Today was important mission day. Training by himself has been a boring series of events for Gemikai. Everything he's been doing in USD was some sort of 'training'. Gemi was very excited to go and do his best. Gemi was sent to a room full of humans with basic power levels who were supposed to be higher in rank - but Gemi could tell these guys didn't have a clue on what to do. Let's talk the briefing. Gemi arrived in a room of four humans to discuss an upcoming mission. Gemi was dressed in a modern USD professional uniform and his attitude looked serious and concerning. The table was round but the people occupying it were scared. Gemi could almost always smell fear on people - especially humans. As the demon in human form took his seat and continued to observe the room, the projector started its prepared electronic speech.
Spontaneous Village Investigation Unidentified Potential Threat Unknown Possibility of Threat Need More Information to Proceed
Gemi is extremely talkative but he sat through everyone panicking. The reality of the sayians recent attack created a new world of fear. The stronger fighters were out on their own missions, dead, or another planet. So the new recruits were getting involved not because of skill but because of availability. USD doesn't want to take a chance so they choose the new recruits. Gemi was the newest USD Officer in the room. Everyone else inthe room had been there for years. Gemi concluded it was probably his supervised training that somehow put him in this room. Gemi allowed the fear in the room to cause them to scream at each other to sit for maybe three minutes - before he ended it.
"I'll go alone. I'll report back when I'm done." Spoke Gemi in one of his more serious tones that shot through the air silencing the room for good.
He did get a few "are you sure?"s from the humans but Gemikai politely declined. Gemikai got up from his seat and left the room. I'm not much time to spare Gemikai arrived at his own living quarters. Gemi had no intentions of wearing formal clothes to his solo mission. The 6 foot goodness moved around the quarters changing into his own personal clothing. Blue Cargo Shorts, Black Sleeveless GI, and Black Sandles. Nothing too fancy. Gemi didn't feel like a threat was among the earth. Instincts were telling our favorite fighter to investigate for my own understanding. USD was so shady and Gemikai was not dumb. Gemi went into security guard mode, a mental space where professionalism and personalism is mastered. The USD agent put his USD name tag around his neck and after one last look in the mirror Gemi was off to the mission location.
It was now deeper into the night. Darker. Gemikai was doing a little bit of training along the way, but he made it to the destination. He ended up next to a waterfall base, and Gemikai got as close as possible. The instincts told him this was a solid spot, to attempt the idea Gemikai was thinking on his way to the location. He sent a text message to the USD to confirm his successful arrival, Gemikai put his phone down and began channeling energy.
Gemikai built up a small force of ki into his aura, and with solid control and effort - pulsed an invisible force of energy through the village. This pulse pushed closer to where he sensed the highest lower level the hybrid detected a while back before he made it to the waterfall. The wave was the first knock to the villages protector; however, the second knock was much more unconscious. In his mind he shouted "excuse me. I'd like an audience please. I hope this works.".
The mental thought was Gemikai talking about the wave he sent but because he was channeling energy it turned into a telepathic message. He's been working on telepathy on the low but with nobody to talk to - he has no one to practice with. The demonic energy within him has been growing, and Gemi is learning how to grow with them.So this was an accidental blessing. Something the hybrid won't know he did probably until later. He hoped he got a response - it would suck if it was a bad one but - risk he took for himself and for earth.

Though Athren's most recent habits had been putting him to bed rather early compared to his past life, tonight was rather different. The night sky was black with not even the glow of the moon. There was nothing to illuminate the area aside from the few lanterns in the streets and the crimson lights that were embedded in the river. The day was a much busier day than usual, Athren was contributing more and more with the chores around the town and helping the families out more on an individual level, trying to fill their requests and help them with their needs. He wanted this place to be a very easy place to live, one that didn't require a lot of effort and very few struggles.
Athren had spent most of his life working his way up through the saiyan ranks, trying to become the strongest and the best. Once upon a time he wanted his name to be known, he fought for everything he had and all the pwoer he acquired and he didn't want that life for these fine people. He wanted to give them a different approach at life and with the saiyan being so used to the struggle, so adapted to getting everything the hard way, it was easy for him and if he could save these innocent people from living a life similar to his old one, he absolutely would. Working throughout the day usually tired the saiyan out, but today it gave him more energy than he really knew what to do with so in the middle of the night, Athren would take a moment to train.
He found himself in his ship in the gravity chamber, though it didn't quite give the benefits it used to it was still a very good method to blow off some steam and put his body to work. He knew that eventually somebody would once again come to the planet to cause trouble, blow up cities and even try to conquer it and if nobody else would step up to the plate, he'd have no choice. With Callion gone and the few warriors Athren knew being weaker than him, he really felt like he may have been Earth's last line of defense. It wasn't a position he wanted but it was one he would take if necessary. He knew that Callion was Earth's hero.
Callion had been a selfless warrior, always concerned about others more than himself. He was truly noble and strong. He always tried to see the best in everybody too and would even show mercy in a fight. Athren knew he could never be like that, he didn't have it in him. Though Athren had managed to calm down over the last year and start seeing the brighter more peaceful side of life, he was still a saiyan warrior to the core. He was raised to fight, bred to kill his enemies and never show mercy. He was taught that the strong survive and the weak perish and it was still something he lived by. He knew that he'd never have Callion's moral compass or the abilities to train people as well as Callion but if he could at least set them on the right path and help get them stronger, he'd have to try.
Though while Athren had been training in his gravity chamber, he would've sensed an individual in his village that he hadn't sensed before. Compared to his own strength, this individual was rather weak but compared to a majority of the Earth, he was far above average. Now this wasn't something that was enough to bring any type of concern to Athren but it did bring questions. Most visitors didn't venture through during the night, they'd make their way here during the day and Athren couldn't help but allow the time period of this persons visit to assume that this person was nothing more than a looter, a thief, a trouble maker. He'd have to investigate.
Quickly Athren would lock onto the persons power level and instant transmission a few meters behind them. He'd stare down the person who had been in his village before making himself known. "You know, it's strange for somebody to come roaming through this late at night. I'd explain yourself, and I'd explain quickly."
It wasn't that Athren was necessarily seeking a fight but he was in a defensive mode to protect everything he had build here for the people. They had become the biggest priority in his life and mostly everything he did, he did it for them and nobody was going to take that way from him. They were his people and he'd gladly die for them in an instant if he had too.
Athren's attire was rather simple, it was his casual outfit that he typically wore. Black Tee, Red Arm bands, black pants and currently he would have found himself in his super saiyan form. Of course he didn't transform because of the individual, he was just using it to train but this form and outfit could've been more than enough to make him recognizable.
With the battle of South City and Liari's defeat being very public, there was lots of images and videos captured by those brave enough to stay that caught evidence of the fight and those involved and given Athren was primarily responsible for the defeat of Liari, he may have been well known to the eye, even if his name wouldn't be that well known. Though regardless, at this point there was nothing more to do except for wait for an explanation. Maybe this man had business here or needed help, or maybe he really was up to no good. Athren would just have to wait and see but depending on this mans answer, would depend on how these next few minutes went. He better hope that he wasn't going to try anything, because unlike Callion.. Athren didn't mind finishing his fights without having any sort of mercy.

Contact.
It didn't take long. The entrance of who he believed to be his target was a far better arrival than Gemikai could've imagined. Gemikai felt like an energy vanished - but before his brain could completely process the physical changed something else happened. A voice from behind was heard. There was a decent amount of shock that was revealed on the USD agents face. Hell, the target might've even saw the intruder flinch. That demonic heart of his started getting excited - that fear was there too - but Gemikai never experienced speed like that before. Was it speed? Teleportation? He didn't have time to think about such trivial things. Gemikai had started sensing the incredible power from the individual behind him - it was blinding from a power level like his. Gemikai turned around slowly and in a very undramatic like fashion. As a security type, Gemikai always tries to communicate to defuse unnecessary means of violence. It wasn't long before his fearless energy returned. Gemikai didn't keep the guy waiting.
"My name is Gemikai. I'm a new recruit agent in an organization called the Universal Syndicate Of Defense. I am responding to an incredible power level alert that's been sensed on our radar. But, now that a guy like you have shown up I guess that power must be yours?"
Gemikai raised his USD badge to show his official clearance and status. The intentions weren't to flash off power, but to create a geniune effort to connect to the energy that seems to be an unidentified "issue" with the USD base. USD itself ain't much but becoming some agent of good? He was a little bit proud of it. Gemikai didn't have any support for this mission. If anything happened it was such a risk. The voice of Gemikai was strong and a little heavy. The communicative energy was intentional to be as respectfully as he can, but Gemikai wanted to show a little bit of seriousness. Gemikai didn't know if it was bloodlust or defense, but he trusted that with speed like that the guy could've been made his move. So maybe everything isn't as hard as it looks. The demon didn't sense anyone in the USD area who was strong enough for anything. It's another reason why he went alone. Besides the major reason: a human seeing something they don't like and calling resources to attack something or someone via discrimination, superiority, and unhinged fear. Let's try peaceful conversation first.

Well, it didn't take long for the straight to the point explanation to come out of the mans lips and Athren couldn't help but arch an eyebrow curiously. It would seem as if the USD was taking quite a great interest in him and his little village lately and this would've been the second visit in two months. Though given their relations, it might be possible that Isla didn't decide to pass along much of a report and strictly keep Athren off the books. If that was the case, he'd be grateful but he'd never have the answer to that. That woman had vanished without a trace after their little sparring match. Regardless of that all though, he was now dealing with another visit and he'd be sure to handle it appropriately, though by this point he was getting a little annoyed about the frequent investigations.
Athren couldn't help but nod his head to the mans question and deliver a rapid fire answer to the man. He wasn't necessarily trying to be rude but he was without a doubt wanting these visits to come to a close. He had been here for months and hadn't been doing anything wrong, in fact he was doing everything right and he had laid himself out a righteous and good path. Why were people trying to get in the way of it? Was it their laws and if so, since when did laws dictate what was morally correct?
"You'd be right to assume that the power displayed in the area was mine but what's also mine is the village, it's my home and if you take a quick moment to look around.. You'd see that my power isn't being put to use negatively. So how do we go about concluding these USD investigations?"
In this case, Athren was going to try and work with this guy to put it behind him. He didn't need to be investigated like this. With the lack of knowledge in regards to the Orange City attack and Athren's very public defense of South City, he should've been in good standing with the planet and the USD. Of course he couldn't account for all the variables that may run through the USD's system but he had to have some kind of a point though, right?
Of course, Athren had failed to mention his name and he did this deliberately. Before he got into the pleasantries of a conversation he wanted to show Gemikai that he meant business and wanted to get straight to the point of it all. It would be better for both the USD and the Crimson Rivers for this little thing to end. Now, by no means was Athren willing to make an alliance with the faction this soldier represented but he was willing to come to terms if required. All Athren had to do now was wait to see the situation that he was unwillingly involved in and see what he could do to rectify it.

The power level in front of him was astounding, Gemi was honestly blinded by the man's power level on an internal realm. This was perhaps the first time up close to a power like this in real life. Gemikai could feel the gap between him and the protector of the village and it really threw a wrench in his soul. But before any of that could be processed, the agent couldn't help but notice how fast the guy was moving as the questions were being answered. It was a telling active feature. Also a name wasn't issued but Gemikai could sense this strong energy, like was this guy God or something? The longer he stood the scope of power was trippy for the hybrid. The USD center were right to be scared of this alert on a scale of danger. Not that the protector standing near the waterfall with him was vicious, but Gemikai knows the power of fearful humans. Power like this - Gemikai heard of a few times in his life as a witch boy. But full blown humans are always looking to shoot a rocket at something.
If it were innocent people here, then Gemikai would be responsible for possible "preventative" mass violence. Gemikai knew better than that. The power level was confirmed quickly and as the conversation continued it was revealed that the super godly guy wanted to close the chapter between the village and USD. The new facial expression was surprised. The village guy must've already spoken to a USD agent. The briefing didn't state any prior contact of this location, why else would they all be so scared? But why hide it? Surely a simple report could clear the village from any weird suspicion. Either way, it was Gemikai's turn to make things right. The agent went back to admiring the yellow hair and the battle power. Only for a short bit to allow a proper amount of second to pass before coming up with something to say to keep this going.
"Impressive. Man. Power like this is so unheard of. Wow just...Okay." escaped Gemikai physical vessel as some sort of start to what's going to be an almost complicated situation process."Well, it's unfortunately a harder subject to tackle than just fastly concluding the investigation because I found the source of the power level. I don't mean to pry you from your evening but if you want these Investigations to go your way I'd suggest we have a deeper conversation about the prospective of the USD. If we rush things the USD will get weird and assume the worse. Trust me , neither of us want that. If you're open, perhaps we could assist each other."
The voice was sincere and serious. Eye contact and everything. Gemikai hoped this guy wasn't a hothead, secret villain, or mentally deranged. This investigation has to go smoothly if this village is going to get approved for bypass. Gemikai has the right to report the location was all clear, however, he had to be sure this village was exactly what the guy said he was. Not knowing his name didn't help, but Gemikai was in it for the long run so being extra suspicious in the begining wouldn't help.
Only slightly suspicious would be acceptable for now. For now the agent wanted to break a few things down for the protector - so that in turn - Gemikai could possibly conclude the interview. But Gemikai had to learn to talk freely around this guy or the humans might suspect something when he got back to the living quarters. Can he level with this guy? Or will he blow him off his yard with his amazingly high super power? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Horizon.

Unfortunately, it didn't seem like this investigation was going to go away with a simple request. If it were a perfect world, surely it would've but Athren couldn't get over what reason the USD currently had to investigate him so frequently. His history on this planet was erased completely, there was no memory of him prior to his defense of the city and even during the attack on Orange City, Athren kept himself out of the spotlight. He specifically used his Oozaru form so he couldn't be identified. Surely, no new evidence arose that put him on their radar but it was suddenly seeming like the highest probability at this point. Though he really didn't want to have this debate or be overly cooperative, he'd play the little game for a short bit and at least have a conversation but if the USD didn't start respecting his territory, they'd have issues in the future. Athren didn't want to make the USD an enemy, he didn't want to make anybody an enemy but him and his village had the right to live peacefully without any investigations.
The man sitting before him couldn't quite get over Athren's power level and Athren couldn't blame him. Athren was indeed one of the strongest beings on this planet and could theoretically destroy it with ease. It wasn't that the concept ever crossed his mind but with the Saiyans being on a list and him not registered, it could very well be a reasonable excuse for these visits. He indeed a threat to Earth's security, whether he actually intended to do anything or not. That much could be understood but after his defense of the planet, he couldn't help but think he deserved a little break.
Athren would let the man speak his entire peace, the more information that was dumped at a single moment meant Athren could respond to more questions accurately instead of getting into a back and fourth debate. Athren wanted to understand his case to try and assure him and his faction that he wasn't here to do harm but he also wasn't going to take any orders or tolerate any forms of bullshit and organizations such as the USD often dumped a load of bullshit on the people they'd investigate. Hell, he even went through it with his time with the saiyan army.
"If you're looking for assistance in proving my innocents or my intents, you're not going to get much more than I've already provided. " It was at this moment that Athren's ocean blue eyes scanned around his little village. "The people that live here had nothing, no shelter, no food and I've taken the responsibility to care for all of them. To make sure nobody goes hungry and everybody feels safe and if that isn't enough for you, look at the attack on south city from a few months back. Nobody else could've defeated Liari and protected those people. I did, and I didn't do it for a reward either."
Athren felt that this was a very strong point to look at. Maybe they didn't put two and two together but Athren essentially defended the Planet and vanished to create a home for those who needed it. It really didn't get much easier than that. He wasn't actively training like he used too. Sure, he might've claimed the mountain as his own but he wasn't stopping life from being lived there. It was still an area where people could do as they pleased, so long as they didn't cause trouble.
"If you've got any questions that aren't trying to determine my morality or how much of a threat I am, carry on." Though Athren had a slight attitude with the man before him, he was trying his best to be polite and rather respectful. He wasn't raising his voice or showing any signs of escalation, he was simply trying to get his point across sternly. He was also well aware that this guy didn't run the USD, he simply just worked for them. He couldn't be blamed for these issues.

The agent was locked in a deep discussion with probably easily one of the strongest beings on the planet - hell maybe even the universe. The after training glow was easy to see. Gemikai continued to catch the very first bit of the guys speech in a sense of quickness. An admission to obviously treat Gemikai like a weirdo cop. Gemikai allowed that energy to pass in the moment. The interest to respectfully correct the guy was started by his patience and active listening skills. The warrior was at least confirmed his initial statement took the conversation in a dense direction. Gemikai just wanted to see what the power level threat was about - He was not trying to run down on anyone. But the conversation continues as the mysterious village protector finished his second statement. The interest in Gemikai's face never left as he realized this mysterious stranger was carrying a lot. Secrets, yeah sure like everybody else maybe. But the story he's spitting, the main events that occured a little bit before Gemi got on board. That shit was on the news and people didn't stop talking about it till this day. It's brought a lot of realization to humans who thought they were a super race. To find yet another species to come and smack violence on the home turf was insane. Gemini was actually happy the guy spit his truth. The specific kind of truth that could get the mysterious village protector exactly what they desire. The attitude in the mechanism of communication was noted but the effort to still participate in assisting the investigation was much more valuable and appreciated.
"Woah. I'm sorry, I didn't come out here to press your situation or run you down, man." The physical expression was a playful yeesh sound. Followed by a chuckle to hopefully remind this village protector Gemikai was a person of communication and not control.
This time was far more casual. Gemi wasn't just a USD - He was a good man. Just taking the job because everyone else was too scared to at the time. To impose on a village trying to put itself back together from an attack was not an objective or desire. It was understandable the USD can be known for doing too much sometimes. Or not doing enough. Gemikai turned his focus on the waterfall to admire it's purity. And of course while that's going on the agent went to doing his part to aid the investigation - "My intentions were never to question your morality. Objectively it wouldn't be a bad idea to be curious initially regarding all new people, but no not at all. Again sorry if I came like that. My original goal is to identify the power level & it's area. I completed my mission when I got here and found out it was one fighter here who keeps in shape. The first part of the investigation is complete and concluded. Now let me help you with the second one." - A pause was issued for a second between the two. Realistically to gather more air in his lungs; however, also to prepare the communication Gemikai was going to try to fix this problem laid on his lap. The focus was moving towards the big question in question. Trying to get the USD to stop bothering the village, of course. It would be a lame middle man mission if the mission objective wasn't incredibly strong and protective. It made the mission worth it.
Gemikai finally turned to the village protector to show more attention to the village protectors deepest concerns regarding the USD. "I'm very new to this job but I truly apologize for unnecessary inconveniences on behalf of the USD. Off the record the USD are currently a lot more jumpy than usual as you'd expect. Right now a good batch are humans who are more scared than capable. More politics and not enough power. I just took the mission because the entire crew of my shift were certain it was an international threat. Fear can be most unhelpful. To plunge it I took the mission. Untill they figure their shit out they'll be weirdly unnecessarily jumpy. While some of it is understandable - some ain't. In the case of attempting to close this case permanently - you would need an operative like me to file an extensive report and advocacy. I'd ask questions but you told me a great deal without telling me a great deal. With a track record of that and my personal confirmation it should be enough to deem this area unsuspicious. So our trackers identify the area with you as it's protector. So your power won't alert them and most importantly they - well they just finally chill out. It'll be a little bit of briefings with my bosses on my end but I should be able to close the case. How does that sound?" Great work ethic is also a thing for Gemikai. Being a security guard gave him great communication skills along with his natural charm. When Gemikai sees a concern he immediately tried to help if he can. This seems like a good thing to invest his energy into. Protecting this village from USD random foolery. Being a new operative made him feel skeptical about Gemis ability to keep they behind the line but it was worth trying. This was his best and most hopeful offer - Gemikai was glad his instincts kicked in on the situation. It was truly sticking his neck out. If this guy turns out to be evil the USD is gonna be royally hot.
It sounded like Gemikai ate a lawyer or something the way the confidence smacked every word. Gemikai wasn't getting that vibe though - so he trusted that maybe he found a good one. A strong good one. Gemikai don't blame anything that was before his time. The USD or those who oppose them. Gemikai was just going to do his thing and hope everything works out. Talking with superiors isn't too much of a problem considering they know Gemikai has more than proven himself. The ears waited for the response of the man who still have yet to grant Gemikai his name. Will the mysterious stranger accept the help? Give him his name? What else does he know about the USD? Find out on the next episode chapter of Dragon Ball Horizon.

If there was one thing Athren could say for sure, he surely enjoyed the company of the last USD individual to come strolling through town but this one was just a lot more straight to the point. They came here without a purpose and didn't really skip a beat, they decided to dive right into the thick of it all and state their business. Of course, this may have come simply from Athren pushing his demands on the man but Gemikai had made the right choice to get on with it and clear the air with all of his intentions on behalf of the USD. This visit wasn't pleasant at all and Athren had reason to become annoyed with the USD for doing this for the second time now.
Was it really all too much to ask that he be able to live in peace within his village? He had countless innocence here, people that hadn't committed any type of crime or be any type of threat to the planet. They had all earned the right to live in peace outside of these investigations and if Athren would be capable of drawing them to a conclusion, he would absolutely try his best. Though trying his best would be under his own terms, they'd be something that he was comfortable with and nothing more. Whether or not the Saiyan registry act was a thing and whether or not he had signed up for it, he wouldn't budge. He had every single reason not too. He was different than what he was before and he
Gemikai had been rather apologetic, it was obvious that he was doing this because he had too and not because he wanted too. After all, he was employed by the USD and he had a job to do whether he liked it or not. His fearlessness was the reason he was the one here and not somebody else, so he wasn't exactly to blame for this whole thing. Athren couldn't help but think it best to explain that he got it. This wasn't on Gemikai. "Listen, I know it isn't you making these decisions to come investigate my town but I'm sure you can understand where I'm coming from too. These people deserve to live a life without investigation and I don't think it's much of an ask at all." Athren firmly believed in what he was saying. Athren may have had a negative impact on this Earth over a year ago but times had changed. While he wasn't held accountable by the Earth itself due to his wish, he felt he did pay the price for his attack.
Gemikai went on to explain that the first part of his mission was completed. He needed to identify the power and put a face to the name and it surely helped that Athren had a position of power within this village. This power wasn't your standard measurement of strength but the power of the villages leader and protector. He had more than enough evidence currently to prove that he wasn't a threat to the Earth but instead an asset and a protector of the people. Sure, Athren might've not taken this seriously when looking outside of his own little community but the point would remain. "The first part couldn't get any easier for you, but I am curious about this second part.. Do go on."
It was obvious that Athren was impatient with the process, yet he was speaking in a manner that made it obvious that he wasn't holding Gemikai accountable for this. Again, he knew that it wasn't his fault. He was just a soldier following orders, much like Athren on his past life on Vegeta when he was much younger. He could relate to it, though living through it he knew that working like that wasn't always fulfilling. Surely, Gemikai could find something on his own that would provide him with more of a sense of satisfaction. It was at this point that Gemikai went on to explain the situation, it turned out that he really didn't need anything else from Athren and he had gathered enough information to make an input on the case and bring it to his superiors. It sounded like is was too good to be true but judging from his character, Athren had no reason to doubt him. Of course, Athren wasn't the type to trust in a stranger fully but in this case, he really didn't have anything to lose and it was a reasonable thing to place at least a little bit of trust towards the man.
"I don't blame the USD for being jumpy, nor the people of Earth being terrified at high power levels. The last few years haven't exactly been pleasant two Earth. Between Orange City, Liari and the Saiyan attack.. They've got every reason to be cautious. However, I do believe that being cautious doesn't give them the right to investigate everything to this extent. If anything, they may create what they fear by doing so."
In this case, Athren wasn't at all suggesting he was going to attack the Earth over these investigations. He had absolutely no intentions of doing so but it was a fair warning. He could easily count a handful of people that wouldn't be so receptive to these kinds of visits and would likely retaliate with force which could cause the USD to have more of a situation they feared. These words were just a simple warning and those with power often acted first before thinking. Though now that Athren had heard the man out and Gemikai explained the situation fully, it did sound like he was in the clear.
"Well, If you actually manage to put an end to these investigations I'd be rather grateful. I'm not here to cause any problems, I'm just here to live my life and protect the people around me. I'd rather remaining living this peaceful life without further investigations. So, I'd appreciate it a lot."

Gemikai in the beginning of the mission was on full blast optimism. Staying positive was a drug for him. But Gemikai also wasn't interested in this mission either - it was pushed on him. It didn't weight on him yet, but soon the agent was going to feel it. And by it, meaning the collide of his own beliefs. Right now, Gemikai was having a conversation with a target of a mission - a mission of clarity. This mission needed much more clarity than it looked. Gemikai and the village protectors were coming to an understanding under or around the waterfall. From the outside they might look like friends from afar, but this conversation was actually becoming uncomfortable for one of them. It was a lot going on right now. Politics, Power, People, and it was becoming more clear to Gemikai in his own way. Gemikai started to nod when the protector wanted to make sure the agent knows where they might be coming from on a different prospective. The village protection had some points to his logic. Gemikai didn't notice his own face wasn't showing the most positive feedback. The more the protector talked, the more the USD agent was starting to read the room. Gemikai made sure there was active listening cues - eye contact, nodding gestures, and personal attention. Gemikai during this time made no changes in his physical stance - no reason to. It was just talking - and more and more strangely - Gemikai wasn't getting the most positive feeling about his position. Perhaps it was his human feelings but it just dawned on him that he wasn't invited to this village - just sent to investigate - so even more so Gemikai started to feel an extremely strong sensation of being uninvited. Because he was of course, which isn't always the worse thing but - Gemikai started to consider his presence more harm than good. As the conversation moved towards the protectors graces - Gemikai heard a few statements that really drove the point home. Security jobs will always prepare a person for immediate danger - and a 'fair warning' was issued.
Gemikai knew better. No matter how far the protector appeared to be his issue with the USD seemed bigger than Gemikai. It just felt misplaced. The protector gained big points in power and perhaps honor - but the social cues were heavy with get out of my space energy. Although stating the man didn't want to cause any problems at the end - Gemikai had already picked up every bit of irritation for himself, energy that was supposed to be for an entire organization. Gemikai physically responded by lifting his body in the air with the flight technique. Gemikai was grounded on the floor and comfy with the waterfall at first. But after the last bit of conversation all the hybrid could hear in his own head was he was an uninvited cop who showed up causing trouble - it was almost unbearable. The agent had to say something to end the conversation - no point in creating the thing that's fear. The guy didn't even want to give a name. Although the flight technique was active, the agent only hovered a few feet from the rocks near the waterfall. This was to signal to the village protector that he wasn't those other USD operatives, Gemikai was going to to as the man asked. Leave him the hell alone. The eye contact and attention didn't wavier - and after a few seconds the agent made sure to speak.
"Of course. I wish I could do more. Thank you for serving our planet. Anything else I can attempt to assist you with before I take my leave and start on the report of advocacy, sir?" Was he scared? Angry? A shift? Gemikai was so interested in his power level in the beginning, but now it felt like the best way to help this guy out was to leave. Gemikai didn't feel like he could help this individual out with anything to be fair, but the notion to try was strong so that he did. While in the air Gemi gave a small honorable bow. The energy was the same but different . It was foolish to apologize, especially when you can tell it's not invited.. Gemikai always gives respect to the superiors. No matter how the conversation felt. Gemikai was so talkative - if you knew him, you'd know a conversation can increase that man's power level. But being between a guy like that and USD? It made the operative question his own methods. Gemikai waited to see if the village protector needed anything else before taking his leave. Gemikai wanted to just say thank you and take off, but it wasn't his style no matter how weird a situation felt. The deep truth was Gemikai was never good with being in places he wasn't wanted or invited. As the night continued the young agent had hoped if the hybrid couldn't help the yellow haired guy out with whatever he'd need before the agent finally took off to go smoke weed. It was starting to get kind of emotional for Gemikai and it wasn't something he's used to. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ WC: 859

Well, it would appear that Athren was getting his point across rather quickly. Gemikai had seemed to understand all of Athren's points and concerns about the situation and was rather helpful and pleasant about it all, and while Athren wasn't necessarily insisting that he leave, he had appeared to take that prompt from the saiyan hybrid. This wasn't such a bad thing though, it was getting late and Athren's patience were running thin. It wasn't necessarily with Gemikai as Athren understood that he was just doing his job but the USD as a whole. It was getting mildly annoying having being checked in on multiple times in a row, of course Isla probably didn't file her report considering the events that transpired but that didn't quite matter to Athren, what had mattered to him was his village and his people. Though before the man left, he was trying to be helpful and make sure Athren's wants were considered in this situation and Athren could sense that this guy had pure intentions. It wasn't a secret that the Earth needed people with his character, but stronger and this is where Athren felt he could return the favor to the man. "Save your thanks for somebody that deserves it but.. that'll be all as far as USD business goes, though.."Athren couldn't help but pause as he took a very brief moment to think about whether or not he wanted to commit to his thought. He wasn't exactly one to want to be involved in factions or training but if he helped Opherla, maybe he could help this guy out too. The Earth needed pure hearted warriors like Callion, ones that would lay down their lives to try to do the right thing. Now Athren, might've not been that guy but he wasn't going to let the Earth die as long as he was on it and he strongly felt it was up to the Earthlings to do their part, they just seemed to need some help. "Swing by when you're off duty and I'll help get you in shape, the planet is going to need protectors and you've got potential."Athren couldn't help but pause for another brief moment. "Just ask for Athren whenever you arrive and somebody will come and find me, after that ... Well, We'll get to training."
Athren may have still been adapted to his new lifestyle of trying to do the right thing but he felt that this was the right course of action. It wasn't very often that somebody with potential actually came to his village. He knew that the Earth would need fighters in the future and the threats out in the universe were countless. It was really only a matter of time until something bigger and much more evil than Liari arrived to lay a claim to the Earth or exterminate the population. The planet had to be ready and those who could fight would need too. Even if Athren didn't want to be in the spotlight, even if he didn't want to be the main guy fighting down the threat.. He could prepare the person who would.

An unexpected light on the hill. A moment in the anime episode where a could be dark may have a light at the end of the tunnel. Gemikai was just leaving - still plotting the office details of the case in his head - but still awaiting the village protectors final request. The weather wasn't bad even up in the sky with the night so calm. No violence or disray, the village had to be a genuine one. The ears of the man on duty heard the beef cake say he was done speaking on the USD business. Almost as if, there could be something else to speak on. Communication in the past would indicate something else was coming. Gemi stayed in active listening mode with a new facial feature of curiosity. It was there before but faded so perhaps it could be remembered. The invitation. This invite, this compliment, this out of the blue casual throw was - in a sense - every bit of validation he needed. Gemi sometimes didn't know if he was getting stronger or it was possible to be drunk off his own optimism. The guys at the station seemed weaker but Gemi knew he had Demon Genes. But from a guy with such a power level - a compliment of that degree - and even with all the past bullshit with USD, Gemi was somehow recognized as someone with potential - worthy of protecting his planet. It was an amazing moment Gemi would keep for himself. Keep profession bro no victory tears.
"what? Wow thanks! Count on it! I'm a lot less stiff off the clock. I'll be sure to stop by after I carry this business."
There was a brief pause in the villager. The positivity in Gemikai's body allowed him to see that the man had better intentions than the brush off would suggest. Gemikai didn't really try to look for the entrance when he got here - so now that he was invited the guilt was slightly kicking in behind his head. Won't have that problem anymore. Gemi was so simple he would probably just come to the waterfall and wait. Dude did just appeared out of nowhere with a quickness of teleportation or something. The village protector soon spoke again. The end game of the meeting of two souls. The villager finally revealed his name, with an extra invite to ensure Gemikai knew that training was really on the table. The name to remember.
"I'll do just that! Nice to meet you -Athren. Catch you later."
And with a friendly hand gesture as a goodbye, Gemi took flight towards his USD Mission Station. Gemikai had completed his mission and began to pick up another one on the way. Exiting the area alive, healthy, and most of all motivation. Gemi has never met anyone as strong as Athren. And strength like that was just protecting a new village - it fires up young warriors to take themselves to the next level. Rust or rise. This night a mission was completed - now it was time for him to do exactly what Gemikai told Athren he was going to do. Politics is a different kind of fight. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ WC:525 TWC: 4,222

When Gemikai had responded to Athren's words he could see the shift within him immediately, it was almost like there was a feeling of relief that had pulled some weight off the man's shoulders. Whether it was the fact that this entire scenario went by rather easily or the mild praise from a much stronger warrior, Athren wouldn't know but he could only hope that the shift would give Gemikai some extra motivation. Though Athren wasn't the typical saiyan warrior he did hold onto a lot of his upbringing from Vegeta. He was a stern saiyan, dedicated and very stubborn, he hadn't really been one to give any type of praise until recently but he was getting into the habit recently.
Athren would only nod his head to acknowledge what Gemikai had to say about it and use that as his goodbye. Gemikai had seemed rather pleased and eager to make another appearance here for some training and Athren was more than happy to provide it at this point. If there was anything Athren had learned about the Earth, it was that it had a way of changing people. Even if that change had been slow, he felt it deep within his soul. The passive and peaceful lifestyle that he was provided with here had given him a chance to calm down, to take a moment to breathe and simply enjoy his life without preparing for the next assignment or contract, he was given the opportunity to enjoy life and learn what truly mattered.
The simple answer to what had mattered was his children and while he was close, he had still felt a universe away but no matter the distance or connect to them, his goal was simple. He was going to do whatever it took to defend them, to keep them safe and to make sure they'd live on to have a long and happy lifestyle. He knew currently that they were in amazing hands, somebody who cared for them and looked out for them to the best of their ability but he knew that in time, somebody was going to come to the Earth seeking destruction and death and the planet was going to need fighters to defend it. The planet had currently lacked powerful warriors, with Callion venturing out into the depths of space for what Athren assumed was training, he felt as the Earth was left with Ayu and himself but that wouldn't be enough.
This is where Pran, Opherla and Gemikai would come in. They needed work and that was without a doubt but if Athren could get them up to par, he knew that they'd make fine additions to Callion's little group of defenders and if this would increase the protection of his children, he wasn't going to be one to say no. For now though, the only thing that remained was for Athren to get back to his village duties or maybe get some rest and prepare for the next visit by Gemi. Though next time, Gemi wasn't going to get off so easy for Athren had a very intense way of training.
