It had been a bit since Zaks' little uplifting done to Opherla back at her own home area in the Western Continent after the events of South City. Zaks had reignited the spark Opherla had for getting stronger and Opherla was not going to lie down and die anymore. No. She had to train, in all things possible, so she could be the protector this Earth needed. It wasn't a want anymore. It was a need. And she had to fulfill that need as quickly as possible.
She chose the Bamboo Forest because Zaks made one thing clear during their fight: Opherla's mind wasn't prepared for battles like she had taken part of. So she needed to get herself mentally strong to be able to handle, and not run away from the heat of battle when all hope seems lost. The Bamboo Forest was perfect for getting her mind cleared and allowing her training to fully begin. And so, she would take a seat in a clearing of the forest... and begin to meditate, and train her mind and spirit. Though, if anyone did show up, she wouldn't mind talking with them in a peaceable manner.

Out of all the places on Earth Terra had seen, The Bamboo Forest was probably the LEAST needy of her help! Little spires of plantlife grew in clusters almost everywhere you look, a community whispering and swaying together as if to gossip whenever a particularly strong wind passed them by! Shrubs bordered the forest, bushes of all types, even small grasses covering the ground resembling lawn grass. The sky was blue, the air was clear... and Terra felt great. She had come here at first to hone her craft, maybe learn to sprout stalks of bamboo as BIG and STRONG as these... but now, she just wanted to walk through it all... SEE it all... if only to enjoy the serene grace of the plants. For a time, the little pink majin kept the the path, watching her steps carefully for larger rocks that poked out of the ground now ant then... Quickly, however, Terra would grow bored and begin to wander, stumbling across a girl!
...But not a normal one, at least, not at first glance! Wolf-like ears sprouted from the top of the stranger's head! She... LOOKED like a human (or maybe a saiyan... those two looked a LOT alike...) but she had HEAD-EARS! So... weird... What was more, she seemed to be me-duh-tate-ing... or just napping, either way lost in whatever she was doing! Maybe... Maybe Terra should leave. After all, she didn't want to disturb the nice lady... But the longer she stared at those wolf-ears... the more curious she became! After a moment of consideration, the majin's curiosity overwhelmed her better judgement! Slowly, cautiously, Terra would sneak up behind the girl, her hands reaching up towards her ears! She... just NEEDED to feel them, to KNOW they were real! And why not!? Since when do you see people with animal-like people? ...Okay, How often do you see animal-like people that were more people than animal?
NOT OFTEN!
"...Nnnngh..." Terra grunted softly, standing on her tippy-toes to reach for the stranger's ears... just barely falling short! "...Almost... there..."

Opherla was training her mind harshly to become mentally stronger for the training ahead so she could protect the planet... but suddenly she couldn't shake the feeling... a presence coming closer and closer... but she would keep to her training, not letting the presence bother her in the least bit.
At least, until she got close. The young girl was closing in on her, but why? Opherla suddenly felt her really close to her... she was reaching up... was she... trying to grab her ears? Opherla thought it amusing that this little kid wanted to grab her ears so desperately, but Opherla decided to play a little prank on the unsuspecting kid, and suddenly...
"GOTCHA!" Opherla exclaimed as she POUNCED on Terra! The tiny Majin was suddenly scooped up and brought in to the embrace of this strange woman, as Opherla wrapped her tail around Terra to help prevent her escape. "I got you, little ear grabber! You won't escape me!" Opherla giggled as she held Terra close to her.

Terra stood on the VERY ENDS of her toes just to get those extra half-inches of height, her fingers just BARELY grazing the base of the woman's ears! They all felt so real... Could they be...? SUDDENLY, the woman would WHIRL around, WRAPPING Terra up in her arms, wrapping her wolf-like tail around her to doubly-ensure her capture! The majin let out a YELP of surprise, perhaps even fear, which evolved quickly into laughter once she realized she wasn't in danger! Terra squirmed and fought playfully with the woman who held her... But the Majin quickly realized... that this lady was STRONG! Like... REALLY strong! So strong, in fact, that if Terra REALLY WAS scared and tried to get away, she didn't think she could muscle her way out of her grip! That thought made her pause for only a second, pondering her options in case this went sour. In a matter of moments, though, she was back to her ol' playful self!
"AH! NOOOOOO~!" Terra cried out in mock-dread as the woman proclaimed her capture! Terra writhed and squirmed a little more... before eventually relaxing, letting out a soft sigh as she wrapped her arms around the woman, returning her hug! Terra couldn't help it! Hugs were nice! The little pink majin basked in the warmth of the stranger, even closing her eyes for a bit as she enjoyed the moment, memories of Ayu hugging and playing with her like this flashing through her mind. She felt safe here... cozy... almost as if she had known this woman forever and that this was just part of their daily routine. She sensed nothing but good intentions from the stranger, reading her as just another kindly, playful soul. ...Maybe that's why she felt so at-peace with her... they were kindred spirits!
"What your name?" Terra asked for a while, looking up into the eyes of the wolf-girl! The majin's eyes glowed red with gentle warmth and curiosity, almost like a campfire discovering its boundaries. "You very cool-looking... Want to know you more!"

Opherla was glad the kid recognized she meant no ill intentions with the capture here. Opherla couldn't help it, when she was around kids, she could forget about the world and just play with them and be friends with them. However, she noticed that this kid was actually stronger than most kids she knew, having a notable power level to her and actually struggling quite well in Opherla's grip! Still, the two shared a nice, warm hug which made Opherla feel all warm inside, as if the worries of this world were just gonna fade away in this hug. Opherla knew they wouldn't, in reality, but still... this was a nice change of pace.
"My name is Opherla." Opherla greeted the tiny Majin with a friendly smile to the little Majin, as she wondered something else. Just who was this girl's parents? Did she have parents? If so, where were they? Maybe those questions would be answered later but... for now it was time for a teenage-to-kid play date!
"Heh, I've been called cool by a lot of kids." Opherla admitted upon hearing Terra call her cool looking. "I guess you were drawn to me by my ears, weren't ya? You naughty little ear grabber~" Opherla would tease as she tickled Terra slightly for trying to grab Opherla's ears, before she stopped and smiled brightly and warmly to the Majin, letting her know as long as she was with Opherla, she was safe and sound.
"If you want to know more about me, first I need to know about you, little one! What's your name?" Opherla would ask the young Majin curiously as she held the smile, enjoying every moment spent with Terra.

"Oh-Ferrrr-...Laaaaah..." Terra repeated, sounding out the woman's name! It was a pretty name, a gentle name, reflective of the girl that held her! Terra smiled widely up at the wolf-eared Opherla, snuggling herself into her arms so that she was comfortable in her grip! "I Terra! It nice to meetcha!" When the little pink majin called her cool, Opherla boasted how she got them a lot from kids like Terra... then attacked the little majin with a round of tickles! Terra YELPED in surprise, then uncontrollable laughter, her pink, rubbery skin susceptible to the wild dances Opherla's fingers made across it! Terra squirmed and batted at Opherla's hands, desperately trying to fight off this sudden assault all the while begging for mercy! Opherla wouldn't let up immediately, however, playfully accusing the little girl of being attracted to her through her ears!
"Nun... NOOOOH~!" Terra cried in defiance, tears rolling down her cheeks! By the time Opherla was done with her, Terra was already exhausted! She lay cradled in the woman's arms, her heart POUNDING in her ears, her chest rising and falling heavily as if NO AMOUNT of air would fill the deficit inside! Tears slowly ebbed down Terra's cheeks from the MIGHTY TICKLE-ATTACK, her eyes dropped low with exhaustion. Heck, if Terra wanted to, she could just fall asleep right now, allow her exhaustion to carry her away into dreamland. She could've... but she didn't. Instead, she smiled up at Opherla who, in turn, beamed down at her, the two enjoying their silent closeness for a time. It was nice... warm... Terra felt safe in Opherla's arms, despite them only having met a second ago. After a while, Opherla would ask more about the majin, expressing a desire to know her better!
"Oh! Okay! Um... Came here... to learn to grow thing!" Terra explained her hands shooting up over her head as if to mimic the sprout of a plant! "I grow thing fast! Big plant, small plant! Wanna know more about big plant. Wanna grow big plant better!" She wiggeled a hand towards the surrounding bamboo! "It look strong! Need strong plant at home!" Terra would then reach up and gently touch the tip of her finger to Opherla's nose, giving it a very light poke! "Now it YOU'RE turn! Tell me 'bout you!"

Opherla could feel how exhausted she had made the tiny Majin as she let Terra rest as much as she wanted to in her arms, heck, she might as well have laid down with her and taken a nap with her on the spot, but the kid's energy was still pushing her on and Opherla respected that, being drawn to this tiny Majin as she continued holding Terra close to her. If Opherla was honest, a part of her didn't want to let the Majin go. She wanted to train her, to protect her, to help her grow into a fine and good Majin girl.
Opherla was surprised to hear that Terra came to the forest wanting to grow things. She wanted to grow things, huh? That immediately told Opherla that instead of death, Terra wanted to see life thrive on this planet. If Opherla wanted Terra to be safe before, she most DEFINITELY wanted Terra to be safe and happy now. And Opherla was going to do all she could in her power to make Terra safe and happy.
"You want to learn to grow things, huh?" Opherla asked with a curious smile. "That's a great power to have. I hope you can become really good at that. I love looking at plants." Opherla said with yet another smile.
Terra then would ask Opherla more about her, and Opherla bit her lip... South City was still a firm reminder of who she was in the grand scheme of things. A pup. A weakling. Someone else to be another casualty. She didn't want to lie to Terra but at the same time... she didn't want to become not cool anymore to Terra as well.
"Well... I'm a Wolf and a Saiyan." Opherla said with a smile to Terra. "I'm training to become Earth's mightiest guardian! Protector of everything, including kids just like you!" Opherla would say as she would lift Terra up high, only for a moment, however, as she soon lowered her back into their close embrace. "I've not been doing a good job of that lately, but that's because I have to become stronger. Much, much stronger than I am now." Opherla stated. She felt like that was the best truthful answer she could give to this young Majin who was so curious about her.

"Yuh-huh!" Terra beamed! "I be best plant-grower ever! Even better than Auntie Ayu!" It may take time, but she DEFINITELY could do it! She knew because her Auntie had said so! Honestly, though, Terra simply couldn't understand why her Momma was struggling so much to find people to play with her... Everyone was so NICE! Look, she had only met Opherla like a second ago and they were already friends! She knew her Momma could do it if she tried, make friends to play with! So... why was it so hard for her?
WELL! Now it was Opherla's turn! Terra giggled as she was lifted into the air, Opherla explaining that she was training to protect everyone! She wanted to be a guardian! The little pink majin's eyes widened in wonder... then fluttered shut as she pulled back into Opherla's tender embrace! So... In otherwords... Opherla wanted to be a superhero! If the majin wasn't in AWE of her before, she CERTAINLY was now! Terra clung to her new friend as tightly as she could, giving her the biggest hug her little arms could muster! Terra had heard stories of the brave and powerful protectors of the world, people who spend all day and night training for the one day they actually gotta stand up and protect people. She had never thought she'd actually meet one, let alone one so nice and friendly! She had always seen them as the stoic protectors, the golems that come to life whenever a threat is detected! ...At least, that's what all the comic books her Momma gave her told her! She was so happy that wasn't true...
"Nuh-uh! Not true you not do good!" Terra refuted, shaking her head! "You try! Matters enough you try! Lotta people no can do anything... NO WANT to do anything! You not like that. You do your best, we do our best, all good then!" She grinned, hugging Opherla a little tighter! "...It not bad thing if you not strong enough yet. You waaaaay stronger than me! I can tell!" She winked playfully up at her newest buddy, flexing an arm for her to drive home her point!

Ayu... that was a name that struck Opherla close to home. She knew Ayu. That kind, powerful, wonderful green friend... who likely has just snapped and is going on a tirade to Liari over in South City. It pinged Opherla so much that Terra noticed a tear roll from her eye... and a small sob emitting from Opherla. What could it mean? Was Auntie Ayu okay? Did Opherla know something about Ayu that made her sad? What could have made her so sad upon hearing about Auntie Ayu?
Terra could only assume, with her next words after she saw this, that it had something to do with Opherla not being strong enough, as it caused more tears to flow from Opherla, and more sadness to come out of her. Opherla must not be as strong as Auntie Ayu then. But why was she crying about it so suddenly?
"You are such a bundle of joy and happiness, you know that?" Opherla asked with a sad smile. "But... Ayu... I tried helping Ayu... I tried to save a lot of people... but... Liari... she... Oh, all those people she killed..." Opherla cried more, remembering the people who died the moment Liari went Great Ape, and the moment Ayu snapped and exploded in power. Opherla couldn't compare to her or anyone, not at her current level...

Terra blinked, feeling a sudden change in the air. The moment Terra mentioned her auntie... something changed in Opherla... something big. A drop splashed onto Terra's forehead and, when the little blue girl looked up to see where it came from... she saw that the hero that held her... was crying...? Terra's eyes shot wide, uncertain of what to do! Did... did she say something wrong? She must've! Opherla seemed perfectly fine and dandy a second ago! Instantly, Terra would try to pull back, thinking her hug had done something. Then, her mind scrambled for some kind of apology, to find something TO apologize for! Terra didn't know WHAT she did, but she was sorry for it. What was it though-
...Then the ball dropped. Opherla opened with a compliment, but it had none of the honest, fuzzy warmth she had a minute ago. It was... sad... as if dripping with black, sick... It was as if she were saying it... to comfort what was coming next. Opherla spoke as if she had just come back from a horrible battle, a battle in which she and AYU were both in! Terra's mind raced, her heart pounded! Her auntie... fighting...? Wh... F-fighting WHO? Who could possibly push HER Auntie Ayu, the sweetest, nicest, most loving lady on Earth, to FIGHT!? The most she'd ever seen her fight are the socks that were somehow left around the house! Never actually... raise a hand to someone! She... Terra froze as Opherla mentioned the majin's momma, implying that she... had killed people Opherla had been trying to save. Terra's jaw dropped... closed... opened as if to speak... then closed again. Her eyes were as wide as saucers, her expression a mix of shock, confusion and disorientation!
"M...Momma...? H...hurt people...?" Terra whispered, her voice choked in the back of her throat. "...Auntie... fight.... Momma...?" The little girl struggled for words, way more now than usual. It was as if voicing these thoughts... these HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE conclusions... caused her pain... The majin blinked... staggered back a step... then fell... her mind fading to black... as she was overwhelmed...

Opherla gasped the minute Terra hit the ground, as her eyes widened from the sudden drop of the tiny Majin. Opherla, you really did it this time! You knocked out a kid, just by telling her that her mom had been involved! And she could feel the powers in South City dwindling... she had to get Terra out of the way of that. So Opherla made a resolve. She would protect Terra. At any and all costs! She picked up the tiny Majin in her arms.
"I'm sorry Terra... you weren't ready to know yet..." Opherla admitted with a sigh. "I'll make it up to you though. Let's go to my place... you're gonna live and train with me now, so we can both be great heroes." Opherla said, and so, what was once sadness... was now a full on resolve. She would resume her training. She would train with Terra. She had to make sure she, and Terra, were ready to face this cruel, cruel world....
