Appearance:
Personality: Espere knows how to speak to people, take control of conversations, and likes to charm her way out of trouble. She has a playful persona, often having witty quips ready to fire with and always wanting to have the last word. It isn't, however, much of a surprise that she can go too far and get in trouble for it. She has a motherly aura to her as she's very caring to those that she holds close to and around her. Though, she’s no stranger to lying and betrayal if it’s called for. She knows when someone can be valuable and knows when their value expires. It adds on to her secretive side and plays both sides of the coin to her advantage.
Espere always had a heavy interest, if not an obsession with robotics and mechanics in general, especially androids. It’s considered to be one of her strong suits and something she takes pride in doing. As she converted herself into an android, she sees herself as a somewhat perfect being, taking away most of the flaws she had when she was a human. With her goal to convert the universe into androids along with controlling them, Espere sees herself as a savior of some sort to bring peace in the cosmos.
She loves doing things in style and leaving a memorable moment in people's heads. She's sometimes theatrical, almost dramatic. This feeds into her narcissistic tendencies as she loves to be the center of attention. Espere would always find a way to make it about herself. While Espere tries to be careful and is very well aware of her limits, sometimes she likes to take the risk for the hell of it and take caution to the wind.
History: Before her transition, Espere lived a fair life in her early years with a moderately well lived off family. With a sister two years younger than her, the duo had a very tight knit bond despite their major behavioral difference whilst sharing many similarities. Espere was known to be the more playful sister who always had something up her sleeve, yet always carried class no matter where she went. Herma, on the other hand, was the more elegant sister that carried grace, but had an edge to her; whether it was the icy stare of disapproval or the snobby attitude as if she felt she were better than everyone else. No matter what, the two always stuck together no matter what.
Espere was a young woman who had a very keen interest in mechanics, specifically creating androids; but what was once heavy interest in such things were more of an obsession. The idea of being able to control someone felt powerful, but yet Espere had no malicious intent behind it all, or at least to her. Controlling androids meant that she can bring peace to Earth, if not the entire universe. For too long did all people from races committed horrid and despicable acts of violence and crime all over the universe, especially in her own home. As awful of a vision it sounded, Espere believed this was the only way to achieve true tranquility within the universe.
But all it took was her application sent to the Red Ribbon to be rejected to push Espere to the deep end. It was said her designs weren’t good enough, a full offense that she took. She began to craft androids every single second, but her obsession took a major toll on the quality of her androids. She needed to do better. She needed to prove that her designs were worthy of something on a global scale at the very least. There was one ludicrous idea that she believed would prove she had what it took: android conversion.
Espere managed to convert herself into an android. She found success in her own work as she found a way to become a cyborg. At first, she installed a few parts whilst she still remained human, appearance-wise. Then, she became addicted. Each day, she installed more and more parts into her body to a point where she believed she was no longer human, but a perfect machine. She could live longer while retaining her youth, and felt stronger than the average human, if not any human. It was then decided that her family should also be converted to androids to share the benefits of being half robotic.
First her mother, then her father, then Herma as her last subject. Forced by gunpoint, Espere converted her family into androids. Even though their human appearance remained the same, Herma especially was outraged and mortified by the transition. Espere was able to convince Herma that she was in her form of perfection and listed all the benefits that came with being an android. It took a while for her sister to come around, but eventually she stuck with her sister.
Espere’s goal had not changed, but instead a new one was added. If she wanted her dream to come true, she needed a bigger platform to control if she wanted to go higher, the Red Ribbon Army. The same corporation that rejected her, will be the same corporation that she will eventually rule. She’ll make sure of it.
Techniques:
[P1OT1] Spirit Bang: Espere brings out both hands in front of her and folds them together into a gun like shape with her index and middle fingers out and thumbs extended. A small bright yellow sphere of ki levitates across her fingers. She then presses her fingers down as the sphere is launched and turned into a thin beam that can easily pierce through flesh, rocks, and even metal if the attack itself is done at a higher power.
[OT1] Force Cannon: Force Cannon is a technique where Espere uses her ki to create shockwaves that cannot just strike at the opponent, but also knock them back to create space between her and her opponent. This is usually done by thrusting either palm forward to launch an enormous force large enough to inflict damage.
[ST1] Flight: Espere can fly. Weeee.
[OT1] Split Storm: Espere creates a large sphere of ki and launches it at her opponent. While launched, the sphere breaks into 20 smaller spheres that would crash into her opponent.
[ST1] Heat Detection: This technique allows Espere to sense heat signatures, including Perfect Machine androids. Mechanical androids are the only ones that can bypass this technique.
Roleplay Sample: There they were, right in front of her pale green eyes: the blueprints to a new feature that could be installed in newer android models: laser miniguns. They’d be the perfect attribute to install once she acquired a larger lab filled with more modern, if not advanced, technology like the Red Ribbon Army. They may seem unorthodox to Espere’s goal of achieving true tranquility in the universe, but perfection itself is nonexistent when it comes to such dreams. There will be certain people of many species that may not submit or put up a hefty fight to where they may not even be worth the conversion. Sometimes, having them six feet under is the only logical solution.
Espere pressed the earpiece to her ear as she spoke, ”I’m in. Target is right in front.” Her voice was as low as it could get, but audible enough for the person on the other side to pick up her words. Despite the office seemingly appearing to be empty within the darkness, it was still her job to draw little attention as she could.
”Good. Just pick them up and disappear like you were never there. There’s a lot of guards swarming on the floor you’re on.” The feminine voice whispered back to Espere. Regardless of the mission running into the android’s favor, the tone sounded panicked, if not slightly worried.
Before Espere gave any sort of reassurance, the door swung open with heavy force. Behind her were two armed guards with loaded rifles ready to unload.
”Freeze!” One guard barked at the woman. The other guard took a step closer with the former following suit.
”Drop the blueprints and raise your hands above your head! Now!” The other guard ordered. Despite the advantage they had on numbers, they still held caution. In this day and age with other species residing on Earth, there was no telling how strong or quick the woman before them was.
Of course, Espere had her confidence that she could take both of these guards with ease. On the contrary, if she made more noise, she’d draw more attention to herself, and more attention to herself meant more guards to deal with, and it would’ve created a headache of a chase instead of a smooth operation. She had the option to take caution to the wind, but this time she needed to play it smart. ”Fine.” With a defeated sigh, she dropped what she held and raised her hands in the air.
”Now take a few steps back.” The first guard ordered.
The android complied and started to move backwards. While she did so, Espere tried to conjure a quick plan. There were many factors to take in consideration for her escape; where would she be taken to? Would there be more guards waiting for her? All of these things rushed around in her head, but she kept her composure.
Right now, the best Espere could do was follow orders until an opportunity window comes up.
