Counter attacks are usually best practiced when you are officially on the defense. The rush of every block, the intensity of every dodge, and the focus of every counter attack - it was something Gemikai could feel as this mere robot was strong enough to make Gem completely revise his thoughts on defense. The camera shows the dummy getting two successful blows into Gems physical. Gemikai immediately pulls himself back together and starts back on his defensive training with the complete goal of successful defense and counters. This quick morning training session seemed a bit like a drag at first, but his ambition lead him to the gym - and now Gemikai internally felt grateful for it.

This training had continued to turn up for at least a solid hour. Speaking the commands to get the machine to stop swinging on him - Gem finally decided perhaps it was time to take a break. The demon walked to the locker room slowly to catch his own breath. People or beings being strong enough to hurt him is always a surprise, and to Gemikai or isn't always the best one. But this time he knows he needs it as the feet of Gems arrived at his own locker. Obviously the first thing the demon went for was his phone - typical twenty years olds - of wait what's this date? - and there it was. The camera zoomed in on his surprised face. The calendar app was open and the date was vibrating his hand through his phone, Gemikai had completely forgot he scheduled his first hearing on this day in thirty minutes! Insane. Gem did not look too happy as he stuffed everything into his bag, locked his locker back up, properly store and turn off his dummy, and bolted out of the gym. The camera sees Gem walking out the door with his workout bag on his back - looks around for any close humans and propelled himself into the air via flight technique.

Today Gem was jumping into USD politics. As Gem flew to his own living quarters, the thoughts of the situation was starting to return to him in pretty pieces. Gemikai a little bit back took a mission to investigate a high battle power on earth - one unidentified by the radars of the USD equipment at one of the HQs. It was a new village minding its own business with a massive power level that was marked unidentified. This created panic in a particular group of night shift of USD base that day. It was also some of the strongest human fear Gemikai had seen up close - it was almost suffocating. Gemi hated it so badly he took the mission. Upon arrival at his mission destination Gem was instantly located and found before Gem could even get a location on anyone in the village. Gem then met the village protector, who was in fact - the very source of such unidentified massive power level. Gem found him to be slightly rough around the edges, but not hostile. The personality Gem seen was found to be based off the previous interactions with USD in the past. They had a decent conversation, and Gem agreed to try to stop getting the USD to investigate the village. Gem left the mission as a success - but put in a hearing request at his job for that specific request. It took a long ass process to get the date, but afterwards USD kept pushing it back - so our favorite Demon kind of stopped looking forward to it. Until today. Gem ran through his apartment like the DC Flash to change into something more presentable. The camera doesn't even follow him into his apartment this time, because Gem was in and in less than 6 minutes - Gem was out the window. Usually Gem had a golden role to never go out of the window, but this was such serious business the man jumped and flew straight out the window. And like a bird, like a plane - Gem was off in standard black security gear to meet the politic team that was going to advise Gemikai's requested case.

Gemikai descended upon the building that GPS found to be another location. Gemikai made his way inside no problem, and was requested to wait in the waiting room. Gemikai sat down and finally noticed how the interior looked like a court house. The design, multiple meeting rooms, and receptionist. You just wouldn't think it's a place for USD - but then again once you get inside you really could. The exterior of the building didn't have a logo and looked a little beat up - Gem was guessing the illusion was part of the protection. Gem was almost quickly called in after he was stationed in the waiting room.

Gem was escorted through a few hallways before a room was presented before him. This room was big, white, and had many chandeliers - it really made you swallow your spit. The lower part of the room was filled with mostly human judges. It seemed to be a Namekian in there. Gemikai is looking at a line full of judges, and a seat where he could only guess is where this will all take place.

Attendant:

"Greetings Gemikai and welcome to your hearing appeal. These judges are not going to be speaking this hearing. They will be present and judging - but they won't be speaking. Please sir have a seat so that we may begin."

The Attendant looked so sharp in a classic black and white suit. It almost looked like a man working the wrong job, but with how he speaks - a person can smell high ranking on him. Gemikai was also getting used to seeing the human culture with USD, and how uppity they can be on their end. Gem prayed this wasn't some attempt to make an example out of a younger and newer member of the organization. Because this scene was perfect - for targeting and breaking someone inside out. Or by shining light on their energy and letting them shine. One way to find out.

Gemikai continued to scan the room visually as his body slowly walked towards the empty seat. The empty seat in front of judges of the USD. It was so many questions a curious fellow could ask, but even some of this felt briefly familiar. It all felt so confrontational, and with no way out - only way out is forward. Gem took a seat and the ceiling lights took a chance of focus - the show was beginning. Gem kept repeating how dramatic all of it was - but his optimistic side was open to USD having a chance to see him. Not as a grunt agent but a serious member of the team. Gem took a deep breath so strong the room full of people didn't speak - they just watched as the young warrior grounded himself. As his eyes opened everyone knew it was time.

Attendant:

"Thank you. If you don't mind. Can you tell us the details of your mission that is causing for such a direct request."

Gemikai:

Attendant:

"This man on scene was aware of the Liari attack??"

Gemikai:

Attendant:

"Did you investigate the village after you and him meet?"

Gemikai:

Attendant:

"How can you confirm he isn't a threat to earth?"

Gemikai:

Attendant:

"Why doesn't he just join The Syndicate?"

Gemikai:

The lights in the room started to flicker, conversations were thrown around the room, and the blinks of attendants and judges talking became the main thing of the movie. Gem stayed in his chair trying not to feel sick, because who the hell likes to play with the lights like this. Then the room went all black pitch black, which Gem internally screamed dramatic once again. The full white lights came on and everyone but Gem were now in a bow. Gem stood up in confusion because words couldn't find form in his mouth.

Attendant:

"We had much less questions than we thought. Thank you for giving such a prospective. We shall send you our results in time. Thank you for what you do for our planet everyday. We appreciate all your efforts and we know you are different from the other agents. The hearing is now complete - you are free to leave whenever sir."

One Hour Later-

Gemikai had came back to the gym he had left behind for the day. The intensity of the Hearing almost sent Gem back home, but Instead his battle instincts took him back to the training dummy & gym. Gemikai sat down for a second to reread any emails, alerts, or events that could really sneak up on him later like today. Once it was confirmed Gem was caught up in responsibilities the man started to take his clothes off - changing back into his workout clothes with the weights. It was so many random old humans coming out to try to speak to Gemi on his way out of the hearing. Gemikai was sure to never intentionally bring attention to himself other than missions and/or combat. But in a few months time people Gem didn't know were extremely proud of him. It was so many hands to shake - and people trying to give him information Gem was dizzy leaving the building. Popularity was never this salty. But back to the gym - training for success. Gem stepped into the deeper training area and activated the dummy to bring it to life - turned on some Pandora - and gave it a program to warm up the machine. He already used it previously so it wouldn't take long to charge, but Gem always needs to be sure it's ready so he have a harder time breaking It.


The current command was set to block against Gemikai's attacks, and so it went for the transformation, and after mimicking Gems physical features it was already ready to block. Gem launched full speed for a jumping kick to the face. The robot instinct was sharp as it blocked a powerful kick with ease, and Gem was able to forget the world as he remembered why he was training in the first place. Gemikai was training to get stronger, and more than normal strong - strong enough to protect his planet.

The sounds of battle started to kick forth at this point of the training. Gemikai didn't change the commandments, but you could tell the defense the dummy was holding was so solid - it felt the the dummy could perform a counterattack at any time. It's what made Gem decide he wanted to work on his own offensive power for the rest of the training session. That, and working off the pressure of that work meeting - a promise to a new friend completed - and now Gem was starstruck by his reputation that he never asked for. Gem kept the kicking work up as the training continued - this thread - Gemikai felt like it was a kicking leg day kind of training. No using hands at all. This method of training allowed the Martial Artist to create critical kicking power - kicks aren't always a fighters primarily method of striking. Your hands are closer to your brain by default after all; however, those committed to constant kick workshop will expand their natural martial arts exponentially. Gem and the dummy went toe to toe from offense to defense - Gem also forgetting he can push himself as hard as possible regarding this dummy. It was scary how powerful the dummy was compared to anyone on the planet. 

The Hearing was successful. Gemikai went back to training, and deep down was sure they would probably approve his request. Meanwhile Gem is getting stronger each time he faces this training dummy. What challenge will he conquer next? Stay tuned - on the next episode of Dragon Ball Horizon.
