For well over a month Moire had been searching the land for anybody who could give her the help that she needed, help to finally achieve what she had been longing for so long. Despite meeting so many people, people who have possessed grand martial arts prowess, people who are gifted in the magical arts, and people who know of the mind's functions, Moire had yet to come across anybody who can truly unlock her memories, which have still eluded her to this point. Despite the words shared with her by the likes of Callion, Ayu, and all of her other friends, they have yet to truly satiate the majin's desires to feel whole once again. She can just keep on blasting random rocks and plant life in this desert all she wants, but it just won't bring her any closer to figuring out just who she actually was, and why it seems so... dark.
"Ohoho, now what do we have here?"
Moire immediately spins around to face whoever it was that was suddenly speaking to her, now looking over what appears to be a small, greenish alien, wrapped in an orange cloak. How did this being manage to sneak up on her so easily? Even when she's let her guard down she can sense energy around her. Sensing that there is no immediate danger, Moire places a single hand upon her collarbone and greets back, "Oh, my apologies. I hadn't realized that there was somebody else here. I thought I was all alone out here. I am Majin Moire, though you can just call me Moire for short." She beams the strange creature a smile, though now that she was getting a closer look at him, she couldn't help but get a bit of a dreadful feeling just being around him.
The creature begins to step forward and explains, "Oh no, I'll be sticking with calling you Majin Moire myself. That majin part... It's important, after all." Moire couldn't help but raise a brow, internally questioning just what he meant by the majin part being important. "Perhaps I should clarify," he begins once again, "You see, I have a certain... specialty when it comes to working with majins. In fact, one of my more recent former students was a majin herself, much like you, and I'm always looking to take more under my wing." Moire was even more confused now than before, questioning what this stranger was speaking of. Was he offering to teach her something, and who is this other majin? Is he referring to...
"I am referring to Liari, yes," the stranger responds, catching Moire by surprise once more. How does he know that she was questioning that particular detail? The stranger beams a wicked smile back at the purple majin before explaining, "Ah, you can't exactly hide much from me, Majin Moire. I have a bit of a talent reading the minds of the weaker willed. And if I am to be perfectly honest, I have noticed that your mind is... particularly interesting. I see large gaps of knowledge within your memories. Could they, perhaps, be sealed away for a particular reason? I doubt you're doing that on purpose." Moire realizes now that it's pointless to try and keep secrets around this guy, but still she had questions to ask of him.
"Just who are you anyway, and what did you do to Liari? Were you the one responsible for-" She was about to finish her sentence before the stranger cuts her off, shouting, "I was the one who merely unlocked her potential. The rest was all her doing, nothing more. Of course I wished for her to perform a few certain... personal tasks, but then she went to do her own thing and... Well, I'm sure you know what has become of her at this point as well. As for who I am, I am the greatest wizard this planet has ever come to witness. I... Am Babidi." Moire clenches her fists, still quite unsure if she can really put any form of trust into such a wicked figure. He had trained Liari, and though he says he had no influence on Liari's ultimate actions, the purple majin didn't know for absolute certain. He was bad news, that much was certain.
"Whatever you may offer, I'm not interested, wizard," Moire responds, pointing a single finger at Babidi, "But I can tell that there's something far more wicked below the surface within you." "And you're any different?" Babidi immediately retorts, catching Moire off-guard. Of course she's different from Babidi. She's met so many friends that she has come to cherish, certainly something this wizard doesn't seem to have given the reputation she knows he has at this point. "Of course I am," she answers defiantly, glaring right at the wizard whose smile seems to only grow wider and wider with each passing second. Just what is going on with him, and what is it that he's planning?
After a few brief moments of silence, Babidi finally speaks up and asks Moire, "You don't realize, do you? There is a reason that you aren't whole. I know that you've been struggling to regain your memories, yet every time you get close to finally unlocking them, you cower away in fear. You want them, but you know that you will see something you wish you would never witness. Your curiosity and your petty kindness are getting in each other's ways, and without some... assistance, you will never become whole again. This... is what I can offer to you. Come to me, and learn from me, and I shall give you the path you need to finally become who you truly were meant to be, who you were before, to take back who you originally were."
Moire stood completely still, letting the words of Babidi sink into her mind, speechless and lost in though about what this could all mean. This Babidi... She knows she can't completely trust him given everything that she knows about him, and yet... Where else could she turn? Who could she go to in order to finally let her become who she once was? Who else could fully unlock her memories, let her relive her past life, let her know just what she is, why she's here, what happened to her, and so many other questions that have been plaguing her mind for so long. Her hands begin to tremble a bit as she considers her options, and ultimately, she came to one final decision...
"... Fine. Show me, then." Moire accepts Babidi's offer, waiting to see what comes next. Babidi's wicked smile opens up as he bares his teeth, contorting now to a more sinister grin as he begins chuckling to himself, replying, "Oh no no, it's not quite so simple. Unleashing your memories will kill you, I know that. But first, you must be molded. Your mind must be disciplined. I must make sure that you can properly handle this information. And to make sure, I'll just have to do... This!"
Babidi extends his hands outwards, and immediately Moire's head is rocked by a sudden splitting migraine, her eyes widening and her pupils dilating as she suddenly grabs her own head, screaming out in pain as her mind is assaulted by some psychic force. Moire is forced down onto the ground, struggling to maintain any sort of composure whatsoever as her whole body trembles before she eventually falls completely silent, lying nearly motionless on the ground. Babidi continues to approach Moire's unconscious body, stopping right before her head before muttering to himself, "Hmm... much work is required indeed. Do not fret, Majin Moire, for you will finally be set free when I'm done..."
