There was something about being so close to having all the Dragon Balls that brought Arctic's nerves up even higher. He had been so close to completing his goal and he worried that something might come up and take his success away from him. He knew that the longer he waited, the higher the chances were of something going wrong. Whether it be a random hero Namekian or something else, something like a super saiyan appearing, Arctic didn't want to take any further chances. he didn't wish to risk this any further. He just wanted this finished and complete.
Though now that he was down to one single Dragon Ball, it had seemed as if the Namekian's had tried even harder now to keep it from him. While it had remained in the same spot for the past few days, no amount of excavation had seemed to get him closer to his desires. His soldiers and himself had looked around the area endlessly and there was absolutely no signs of it. While it was getting much more difficult to seek out, Arctic wasn't about to give up. For the last few days, Arctic had a good portion of his crew slaving away in the area and excavating and mining. The area was in the mountain region, there had been plenty of hidden caves and spots that the Dragon Ball could be resting and the Dragon Radar had brought them to this location. There hadn't been a single doubt in Arctic's mind that it was here, it was just about uncovering where the Namekian's hid it.
There had been no villagers present, there was nobody to exploit, threaten or kill to find this ball so it was now just down to the hard work of his soldiers and they wouldn't get to get off this planet until this job was done. It was only a matter of time until something could go wrong and Arctic needed this now. He needed to prevent any potential outcomes that involved failure. There would only be few that could stop him now, but he couldn't help his nerves. Arctic had found himself on ground level, observing his soldiers closely as they searched the entire area and continued to dig to the best of their ability. Arctic's eyes continued to bounce back and forth from the Radar to his soldiers, eagerly awaiting the ball to be brought to his attention. It was here somewhere, surely somebody would have to find it sooner rather than later.
The only explanation that Arctic could have for the difficulty was that the Namekian's had known that this was the last Dragon ball that Arctic required to make his wish and they took the extra procaution in order to make sure it stayed out of the Changelings hands. After all, he was roaming Namek and killing it's people frequently the last two months and they had gotten a taste of what pure level of evil he was. They had known that his wish would be selfish, his wishes would be nothing good for the universe and only something good for Arctic himself. While the Namekian's knew they couldn't stop him through fighting him, they could potentially stop him by hiding this Dragon Ball to the best of their ability. That's exactly what they did, and that's exactly what Arctic had assumed they would do. While the Namekian's didn't know it, their planet was going to suffer greatly for this. It was going to be the host planet for the tree of might when it was acquired through the wishes.
"These blasted Namekians, where could they have possibly hidden this Dragon Ball?!" Arctic stated to himself as he began to search the area with his soldiers. He would try a more unique method. He wasn't just going to dig all over the place but he'd simply blast away small chunks of the landscape in hopes that it would show itself. He would make sure that none of his soldiers were in the are area of the blast. The last thing he needed at this moment was to cut his work force down. The more soldiers he had here slaving away the better. The more eyes, the more area, the faster that he'd get this final Dragon Ball. With each blast, Arctic would investigate the small area of the new landscape that he created. He would rinse and repeat this for some time, either until he got tired of it or until he found the Dragon Ball.
