Master Roshi - 5% PL boost
Opherla was on her way back to the Kame House where she was looking to learn something today that she believed would be a great boon for her list of abilities... the Kamehameha. Roshi had promised that today, after a full week of Opherla training, she would learn how to perform the Kamehameha, and Opherla was incredibly excited. This was a move only heard of in legends, and now, she had the chance to carve her own legend with this very move once she learned it. She couldn't wait, she was ready, she was willing, it was time to cash in and learn the Kamehameha!!!!
Roshi soon looked up to see Opherla drop down on the island he resided on, his face more stern this week as opposed to last week as he watched Opherla touch foot down on the ground, as she looked at Roshi with an eager smile, knowing exactly what was to come from today's session.
"Alright Master Roshi... I'm here. I've trained just as you asked for this very moment." Opherla said with a smile. "I'm ready to learn the Kamehameha."
"I see you've done quite the amount of training since I saw you last week. Most impressive, young student of mine." Roshi remarked, sounding a lot more professional opposed to his more casual approach he had taken last week with the Beastkin/Saiyan hybrid. "I could spend as much time as there is in a day lecturing on what you need to do in order to perform the Kamehameha, but I think you're more than ready to learn it. However, first, a demonstration." Roshi would say, turning his gaze to the ocean, before he cupped his hands together. "Ka... me... ha... me... HA!!!" Roshi yelled, firing a Kamehameha that kicked up massive waves along the ocean, before it fizzled out and the waves calmed down after a while since the beam was fired, as Roshi turned to Opherla. "Now. It's your turn. Give it a go, Opherla." Roshi would say. "Put your entire heart and soul into this move... show me why you want to learn it, why you want to fight, in performing one of my most recognized attacks." Roshi declared.
"Why I'm fighting..." Opherla remarked. She had a lot of things she fought for. At first, it was broad, she wanted to fight to protect Earth... but as she dug down deeper into her reasons... they suddenly began to multiply further and further than that.
She was fighting for more than just Earth itself... she was fighting to make her parents proud. She was fighting for the friends she made. Callion. Serena. Tanya. Moire. Terra. Ayu. Acsull. Zaks. Everyone and anyone she had met that helped her get to this point in her journey. And every single living person on this Earth... That's who and what she was fighting for. Why she was fighting. Ever since she came to this Earth as a baby... She had a desire to protect it all.
Her home.
Taking a deep breath, Opherla assumed the stance, the winds blowing around her and making her wolf tail and hair flow in the wind, as she had her eyes closed, soon cupping her hands together just as Roshi had done, aiming her ki beam to the ocean, as she soon brought her hands to the side, her energy flaring.
"Ka...." Opherla began, as blue energy began to gather in her hands. Her will, her determination, her drive to keep this world safe... That was only the start of why she was on this journey of strength.
"Me..." Opherla said, the ki beginning to glow even brighter than before, as the wind continued to pick up. She thought back to her first meeting with her first friend she had ever made on this planet. Serena... Opherla wondered if Serena made it out of South City. Opherla hadn't seen her since. She hoped she was okay... Because she... Serena was the one who started it all for Opherla.
"Ha..." Opherla continued, thinking to the next people she had made friends with. Acsull, Athren, and Callion... She hadn't seen much of Acsull or Athren... but Callion... Callion and Opherla shared so much of the same desires for this planet... they both wanted nothing more than to send all the evil of this planet packing, to keep this planet safe for years to come! Besides, Callion owed her so much more after that meaningful date they had not that long ago. Opherla aspired... maybe one day, she would share the footsteps of her hero, Callion, and become just as strong as he had become.
"Me...." Opherla continued still, the ki glowing even brighter as her thoughts went to her newer friends she had made, newer sparring partners, those people who helped her realize things about herself she needed to improve on. Tanya, who helped her to have someone else to aspire to that wasn't as strong as what Callion was. Zaks, who helped her realize her potential in her berserk Lycan form. Moire, who helped show her the existence of magic, and even Terra, who helped to show Opherla she had a lot of inner character developments to do to go forward as well...
And most prominently at this point, Opherla thought of her parents. Where they might be, how they might be doing, if they were even alive... her parents must be proud of her, watching from wherever it was they were at in the vast universe. Opherla was getting stronger every day, and they knew it from where they were watching, at least Opherla knew that they knew it. She was doing all of this because of the blessings of her mother and father to give her a home... A home she would make sure was safe before going to search for them. With all of this fully present in her mind, Opherla's eyes shot open with vigor and determination, as she shot her cupped hands forward!
"HA!!!!!!" Opherla mightily yelled, as she shot a massive blue beam, as it elegantly made waves shoot up just as Roshi had made happen, only in much more elegance and height, as Roshi looked on, a small tear rolling down his cheek. This hybrid... she shared just as much passion for the things on this planet just as Goku and his own son had done. It was true after all, Saiyans that were born with hybrid hearts... they truly did have the most golden of golden hearts for everyone and everything that was on the planet.
As the beam finally dissipated, Opherla turned to Master Roshi, a knowing smile on her face as a small tear streaked down her cheek, as Master Roshi gave Opherla a firm nod.
"I always knew you would perform the technique so well." Master Roshi said with a smile on his face at Opherla. "You remind me of Gohan in a way, young Opherla." Roshi would add. "So much desire and vigor, even so early in your walk to a greater power. I see it clearly. One day, you too, will become a legend of your own right. You have so much you fight for.... Never forget any of that."
"I won't... thank you, Master Roshi, for teaching me such a powerful move." Opherla said with a smile and a bow to Roshi. "It was an honor to train under you, even for just two short weeks."
"The pleasure was mine. Now go. The Z-Fighters need you to get stronger, Opherla. Strong enough you will be able to defend this planet just as earnestly as they have. I wish you the best of luck in your bright future." Master Roshi said with a proud smile, giving Opherla a thumbs up.
Opherla smiled and winked, giving Roshi a thumbs up of her own before she took to the sky, and set her sights back home. It was time to get back to training. The only difference? She wasn't afraid of anything anymore. If she would die trying to defend this planet, she would die knowing she tried her absolute best.
It's what Callion would want her to do. No more running. A Saiyan fights until their very last breath. And that's exactly what Opherla was going to do. So it was time to stop being a coward. No more immaturity. No more running. Not from anything.
It was time to fight like a true Saiyan, and with the legendary Kamehameha in her repertoire... it was time for Opherla to write her own story, into the legendary pages of history just as many others had. It was time for Opherla's legend to start a new chapter, a new, heroic, braver chapter. A chapter of hope. A chapter of courage....
A chapter that would properly begin her legend... a legend that she hoped would make her mother and father proud, and all of her friends proud too....
