is actually helping you improve. After all, how can you tell when you’re making sloppy mistakes if there is no one around to point them out to you? Training entirely alone is a recipe for developing bad habits.
Finally, there was Yardrat. Really, that was something for another time. Leaving Earth wasn’t really an option just yet. He was too inexperienced be considering some galactic adventure to find where this planet is. Though it did raise an idea, maybe some day he should visit the remains of the Fury home world?
Not that he expected to find anything useful there, but it was where his Furiemshinken was originally invented. Maybe some scraps of knowledge survived Mu’kaden’s ‘if I can’t rule it no one can’ final act of defiance.
Looking up the boy pondered the fact the older man would be back on Earth in a month or two. He’d even offered a sparring match when he returned. It was an interesting thought, but somehow the boy doubted he could become strong enough in that time frame to actually put up a fight against the obviously superior fighter.
Well, no point worrying about a month or two when there where things he could do right now. Standing up he took to the air and recalled Callion’s instructions; an island north of Papaya Island. The boy had never been that way, but he was sure he could find his way. Worst case scenario he could just stop by in a city and buy a world map or something.
And with that plan in his mind the boy flew off on his search for Master Roshi.
