Hunting the Dragon Balls up to this point hasn't been easy, while Arctic did have a Dragon Ball Radar on hand, it lacked the calibration and precision to put him right at a Dragon Ball. While it put him within a radius of one, he still had to do extensive searching and with the Namekian's bound and determined to keep the Dragon Balls out of the hands of people like Arctic, it had turned out to be a very time consuming activity. While frustrating, it wasn't surprising. The Dragon Balls had been told to have incredible power, they could grant any three wishes and their uses were many. They were tools that could be used for great good or great evil, and everybody knew that Arctic was only here for one purpose, himself. His wishes would consist of making himself the biggest threat to the other universe, to make him the supreme ruler of all of it. It was very possible that the Namekian's on the planet could stop it before it even got started and while they had been trying their best to prevent such an outcome, Arctic was determined to make them fail in their goals. The Changeling had come to far to fail here. He already had Dragon Balls within his grasp and he wasn't going to let the progress halt now. The only thing left was for him to gather the rest of them and no matter what it cost, he was going to accomplish his task.
While Arctic was leading the search most of the time, he did often have plenty of other soldiers out and about trying to seek their path to glory and wealth. If anybody were to deliver a Dragon Ball to Arctic, they knew that they'd be rewarded with riches and recognition. This had started a friendly competition within the ranks of Arctic's soldiers and everybody had been seeking it. The race was on with everybody trying to get their moment and today was a day that two soldiers had come to butt heads.
"I FOUND IT, IT'S MINE TO GIVE!" The soldier pulled on a magical box from one side of it, his grip never lightening up as he tried his absolute best to keep it from falling into his rivals hands.
"NO, IT'S MINE!" The other moronic soldier exclaimed as he tried to fight for it with even strength. It was sure something else that these two had been completely on par, otherwise this would've been over in an instant. While it was childish, the rewards had been great and given the state of the planet Frost, there hadn't been many opportunities such as this to grow spectacularly in such a short amount of time and to some this was way to good to be true.
Most of these soldiers hadn't the slightest clue in what a Dragon Ball was, Arctic had kept that information to himself and only revealed it to the most trusted within his ranks. The last thing he needed was for all these soldiers to try and find them all for themselves and make the wish. That would be counter productive. Of course, Arctic had one hell of a counter to this as a backup plan and that was himself. Given he already had two of the Dragon Balls, he stood in the way of anybody who wished to seek them for their own wishes. He wasn't going to let that happen.
"What is the meaning of this childish behavior?" Arctic couldn't help but be slightly annoyed as his feet touched down beside the two of the soldiers. This was how his soldiers acted without being in his presence? IT was a complete disgrace to the empire that he was trying to build, it showed a lack of character within his soldiers and surely reduced the lack of faith that Arctic had in these troops. While Arctic landed in his normal posture with his arms behind his back, the two soldiers quickly managed to sort their situation out.
"Oh yeah, It's yours!" The one exclaimed as he shoved it into the arms of the other soldier. Trying to put things to an end and make himself seem to be the more responsible and mature one. Though this wouldn't get him far, it was a very viable option to try and put and end to the situation. Though once the box was out of his hands, the soldier would kneel down to his lord Arctic immediately to show his respects. He was already in a very tight spot, he didn't wish for this to be his last day on Earth. He needed to be calm, cool and collected if he was going to get out of this situation.
While the other soldier had gotten the box, he had toppled over backwards in the most pathetic fashion. Though he quickly scrambled to get to his knees and slide the magical Namekian box forward towards the feet of Arctic. He was now trying to save face. "My lord, the Dragon Radar went off consistently and we found this box! We can't manage to open it but we believe there might be a Dragon Ball inside..!"
As Arctic glared at the box it was obvious that it had been pulled from the rich Namekian soil. Whatever the Namekian's had in this box was worth hiding, so while Arctic was not going to get his hopes up he believed there was a fine chance that it could contain a Dragon ball but until he opened it, he wouldn't find out. It was at this moment that Arctic swiped with his right arm and used one of his few cutting techniques to slash the top of the box right off of it. The box opening effortlessly revealed what was inside. The box had been big enough to hold one of these Namekian Dragon Balls but was that what was going to be inside of it? Arctic was about to find out.
