Location: Tropical Beach; Southern Continent - Planet Earth
Time: 07:59 AM
Shred sat in his ship's cockpit, staring out at the endless expanse of space. His mind was still processing the events of the day, and he could not shake the feeling that something wasn't right. He turned to Oracle, who was monitoring the ship's systems.
"Anything new, Oracle?" Shred asked, his voice echoing in the quiet of the ship.
"Nothing out of the ordinary, Shred," Oracle replied, her synthesized voice calm and steady.
Shred nodded, but he could not help but feel restless. He knew that there was always something more to discover, always a new challenge waiting just beyond the horizon. Suddenly, Oracle spoke up again, "Shred, I'm detecting something unusual by the Tropical beach in the Southern Continent, my sensors are picking some kind of unusual wreckage..." Shred's interest was piqued, and he immediately swivelled his chair towards the console. "What kind of something?" he asked.
"I'm not sure," Oracle replied, "But it's emitting a strange energy signature that I've never seen before. I suggest we investigate." Shred didn't need any further convincing. He jumped out of his chair and made his way to the ship's cargo bay, where he retrieved his energy blade and a few other tools. He made his way back to the cockpit, where he and Oracle plotted a course to the Southern Continent, where Tropical beach resided.
As they landed on the beach, Shred could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He knew that they were about to discover something truly remarkable, something that could change the course of their lives forever, and possibly make A LOT of Zeni on the side. As Shred made his way towards the beach where the wreckage had been reported, he couldn't help but suddenly start to feel a sense of unease. It was not the first time he had been sent on a mission like this, but something about this one felt different. Perhaps it was the fact that no one knew where the wreckage had come from, or maybe it was the nagging feeling in the back of his mind that he could not shake.
Shred arrived at the beach and began scanning the area for any signs of danger. His armor's sensors were top-of-the-line, and he trusted them to keep him safe. Oracle chimed in through his earpiece, "I'm detecting multiple energy signatures in the area, be on high alert." Shred nodded in acknowledgement, his hand tightening around the handle of his energy blade. As he approached the wreckage, he noticed that it was more extensive than he had anticipated. There were crates of supplies, bits of tech scattered about, and several pieces of metal that looked like they had once been part of a ship. Shred's eyes narrowed as he scanned the area for any signs of life.
They made their way towards the source of the energy signature, their steps quiet and measured. As they drew closer, Shred could feel the hairs on the back of his neck standing on end. There was something different about this discovery, something that he couldn't quite put his finger on. And then, they saw it. A small object, barely the size of a fist, lying on the sand. It was pulsing with a strange energy, and as Shred approached it, he felt a jolt run through his body.
He picked up the object, examining it closely. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before, and he could feel its power coursing through him.
"Oracle, can you analyze this?" Shred asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Needless to say, this particular Cerealian was fascinated by such a discovery and he needed to know what exactly he was seeing with both his own eyes and the technological aspect, so he needed Oracle’s point of view now more than ever.
"Of course, Shred," Oracle replied, her voice almost reverent. "This is something truly remarkable. It's emitting an energy signature that I've never seen before. It could be the key to unlocking some impressive energy source, something that the Earthlings wouldn’t understand." That was when Shred smirked, “However, we can… This could catch a very nice price on the Intergalactic Black Market, which means more zeni for us, and new piece of armour and weapons… Heheh… Not bad…” Truly a tale as old as time, whenever Zeni was involved the Cerealian’s mind worked into overtime, calculating and imagine the sheer profile the many alien species across the galaxy or even the universe would pay to get their hands on this rare and valuable piece of hardware. The Earthlings on this planet couldn’t possibly make heads or tails about it, and as far as he saw it, this was practically an easy win for the Cerealian!
Suddenly, a group of bandits emerged from behind the wreckage, wielding energy guns and brandishing knives. Shred remained calm, his armor's defences already activated. He quickly took stock of their numbers and movements, planning his attack strategy. The bandits charged towards him, firing their energy guns in rapid succession. Shred dodged and weaved around their attacks, his energy blade slicing through their weapons with ease. Oracle chimed in with tactical advice, guiding him through the fight.
As the battle raged on, Shred noticed something strange about the bandits. They seemed different from the typical raiders he encountered. They were more organized, more heavily armed, and their energy guns had a unique design he hadn't seen before. Finally, Shred emerged victorious, with the last of the bandits lying unconscious at his feet. He inspected their equipment and discovered a strange insignia etched onto their energy guns. It was a symbol he did not recognize, but it was clear that these bandits were part of a larger organization.
Shred knew he needed to investigate further. He decided to take his ship to the nearest town and gather information about this mysterious organization. As he flew towards the town, Oracle continued to analyse the data they had gathered.
Once they arrived, Shred made his way to the local bar, a popular spot for information brokers and mercenaries. He approached the bartender, a grizzled old man with an eye patch.
"Hey there, old timer. I am looking for some information. Have you heard anything about a group of bandits with a unique symbol on their weapons?" Shred asked.
The bartender looked up at him, studying him for a moment before responding.
"I might know something, but it's gonna cost ya," the bartender said, eyeing Shred's armor. Shred did not hesitate to slide a few credits his way. The bartender leaned in, speaking in a hushed tone.
"I've heard rumours about a group of bandits that call themselves the Black Suns. They are a dangerous bunch, known for their brutal tactics and advanced technology. I wouldn't mess with them if I were you," the bartender warned. Shred thanked him for the information and left the bar, deep in thought. The Black Suns sounded like a formidable foe, but he could not let their activities go unchecked. He knew he needed to find out more.
As he made his way back to his ship, Oracle chimed in with a new discovery.
"Shred, I have detected a strange energy signature coming from the beach where we encountered those bandits. It appears to be some sort of high-tech device, but I cannot identify its purpose," Oracle informed him.
Shred knew he needed to investigate. He set a course back to the beach, determined to uncover the truth behind this mysterious organization and their technology. "Elaborate Oracle, I want the full details." Shred, commanded, wanting as much important information as possible.
"Of course, Shred," Oracle responded, projecting a holographic display of the device in question. "From my analysis, this device appears to be some sort of energy generator, emitting a high level of radiation that is consistent with advanced technology. However, its purpose is unclear without further examination." This… made Shred both curious and rather worried. To hear such a dialogue from his own A.I and it was having difficulty trying to decode what is it’s purpose despite it being a energy generator of high radiation quality, that was going to be bad for business, and so he had to try a more physical approach to the matter. Fortunately, his armor was radiation proof for such a task.
Shred examined the holographic display closely, trying to determine what the device could be used for. "Is there any way to get a closer look at the device without drawing attention to ourselves?" Shred asked, concerned about the possibility of encountering more of the Black Suns. "I can create a stealth field around the ship to make us invisible to their sensors," Oracle replied. "However, there is a risk that we may be detected if we get too close." Shred weighed the risks, considering his options. He knew that the device could hold valuable information about the Black Suns and their operations, but he did not want to put himself in unnecessary danger.
"Alright, let's proceed with caution," Shred said, making his decision. "Activate the stealth field and keep us at a safe distance." As they approached the beach, the stealth field shimmered into place, rendering the ship invisible to any nearby sensors. Shred carefully scanned the area, looking for any signs of the Black Suns.
"There, just ahead," Oracle pointed out, directing his attention to a small group of individuals huddled around the device. Shred brought the ship in closer, still maintaining a safe distance. He used his advanced sensors to scan the device, gathering as much information as he could without alerting the Black Suns to their presence. "Interesting, the energy output of this device is unlike anything I've ever seen," Shred remarked, studying the data.
Suddenly, the group of individuals surrounding the device began to disperse, as if they had sensed something. Shred quickly powered down the ship's systems, hoping to avoid detection. After a few tense moments, the group of individuals left the area, and Shred breathed a sigh of relief. He knew that they could not stay there for long without risking exposure, so he made the decision to leave the area and return to his ship.
As they arrived inside the ship, Shred could not help but wonder what other secrets the Black Suns were hiding. He knew that he needed to keep investigating and stay one step ahead of them if he wanted to uncover the truth.
"Oracle, initiate Diary Audio recording 004 - Unique Vessel. I want to begin my new Diary log. Whilst I am doing so, be sure to put in the Black Suns under the Hostile category." Shred commanded of his A.I unit onboard his High-Tech Armor. "Understood, Shred. Diary Audio recording 004 - Unique Vessel initiated. Adding the Black Suns to the Hostile category," replied Oracle.
Shred settled back into his chair, his mind racing with the events of the day. He had successfully taken down the group of bandits and discovered a mysterious object that seemed to be of great importance to the Black Suns. He could not help but wonder what their ultimate plans were and what kind of danger they posed to the galaxy.
"Today's encounter was a close call, but I was able to come out on top thanks to my training and quick thinking. However, the Black Suns are a dangerous organization that must be monitored closely. I will need to keep a close eye on any further activity in the area," Shred spoke into the recording.
He continued, "The discovery of this unique vessel also poses a great mystery. I will need to investigate further to determine its origins and purpose. Perhaps it holds the key to unravelling the Black Suns' plans."
With the recording complete, Shred turned his attention to his next move. He plotted his course to investigate the wreckage further and unravel the secrets of the unique vessel. The adventure had only just begun, and he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
