Well, it was exactly one week after his first meeting with Vegeta Jr and as instructed Athren was here in the Oozaru wastelands. Of course, Athren was much earlier than he was expected but that's just the way Athren operated. He didn't want his new mentor waiting around for him in case he got there earlier. Athren had wanted to be prepared and ready for just about anything, no matter what time Vegeta might've shown up. Though Athren didn't quite know what he was in for and this technique concept had been completely knew to him. He may have had an idea of how he was going to unleash it but that didn't mean he was right. All he could really do was wait for Vegeta to arrive to guide and instruct him in the ways of the Final Explosion. Hopefully, it would've be long now.
Athren would've made himself very easy to spot for his masters sake and little time went by before Vegeta had found himself landing right beside his newfound apprentice. "So you actually came? I'd be rather impressed, except you don't quite know what you're in for yet. This technique isn't something easily done. This technique involves a lot more than the average technique to unleash." He said in a tone of pure confidence towards Athren.
Athren couldn't help but shrug his shoulders to the remark. Of course he was going to show up for this. Athren didn't quite know what was more important to him at the moment. If the Earth were to be attacked again, he needed to be ready for all possible outcomes and this technique could very well solidify the outcome of the battle. Of course, he may be risking his own life in the process but if he were going to lose, he'd rather go out on his own terms. "I wouldn't say I have much of a choice, if we're being quite honest. Besides, a technique that lets me control my own fate? I'd be here time and time again, without even the slightest of second thoughts." This was the absolute truth, Athren NEEDED to be here. His village could take care of itself for the most part. He wasn't needed constantly.
Vegeta couldn't help but nod his head, he fully understood the situation and how the Earth could attract some very powerful enemies. It needed warriors like Athren to fight and defend it and if this technique could be used to protect the Earth, Vegeta would be damn sure that it got passed along. Though today, was going to be all theory behind it. "Today, I'm going to keep it very simple. I'm going to explain how to use this technique and not a single thing more, I need you mentally prepared for it more than physically. After all, You mentioned being trained by Pybara, Didn't you? I'd have to take a guess and say your abilities to manipulate your own Ki are far superior to most. Isn't that right?"
Athren couldn't help but nod his head. Of course he was a little bit let down with the fact that he wasn't going to get any hands on with this technique today but it did make sense. It was better to fully understand a technique such as this in order to use it. If he could understand how it works and how to manipulate the energy, maybe it would be a lot easier than just being told to make an attempt. Regardless, he wasn't going to try and argue with Vegeta on this. After all, he was the mentor and taking lead. "That makes sense, and you're absolutely right. Pybara had taught me how to control my Ki far beyond the average user and the results.. well, they were just incredible." Athren paused for a moment to let Vegeta have his say in the matter.
It was quite nice having somebody to talk about the result of Pybara's training with and at this point, Unless of course he was watching from afar Pybara wouldn't have any memory of training Athren. It was a shame that he wouldn't get to connect the dots when Athren was making good on his promise but it was a much needed wish. For now though, Athren would shut up and listen while Vegeta took his time to explain the technique.
Vegeta would go on about the technique in depth and not leave one single detail out of it. If Athren was going to successfully pull off this technique AND survive, he needed to know every single little thing about it. There wasn't any room for failure here, the slightest bit of miscalculation could very well end in the users death. Even if they manage to calculate everything right, it could still lead to death.
"This technique is one of a kind, not only does it promise a very high damage output but it also risks the life of the user. The slightest miscalculation could end in death. The chances of actually surviving this technique are very slim but it is possible." Vegeta went on a little bit more about the technique in detail before getting back to the main point of it all. "Now, to use this technique. You're going to have to focus every bit of energy you've got into it. Focus it into one single condensed point before releasing it and as you're releasing it. You're going to force yourself to put even more energy into it, energy you didn't even think you had inside. This is essentially going to be your energy reserves that are keeping you alive." Vegeta paused once more before carrying on. "Combining your regular Ki along side your reserves will allow you to use this technique but it will also leave you completely drained, assuming you survive it."
The lesson wouldn't end there, and it would go on and on for quite some time. Athren make damn sure he understood every aspect of it. He didn't need to fail when this technique meant the most. Everything could be riding on the execution of this technique. He wasn't going to mess this up, he simply couldn't. Though after the lesson was concluded, Vegeta gave him a time and a place once more. One week, same spot.
That's when he'd learn this thing.
