___ Well, this sucks. There were reports that a monster lurked in the Penguin Village was causing a disturbance in the relatively peaceful location. The one time Shengyu wouldn't mind a helping hand when she was assigned this mission, but instead she was sent to take the problem on her own. This meant one out of two things, either this "monster" wasn't as threatening despite its title of being a monster, or Shengyu somehow managed to piss off the chief and this was a suicide mission as some sort of revenge. For what? She'll never know, but somewhere down the line, she must've pissed her off. Shengyu scouted the area in the air as she looked for the monster. So far, everything looked normal. There were plentiful people walking about and minding their business. For the past few minutes, there hasn't been much of a change of the scenery other than complete silence and the noise of nature. Suddenly, the thought of peace was soon abruptly interrupted by a demonic-esque roar that boomed in the air in the distance. From afar, she noticed people running for their lives towards her direction. People that were near began to follow suit, but only out of pure fear from everyone else running and the roar heard. "Spoke too soon." The woman began to fly full speed towards the opposite direction to see where the monster was and what exactly it looked like. The least she wanted was to get a good idea of what she'd deal with on her own. Eventually, she arrived to a location that was in near ruins. Amongst more locals and tourists running for their lives stood a horrifying reptile-like creature nearly the size of a truck; it was something straight out of hell, as Shengy would best describe it. She kept her cool, but on the inside she was completely freaked out. "Okay, no big deal. Doing this all for a... slightly decent pay. Might even get a raise out of it. Terra RUSHED to the scene the moment she had gotten word of the beast's arrival and THIS TIME... she had her attire in order! Thanks to Dende's magic and Mr. Popo helping her get her design right, Terra wore a FANTASTICAL hero outfit, complete with a white and pink helmet with a heart-shaped visor, a deep pink tunic over a weighted black shirt (Grampy Roshi was adamant that one's training took place everywhere you go) with black leggings and white gloves/boots! In essence, Terra's identity was GONE, tucked for the moment, behind the heroic persona of the Great Majigirl, hero of all things just!
...But no matter how strong or just Terra was, though, the little pink majin still couldn't fly! She had to get there on foot... and that meant SPEED! The moment Terra touched the ground, the little pink majin ROCKETED across the planet at speeds borderline imperceptible to the average person, her movements like a pink blur through the city, across, the water, all with enough weight from her training gear to make her like a CANNONBALL to anything she ran into! ...But Terra's training on the lookout and with Mr. Popo had trained her well, allowing Terra to navigate the concrete jungles of human civilization safely, all up until she made it to Penguin village! The little hero slowed to a stop at the edge of the village as she bore witness to the boney reptilian-like beast rampaging through the village, Terra unable to suppress a gulp of anxiousness as she beheld its size... and it's wrath. One would have thought the thing had a personal vendetta against the people there with how it attacked their buildings, biting off their roofs and lunging for the people inside as if it wanted them and them alone! A chill of not just the cold, anxiety ran up her spine. Terra had never fought something so... scary before... Some part of her, the child inside, wanted to run, to hide just like the people. Maybe if she buried herself in the snow, the thing wouldn't see her... Maybe she could get away...
NO! That was NOT why she was here! She was a HERO! She had to be! Nobody else was gonna save these people! She... She COULD DO IT! SHE WAS GONNA DO IT!
"MONSTER!" The Great Majigirl cried, pointing a gloved hand in the beast's direction! "YOU DESTROY YOUR LAST VILLAGE! I, GREAT MAJIGIRL, WILL STOP YOU! HAAAAAAAAAA!" Terra RUSHED at the beast, kicking up a cloud of snow and ice behind her as she closed in on the fiend! The reptile would look up from his attack, just in time to feel a gloved fist CRACK upon its nose, the hero having SPRUNG UP to nail it right between the nostrils!
"Ow..." Terra winced, her fist nearly flattening against the beast's hide... but it had gotten the worst of it, the bone cracking and flaking off in the imprint of a fist drilled into it's face!
...Little did Terra know, there was another, a woman sitting on the sidelines and watching the action! Would she too overcome her fear and help the Great Majigirl save these fine people!? Would she too become a hero this day?

Before Shengyu had time to react and charge at the monster head on, a small figure came swooping from the sky in... a... hero suit? Oh, how Shengyu deserves a bigger pay. Whatever it was, it managed to do some sufficient damage to the monster from a sickening crack on its nose, which shook the woman for a split second considering the figure's size. The monster screeched in pain as its tail flickered erratically, backing a few steps away to try and regain its composure. The monster looked back at the heroic figure and snarled in irritation. It proceeded to then charge at the small figure with its mouth wide open. Its razor sharp teeth were exposed and coming at full speed, ready to try and take a bite at the figure. This was where Shengyu had to step in. Her hands clenched into fists in preparation, she sped towards the monster as fast as she could. As she closed the distance between her and the beast, she opened one hand, yellow aura forming around her palm. She then thrust it forward a couple of times, launching a few ki blasts at the monster as a distraction. It stopped in its tracks to shrug off the minor stings it experienced from the blasts. When Shengyu was halfway close to the beast, she flew towards the side of its head as it approached the pink figure. The moment she was close to the beast as well as the beast being near the figure ready to try and take a bite once again, Shengyu appeared right next to its head and flung her heeled boot forward. The force from her kick resulted in the beat staggering to the opposite direction with another pained roar emitted. Still keeping the momentum going, Shengyu dashed at the monster and threw a few stiff punches at its body. In defiance of the damage she managed to do against its body, the monster lifted up its massive tail and swat it at Shengyu. Shengyu quipped from the impact that sent her flying across the area. She tried to regain her stance, but not before she was slammed against a wall; not hard enough with how much she attempted to soften the blow by trying to slow down with how fast she was flung, but late enough for her to avoid as much impact than expected. The beast then turned its attention back at the heroic figure and flashed its teeth once more, moving once again at the creature and attempting yet another bite. ___ Word Count: 426 Total Word Count: 760 Additional Notes: Rookie Bonus +65% |

The beast recoiled with an unearthly roar as the majin's fist STRUCK upon it's snout, Terra grinning beneath her helmet as she flipped away... lightly shaking the sting out of her knuckles and wrist as she did so!
"This thing tough..." She mumbled, pressing a button at the inside of her helmet. Inside her visor, a circle encompassed the approaching beast, numbers flashing beside it as the internal power-sensor scanned the creature... What little confidence Terra had managed to gather... withered in the face of the creature, it's number placed before her own: 6,400... and the creature's 8,000! "...It really tough..." Terra whispered, LEAPING BACK just as the jaws of the reptilian SNAPPED where she had once stood! Had she been a second slower, that thing might've taken her leg off in it's attack... and it was still coming after her! Wh... what was she gonna do now? She didn't think she could beat this thing on her own! Maybe she was faster than it, MAYBE... but what good would speed do if she was weaker than it? Terra stumbled through plan after plan as she retreated from the lizard, guiding it away from the village proper! She could at least help the people... yes, that was it! Maybe... Maybe she could fight better if she didn't have to worry about hurting the-
BOOMBOOMBOOOOOM!
Explosions ERUPTED across the hide of the reptile, stopping it dead! Terra's eyes widened behind her visor as her head SNAPPED UP in the direction of their maker, a woman dressed very much like a hero herself hovering above them both! While Terra was dressed like a conventional hero, this woman appeared much more like one with a dark, mysterious theme, what with her hat and her jacket and her hair styled so!
"Wow... Cool..." Terra awed... but she didn't have much time to admire her savior! It seemed as if the reptile was barely phased by the attack and came RUSHING after The Great Majigirl again, The little hero LEAPING out of the way as its jaws snapped at her once more! Okay... no more distractions! She was just gonna have to trust this lady to help her when things got hairy! She would nod at the woman, showing that she acknowledged her help before LUNGING for the beast, engaging it with her full power! The stranger had gotten there first, however, planting her boot HARD against the side of it's head nearly SPINNING the creature 90-degrees to the side before pounding at it's ribs! Terra... couldn't help but admire the technique, the skill this woman put into her attacks! She CLEARLY knew what she was doing... but the creature was simply TOO MUCH for her to take on alone! A swift tail-swipe was enough to send the woman FLYING BACK into the village, CRASHING into a wall with enough force to make Terra wince beneath her helmet!
Ouch... that had to hurt.
With the distraction out of the way, the beast would SNAP at Terra again but this time, she was ready! Terra would JUMP to the side as the creature bit, SWINGING around behind it and taking hold of it's massive tail!
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Terra CRIED, her arms SWELLING with effort as she LIFTED the creature up by it's tail and SLAMMED IT upon it's back like a mallet, flipping it over in a single mighty motion! raising her hands up and clenching her fingers, vines would suddenly RISE UP from the snow entrapping and entangling the creature to the ground, keeping it from righting itself! Terra gritted her teeth, already losing her grip as the beast struggled and roared, its tail whipping about, nearly slapping Majigirl in it's frenzied flails!
"YOU! Um... CITIZEN!" The Great Majigirl bellowed, calling to the stranger! "NEED... ASSISTANCE! ATTACK IT BELLY! ALL ARMORED THING WEAK ON BELLY!"
She didn't know how much longer she could hold this thing... If the stranger didn't heed her call, The Great Majigirl would soon be at the creature's mercy!

Shengyu's body went limp for a moment as she fell to the ground. However, she was quick to regain consciousness when she weakly lifted her head up from the yell from the tiny hero. "Huh..." For a moment, Shengyu looked almost dazed. The hit she took was hard and, admittedly, it hurt like a bitch. It was the heroic figure's yell that brought her back to reality. She noticed she managed to slam it on its back, but the beast refused to go down with the fight it had left in it. "That's one tough son of a bitch, I'll give it that." She muttered under her breath. The heroic figure called for Shengyu's help with an instruction to go after its stomach, the only expose part of its hardened body. "Oh... oh!" Shengyu, in a snail's pace, began to realize what was going on. Staggering onto her feet, she charged after the laid beast with a "Right!" As she was close to the beast, she leaped in the air and held out her right hand. Ki coated her hand and transformed her fingers into sharp claws. She then landed on its stomach and began to claw on its expose skin. Blood immediately spurred from the rough slash she gave it The monster released a pain howl while its arms and legs erratically waved around from the clawings. For whatever reason, the damn thing refused to give it. At least the heroic figure was right that its weak spot was its stomach. "Oh, will this shit just freaking die already?!" Shengyu exclaimed. The more she clawed, the more aggravated it gotten. Before anything else, Shengyu quickly jumped off of it before it reacted more aggressively than it already was in. Terra- I MEAN The Great Majigirl may have been the STRONGER of the two heroes out fighting today, but this stranger, she was just stealing the show! Her attacks were so different, so DYNAMIC and FUN that, if The Great Majigirl had a notepad... or hands to scribble ideas down on, she would've been taking notes! LIKE... ENERGY CLAWS!? THAT WAS SO COOL! In fact, the young hero almost completely lost her grip on the monster, so engrossed in the creativity of her ally was she!
"Wow..." She mumbled, her voice muffled into inaudibility due to her helmet! "So coooool- URK!" Terra's focus SNAPPED as the beast THRASHED AND FLAILED even HARDER as Shengyu's claws RAKED across it's belly, cutting deep enough to draw blood from thick gashes in it's hide! Most creatures would have begun to slow down after that, after feeling their sustaining fluids dribble out of such wounds but THIS THING... IT JUST DIDN'T QUIT! The vines around the thing SNAPPED as it FLIPPED over on it's feet again, Sengyu confiding in the little majin that if she had ANYTHING that could kill it, now would be the time! Terra froze at that... Never before had Terra ever been called upon to take a life. Even ants and bugs she'd let outside before stepping on them! They were just... animals!
The creature SWUNG it's tail haphazardly, nearly SMASHING Shengyu with a wild thrashing swipe, another CRASHING across the edge of a village-building wall! The pitch in it's roar had changed. it WAS hurt... but Shengyu was right. It wasn't going to fall easily.
"B-but..." Terra uttered, struggling to even SPEAK the word! "...I never kill before..." The beast SCREAMED and LUNGED at the little majin again! CLEARLY, it had identified her as the biggest threat! Its jaws snapped, it's tongue flailed madly between it's jaws, its eyes darted about wildly in their sockets as it attempted to make the hero it's prey! Terra's heart PANGED with sadness, knowing that this would have to be her first time. If she didn't do this, the stranger was in danger. The WHOLE VILLAGE was in danger! So many people hurt because of this thing! She didn't wanna... If she could've thought of ANYTHING ELSE she coulda done... she woulda... With a heavy heart, Terra would drop down into a crouch, her hands cupped behind her...
"Kaaaaaaaaaa..... Meeeeeeeeeee...." She sniffled, a blue ball of energy growing between her palms! "Haaaaaaaaaa.... Meeeeeeeeeee..."
The creature LUNGED for Terra, its jaws snapping at her madly! The Great Majigirl SPRUNG forward, slipping under it's jaw, leaning back so that the dripping wound Shengyu had created hovered over her!
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
The Great Majigirl THREW her hands up at the wound, firing a MASSIVE BLUE BEAM UP INTO IT'S STOMACH! The creature ROARED... THEN choked as it FLEW up into the sky, landing with a harsh CRASH dozens of meters away, its body and belly SCORCHED as its limbs twitched absently! Terra... huffing and puffing, her hands smoking from the blast... dropped down to her knees... holding her helmet-ed head.
