Though Arctic wasn't often one to get his hopes up a situation had appeared on Namek that slightly lifted his spirits and got him into a hoping mood. He was usually an individual who refused to hope for things, he would simply assess the evidence that was placed before him and make an educated guess on the probability of something and base his emotions off that. In this case, the evidence was little and yet he had managed to find a glimmer of hope. While he had headed off in the northern area of the Planet Namek in search of his own Dragon Ball, a single soldier had flown to him and caught his attention.
Meeting Arctic in the sky, the soldier would quickly speak his mind. "Lord Arctic, I believe we've found the area of a Dragon Ball! The guys are currently working on pinpointing it's where abouts but the radar says we're in the right place!" It was at this point that the soldier had pointed towards the West and towards a handful of little villages that had been on the planet. Now Arctic didn't think that this soldier was lying but he did doubt the capabilities of the troops about actually finding it.
"Go on, lead the way."
It was at this point that the soldier would take point and travel with Arctic towards the location of the Dragon Ball. Whether or not it would be in a village would remain to be seen but no matter where, Arctic was prepared to put the time in to locate it and he wasn't going to gamble the fate of his new universe on the abilities of poorly trained soldiers. His entire future was at stake and his position as a universal overlord, that wasn't something he was going to leave to luck or chance, no. He was going to get involved and make sure every step of the way was certainty. He was on the clock and whether he wanted to admit it or not, he was worried about the time it was taking to seek out the Dragon Balls. This was the second week on Namek and they had only managed to locate one. If that was anything to base his suspicions off of, he would be here for seven weeks if that was the ratio that remained. That would provided somebody else the time to come to Namek and ruin his plans, to get in his way and stop him before he even got started.
It didn't take long before Arctic and the grunt arrived in yet another Namekian village. This was one that Arctic hadn't been too before but the sight on his arrival was rather beautiful. The entire village was rounded up in the center of town and all the soldiers here had been circling them with their blasters pointing directly at all of their chests. Their were elders here, children and none of it mattered. These soldiers had wanted answer.
"TELL US WHERE IT IS, OR ALL OF YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!"
Though a soldier screamed and yelled, all the Namekian's simply lowered their eyes and kept their secret. The elders, the children. Not a single one of them was willing to give up the location of the Dragon Ball to spare their lives, they were more than willing to let themself and everybody else die to keep this secret and while it was admirable, it was also rather annoying to Arctic. Although annoyed, Arctic couldn't help but chuckle as he knew what was about to happen next and it was going to be quite entertaining.
"Open fire, Kill them all."
and with a simple statement from Arctic, all the soldiers would rapidly fire their blasters into the crowd of unarmed Namekian's and bring a swift end to all their lives, all while Arctic stood their watching, his red beading eyes focused on nothing more than the chaos at hand as he embraced and enjoyed every single second of it. The blood, the bodies falling limp, it was a sight he needed. Now while some would've thought this idea unwise, his red beady eyes glared down at his radar that told him there was indeed a Dragon Ball here. He was going to find it without the help of the Namekian's and he wasn't in a merciful mood. He wasn't going to play their games, nor was he going to ask twice. If they wanted to stand between him and his ultimate goal, then they'd die and that's just the mood he was in today.
"Fan out, search every building, turn every rock and leave nothing left undisturbed. Whomever finds the Dragon Ball will be rewarded greatly."
His words of encouragement motivated all the soldiers to fan out quickly and begin their search. All of them motivated by the promise of reward. Whether they knew what it was or not, they dreamed of wealth and status and it could be theirs. All they had to do was find the single orb. While Arctic usually would help, he simply glared at his radar. He was going to give the men a chance to prove their worth and if they failed to do so, he'd execute them himself and find it on his own. He wasn't beyond that, he wouldn't tolerate failure or wasting his time. If they had really wanted to do this right. They would've found it and then brought it to his attention. It wasn't before long that Arctic's impatient attitude had begun to push him into searching for it himself, though just as he was about to begin a voice called out.
"I found something..!"
The voice echoed with confidence as all rushed over to see what it was. Arctic on the other hand, simply paced over slowly. Whether this soldier was going to be punished by death or rewarded for his success was yet to be seen. Was he wasting Arctic's time by a false alarm or did he have it?
