Gemikai began to hear voices as his consciousness slowly returned. He abruptly opened his eyes and realized he wasn't at home, technically one of USD's "safe houses" was supposed to be his home, but he could never get comfortable living under their expenses and rules. Gemikai couldn't visually confirm where he was as he shifted his position in the bed he was lying on. He fixed himself to a sitting position to further assess the situation. The martial artist scanned the room from left to right, looking for any trace of information. Fortunately, the ship had not left Earth yet.
"This isn't cool," he muttered in frustration. Gemi wasn't scared or panicking, but he wasn't ready to go to a new planet just yet. He mentally confirmed it was a spaceship due to how it felt and looked from the view of his cage. The cage was so big it had a bed, but it still only had about eight feet before the entrance of the cage. Gemi was dressed in his security clothes, finishing up a few jobs while working with USD when he was ambushed by guys who had some magic or fairy dust that immediately immobilized demons. So there he was, black cargo pants, black button-up long sleeve with the badge, and a black belt with activity shoes. Non-slip resistance shoes were required on every job.
Then came the meditative breathing. Activating his senses was one of his favorite things to do. It took him a few minutes due to Gemikai's sensory nerves being temporarily reduced, but once it was up, he could feel everything. The breathing also helped keep him calm and assist Gemikai in building proper ki when he needed it. Gemikai could see four other individuals in the same room as him, each in their own cage. One was asleep while the other two were talking to each other. Gemikai could sense demonic energy all in the room, confirming it was a demon hunt. The ship from the inside felt like a Saiyan ship to Gemi, as he had read about them in the USD briefings. The power levels of the captors were indefinitely higher than his own individually, so busting and brawling didn't feel like it was in his favor.
"Wait," he mumbled to himself as he sat down and opened himself to the energy in the air. The two talkative demons in the room's energy started to raise up casually and gradually. It wasn't long before it was silently evident that these two demons could break out. The cages weren't strong for warriors who worked with ki. It was getting past the captors that was the problem, but it looked like something was being planned before Gemikai even woke up. Gemikai couldn't help but look towards the two, which gave them an indication that he could sense their power. They didn't hide it from him. They told him to lay low until his opportunity was ripe. Gemikai played along.
About six fighters came slamming into the door to investigate the power level spike in the room. The individuals looked like Saiyans from Gemikai's perspective, but before he could confirm, things jumped out of turn. The demons within the cage started transforming right in front of the captors. They started off laughing at the would-be slaves until they started to see the demons transform. Those demons ripped out of the cages so fast and started slaughtering the slave hunters. Gemikai didn't do anything but watch in entertainment and excitement. After a few small minutes of seeing them tear up this ship, Gemikai broke out of his own cage and handcuffs with some ki-infused strength. The demons blew a hole in the door and told the half-demon to get to safety. Gemikai responded with a bow and started to run towards the hole until he remembered other prisoners on the ship. Full throttle! As his body pushed up to speed, he changed direction and started running into the other slave rooms to free them. The freed demons mostly ran, but a great deal went to join the fight. Gemikai took to the sky and let the demons deal with the situation without letting USD butt in for now. The day was darker than usual for him, but he knows better than most that it won't always be sunshine and summer bliss. It was time he got home and got some sleep. He went home inspired to get stronger so he could dramatically boost his own power. He hopes to never get kidnapped again.
