Although it had been weeks since Arctic had sent one of his soldiers on a recon mission to Namek, he didn't completely give up on the cause completely. It may have been nothing more than a mere childs story, but Arctic was determined to get to the truth and find out whether or not the soldier was telling him facts. The soldiers name was Ranga, he had spent many deployments on Namek making sure that the Namekian's continued to work their hardest for the benefit of the Planet Trade Organization. He made sure they those who were just about expended were dealt with and those who could work had kept their motivation. It wasn't a very easy thing forcing those to continue to work but under the promise of survival, the Namekian's would keep pushing on.
The story that Ranga had told Arctic was a rather simple one and it went something alone the lines of this. Essentially, while performing his duties and keeping the Namekian slave labor running at maximum capacity. Ranga had overheard some of the Namekian's discussing one of their most valuable items. They spoke of a set of Dragon Balls, there had been seven of them in total and once they had been gathered together one was able to summon a legendary Dragon and make three wishes. Now of course this would've been something that Arctic would struggle to believe at first but he thought it best to at least research the topic before completely dismissing it.
While Ranga had been off going back to Namek to find evidence that he could provide to Arctic, Arctic had spent a good amount of time researching it himself. He had spent time going through the archives looking for any mention of Dragon Balls in the history of the Planet Frost, though this would have brought him to a dead end. There was nothing recorded that he could find, not even as little as a rumor or legend was to be found. After that had failed him, Arctic would have spent his time speaking to those who were experts on legendary items around the universe, artifacts and godly items. It would turn out, they hadn't known a single thing about it either. In efforts to quicken his search and gather the information he required, Arctic would even have sent a team of his most trusted soldiers to go and gather the information locally, though there was no use. Nothing was turning up about this rumor and nothing seemed certain.
It had appeared that either Rango was telling nothing more than a lie in order to make himself seem significant or that the Namekian's had truly kept these items a secret and Rango was lucky enough to catch them when they slipped up. Arctic wasn't quite sure that he bought it but he would at least give Rango a chance. It had been weeks since the soldier had brought himself into Arctic's gravity chamber and explained this situation and Arctic had his doubts that he would return. Though, if he did and managed to bring him evidence. There would be a very good reward in place for the soldier. He'd get himself some wealth, riches, and respect.
Respect wasn't something that Arctic had given out too easily, though if a soldier were to bring something like this up that was beneficial to Arctic's overall plan, then it would surely be something that was earned. This was truly a big thing, if these Dragon Balls did exist they would make Arctic's plan easy. They would provide him with a short cut not only to grow much stronger but to also find the tree of might seed with little effort. They could potentially be the reason that Planet Vegeta would get erased from existence.
Though, before Arctic could go ahead and make and sort of plans he would need to wait for the evidence to arrive and while he would wait, he still had plenty to do in order to prepare. Arctic knew that he was going to need to get much stronger on his own in order to prepare for the universal conquest that he had planned. It wasn't something that he could hold off on. Though the Dragon Balls would make this step almost irrelevant, he had to prepare himself on what information he knew and had and couldn't take the gamble of waiting on something that might not exist. Arctic needed to be ready to take the fight to the saiyan race and to defend his home planet if needed.
With the threat of the majin lingering and the aftermath leaving the population worried, Arctic's entire political campaign was built around protecting the planet and expanding their resources. He told the population that he was going to return planet Frost to it's former glory. They'd touch all reaches of the universe, enslave everybody who didn't pose a threat and use the slaves to provide them with riches and resources. Though in order to keep his promise and to remain credible until Arctic's plan was set, he would need to be ready to fight anything that came their way. That meant, that if this mysterious warrior who had come and destroyed their kingdom were to return, Arctic would have little to no choice but to face off against them and show his true power.
Until Arctic was solidified as the true leader of the Planet and his own faction eliminated the former Planet Trade Organization, Arctic needed to keep up public appearances and keep their opinion in his favor. He needed their support and needed them to believe he was truly doing this for reasons beyond his own. He needed to continue to act and keep them fooled. Once he was in power, they'd be powerless to stop him, there would be nothing that could be done in order to prevent his will from being done. He would be the ruler of the universe at any expense, even at the expense of his own people. This was Arctic's time. The Planet Trade Organization had years to get it right, they had years of leadership and rulership and it was finally time for that to change.
The current state of the Planet Trade Organization was pathetic, it was merely a reflection of their former self. The faction still retained it's numbers and their general concept of operation hadn't changed much but the extent they'd reach had diminished drastically.
When Arctic was but a child, he remembered even then how they'd operate. Their soldiers were rather strong and determined, they targeted planets all over the universe and enslaved those with resources to take for their own and they'd sell off the ones that wouldn't benefit them much. If a planet wasn't worth the time after conquering it, a mass extinction would take place and the planet would go to the highest bidder. It had been the most effective way for business to be done and it brought it a lot of wealth and resources to Planet Frost. It had been the way the planet had run for hundreds of years but now it had been on a much smaller scale.
The warriors on the Planet were no longer itching to go on deployments and conquer planets, they didn't want to pursuit it like they used to and this would cause them to slack off. The warriors were no longer as strong as they used to be and their motivation had dwindled. Arctic had believed that the reason for this was the fancy lifestyle everybody was brought up in, with a planet full of such entertainment and wealth, people didn't have to work as hard to attain it. It was simply part of their life, their culture. It took the drive away from most.
As far as expanding, there wasn't much of a need for it to be as wide and the last time a new leader had taken over, their focus wasn't on doing things like they had been done for all these years. They minimized, they wanted to save on costs and put that money towards the planet's infrastructure and while in theory, this wasn't harmful at all it did reduce the income coming towards the planet. The profit-to-loss ratio had always been massive, though a lot of money was spent to expand throughout the universe, the return was tenfold. It was an awful was to run a business and it was reducing the profits the planet had and it needed to be changed. Under Arctic's rule the primary reason for everything would be to expand his name throughout the universe, to make all those who heard his name tremble with fear but it would still be plenty beneficial to his own people, even if they hadn't been a priority.
Though he was still early in his planning, things had been going his way. According to the polling charts, he was in favor of a majority of the population and they wanted to see his order take the reins of the planet. His proposed ideals had been something that were more suited for the planet than the current rulership and it showed that they'd be much more beneficial. It wasn't difficult to convince the public of this, given the lack of performance currently displayed by the PTO. This was a very easy campaign to run, when your political opponent was incompetent, they would basically push people your way anyway. Arctic just had to discuss important things the people were concerned about and bait them with the obvious stuff.
With everything going according to plan, it was time for Arctic to get back to the more physical part of his training. He could have all the followers he wanted and become the ruler of the planet and universe but it would all mean nothing if he wasn't strong enough to maintain it. He would need to make sure he was going to be strong enough to eliminate all threats to his home world and eliminate all the fighters who would try to defend their own planets and this was a goal that wouldn't be so easy to attain.
Though he wasn't going to admit it out loud to anybody close to him, the rumors of what these Super Saiyans could accomplish was rather concerning to him. He had been in conflict with the saiyan's a great many a times and never once did he experience something like that, the most they had ever displayed to him was the mighty Oozaru form and even that wasn't a form that could rival any of his. It had brought to mind a very simple question to him. Were these saiyan monkeys evolving or was this just something that they had kept hidden for all these years? He wasn't quite sure he knew the answer to this question but he knew that he had to be strong enough to take on multiple at a time. There was truly no count on how many might have this form, but he was going to need to kill them all.
In all of his years and battles throughout the universe, there had been no transformation or warrior that had concerned him quite this much. It was going to need to be dealt with strategically and he was going to make sure that this super saiyan form couldn't even scratch him. He wanted to remind the saiyan's that even with this new power up, they were insignificant to him, they were weak and pathetic and wouldn't stand a chance against what he was going to become. He had to be ready, he knew that when he made his move on Planet Vegeta, he'd likely come into contact with one and he felt like when he went to the Earth, he'd meet his fair share of them there. He was going to need to be ready, create a new form and kill them all. They'd be the perfect test and when they were killed, the perfect deterrent for all of those around.
Surely, if he were to display brutality and make the super saiyans helpless. Nobody would WANT to fight him. His name would be feared throughout the galaxy as one who eradicated the Super Saiyan warriors. Once they were defeated, who would be strong enough to challenge his might? The Earthlings? The Namekians? The remaining Ceralians? He'd have nothing to oppose him, not even Frosts attacker would be able to stand up against him on their own. He was going to be the ruler of the universe and there wasn't going to be anything powerful enough to stop him. They'd all die by his hand, every single warrior who thought they were powerful enough to protect their home would die.
Though this was only a dream in his current state, today was another day that was going to be dedicated to making it a reality. It was just about noon hour on planet Frost and Arctic had spent the morning preparing his political speeches, organizing events to gather even more followers to his cause and he had spent some time researching both the Dragon Balls and the Tree of might. While some of this had been beneficial and successful, others were not. Though with nothing else scheduled for the rest of his day, Arctic was determined to get himself into a gravity chamber and keep on training.
He still had a long way to go but as long as he continued to work at it, he believed that he'd get there. Even without the help of the Tree of might or the Dragon Balls, he knew he'd become the ruler of the universe and the most feared name in the galaxy. That would lead him to head to the gravity chamber for the rest of the afternoon. He wouldn't allow himself to become distracted by the politics or the people, this time was going to be his own. A time to reflect on his own strength and to increase it drastically. He was motivated and focused, every aspect of his future power in the forefront of his mind. The extinction of the mighty Super Saiyan warrior by his own hands, it drove him to train hard.
Now all he had to do was get to it. With the rest of the day dedicated to training, he knew that by the end of the day, his power level would increase dramatically. He felt like he was already the strongest being who lived on Planet Frost but this training would solidify that position with nobody even close to rivaling him. He couldn't help but be tempted by the idea to just conquer the planet by force now, but that would show his hand early and he knew that no matter how weak the soldiers and the population were, he'd need them to do their jobs, to run their tasks and do the work that he'd never want to do. He needed them.
Now that Arctic had found himself in his gravity chamber, it was time to get to work. Today was going to be rather simple routines, he didn't have any techniques that he wanted to learn or perfect nor did he have any plans on how he was going to maximize his gains in the gravity chamber. This time around, he was essentially going into the gravity room without a plan. Though that wasn't the worst thing either. Given that he didn't have any solid plans for this training session, he figured that it would be the most beneficial just to keep it to the basics. Allow himself to move and practice what he had already practiced countless times before. He wasn't exactly after honing his skills but the fight against the gravity itself would be more than enough to increase his power and that's what he wanted. He wanted to leave this room much more powerful than he walked in, nothing more, nothing less and it would make this training session rather stress free. There wouldn't be any developing of techniques or spamming them until he got it just perfect, there would only be himself and the gravity and all the time in the world. That was something that he'd be very pleased with and as long as there were no useless interruptions, he'd maintain that feeling.
Of course, he couldn't control who'd walk into the room or try to disturb him but he knew that it better have been important if they did. There was nobody he wanted to see nor did he have any appointments, so the chances of being interrupted were slim but not quite impossible.
As he centered himself in the room, Arctic couldn't help but take a glance over at his training dummy. It was a device that had actually managed to stand the test of time and he debated on using it, but he knew that it's purpose had been served. There was little to no additional benefit of using that anymore. It was simply far too weak for him now, it couldn't keep up with his speed or strength and it would immediately be destroyed if he were to try to use it to train. Though the thought of using it may have been a good one, he opted to decide against it. He truly had no other choice than to keep this training to himself, to keep it simple and to work hard to accomplish what he was after here. He knew that if he just worked hard and kept himself moving under the full weight of the gravity, he'd accomplish his goals for the day. He just needed to get started. He thought it best to get started right away, his time was more valuable than most and he did have to get a lot done in a short period of time. The sooner he got this under way, the stronger he'd be by the end of the day and that's what he needed.
"Gravity, Activate to your maximum capacity." and it was with that single request that it was time to get started. The gravity chamber had turned it's lights to a shade of red to illuminate the room and to signal that it was currently in use and the gravity would immediately activate to it's maximum. Currently, now that Arctic had purchased his own ship the maximum gravity that he could use was one hundred twenty five times. Though it was plenty, it wasn't the best model. He was still saving for that.
With the gravity now activated, Arctic could feel it pushing down against his shoulders trying to bring him to the ground. He had found himself in his first form with his Super Heavy Weighted training weights equipped and was ready to get this going. Now, this level of gravity wasn't exactly enough to bring Arctic down to his knee's but he could without a doubt feel it trying it's best. This wasn't something that was effortless for him yet and it would demand he try in order to keep his balance and push himself to his limits. Though he wished it was the best model, this would be more than enough to provide him with a solid workout for now. It was a shame that Daru had taken her ship and vanished into the stars, otherwise he would've had a top of the line training area to work at.
It was odd for Daru to vanish that way, without saying a single word. Arctic couldn't help but believe that they were a little closer than that but Arctic also knew that Daru must've had her reasons. Maybe she was off chasing something useful to their cause or maybe she was simply chasing her own ambitions. Whatever it was, Arctic wasn't going to want her punished for it, unless of course she was now working against him. Though that last though came with plenty of doubt, he couldn't rule it out completely. After all, it was the very first time Daru had ever pulled something like this. Usually there was an open line of communication, she'd tell him about her plans and where she was going but this time, well it was far too different. Arctic didn't exactly like it but there wasn't anything he could do about it now except try and replace her. He couldn't be certain whether or not she'd come back to his side or if he'd ever actually see her again, but he was certain that he needed people like her working under him to insure that his rule would run smoothly. He needed leaders on every planet he conquered and wish to keep and people like her were ideal. Strong, loyal and ready to serve. That's what he needed. Everybody like that would be rewarded greatly, even given their own planets to command. Of course, those planets would be under the Galactic Order of Frost but they'd have the freedoms to run it how they saw fit. Though this was ideal, it would be a difficult task for trustworthy people were hard to find these days.
With his focus shifting back to what he was in here for, Arctic didn't waste anymore time before getting to work. He had a lot of progress to make if he was going to go toe to toe with a handful of Super Saiyans, plus there were other threats in the universe that he wasn't quite sure about. He had to be ready to face them all. It was at this point that he immediately got to work. He began moving himself around the room at such a rapid pace. His fists moving quickly as he began throwing rapid punches as if he were fighting a real opponent. He'd allow the Super Heavy Weights and the gravity to do their work as he resisted their attempts to slow him down and bring him to the floor. Though, he simply wasn't going to allow that to happen. He was far too strong to give into that, far too powerful to allow it and even if he was weaker, his ego wouldn't let him fail, not to artificial gravity.
His species had been known to be superior to most and the history of his race had always put them on top, above countless other races as they were the ones who'd put their foot down and all others would flee in terror. He had to keep this up. No single super saiyan would be enough to kill him, the one who attacked his planet wouldn't be enough to kill him and surely, the gravity wasn't going to be enough to bring him down. That wasn't how this was going to go.
However as he rapidly moved around the room, he began to picture a situation that he knew he'd eventually find himself in. He visualized himself going against a Super Saiyan warrior, though this warrior was faceless and fictional, it gave him more of a purpose. Each and every single punch that he was now throwing was being swung with a purpose beyond training, with a reason far more beneficial than just getting stronger, he was now practicing to kill his enemy, he was motivated by it, pushed beyond what he thought possible as he found himself sharper than ever before. This was training that would all come in handy, training that he would need in order to bury the saiyan warriors.
His punches continued though through them Arctic would now be throwing in some powerful and devastating kicks to mix up his combinations against this mental opponent. Though Arctic had found himself in countless battles throughout the years, he had never quite found himself so determined to win as he was now. Before, he was always just working for somebody else but now he was truly trying to step out into the spotlight for himself. He was going to be the one that everybody in the universe feared and nobody else was going to take that away from him. Every punch he continued to throw was getting sharper and sharper, fueled by the pure purpose in his head of becoming the universes biggest terror. He was going to rule it with an iron grasp and there wasn't going to be anything that could stop him. He was going to make sure of this. Arctic refused to slow down, his speed continued as he threw more and more attacks towards this artificial enemy that he created in his head.
He could feel himself began to sweat lightly as his body was being put to the test under the gravity, though his determination and willpower was never stronger. The character in his head that he was fighting against now was no longer just a blank pallet, no longer an unidentified fighter. It was now the Queen of the Saiyan race herself, in the golden form that he had heard about in the reports. The target that he most wanted to eliminate. Killing the Queen of the Saiyans, would put him in a very good position with his people and his name would spread rapidly throughout the universe. Though it wasn't just her that was going to die. Arctic had every single intention of removing Planet Vegeta from existence. He wanted to eliminate the chance of more super saiyans showing up and trying to overthrow him for killing the Queen. The Queen, she was simply going to be the start of it. Planet Vegeta was going to be the moment where he showed his hand to the universe and let it be known WHO he was.
He was fueled by this idea, every second he struck the target the more sharp his attacks had become. He wasn't even consumed by his very own ego at the moment, he was purely fueled by winning. Of course, when it came to the real thing there would be a brutality to it that words couldn't describe but for now, he had to do without a living plaything. His power was increasing by the moment, he had felt himself getting stronger as he refused to slow down. He had picked his tempo and held it strong.
He had found himself having quite a bit of fun with this too, it wasn't often that he got to let out all of this stress in this way. He couldn't wait for the real thing. He could only imagine what it would be like to blow off all his stress against a real opponent, one that were helpless to his power and not just one that had been a fictional creature in his head. He knew the time was going to come soon where he'd really figure out how that felt.
Though the gravity had continued its attempts to wear him down, Arctic wasn't going to give in in the slightest. Even if he could feel his muscles start to get sore, like they wanted to slowly start to fail him and give into the pressure, he wasn't going to allow that. He had to treat this as if it were a real fight, that's where the benefits were going to come in. He had to find himself a method of staying on task no matter what the odds were going to be. He couldn't just want to give in because the fight was getting too difficult or challenge, he couldn't surrender because he was in pain and his muscles were sore. He had to make sure that he'd fight until the very end and if an opponent had brought him to this point, he would need to make sure that they were going to suffer. There wasn't anything else he wanted to do.
Arctic would keep his training going for a few more hours, he wasn't ready to come to a stop yet. His motivation and determination was more than enough to keep him training at peak performances. He was currently in the process of showing himself exactly what he could do if he set his mind too it and it was truly astonishing, even to him. He had been put to the test before but never like this, never a test of endurance and determination and he was exceeding all of his expectations. He found it difficult to believe just how powerful he had become in such a short amount of time but it only fueled him further. If he had gotten this strong this fast, how far could he go?
Was he nearing the point of conquering the universe already or was that still a long way off? He wasn't quite sure, but he did know that he wasn't going to stop his training anytime soon. If he had kept this up for a few more months, he'd be in the best shape of his life and nobody would be able to defeat him. Not the one who attacked Frost and certainly not the Queen of the Saiyans. He'd find himself unstoppable and the best part, was if these Dragon Balls did exist. He'd really solidify himself as the most powerful warrior in the universe, he'd be unrivaled. Though the thought was amusing, he couldn't count on it because for now, that was still nothing more than a mere fairy tale. It was something that didn't have any truth to it, nor evidence concluding to it. He wasn't going to simply just go chasing a rumor, he needed some kind of evidence. One thing Arctic couldn't have known for sure, was the evidence was going to be delivered to him today. It was on the way right this moment as he continued to train for the next few hours, practicing and sparring as the hours on the clock continued to go by. He had already felt himself unstoppable at this point and he wanted to build off it, he wanted to use that feeling to keep on going. He needed to be strong.
Though Arctic would carry on his training for a few more hours, he would eventually find himself being interrupted. He wasn't exactly one who liked to be interrupted in such a manner but the one who interrupted him would've been more than welcomed to do so in this case. He may have wished for it to be Daru with information about the Tree of Might but the fact was, that wasn't a likely scenario anymore. She was currently lost to the stars for all he knew but instead of it being his dear Daru, it was somebody who knew that failure meant death and for him to even arrive her like this meant that he must have had something.
Rango had found himself walking into Arctic's gravity chamber with confidence, though unlike the last time the soldier had managed to walk through the gravity with little to no difficulties. Sure, he may not have been putting himself to the test and training in it but the fact that he could stand tall was rather impressive to Arctic, especially given the last time all but a month ago, Rango had found himself dropped to his knees under the weight of it all. It had showed Arctic that Rango was training and actually putting his all into becoming a stronger and more useful warrior. Something that was rather quite rare these days. If Rango would have had the information Arctic wanted, he may have proved himself to be a very useful underling to have within the faction.
Coming to a stop Arctic would've landed in front of Rango and put his hands behind his back. He took his casual pose as his red, beady eyes glared over at the soldier. "I must say, Rango.. I didn't quite expect to see you again. I thought you had run off in effort to spare your own life." Of course, Arctic was talking purely of how Rango brought the whole Dragon Ball thing up. It was something that had seemed very unlikely, something that couldn't possibly be true. "I do hope you've brought some sort of evidence with you."
It was at this point that Rango had willingly took a knee, it wasn't the gravity that did it but simply his own choice. He was showing Arctic the respect required in order to salvage his own life. He knew that with Arctic, even the simplest of mistakes could mean death and he wasn't going to gamble with his own life, not like that. Even if he had very valuable information, there was a chance that Arctic would brutally blast a hole in his chest once the news was delivered.
It was at this point that Rango nodded his head. His head then shifted down as his eyes watched the floor. "I've got the evidence you required, my lord Arctic. Though rather than tell you, I'd much rather just show you." It was at this point that Rango would've shifted his right arm in front of him and with his left hand pressed a button. Immediately a hologram recording of two Namekian's would've played and within this recording, they had passed a four star Dragon Ball from one to another and discussed it.
The Namekian's in the video had voiced their concerns about the shift in the Planet Trade soldiers nearing the location of where this Dragon Ball had currently been hidden and for safekeeping, it was best that they moved it to prevent it from reaching the hands of their enemies. It wouldn't be ideal of the PTO had gotten their hands on it. The Namekian's had also discussed making a wish, though that information had been rather irrelevant, it did confirm that they existed and a wish could be made.
It was at this point that Rango carried on a little further to explain himself.
"I did return to Namek as you requested to find evidence. While these two Namekian's were worried about the normal patrols and soldiers, they had no idea I was tailing them and that's how I got this. As you see, my lord. The Dragon Balls do exist."
Arctic couldn't help but grin lightly as he took a few steps towards Rango. "You've done well Rango. I thought for sure that these Dragon Balls were nothing more than a story but now I see, they're essential to my plan." It was rare for Arctic to give such praise but it was something that was well deserved. It wasn't exactly often that a mere soldier was able to bring such information to Arctic, something so valuable and useful. This was information unlike any other that Arctic had ever received before. These Dragon Balls could be a complete game changer, something that changed the entire future of the universe. He knew immediately that he needed to pursuit them and there wasn't anything that was going to get in his way, though he did have yet another question for the loyal soldier.
"Tell me Rango, Did you follow them and record the location of this Dragon Ball? Arctic would've given Rango a stern look at this point. His red beady eyes glaring coldly at the soldier. This was something that was going to be important, after all, if Arctic could've located them because they were hidden, this information would have been as useful as originally thought.
It was at this point that Rango shook his head. "No my lord but I did manage to do even better for you." It was at this point that Rango pressed another button on the device mounted to his forearm and it displayed a holographic map of Namek. "While i was near the Dragon Ball, I scanned it for it's energy signature and learned that they give off a very specific energy. I managed to program that into my own personal scanner and have the means to create a.. Dragon Radar if you will."
It was at this point that Arctic couldn't help but smile. He was definitely impressed with the outcome of this. Rango had proven useful, he wasn't a liar and he went off on a mission and came back successful. He even blew away all expectations here. However, he still had something else to deliver. He had to provide Arctic with one of these Dragon Ball Radars. "How long might it take to create one of these Dragon Ball Radars?" Arctic would ask with a rather impatient tone.
It was at this point that Rango would finally lift his head and glare up at Arctic. "Now that I'm back on planet and have the resources available, I should be able to have a working prototype in a few hours, my lord."
Arctic couldn't help but be completely impressed with this one single soldier. Not only did he go off and actually accomplish his mission but he had also taken enough pride in himself to get stronger in such a short amount of time. People like this simply weren't in the Planet Trade Organization anymore, they were a rare gem that was extremely difficult to find. Not only did this soldier take his own strength seriously though, but he had also saw an issue with finding the Dragon Balls and immediately delivered a solution to tracking them down. Rango had proven to be more useful than most, he was strong and rather smart and Arctic could see him appointing Rango with a duty greater than most if this trend were to continue.
Arctic couldn't help but grin again. This was truly a unique situation, one that he would almost call himself blessed to receive. Rango could've every easily made the effort to gather these Dragon Balls all on his own and make a wish on his own behalf, but he didn't. He decided to pass this information along to his superior, somebody that he obviously supported and respected. Maybe this soldier did buy into Arctic's nonsense on the political side of things, regardless.. Arctic was rather grateful for it all. This was a one in a life time soldier, one that earned himself a reward in the near future.
"If you keep this up Rango, You shall be greatly awarded and may even find yourself with a place at my side. Good work." Arctic couldn't help but pause for a moment as he thought about this whole situation. "I want that Radar complete by morning, that's when we depart for Namek." With no other discussions or debates, Arctic had made up his mind about going to Namek immediately. There really wasn't any time to waste here, the faster that he had managed to get the Dragon Balls, the faster he could go through with his plans. He'd get so strong from making wishes that nobody would have time to prepare for what was to come, he could lay waste to the universe as he pleased and there wouldn't be anybody able to stop him.
This was almost like a dream come true. It was funny, at first he believed that this couldn't be any more than a legend or a childrens store but it turned out that it was completely true and once he confirmed it, he was off chasing them. He had hoped he'd have little to no difficulties tracking down the Dragon Balls but he had to assume he'd be there for a while. Luckily, in politics he had more than enough people to cover for him and to preach his plans to the planet. The only worry that he had, was getting his hands on the Dragon Balls now.
Rango would finally reply to his lord. "Yes sir, I'll deliver it once it's finished." It was at this point that the soldier got to his feet and made his way out the door. He had a very busy night ahead of him, he wasn't going to sleep until this Dragon Ball Radar was delivered. He didn't want to let Arctic down now, especially when he had already left such a good impression. He couldn't ruin it, he had to keep this up. He wanted the rewards, he wanted riches and most importantly, he wanted a position of power. Something that he could use his own mind to influence what was going on, that's really what he wanted most. Rango was tired of being a regular old soldier, it was time to move up in the ranks.
"Perfect." As Arctic stood in the gravity, he observed the soldier leave. Though this entire thing had changed his plans, they had changed them for the better. It provided him with an opportunity to skip a large portion of training and to get the tree of might sooner. Arctic couldn't be more happy.
It wasn't very often that Arctic would feel like this but at the same time, it wasn't very often that something like this would reveal itself to him. This could change the entire balance of the universe in his favor. This could make him the most powerful thing. In less than a weeks time, he could be destroying Vegeta if he had managed to gather all the Dragon Balls. He knew he was going to have his work cut out for him regardless of whether he found them or not, but he was even more motivated than before. He knew that he was going to keep up on his training, he wasn't going to stop. Even while on Namek, he was going to keep training in his gravity machine.
He had a long way to go and just because he thought he could wish for power, doesn't mean he was suddenly going to start slacking off.
Arctic would remain alone in his thoughts for a short period of time, thinking about Namek and the adventure to come. He knew he was going to gather up a good number of his supporters to crew his ship and to provide assistance on the ground. He knew that he wouldn't meet any resistance as the planet had been enslaved for so long and the PTO soldiers that worked there weren't going to try anything either, but the numbers would help.
It brought Arctic joy to head to another Planet, it had been far too long since he had managed to go off world for an assignment. What made this better, was that it was all for himself. Everything was for him and every decision that would be made was going to be his own. There wasn't anything that could get in the way now. He didn't need to listen to somebody else tell him no, or only do so because somebody else ordered him. This was ALL about him. For the rest of the night though, he'd finish with a little bit more training and then organize his crew. There would be lots to do in order to leave for Namek in the morning.
He was going to have to supply the ship, fuel the ship and gather his numbers. Of course, most of this was going to be done by those below him but it would require time and time was the one thing Arctic didn't want to waste. His entire future was now within his grasp and he didn't want to delay it for another minute. The Changeling couldn't help but feel like his destiny was right there in front of him. It wouldn't be long now, until he had everything he wanted with nobody to stop him, with the motivation high as ever before though. Arctic would get right back to his training session without further delays.
Who could've ever thought that Namek was the planet to give one all the answers, to make somebody infinitely powerful. The planet's population was slowly depleting as the Namekian's exhausted themselves working for the PTO. One would think that they'd use their Dragon Balls in order to change their fate, yet they had refused up until this point. Their delay would give Arctic his one opportunity to seize it, his one chance to claim them for his own. The Namekian's of course wouldn't ever known what was about to hit them, the pain that they'd be going through. No matter what they tried to do, Arctic wouldn't let them stand in his way. They would have to give him the Dragon Balls or they'd die trying to hide them. There wouldn't be an option in between. It was going to be one or the other.
Less than twenty four hours.. and Arctic would be on his way there, on the way to claim everything he ever wanted, everything that he felt he deserved. It couldn't come fast enough. Planet Vegeta would be destroyed, even Earth would be conquered, it would all be his for the taking and nobody would be able to tell him otherwise. He was fully in control of his own destiny, fully able grab it. He couldn't wait, the moment he had waited for, for far too long was right there before him.
The excitement within Arctic was beyond real, it was a feeling he hadn't ever quite experienced before. Sure, he may have been excited in the past when he was punishing his enemies, tormenting them and ripping them apart but this was different. This excitement wasn't coming from a place of brutality, from an external gratitude of being able to torture somebody. This was coming from a place where Arctic knew he was about to get every little thing he wanted. Not only was he going to become the most powerful thing in the universe, but he was also about to become the ruler of the universe. This is what he had been chasing for so long, this is exactly what his political party had been driving towards, or at least what the face of it was.
He was going to put himself in the position to do whatever he wanted, to become whatever he wanted and there wasn't anything in the universe that would be strong enough to tell him no. It wasn't just that though, he was rather excited to leave the Planet and go on his own little adventure. He knew that it would be quite the experience. He hadn't been to Namek in a really long time, it was going to be nice to see the progress, how the Planet was mined and picked for all it's resources while the Namekian population suffered and to add to that, there was going to be plenty of Namekian's for torturing, to making an example of. The more Arctic would think about this, the more he thought of this little trip as being more of a vacation than work.
After all, what could be better than killing off countless weaklings who try to be strong? Try to deny what you demand from them? He knew that the Namekian's would do whatever they could to keep their precious Dragon Balls safe. They wouldn't want them falling into the wrong hands and they had tried so hard to keep it that way, just for a little slip to make all their efforts irrelevant. Their efforts wouldn't end there, for when Arctic made his presence known and his reason public, they'd most likely stop at nothing to prevent their sacred items from being abused.
It wouldn't matter what they tried though, with the Radar that Rango was going to provide Arctic with, he'd be able to seek them out in real time easily and kill anybody who physically tried to stand in his way. This wasn't going to be something that Arctic would allow to happen. They were already his whether the Namekian's liked it or not. The only real question was, how many of them were going to be stupid enough to stand in his way and forfeit their own lives to the cause? He couldn't help but assume that plenty of them were going to do that, but he'd kill them all without hesitation. Anybody who stood between him and the Dragon Balls were going to be standing in the way of his destiny. It was his to take and nobody had the right to stop him. This was everything he had been working towards for his entire life and it was right there, finally within reach.
Though while Arctic had thought about all of this, he wasn't going to stop his training session. The night was fairly early and he still had time, when he concluded his training he would simply give the order to prepare the soldiers and the ship for the trip. While he slept his soldiers could manage that.
Being in the Gravity Chamber still with his Super Heavy Weights equipped, Arctic would go back to doing what he was doing earlier. He would go back to Shadow boxing an imaginary opponent. Though now that he was more motivated, his movements were even sharper as he was mixing it up. He wasn't just going on an offensive, but he was moving his body rather elegantly as he went to avoid imaginary strikes. He was doing anything from back flips to side steps as he rapidly moved around the room. It had almost seemed like his speed was even improving even with the weight and gravity against him. He had even managed to find that this whole thing was getting much easier for him as his movements were just smoother overall.
It had appeared that the work he was putting into the Gravity Chamber on a weekly basis was truly paying off, it would seem that in the end that the Dragon Balls wouldn't be necessary in order for him to reach his goals. He would just need this amount of effort and time. If he had kept this routine up for a few months, he'd get to that unbeatable level that he dreamed of all on his own but of course the Changeling was far too impatient for that. He wanted that now. Why would he want to wait for it? He felt like he deserved it now for the years of support he put into the PTO. He didn't care if this power would be earned or wished for, he just knew he wanted it. If anybody were to judge him, it wasn't like their opinion would matter, for those who didn't support him would find themselves on the receiving end of his death beam and it was just that simple.
He wasn't a warrior type, though he knew how to fight and took pride in it. He didn't take pride in the fact that it was his own effort and strength that got him there, to him, winning was the most important thing of all and there wasn't anything that he wouldn't do to accomplish his goals and get to where he believed he needed to be. While saiyan's had their pride, Arctic had his smarts and he'd much rather be smarter than the average monkey and get his power from an alternative method to training. It didn't matter where his power came from, so long as it put him at the top.
Why would he care if those who he defeated thought it was unfair? He was the one in control of their fate. Those who questioned him would simply be removed, killed, and exterminated. The only life that would truly have value in his universe was his own and nothing would change his mindset. All others would be expandable, a toy for him to entertain himself with. If they had the ability to wish for this level of strength, this level of power? Surely, they'd do the same. The only difference was, Arctic was going to get to that level first and he wasn't going to allow anybody else to get there.
He knew that once he acquired this power, there were going to be those who would try and take him out. Those who would train endlessly in order to outmatch him and put him in the ground but he wasn't going to permit that. Anybody who could be a threat would be removed. He wasn't going to gamble with the powers he acquired. He would be more powerful than a god, he had every right to make these decisions.
Though he hadn't even received the power he had wanted yet, his ego was running away from him. In his head, he was making decisions that hadn't even come to cross his path yet. He was getting a god complex and one that was likely going to be shattered at the first sign of defeat.
Arctic would spend the next little while keeping up his training, he didn't slow as his motivation and determination had remained on the highest level he had ever experienced them on. He had wanted to make the most of this very high energy and didn't want it to go to waste. It wasn't very often that one would manage to be motivated by such news. The Changeling would continue to train until roughly 22:00 hours. It was at that point where he'd shut down the gravity machine and get to work finalizing the preparation orders.
Of course, he thought about this while he was training but he needed to make sure all of the orders were going to be passed on throughout. He needed his soldiers woken up and on task, prepping the ship to leave in the morning. Though Arctic wasn't going to have a set time on it. He was going to leave whenever he woke up and felt ready. This would give the soldiers roughly half a day of preparation time. Arctic though that was reasonable enough. After all, it wasn't like it was going to be a very hard job at all. They just had to stay on task and round up the crew and resources.
With Arctic finally leaving his Gravity Chamber, he made his way to his own personal office and took a seat at a very high tech desk. With a very simple press of a button he called one of his more reliable soldiers. This certain individual was ranked only a few below Arctic within the Order.
"Yes, Lord Arctic?" The voice over the radio came in rather tired as it was almost late at night. It was a time that most people had found themselves winding down and getting ready for a good night sleep but Arctic was going to throw a wrench in all those plans.
"Prepare the crew and the ship for launch tomorrow morning, for tomorrow.. we leave for Namek."
Arctic didn't have to say much else, this soldier knew exactly what this large task would entail.
The response came through crystal clear and the individual seemed to be a little more awake than before.
"Yes Sir!"
Just like that, the order was given and for some it was going to be a really long night. Countless soldiers and workers within the Order were going to be woken up from their sleep to get to work in order to make this plan a reality. They all knew that failure wasn't going to be an option. If Arctic had wanted to leave first thing in the morning there wasn't going to be a choice, they needed to have the ship fully stocked with supplies and fuel and enough of it to last for months at a time. They didn't fully know how long they were going to be on Namek, the just knew that they were going and the had to be prepared.
For Arctic, he was going to make sure he got a good night sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a very big day for him, even if they weren't set to arrive to Namek within the shorter part of a week, he was rather excited. He was hoping that he could keep up his training while traveling through space, simply to maximize his own gains before touching down but that might've been a lost cause. He could only make the attempt. His brain had been so focused on what was going to come that getting back into the gravity chamber may have just been far too difficult for him to do. Though, tomorrow would tell for sure.
One thing that was for certain about tomorrow though, is that it was a brand new chapter in Arctic's book. A first real step to being where he wanted to be. It also may have been a very sharp turning point in the history of the universe. There was no predicting what kind of ripple effect that this was going to have on the universe but if Arctic had managed to get his way, it was more likely going to be a tsunami instead of a small ripple effect. The very lives on every planet were going to be put at risk for Arctic's own benefit, whether that simply be wealth or fame.
He knew that after this trip to Namek, everything in the universe was really going to be setting off. The Planet Vegeta would be the first to feel his power and the rumours would spread from there. He'd even send a good portion of his men on vacation simply to spread the word after it was all said and done. He wanted to be feared, he wanted the universe to know exactly what was out there waiting for them. He wanted them to know that no matter what they did, they'd be helpless if he ever came to their planet. This was the destiny that had been awaiting him since he was a child, the very thing he had held onto for far too long was on the brink of becoming a very harsh reality to all those around him. This was going to be his time and there wasn't going to be anybody capable of stopping him.
Arctic had been eager before, but never to this degree. He had spent his entire life working for somebody else, hoping to gain reputation and riches but that wasn't going to be the case anymore. This was going to be his moment to turn everything around and take the very top slot in the universe. The whole balance of it all was going to shift. Those who would wish to work for him could and everybody else would either die or be enslaved.
Though Arctic had hoped for a good night sleep, there was a part of him that thought that it was going to be a very long night. How could one sleep after all of this excitement? There was so much adrenaline pushing through his veins that he felt like an excited little kid again. It was a very rare and unique feeling for the Changeling, but one he was going to be holding onto for a while. This was a memory he wouldn't want to forget, one that he was going to carry with him until the end of his days. Even after he gathered the Dragon Balls and made his wish, the two of those events would go hand in hand together for what the shape of the universe will be.
Even if it were unlikely, Arctic would make his way to his own room and get himself ready for bed. There was a brand new adventure in play for the morning and Arctic couldn't wait until it became a reality. He was days away from beginning his hunt for the ultimate power and it was all within reach. The only real question on his mind now, was there anybody that would try to stop him before he reached his goal aside from the Namekian's or was he going to be in the clear to ravage their planet and do what he needed to do?
If there was somebody, all he could do was hope he had prepared himself enough for that fight.
