With the last Dragon Ball being the most difficult to find, Arctic's efforts had completely been dedicated to finding this last Dragon Ball. It was a very difficult one to track down. The others had been rather simple in comparison. He had been lucky enough to find them in the Namekian villages, held by a Namekian or hidden in a rather simple area to uncover. This one though? He couldn't help but think that the Namekian's might have been playing some sort of a trick on him. After all, he had already put so much time into this single location and had nothing to show for it. His crew had been working here for days trying to uncover the mysterious location of this final Dragon Ball but even they couldn't find anything. It was frustrating, annoying and the Namekian's were going to pay for this delay. It was a delay Arctic couldn't afford, it was a delay that was giving his enemies time to prepare for what was to come. In reality, the risk of somebody being on his level after the wish was impossible, but being so close to his wishes and yet being so far away had started to chip away at his mind. Doubts had started to flow in, questions. Ones that he didn't need in his mind right now.
He had been so close to the wishes that he could almost feel the new power flowing through him. He could visualize Namek falling to the tree of might, Vegeta being exploded by his own hand and the saiyan monkeys being brought to near extinction because he willed it. It was a thought that brought excitement to him and he didn't want to wait on it any longer. He needed this Dragon Ball now. He needed to become the most powerful thing in the universe to set his will upon the universe. He was going to become the ruler of it all and anybody who attempted to stop him or get in his way would be dead.
To get to that point, to get everything he could ever want. He was going to require the last of the Dragon Balls. The area was in the mountains and being heavily mined and excavated by his soldiers. Arctic had even made a few attempts to shift the landscape to give himself more areas to search but so far, nothing was coming from it. The Dragon Ball had remained hidden even with the mass effort to find it. All his soldiers were tired, getting sick of the labor but they didn't have much of a choice. This was it. Finding this last ball was going to be the final thing on Namek that they were going to be required to do. For the Tree, they could all take a break.
While the soldiers worked, Arctic had now decided to stay out of it again for a little while. He wanted to keep himself calm, cool and collected and to do that he simply observed and reflected on all the choices that had brought him here. He didn't want to ruin his chances by going overboard with the blasting of the landscape. He knew that a patterned excavation was best. He didn't want his own tactics that was rushed to hinder him further, for the Namekian's had already done a good job at that. His beady red eyes observed his soldiers as they continued to work. As the did their best to please their ruler, all for their own rewards and for their own lives. They knew Arctic wasn't pleased with this, they knew that failure could mean death. They had to find it, and they had to find it now.
After some time had gone by, Arctic had decided on taking a new approach. Instead of forcing his soldiers to work endlessly, he would provide them with an opportunity to take a break now. While some may think it would have the opposite result of what he desired, he had decided with a cool head that if the soldiers were refreshed and got a start tomorrow, they'd be more motivated and maybe the situation would change.
"You can all take a break until tomorrow, though I want duty shifts protecting the area to insure the Dragon Ball isn't relocated while we're not present."
After he said that, plenty of the soldiers immediately stopped working, but one of them kept digging as he believed he had been very closet to finding something...
