From the heated sands of the Diablo Desert, Zerori had made her way through the Western frontier all the way to territory that was a bit more familiar. Trees, green grass and more importantly - NO sand. It was actually a chance for Zerori to catch some rest and relax. Through the entire time that she’d been training until her muscles felt like they’d rip to traveling the globe in search of the dragon balls, Zerori was in desperate fucking need of a break.
Within the forest that sat below a large pillar that stretched for miles into the sky, a small camp had been set up. It wasn’t special but it had the necessities most would need. A campfire, a couple of logs to lean against and the fresh catch of a boar that looked suspiciously like it might have been able to talk. It didn’t do much talking at ALL to Zerori and she liked it just fine that way. Stabbed over a spit as she occasionally turned it to cook evenly, the boar would take a bit to finish cooking but the smell was already likely to attract all sorts of predators.
Along the ground and leaning against a log she’d found, Zerori was reading a book she’d materialized for light reading while tossing the radar she’d created up into the air and catching it seamlessly. It was a dangerous thing to do with a piece of prototype equipment but she never made anything that wasn’t tough enough to survive a drop. When she caught the radar from the air a final time, it was to put it off to the side and turn the spit again. She grinned, “You’re lookin’ better every time I lay eyes on ya,” She chuckled, her stomach already giving a heavy growl impatiently. “Tch, you’re lucky I don’t like raw shit,” She scoffed, leaning back and ready to continue her book.
It was an oddly peaceful scene, one of very few Zerori hadn’t gotten to indulge in, but like most times a peace - it could be shattered at any moment. Or, just maybe, there might be a different outcome this time…

Leaving West City for the wilderness was a rarity, a luxury that Kari really never thought that she could indulge in after her accident. But after her mother had caught wind that she was making progress in her recovery, she had dragged her back out to one of their own stomping grounds in order to get her body more reacclimated to her powers, seeing as they were weaker than they had been in the past. It was nostalgic, spending hours shooting beams into the sky and sending random objects flying around, but tiring still all the same. Fortunately, after quite a bit, she was allowed to take a break a bit. Unlike in the past, her mom gave her free reign to go around as much as she wanted. After all, she was an adult now. That and Kari honestly had a feeling that she wanted her to take some time to herself. Nonetheless, though, it gave her plenty of opportunities that she could not afford when she was young.
The first on her list was visiting that giant pillar she had noticed quite a while ago yet never found the time to visit. Neither of them knew what this was, although her mother really never cared. Unfortunately, her daughter didn't have the same restraint. Even now, she was curious, and she didn't care how long it took to get there. Surprisingly though, even with the rough ground making it difficult to move it around there, Kari got to the base of the pillar with time to spare. Not only that, there was a certain enticing smell that was growing a lot stronger the closer she could. Maybe it was the fact that she hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, but boy it smelled really nice.
But that also served another question, who was responsible for the smell? The moment the thought came to her mind, Kari tried to sense the area around her, finding a power level that dwarfed hers completely. She froze, a little afraid of what this could bring. It was highly likely whoever this was could have heard her already. After all, it was impossible to be quiet and stealthy, seeing as the wheelchair kept running over little bits of debris like sticks and rocks. But nonetheless, she would try her best to backpedal, struggling a little when a wheel got caught in a small hole. Bothering whoever this seemed like an awful idea.
