It wasn't often that Athren would adventure out into the city, it just wasn't the type of lifestyle he liked. It was far too busy and crowded with people for him to really manage to enjoy. He had always been one to avoid the large crowds, he'd often keep to himself and continue training away with his small circle in order to keep getting stronger, socializing wasn't his strong suit, nor did he ever really desire it. Today was different though, he was going into the city to make an attempt of turning his opinion about the busy streets of West City. After all, if he was going to live on Earth for the rest of his days he knew he'd have to adapt to all aspects of the life here. He couldn't just pick and choose the ones that suited him best.
Staying out in the mountain was ideal and all, but it didn't expose him to anything new and that's sort of what he needed to adapt fully to the Earth. He'd never really be an Earthling but he'd never get close to it either if he avoided a large part of their lifestyle. He felt he had no real choice but to adapt and it wasn't exactly the worst thing in the world to go to a city without the purpose of a fight. He'd maybe see and learn new cultures, buy some essentials and see some new things, there really wasn't anything to lose!
He had found himself walking through the streets of West City, it was one of the busiest places on the planet. The wealth in the area could be seen, people wore fancy suits and had fancy vehicles. It was something like Athren hadn't really ever seen before. Wealth on Vegeta was much different than it was on Earth, on Earth it seemed as if a good portion of it was simply showing off what you could buy in material items. It wasn't exactly a concept that Athren could get behind but to each their own, he was learning that slowly.
He walked by plenty of shops, looking through the windows as he passed by but when he neared a candy shop he was almost struggling to believe what he was seeing. Whether or not his eyes were playing tricks on him was another story, but his ocean blue eyes couldn't help but stare at what he believed was a Majin in the area. ~ What the hell? ~ He thought to himself. He had only ever met the one and it was Liari. They were a very rare breed throughout the universe and Athren couldn't quite settle the feeling of tension growing in his body. Though, they all couldn't be that bad, could they? Were they all like Liari with their evil ways or did they also enjoy the lighter side of life? Maybe this Majin would be able to answer that question, or maybe she wouldn't but he felt like he needed to prepare for a fight.

Lala quietly exited from the candy store, having collected quite the assortment of goodies for herself and enjoying each and every one. In fact, it almost looked like she had bought at least half the store. The day was quiet and nice and there wasn't anyone being too annoying or otherwise needing her aid. The first situation was not fine, the second was alright enough. While she enjoyed helping people she also didn't enjoy being oogled at like she was some kind of exhibit in a museum. To which someone seemed to be doing right now. As she exited the candy shop in West City and quietly helped herself to a piece of chocolate she stared blankly at the hybrid man. Before yawning quietly and asking curiously of him in order to find out what exactly he wanted from her. "You uhh..need something or do you just like staring at strangers?" she asked curiously. Not sure whether the man was trying to steal her candy or not. If he was..well he likely wouldn't have an unreasonable time dealing with her as she wasn't exactly the strongest thing around. Still though, it didn't hurt to share. Even though this was ORIGINALLY all for herself. Maybe sharing was caring, or something? She offered a particularly over-sized rainbow lollipop to the man. "If you like..want some, just ask. No need to be all weird about it." She quietly waited for him to accept her offer of the lollipop unsure of if that was actually what he wanted or not, whether he wanted it or not..the offer was now on the table. The ball was now in his proverbial court. She wasn't planning on fighting him, she'd likely get absolutely destroyed regardless. Still though..it helped to get ready to run should he be some kind of crazy mugger or robber or murderer.

Athren wasn't one to speak about how he was feeling but when the Majin had come out of the candy store and directly confronted him in the street about his rather cold and blank stare, he couldn't help but feel rather uneasy. His right fist would've clenched tightly at his side as he just looked at her for a moment. Even with her asking him such a question, he couldn't help but struggled to even comprehend the situation. He had spent far too much time preparing to fight a Majin, to kill them and rid the universe of her and now he was facing down one in the street? He couldn't help but be cautious. Liari had been the first Majin he interacted with and he couldn't help but think that all of them were like that, were that evil. It was a feeling that brought him to the point of wanting to fight this majin before she could follow in Liari's footsteps and bring death and destruction to the Earth.
Though he couldn't help but take a deep breath, his training with Pybara coming into effect now as he took a brief moment to think over the situation and tap into his own emotions to allow himself a moment of peace. It was in this moment of peace and calm that he took a different avenue, a different path than what the warrior would have done in his past. He would give this Majin a chance, after all.. they couldn't be all bad and with his sensing capabilities, he could immediately tell that she hadn't been a threat to him. It was time to use a skill he didn't often use, he was going to talk and communicate.
He couldn't help but shake his head to her question, he didn't want any candy and it might've been rude of him to stare but her appearance just caught him by surprise. His tone was rather calm and almost filled with a sense of peace as he began to speak. "I wouldn't like any, actually. You just caught me by surprise as all. It isn't very often that I see a Majin." It was at this point that he was going to be brutally honest with her and explain his initial reaction.
"After what Majin Liari did to the Planet, I saw you and couldn't help but be cautious." It wasn't that he was trying to be that guy, but he genuinely couldn't help his feelings. Liari had put her foot down on the Earth for quite some time and it took him more work than he had ever done before to finally put a stop to it. He might've been rude here but it was his last intention. For a saiyan trying to adapt to Earth, he still had a very long way to go before he managed that one. Though maybe through time and practicing in situations like this, he'd manage to adapt to the Earth fully and be better at communicating.

Lala continued looking at him, waving the oversized lollipop around much like one would a foam finger or something similar. She looked at him clenching his fist and blinked gently. Staring at his clenched fist for a moment before slowly looking back at his eyes. She wasn't exactly sure what she had done wrong..did he have like an insane candy allergy or something she was supposed to know about? Or was he just generally this hostile? Regardless..she'd find out eventually surely. After being denied any form of want to eat candy, she was..really confused. Did he really just have a problem with her rather then want any candy? That was fairly rude to be angry at a complete stranger. Someone who'd she never even seen before in her life much less talked to or known! Surely there was some mistake for her identity, right? "I wasn't aware that I did something wrong..All I did was buy some candy. Is that really such a big issue?" She quietly plopped the massive lollipop into her mouth, turning her head slightly saucer shaped due to her gum-like physique and lack of ANY form of bones. "Soo..you're just inherently racist or something? Because of one really bad experience? That's not cool at all. I even offered you a snack for staring so long. You could at least be a bit nicer." She continued nomming on the lollipop as she watched Athren curiously. Waiting to see if he was just going to bully her some more, or maybe even offer an apology. Likely the former rather then the latter was her assumption, but you never know! Maybe he'd be even slightly nicer after she had hopefully shown him some slight error of his ways.

In all honesty, Athren couldn't quite believe the confrontation that brewed from a single cautionary stare. If she had only known exactly what threat he faced in a Majin just months ago, maybe she'd understand. It wasn't something to be taken lightly for Athren. As of this moment in time Athren had the luxury of meeting two different Majins, one of them was standing right in front of him now and the other hand spent months terrorizing the Earth. The one that spent months terrorizing the Earth didn't just do damage to the city and kill innocents but they put a very real threat towards the ones that Athren cared about. He still remembered how Zerori was after she encountered Liari at her little tournament, then there was Quash who was controlled by Liari, then not to mention the how many others that had lost their lives trying to stop her entertainment. Athren had every single right to be cautious here, he didn't know anything about the Majin race and while he could assume that they were like any other race with a few bad apples, he would much rather walk on the side of caution and be ready for nearly anything. It was better that way.
Though upon hearing her words, Athren got straight to the point and addressed her concerns. His tone was still serious, though his right fist finally let up as he freed a hand. A threat didn't seem present in this moment and if there was trouble, he felt like he'd have no issues handling it. "You didn't do anything wrong and I wouldn't call myself a racist." Athren would've paused for a brief moment before explaining the situation quickly to her on exactly why he acted the way he did. "I've met two of your kind, one being you and the other that roamed the Earth destroying and killing as they pleased purely for their own entertainment. It took everything I had to stop her and seeing you.. Well, can you blame me be prepared for another fight?"
It was at this point Athren shrugged his shouldered before crossing his arms against his chest, in his mind he had every reason to act the way he did. He didn't hate the race but he didn't know much about them but given the lack of their numbers on Earth. "I'm not trying to start a fight with you either, just seeing you brought me back to that fight." It was at this point that he stopped, he didn't want to speak too much at once and give her too much to respond too. He did hope that she'd understand where he was coming from. Defeating Liari was the fight of his life, it took nearly everything he had in order to stop her yet he had been quite close to failing. He couldn't imagine the state the planet would be in if he did fail and it was a scary thought, a thought he never wanted to see be brought to life.
